if this is too personal you don't have to answer, but i was wondering how your post top-chop recovery went? were there things you weren't expecting that happened and vice versa? i want to get my tits blown off but surgery in general is incredibly intimadating
heya! tbh mine went very smoothly, so I don't have much to say about it overall?
it was my first surgery (not incl getting a couple wisdom teeth out) so I absolutely get what you mean about it being intimidating!! tbh I think to alleviate some of that worry is around having a surgeon you trust the work of, along with researching/getting enough info about the procedure+recovery/risks/realistic outcomes/etc. ik this is classic info but still! (also goes extra if you have certain medical concerns/etc that would play into the surgery or recovery)
tbh the two main differences I remember was that I didn't have a post op binder (thank god lol) and that my drains were like big ol 600ml ones (instead of the lil baby bulbs I see online). but those are more surgeon/hospital choices etc.
tbh I think the biggest adjustment was getting used to numbness? at this point I've got a decent amount of feeling back (tho some muted) but the first stages of not being able to feel anything was very strange. eg at my week post op check in I couldn't feel the nurse taking the drains out at all, and could barely feel the tape coming off etc. (which honestly, whew to both).
this is p general etc so lmk if you have any more Qs! hope this was somewhat helpful ๐Ÿ˜…
I wish you luck w things! ๐Ÿ€
