#my son has to see so many doctors#neurology and neurosurgery and nephrology#developmental pediatrician and regular pediatrician#ENT and speech and OT and PT#and I’m slowly losing it trying to keep up with them all#I never expected to have a medically complex child#I love him and wouldn’t change anything about him#except this one gene that cause all of this#he’s fine and I’m thrilled he’s doing so well#but it’s so hard to keep up and I’m exhausted#friends with kids don’t get it#they don’t have to miss work as much as we do to go to all of these appointments#I feel so out there and so ‘other’#I don’t want to diminish their experiences as parents but hearing them complain about some mundane thing gets my blood boiling#his gene is so rare I don’t have anyone to talk to about it#even within the tiny group I found on fb of parents with kids with the same gene#I feel like I’m complaining if I post anything#and I’m having the hardest time dealing with it#I wish I could quit work and just be a full time mom to my son#but we need a dual income#we wouldn’t survive on just my husbands salary#but I am stressed to the max trying to do everything#my husband is out of sick days at work already and it’s only May#like I don’t know how people do this
