StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Eight: Vandermorgan

Tiffany gets some grey in her fur, Taron heads to La Fiesta Tech and joins Finn in the fraternity, Jill studies her magic, and Marco woos Tara. Buck has also finally conceded that the upkeep on this house is ridiculous, so the family decides to move. We'll see their new place next round!

StrangeSpot, Round Thirteen: Vandermorgan

River didn’t get the memo about coordinated overalls for boys night. They still look fierce though.

Naenae expresses her desire to join the Strangetown PD - once the baby is born and she feels ready to rejoin the workforce, of course. Buck wants to be a full time dad so the arrangement will ultimately work out for them; his inner child just balks a little at the thought of law enforcement making her a different person. This intrusive thought brought to you by General Buzz Grunt...

Baby Taron is born and cool uncle Ripp is the first on the scene. All he has to do is be a well-adjusted influence and not totally mess with this kid’s head!...Yeah, the General did a number on these lads...

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Two: Vandermorgan

DIY is the literal death of Naenae when she receives a fatal electric shock from faulty wiring in the dishwasher. Tiffany, the only witness, alerts the household to her passing by howling. Buck is devastated - he’s lost both of his big brothers in tragic accidents, and now his wife too? Life is so unfair!

Lily still grows up well into the child stage, thank goodness.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty: Vandermorgan

Since Marco has started private school along with Taron, Naenae wants to mould her children a little bit and get them to make the most out of their lessons. She enlists Marco’s help to clean up around the house (the McMansion requires a lot of dusting and they can’t afford a maid to help with upkeep yet!). She then encourages Taron to be lazy and playful (”work smarter, not harder!”). If Marco didn’t feel like The Middle Child before, he does now...

Lily ages up to a toddler and Buck is pleased he was able to braid her hair so well. She’s adorable!

StrangeSpot, Round Nineteen: Vandermorgan

This family is very sweet. Buck is always doing housework or hanging out with the kids with a big grin on his face. General Buzz/intergenerational trauma who?

Naenae and Buck welcome baby Lily, and Naenae finally has a job lined up! She’s going to start as a cement mixer next round. Marco is in the child stage now and she wants to make sure he gets into the same private school as Taron.

StrangeSpot, Round Eighteen: Vandermorgan

Naenae’s pregnant again! I thought she and Buck might adopt their third child to give Naenae time to start her career, but they had other plans. They’re still asset rich and cash poor, though... someone will need to go out and get that bread if they’re going to keep up this lifestyle!

Still, they’re taking great care to make sure the boys aren’t forgotten in the excitement of a baby on the way: Marco learns his toddler skills and Naenae enrols Taron in private school.

StrangeSpot, Round Seventeen: Vandermorgan

Taron is a child now and Buck’s in full swing, sometimes literally, to make him feel loved and cared for. Now that Taron’s older and Marco is a toddler who needs a lot of attention, Ripp has realised that he’s not really prepared to live with the chaos that children can create. He moves out at the end of the round.

Meanwhile, Naenae is let go from her security guard job after her first shift. She decides to go into architecture instead... if she can find (and keep) a job!

StrangeSpot, Round Sixteen: Vandermorgan

The Vandermorgans welcome baby Marco and Buck spends the round taking care of everyone. Deep down he’s afraid of being anything like the General. Even wearing his dressing gown all day is a quiet rebellion. Being a stay at home parent while Naenae is the breadwinner - that’s the big rebellion that he hopes his father can see.

StrangeSpot, Round Fifteen: Vandermorgan

Ripp adopts a dog, Tiffany. He plays fetch with her on the road in his underwear and Jim Dandy enjoys the show.

Taron is now a toddler and Naenae is pregnant with her and Buck’s second child. She got a job as a security guard before finding out, so she’ll start once maternity leave is done and dusted.

StrangeSpot, Round Twelve: Vandermorgan

Out of a desire to keep things simple, Buck and Naenae elope. Truth be told, all of Ripp and Buck’s inheritance went into buying the house, so they can’t afford a big celebration. Ripp’s job at the record store is just enough to get by for the moment, and he’s trying his hand at DIY repair jobs too.

Running the garden club was getting a bit ho-hum for Naenae, so she’s looking for work in law enforcement. That might be put on hold by the news that she and Buck are expecting a baby!

Ahh, the hot tub. Ripp loves sharing it with Candy, and she loves his red rose tattoos.

StrangeSpot, Round Fourteen: Vandermorgan

Baby Taron has many needs and wants - as babies do - and Buck and Naenae feel privileged to be able to spend nearly every waking hour with their son. The mansion affords space for Ripp to steal romantic moments with his many lovers too.

Thing is, they’re asset rich and cash poor at the moment. Ripp and Buck simply couldn’t turn away from the soft green lawn and the swimming pool lapping at their feet. Plus, the Mann family had left nearly all their furnishings behind when they lost the home, which was a great deal for the brothers... but that kind of history is starting to make them feel uneasy. Here’s hoping they’ll bounce back. Naenae really wants to jump into a new career, so there’s a start.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty One: Vandermorgan

Taron ages up to a teen and looks so much like Buck did when he was a teenager! He values cleanliness too - like father, like son.

Naenae gets promoted to foreperson and is so exhausted when she gets home that she flops into bed in the early afternoon. She wants to keep climbing the ranks so her family can keep their lavish lifestyle... the Vandermorgan name has some history in Strangetown too. Can’t run it into the ground now!

StrangeSpot, Round Eleven: Vandermorgan

Welcome to the new home of the Vandermorgan boys! This round wasn’t too eventful because all Ripp and Buck wanted to do was play in the pool, lol. Buck did meet up with Naenae and go to town with her for lunch (and a cheeky woohoo in the photobooth... I hope someone’s cleaning that thing).

StrangeSpot, Round Ten: Nigmos

Ophelia decides to join the garden club. Her aunt’s garden is infamous, after all - might as well see if she can get a grant for maintenance!

Success on two counts: her membership is approved (with some notes to tidy the gravestones a little, fair) and Buck meets one of the assessors, Naenae Chun, who’s very receptive to his flirting. Ripp’s had a one night stand with her before, but eh - Buck’s taking the win.

Meanwhile, Ripp takes a massive L when Ophelia rejects his romantic advances. She reminds him that their relationship desires aren’t compatible: he rejected her marriage proposal and isn’t keen on settling down, while she wants a stable partner and parent for Pandora, or nothing at all.

Ripp and Buck decide to combine their inheritances and buy the former Mann mansion on Tesla Court. Tank walks by as they’re packing the taxi for the move but quickens his step so he doesn’t bump into them. Things are still... awkward.
