When I watch cooking reality shows I often long for them to give the contestants several days for just, like, *one* of the challenges so we can see what these same people would be like if they had time to make to-do lists and do their own grocery shop and put on their favorite kitchen playlists

I saw that a new season of Great British Baking Show will be starting on Netflix by the end of the month. I'm happy. For you fellow GBBO watchers, what's your favorite season?

The 2014 season, where Nancy wins, has a soft spot in my heart, because it was the first one I ever saw, and dragged me into the fandom. The 2015 season is my favorite of the original series on BBC, because Nadiya's journey and eventual win makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Of the Netflix seasons, I have to say that the 2022 season is my favorite. Noel and Matt have built up a rapport where they genuinely laugh at each other and bounce off each other well. And Syabira and Sandro are some of my favorite contestants of all time.

ugh does anyone have that clip of the great british bake off where nadiya is talking to another contestant and they’re talking about something and there’s a miscommunication and they just stand there and stare at each other for a whole ten seconds in sheer panic. it’s so funny i can’t find it
