Summary: you are the only marine besides Jake who has any care for pandora outside a meal ticket. And now you want to go with him.

You walk down the halls to the scientists wing one of the few Marines that ever ventured there or even was liked by the scientists. You didn't know why they liked having you around Maybe it was your interest, genuine interest in their work the forest of Pandora the plants the place as a whole. You couldn’t deny this place was amazing you came here with nothing else to lose back from Earth and felt a sense of longing to know what you had to gain out there but you weren’t here for that you were here as a hired gun. But also you could live vicariously through your best friend Jake Sully…. You both became fast friends over the fascination of Pandora alone also you were just as idiotic as him when it came to impulse over deep thought. 

 You walk into the labs getting greeted by many there "hey y/n you have to catch up on your Navi you missed yesterday" Norm said in passing making you nod "yeah I know there was a meeting with the Colonel I couldn't ditch I'll come back by later" you say walking backwards not paying attention.

Unaware you were being stalked like prey as you walked backwards you felt yourself get swept off your feet and falling back into Someone lap "damn y/n you weigh a ton" a familiar voice groans. You roll your eyes laughing dryly "oh very funny lieutenant Dan" she mocks calling him the legless soldier from Forrest Gump. He pushes your back laughing "says the one with 2 working legs yet still trips over nothing"  you laugh and push his head to the side punching his arm "shut up that was like 2 or 3 times" they laugh as he wheels them over to their little corner to talk.

You listened to him with fascination as he recounted the things he did and saw as an omatikaya to be and his training. You would kill just to see it and would die to experience yourself. You could see the shine in his eyes as he spoke of his experiences and his time with the infamous Neytiri. "You like her Jake I can tell" you say still in his lap leaning against the wall as  you look around him. You laugh seeing him blush but say nothing. "That's not the point here Y/N" he laughs.

You smile and laugh "I know but honestly Jake you should enjoy it more…. It's better than here" you says you had grown sick of the constant kill kill kill we are at war…. A war we fucking started. You look up seeing Jake take your hand "the colonel on your ass isn't he" you sigh and groan "take me with you Jake" you mutters more to yourself than to him. Jake pushes your head over to look at him and you both share nothing but a series of expressions, something learned i the military to learn and read body language but you both perfected it out here seeing body language was more than a subtle sub language, it was a secondary to the first. Your eyes said it all, you did not belong there but here. Sure you’d seen war done some unforgivable things but this was different this violated any type of Geneva convention if that even existed. But you had your own morals and you weren’t a monster and the things the colonel was asking you to prepare to do was…monstrous.

Jake smiles at you sadly as he could relate to your emotions. He looks over to Grace who is doing an audio log “ Hey Grace could you think we could convince the tribe to let a friend of mine visit the village”. He watches you snap your head to Grace you looked almost ready to beg for the opportunity. Grace looked back at him and then to you as she stopped mid sentence. “ i think she knows enough Na’vi to be able to go you’d have to speak to the clan about it” she says giving you a even smile. 

You couldn’t contain your excitement at the possibility of being able to visit, your mentality had been shifting as things became tense at least in the military department. There were talks of shock and awe campaigns, blasting the home tree, even going for the tree of souls. You look down not wanting to dampen the mood or tell what was classified information know Grace would come at them with the wrath of a thousand suns. You quickly return to the subject. “ so I heard through th pandora grapevine that you are going to tame a banshee i say i want pictures but i want a detailed explanation of the event and don’t worry if I happen to make friends with Neytiri which I will, I will be getting her side of the story so i know the whole truth.” You laugh as you hear Jake groan, knowing that you’d never let him live it down just as you did with the Thanator incident. “I swear you are worse than tsu’tey when it comes to poking fun at me” he grumbles.

You look at him and smile “ what kind of friend and surrogate sister would i be if i didnt give you a hard time.” You tease as you stick your tongue out at him knowing soon you couldn’t disguise yourself you’d have to make a choice us or them. "Plus without me you'd be all brooding and boring" she pokes his his cheek as he wheels you both around the lab effectively brightening your continuously darkening days. 

This drabble was really cute I may start writing more for human Jake he's a sweetheart little bean.

Well, “Hakari In Heat” was certainly something. Many (well okay, 3) screenshots with brief rambles to follow.

I know this boy works out, and I don’t know how strong the glue Hakari used here is, but still, that’s dang impressive.

You know, I’d seen this panel posted before without context, but now that I have context it still makes absolutely no sense. Though I will say that if the anime should get this far some day I hope they use real cat footage for this shot.

Mermay Day 24: Nautilus

Week 3 of our voyage into the deep sea has allowed me to observe some of the strange behaviors some Merms have taken. In a world devoid of most light, and even less food, Merms like Naddie, a Spiral Bobshell, are more successful floating and waiting, rather than chasing prey. It's almost eerie, watching them float as still as they do. I'd almost suspect their dead if not for the small flicks of their tentacles to disturb the water. It must be somewhat successful, if they've made their niche down here, in one of the most hostile environments we could inhabit.

Birds of Himachal – A Photo Story of the Winged Beauties

Bird watching has become a quintessential ritual of our trips over time. Whenever we have the opportunity to spot some feathered friends, we eagerly venture out with our camera and spend hours outdoors looking for them. Basically, in a team of two, I have been the spotter (my keen eyesight being our secret weapon) and Sush has been the one to capture these beauties through his camera lens. What began as a curious hobby has now spread its roots deeper and is gradually turning in to a heartfelt passion. Also, through moments of quiet observation, we’ve come to appreciate the remarkable intelligence and intricate behaviours exhibited by these winged creatures.

On our recent trip to Himachal Pradesh, as the Spring-Summer season embraced the region, we found ourselves amidst a flurry of avian activity. Early mornings and evenings, the air was filled with different bird calls and songs. Exploring the villages and adjacent woods close to both our accommodations, we were able to spot almost 50 different types of birds. Our patient stakeout in certain areas (of course from a safe distance so as to not disturb them) paid off well and we could capture some of these avian wonders in their most magnificent form.

Join us on this visual odyssey as we embark on a journey of wonder, where every fluttering wing and melodic trill serves as a reminder of the boundless beauty that surrounds us. 

Indian Grey Hornbill

After Coorg (Karnataka), it was our 2nd time seeing this bird. And this time in a pair. They were mostly perched on a tall tree behind our accommodation in Kandhbari. 

Great Barbet

Great Barbets were abundant in the area and we could hear their distinctive (and loud) call most of the time. Yet it took some effort to spot this bird as it blends really well with its surroundings.

Blue-throated Barbet

Love how beautifully this bird is given all the eye-catching colors.

Oriental White-eye

This bird was the most difficult to photograph, because it kept moving all the time, not even settling down for a few seconds in one place. So glad this shot came clearly.

Yellow-billed Blue-Magpie

Had to patrol the area it was seen the previous day for 2-3 hours to have a few good shots. This pair seemed to build a nest and kept flying around collecting straws and bamboo leaves. 

Verdite Flycatcher

This one literally won our hearts with both its beauty and intelligence. A pair of male and female were living a little away from our stay in Naddi. So Sush tried to wait close by to capture a few good shots. Now this little male put on quite a good show trying to keep his attention and the moment he got distracted, the female would fly into the nest. So we got some amazing shots of the male and a few for the female before bidding them goodbye. Such amazing creatures!

Black-headed Jay

Spotted this one flying around and sitting on the trees close by as soon as we entered Gallu village. But it was so evasive that it took us a while to capture it in the camera. Got delayed by half an hour for our trek waiting for it. But at the end, it was worth it. Read More….

1.What do you identify as and what are your pronouns?

tbh, I identify myself as a girl, and my pronouns are she/her.

2. How did you discover your sexuality, tell your story?

it’s a little confusing (even for me), because, I am asexual. I mean, I like girls and also boys for a romantic relationship, but that’s all. If I am honest, I have so many traumas in my life as to know that maybe I am not made up for a relationship or people just play with me and my feelings (and that’s the worst thing in the world). I’ve never had bf/gf before, even tho I’m almost 21, so, maybe that makes me think that I’m never going to find somebody and, plus, I’m not really interested so much (or at all) in sex… It’s kinda a tragic and sad story.

3.What’s your favourite thing about the lgbt+ community?

the fact that, if I meet someone from the lgbt+ community, they’re all kind and lovely with me. for example, I have a bisexual and a pansexual friends in college, and they hang out with me, they’re so comprensive and respect all about that; even my hetero friends respect our opinions and our orientations.

Has any one thought that since maddie from danny phantom and Vicky from fairly odd parents look similar do you think they could be aunt and neice.

Like since maddie and her sister have opposite personalities and Vickys mom did something horrible causing a strained relationship, and maddie she dosent what to stress her kids so she dosent mention it.

Then danny gets outed as a halfa and the news reaches vickies mom and her imidiate though is to gain social standing, like, 'oh your nephew got into harverd well thats great dear and oh did i tell yoi about me nephew danny he saved the world on the news, he's 14'

And so she tries to get into contact with maddie and says that the knowlege of her neice and nephew made her want to reconnect.

And maddie like the good mother she is accepts and tells her kids, which jazz and danny point out its weird how she chose it RIGHT after he saved the world, and maddie still knowing who her sister is but hopes shes changes tells them, people can change amd even if she is we dont need to go back there why not give her a chance.

And so the fentons go to Dimmsdale to meet them, it didnt go well but they still give them a chance.

And then Vickie talks about how shes a babysitter and how while their parents are busy she can take danny and jazz to meet the kid she babysits. The fentons not seeing anything wrong with this agrees.

Now on timmys side Vickie just asked his parents if they would mind if the brought her estranged cousins over while they were gone.

They agreed.

Now Timmys having a heart attack because 1 vicky was evil enough now he'd have 3.

And is absolutely terrified of when they'll arive bacause he thinks its his death, and tries to escape, but vicky catches him and tells him that because her estranged family has very good social standing and lots of money, she has to make a good impression and is going to use him to do it.

When the door bell rings and he knows its her cousins behind the door hes terrified again so when vicky opens the door to show an 17 year old red head and an 14 year old black haired kid he tries to run.

Then vickie introduses then and he finds out their names and jazz and danny.

Vicky ends off going somewhere with jazz just leaving timmy and danny.

In the next couple of hours timmy is getting more and more shocked that not only is vickys cousin ,danny, decent he's actualy the nicest person he's  ever met and then they just go off in the neighbourhood pulling pranks on people and timmys having the time of his life with danny.

And maybe he lets slip how babysitting usualy goes with vicky and danny rightfuly freaks out, amazing timmy about how kind danny is.

Its later that day when the fentons and vickys family plan to have lunch and danny invites timmy over saying they wont mind.

And when timmy gets their he's greeted by a doting and kind jazz who he is amazed by.

Meets a goofy jack asking him of he wants fudge and just being a good dad to timmy

And an protective and affectionate naddie who also dotes on him.

It was that day that timmy finaly realised what having a family was really nice. Not just a normal family, timmy is under no illusion that the fentons are normal but it continuesly amazed how none of them seem to care and genuinely love eachother.

I just think the idea that timmy sees and experiences not only a weird family but a very loving one too, and internationally freaking out because these wonderful people are related to VICKY.no wonder their estranged.

He wonders if the fentons were put on this earth to cancel out the evil of vicky with the goodness of danny.

The more time he spends with danny solidifies that in his mind.

Been wanting a chuuni in 100 Girlfriends, and that got me thinking about a dude coming up to Rentarou and accusing him of attracting all of his girlfriends with a Stand

Through a one-sided pretend battle, the dude concludes that Rentarou’s Stand has the ability to magnetize souls, Opposites Attract, and is using it to repel his Stand’s attacks (hence why they’re clearly not doing anything)
