Give me your thotties thot on any Ben Barnes character😏😏😏😏

I wanted so badly to answer this last night, but then I got sick so... here I am, better and ready to give you my thotties thot on the one, the only, the legendary, the sweet angel music man I call my husband... Ryan Brenner. And he does all kinds of things to me so forgive me, because this is going to free-write the hell outta this.

First of all, let’s talk about the shallow stuff. When I say shallow, I mean the physical, because there’s nothing shallow about the man’s soul (more about that to come). Ryan’s hair is overgrown. His beard is patchy in places, but it suits him. His clothes may be old and ratty, but the way his chosen lifestyle goes, it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t mind. His pack is heavy and his guitar case is worn, his khaki hat is faded from the sun, and his boots are roughed up from hopping trains. 

Even still, past all that (which bears no importance to Ryan), the man has warm eyes, and he’s genuinely kind. Years on the road haven’t hardened him, and I think that says a lot about his character, who he is and how he doesn’t pretend to be someone he’s not. Yes, he’s alone. Yes, he’s homeless, and yes, he illegally hops trains to get to where he’s going. But he has no interest in being tied down to a life sitting in an office cubicle for a job he dreads every day, a mortgage on a cookie cutter house, student loan bills and insurance payments. He has a soul that is loud and wide open, and free, and it’s never more obvious than it is when he plays his music.

Ryan picks and strums and sings with his heart wide open. Everything falls away-- dirty looks from passersby, the people who stick around to watch and hear him play. Between songs is one thing, but in the moment, when he’s playing, the music is it. He needs it, he craves it, he is it. It’s the loudest Ryan Brenner gets, because he’s not a man of many words.

Yet, that doesn’t mean he isn’t attentive. Ryan notices the little things, details that nobody else normally would. He doesn’t reveal much about his life, or his past. He’s more of a listener, and he can speak volumes without words, just by a look in his eyes or expression on his face. And I think he believes in the goodness at the heart of a person, though he gets jaded sometimes. The rudeness of the way he’s judged for his clothes and appearance annoys him, especially when a rude comment is thrown his way, but he knows that he doesn’t have a desire to even try to connect with those who are so close-minded.

I could go on for hours about this man, but this is already seriously long so I’ll stop while I can. Thanks for asking!

If you could listen to Ryan Brenner play any song that wasn't on the film's soundtrack, which one would you choose? 🎼

Did you know that Ryan Brenner owns my heart? I bet you had an idea. 😉 Typically, I’m not a huge fan of the bluegrass type stuff, but I really enjoy any type of blues, along with folksy stuff. I can’t see Ryan deviating too far from what he knows and loves and I think he’d do an incredible job with Death Letter Blues by Son House. Here is a link if you’re curious!

push off a cliff: Tom Ward from Seventh Son because he’s probably my least favorite.

set on fire: I love Dorian Gray, but him, because he deserves it.

wrap a blanket around: Oh, Lord. Logan Delos. Multiple blankets and warm drinks and just love all around. I want to spoil him the right way-- with love.

be roommates with: Probably, as much as I’d love to be more than just roommates, I’d choose Benjamin Greene, because he can be fun and impulsive, but he’s also quiet and cerebral, so I’d definitely have some quiet time as well as great conversations. And he’s not a slob.

kiss: Billy Russo. Come on.

marry: Well, that would be my sweet angel baby Ryan Brenner. If he didn’t want to settle down, no problem. I’d travel the country with him, happily. Besides not wanting to be tied down to a routine or place, he is perfect husband material, what with being attentive and gentle and not ever really complaining. Marrying Ryan Brenner is just awesome to think about.
