I originally made it as my original fic account but I've decided to use it to reblog stories I wanna read/am reading. Just in case I reply under that name. Apparently I forget to switch between them.

From my writing blog. I will probably move my fanfiction writing to this blog eventually. Better to do it now at the beginning.

My current project…

I wanted to post a small excerpt of the novel I’m currently working on.

“Are you alright, Miss Vega?” James asked. He ducked his head a bit to get a closer look at Cassidy’s face as she used his arms to steady herself. “Are you feeling faint?”

“Nope. Just tripping on my dress.” She confessed and quickly released his forearms embarrassed by both her stumble and the fact that she couldn’t help but notice how tight his forearms were.

“Oh.” Once more, amused, James smiled widely before offering his right arm.

Muscles…Cassidy thought nonsensically. She shook her head and erased the thought from her mind quickly.

She took his arm and James, without hesitation, began to lead them towards the right bank.

“Aren’t we going to catch up with your cousins?” Cassidy glanced wistfully in the opposite direction.

“Joining them would defeat dear Charlotte’s purpose of her asking you to ask me to go on a walk. Would it not?”

Cassidy felt her cheeks grow hot again.

“If I have inferred correctly, she wishes us to form an attachment.” James continued.

As he turned to look at Cassidy, she made no attempt to hide the frown his words brought her and met his gaze.

James leaned down towards her and raised his eyebrows quickly, teasing her. “A big one.”

“Pfft, yeah, like that would ever happen.”

I’m currently editing this piece. Going through and adding, deleting, changing wording and dialogue to fit the characters more faithfully. I’m enjoying the work.
