I would have loved the idea of rescuing Rolan from the Shadowlands, then offering him a bed at your camp to rest up before heading back to the inn. Showing him you don't have to be enemies. Having the option to comfort him and promising to get his siblings back to him safe.

I ship these two, so I have a personal HC that he was so angry at the inn because he allowed himself to get distracted, because of Velvet, which caused his judgement to become impaired out on the battlefield. His siblings were taken because he let his guard down, and he should have be more focused on his main goal, which is to get him and his siblings to Baldur's Gate. He then lashes out in an attempt to feel better and make her hate him in the process. If she hates him, it'll be easier to forget her.

thank you kieran! i have so many OCs, but decided to go with Velvet.

her drow father (Velmyrr) and twin sister (Satin) were murdered by her human mother (Guinevere). her mother was having an affair with a much wealthier nobleman, who only promised to marry her once she got rid of her "baggage". Velvet was meant to die as well, but survived. she got into necromancy with the hopes to bring them back, which unfortunately wasn’t possible.

she once made a deal with a night hag, hoping to learn new techniques while practicing necromancy, but instead was tricked into stealing the souls of six unfortunate people. this caused her eyes to go from pink to permanently blacked out. she's been self conscious about it ever since.

one of her favorite hobbies is collecting flower petals to place in a book of her sisters that she carries around to this day.
