It's a few days later, Nacha walks around the town, the pigeon riding on its shoulder. They have yet to find their small clown friend. Their hope has started to drain as the days and nights have passed

They make their way down the sidewalk, with the flickering streetlights being the only thing that illuminates the darkness of the night. Off in the distance, quiet rustling is heard from of the alleyways in-between the buildings

*The pigeon has been telling her that Smiles is probably alive – something terrifying needs him. He wouldn't just let him die.*

*But, eventually, even its hope starts dying down. It's eventually starts to think they won't see the clown ever again – maybe the other clown decided he didn't need a servant packbonded to a human. Maybe, he moved towns. Maybe something else it didn't think of.*

*The reason it's sitting on Nacha's shoulder right now is because it doesn't trust the humans or doppels of the night. It's woefully small, it might not be able to kill a doppel, but it definitely can buy Nacha enough time to flee.*

...I think there's something in the garbage. Careful. Might just be a possum, though.

*It hesitates*
