RIN

Definitely tolerates you more than anyone else. This man has a patience of a lady in her worst mood during period. Let's say you aren't the best in english as most japanese are, or even as worse as bachira, he'd take time to actually try to teach you rather than wait for you to try and pronounce words that would make his ear irk. He'd even share his twin popsicles with you. And maybe, just maybe, he'd watch you fall asleep on your desk.

SAE

He'd buy you nice souvenirs from his trips. He's definitely the type to stare at one thing he passes by and thinks oh, this reminds me of them, and then proceeds to by it and gift it. He'd pass it out casual though. I don't think Sae is the type to get all flustered and overthink when he has a crush, I think he'd be chill about it. He's like, oh, i kinda like them, cool. He's the type to show it so casually you wouldn't even realize he likes you, and until he's decided to ask you out or you found out, he'd keep it that way.

NAGI

Man, I don't know. This guy's a slug and freaking dense. He wouldn't even know he likes you, and even he did he'd treat you no different than a friend. Okay, maybe a little bit more, but Nagi is the type to be effortless with everything except football. If he likes you enough, then I think he'd actually put in a little more effort into talking to you or staying awake while you talk his ears out in class. But if it's just a little admiration then there's no difference from that to being his friend.

REO

Ah, definitely talks yours ears out every damn second. Don't expect seeing him without a gift for you. He spoils you a lot. Treats you like his significant other even before he asks you out, which is not far off because obviously he can never hide what he's feeling. Everyone can see he likes you, even you. He accompanies you almost everywhere, asks your favorite everything just to bring them to you the next day, texts you day and night. How dreamy.

CHIGIRI

Lets you make silly princess comment on his hair. He doesn't get annoyed, playfully bites back on your remarks. Indulges you in your rants about fashion, skin care, hair care, make up, routines and even adds things he uses or thinks might be good. He might awkward about liking you at first, but remains casual about it and doesn't mention or think about it often. It just comes naturally as if he's talking to a friend he's comfortable with.

BAROU

Man, this one's tough. Definitely indenial at first, he wouldn't even know what he's feeling. He's not stupid, but he's also not one to think he could actually like someone since he's definitely got high standards for himself and for other people. He'd shake off the feeling at first, might even tend to be harsher with you ay times, but gradually just accepts it but swears never to mention or bring it up. Becomes more attentive to your hygiene and habits. Avoids the topic of liking someone like a plague. Never ever asks you out. (Liked but never pursued heh)

KUNIGAMI

This one's the type to get flustered when he realizes it. Gets all shy around you at first and Chigiri definitely notices and points it out. Decides to listen to Chigiri's advice to just act normal and cool because he's being too obvious. Tries not to get flustered around you but everytime he sees you it reminds him of his realization. Is definitely more protective of you when other guys are around, especially with ones like Raichi and the bald monk I forgot the name of. Acts of service type of guy.

BACHIRA

Too perceptive for his own good, sees it coming. He doesn't care whether anyone notices or not. Not the type to be shy about anythin and that includes having a crush on you. Sticks to you like a leech and talks to you 10x more. Notices your little hobbies and tries to match then so you could have something in common. I just know he's the type to do these cute little things because he just wants to enjoy things with people he likes.

ISAGI

Ah the shy-est one. Dense, indenial at first, but the ever so nosy Bachira notices and makes him realize it. Will stutter around you and get a little fidgety but pays more attention to you than ever. Helps you with even the smallest tasks like carrying things or helping making a decision and giving advices. If it's in school, he'd even offer to walk you home but then get all flustered. The sweetest.

To Rin, you look like a doll and he mentions that again and again. It's a compliment, of course. Bachira always gets excited to see which dress you're wearing next. He also has a few select favourites of your clothes, but he doesn't tell you which ones. Although he always gets a bit extra excited when he sees you wearing them, so you figure it out quite quickly. On days when you don't wear anything lolita, Bachira always asks "Is everything okay??? Aryu adores you and everything about your style! He never looked into lolita fashion before he became friends with you, but you certainly awakened his interest in it. He has no intention of dressing like that by himself, but he loves picking new clothes for you and he gets incredibly happy whenever you ask him which outfit you should wear. He also loves to style your hair!

Your cute clothes always trigger some sort of cuteness aggression in Tokimitsu. He constantly wants to hold your hand and hug you. Whenever you run towards him for a hug as a greeting, he picks you up and spins you around a little. ISAGI and BACHIRA were your first encounter of many, many, more mermaids to come.

While the former needed some time to grow used to your presence, the latter embraced you with open arms (or fins you suppose), always having a toothy grin on his face as he happily assisted you in your endeavours. Whether it was gathering rocks, fish, or sea plants for your studies, they eagerly lent their aid, making research so much easier for you. You definitely got lucky with them, who knows what they might’ve tried if their intentions were more sinister…

It’s hard not to grow attached to the pair of them. Luckily for you, it seemed that the affection was mutual or at the very least, they tolerated you and that was good enough!

Isagi, in particular, welcomes your inquiries about mermaid culture and their species as a whole, answering them to the best of his ability. He’s so earnest and genuine that you begin to feel a little guilty not giving him anything in return, so you try to gift him random things he might like every now and then. Though, your first attempt still haunts you to this day..!

Isagi's reaction catches you off guard as you observe his face, his wide eyes fixed attentively on the trinket nestled in his palm. The longer the two of you remained in silence, the more panic built up inside of you. "…do you not like it? Bachira's affectionate nature contrasts a lot with Isagi's initial wariness. In the beginning when you remained safely aboard your boat (still debating on whether they’d try kill you or not), he whined that speaking to you while you were so far away was so difficult! Just come a little closer, he doesn’t bite!

Most of the time anyway.

But in the end, it was worth being patient because now the both of you are like two dolphins in a pod! The other merpeople often find him holding your hand in his or trying to drag you into the depths below. “What? It’s not dangerous at all! Can’t humans swim?”

He seems genuinely disappointed that you cannot stay underwater for more than a minute at best. The frown on his face is cute, but it tugs at your heartstrings any time you see it and you thought to yourself, maybe you should try to cheering him up?

The sudden weight on your shoulders startles you but the familiar voice that follows instantly calms your nerves. "It's really you! Did you finally learn how to grow gills?"

Bachira's words are accompanied by a radiant smile. He gestures to (what he thinks are supposed to be) your clothes with a curious expression. Unable to respond verbally with a snorkel pressed to your face, you opt to gently squeeze his cheek in affection. You should be mindful of indulging him too much though, knowing full well that his enthusiasm could set some unrealistic expectations.

As much as you cherish your underwater adventures with him, diving 24/7 is bound to come with a few side effects and your oxygen tank won’t last forever.

Overall, 10/10 experience with these two! Both are adorable, seemingly well-behaved (for you) and are very much so helpful.

As CHIGIRI joins Bachira and Isagi on one of their daily excursions to visit you, you're immediately struck by his appearance, a sight so beautiful that it leaves you slightly speechless.

However, your admiration is interrupted when you notice the scar marring one side of his tail. It’s only when he meets your eyes with an awkward yet understanding expression, that you realise you’re staring. Even with the mountain of apologies that spill from your lips, he reassures you with a gentle smile that he knows you’re not trying to be rude.

Because he looks like he’s in a mood on most days, you’re pleasantly surprised by his nonchalant personality and his sarcasm that was always delivered in a playful way (and not him being a jerk), never failing to make you laugh. He’s just naturally likeable, you think.

Once the initial awkwardness dissipates, befriending Chigiri is pretty easy!

Yet, despite your growing friendship, you hesitate to broach the topic of his scar, wary of going into potentially sensitive territory. Chigiri’s attempts to reassure you fall on deaf ears, as you continue to apologise for what seemed like the hundredth time.

“It’s fine, really. The scar’s just an injury I got a year ago, I don’t even think about it that much anymore…” he says again, patting you on the shoulder (which according to humans, should be comforting?)

However, your persistent apologies don’t seem to stop, much to his annoyance. With a swift flick of his tail, he splashes a wave of water in your direction, effectively stopping your stream of apologies mid-sentence.

He’s someone whose easy to get along with, easy on the eyes, and all in all easy to be around. What’s not to like?

NAGI captured your attention once you saw him sleeping on the sun-warmed rock, which prompted you to call out to him. After a brief pause, he wakes up, his metallic eyes flashing with annoyance that suggested your interruption was less than welcome.

Sheepishly, you attempted to ask him a few questions, but he simply closes his eyes and settles back onto the rock. With a resigned sigh, you retreat to the safety of your boat, choosing to bide your time and observe the surroundings while making notes for your research.

It’s only when Nagi begins to get tired of the waves sometimes thrashing against his skin or other merfolk bothering him that he decides, enough was enough. He’s kept an eye on the seemingly smooth surface that you often stand on, which could be a perfect spot for him to relax!

He proposes quite the enticing deal for both parties involved: in exchange for allowing him to nap on your water-house-thing, he’ll help with some research. “It’s just answering questions, right?”

Excited at the thought of more information, you eagerly accept his offer — completely unaware to the fact that he just sleeps. Like. All day. However you soon discover that in spite of this, he’s actually quite intelligent. Hand him a puzzle, a memorisation game or even something like Sudoku and he’ll probably solve it within a few seconds.

As Nagi places the final puzzle piece onto the board, effortlessly completing the ‘task’ you set him, a sense of satisfaction washes over you even with his complaints. You’ve grown used to his nonchalant tone, even if he unconsciously insults your decisions. “It’s just looking at the picture and making it, it’s not that hard.”

You smile, “I think you'll find that you're just quite a clever person.”

The compliment stirs a warm, fuzzy feeling that Nagi can't quite describe inside of him. "Mhm…" he murmurs softly, content to bask in your presence and allowing his eyes to shut once more.

And finally, after the match between Blue Lock Eleven vs Japan U-20, they finally have days off from Blue Lock.

And so here you are, drinking a chocolate milkshake alongside him in Shibuya, walking side by side and telling him all about your days when he was in Blue Lock. Levi was silent and attentive, he sometimes asking or giving short response to you. He didn't need to say anything to tell you that he missed you because you could see it from the way his eyes followed you, and the way he pulled you closer to him. And both you and Levi were going to enter a restaurant until someone called his name.

"LEVIIII!!"

"Are you fucking kidding me?" You could hear him murmured to himself. You turned your head to see the person meanwhile Levi just sighed before doing the same.

And there you see them. The Blue Lock's members. Walking jogging towards the both of you. You don't actually really remember all of their names actually. So you just staring at them passively and keep sipping on your chocolate milkshake.

"Hey Levi!! You're out too huh? Who's this pretty lady? Your girlfriend?" The black-yellow haired male asked him, leaned down towards you with a wide grin.

Before you could opened your mouth, Levi answered him,

Yup, as usual, plain and simple. You're so glad he doesn't change. Then another voice reached your ears. "we're going together to karaoke! Wanna come to join us?"

The day Law had delivered you from your masters had undoubtedly been the best day of your life. You could finally leave behind your living as a slave and start anew. Joining the crew of your savior seemed like a good place to begin. You thus asked Law to join his crew, promising your loyalty to him and the Hearts.

Law accepted easily and said he appreciated your words but that you really didn’t have to be so ceremonial about it. You would be respected just like any other crewmember and no need for you to make more efforts than any of them.

The man became quite protective of you. He was pretty good at hiding it, not acting differently with you than any other Heart. Nevertheless, whenever you were alone he always checked up on you, asking how you were doing etc. He wanted to be sure you felt welcome, safe and at home on the submarine.

You could easily tell him about your nightmares, even wake him up in the middle of the night for it. You were the only person who he tolerated such behavior from. He got very little sleep already so he would usually cut into little pieces whoever woke him up, but not you. He knew you needed him.

It’s partially because of this that you felt so safe talking to him. He always listened quietly, intently. Whenever he would ask a question he’d make sure to remind you that you had no obligation to answer yet if you weren’t ready or ever for that matter.

It’s during one of those nights after a bad dream, as you were talking about it, that you revealed something new to the captain.

“I made them believe I was a mute.”

It of course immediately reminded him of someone.

“How did you keep the secret for so long?” Law asked gently, breaking the silence.

“Devil Fruit,” you declared. To complete your answer, you added: “I ate the Nagi Nagi no Mi when I was a kid. Panicked like an idiot the first time I accidentally muted myself.” The slightest chuckle escaped you.

Law was quiet. He couldn’t believe that he had found the new owner of the Nagi Nagi no Mi. It had been so long. All of a sudden he felt reunited with his old caretaker and friend.

You being you and the moment being fitted for it, Law explained: “I knew someone before you who had that fruit.”

You’d often be together in his office. You would use your power to filter out any sounds from outside the room. Even though Law liked to tease that he only enjoyed having you around for that, it wasn’t true in the slightest bit. He genuinely enjoyed your company, be it while he was working or at night.

Part of me wants to be like… Barou? Bc other than the fact that I am an obvious simp, the idea of being one of the only people whom Barou tolerates on an equal level just appeals to me lol.

Also, he’s such a mom. Total mom friend. When the members of the Blue Lock squad (+U20 crew, maybe, counting only Oliver, Sae, and Shidou) are legal and they inevitably go out bar-hopping at those ridiculously high-class clubs only Reo can afford, Barou’s fussing over everyone, whether he himself likes it or not. He’s yelling at everyone over the music to “Drink water, goddammit!” and handing them water bottles if they’re too out of it. He’s helping them not get filthy when their stomachs can’t hold up, he’s driving them home, and he’s texting them remedies to deal with hangovers because he cares for his friends he needs them to be in peak physical condition for practice and for fuck’s sake, they need to learn how to take care of themselves like adults and not make such a big fucking mess and dirty everything up. Especially the cleanliness part. Barou tells Chigiri he doesn’t care if Chigiri breaks a leg, that Chigiri’s useless anyway, that Chigiri picking his hair up off the floor is more important than his silly stupid leg.

At the same time, Barou helps Chigiri bandage his knee after practice. Not because he cares. It’s because the tape is rolling around untangled and messing up the floor. Don’t get it twisted, buddy. That’s an hc btw lol that was not canon but I totally see him as that kind of person because look, they may be ridiculously talented, but they’re still human as well as children. 5’7”+ babies

But I do believe Kunigami would be the loveliest friend. We’ve already seen it in the manga. He’s trustworthy, reliable, and a man of character, and yet (maybe precisely the reason) he still helps out teammates who readily dismiss or ignore him or possess none of the nobility Kunigami carries. He’s the friend who’s got your back no matter what, supports you always, pays attention to your minute, seemingly meaningless habits, and lets you cry on his shoulder.

The scene that solidified my love for him (other than his adorable blush when Isagi complimented him) was when Nagi chose advancing in his newly invigorated passion for soccer over his relationship with Reo despite everything Reo has given him (including soccer itself), coldly turned his back on Reo, and Reo is breaking down—his love for soccer, in fact, is one and the same with his love for Nagi but no one could understand, no one could possibly understand, and he’s weak, so weak—and Reo is despairing, collapsing in front of a pack of vultures, and at that utterly abysmal point when he’s certain of nothing except his own isolation, buried under the weight of his perceived inferiority, Kunigami has his back. This kid who is technically Reo’s rival and has just as much reason as the others to watch Reo fail, who has barely interacted with Reo before the match, lifts Reo up. Makes him watch Nagi’s retreating back. Makes him feel the visceral pain. And he says, “Never forget this moment. Let it consume you. Let it burn you. And once the embers have fallen quiet, let the final sparks fuel you.”

I think it was in your previous ask where I mentioned how Barou and Shidou are on opposite ends of the spectrum of ego. Barou plays for his own sake, while Shidou plays for soccer’s sake. I believe Kunigami exists outside of that spectrum altogether. His character is almost cliché; the typical hero-idolizing boy who hopes to grow up to become the chivalrous, upstanding men in his comic books. But in a cutthroat world where young men stop at nothing to gain an edge, where competition is the name of the game and the possibility of elimination far outweighs any chance of survival, where the life of a person hinges on being out for himself and himself alone, Kunigami is literally… an alien. Off the rails. Just, straight up, he doesn’t belong. He’s kind. He’s good. He sees, he feels, he cares. Who in their right mind does that in a place like Blue Lock?

Kunigami’s not selfish like Shidou, or self-absorbed like Barou. He doesn’t play soccer for soccer, or for himself. Rather, Kunigami plays soccer because he loves supporting others.

In the spectrum of ego, where the HECK does that fall?

I believe that’s why he’s a Wild Card. I guess I’m going all English-teacher-pointing-out-symbolism-that-was-never-intended here. All of the characters have pointed out that, other than his physique, his actual talent isn’t all that remarkable. But he stands out as a person because in a prison that intends to stamp out all civil decency, Kunigami is still good and kind. And that, above all else, makes him the best friend you could possibly have.

I can’t believe I’m rambling like this over a manga about soccer-obsessed high schoolers. Insert that “calm down, Greg, it’s just soccer” meme here lmao. These boys just got me feeling things .-.

- But that means that you fit together like pieces of a puzzle, an amazing warm cuddly puzzle… 

- Imagine your back tucked against his chest, his long arms wrapped securely around you while you both talk softly about what you’ll do with your futures

- Ren and Ran 1000% get involved at least 4 times a week, it’s no question that they absolutely adore you and you them, like sometimes when you go to visit Makoto you just end up playing with those two little rascals

Personality

Nagi has two faces to him. There the face of being upbeat, cheerful, and excessively cute that he shows the fans. Then there his true face that the members of HEAVENS and those outside it see. That he can be brat, rude, pretentious, and show no respect to others. Though, some of it does come from being the youngest and how people tend to either look down on him or not take him seriously due to his age. Which irks him like no other. He wants his work to be recognized not just for being a part of HEAVENS but as an individual.

Despite that, Nagi has been shown to be caring towards those he considers to be close on the level of family. Which is something he rarely let’s other sees as he has a persona to maintain outside those who know him. He has a hidden manipulative streak most are unaware of except for a few namely Eiji, Van, and Kira. The three of them from time to time have gotten on his case about it to the point he has stopped.

There are times when Nagi just craves attention even if it just a simple head pat. He mostly grew up without seeing much of his parent’s due to their respective jobs. In a way, he feel like he been neglected by them.

Life

Nagi grew up being praised as a genius even from a very young age. It did not help with him making friends in school though, as most just chose to ignore him and called him names. School work bored him and he had no interest in trying to make friends. Why bother when his classmates didn’t even give him the time of day to do so? Nagi has basically given up on connecting with those his own age. They were jealous and he didn’t care.

Home was no better. Not that his parents demeaned or made him feel lower than dirt. They were just rarely home to begin with due to their respective jobs. As much as he knew their work was important to them, but he wished they came home more often. There were times when he wanted to confine in them about his problems in school (mostly with his classmates). With them hardly being home, it impossible to. Nagi can only remember a handful of times where they were home and one of them was on his fifth birthday. It upsets him that he can’t experience the happy family others have. Leaving him rather envious of his classmates for being able to have something that he himself can’t.

It was heaven sent that when he was scouted by a Raging Entertainment agent and auditioned the very same day. He was on pin and needles the entire time after his audition. There was more than just him who had auditioned for the creation of a new group the president had in mind. When all those who had audition were called back into the room it was announced he was picked he could not help but cheer at his fortune. Though, he wasn’t aware that other members who would form HEAVENS would be older than him. Great. He wasn’t going to let the massive age difference deter him from earning the respect and trust of his bandmates.

Over time he grew close to the two and just in time for HEAVENS debut and the UtaPri Awards that almost followed right after it. Encountering STARISH was something he both dreaded as well as hated. If it weren’t due to their nut case president their groups wouldn’t be in the position they were in now. If either were to lose their respective group would have to disband. Thus, he treated them with hostility which was unfortunate as Natsuki ended up being a victim of it firsthand. As the story is told HEAVENS had lost, but they did not disband thanks to Saotome pulling some bs out his ass to keep it from happening. Nagi may have been grateful for that but he still blames Saotome for the whole thing.

For a year HEAVENS had dropped off the face of the media (much to Nagi’s annoyance). During that year HEAVENS had acquired four new members expanding their numbers to seven. Which he found to be unnecessary as it only made them seem like a STARISH knockoff (according to him anyway). But over time he learned to tolerate, accept, and then become close to the new members. Crashing the Tripe S Audition was probably the best damn thing HEAVENS had did as a combat as it threw the results into a complete disarray. Thus, having the auditions to be redone as fans protested and QUARTET NIGHT wanting a fair game between their respective groups along with STARISH.

Even though STARISH won the Triple S Auditions and he was comforted by his bandmates over their group’s lost. He eventually let it go.

Notes:

Nagi’s instrument is the viola. He has a secondary instrument that is the trumpet.

Despite being praised as a genius by his teachers. Nagi could really care less about their opinions. The only opinions he cares about are those from his parents that he hardly sees, more so since he became an idol. The opinions of HEAVENS does matter too, but it his parents he really want to hear from.

Nagi love geckos, he think they’re the cutest thing well, the cutest things since him! He would love you for life if you got him one. For some reason he loves reptiles, not all reptiles but some. Mostly some lizards, some snacks, and geckos. Give him all the geckos.

DGM OC Week - Day 4

There we go. The day I was waiting for y’all to see how I make my OCs suffer.

This is in a nutshell, I would have to make a pavement if I ever had to explain everything.

Gab is a single child of a jeweler and a miner. She wasn’t that poor and she lived pretty much a simple life. However, that was pretty much the outside her family gives. Actually, this family knew about the Holy War that was going. They were supporters of the Black Order and were supporting them with money and accessories for the Exorcists’ uniform.

They knew how to keep a secret very well and nobody, even a certain visitor that had to stay with them for months, noticed a single things.

Gab’s first meeting with her own Innocence was when she was pretty much young. When a certain infamous Cross Marian came in the jewelry shop to be a big d*ck to her mother (he’s a damn womanizer, what she was waiting from him), he came to say he “dropped” some bracelets in another shop. Of course he got kicked out. When her mother came to the said shop with her daughter, the latter became very insistent with keeping the bracelets, just in case. It was that day the Innocence chose her and only her noticed that. However, she kept it as a secret, as she has the direct feeling that if she ever leaves, that would cause possible disaster.

Said disaster happened when she was around 18-19 years old (6 months before Allen’s walker’s arrival for better understanding of the timeline). After another Exorcist came because of her family’s report on Akumas (because the day before, the bracelets took fire in the middle of the night), the Akumas attacked them. Only Gab and the Exorcist went out alive. She refused going with the Exorcist in the aftermath, but later she ended by accepted that she’s now someone who has to fight… and she hates fighting, anyway.

This is not a nutshell tho, I explained everything. This background story will be the exact same that it will be on Nagisa’s bio soon.

Nagisa spent a small part of her childhood in a city in England. Being the youngest of a family of five children, Nagisa always followed her elder brothers and sisters around. Her siblings protected her and took care of her much more than their own parents. Nagisa’s parents were negligent and strict -- enough to frighten their elder daughter and terrorize their youngest child. Being too young to understand this behavior, Nagisa did not know why her parents hurt her and her siblings. She remained at all times close to her brothers and sisters and obeyed her parents to avoid reprisals and beatings. She always looked up to her brothers and sisters, whom she called her models.

Nevertheless, when a good autumn day came around, Nagisa’s siblings all left. They fled, leaving behind Nagisa who was only 6 years old. Nagisa knew all too well why her siblings had fled, but she was uncertain why they had left her behind. She thought that perhaps her siblings had forgotten her accidentally and left -- that in spite of the family problems, they would be looking for her even now. She waited for a very, very long time, but they never returned. Had they died? Who knows, we have never revisited them. And meanwhile, at the house, the situation with her parents worsened and it fast became hell to Nagisa alone.

Nagisa endured this nightmare for a few more years (the naivety of "everything is going to return to normal one day") before having enough of it. After a harsh night of getting beat up, Nagisa fled, just like her siblings. Unlike her siblings, though, the 8 year-old girl was badly prepared to go out on her own. Even if she had grown up in this city, she still did not know where to go and did not even know where the closest hospital was. She ran as far as she possibly could, injured and completely lost, before finally collapsing in front of a random house, asking any God that could be out there to not let her fall into an eternal sleep. To what would be her surprise, she did not die that night.

By the time she had woken up, Nagisa found herself on a hospital bed; she had been helped by two good Samaritans. As it turned out, these two people (upon seeing her injuries) wanted to make it so that Nagisa would have a better life far from the mess she had left behind. Nagisa stayed with them at their home. During this time, it was found out that Nagisa had an uncle who she could live with. The young girl was smoothly transferred to live with him in another city a few months later.

Nagisa’s time spent with her uncle and his wife proved to be calm and quiet, a complete 180 turn compared to her experience with her parents. While she wasn’t as free as a bird, they were much more tolerant with her. Nagisa followed her uncle around more than anyone. He admired her strength and her kindness. Nagisa’s uncle was a lumberjack, and among his arsenal of axes was one which caught Nagisa’s attention. The ax was old, but even though her uncle did not use it anymore, he still continued to maintain it. Nagisa was too young to take care for the axes as her uncle did, but she would admire this old ax constantly.

Years passed where Nagisa learnt to cook and the best way to sneak wandering cats into the house, all the while eyeing the old ax. One month before her 16th anniversary, her persistent self succeeded at convincing her uncle to let her get the weapon and started teaching her how to use it properly. It was very heavy in her hands, but miraculously, a few days later, it became way too light, but only for her. After reporting it to her uncle, his reaction was to tell the entire village because he’s a proud “dad”.

The following day, while she was cutting wood for her uncle, there was a “kind person” who came by and wanted to see the old ax Nagisa had. Dissatisfied with Nagisa’s direct refusal, especially when she tried to get away from him, the man turned into an inhuman shape -- that of an Akuma. Nagisa could not believe what was happening, but by instinct the first thing she decided to do was to brandish her ax. Her ax, in response, reacted in an abnormal way. It grew, or to be more exact, its size exceeded that of Nagisa’s. Nagisa was amazed, but not distracted. She used the ax’s own capacity to cut wood to cut the Akuma. With difficulty, certainly, but the effort was made and she succeeded.

Surprise fast took Nagisa as she realized she had just committed murder. She quickly ran back home, ax in hand. She tried to tell the story of what had happened to her uncle and his wife, but instead they were amazed at what a big imagination a young 16 year-old teenager of small size could have. In reality, they prayed that it wasn’t true. They were quickly disillusioned when a few days later Exorcists turned up at their home for Nagisa.

Even if the Exorcists’ arrival worked in her favor in proving her story, it did not work in her favor when Nagisa was forced to leave her uncle and recruited to the Black Order to be an Exorcist herself. While it allowed Nagisa to make a “new start,” she missed her uncle and the neighborhood a lot also. It has been several months now since Nagisa has been at the Order, training to become stronger.
