The most glaring part of traveling through the hills is the stories and the views that unfold on your window screen. And if it happens to be Ladakh a withering view of barren mountains trailing the aquamarine river and blue sky amidst lines of green bundles haunt you for life. This picture by my father often reminds me of that #ladakh #ladakhtourism #leh #lehladakh #lehladakhtourism #ladakhtravel #lenladakhtravel #barrenmountains #mystichills #mountain #mountaindiaries #mysticasia #mystique_asia #travelgram #travelgasm #travelblog #travelbloggerslife #kolkatatravelblogger #travelingindia #indiantravelblogger #indiantravellers #travelerstale #explorer #incredibleindia #natgeotravel #natgeoyourshot https://www.instagram.com/p/B2L_Oe5gSbM/?igshid=i93ylcz4n71x

Types of Wands
These are the 4 most popular Wands manufacturered in Asia.
The Qilin-Yunnan Cypress Wand (Qilin Cypress) - Manufactured mostly in Asia, this wand is made by the native Chinese Yunnan Cypress wood and a Qilin Horn. Because of Qilin horn, the Qilin Cypress has an affinity for Windweavers and Burners. The wand is a good choice for intermediate fledglings but not easy for beginners to use. The Qilin Cypress has been manufactured to Japan, the Koreas, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The Qilin Cypress was first modeled after a model of a Taiwanese Vermilion Hemlock Wand.
The Vermillion Bird-Chinese Hemlock Wand (Vermillion Hemlock) - originally made in China in 600 BCE (and then it was scrapped, leaving Scotland to take the glory) the Vermilion Hemlock is bursting with energy. Like their western cousin the Pheniox, their tail feathers are used as components in the wand. Early depictions showed it as a one pointer wand, while today the Taiwanese use two pointers.
* two pointer wands mean stick at both ends*
White Tiger-Emperor Maple (Tiger Maple) - Carved from the teeth of white tiger, the wand is made in Japan. The wand is of the beginners class, referring to it’s easy use and reccomdation amongst fledglings. It’s durable and can hold tons of power. White Tigers are known for their aggressive behavior therefore the wand proves dangerous for those whom it dislikes. Unlike the Vermillion Hemlock, this wand doesn’t switch easily from owner to owner, it hates change and will become attached to its owner until they no longer have use for it.
Babi Ngepet-Narra - (Babi Narra) - made from tusks of the Indonesian mystical boars Babi Ngepet, the wands tend to be picky with owners. They tend to lend themselves to more overly ambitious people, and therefore are the least common wand in East Asia. The wand is sturdy and is uneasy to break, however, it may wear away. It’s the most irreplaceable wand, and therefore, must be sharpened to use.
