#my parents r so bothered by the idea of rabbit meat for cat food

i mean i guess im also a little hypocritical cuz i will get my cat literally any good animal protein that i can possibly find . nothing off limits like ill get her kangaroo if the kangaroo meat at the pet store is for a good price yk? except rabbit. i won’t feed my cat rabbit because my sister has a pet rabbit and that just feels disrespectful . my parents (funny enough not my sister) get very bothered by the idea of my cat eating rabbit meat because these pets are the closest they’ll ever get to grandchildren so like fair enough. but like its not inherently more wrong to feed a cat rabbit meat than it is to feed a cat duck or salmon meat? they just need predominantly meat in their diet and hopefully it’s obtained in a resource conscious way
