he’s so personable and relatable
(and real - for the part where he laid down in the trackpants... that he wore... and sat on the sidewalk after the beach) but thats fine people do that
flipping around tv channels and testing out the karaoke machine, having a similar rxn to ‘oh shit it works but kinda loud lemme just turn the volume down real quick’ moment
walking in the wrong direction then using his navigation app, saying it could be scary at night to walk down that tunnel cuz fr it rlly will be
the way he woke up bc of bugs and wanted to share the moment w stays :”
he just casually chatted while kneading the sujebi dough
staring into the fire and angling the camera the same way
sharing how his friend is afraid to go camping bcos of something he watched/read and the friend sent him that but he wldnt watch that in camp HASDHD
also i loved the magic powder and the naksansa walk, saying that may your wishes come true T_T
also i like how he always wears that pair of pants #practical_wardrobe
that was a fun hangout thank you for documenting and sharing your life :)

2018/10/03 ; South Korea ; Seoraksan & Naksansa ; Rewind
My most favourite day trip I’ve been on since I’ve been in South Korea is the trip to Seoraksan (설악산) National Park and Naksansa (낙산사) temple in the Gangwon province. It requires a 5am rise (if you live in Gyeonggi), and a 3 hour coach trip from Seoul, but I promise they are both two of the most beautiful places in the country.
Seoraksan is a mountain range (san 산 means mountain in Korean) that overlooks Sokcho, and is one of the highest points in the country. The views from the bottom are incredible, and those from the top are even more so. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be incredibly fit to hike up the mountain (I’m not); there’s a cable car to take you up. The only thing that spoils this place is the sheer amount of people.
Within the area of Seoraksan, a few minutes walk away from the cable car, is Sinheungsa (신흥사) temple. The temple is currently still being built, but there are monks already living there, so you have to stay quiet and respect their way of life. This temple was so quiet and peaceful that it’s hard to believe that it’s right next to Seoraksan, which was the total opposite.
Another 45 minute drive away, toward the coast of Gangwon-do, is Naksansa temple. This place is my favourite place in the whole of Korea. The grounds of this temple are huge, you could easily get lost if you don’t have a map, and with all the monks and temple-stagers wondering around, the sound of the ocean waves filling the air, it’s easy to feel completely immersed in this beautiful place. The atmosphere is so serene and peaceful, and the fact we caught it on such a beautiful day made it even better.
If you’re visiting Korea and only venture outside of Seoul once, I highly recommend you go to Naksansa. But you can see both of these places on a lot of tours; I think most companies group them together. I got mine from Trazy, a site specifically for foreigners.
