I was going through Akechi's confidant again and I noticed that he says the "You really are..." line to Joker once before the engine room confrontation if the player chooses a specific dialogue option. Now I'm even more curious about what Akechi didn't say.

Since it was confirmed that Joker is Akechi's wish, and he also says the same phrase during the "I hate you" rank up, I think it's plausible that Akechi could have ended the sentence with "my rival," "intriguing," or "the only one who understands me." But I guess we'll never know

or are you a missed potential ryugoroer that thinks actually they're really similar at their structure and would have an interesting dynamic (romantic or otherwise) if given the time and dialogue to interact more in a canon that wasn't interested in portraying them much past like 3 shallow exchanges

I commissioned my dear friend @memewife to draw his version of Akira and Akechi from my RWBY AU series and the path that we've taken will lead us. I could not be more pleased with how it turned out, I especially like how he interpreted Akechi's weapon Locksley.
