GUYS, NACHOSAMA CAME BACK!!! 🎉🎉🎉

TL;DR: Nacho took a break for a week after the backlash happened. He stated that the Itch.io version is complete and it was never a demo or early access to Steam version. He also stated that he's very very disappointed in the attitude of those who already harassed him and demanding for more free stuff. He eventually decided to port the Steam version to Itch.io as well.

TL;DR: Nacho ported the Remake (Steam) version for Itch.io players and it's now downloadable for Mac user as well, but some features were removed since the remake was built with Steam integration. He also stated that Steam players will have early access to demo/betas version from his future projects. (Possible new TNMN related game? 👀)

Man, i'm really grateful that he came back and doesn't give up so easily. He even ported the Steam version to Itch.io so the OG supporters there won't feel left behind. The fact that he once said that he was discouraged to continue TNMN and his other project when the backlash happened but now he's gonna give demo/betas version from his future projects for Steam players when the time comes really shows that those who still support him really motivate him to keep going, i cried because i'm one of those people who really tried to defend him. This really shows that the real fans who keep supporting him truly made a big impact and saved the future of TNMN... 😭🫶

Do you think Keppler could be some Nazi scientist or something?

maybe or maybe not

for one, it could be possible since there was operation paperclip that happened back in 1945 (which also happened to be the year the trojan horse project was started) assuming that nachosama is loosely basing off the timeline of the cold war.

the operation itself was controversial due to the scientists former affiliation and how they're suspected to be a-ok with doing stuff that break the geneva conventions (which fits the whole trojan horse project's crime against nature aka the creation of doppelgangers).

but then again, it's possible that keppler isn't one himself and just happened to be a scientist that just happened to be of german descent or have a german surname and is associated with creating things that would be detrimental to humanity (i mean america literally had oppenheimer).

also based on the newspaper clipping, it said that keppler was a preferred party leader and i'm not sure if the US would have allowed former nazis to even run for any type of public position like that

maybe the other researchers who are working on the THP could be former third reich scientists (idk)

for my au, keppler is the latter. she is from america and has been lurking around with ideas of the trojan horse project for a while until it became real in 1945, with the help of the military and her "brilliant students".

Just some strange guy in his apartment that builds cool and silly little things—before meeting the Nightmare Clown that is…

Rather than spending his days passing out papers about evil nightmare clowns and the secrets of the D.D.D. As his basegame counterpart, this man is an engineer/mechanic who holds no affiliation with the D.D.D. Whatsoever, and just so happened to encounter the Nightmare Clown/“Unlikely” one night after a long day of work (the rest being history)

Became close with the Nightmare Clown, through game-playing, and chatting about the mortal realm, something that the paracosm-borne clown seemed to be heavily interested in…

Likes robots. A lot.

Early 50s, Farmer Programmer/Engineer

A grumpy next door neighbor, gone wacky time-traveling sci-fi loving 22nd century cyborg, as a result of a sudden Alien abduction just a few months before.

Ever since the abduction, Chester and Anon became close pals, teacher and apprentice, helping him with his inventions, lending tips, and even assisting him in building a robot…a suspiciously clown-shaped robot

Is also affiliated with Unlikely, having met him and a few times, and even helping Anon out with building a surprise for the clown…

Also likes robots. A lot (as well as having more knowledge on the subject)

The same, bad good ol’ Unlikely, now piloting a direct metal replica of himself! (Now with a slightly higher amount of loose screws!)

The once widely feared cognitohazard/nightmare, now possesses this hunk of steel, he’s a little clumsy, but he’s getting the hang of it (his “soul” can retract itself from the machine, and can be transferred to computers, and other devices such as tvs and gaming consoles.)

Significantly more powerful, his already brutish nature and horrific strength boosted with the help of technology, and the brains of two smartass weirdos and their tools

Can summon holograms of cards, dice, and can even turn your deepest fears into burned in mirages…

Edgy robot stuff aside, he’s prone to glitching and burning out easily, usually from strong emotions of anger, or embarrassment. He also gets feisty during maintenance time. (His wires are…sensitive.)

And for those who are wondering…yes, there are still some parts of him that are considered ‘squishy’, which are his torso, and most of his face, due to a protective silicone layer!

Important notes: the storyline of this AU is in the early 2000s, rather than the 1950s. Characters and ages are the same, the time simply shifted for the Au’s sake.

Normal Mode:

In this mode,Mayari is just a doorman and resident of the building as well while working for the D.D.D. she is a foreigner with an ability to detect lies and thanks to this she was able to protect the residents of the building in some way.

Nightmare Mode:

"The White Lady"

In Nightmare Mode, Mayari is based on the Philippines folklore,the "White Lady" except she had a stitching upon her forehead and hollowed,emotionless eyes. She is somewhat feared by the residents because it felt to them that there's more than just one person residing in her soul,even the nightmare clown is somewhat wary of her.

Her initial design is inspired by the White Lady and Kenjaku as Kaori Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Hello my Tumblr mutuals!

I come back and regret having to announce a bad news for TNMN fans. But, look at what they have done to Nachosama, the developer of That's not my Neighbor... 💔

For context, in itch.io website of TNMN, a LOT of people literally asked for a refund and even backlash him because he couldn't give free Steam keys and refund he promised a while ago, he already admitted that it's his fault for not doing much research and not knowing about the limitation rules, here are posts about what he already stated in the Development log.

I'm so disappointed with those people bro, they freaking attacked him to the point it affects his well being and discouraging him from continuing TNMN and his other projects, they literally didn't give him a break while the Steam remake just released a week ago 💔💔💔

Now, let's just hope that Nachosama gonna be fine and take a long break from all of these hates and situations that have been going in the itch website. Let's hope that once Nacho recover, he will consider again about his future games and the development of TNMN. For now, let's try to keep supporting him beside the situations he's been through right now. ♠️

Since I've been in the tnmn fandom for a year already, I really want to talk about some problems I have with the fandom.

Now, I love this fandom and the people in it! I've made really good friends and met the sweetest people ever! Buut I've noticed some toxic traits about some parts about the fandom. I've even made other blogs talking about some. Just know this post is NOT targeting any accounts in particular. But if you see any accounts that have done anything I've talked about, PLEASE DON'T HARASS OR SEND HATE TOWARDS THEM!! Just kindly inform them that what their doing is wrong and maybe they'll understand.

With that out of the way, here's my yap session. It's pretty long so... yeah

1. People forcing headcanons and ships upon other people in the fandom.

I kinda noticed how some people are salty about headcanons and ships. So they'll spread a lot of misinformation (fake screenshots, hacking the wiki page, etc) about characters. I've mainly seen this here on Tumbler and on the TNMN wiki. And... ugh... people in nachosamas Instagram comments begging him to make a ship canon. Even though he's said before that no ships are canon.

Moral of the story, please don't force people to like your headcanons or ships. Remember, people are going to have different opinions on different headcanons and ships. I was salty about my HCs too, but I learned quickly to learn that people will have different opinions on things.

Also please don't beg nachosama to make a ship/HC canon. He's making a whole reboot to the game. I'm positive the last thing he cares about is ships. (I'm not saying you can't ship anything. We can ship whatever we want as long as it's not problematic!)

2. Not censoring or poorly censoring nsfw art

I made an entire rant post a while back about this topic, and thankfully, for the most part, some people have heard me loud and clear. Of course, there's still uncensored stuff on here and on every platform ever, but that's just the harsh reality of fandoms. Nsfw art has and will always exist. I just think it's important for the artists to be mindful that minors are also using the app, and they shouldn't need to be exposed to that stuff. Maybe they can make a private nsfw account if that's better.

3. Anonymous asks hate

This is a tale as old as time. Some basement dwelling, unhappy, tumbler user really hates an artist. And they have nothing else better to do than harass the artist and send death threats and other threats. And the artist can't see who sent it because they're anonymous. This is a big problem in the tnmn fandom for some reason. And it's can really damage someone's mental health. I really want to find out who's doing this and expose them once and for all. But for now all I can do is dream and be suspicious of some people.

4. A lot of hate towards the self shippers/oc x canon shippers :(

This is mainly on Twitter (no surprises there), but I feel like it needs to be talked about as a tnmn self shipper and oc x canon shipper. I understand if someone ships themselves with a married character (example, afton) and it makes you upset. But you should never harass them over that. If it makes you uncomfortable, just scroll away from it.

Also while we're on the topic of selfshippers, I feel as someone who's nonsharing with some of my f/os (fictional others), if you're nonsharing and you see another selfshipper ship themselves with one of your f/os, please please do NOT harass them. Just block them and continue on with your life. I've already explained my "pinterest incident" and I'd hate for anyone to end up like that person. If you're a nonsharing selfshipper, that's completely valid! But please be mindful about other people and their feelings.

That's pretty much all I wanted to talk about!
