So typically I use my rosin chips to make capsules. I use cocanut oil and fill the capsules. I just fill like I'm not doing something right. They arent strong at all. Great episode 8.5/10 -  I feel like this gonna be one of those love it or hate it episodes.

Seeing Toola Rula again made me smile since she was one of my favorite G3 ponies.

Oh and that lesson: Don’t let being overly critical ruin something great. Nothing is flawless and you can point out those flaws but just don’t to far and start being rude and mean about them or start overshadowing the good with the bad.     

The mane 6 were on point. Also nice work Larson subverting my expections with Starlight. I was so sure she was gonna either cast a spell or completely chew out all those ponies. It was a nice surprise for her to bring back Toola Rula and Cocanut Cream Pie, to show that their lessons really did help somepony after all. 

Kinda funny that the episode was written by M.A. Larson one of the MLPs longest staying writers and one of a small few to be around since the beginning to hear every single one of those complaints. Also even more funny that this episode aired while BronyCon is going on. It being even more meta with M.A. Larson being a real life author outside MLP. This episode was perfect for M.A. Larson, his brand of story telling, humor, and experience with this subject matter fit it perfectly. 

That song was so great <3  Those split screen moments and each character talking about the negative and positive side to their flaws.

I really wanted to hit those Rarity haters and Applejack fans(especially the AJ ones, don’t joke about AJ being popular it brings back the background pony joke wounds).

Also those little Rarijack moments *EEEEEE*

Sonia Rentsch Artists Research

Sonia Rentsch is an art director, 3d illustrator and still life photographer with studios in London and New York. Rentsch graduated from the Royal Melbrone Institute of Technology in 2002 where she studied Industrial Design, which Rentsch claims helps “my creative skills and understanding of materials. I left a qualified welder, founder and model-maker. It challenged my concept of what I could do with my future.” - Cool Hunting interview  

Rentsch’s still life is known for being creative and colourful, her work follows themes of pastel pop-art. Some of her work will be brand product advertisements, but I think where Jentsch strives most is using normal objects to make them look like different objects. For example, this extension cord tangled to look like a brain photographed against a pastel yellow background.

On her website instead of a mouse the pointer is a pair of eyes. As I am interested in fine art photogrpahy I really like the project Rentsch called Opening Ceremony, which is abstract patterns made out of layered slippers.

Rentsch’s product still life photogrpahy is also creative. It’s never the “normal’ approach to photogrpahing for selling items, she uses elaborate backgrounds and props to make the images stand out.

The image above shows a cocanut cut in half shot against a bright yellow background, it is part of Rentsch’s project ‘Google Play Images’. The project is advertisements for the music streaming site, and I think the use of the vibrant colourful background is very eye-catching and a good technique to use in advertisement.The coconut half is full of water with a little diving board attached to the backside of it and swimming steps hanging over the left side of the shell. I like the shadow created by the coconut half, as I think that makes the image look more realistic against the vibrant yellow background which can make it look a bit cartoonish. There is also a small beachball on the right side of the floor near the coconut. I like the small props which really add to the story which is using a coconut shell as a swimming pool. I think its a really creative idea which must have taken a lot of time to get the small props to be exactly where Rentsch wanted them. The yellow background really makes it stand out and I think does add to the summer mood the image is trying to replicate. Although there is nothing to show what the image is actually representing or selling, as there isn’t anything in the image to show music. However, I have looked at other images in the project which do show clever ways of linking still life and music.

Anpoutherone of Rentsch’s projects I really like is ‘Bud Lite/NBA - The History of The Headband’ for a recent NBA All Star Weekend. The project shows funny creative shrines featuring many different objects. The image above is one of my favourites from the project it features a severed dummy head with a wig and headband setup on a big white rectangle infant of an electric pink background. Around the white rectangle are a range of many similar pink items such as, two gym bags and basketballs and a white mouthguard on the floor which to relate to the NBA, flowers which blend in perfectly with the background and two pink Playstation 4 controllers. I think the candles really make it look like a shrine which adds to the humour of the image. I also like the small amounts of colours other than pink within the image. For example, the blue globe, colourful rug and emoji accessories. These colours don't take away from the image at all I think because the are the same tone and strong vibrance as the pink. There are so many items in the image its hard to notice them all unless looking at the image for a while. Rentsch must have to pay a lot of attention to the fine details as everything has to be inplace and in an exact position.  I am really attracted to the colours in Rentsch’s work, I think it is just a personal preference as I bet some people don't like the bold colours but it is something I am drawn to.

“What the hell was that” I don’t even know where the start on this one! It’s the craziest thing I ever seen! First of all for those who are reading this and think what the hell is she talking about! Well I’m talking about Mardi Gras in New Orleans and if you don’t know what Mardi Gras is, “on which planet do you live on”?!Mardi Gras is actually carnival and if you don’t know what carnival is there’s something called the world wide Wep! Go look it up! 😁

I never experienced something like this. In Belgium we also have a big celebration in a city named Aalst and it doesn’t come even close to what I just saw in New Orleans. Did you even knew that it goes for 10 days! Parades everyday and crazy party’s on bourbon street that’s really the place to be! One of the tradition is that they throw this kinda necklaces but we have to do something for it. If you now what it is ssssssttttt! don’t tell anyone.😉. (not the best picture it’s taken wit my phone) About the parades on Mardi grass. If you saw the first 5 wagons of each parade you kinda saw the parade but for the Zulu parade you just stay because you really want that coconut. Yes you are reading it correctly they give away coconuts! They are empty decorated coconuts and everyone wants them because they are tradition. they are not easy to get and if you really want one bring a cute kid because it seemed they always got the coconuts.

I am in the possession of one of those precious coconuts (“COCANUT”) 😉thanks to Joel A Simpson! Thank you so much! He was my roommate in the hostel and he came in at 5 am ( so in the middle of the night). How he got it? I have no clue but I don’t think I want to know! Right Joel! For the real party you have to go to bourbon street! Good memories most of them I’m keeping for my self ( What happens at Mardi Gras stays at Mardi Gras). The atmosphere at bourbon is crazy but fun I really had a good time. Also don’t forget to go at the bars at French street there you can find the real music of New Orleans. I’m still processing it all! It’s definitely something to have on your bucket list. It was definitely worth it. Of course like always I have some atmosphere photographs for you guys.
