Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #75
Dear Diary, Jenna's all settled in San my, and I've spent the last few months perfecting a whole set of new songs. Tonight is the first time I'm going back to open mic night after my breakup, and I'm excited. It'll be the first time I get feedback on my new music from someone other than Lacy -Violet
"So, I was thinking, how do we want to go about getting a new roommate now that Jenna's gone?" asked Violet. "Well, I think I'd rather have a permanent roommate rather than renting it out to new sims weekly or even monthly if you know what I mean." "Yeah, I think I'd like the same," Violet agreed.
"Great!" exclaimed Lacy. "I can put some kind of roommate application up online. I don't want just any random sim moving in with us." "Finding someone we could be friends with would be nice." "I'll get that application up before my date later, don't worry. Just focus on your songs for tonight."
Violet got the okay from Dean, the owner of the bar, to come in early, before it opened, to practice her set a few times. She found herself surprised by how different the bar looked during the day. "Dean, I'm here!" she called out. "Where's Kalia and Kian?" "Oh, they're upstairs, third floor."
"Why?" Violet asked skeptically. "Open mic night is always on the first floor" "Not tonight," chimed Dean. "Well, it is, but you're performing on the third floor. I made fliers advertising your return tonight and everything." "You did what? I'm not a big enough act to perform on the third floor yet"
"Sure, you are," Dean brushed her off. "I've had people in here asking when you were coming back for weeks. Half the crowd we'd get on open mic night were just here for you, so I upgraded you to a larger space. It's good for my business too you know, symbiosis or whatever." "Oh. My. Watcher."
After getting their roommate application up, Lacy headed out to meet her date. She'd made the decision, after seeing Owen briefly at Leo and Nat's grad party, that she was ready for something a little more serious. "Lacy, right?" her date asked. "Yup and…" Lacy trailed off forgetting his name.
He laughed awkwardly, "it's Brad." "Right, Brad," Lacy cringed. The name Brad was too close to Chad, and she never wished to think about her ex ever again. "So, uh, how have you been?" Brad asked. "Fine, you?" "Pretty good," said Brad before launching into a conversation Lacy had no interest in.
As Lacy listened to Brad talk, she couldn't help but grow bored. There was no substance to the words he was speaking, and she couldn't bring herself to care. Lacy's mind went to Owen who always spoke with such passion about what he'd been writing recently or about his family, she had loved that.
"This isn't working," Lacy blurted out. "I'm going to go." "It hasn't even been an hour yet," Brad told her "You're boring, and the fact that your name is so similar to my ex's gives me the ick, so I'll be leaving," Lacy admitted "Well, you're hot but otherwise have nothing going for you." "Asshole"
That night, as Violet's performance began, Lacy did her best to push Brad's words out of her mind. She'd plastered a smile on her face as she danced to Violet's music. Despite this Lacy couldn't help but wonder if maybe he was right, and she didn't have anything going for her aside from being hot.
"Well, well, well," Dean joked. "Look who decided to stop dressing like she's going to a board meeting." Amelia glared at him, "This is a club is it not?" "We're classified as a bar in build mode, so no" Amelia rolled her eyes, "I'm here to speak with Violet, leave me alone. You're ruining my night"
"And then what? After you talk to Violet, get her signed to your Daddy's music label, you just stop coming in?" "That is the plan," Amelia said tensely. "Then tonight is the last night I have to suffer through your company, forgive me if I want to cherish it a little longer." Amelia scoffed at him.
As soon as the set finished up, Amelia ditched Dean and hurried over towards Violet, "excuse me," Amelia said Violet turned around a look of recognition passing over her face, "Ms. Alden?" "I'm glad you remember me," Amelia smiled at her. "If you don't mind, I'd love to talk to you quickly."
Violet excitedly followed Amelia downstairs. "So, my father and I saw your viral video a few months back," Amelia began. "We'd love it if you'd come in tomorrow to discuss a few things with us." "Absolutely, anything," Violet said excitedly. "How does noon sound?" "Perfect!" "See you then."
The next day, Lacy was busy helping Violet decide on an outfit to wear for her meeting in just a few short hours. "I look like my mother in this," Violet complained. "No, you," Lacy stopped herself. "Okay, yeah you do look like Mads." "I'm fairly certain that these are my mom's pants!"
"Okay well you can't walk into a meeting like this one in ripped jeans and combat boots and be taken as a professional," Lacy pointed out. "This blouse just, so isn't me," complained Violet. "No leather jackets in professional settings either!" "Ugh!" exclaimed Violet in defeat. "I hate this."
"Just promise me one thing, Vi," Lacy's voice turned serious "What?" "No matter what happens in there, do not sign anything without having a lawyer look over it first. I fell victim to that during gen 3 and it fucked me over." "Yeah, yeah, yeah," Violet rolled her eyes. "Don't sign without a lawyer"
At exactly noon, Violet was called into Archer Alden's office. "Ms. Landcaster, correct?" he greeted her with a firm handshake. "Yes, but call me Violet, please." "Have a seat, I insist," Archer gestured to the lone chair opposite his desk. "I've been waiting a long time to speak with you."
"You're a difficult girl to track down," Archer joked. "Had my Amelia here on a wild goose chase these last few months." "So sorry about that. I had some personal issues to attend to," Violet explained nervously. "And they're all sorted now I presume?" "Oh, of course, absolutely. All sorted."
"Let's get to it, shall we?" Archer began "I saw your viral performance from a few months back. I think you would fit right in here at Williams and Co" "Really!" "I'd love to begin working with you on your first album. First I have some documents that need to be signed." "Anything, where's the pen?"

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #74 Part 2
"It's so…quaint," Maggie commented as she and Owen approached his childhood home "Please don't make any passive aggressive comments like that once we're inside," Owen pleaded "What? It's so small." "If Jo hears you talk like that, she won't be afraid to yell at you." "Who's Jo?" "My older sister."
"So, everyone this is my girlfriend, Maggie," Owen introduced. "Hey guys!" Maggie tried her best to sound as upbeat as possible, though it was hard in a house as cramped as this one. A torrent of hellos came from Owen's siblings. "Oh, she's so fashionable!" Cassidy exclaimed. "I love her already!"
"OWEN!" Frankie bellowed before running across the room to greet his oldest brother. "Hey bud!" Owen exclaimed. "It's good to see you." "I was actually wondering," began Frankie. "I have a science project due soon, can you help me with it? I want to get a good grade." "Sure thing, kiddo."
"I have a history paper I'd love for you to proofread too!" chimed Max. "I see why you guys want me around," Owen joked. "Where are your boots from" Cassidy asked Maggie. "I don't really remember," said Maggie. "All I know is I got them at the last San My fashion week I attended." "So cool."
"Whatever happened to that Lacy girl you'd hang out with all the time in high school?" Sophie wondered aloud. "She'd come over all the time." "I think I saw her in a pharmaceutical commercial not too long ago," commented Cassidy. "Can we not talk about Lacy right now," Owen tried to feign annoyance.
Mostly for Maggie's benefit. He knew if the conversation stayed on the topic of Lacy for too long, Maggie would get angry, even though Owen really wanted to keep talking about Lacy too. Even though it'd been nearly 3 years since he's last seen her, his heart still skipped at the mention of her name.
"Hey baby brother," Jo pulled Owen in for a hug once the conversation had died down a bit. "Congrats on finishing university. How are you?" "I'm fine," said Owen. "Don't you dare lie to me, how are you?" "I told you I'm fine." "Kitchen, now. I have superb deductive reasoning skills you little shit."
"Seriously Jo, I'm fine," Owen kept insisting. "You brought a bleached blond bitch into my home and are trying to pass her off as your girlfriend, you're not fine." "You've barely spoken to her" "And I can already tell she's Satan reincarnate. I told you my deductive reasoning skills are unmatched."
"You just need to get to know her a little more," Owen suggested. "I'd rather contract rabid rodent fever than spend quality time with your girlfriend," Jo said dryly. "I can tell by your body language that you don't like her, so why is she here?" "I don't know!" Owen finally said, his voice raised.
"I thought you might want to meet Maggie," Owen said a bit calmer this time. "I mean I did until today. Why are you with her, Owen?" "I don't want to talk about it." "You're going to, because I've about had it with this whole situation." "No." "If this is a battle of wills, just know I always win."
"I really don't want to talk about this," Owen snapped his voice a bit louder this time. "If you're about to yell we're taking this conversation outside, Frankie doesn't need to hear us fight," Jo pointed out. "If I have to piss you off to get you to tell me what's going on, then so be it."
"Owen, just tell me what's going on," Jo said once they were outside. "I want to help." "You can't help, okay!" he snapped "What's that supposed to mean? Is she blackmailing you to be with her or something?" "No…" Owen trailed off. "Not quite." "Just tell me, please. This is starting to scare me."
Every bit of rage came spilling out at Owen, not towards Jo, but towards Maggie, towards her father who put him in this impossible situation. "She makes me miserable!" Owen finally lost it. "There isn't one thing I actually like about Maggie. You're absolutely right." "Break up with her." "I CAN'T!"
"Her Dad is super connected. If I break up with her, he'll make sure I'm blacklisted from every engineering job. Do you know how much those jobs pay. If I stay with her, he'll help me get a good job, so I can help support all of you. I want you guys to be taken care of, to hell with myself."
"Oh, Owen," Jo said. "I never asked you to do that for us, we're fine. You might not care about your own happiness, but I do. You're my little brother. What I want, more than anything, is to see you happy, and that's not going to happen if you're with her. Don't be a martyr for this family."
"Unfortunately, Jo" Owen began to say. "I'm in too deep now." "Don't say that" Jo told him. "We'll come up with something." "You don't understand. Her father swore to me that if Maggie and I break up I will never find an engineering job." "Do don't go into engineering." "And waste my degree?" "Yes."
Unbeknownst to Jo and Owen, Maggie had followed them out and heard their entire conversation from where she stood on the porch. She was furious to hear what they were saying. "Well," Maggie muttered to herself. "I might just have to try a bit harder to keep him."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #74 Part 1
I always post my legacy story to BlueSky first. As it turns out, this update came out quite a bit longer than I had anticipated, so that's why it's split up here on Tumblr. If anyone is interested in keeping up with my story in real time, then follow me on BlueSky: 00Katrinka00, or not.
After three terms of grueling schoolwork, Leo's finally gotten his biology degree, and he graduated with a perfect GPA no less. Now he's back in Copperdale living at his parents' house while he searches for a job.
Mads and Jackie (Nat's mom) have been busy all morning preparing a dual graduation party for both Leo and Nat. "I just can't believe they're both done with uni," Jackie said. "Just yesterday they were little, tiny toddlers." "I know exactly what you mean. Time is moving way too fast."
"Speak for yourself," Jackie joked. "You still have three littles. My youngest is a senior in high school this year. I'm about to be an empty nester." "You should be lucky," commented Mads. "Ethan and I won't be empty nesters until our 60s!" "And whose fault is that?" teased Jackie.
"There he is!" exclaimed Ethan as soon as Leo arrived home. "Hey Dad," Leo greeted his father "We're so proud of you, your mother and me. You remember all the tips I gave you, about job applications and interviews?" "Yes dad my resume is perfect" "Is that Leo?" called Mads from the kitchen "Hi Mom!"
"Come here!" Mads pulled Leo in for a hug. "Congratulations, you deserve it!" "Thanks Mom. Now you won't have another kid graduate college for another 14 years," joked Leo "Oh hush," scolded Mads. "Leave the girls alone, they're just going about things the unconventional way. I'm proud of them too."
"And you have everything ready to go, for your job applications?" asked Mads. "Yes Mom. This is me we're talking about. I'm always on top of it," said Leo. "Oh, Mads just leave the boy alone," Jakie cut in. "You'll have plenty of time to hassle him about Jobs tomorrow. Today's for celebrating."
"Bring it in, kid," commented Jackie. "You're as much my child as you are Mads' at this point." "Thanks, Jackie," Leo grinned. "Speaking of children, where is my daughter?" "Pretty sure she had to pick Sawyer up from one of her supervised visits with Noah." "I'm here!" called Nat from the doorway.
"Oh, come here my sweet little grandbaby!" exclaimed Jackie as she reached for Sawyer from Nat's arms. "Always more excited to see Sawyer than you are me, huh mom," joked Nat. "She's so much cuter," Jackie teased, Nat laughed. "You look beautiful by the way," Leo leaned in and kissed Nat's cheek.
"Oh, I'm so proud of you for graduating university, Nat," Mads pulled her in for a hug. "Thanks, Mads. Hey, are Alex and Sophie upstairs?" "Yes, they're playing dolls in Sophie's room." "I might take Sawyer up there quick so she can play with them." "Go right ahead."
"Sawyer!" Sophie exclaimed as soon as Nat opened the door. "Sophie!" Sawyer exclaimed back. "You play nice with Alex and Sophie, alright," Nat knelt down. "Remember what we've been working on, with sharing?" "I a'member," Sawyer said. Nat kissed her cheek, "I love you." "Love you too, Mama!"
"We are happy to see you," Sophie exclaimed while pulling Sawyer in for a hug. "Like playing with you." "Me too!" agreed Sawyer. "Come, let's play wif Alex. You have first go, I wait," Sophie said as she took a seat to watch Sawyer and Alex play.
"Now that we've found ourselves in an empty hallway, no parents around," began Leo. "I do just want to reiterate how beautiful you look today." "Well thank you, it's not every day we both graduate from university," Nat smiled and Leo pulled her in for a kiss. "Ahem," piped a voice from behind.
"You're blocking the ladder to my room, you do realize this right?" Rosie complained. "I'd like to play with blarfy." "Sorry Rosie," Leo apologized. "You should be, making me watch that kiss was gross. More gross even than when Mommy and Daddy kiss," Rosie explained. "Little harsh there, Roe."
"I know!" Rosie said cheerfully before turning her attention towards Nat. "Your dress is very pretty." "Thank you very much." "Why do you date my brother? You're out of his league." "I certainly don't think, he's smart and handsome." "Gross," Rosie said as the doorbell rang. "You better go get that"
Leo and Nat found Owen and Maggie waiting downstairs. "We're just stopping by to say congrats really quick," Owen explained. "Before we head to my house to have dinner with my family." "You must be Maggie. I've been wanting to meet you," exclaimed Nat. "And you must be the teen mom," said Maggie.
"Really Maggie?" hissed Owen. "What?" "I mean, yes I had my daughter when I was a teen," Nat began. "But I mean that's not my only defining characteristic." "She's also smart, and kind, and it's Nat's graduation too," said Leo. "So sorry," Owen apologized. "Congrats again, we'll be heading out."
"You can't say stuff like that," Owen said clearly annoyed. "Why not? It's true" "It was how you said it, like it was a bad thing. Nat's a great mother, and a great person"
"Is that Owen?" Lacy couldn't help but feel her heart flutter. She stopped to watch as he and Maggie walked away "I think so."
"Was that Owen?" Lacy kept her eyes locked on the back of his head, even through the window "Yeah, he and Maggie were just stopping by to say congrats," Leo explained "Speaking of," Violet continued. "Congratulations to you and Nat who is so far out of your league it's funny" "Really, Vi?" asked Leo
"How's everything going after the breakup?" Mads asked. "It's better now. I've been writing some new music. Still haven't gone back to open mic night, but I'm planning to soon. I want to debut some of my new songs," explained Violet. "That sounds fantastic, sweetheart." "I'm excited."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #73
As the days turned into a month, Violet's anger turned to sadness, and she was unable to do anything other than work. She'd stopped writing songs and performing at open mic night entirely. To her, there was no point when one of the few people who believed in her had broken her heart so thoroughly.
Jenna still hasn't found the right time to tell Violet about her plan to move out, but time is slowly running out for her. "Lacy, I just don't know what to do. I thought she'd be better now." "I know, I know," said Lacy. "It's been a month, and my new lease starts in 5 days! I have to pack."
"Let me try and talk some sense into her," Lacy offered. "Are you sure, she might bite your head off. It's what she tried to do to me." "I'll be fine. It wouldn't be the first time she's gone off on me, and it probably won't be the last. I think I know what to say to her." "Good luck," Jenna said.
"Vi, we need to have a serious conversation," Lacy said as soon as she entered Violet's room. "Not now," whined Violet. "Yes now, and you can scream and cry and yell at me all you want, but you need to hear what I'm about to tell you, because this is all getting a bit ridiculous." "Please, no."
"I understand and Sage broke your heart, she was your first love, and you're allowed to be upset," began Lacy. "But what you aren't allowed to do is let yourself waste away because of her. You have all these feelings, I get that, but you need to turn them into something productive." "How?"
"Violet, you write songs, really really good songs. Take your feelings and write about them. I think it just might help you get over Sage," Lacy suggested. "She was one of the few people who believed in me and my music though." "Not the only one, you have me, Jenna, your parents, so many others."
"There are so many people who believe in you, Violet. I know you're hurting now, but channel that into your music. There could be so many other sims going through a similar thing right now and your music might just help them too." "You might be right…" "Maybe you'll even write a hit song."
For the first time in a month, Violet decided to sit down at her piano and at the very least try to focus on her music. Violet thought about all the times other people's music had helped her get through tough times, and she realized that Lacy had a point. Maybe Violet could do that for someone else.
Dear Diary, Lacy and I had a good conversation yesterday about my breakup with Sage. She made me realize that even though I'm still hurting, I can channel my feelings into my music and create something with them. It feels nice to be writing music again. Even if only a few sims will hear it. -Violet
With Violet seemingly doing better, Jenna thought it as good a time as any to break the news to her. "What's all this?" asked Violet. "It feels like and intervention, and Lacy just had one with me." "There's something important I need to tell you, but I want you not to freak out," Jenna began to say
"Freak out about what?" asked Violet skeptically. "I'm moving to San My in a few days," Jenna told her. "WHAT!" exclaimed Violet. "I told you not to freak out. Look, San My is the place to be for simfluencers like me right now. It'll be better for my career if I move. I know it screws you and Lacy."
"Actually," Lacy began. "I've had like a month to come up with some solutions. We aren't that screwed. For starters, I've been booking pretty consistent gigs which helps a lot. We can also rent the extra room out or just get a full time third roomie entirely." "You've known?" asked Violet angerly.
"Vi, you were in no state to hear the news," Lacy pointed out. "Also, you can move into my room," suggested Jenna. "It's bigger and you can get your piano out of the living room." "You have a point," said Violet. "I guess I'm fine about this." "OMW, thank you Vi!" Jenna exclaimed. "You're the best."
The girls decided to spend one more night out together, as a sort of going away party for Jenna, but also a celebration of the last two years they've spent in Del Sol together. Lacy and Jenna even convinced Violet to get out on the dance floor, even though she's never been a good dancer.
"Three martinis please," Lacy said as she slid into a seat at the bar "Hey," Dean greeted her. "Long time no see. Haven't seen you three, in weeks" "Vi had a bad breakup," Lacy explained. "Couldn't get her to leave the house" "That reminds me. Some lady's been in here every week asking about Violet"
"Who?" asked Lacy. "I don't know. She's rich, walks around with her nose in the air like she's better than everyone. Guess she saw Violet's performance a month ago or something." "You didn't get a name though?" "No. Just tell Violet some rich Ladys looking for her." "I will" "Don't forget" "I won't"
"You know, I've always heard that the best way to get over a breakup is to get with someone else," Jenna said. "I don't know," Violet hesitated. "C'mon, just try and flirt with someone. What's the worst that could happen?" "I really don't know." "There's not even one girl here you think is pretty?"
Violet caved, because Jenna was right. What could possibly go wrong? "So, uh hi there," Violet said as she approached a sim who'd caught her eye. "Hi?" "So, um if we were in the alphabet they'd put U and I together." "Oh, hell no!" exclaimed the girl. Apparently, a lot could go wrong.
"OMW, I'm so sorry," exclaimed Violet. "Look, it's all good," the sim began to say. "But you really got to get yourself some better pickup lines. That was so embarrassing." "Sorry, um I'm just going to uh go over here then, thank you," Violet said sheepishly before running back towards Jenna.
"What was that, Vi?" exclaimed Jenna. "I panicked okay," Violet defended herself. "I've never flirted with anyone before." "Where'd you even learn a pickup line that bad?" "I don't know, I think it was in one of those bad joke books I read when I was a kid." The girls burst into a fit of laughter.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #72
Dear Diary, Mom and dad left yesterday afternoon, and Jenna came back that evening. I don't know what to do with myself now that Sage has dumped me, over text by the way. On one hand I'm devastated, but on the other I'm absolutely furious. I don't know what to do with all these feelings. -Violet
Despite everything going on with Violet currently, Lacy actually had a pretty good morning. She got news from her talent agency that she'd received phenomenal feedback after her performance in that pharmaceutical commercial, and she even got a promotion!
Jenna spent her morning studying the current Simfluencer trends. The results only further confirmed the conclusion she'd made after spending the last few days in San Myshuno. She needed to have a serious talk with her roommates, but she couldn't possibly talk to Violet in her current state.
"Hey Vi," Jenna took a few steps into Violet's room before taking a seat. "I think it might be good for you to get out of the house. Lacy and I were planning on going to the park. Maybe it'll get your mind off everything." "Ugh!" snapped Violet. "Just leave me alone, I'm fine!" She definitely wasn't
"I have no idea what to do about her," Jenna admitted after leaving Violet's room. "She just went off on me for no reason." "Join the club," Lacy sighed. "I think we just have to let her get over this on her own." "That could take weeks!" exclaimed Jenna. "Do you have any better ideas?"
"Listen," Jenna began awkwardly. "There's something I want to talk to you about, privately, but first you have to promise not to tell Vi, not right now at least." "Jenna, what is it?" asked Lacy. "Promise me you won't tell Violet!" "Okay, okay, I promise." "Good, let's go someone private then."
"Jenna what's all this about?" "Obviously I spent the last few days in San Myshuno, and if I learned anything from my trip it's that San My is like the place to be for simfluencers right now. My views have kind of plateaued since we first moved to Del Sol, and I was thinking of moving to San My…"
"You want to move to San My?" asked Lacy in shock. "But what about Violet and me, and rent here?" "I know it's horrible timing, but you've been doing more auditions lately, and Vi's starting to earn tip money from her open mic performances. I just think this will be really good for my career."
"When are you leaving then?" asked Lacy "I mean I'm going to wait for Violet to get over her breakup with Sage, I can't spring this on her now. Plus waiting a bit will give you time to find a solution, maybe a new roommate or something." "Yeah," agreed Lacy. "Violet definitely can't know right now."
Meanwhile, downtown, Amelia Alden decided to head to the bar Violet's performance had been filmed in. It seemed as good a first step as any in trying to track her down. She was surprised to see how dead it seemed tonight. In fact, it seemed she and the bartender were the only ones in the building.
Amelia decided to take a seat at the bar, maybe the bartender knew of Violet. "Slow night," she commented. "No shit, it's a Monday evening. Not too many people party this early in the week." Amelia just glared at him, "I'm looking for someone," she finally said. "Date stand you up?"
"I don't have time for dating. I'm looking for someone who recently performed here. Her name is Violet," explained Amelia. "Yeah, I know Violet. She signs here every Saturday." "Do you know where I can find her?" "She performs here every Saturday. It's currently Monday, come back in 5 days." "Ass."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #71
Dear Diary, Ever since I mentioned playing at that open mic night to Dad, he and Mom have been wanting to come and watch my performance. They're having Mom's friend Jackie watch Rosie, Sophie and Alex while they come to Del Sol to visit with me and Lacy. Jenna's in San My for the week. -Violet
"It's so nice to see you both!" Mads exclaimed after her and Ethan's arrival. "Mom, you saw us like a month ago for Grandpa Matthew's funeral," Violet pointed out as she was enveloped in a hug from her father. "We'll always be excited to see you, sweetheart," Ethan told her. "Love you too, Dad."
"How has everything been?" Mads asked Lacy. "Paying rent on time, no shut off power bills?" "None whatsoever," Lacy grinned. "So, you're good on money then?" "Yes, and speaking of money making, I'm actually on my way out for a gig, but I'll see you guys at Vi's performance tonight." "Break a leg!"
"All your appliances working alright?" asked Ethan. "I brought my tools just in case you need me to look at something. It'll put my handiness skill to some good use." "Dad, we're fine. Appliances work great," Violet told him. "You sure? I can just take one quick look." "It's fine, Dad!"
After Lacy left, Mads turned to Violet. "How are you, sweetheart?" "I'm good Mom." "You're staying out of trouble and everything?" "Yes. No troublemaking over here. It's almost like you don't trust us." "It's not that I don't trust you, I worry. I'm a mother it's my job. You'll understand one day."
After arriving on set for her (second) first ever acting job, Lacy was instructed to head to hair and makeup. "You're Heather, right?" she asked the makeup artist. "I'm guessing you're miss Landcaster?" Lacy nodded and took a seat in the chair. She'd forgotten how much she enjoyed all of this.
After hair and makeup, Lacy went to get fitted for her costume. It definitely wasn't the cutest costume she'd ever worn, but what could you expect when the gig you booked was a pharmaceutical commercial?
After getting dressed she headed over to let the director know she was ready to begin filming.
On the stage, Lacy felt like she was home. Ever since she was a girl trying to get her parents' attention by forcing them to watch the elaborate skits she'd act out. Her mother always said she needed to focus her spirited energy on something more productive, but what did Madeline Landcaster know?
As Lacy's gig wrapped up, Violet was just getting started with her set. Most of her attention was on her parents, cheering right in the front. "Let's go, sweetheart!" exclaimed Mads. If Violet weren't in the middle of a performance, she would have told her mother to stop embarrassing her.
Lacy didn't have time after her gig wrapped to head home and change before going to watch Violet's performance. It left her feeling just a bit underdressed. "How much did I miss?" she asked Mads. "Just the bit at the beginning," Mads told her. "She's doing really well." "She always does."
The following morning, Violet woke up to dozens of missed calls from Jenna. Immediately, her mind went to the worst, so she gave Jenna a quick call. "OMW, Vi!" Jenna answered immediately. "Have you opened SimTok?" "Not yet." "Someone filmed your performance last night, you're going viral!"
Violet opened SimTok on her phone to verify. Sure enough, her performance had tens of millions views and hundreds of thousands of likes. She let out an excited squeal before bolting to the kitchen.
After seeing the state of the girl's fridge, Mads decided to make them a few meals. While she was cooking breakfast, Violet burst into the room. "Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, MOM!" she exclaimed from behind "Just give me a moment, I have to turn the stove off. I'd hate to set your kitchen on fire," said Mads
"What, sweetheart," asked Mads. "Someone filmed my performance last night and it's going viral!" Violet exclaimed. "That's wonderful," Mads said. "Um, what exactly does that mean?" "Millions of sims have seen it! What if a record label sees it and wants to sign me." "Oh, that's fantastic!"
What better way to celebrate Violet's viral success than spending a nice lazy day inside playing board games. If losing Grandpa Matthew had taught her anything, it was that you needed to cherish moments like this. Suddenly, Violet's phone pinged with a text message. "Hold on, it's a text from Sage."
Violet excitedly stepped into the kitchen to answer Sage's text which read:
'Hey, Vi, I don't think long distance is working for us and I think we should break up. I still care about you and would like to remain friends."
Not knowing what else to do, Violet sat down at the table and sobbed.
Eventually, Violet found herself in her bedroom feeling more angry than sad. "Is everything okay, sweetie?" Mads asked. "No, everything is not okay, Mom. Sage just broke up with me, over text! She didn't even have the courage to do it to my face and I'm mad, because I really liked her." "I'm sorry."
"I know you're mad, and you're hurting right now, but it won't be forever," Mads comforted. "One day, you'll meet the one person the watcher has planned for you, and all of this will just be a moment in the past." "But I wanted the watcher to choose Sage for me!" "I know, sweetie, I know."
Meanwhile at Williams and co, the biggest record label in the save file, Amelia Alden, daughter to notorious Archer Alden, CEO of Williams and Co, was called into her father's office. "You've seen that viral video, correct? That girls' performance." "Yes, father, what are you getting at here?"
"Sign her to the label," Archer demanded. "Are you being serious right now?" Amelia asked in disbelief. "Don't use that tone with me young lady, of course I'm serious." "That's Violet Landcaster. You passed on the opportunity to sign her like two years ago when you hosted battle of the bands."
"You said she didn't qualify to win because she entered as a solo act. Then you signed Janie Graham's band, who's a nightmare to work with by the way, and I pulled strings to have Violet attend our music program. Then you spent the whole thing ignoring how talented she is. Now you want to sign her?"
"I don't care what happened two fucking years ago," Archer slammed his fists down on the table. "I want her signed with us before one of our competitors gets to her first, is that clear?" "Yes, your majesty, anything," Amelia quipped before turning to leave. "Maybe listen to me next time, yeah."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #70
Between term papers, presentations, and the passing of his grandfather, Leo still managed to finish out his penultimate term at Foxbury University with a perfect GPA. During the short break between terms, Leo had plans to head back home to Copperdale and spend some time with his girlfriend, Nat.
But first, he needed to bid farewell to his roommate. Over the last few months tensions had risen between Leo and Owen over the fact that Owen had made the decision to stay with his awful girlfriend, Maggie "I was thinking," Leo began. "You Nat and I should hang out while we're back home over break"
"Well…actually," Owen began. "You're not coming back to Copperdale for break, are you?" "Maggie's family is spending break in Sulani, and they invited me to join them," Owen explained Leo rolled his eyes, "I don't even understand why you're still with her; she assaulted someone, and you hate her."
"You know, not everything is always black and white," Owen snapped. "Sometimes people don't have a choice in the decisions they make." "Nobody is forcing you to stay with Maggie!" exclaimed Leo. "You have no idea what you're talking about, Leo. I have no other choice." "You always have a choice."
"Look, Leo can we-" Owen was cut off by the sound of a knock at their door. Upon answering, Maggie ushered herself inside. "Are you ready, baby?" she asked. "I can't wait for you to see the beach house, it's stunning." "All ready," Owen said quietly. "Hey, Maggie," greeted Leo. "Oh, hey Lucas!"
"Maggie, his name is Leo," Owen said "That's what I said, silly! My dad is waiting downstairs, so we need to go," she gave Leo a quick wave goodbye. "You know, Owen," began Leo. "I'll always be here if you ever need something." "See you later, Landon!" called Maggie before rushing Owen out the door.
Leo used the next hour to finish packing. On his way out, he noticed a familiar face getting a little too close with someone he barely recognized. "It's just a few days," the red head was saying. "I still wish I could spend break with you," replied the second girl. "I'll miss you so much." "Me too."
"When we get back, I'll take you on that date I promised, alright?" said the red head. "That sounds great!" the girls pulled each other in for an embrace before parting ways. "Sage?" said Leo. The read head turned around, "OMW, Leo? Um, that wasn't what it looked like." "Are you sure about that?"
"Because, to me it looks a lot like you're cheating on my sister," Leo accused. "I'm not really cheating," Sage tried to explain. "Then what was that?" "It's just," Sage paused for a moment. "It's hard with Violet in Del Sol Valley, and Anna and I have gotten close. We haven't even kissed though."
"Are you going to tell Violet?" asked Sage. "One of us has to, and I'd rather you do the right thing and break up with her than she finds out from me that her girlfriend is cheating." "I don't want to hurt her." "Janie cheated on her in High School, it'll hurt her more to find out you did the same."
After his encounter with Sage, Leo was happy to finally make it to Copperdale to see Nat. As he went to knock on the door, Leo caught the sound of arguing from inside. The first voice he could immediately identify as belonging to Nat. The second voice sounded familiar, Leo just couldn't place it.
"I want to see her, Nat, what's so difficult about that?" "What's difficult about that? Well for starters you show up at my house unannounced, and after wanting nothing to do with MY daughter for the last 4 years you start demanding custody," argued Nat. "I've changed, I want to be in her life now."
"That's all well and good, but if you want to be a part of Sawyer's life, then get a lawyer and file for visitation that way." "C'mon, Nat. You want to get lawyers involved, seriously!" "Yes, I do want lawyers involved. I don't trust you." "Everything alright in here?" Leo asked from behind.
"Noah was just leaving," Nat said from the couch. "I guess I was," Noah grumbled as he slowly made his way towards the door. "Listen," Leo snapped at him. "If Nat says she doesn't want you seeing Sawyer without lawyers, then get lawyers." "Yeah, yeah yeah. You're still a loser, Landcaster." "Jerk."
"Everything alright?" Leo asked Nat as soon as Noah left. "Nothing I can't handle," Nat told him. "It's nice to see you," Leo kissed her cheek. "Where is Sawyer, anyways?" "Napping upstairs. I'm lucky she sleeps like the dead, otherwise that argument would have totally woken her."
"Do we have time to watch a movie before Sawyer wakes up?" asked Leo. "I think we do," Nat smiled as she led him over to the couch. "What are your plans after the movie?" "I was thinking, picnic in the backyard for dinner." "That sounds perfect."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #69
Dear Diary, Lacy and I are back in Copperdale for Grandpa Matthew's funeral. I know he was old, but his death still doesn't feel real. I keep thinking he's about to waltz through the front door and start passing out candies like he always did. I hope he's happy in the forever save at least. -Violet
"Ethan, I really don't think I can do this today" Mads admitted. "I mean why did Ike ask me to give the eulogy?" "You were the gen 6 heir," Ethan reminded her Mads rested her head on his shoulder and let out a sob "This is all just so hard without my Dad" "I know, but we'll get through it, together"
"I know it's going to be hard, but I couldn't think of anyone else to give Matthew's eulogy," Ethan pulled Mads in for a hug. "We'll all be there for you, okay?" "Okay." "Now, we have to get the twins ready. You get Sophie, I'll get Alex?" "Sure."
"Mama, why sad?" Sophie inquired. "I just miss Grandpa Matthew is all," Mads told her. "Cause I no like when you sad. I like happy mama," an idea popped into Sophie's head. "I give you hug so you no be sad." "Aw, thank you sweetheart." "Happy now?" "Definitely."
Meanwhile, Ethan sat down with Alex. "Okay, bud, here's the deal. This is going to be a hard day for Mom, so I'm going to ask you to be on your best behavior. No making messes today, okay?" "I like messes." "I know, but it'll help Mom out if you don't make any, okay?" "Otay, fine," Alex grumbled.
"Lacy, what's the forever save like?" Violet asked. "You can party all day and never grow old or get hungry. Never have to worry about dying, ever again." "Really?" "I mean I think, I never actually made it that far. I got stuck as a ghost before a certain someone decided to resurrect me."
"You're no help with the comfort thing," Violet sighed. "I'm sorry, I've never had to deal with a big familial death like this before" "You parents?" "We weren't ever close, so it wasn't a big deal when they passed. If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Matthew is with his wife, Emily" "Elena." "OK"
Later, Ethan found Violet sitting alone in the living room. "How's everything going?" he asked. "Dad, really?" "Fine, let's talk about something else. Have you made it big in Del Sol Valley yet?" "No, I mean I've been performing at an open mic night every week for the last few months but that's it."
After everyone took their seats in the funeral hall, Mads began her eulogy. "I want to begin by thanking everyone for coming to help celebrate my father's life. He truly was such an amazing sim," Mads' voice cracked as she wiped tears from her face. "He was an excellent father and grandfather."
"I've learned so much from him over the years, and I wish I'd told him more often how big of the impact he made in my life. I can at least say I'll be at peace knowing that after all these years, he can finally be reunited with my mother who he's been waiting for a very long time to see once more."
"Mom, you did a nice job with that eulogy." "Thank you, sweetheart." "I just feel bad now." "What for?" "I wish I'd gotten to spend more time with Grandpa Matthew before he passed," Violet admitted. "I wish I'd been able to tell him how much I loved him." "Trust me, sweetheart, he knows."
Meanwhile, in the forever save, Elena and Jay found themselves on the beach needing a small reprieve from Madeline and Garrett's incessant bickering inside the house.
Ever since Jay had crossed over, he and Elena had become fast friends since they were the only two without their partners.
"I just don't understand why Isla never crossed over with me," Jay was saying. "We died at the same time." "Maybe she had some unfinished business. I've heard that's sometimes why sims get stuck in the main save," Elena explained "Then she needs to hurry up and finish that business so I can see her"
"I'm sure Isla will arrive soon," Elena encouraged Jay. As much as she missed Matthew, she knew that the longer it took for his arrival, the more life he'd gotten to live. Elena was taken from their family too soon, and she never wanted the same fate for Matthew. She'd wait however long it took.
"I've always wondered why Madeline and Garrett continue to put up with one another if they hate each other so much," Elena wondered out loud "Misery loves company, or so I've heard." "This is an awfully long time to me miserable though." Footsteps crunched in the sand behind where Jay and Elena sat.
Elena and Jay suddenly turned around to find both Isla and Matthew approaching. With a shout of happiness, they both leapt to their feet and rushed in for a long-awaited embrace.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #68
Dear Diary, I've been performing at that open mic night every week for the last two months. It's going pretty well; some people even seem to be coming just to see me perform. In other news, I talked to Mom the other day and she says Grandpa Matthew isn't doing so well, I'm worried. -Violet
"Hey, so whatever happened with that audition you had a few months ago. Jenna and I have been so busy I've forgotten to ask." Lacy let out a nervous laugh, "so, uh, about that…" "What happened!?" "Nothing happened per say, I just didn't get the part." "What do you mean you didn't get the part?"
"I mean it's pretty straight forward; I auditioned, they didn't pick me. Not much to it," Lacy shrugged. "Have tried to find anything else?" Violet said clearly starting to get more annoyed. "I mean…I've looked." "Lacy! This is like the millionth time we've had this conversation." "I KNOW THAT!"
"It doesn't seem like you do." "Violet, it's all just-" "Just, what, Lacy?" "It's hard, okay. I find auditions and I sit there, and I try to book them, I really do but I can't. I sit there frozen until I eventually I just close my computer and go out and party, so I don't have to think about it all."
"What's so difficult about all of this?" "I just," Lacy took a long pause. "I don't feel like I deserve it." "What do you mean?" "I was a horrible sim during gen 3, and I'm not proud of it. I want to be better now, but what if I get famous and I'm not and I'm just as horrible as I was during gen 3?"
"Lacy, you can't think like that." Violet's face softened. "You aren't proud of the sim you were during gen 3, and you can't go back and change any of that, but what you can do is try to be a better sim going forward, and that might just start with you booking some auditions to help with rent."
"Can't go back and change anything…" Lacy muttered to herself. "That's what I just said, yes." A lightbulb went off in Lacy's head. "I have to go," she said suddenly. "What?" "I, just…there might be one thing I can change, maybe." "What are you talking about?" "I just have to go, trust me."
Lacy headed to the cemetery in Ravenwood, where the watcher had so graciously transferred all the Landcaster family graves to. Maybe everyone she once knew were now dead, but perhaps their ghosts were still lingering "Isla?" Lacy called out her voice small. She wiped a few tears away. "Isla, please"
When Lacy got no response, she knelt down at her daughter's gravesite. "Look, I don't even if your spirit has passed on yet, it might have. But please, if you can hear me, I want to talk to you. I need to talk with you." A light wind blew through her hair, and Lacy shakily got to her feet.
"What, the hell do you want?" a ghostly form took shape and Lacy sobbed at the translucent form of her only child. "Isla," Lacy wiped her tears away "We've established that you, at the very least, remember my name." "I deserve that. I know I was never good at the whole mothering thing." "You think?"
"From what I recall, you weren't bad at the 'mothering' thing, you were downright awful. You didn't even try to know me" Isla fumed. "You'd pawn me off to whatever nanny you'd hired that week so you could party. I spent my whole childhood alone thanks to you. I don't even owe you this conversation."
"I know you owe me nothing," Lacy said. "Then I'm going," Isla made to turn around. "Wait!" Lacy called out. "I know you don't owe me anything, but I want to apologize, for everything. If you'll allow it, you don't even have to accept my apology, just listen to it. Please." "Fine."
"I know I was a terrible mother. I never knew what a good mother figure looked like. I was so screwed up in the head, still am, I think. You were a child, and I never should have taken that out on you. I should have gotten help, seen a therapist, something. I'm trying to be better, and I'm sorry."
"I'll just go," Lacy said quietly before turning around. Isla was silent for a moment before calling out, "Wait! I never got to cross over with my husband, Jay, and I think it was because I needed to hear your apology." "Really?" Isla nodded before pulling her mother in for one last hug.
While Lacy was busy in Ravenwood making amends with Isla, Matthew was taking his final breaths in Brindleton Bay. The concept of dying never scared Matthew, he'd lived a long and fulfilling life. If anything, he was at peace knowing that soon he'd be able to see his wife, Elena, once more.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #67
Dear diary, Tonight is open mic night, and I'm so nervous. I've practiced my songs probably a million times, but I'm still worried I'm going to make a complete fool of myself. I'm not usually the type of person to doubt myself like this, self-absorbed trait and all, so what's wrong with me? -Violet
Lacy had just gotten off the phone with her agent letting her know that she didn't get the role she'd auditioned for "Hey, Lace. Can I have my guitar, I want to run through my songs with it" "Yeah, but I swear if you don't calm yourself down you'll blow it tonight" As if Violet wasn't nervous enough
The girls met up with Marcus at 9pm sharp, before heading over to his friend's bar where the first performance was already on stage. "Hey man!" Marcus exclaimed while pulling his friend, Dean, in for a hug. "Long time no see," Dean replied. "You're always off one place or another for work" "Yeah…"
"Anyways," Marcus continued. "This is my girl, Jenna, and her friends Violet and Lacy. Pretty sure Violet here is looking to perform tonight." "Awesome," Dean replied and turned his attention to Violet. "I can get you on the list, it'll probably be about 30 minutes." "Thank you," Violet replied.
Violet decided to ask Dean a few questions, to try and calm her nerves "How does all this work exactly?" "You're on the list. If you brough your music with you can pass that to Kian and Kailia over on the piano and guitar. That way you don't have to worry about singing and playing an instrument"
Meanwhile, Jenna, Lacy and Marcus took a seat at the bar. Violet's going to kill it," Jenna said. "I mean she's been practicing all week and sounds amazing." "She really does," Lacy agreed. "Well, I'm excited to hear her perform then," Marcus smiled.
As the current act wrapped up their set, Dead headed on stage to introduce Violet, who was thanking the watcher that she had decided, to bring her music with. Now all she had to focus on was remembering the lyrics. As she launched into her first song, Violet forgot about all the eyes on her.
Jenna and Lacy rushed to the front to see their friend perform. "You're right, she is pretty good," Marcus commented. "I told you," Jenna grinned. "She's been practicing nonstop since high school." Lacy nodded, "Violet eats and breathes her music."
"Let's go Vi!" Jenna and Lacy cheered in unison before making it their personal mission to ensure that everyone in the audience was dancing along to Violet's songs.
After Violet finished with her set, she rushed off stage towards Lacy. "That was incredible! And I didn't forget a single lyric." "You were great!" Lacy exclaimed as she pulled Violet in for a hug. "I think that's the best you've performed it." "Really?" "Yes!" "Excuse me," said a voice from behind.
"Yes?" Violet and Lacy turned to see one of the performers from earlier standing there. "I just wanted to say you sounded so good! It kind of reminded me of that new band, Janie and the Misfits. Their music is so good." Violet's face fell, and without another word she stormed outside "What'd I say?"
"Violet, wait," Lacy called after her. "Who cares about what that rando sim thinks?" "She said I sound like Janie." "So?" "Of course I sound like Janie. It's my music that Janie stole. Every last song on her album. She got famous using my music, and nobody would believe me if I said so, I hate it."
"I hate it because it isn't fair," Violet began to say. "It's not fair that Janie's done all of these horrible things and is still successful. Meanwhile, I wanted to do everything right and now I'm here working my butt off, and I haven't even made it half as far as Janie has. It isn't fair."
"There's this saying that I heard a lot in gen 3, that the higher you rise the harder you fall, and if anyone knows how true that statement is, it'd be me. Janie might be successful now, but karma always has a way of biting people in the ass, and she's got a looooong way to fall now."
"I guess you're right," Violet smiled a little. "Of course I'm right, I always am." "I wouldn't go that far." "I would," Lacy said cheerfully. "What we're going to do now is go back inside and spend the rest of the night dancing and enjoying the music, and absolutely no thinking about Janie." "Okay"

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #66
Dear Diary, The charity gala last night was miserable. I was absolutely humiliated by Maggie Reed, Lacy was totally right about her. On the bright side I'm going to be performing at an open mic night later this week, so I finally have a chance to get some of my music out there. I can't wait. -Violet
After her conversation with Violet yesterday, Lacy was feeling extra productive. She decided to get up early and go for a run, something she used to enjoy doing during gen 3. Meanwhile, Jenna was working tirelessly on her newest SimTube video. Things seemed like they were beginning to look up.
Even Violet woke up feeling inspired. She decided to try her luck at making breakfast, again. (No kitchens were harmed in the making of this grilled cheese). Afterwards, she decided to practice a few of her songs for the open mic night later this week.
After a shower, Lacy was finally ready to sit down and book an audition. She decided to try for Making Moosic, mostly hoping Violet would lend her the guitar so she could practice.
"I finally have an audition!" Lacy exclaimed. "That's awesome! I'm glad the conversation we had yesterday seemed to help." "Just one thing…" "What is it?" Violet asked skeptically. "I need to borrow your guitar. I have to be level 2 for this audition." "If you break it, then you owe me a new one."
Lacy rushed to tell Jenna of the news as well. "So, I was thinking the three of us should go to the club tonight to celebrate." "I mean I'm in, but do you really think Violet would be down to go?" "Oh, she's coming whether she wants to or not. Even if I have to pry her from that piano myself."
Meanwhile, in Britechester, Owen was just arriving back to the dorms after the events of this past weekend. "Hey man, how was your weekend with Nat?" "Great, we haven't seen each other in weeks so it was nice to spend time with her," Leo replied. "How was that gala, thing?" Owen's face fell.
Owen spent a few minutes recounting the details of the previous night. He left out the part that the server Maggie had assaulted has been Leo's sister "It wasn't great" "What are you going to do about Maggie?" "I don't know, I told her we're on a break for now. I couldn't even look at her yesterday"
"I'm going to be honest with you, dude," Leo began to say. "I think you just need to end it with Maggie. She doesn't seem like a good person, and you aren't the same person since you started dating." Owen let out a sigh, "I think you might be right, but right now I'm so far behind on my term paper."
Owen didn't even have the time to get two sentences typed on his term paper before his phone began to ring with a call from none other than Maggie's father, Whit Reed. "Hello?" he answered. "Meet me at Pepper's Pub. I need to have a conversation with you." Owen groaned, "fine, but you get one hour."
"I'm glad you could make it, kid," Whit reached for Owen's hand. "Did I really have a choice?" Owen asked. If there was one thing he'd learned since he and Maggie had begun to date, it was that Whit Reed was not the type of man you kept waiting. "Not really," Whit smirked. "You're a smart kid."
"Can we just get this over with, I'm so behind on all my schoolwork now," Owen said clearly irritated. Whit let out a small laugh, "sure. Why don't we head upstairs, it's a bit quieter up there, and I need to make sure you understand everything I'm about to tell you." "Fine."
"You know," Whit began. "Maggie told me about how you were brought up. Dad died when you were little, Mom was a flight risk. Raised by your older sister. Had to get a job at 14 to help your sister support your younger siblings. Truly remarkable if you ask me." "What's this have to do with anything?"
"My daughter loves you; I know she does," Whit continued. "And I understand that after the events of last night you might be rethinking your relationship with her." "She assaulted a friend of mine." "Assault is an extreme word" "She shoved Violet to the ground" "Violet tripped, this isn't the point"
"All I'm saying is that it might be beneficial to stay with my daughter. You probably have student loans, are most likely still sending what little money you do make to your sister for your siblings. You're a smart kid, Owen. I have connections, could help you get a job after graduation." "I don't-"
"I mean I couldn't possibly have a potential son in law scraping by to make ends meet. I'm just saying, you need to weigh all your options here. Are you going to take financial security or drop out of school to pine after some starving actress in Del Sol Valley." "You're unbelievable," Owen scoffed.
"Just think on it," with that Whit got up from the table and walked away
Owen sat there contemplating Whit's words. He'd hated growing up, never knowing if their power would get turned off, or if they'd have enough food on the table. It'd been the driving force in his decision to attend university.
Go to school, get a degree so he could get a good paying job, so he could support his siblings, so none of his younger siblings would have to grow up with those same concerns. But could he really give up his own happiness to do it?

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #65
Dear Diary, There's a big charity gala I'm catering for tonight. I'm really not looking forward to serving a bunch of rich people tiny food on platters, but we need the money. Jenna picked up the shift with me, so I guess it won't be too bad. I don't know if I should ask Lacy to help though. -Violet
Violet's desperation for rent money won out, so she decided to ask Lacy to join in their catering job later. "So, my boss said we could use another person, and we definitely need the money, so what do you say?" "Absolutely not." "Are you serious right now? You aren't even trying to help with rent."
"I am!" Lacy protested. "I haven't found any good roles to audition for yet." "What do you mean? There are plenty of auditions out there. I saw one posted for a salty suds commercial just the other day." "Salty suds, really? I don't do commercials, I'm Lacy Landcaster, remember?" "This isn't gen 3!"
"Duh, but I'm a lead actress. I've been in blockbuster films; I can't do shitty little commercials." "Nobody knows who you are anymore!" Violet exclaimed. "If they find out I brought the real you back from the dead we'll get in big trouble, as far as anyone is concerned, you're a nobody right now."
Violet took a deep breath before continuing. "Look, I know you're talented, and you're used to getting whatever roles you want, but you're going to have to start from the bottom and work your way up just like everyone else does. Please, Lacy." "Fine, but I still won't help cater tonight."
Meanwhile, Jenna was out on a lunch date with Marcus, her soon to be boyfriend, at least she hoped. "So, yeah, Violet and I will be catering for the Reed family charity gala tonight." "Good luck with that, Whitman Reed is an asshole. I've had to work with his company before, it was a nightmare."
"Most unprofessional man I've ever met. Your friend Violet though. She's the one who's trying to do the whole singing thing, right?" "Yeah, why?" "I have a buddy who owns this bar downtown. They do open mic nights every Saturday. She might wanna perform sometime." "I'll let her know, thank you."
As the gala began, Jenna and Violet were both assigned to tend the bar. "You could make it a regular thing, playing at this bar every Saturday." "But who will even hear me?" "Violet, you never know who could walk into that bar. You can't be afraid to at least try. Your music is great, trust me."
"You have a point," Violet decided. "I guess I should get some songs together so I can perform next week." "That's the spirit," Jenna's attention caught to the man who sat down at the bar. "What can we get star-…Owen?" "What are you doing here?" Violet's eyes narrowed. "Having a terrible time."
"No, uh, Maggie's Dad is the host of this whole thing," Owen clarified. "What a shame for you," Violet muttered "Is it just the two of you here tonight or…" Owen trailed off. He had to admit, it was nice to see a familiar face. "Lacy's not here if that's what you're trying to ask," Jenna clarified
Owen's face fell, "I wasn't trying to-" "Don't lie," Jenna said "She's probably out at some club partying," Violet told him. "When I asked if she wanted to join, she said no." Owen let out a small laugh, "If I don't remember, the roles were reversed in high school. Lacy used to be the sensible one."
"Well sometimes people grow up," Violet pointed out. "How's uni?" Jenna asked. "Fine, I'd rather be third wheeling Nat and Leo this weekend though. Maybe finish my term-" "Baby!" a shrill voice rang out from behind, and Owen tensed "Where's my cocktail?" "I was just-" "Conversing with the help, ew."
"Let's head back to the table. There are far more important people to talk with," Maggie grabbed Owen's hand to pull him from the chair. "I'll talk to you guys-" Owen was cut off "Come, come," Maggie chided and began to pull him away. She glanced once over her shoulder, "I want my cocktail, pronto."
"Alright, one cocktail made specially for-" Violet was cut off. "What's this?" Maggie demanded sanding up. "Mags, don't," Owen said clearly defeated. "I wanted a sparkling water; how dare you get my order wrong are you incompetent?" "You ordered - agh!" Maggie threw the drink into Violet's face.
"Maggie, you said cocktail, I was there!" Owen tried to defend Violet, who maybe had never been the nicest to him, but she didn't deserve this. "Baby, we've been over this, you have selective hearing sometimes," Maggie turned her attention back to Violet. "And maybe this will teach you a lesson."
"Hey!" Jenna exclaimed coming out from behind the bar. The floor, still slippery from the drink Maggie had just thrown, fell out from beneath Violet's feet as she tumbled towards the ground to the sound of not only Maggie's laughter, but that of everyone else in the room.
"Violet, are you okay?" Owen knelt down to check on his sort of friend. "Fine, just a little disoriented," she clarified. "I'm so sorry," Owen tried to help her up, but Violet shoved his hand away. "Just let me finish this night in peace, please." "That'll teach her," Maggie scoffed.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Jenna asked for what felt like the millionth time. "I'm fine, just ready for bed," said Violet. "What happened?" Lacy turned from where she'd been watching a movie on the couch. "Just Magnolia Reed and that stupid gala," Jenna told her. "Wait, I thought you'd be partying"
"I stayed in tonight," Lacy said with a simple shrug. "Wait, if Maggie was there, then Owen was too?" "Well, yeah he was," Violet said hesitantly. "Do you regret not coming now?" Jenna asked. "I would have punched Maggie Reed on your behalf, Vi," Lacy told her. "Still will if you want." "It's okay."
"Well, I'm going to head to bed," Lacy said. "See you two tomorrow." "Goodnight," both Jenna and Violet's voices echoed off the walls as Lacy headed back to her room. Despite her tiredness, Lacy found it difficult to fall asleep. Too many thoughts rattled around inside her head.
If she was being honest, there was a large part of herself that deeply regretted not going with Jenna and Violet tonight. If only so she could have seen Owen, just one more time.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #64
As the sun began to rise over Foxbury Institute, most students were still sleeping after a wild Friday night of drinking and juice pong, except for one. Leo had been awake for hours frantically trying to get all his schoolwork done before his girlfriend, Nat, arrived in just a few short hours.
Luckily, Leo managed to get all his homework finished just as Nat arrived, which meant he'd be able to give 110% of his attention to her this weekend. With Nat working on getting her teaching degree at Copperdale College, they didn't have much time to see one another.
"I know I promised you a schoolwork free weekend, and I swear all my work is done, but I never got the chance to run through my presentation, and Owen's away this weekend so I was wondering if - " "Yes, Leo, you can run your presentation through with me. I've always been your best critic anyways."
"And that is why vaccines are essential," Leo finished. "How was that?" "Good, I think you should go even more in depth on how it's beneficial for everyone to get vaccinated to protect vulnerable communities. Pull on their empathy, wouldn't want them thinking you're an anti-vaxxer" "Watcher forbid."
"Where is Owen again?" Nat asked. "His girlfriend is dragging him to some fancy gala or something. He made me go with him to pick up a tux the other day." "The same Owen who refused to wear a tie to high school prom?" "Yup." "He's going to be so miserable all night." "Oh, absolutely," Leo agreed.
Together, Leo and Nat broke out into a fit of laughter picturing their friend surrounded by a bunch of old money rich guys. It couldn't be further from Owen's natural environment.
"Before you take me into town and show me all Britechester has to offer, I do want to have a conversation first," Nat began to say. "Uh-Oh." "It's not a negative conversation; I want to make sure we're on the same page when it comes to our relationship going forward. We're long distance after all."
"For starters, I want us both to finish with university. Getting our degrees is important." "Agreed, I think my mom would lose it if I dropped out, especially after Violet skipped university altogether." "Then we can find good jobs and get engaged, followed by a nice wedding, then kids." "Kids!?"
"Yes, Leo, kids. I know I already have Sawyer, but I do want two more, just not anytime soon. I want to get established in my career first, and I think you'd want the same." "You have a point; I think it's good that we're talking about all of this." "Good, now you can take me out to lunch."
Nat and Leo decide to go to Pepper's Pub, one of the only places that doesn't serve cafeteria food. "Tell me more about Owen's girlfriend. We should do a double date sometime." Leo tried to find the right words, "I don't really know Maggie that well." "Is she mean?" "I don't think she likes me much"
"Why would you say that?" "I don't know, she gives me dirty looks sometimes. Owen is just different now, I guess. Definitely not himself." "How so?" "I mean he's going to a black-tie gala for starters, but he also writes far less. He just seems not himself; I don't really know how to explain it."
"Weird," said Nat. "He won't even write screenplays anymore? He loved that." "No, he won't. Maggie is always telling him what to wear, who to talk to." "Have you tried talking to him about this?" "I can't, Maggie is always around. She won't leave him alone. I don't know what to do." "Me neither."
On their way out, Leo noticed a familiar face playing juice pong. "Is that Sage?" he whispered to Nat. "Looks like it." "Who's she with do you think?" Nat shrugged, "a friend probably, let's head back." "OK," Leo said, but he couldn't shake the feeling that Sage wasn't just friends with that girl.

Landcaster Legacy Gens 1-7 Summaries
The Landcaster Legacy Heirs 1-7
Generation 1: Genevieve
Genevieve moves to San Myshuno looking for a new start. She gets a job as an interior decorator and befriends her neighbor across the hall, Kayla. Genevieve decides to join a singles club where she meets Colton. They date for a few years, but Genevieve breaks up with him because he doesn't want to get married. Kayla hosts a dinner party and invites Genevieve. At the party she meets Aidan and after a few too many drinks they go back to Genevieve's place a woohoo. The next day Genevieve finds out she's pregnant. They decide to move in together, so their child doesn't have to be bounced around all the time. Genevieve gives birth to a girl she names Madeline. She then finds out Aidan isn't really into exclusive relationships, and he tends to bring sims in and out of the house all the time. The angers Genevieve and they get into a big fight. He agrees to no longer bring random sims back home. After years of living together and raising Madeline, Aidan and Genevieve fall in love and decide to get married. They then have a set of twins, Josephine and William.
Generation 2: Madeline
Madeline wanted to be the perfect legacy heir. She worked hard all throughout school, so hard she sacrificed building relationships with her family members and peers at school. Eventually she gets accepted into the distinguished Biology program at Foxbury. During her freshman year Madeline meets Garrett, a fellow biology major. The two soon begin competing to be top of the class. Eventually it occurs to Madeline that she'll have to get married in order to continue with the legacy, but she has no clue how make friends. Madeline takes all of her options into account and decides that despite their issues she must marry Garrett in order to continue having a successful legacy. Garrett eventually agrees to the idea, who doesn't want to marry into a legacy family? They spend a few years getting settled into their careers before trying for a baby, but Madeline is having fertility issues. Eventually after many fertility treatments Madeline gets pregnant and gives birth to twins names Samuel and Lacy.
Generation 3: Lacy
Lacy's parents put lots of pressure on her and her brother to pursue science and be the most successful. Lacy hated science and much preferred the creative arts. As a child she joined the drama club at her school and continued with it until she graduated As a teen Lacy began dating a girl named Hayley, and she fell absolutely in love, but ended up cheating on Hayley with her best friend. After graduating Lacy moves to Del Sol Valley and never speaks to her suffocating parents ever again. She works hard to improve her acting and begins booking lots of movie rolls. She catches her big break when she's cast in a movie alongside an actor names Chad King. Lacy and Chad start a physical relationship that results in Lacy getting pregnant with her only child, Isla. Chad wants nothing to do with their child and leaves Lacy. Lacy continues acting and becomes the most famous sim in the save file, but she does hire a nanny to take care of Isla as she doesn't like children. This deeply hurts Isla and makes her feel unloved by her mother. Lacy never does marry. although she is brought back to life by my gen 6 sim, Violet, so her story isn't entirely over yet.
Lacy post reincarnation:
Lacy was not too happy to be reincarnated by her great great granddaughter, Violet. She was actually enjoying the afterlife. Things got even worse when it's revealed that not only was she reincarnated as a 15-year-old, but that she was going to be forced to do high school all over again, and that she had to share a room. Violet's parents allowed Lacy to live with them under the guise that she was just a distant cousin staying with the family for the foreseeable future. Letting the world know that Violet had partaken in necromancy was a huge no no, talk about the scandal. Eventually Lacy and Violet became close friends. Since Lacy had always loved acting, she decided to audition for the part of Luna in a play based off of Pamsimmer's legacy at the time. Naturally, Lacy receives the roll. During the audition process she met Owen, who was the stage manager, and the two became friends of a sort. Eventually he develops feelings for Lacy and asks her out, but she rejects him but makes it clear they can still be friends. Things remains weird between the two of them and then opening night for the play hits. The actor who was initially set to play Elijah passes out and Owen is forced to step in because he's the only one who knows all the lines. During the closing scene to the play Lacy accidentally kisses Owen even though that definitely is not in the script. He tries to talk to her after the show, but Lacy maintains that they cannot date because she'd be a terrible girlfriend (she's still traumatized by Chad King from her previous life). During the play, Lacy makes friends with the hair and makeup artist, Jenna.
Not much happens for Lacy during the rest of her Sophomore year, or during most of her Junior year of High School. At the end of Junior year, Prom approaches. Violet asks for Lacy's permission to go to Prom with Owen, mostly because Violet already told her crush, Sage, that she was going with Owen and Violet doesn't want to be caught in a lie. Lacy tells Violet she really doesn't care because at the end of the day, Violet likes girls and she and Owen are just friends. On the night of Prom, Lacy heads outside to get some air where she runs into Owen. They talk for a bit, and she admits she really didn't want to attend Prom, but that Jenna is just super persistent. During their conversation, Lacy nearly lets it slip that she's been brought back from the dead but catches herself. They do end up dancing for the rest of the night until it's time to crown Prom royalty, which ends up being Lacy. During an event Violet's participating in (Battle of the Bands) Violet and Lacy get into a fight, mostly because Lacy is irritated that Violet won't stop practicing her set music for her performance. During intermission, Lacy runs into Owen who can tell she's upset. Lacy admits it's just because she feels guilty about yelling at Violet earlier that day. She admits that she does this thing where she pushes people away when they get too close. Owen asks her if that's what she did by rejecting him, and Lacy admits that yes that's exactly what she did. Owen tells Lacy that he won't let her push him away and asks for a second chance. She tells him no and explains that she has a lot of personal issues to work through before she's ready for a real relationship. Owen is okay with this answer but tells her that if she changes her mind before he leaves for college then he might have a reason to stay for Senior year (he's graduating a year early).
While Violet spends the term break between Junior and Senior Year in Del Sol Valley, Lacy spends most of break either hanging out with Jenna or sleeping. One day, Jenna and Lacy have plans to meet at the boba shop, but Lacy oversleeps and forgets. While waiting for Lacy to show, Jenna meets a girl names Maggie who is new in town. She expresses her frustration with Lacy about her not showing. Maggie spends their conversation trying to turn Jenna on Lacy for what appears to be no reason. When Lacy does show up, Maggie heads up to the counter to order and she begins hitting on Owen who is taking her order. A few days later, Jenna and Lacy head to the pier where they spot Owen and Maggie hanging out. Jenna confesses her conversation with Maggie from the other day, and the girls come to the conclusion that for whatever reason, Maggie has it out for Lacy. Maggie spends the whole day flirting with Owen, and then Lacy interrupts demanding to speak with him intending to warn him that Maggie seems to be no good. Owen isn't having it, because to him it seems like Lacy doesn't want to be with him, but she also doesn't want him to be with anyone else. With that Owen walks away, and this is the last time she sees him before he goes away to college.
As Senior year begins, Lacy is not doing too well, because it seems that Owen has updated his status on social bunny to be 'in a relationship' and she's about to lose it. Wanting to try something new, Lacy impulsively cuts and dyes her hair, she also dresses in an outfit that is completely against the dress code for their school, and Violet tries to warn her of this, and Lacy just brushes her off saying she looks hot, so it doesn't matter. Mads even tries to warn Lacy who just responds with 'well you're not my mother'. After they arrive at school, Jenna becomes upset upon seeing Lacy's hair, because Jenna's the one that had done Lacy's hair previously, and this sparks a fight between the two of them. Lacy storms off after spotting Charlie, a boy she had previously rejected for his Prom invitation the previous year. They get to talking and Lacy starts to flirt with him before she's interrupted by Violet who is demanding to speak with her. Violet reminds Lacy that she doesn't even like Charlie, and Lacy tells her that that's the whole point. Violet asks if her erratic behavior lately has been because of Owen, and Lacy just gets angry and tells her to fuck off.
After school that day, Lacy was meant to meet up with Sage and Violet but never showed leaving the two to become quite worried. When they arrive home Violet expresses concern to Mads who asks the girls to watch over Violet's younger siblings while Mads and her husband, Ethan, go look for Lacy. They spend hours trying to locate her, and finally they decide to check a bar Lacy used to frequent back during her OG gen 3 days. It's here that they find her flirting with a much older man. Right has Lacy is about to kiss said older man, Ethan and mads interject and haul her away. Ethan starts yelling at this older man telling him Lacy was only 17 and that he's disgusting. Mads tries to speak with Lacy, but it just ends with Lacy screaming at her that she isn't even Mads' child so she shouldn't care about what happens to her. Mads tries to explain that she just cares for Lacy, and they just want what's best for her, and Lacy ends up telling her that even though Mads shares the same name as Lacy's biological mother, she isn't her and therefore she needs to stop acting like her. Lacy then says she doesn't care about any of the Landcaster's. After arriving home, Violet expresses relief that Lacy is home safe, but Lacy just ends up screaming at her. Later that night, while everyone is asleep, Lacy runs away.
Feeling like she doesn't have anywhere else to go, Lacy heads to the home of her vampire friend Lawrence. While she was a ghost, Lacy met and befriended Lawrence who is the son of the most powerful vampire in the save file, Katherine. Katherine never approved of Lawrence's relationship with Lacy, but since Lacy was still a ghost there wasn't much that Katherine could do to hurt her, she was already dead, so Katherine tolerated Lacy and Lawrence's friendship. Now that she's been brought back from the dead, Lacy has avoided Lawrence at all costs, because she really doesn't want to die again, especially at the hands of a vampire as evil as Katherine. Despite this, Lacy takes a chance and heads to Staud mansion (let it be known that Katherine murdered Vlad and stole his home). Lawrence is extremely surprised to see Lacy alive, but after the shock wears off he tells her she has to leave because if his mother finds her then she'll kill her, and he doesn't want Lacy harmed (Lawrence has a bit of a crush on Lacy). Lacy tries to tell him that she's not scared of his mother, in reality she's just lost regard for her own life, but Lawrence is insistent that she leave. As he's trying to force Lacy out of the house, Scarlet, Lawrence's sister, comes down the stairs and teases her brother before drinking Lacy's plasma. As Scarlet finishes, she heads upstairs, and Lacy takes that as enough of a reason to leave but before she has the chance to, Katherine appears. Katherine threatens lacy, and Lawrence begs his mother not to harm her. He points out that hunting normie sims has to get boring after all these years, but Katherine reminds him that the normie sims once hunted the occults. Lawrence again begs his mother to let Lacy leave. Katherine finally agrees so long as Lacy promise her a few things. Lacy agrees, because she just wants to get away with her life. Katherine makes her promise that she'll never try to contact Lawrence again, and that when the time comes Lacy will side with Katherine. lacy tries to ask what that means, but Katherine forces her out of their home and Lacy sprints away.
The only other place Lacy can think to go is to Charlie's house. He welcome's her with no questions asked. Charlie skips school all week to spend his days hanging out with Lacy, but on Friday they have exams, and he decides to go in because he doesn't want to completely flunk out of school. At school, Violet confronts Charlie asking if he knows where Lacy is. Charlie is evasive the whole time and tells her he hasn't spoken to Lacy since the first day. When he gets home Charlie tells Lacy that he needs to get that 'annoying cousin' of hers off his back. Lacy doesn't like how he's insulting Violet and the two of them get into a fight. Charlie tells Lacy that she owes him woohoo in return for him letting Lacy crash at his place. Lacy ends up punching him and then storming out of the house. With absolutely nowhere else to go, lacy decides to bite the bullet and return to the Landcaster house. When she arrives, Mads and Ethan are out spending the evening searching for Lacy while Matthew (Violet's Grandfather, but also Lacy's Grandson) plays some cards with Violet and her younger sister Rosie. Violet tries to talk with Lacy, but since Lacy is feeling too defeated, she just tells Violet to please leave her alone.
The following day is the birthday party for the youngest little Landcasters, Alex and Sofie. That morning, Mads heads up to speak with Lacy and inform her that she and Ethan think it would be beneficial for Lacy to start seeing a therapist because it's clear she's struggling and needs help. While Lacy had attitude about this, she doesn't completely refuse. As the birthday party begins, Lacy finds herself outside soaking her feet in the pool. Matthew decides to join her and officially introduce himself, because even though he's Lacy's Grandson, they haven't ever actually met. Matthew ends up giving her some words of wisdom explaining that he understands she's going through a hard time, but that she's surrounded by people who love her and want the best for her and that she doesn't want to push away all the people who care about her otherwise she'll be left all alone. Lacy agrees to try a bit harder at maintaining relationships with everyone.
For the rest of Senior year, Lacy continues to see a therapist and it really does seem to help her. After graduation, Lacy, Violet, and their friend Jenna decide to move to Del Sol Valley so they can pursue their careers. After moving Violet and Jenna both get to work finding jobs and earning money to pay bills. Meanwhile, Lacy is struggling. She finds herself in a state of paralysis when it comes to finding auditions, and on top of that she stopped going to therapy after their move. Lacy spends her days mostly sleeping, and her nights partying. She begins a casual woohoo relationship with her neighbor, Carla, but she's still unable to put in the effort to find work. This begins to grate on Violet and Jenna and they both try speaking with Lacy about this. Lacy ends up just snapping at both of them, and it's becoming more and more clear that Lacy is slipping back into the same habits that she had during the beginning of Senior year.
TBC
Generation 4: Isla
Growing up Isla always felt unloved by her mother, and all she ever wanted to be a better mother to her own children than her mother was for her. As a teen Isla started dating a boy named Luke. When she's about 16 Isla finds out she's pregnant. Turns out Luke wants nothing to do with the child and leaves her. Isla gives birth to her first son Jackson. When she's 18 Isla gets into a toxic relationship with an older man named Ian. After dating for a little while Isla finds she's pregnant again and she and Ian decide to get married Isla gives birth to her second son, Daniel. Her relationship with Ian gets more toxic, and eventually she gives birth to a set of twins, Christopher and Matthew. On the morning of Winterfest Isla catches Ian being mean to Jackson and she kicks Ian out of their house and files for divorce. Eventually she meets a man named Jay who happens to be Jackson's teacher. Isla and Jay become friends, and they eventually fall in love and get married. Together Isla and Jay adopt two more sons, Steven and Thomas.
Generation 5: Matthew
Growing up Matthew was bullied a lot and he often found solace in video games. When it came time to think about his future Matthew didn't really know what he wanted to do, but he eventually got accepted into Foxbury to study computer science and he thought why not? When he got to university Matthew met a biology student named Elena and he fell in love with her at first sight. After becoming friends, Elena asks Matthew to help her get out of her abusive relationship and Matthew agrees. He gets into a bar fight Elenas boyfriend and the cops get called and they get arrested and held overnight. Days later Elena's boyfriend attempts to kill Matthew to get him out of the way, but this time is arrested and put in prison. Matthew and Elena stay friends after this and eventually Elena falls in love with Matthew and they get married. Together they decide that want a very large family, so they have 11 biological kids together. In birth order, Alyssa, Lauren, Olivia, Spencer, Collin, Samuel, Jane, Erin, Miles, Ike, and Mads. They adopt another daughter named Layla.
(Honestly, I wanted to see how much I could torture myself with the number of kids Matthew and Elena had).
Generation 6: Madeline (Mads)
Mads is the youngest of 12 children, and her mother dies shortly before she aged up into a teen. Her father was so stricken by grief that he struggles to parent her throughout her teen years. Mads had difficulty managing her own grief, so when she started high school she began sneaking out, attending parties and messing around. Eventually she meets Whit and the two begin dating, except Whit is manipulative and cheats on her all the time. Mads eventually decides that she wants to study biology like her ancestors before so she gets accepted into Foxbury. There she meets Jackie (her roommate), Parker and Ethan. The three become good friends. Whit finally breaks up with mads and she realizes that she is better off with him. Mads begins a relationship with Ethan. They move in together. Mads gets a job offer to work as a marine biologist, but she must move to Sulani. Ethan agrees to follow her there. After living in Sulani for a few years, mads and Ethan get married. Together they have five children: Leo, Violet and Rosie and twins Sophie and Alex
Generation 7: Violet (Current Gen)
Violet grew up in Sulani, and she had a very good childhood. She and her older brother had a tendency to butt heads and argue, but that's just how all siblings are. She quickly became best friends with their neighbor, Gianna. When Violet was 12, her father got a job offer in Copperdale, and their family was forced to move. Violet was not happy about this and often acted out in school. Amidst all of this Violet had been trying to stay in contact with Gianna by writing letters. Despite their promise to always stay in touch, Gianna mysteriously never wrote Violet back. As she gets closer to her teenage years, Violet decides she wants to become a singer when she grows up. While her parents and extended family are supportive of her, they also think it might be good for her to go to college, so she has the ability to network and therefore have a better chance at getting her foot in the door as a singer. Unfortunately, Violet wants absolutely nothing to do with higher education.
As she started High School, Violet becomes good friends with a girl named Janie who shares Violet's love of music. Eventually Janie askes Violet to join her band. At the same time, Violet develops a huge crush on a boy named Noah who is the most popular boy in school. Noah has previous beef with Violet's brother, Leo, so he begins to entertain Violet's fantasies as a way to get under Leo's skin. Violet's parents continue to try and push her towards university, which just aggravates her further and makes Violet believe that nobody in her family believes in her. She confesses all of this to her friend, Janie who vehemently agrees with her. After thinking for approximately 30 seconds, Violet decides the only way to get her parents to come around to the idea of her skipping college to pursue music is if she brings her great great Grandmother, Lacy, back from the dead. Because they're only like 15, Janie supports this idea, and the girls get to work studying necromancy. Eventually they find that there is apparently a wishing well in Moonwood Mill, and the girls decide to search for it that very night even though Violet has a curfew that she will most certainly miss if she goes hunting for magical objects in another city.
Once in Moonwood Mill, Violet and Janie do end up locating the wishing well, and Violet spends $5000 (of her parents' money) simoleons on an offering. Sure, enough the well brings Lacy back to life, but the entity controlling the well tells Violet that there is a cost to bring someone back from the dead, and that someone Violet loves will die so Lacy can live. Violet immediately regrets her decision, but it's too late. On their way home, Violet tries to get Lacy to help her convince her parents that college doesn't matter, and Lacy refuses to help and is very clearly angry about having been brought back from the dead. After arriving home Violet quickly discovers that nobody seems to have died, so maybe the well was lying. Her parents on the other hand, are furious. Violet ends up grounded until further notice, and they force her to get a part time job in order to pay them back the $5000 simoleons that Violet now owes them. They also decide to send Violet to therapy to try and help her deal with a lot of the issues she's been having.
Violet gets a job working for the local Boba and Thrift Store. ON her first day she's trained by another teen named Owen. The two do not get off to a good start, and Violet spends nearly the entire day insulting him while Owen calls her a spoiled brat. Shortly before her shift is over, Janie comes in and ends up convincing Violet to lie to her parents and attend a party with her that evening. Violet is hesitant at first, because she knows if her parents find out they're going to be even more angry with her, but she decides to go to the party anyways. There, she runs into her crush, Noah. Violet ends up ditching Janie and spending the party outside with Noah who spends the whole time flirting with her. Noah ends up being Violet's first kiss, but Janie sees and gets extremely jealous (Janie has a pretty big crush on Violet) and the two get into a fight which ends in Janie storming off. Violet tries to go after her, but runs into her brother, Leo, instead and the two get into an argument and Violet begs him not to tell their parents. He agrees, but only because he knows they'll find out anyways.
The following day, Violet is scheduled to have therapy after school but is approached by Noah who ends up asking her on a date. Violet agrees and skips therapy to go on a date with Noah. After arriving home Violet finds that her therapist contacted her mother about Violet skipping the appointment, and she's in even more trouble. Mads decides that Violet can't even be trusted to go from one place to another without an escort, so until further notice Mads will be walking her daughter to and from school, work, therapy, and home. Naturally, Violet is pissed and ends up telling Mads she hates her. For the next several weeks, Violet is basically on lockdown at home, so the only time she can see Noah is during lunch. During one of these lunchtime rendezvous Violet very awkwardly tells Noah she's in love with him. Eventually, Leo finds out that the only reason Noah's trying to date Violet is to piss him off, and that Noah intends to break Violet's heart. Not knowing what to do about this, Leo recruits Lacy for help and she ends up getting into a fist fight with Noah at school the next day. It works, and he stops speaking to Violet entirely. She's upset but gets over it eventually.
Over the following weeks, Violet has been on her best behavior and Mads allows her to have a sleepover at Janie's house. There, the girls dress up in ridiculous outfits, make prank calls, and play a game of truth or dare that ends up with Janie daring Violet to kiss her, which she does. Afterwards this leaves Violet confused, because she realizes that she liked kissing Janie far more than she ever liked kissing Noah. Eventually she realizes that she was only ever interesting in Noah because he was the most popular boy in school, and it seemed like she had to be interested in him, but ultimately Violet realizes that she is attracted to only girls.
During work on day, Janie comes in and tells Violet that she found a gig for their band to play. Violet is extremely excited but quickly realizes that her parents will never allow her to go, because she's still working on building their trust back. Janie ends up convincing her to lie to her mother again. That night Violet asks to go over to Janie's house, and Mads agrees under the condition that she's home at 11pm. Instead of going to Janie's the girls, and the rest of their band, play the gig that Janie booked for them. They have an amazing time, and afterwards Violet confesses her feeling to Janie, and the two begin officially dating. After getting caught up in everything that happened that night, Violet discovers that it's far past her curfew and rushes home to find her mother waiting angerly. Mads and Violet get into yet another heated argument about them not being able to trust Violet. Mads ends up making Violet do community service in the hopes that it will increase her daughter's responsibility, and it does.
A few months go by, and Violet had really been proving herself to her parents. The opening night for Lacy's play is drawing closer, and Janie calls Violet with news of another gig. The problem is that it's the same night as Lacy's play, and Violet already promised Lacy, and the rest of her family, that she'd be there. Janie tries to convince Violet to lie again, but this time she doesn't want to (she does try to get Janie to reschedule the gig, but she refuses). Ultimately Violet does skip the gig to attend Lacy's play (the first good decision she's made in a while). After the play, Janie confronts Violet about missing their gig. Violet defends herself saying that she's thought long and hard about the sim she wants to be, and it isn't someone that lies and blows off her family members. Janie feigns understanding, and Violet invites her to a dinner party Mads is throwing the following night. Janie promises to show up, but she ends up purposefully missing the dinner party to pay Violet back for missing the gig. This sparks a fight between Janie and Violet which ends with the girls deciding to take a break while Janie visits her father in Mt. Komerobi over term break.
Over term break, Violet spends most of the time working (and subsequently arguing with Owen), and spending time with Lacy and her friend Jenna, so much so she ends up folded into their friend group. On the first day of Junior year, Violet goes to the music room like she always does, but she finds that over term break Janie started dating a girl named Sage who is now a new student at their school. Janie tells Violet that she understands that family is a newfound importance to Violet, so Sage will be replacing her as lead singer, but Violet can still write all their songs behind the scenes. Violet is not okay with this, and Janie ends up just kicking her out of the band entirely.
For a school project, Violet ends up getting partnered with Sage and she is not happy about this, because she largely blames Sage for replacing her in the band and just going along with whatever Janie wants. Sage ends up cornering Violet after class and explaining to her that she didn't know the band had a lead singer when Janie asked her to join, and that if she had she would have never agreed. Sage also warns Violet that there's an event called battle of the bands that will take place at the end of term and that Janie doesn't want Violet to know about it because she's worried that Violet has the talent to beat them. She also warns her that Janie plans to steal all of the music that Violet has written thus far, and that she should look into getting a copywrite lawyer. Violet does convince her parents to get her a lawyer to try and fight the copywrite stuff with Janie, but ultimately, they end up losing and Janie steals all the music Violet has written thus far. Violet is devastated but decides to pool all her energy into making even better songs, because she fully intends on winning battle of the bands.
As the months go by, Violet and Sage actually become friends despite the fact that Sage is still a member of Janie's band. As both battle of the bands and Prom draw nearer Violet decides she wants to ask Sage to be her date to Prom, but before she can Sage tells her she's going with Janie. Feeling like she needs to also have a date, Violet blurts out that she's going with Owen even though she hasn't asked him (or Lacy for that matter, because she and Owen kind of have a thing). Violet does end up asking Owen to Prom, but she explains that it's only so Janie doesn't find out she lied, and because Owen is a decent guy (and he thinks Lacy is fine with it). Ultimately, Lacy tells Violet she doesn't care because they'd be going as just friends (even though Violet and Owen don't really like each other). During Prom, Violet spends most of the evening staring longingly over at Sage which irritates Owen because even though he wasn't planning on going to Prom, not that he's here he at the very least wants to have a bit of fun, but Violet won't even dance with him. Eventually, Violet tells him to just go away because she's sick of arguing with him. Unbeknownst to Violet, Sage and Janie were having a horrible time at Prom. Janie was under the impression that Sage had been spending all this time on Violet these past months to find out what she was playing for battle of the bands so they could sabotage her. Sage said she'd never do something like that, and that Violet is her friend. Janie ends up calling Sage useless and in turn Sage quits the band the day before battle of the bands, she also breaks up with Janie in the process. Seeing that Sage is a bit upset, Violet attempts to talk to her. Sage tells her about everything that happened with Janie and confesses that she wanted Violet to ask her to Prom. The two laugh at the miscommunication and they end up dancing together and also sharing their first kiss.
The following day is battle of the bands, and despite Sage quitting last minute, Janie steps in and sings the songs for their set, surprising both Violet and Sage, because neither of them knew that Janie could sing that well. This leaves Violet extremely nervous for her set, but after a pep talk from Sage, she goes out there and kills it. At the end of the competition, it's revealed that the winner will receive a record deal with Williams and Co. the most famous record label in the save file. It's revealed that Janie's band ends up winning, and Violet is devastated because she'd spent that last several months working her butt off for this performance. Afterwards she's approached by Amelia Alden, daughter of the man who owns William's and Co. Amelia reveals to Violet that Janie's band won on a technicality, and that the fact that Violet performed as a solo act disqualified her from the competition, because it was meant to be for group performances only. Amelia tells Violet that despite all of this, she's one of the most talented sims Amelia has ever met and offers her a spot at the Del Sol Academy of The Arts for the program they host during term break for up in coming new talent. Violet begs Mads to let her go, and although Mads is hesitant about letting her daughter spend the entirety of break in Del Sol Valley, Mads ultimately agrees.
Violet comes back after term break more determined than ever to improve her music. It's also time for Leo to leave for college. Violet has a pretty tame senior year. She keeps her head down, works on her music, and shows up for her shifts at the boba shop, although she does find herself disappointed that Owen graduated early and went off to college, because despite how much he irritated her, things at work aren't the same without him. Most of the drama that Violet encounters her senior year has to deal with Lacy, who is near close to a mental breakdown. Overall, though, Violet has grown up a lot since her time as a lying, curfew breaking, necromancer. She even ends up becoming valedictorian, which she enjoys rubbing how easy it was in Leo's face (it was like his one goal for high school, and he did achieve it, but Violet didn't even try).
After graduation, and aging up into a young adult, Violet, Lacy, and their friend Jenna all decide to move to Del Sol Valley together to pursue their careers. Violet in music, Lacy in acting, and Jenna as an influencer. Violet and Sage are still dating, although with Sage in college it's a long-distance relationship. After their move to Del Sol Valley, Violet immediately gets a job as a caterer just to make some money to help pay bills until she can get further in her music career. With Violet and Jenna working nonstop for money, Lacy refuses to attend any acting auditions, and she refuses to get a different job in the meantime. This causes a lot of tension with Violet and Lacy. Sage ends up visiting one weekend, and Violet is able to show her around Del Sol Valley; however, Violet notices that whenever she tried to ask Sage about University, she gets really evasive with eh questions, and Violet can't help but feel like something is wrong.

Anyways, this is where I have left off with my legacy. I will hopefully remember to update Violet and Lacy's summaries as I continue to post updates. I hope this maybe helps some new people understand the history of my Legacy family without having to go back and read every single update, because I do have a lot of them. If you got this far, thank you so so much.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #63
Dear Diary, I'm still beyond pissed with Lacy over the whole job thing, but Jenna said she'd try and talk to her. Here's to hoping their conversation goes well. Sage made a surprise weekend visit which was nice because I've missed her so much. -Violet
"We never really did talk much about how university is going last night, tell me everything," Violet said the following morning. "Oh, well, you know there isn't much to say. It's just a lot of studying. I've seen Leo and Owen out and about a few times," Sage explained.
"That's it though? No wild parties or anything?" "Well no, not really…" Sage trailed off. Violet couldn't help but feel like Sage was hiding something from her. "You know, I'm only in Del Sol until tonight, and school is kind of the last thing I want to talk about right now."
"It's a big part of your life right now, and-" "It's so boring," Sage cut in. "What I do want is for you to show me around the city. I've never actually been here before, you know." "I'd like that," Violet smiled even though she desperately wanted to know what Sage was hiding.
Meanwhile, Jenna tried talking with Lacy again. "Our conversation yesterday got cut off when Sage arrived, but I just wanted to know if you've found a job or anything yet?" "OMW, I really wish you and Violet would leave me alone about all this stuff. I'm doing the best I can."
"Lace, it's just we have things like rent to pay for and Violet and I can't be the only ones doing anything around here. I need you to understand that" Jenna tried to explain. "I know, I know. I'm trying, I swear," Lacy's shoulders slumped. "Give me a few more weeks, I promise."
In the city, Violet and Sage headed to Plumbob Pictures Museum "And here we have a spaceship from The Invasion of Strangerville, staring," Violet’s voice trailed off as she read the plaque. "Lacy Landcaster." "She's the one your cousin Lacy is named after, right?" "Ha, ha…yeah"
"And here is the throne used in the film, Medieval Sims, also staring Lacy Landcaster it seems," Violet explained "I didn't know your ancestor was in so many movies, I swear her name is listed under like half the plaques in this building," Sage observed. "She sure was popular…"
Outside, Sage insisted on finding Lacy's celebrity tile. "I guess she was kind of a big deal back during gen 3 times," Violet shrugged. "Look, there's even an empty spot next to her. When you get your celebrity tile you can put it right next to your ancestor's!" Sage exclaimed.
"I don't know about that-" "Oh, come on, you're so talented. I just know that one day you'll get your own celebrity tile just like your great- whatever Grandmother," Sage encouraged before continuing the check out the other celebrity tiles. "Who's Chad King?" she asked curiously.
"Oh, let's maybe never mention him ever again," Violet tried to change the subject. She knew he was still a sore spot for Lacy "Why?" "I mean his name is Chad, so clearly he must have been an asshole," Violet explained. "Also, he died of rabid rodent fever which is so lame."
Violet quickly ushed Sage away from the celebrity tiles. "And here we have Ward Park, where I come almost daily and fail at busking," she explained "Stop being so hard on yourself!" "It's true though, I barely make any money here. If it weren't for my catering job we'd be broke."
"You need to have a more positive mindset about all of this. If you keep being negative then nothing good will ever happen," Sage explained. "You're right!" "Also, in the meantime talk to Lacy again. I'm sure it has to be hard living in your ancestors shadow like that."

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #62
Dear Diary, Bills are due soon, and I'm so worried we aren't going to have enough to pay them if Lacy doesn't get a job asap. I don't know what more I can do aside from continuing to pester her. I'm not about to kick her out and leave her on the street, she's family. -Violet
Early the next morning, Lacy managed to catch Carla before she snuck out this time. "Hey, you know I don't think my roommates would mind if you stayed for breakfast." "Can't, I have to be home to walk my son to school," Carla replied. "SON?!?" Lacy exclaimed.
"I didn't know you had a son," Lacy said in disbelief. If there was one thing Lacy knew about herself, it was that she hated children. "It's not like the two of us are serious, it's just woohoo," Carla reminded her. "Right, just woohoo…"
After Carla left, Violet decided to try her hand at making breakfast again. As she was scraping toast from the pan, Jenna came out of her room. "OMW, Vi guess what!" Jenna exclaimed before noticing what Violet was doing. "Be careful, last time you burned the kitchen down." "Yeah"
After safety removing their breakfast from the stove, Violet turned around. "What are you excited about?" "I got my first brand deal!" "OMW, that's amazing!" Violet rushed over to hug her friend. "What is it?" "These new CC lashes or something, but we have enough for rent now!"
"What are we going to do about Lacy though?" Violet asked as she sat down. Jenna just shrugged, "I really don't know. Want me to try and talk to her later. Maybe if the call is coming from the both of us." "Maybe, she's just being ridiculous right now." "I know, Vi, I know."
"It's just, we're good on rent for this month now thanks to your brand deal, but what about next month? Lacy isn't even trying to find any kind of job," Violet began to rant. "Just let me try and talk to her later. I think you have a special talent for getting on her nerves."
After her conversation with Jenna, Violet decided to head to Ward Park in an attempt to get them ahead on next month's rent by busking before work. Although she didn't make much, it was still more than last time.
Meanwhile, Jenna tried to have a conversation with Lacy. "Do you see where we're coming from though. Rent can't just fall on the backs of Violet and I." "Yes, but like have you ever seen an actress get her start working as a cashier?" "It'd just be until you get that first role."
"What am I supposed to do? Get a job at SimMart? Do you KNOW what happens to people who work at SimMart? They get sucked into the endless time loop that is corporate greed. Next thing I know I'll be 50 and still bagging groceries for unlivable wages. No way."
"There's nothing wrong with bagging groceries," Jenna tried to explain. "There is when you're doing it for 40 hours a week and can still barely afford to put food on the table and pay rent. I'm not even going to mention-" Before Lacy could finish the doorbell went off.
"Sage!" Lacy and Jenna exclaimed pulling their friend into a hug. "Hey! I had a long weekend at university, so I decided to come out to see Violet," Sage explained. "Where is Vi?" "She's at work," Jenna explained. "Probably won't be back until late, but you're welcome to stay."
While Sage and Lacy caught up, Jenna excused herself to film for her brand deal. Unfortunately, right as she started recording her video station died. "This is so disgusting," Jenna muttered to herself.
By the time Violet had finished with work she was not feeling too well, but as soon as she saw Sage her mood was immediately lifted. "What are you doing here?" "Just wanted to surprise my girlfriend for the weekend," Sage smiled. "Consider me surprised," Violet pulled Sage in.
"How is university going?" Violet asked as they retired back to her bedroom. "Oh, you know, the same old," Sage brushed the question off. "And your roommate? What was her name again?" "Anna, she's cool, I supposed," Sage replied. "Tell me about Del Sol so far!"
Violet launched into her tale about the last few weeks in Del Sol while Sage nodded along. "It's just been a lot between work and trying to get Lacy to work. I want to find time to record my own demo but haven't been able to just yet." "Well, I just know your demo will be great."
"You know…" Sage began to say. "Now that we're done catching up, I have some ideas for what we could do next." "I'm listening."
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Sage asked. "I just know this is your first woohoo and everything, so I want to be sure." "Yes, Sage, I'm sure that I want to do this," Violet assured her.

Landcaster Legacy Gen 7 Update #61
Dear Diary, Things aren't going so well here in Del Sol Valley. I burned the kitchen down. We're all struggling for money and Lacy doesn't seem to be trying very hard to get a job. I guess Jenna has a date tonight, so there's that. -Violet
In regard to the girl's money problems, Jenna is working overtime trying to get more videos out. This one happens to be a 'Get Ready With Me' for her date later tonight.
Lacy on the other hand doesn't seem to be working too hard to find auditions.
"Lacy, we need to talk," Violet said later that day. "Why haven't you had a single audition yet? You're talented, I know you'd book the parts, but it doesn't even seem like you're trying." "Excuse me?" Lacy asked angerly. "This is a lot harder that it seems."
"Don't get pissy with me, I'm trying to make sure we're all pitching in, so we don't get evicted," Violet snapped. "Oh yeah? Well, it feels like you're micromanaging our lives. Mind your own dam business." "If you can't find auditions then you need to get another job."
"I'm serious about this. We NEED to be able to pay rent so if you can't find acting jobs then you need to work somewhere else in the meantime. Be a barista, a cashier, I don't care but don't continue sitting on your ass and make Jenna and I pick up your slack." "Get. Out."
Before Violet and Lacy had a chance to resolve their argument, Jenna called them into her room for final opinions on her outfit. "Is this too 'suburban mom'?" "It looks cute," Violet told her. "Definitely a cute first date outfit." "Okay, good. I hope this date goes well."
"So," Jenna began. "What do you do for work?" "I manage an investment firm," Marcus explained. "We have lots of clients in Del Sol and San My, so I travel between the two cities often." "That's so cool. I've never been to San My before." "Maybe I can teleport you out some time."
Jenna and Marcus continued their conversation until it was time to place their order. Both got the salt and pepper shrimp cocktail.
"Tell me more about your SimTube channel." "Oh, well it's not much yet," Jenna said sheepishly. "I mean it's been a bit difficult to start receiving royalties, but I'm putting everything I have into it." "I hear consistence is key on that platform." Jenna nodded her agreement.
Soon their food was brought out, "so how does it taste to you?" Jenna asked. "Honestly this is really poor quality," Marcus admitted. "It's giving me a bad aftertaste." "I wonder how they managed to mess yours up so badly when mine is fine," Jenna observed. "Beats me."
When the date was over Marcus walked Jenna back to her house and he even gave her a rose. "I had a great time today; we'll have to do this again sometime." "That sounds like fun." Without another word Marcus leaned in for their first kiss.
Inside, Lacy was checking herself out in the mirror as Jenna came back in from her date. "He was so hot," Lacy told her. "I know!" Jenna exclaimed. "It was basically the perfect date. He has business in San My, but when he gets back we're planning to go out again" "That's great!"
"What are you all dressed up for?" Jenna asked. "I'm going to the club tonight. I have to blow off some steam after my fight with Vi. Want to come?" "I really shouldn't. I have videos to edit." "Don't be boring like Vi." "Seriously Lace. Violet has a point." "Whatever, bye."
With Lacy at the club, Jenna changed into comfier clothes and got to work editing.
Meanwhile, Violet was practicing her guitar. She wants to increase her skill before going to busking tomorrow, maybe it'll actually get her some tips this time.
At the club, Lacy ran into a familiar face. "It's you again," Carla commented. "I needed to let loose a little, it's been a long day," Lacy told her. "No judgement here. I can help you loosen up if you'd like."
Lacy and Carla found a nice quiet corner of the club. "I think you turned my whole day around," Lacy flashed one of her award-winning smiles. "I can make it even better if you'll let me." "I'll let you do anything you want."
"In that case," Carla pulled Lacy in. "Why don't we just head back to by place?" Lacy asked between kissed. "I like where your head is at."
Needless to say, Lacy and Carla had a fun night.
