was basically the one who raised her brothers and when she grew up she wanted to have kids of her own to spite her father and to prove she would be a better parent

i hc her to be in love with someone before orion, like a first-love kind of thing but i can't figure out who. let's call him Dave for now

okay her and dave started dating when they were thirteen and walburga was very set on baby-trapping him

it didn't work because um. dave didn't want to have sex,,, because he was also thirteen...

but like whatever and walburga loved him anyway and they dated a while more

till walburga psycho sexual family issues came into play and her need need need to get married and start a family got so bad she barely stopped thinking about it

this was around when she was 15-16ish

yeah... the ocd and bipolar and her 49738 mental issues were coming into play

so dave and her separated peak manic episode, sixth year

and she became very interested in the second year, orion black !!!

and um . well orion was like 12 so he didn't have much of a choice but to go along with whatever she wanted

but um. what she wanted was a child but walburga just. could not get pregant

no matter what she did

but they still got married when orion was 17 !

and orion is just dissociating through this btw

and walburga is veryyy angry through this

and orion hates her

but is way too scared of her to actually say something

and then walburga gets pregnant <333

after. like. years.

after her younger brother (who she raised!!!) has had his first child !!

and well. alphard is there too but he's always been weird and wasn't really expected to do anything great so she's not bothered by him

but um !! she's pregnant and it is literally the best day of her life

orion is blending into the curtains btw

he knows the happy periods don't always last very long

which they don't. because walburga gives herself an abortion in a manic episode

it happens once more before sirius is born

and then once walburga is actually pregnant with sirius no one let's her out of their sight for very long

it’s 2:30am and literally no one asked but i wanna talk about vtm ghouls because they are SO EXCELLENT to this day, ghouls:fatal addiction is still probably my favorite piece of vtm litterature, it’s so unique and fucked up. and incredibly sexual. like. the writers just went fucking hogwild with the content.

Ghouls in the VtM lore are one of the those things that are kinda...peripheral? They make for excellent background characters, the stage hands to the vampire main characters. But there’s a lot to them. Like, a LOT lot.

It’s best not to consider Ghouls to just be “lesser Kindred”, but as a supernatural species all on their own.And they are completely controlled by the whims, and personality, of their creators, some of which that creator doesn’t even have any power over.

Like how both human and animal Ghouls will take on characteristics of their master’s clan, over time. Gangrel and Nosferatu Ghouls often transforming into pale reflections of the clan’s curse, animals growing massive in size, while humans taking on unfortunate physical features.

And of course how Malkavian Ghouls, being given the smallest glimpse of The Cobwebs, will have their human personality quirks twisted into full blown neuroses. A man who was previously kinda neat, being given an unfortunate case of extreme OCD, or another who always had a bit of a jealous streak becoming unbearably envious. And those are technically the “mild” cases, what happens when a Malkavian decides to make a Ghoul out of an already violent person, or one who already suffered from depression.

Toreador using Ghouls as “their biggest fans”, and as entertainment. Their need to be adored so huge, that they create Ghouls simply so they can fawn over their master. Or they see someone so incredibly fantastic they simply HAVE to “have” them, usually only to abandon them as they get bored. Which they do quickly and often.

Toreador also known to host Ghoul orgies, where they over-feed their Ghouls with blood and sit back as they go to town on each other. This is a Camarilla and Anarch thing, btw. You’d think that would be a Sabbat move, but nah son. Tbh what Toreador Antitribu would do to their Ghouls would be way worse...if the Sabbat didn’ look down on Ghouls anyway.

Speaking of Sabbat. Lasombra, unable to see their own reflections, using Ghouls to put on their make up, clothes, brush their hair. And if they do a bad job, they are usually beaten to death. Lasombra will often “take” the faces of their Ghouls with fleshcraft learned from the Tzimisce. Literally taking away any identity they have. And let’s not even start with the Tzimisce creating literal objects out of their Ghouls, or molding them together into abominations.

And all the while, through all of this, no matter how they’re treated, a Ghoul only wants one thing: to make their master happy. It’s the only thing they care about. A former family man will murder his spouse and children with his bare hands, if his master told him to.

But the thing abt Ghouls, is that while they are this obsessed with their master, and feel a feeling that can only be described as incredible love and affection, they ALSO still maintain their “rational” side. And that’s what’s so terribly cruel. The man will kill his spouse and children, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t still love them, and continues to do so. That he doesn’t think about them every day. That he doesn’t feel a deep, DEEP hatred for his master, along with the love.

All ghouls hate their master.

To be made to love someone so deeply, that their approval and attention is all you want, but you know it’s technically artificial, and more importantly, your master does not feel the same. They will not die for you. They will not bleed and suffer for you. They have the power to take everything away from you at a moment’s notice.

it’s no wonder that the few Ghouls who have escaped and banded together are some of the few groups that Kindred fear, because how can you not fear a group of creatures that hate you so deeply and only want ONE thing: your blood.
