Great finish to day 7 Another hours walk and curry for dinner!๐ What is your โWHYโ? ๐ฅ . We all do things in life for a reason. . Usually to feel pleasure or avoid pain. . But to keep on track to achieve certain goals no matter what blocks or hardships we face, we need to find our own unique โwhyโ. . Without a concrete, powerful โWHYโ that resonates with you deeply, youโre more than likely going to struggle committing to anything youโre attempting that makes you step outside your comfort zone. . Things like transforming your body, quitting a bad habit, doing the inner mindset work, starting or ending a relationship, starting a business etc all the life changing journeys. . Think about it. When youโve made serious changes in your life & committed fully, itโs because youโve been TOTALLY invested into it. . You had a powerful reason - you had a โWHYโ pulling you to do it! . So my challenge for you is to dig deep and find / reconnect with your own โwhyโ around transforming your body & mindset. . As an example. Rather than saying โI need to lose some weight. I just donโt feel good like thisโ, get more specific! . โI want to lose 10% body fat because I want to take back control of my life. I know it will help me to feel amazing again & I know it will make my relationship with my partner stronger & give me that confidence I desire to thrive. It will also bring new energy to me so I can focus on building my business more & achieving the results I know I deserve & am capable of!โ . OR โI want to prioritise my wellness as I want to be a role model for my kids & family & make sure Iโm around for them in the long run. When wanting to lose weight I often feel peoples perception is that you have to "do without" ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Or that you have to eat rabbit food๐ or drink soup three times a day ๐ต๐ต๐ต In reality if you have a good coach who supports you along your journey then YOU should be able to eat everything you want to in moderation ๐๐๐ป Quite often I use this analogy : If you were locked in your room, like a lockdown ๐ณ๐ค scenario and you had 2,200 kcals a day to play with and you wanted a fried breakfast, burger n chips for lunch and a 3 course dinner then your portions would be pretty tiny! But if you had a good knowledge of dietary visualisation you'd be able to make better choices to satisfy your dietary desires ๐ Maybe a bacon & egg sandwich (500kcals) for breakfast ๐ฅ๐ณ๐ A cheeseburger and diet coke for lunch (500kcals) Leaving 1,200 kcals for dinner with could include a steak, salad, baked potato with small pudding ๐ฅ๐ฅฉ๐ฅ๐ฐ With a little knowledge and the right support the body of your dreams isn't that far away. You just need to choose a coach, balanced diet and exercise regime that fits YOUR life. WARNING EDUCATION ON A SATURDAY ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ Just a visual aid that I use while educating ๐ So in this example at 21 stone (134kg) you consume between 2,900 kcal (if you do sweet FA) and 3,200 kcal (if you do general walking/life activities) and we want to get you to 15 stone eventually. Now if we want to do it quickly, based on 3lb a week we'd have to create a kcal deficit of 1,500kcals every day. In reality if you take more than 1000kcals away from diet alone the chances are you'll crash and fail, literally falling off the wagon ๐ So you have to increase the expenditure by the additional kcals that you intend to burn (over what you were doing previously) Potentially at 21 stone and above you might only have to do an additional 10,000 steps of 5 miles walking or 1 hour continuous swimming breastroke to burn the 500kcals required to hit your target. 500kcals physical activity doesnt have to be the latest Zumba class or HIIT session especially if you have health implications.
