A little az drabble bc i’m feeling soft and sweet.

It’ll be a hang out with Rhysand and Cassian, Rhysand and Cassian are in a random argument about something stupid, and while he’s had fun, he always does. After all, he loves his brothers more than almost anything. He’ll be laughing and drinking with them. 

Then the thought pops into his head: 

I miss my wife. 

He knows you’d have a quip to Cassian’s comments, he knows you would humble Rhys, who would immediately humble you back. He has already filed away different things to gossip with you about when he gets home. He knows it is best for relationships to have time with your own friends away from each other, to have some space. But he can't help it.

His chest clenches at the thought of you. 

He knows that when he leaves, he’s gonna find you in your reading chair, with your current read, you’ll sleepily blink at him when he walks into the room. A sweet smile will bloom on your face and you’ll do “gimme hands” at him. He’ll pick you up and plop you in bed, he’ll lay on top of you, his head in between your breasts and you’ll run your fingers through his hair. 

The next day, when you go off to your own jobs and routines, it will repeat: 

I miss my wife.
