Here's the first chapter of my MySims SkyHeroes fanfic: Wildcard. It tells the story of Athena and how she finds herself torn between two sides.

Summary: Found barely conscious on an island after a crash landing, Athena - a lone pilot with amnesia - is taken in and nursed back to health by a group of rebel pirates known as SkyForce, whose goal is to free the skies from the control of the evil Morcubus and his 'Chaos Pirates'.

Hamuera showing off his costume to his mama. Plus, Chrissy decided to wear a costume based on Millicent Moon, famous poet and singer, and mother of famed song writer Octavia Moon. She figured that she could re-wear the cute blouse and skirt after spooky day and it looked nice. Meanwhile, Luna dressed up as one of the counselors from Camp Gnome Lake and Megan dressed as Llamawoman. 

Plus, here are random photos of the painting Megan did which isn’t too shabby, and Chrissy hugging Hamuera, and then giving a trick or treater some candy.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #37

Dear Diary, Today officially marks day 1 of honestly, I don't know what, but it feels like something has changed. I think I just need to put my nose to the grindstone and work super hard to ensure my dreams come true, so I guess day 1 of doing that. -Violet

Before school started, Violet and Jenna sat in the auditorium listening to Lacy practice her lines for the upcoming auditions for that year's school play. She was aiming for the lead again and wanted to be off book in time for auditions. "She's doing really well," Violet noted.

"How are you doing about the breakup today?" Jenna asked "Honestly really well" Violet admitted "Totally over that backstabbing bitch" "That's good. You were pretty emo about the whole thing for a while yesterday. It was getting kind of annoying" "What can I say?" Violet shrugged

On her way to class Violet stopped to freshen up at her locker when a boy from her class approached. "Hey!" he exclaimed. "So, I heard about your breakup with Janie, and I've always thought you were pretty hot, so maybe we could simflix and chill sometime?"

Violet visibly cringed, "um no thanks," she said bluntly. Not only was she not interested in another relationship, but this guy was giving her serious Noah Brooks flashbacks and after the disaster that was, Violet thought it a good idea to avoid boys all together.

"Did you seriously reject Finn Alden?" Jenna asked in disbelief "He's a football player!" "Gross" Violet cringed. "Mind if I ask him out then?" Jenna asked. "Honestly go for it," Violet shrugged As Jenna headed towards Finn, Violet and Lacy began cheering, "Go Jenna! Go get him!"

After their first-class Sage approached Violet, "can we talk?" she asked hesitantly. "You know my hunger is really low, I should really go eat something," Violet said quickly and tried to step away. "It'll only take a moment I swear." "Ugh, what? Here to gloat?"

"What? No- I'm not," Sage paused for a moment before continuing. "I didn't know the band already had a lead singer; Janie sprung that on me when she kicked you out. If I'd know I wouldn't have agreed to join. She said you just wrote the songs but had no interest in performing."

"You seriously want me to believe that mumbo jumbo?" Violet rolled her eyes. "I do actually," Sage said in defense. "Because I'm not a liar. I actually wanted to warn you about some stuff Janie's trying to do to sabotage you, because I don't think it's right."

"There's this event coming up, battle of the bands. Janie doesn't want you to know because if you were to enter, she think's we'll lose. I don't think restricting the competition is fair," Sage explained. "I would also look into copywriting your music; Janie wants to steal it."

"Oh," Violet looked down. "Well, thank you, for the heads up." "You're welcome," Sage said. "Seriously though, get a copywrite lawyer. Janie's trying to make it so if she puts out an album with your songs you can't do anything because legally, they'd be hers" "I will, thank you."

That evening Leo had initially invited Owen over so they could continue to work on their school project, but it inevitably led to Leo suggesting they play MySims Racing instead. Even though he lost Owen still resigned himself to the fact that at least he didn't come in last place

Violet soon stuck her head into the entertainment room wondering what all the noise was. "Ugh!" she exclaimed. "What is he doing here?" "Violet just leave," Leo said irritated. "C'mon," Owen joked. "I thought we were besties now, that's what you said on Spooky Day." "Ugh!"

"One day when I'm rich and famous and living in a mansion in Del Sol Valley I can literally ban you from entering my home," Violet told Owen. "Violet, leave," Leo said again. Owen smirked, "We'll see about that. I kind of like annoying you." "Jerk," Violet scoffed. "Leave!"

"Spooky Day, huh?" Leo asked. "Jenna threw a party," Owen told him. "She and Violet tried to corner Lacy and I into a room and make us talk our feeling out, it didn't work." "So, you and Lacy are officially done?" "I don't really think we ever started; she just rejected me."

"Can I ask you something?" Leo said. "Sure." "About rejection," Leo paused for a moment. "You and Lacy were friends before, why'd you decide to ask her out if there was a possibility of you not being friends anymore. Weren't you scared to lose her?" "Yes and no," Owen replied.

"I guess if I hadn't asked her out then I would have just been stuck pining for her whilst friends, never knowing how she felt," Owen explained. "I think that can make you miserable, never knowing. It might not have worked out how I wanted, but I don't regret asking her."

"But now you aren't friends wouldn't you rather still have her in your life rather than ruin the friendship" Leo asked "I think the never knowing would have ruined it eventually so in ways I think it was inevitable that we didn't work out" Owen said "I guess I know what you mean"

So, it's been a couple months since I've moved out to Great Aunt Cordelia's cottage. (Isn't it beautiful!?)

Her husband Liam had fixed up the basement before he died, so I decided to see if I could rent out the room. I spent the first few days cleaning up and making sure the house was in decent enough shape to start looking for a roommate.

I got so lucky! Finn was one of the first people I interviewed and we get along so well. He's the most friendly person I've ever met. (Spoiler: he's practically besties with our elderly neighbor Ian.) Someone in town told him that the views were incredible up here, so he stopped by even though he couldn't afford the rent. We chatted for a while and came to a deal--he gets a lower rent and helps out around the house and with the animals. He's been working the morning shift, milking the cow(!), collecting eggs from the chickens, and cleaning the farmyard. (I have chickens. And a cow. AND A FARMYARD. So weird.)

So, since he's pictured, I should also introduce you to Ace the Raccoon. Somehow, getting a kitten turned into getting a raccoon. Well, Finn got a raccoon. I now have the adorable Jetta, an actual cat who is keeping me company amidst all the crazy. (You can follow them both on simstagram.)

I have managed to work on my writing though, mostly thanks to Finn doing a lot of the heavy lifting around here in between the odd jobs he's doing around town.

As crazy as it all has been, moving from San Myshuno to a farm, making a new normal while learning all sorts of new things...It's been amazing. As full as the days are, there are moments of stillness that have made it all worthwhile, whether it's an afternoon spent attempting to charm the bunnies or looking for shapes in the clouds. Finn's been really great about that: reminding me to stop running around or step away from the screen and look at the stars.

Meet Sharyn Duffy, my girly for @doodlesimss‘s Finn

All the infos under the cut! 👇

Sharyn comes from one of the less glamorous parts of Del Sol Valley. As the youngest of three children, she had a modest but sheltered childhood. At least until the day she and her siblings lost both parents at once. Sharyn's eldest sister was already of full age at that time and managed to get custody of her siblings. From then on, the three of them fought their way through life together.

- Sharyn works in a clothing store and takes every occasional job she can get. - Her biggest dream is to unlock the secrets of Selvadorada and become a successful archaeologist - this was also her father's unfulfilled dream. - Sharyn still lives with her oldest sister, her brother has moved to San Myshuno, but the siblings are in daily contact. - She hopes for a big, happy family - because family is the most important thing for Sharyn. - She likes to eat Mac and Cheese because it reminds her of her childhood. - Sharyn is a very cheerful person who always has a smile on her lips. - She is open to all sorts of nonsense and it rarely gets boring with her.

it took me waaaay too long to make a boy for @smallcowplant’s upcoming bachelorette challenge (why am i so much worse at making male sims???) but i finally put together this sweet bean, so here he is!

finn braswell ; freelance botanist ; active, art lover, vegetarian

hey! i’m finn, but i guess you already know that! i’m 24, i recently moved to willow creek, and i’m kind of...in between jobs? i was a server, but when i moved out of san myshuno, it was to pursue a career as a botanist, which is my passion. right now i’m doing odd jobs as a gardener for my neighbors and selling my plants at the local market - hopefully someday i’ll have a real greenhouse & shop to call my own. i’m lucky enough to own my house, even if it is tiny - don’t let anyone tell you that servers in san myshuno don’t make enough tips! i don’t have any pets right now, but i’ve always wanted a dog, or maybe one of those lazy cats that just sleeps in a sunbeam all day? it would be nice to have a gardening companion.

i’m...not sure if i’ve ever been in love. i thought i was once, with my highschool girlfriend. she moved away our junior year to oasis springs, and since then i haven’t had any serious relationships, just the occasional date or week-long flirtation.

my ultimate fantasy date would definitely be something outdoors - maybe a day trip to granite falls? we’d take a long hike, and i’d bring my camera for photos of the local plants & animals (and probably some goofy selfies). after dinner we’d have s’mores for dessert, and then a soak in the hot tub with some beers and a great sunset view. i love dates where you get uninterrupted time to get to know the other person without distractions.

oh man, my family - where to start? so, like i said, i came from san myshuno, and that’s where i lived all of my life before i moved, in a noisy, crowded, generally happy apartment with my parents and my sisters. yes, sisters, plural - i have three, one older and two younger. i think that’s why i love living by myself so much, why i love the peace & quiet of working in my garden. in the city i just had a couple of little pots on our roof and a window box for herbs, and never any personal space. i didn’t dislike it, really, but it’s just nice to be by myself for once. i’m not gonna lie, i do miss my family, so i’m sure i’ll be back to visit them pretty often.

there are so many places i’d love to visit! as much as i might seem like i prefer nature, i love cities & sightseeing, too. i know that paris has amazing museums that i’d love to see, and i also want to check out the vegetarian options in places like portland and seattle! i’ve also never seen snow, so going somewhere snowy and getting to try things like skiing and snowboarding would be amazing.

my hometown date would be...colorful, for sure. my younger sisters still live with my parents, and my older sister still lives in the city, too, with her husband and their twin boys - there’s no lack of family members to meet, and they’d welcome you with open arms (i think they miss me bringing girls home - my mom is the one who sent me the information about applying for the show). we could check out whatever festival is in town - the spice festival and the humor & hijinks festivals are the best - and then go to dinner at my old restaurant & meet my server friends!

talent-wise, besides my green thumb, i don’t know if there’s anything outstanding. my parents always said i’m a people person, so there’s that? i’m not too bad at photography, but i wouldn’t say i’m especially talented, or at least not enough to make a big deal out of it.

Summary: In an attempt to rescue the egotistical Chaz McFreely, Athena finds herself once again going head-to-head with Svetlana, this time with Rose at her side. But after being shot down by Chaz and abandoned by Svetlana, Rose finds herself captured by SkyForce. But maybe it's not as bad as she thought it'd be. Meanwhile, Raphael makes a shocking discovery after confronting Svetlana about abandoning Rose.
