This’s how I spend ~80% of my free time. Sometimes, “working” more than 14 hrs a day. Fortunately, house is big enough, so I can change a room corner every year :p * #workstations #myworkingspot #gamedevlifestyle #gamedevlife #showmyroom #mydeskview #indiedevelopers #workingonthegame #indiegamedevs #igofordream #dreamchaser #thishowispentmyweekend #thisismyhobby #workworkworkwork #dualmonitorsetup #treemonitors #sharemypride #dirtydesk #thishowlook #solodev #solodeveloper #solodevelopment #ifollowmydream #workharder #soloindiedev (at DreamChaserz) https://www.instagram.com/p/B29FCgPIQl2/?igshid=743wub9kxi6h

How to make today a good day – 4 Simple to follow steps
We have all suffered from a bad day. Some bad days turn into bad weeks. What we do know is that if you suffer from frequent bad days, you may be stuck in a rut.
Being stuck in a rut is hard to get out of, but not impossible. Applying some easy to follow steps will drag you out of the rut and make you never look back.
The key to having a good day is all about productivity. Being in the Armed Forces has taught me one thing, and it will always stick with me. The 7 P’s (PPPPPPP) - Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.
Every time I forgot something, every time I needed to sleep but still had things to do, I always remembered the 7 P’s, and it sticks with you forever. Remember your goal, remember the 7 P’s and you will get out of that rut. Below is my easy to implement guide on how to prepare for your day ahead.
1. Start your day off right.
Starting your day off right is as crucial as any other step on this list. Wake up on time - preferably early. Nobody likes to rush in the morning. Allow yourself to wake up before getting out of bed, brush your teeth, have a coffee and some breakfast. Ease yourself into the day and good things will follow. If you are working from home, try getting dressed into something other than gym clothes (we all do it)
2. Make that list.
Making a list
of what you need to achieve for the day will not only focus your mind, but you can then order the tasks in priority or time constraints. I have written a blog post on how to be more productive, and share 3 methods that will suit anybody with busy schedules.
3. Celebrate the little wins.
Crossing something off your list
is an achievement. Doesn’t matter how big or small it is. If it was on your to-do list, then you should be proud. Reward yourself with positive thoughts, reward yourself with a snack or a 5 minute break. Giving yourself Positive reinforcement will drive you to cross more off the list and be more productive. And it will feel great when everything has a big X or a line through it.
4. Plan your next day ahead of time
If you plan your next day the night before, you can prepare for it. If you already know what you need to do, you can anticipate any snags, or possible setbacks. By planning your next day it will become a ritual. You will become accountable for your actions during that day.
By following these easy steps you will engrave success into your daily ritual
If you know what you need to do, you can focus your mind on the task ahead instead of wondering what to do next.
Sleep will become easier. Studies have shown that people who are content with their day ahead sleep easier.
Making a list might seem a trivial task. But I promise once you start you will become addicted. I prefer making lists on a Physical Notepad - I think it is more tactile and easy to look at. But if you prefer you can use your phone - The apps we recommend are TheToDoIst
- They have a great interface and have many different productivity methods to try and follow. I personally recommend the Pomodoro Technique (
