On Warframes

Warframes often take take the form of archetypal characters-- Excalibur and Chroma are knights, Trinity and Revenant are both vampires, Harrow is a priest, Titania and Oberon are fae, and Ash is a Ninja, Grendel is an Ogre, etc.

Warframes that are not archetypal are more often than not named after mythical figures (i.e. Loki) or have powersets that would capture the interests of children (i.e. Volt and Mag-- I went through a magnet phase as a kid, don't know about you)

The Tenno are literal children piloting magical space armor with superpowers.

In conclusion: the only difference between a Warframe and a Halloween Costume is that Halloween Costumes are typically not born out of war crimes and extradimensional space-magic.

i dont wanna make a full post about the new skin(s) yet bc we're missing the splashes/bios/etc but, quickie opening thoughts:

the skins in question: (splendor opus talon, splendor opus sett mythic chroma) i dont think this counts as leaks bc spideraxe showed them.

first i hear up the grapevine that talon is a LEGENDARY????? which is CRAZY if true considering how new he is and considering that he's been in out on pc for years with no legendary. im not personally mad about it bc i am starving, but i could understand lol pc players being mad about it lol. idk exactly how the vos work for wild rift legendaries i have to look into it.

SECOND thing to note is that sett's skin is a mythic chroma so i assume his base is floating around somewhere, though we have yet to see it. (idk how wr mythic chromas work but there must be a standalone.. right?) i'm not a hugeeee fan of so much white so i wanna see his base. :) will hold full judgement until everything is out!

not gonna go so in detail with talons but i kinda REALLY DIG IT?? idk i really like the colors and that he's got a bit longer hair and like... horns?? thats fun! i dont like having no eyeballs (for sett too) but i can fix that in art, that's just a personal pref. not a fan of the shouldery flame things that stick out but its cute!! i saw his skin intro video floating around too and i like the back half of that. (will explain when i make the full post).

anyway. A WIN FOR TALSETT NATION FOR ONCE?? (nation is kinda a strong word... talsett... neighborhood...) IM SO STOKED HELPP?? i need to see bios and splash ASAP. PLS. the talon splash might make or break for me we'll have to see. i need to COOK.

and well It's basically the usual with a small dose of fan pain on my part.

We all know that Riot obviously prioritizes profit above all else. above quality, lore cohesion, everything. It's no wonder now there are mythic chromas that aren't worth the price (that phrase is actually a euphemism).

It was always messy, but we still had the idea that there was a lot of affection involved, im not saying that there isn't anymore nowadays, but it's clear that everything has gone downhill in an absurd way in the last 3 years, this year being the worst.

I'm someone who stopped playing league a while ago, more for the sake of my mental health than anything, but I love Runeterra lore so much that I don't have the intention to stop following it. And well, it is known that there has been a great disregard for the game's lore, with some things becoming canon that converge with others that end up no longer being canon. Everything is so messy that it ends up discouraging me and afraid of what might come next.

Ofc, it's not just that, there are several other things that have been bothering me a lot (and not just me). But not everything is bad, because last year we had tfgraves finally getting the canon seal, and I know it seems like an exaggeration to say, but it was one of the happiest moments of my life. cuz DUH, they kinda mean everything to me?? xD

But anyway, here's my criticism of that damn company: Get organized, shit. Have cohesion in the things you do and treat your employees well and respect them!
