my OTP: Sarah/Jareth. I thought about writing a whole explanation of how I ship it to make sure no one would flip a shit…and then I decided to save time by not doing that.

character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but i hate: I don’t hate him but I really have zero investment in Hoggle. I’m more invested in the story of the Hoggle puppet and how film history/artistry can be so ephemeral

my ‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’ fave: Maybe those little guys that keep switching Sarah’s lipstick arrows—c’mon, there’s no reason to do that. Funny tho

my ‘beautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than this’ fave: Ludo! He didn’t deserve to get hunted by goblins in the first place and end up mixed up in everything. But he’s okay so everything’s fine

my ‘this ship is wrong, nasty, and makes me want to cleanse my soul, but i still love it’ ship: The fact is, Sarah/Jareth goes here in some flavors. Look. I have loved this movie for almost my whole life. Sarah has often served as kind of a “costume” for myself. I have had her share many characteristics of myself throughout the years and I won’t deny the fantasies I had when I was a teenager. (Am I obscure enough to say this? I hope so.)
