Psychonauts/FOP: Tootie’s powers

Been a while since I wrote about this.

Anyway, like I mentioned in the first post Tootie is an actual psychic who’s supposed to be at Whispering Rock, as opposed to Timmy who ended up there by accident. So obviously she’s now learning how to use her abilities, which means I get to list the ones she gets and how good she is at them.

Telepathy- Hands down her weakest power. Up until she got to camp and started getting boosted by the psytanium in the lake she couldn’t use it enough to even begin to improve. The most she can do at the moment is get a vague sense of surface level emotions within a one-foot radius of her head unless someone’s thinking directly to her.

Telekinesis- Fairly average for her age, meaning she still has to rely on the cartoonishly large visible hand projection.

Levitation- Above average skill. She’s still new to it so she’s still relying on projections and can’t rise under her own power, but she doesn’t drift down unless she wants to, and it takes very little energy and concentration for her to maintain.

Psi-blast- Also above average, but she has a weird mental block where her aim is terrible unless she’s in Deep Toot mode.

Mental Connection- She’s so good at it that she figured it out on her own, but she misinterpreted what it was and used it like the corkboard-and-strings thing, so she scrambled her own brain bad enough that all three counselors and Raz had to go in and un-scramble her, and now she’s no longer allowed to use it without supervision.

Archetype- Saw Raz use it, thought it was cool and asked him to teach her how to do it. She’s got two of them. One of them is Deep Toot, who acts exactly how you’d expect a ten-year-old’s interpretation of an old-school hard-boiled detective to act. The other is Shining Brace, a magical girl Crimson Chin oc she made after she realized that Cleft was originally Timmy’s self-insert. Brace is actually stronger than most archetypes her age thanks to the fact that she was designed with superpowers. Tootie can’t manifest both of them at once, and she can’t manifest Deep Toot at all if she’s being Deep Toot.
