could we get lore for professor callenbach? what's his deal?
I’ve been meaning to introduce this guy, here you are
Tumblr media
Professor Alexander Callenbach.
Lore: Initially an engineering teacher at a local university, Prof. Callenbach’s life changed when his experimental radio started picking up strange broadcasts from unknown sources. Piecing together a rudimentary theory surrounding these messages, Callenbach managed to discover a possible source: a mysterious central figure known simply as the ‘MC’.
After increasing references to UFOlogy and paranormal phenomena began cropping up in his class lectures, Callenbach was eventually ‘forcibly retired’, and became more and more secluded.
Convinced he was the only person who understood and cared about these possible threats to humanity, he threw himself headfirst into his preparation for various unnatural disasters, finding comfort in one particular radio show along the way…
In his early to mid sixties, but still fairly physically fit
His dismissal from his university position was a decision made purely by the higher ups: his students generally considered him a helpful and engaging (if somewhat eccentric) professor and were sad to see him go.
His equipment kit consists of a modified portable radio and a touch-tone telephone capable of sending and receiving signals over surprisingly long distances, as well as (in theory) beyond the boundaries of our universe. Design-wise, it’s partially based on the TF2 medic’s medigun pack (a lot of my scientist characters take inspiration from the medic, actually…) and the infamous Power Glove (its so bad).
His equipment has a rudimentary form of artificial intelligence- he affectionately refers to it as ‘Toni’.
Drives an old red Chevy pickup truck that he usually uses to cart around his heavier equipment.
Retains his professorial demeanour and comes off surprisingly approachable and sensible (until he starts talking about ancient aliens, of course)
He attempts to control his extreme paranoia by being prepared for every eventuality (though is a little too much of an ‘absent-minded professor’ to do so effectively.)
Accomplished violin player (if only in his spare time)
Was probably involved in early Kirk/Spock fan fiction
Deeply admires (read: has a massive crush on) the host of Enigmatic Enigmas of Esoteric Enigmas, a radio show that only seems to broadcast on AM frequency and showcases various purported conspiracy theories, mysteries and supernatural occurrences. Callenbach eventually manages to work up the courage to call in (or rather, actually speak instead of breathing into the receiver) but he can never quite explain himself properly. The host, Morris Hammond, is quite patient with him, all things considered (possibly because he’s his only caller).
Develops an intergenerational friendship with Dylan Livwright, playing the Doc. Brown to his Marty McFly.
Is aware of numerous other supernatural characters and events, especially the Ant Folk, Cabinet Man and Sweet Bod.
Excellent with engineering, terrible with technology.
General appearance was probably unconsciously based on the titular character from Professor Fizwizzle, the first game little me ever encountered that let you make your own levels- what fun!

Exploring the Mysteries of Caddo Lake: Celine Held and Logan George
Tumblr media
When you first sit down to watch Caddo Lake, it doesn’t take long for you to realize that you’re in for a ride. The opening scene—dead bodies in the water—sets a chilling tone that immediately pulls you into this eerie, haunting world. So, naturally, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sit down with the filmmakers behind the magic, Celine Held and Logan George. Spoiler: they’re just as fascinating as the film itself. https://youtu.be/bWmfMwXIONQ A Start That Grabs You I jumped right into it, asking about their decision to begin the film with such a visceral moment. Held shared, “It's like a promise to the audience...we're going to hit some crazy energy levels." George echoed that sentiment, adding, “We wanted to set the tone early, so you know this isn’t a slow burn. It’s a thriller, and we’re going to take you on a ride.” That they did. Between the mysterious bodies and the gator scene (which had me checking under my couch), Caddo Lake has a way of playing on those everyday fears—like something lurking just beneath the surface. Tapping Into Everyday Fears When I asked if they were tapping into those small but relatable fears, Celine Held noted, “We wanted people to see bits and pieces of themselves in the story, to feel like this could happen to them. But ultimately, we wanted to tell a really human story.” Logan George chimed in, “It’s a thriller, sure, but at its heart, it’s about grief, loss, and reconciliation.” With such grounded themes, it’s clear that the film isn’t just about scaring the audience—it’s about making them think. The supernatural elements, like the portals and strange occurrences around the lake, only amplify the deeper emotional narrative. Folklore and the Unknown - Caddo Lake* feels like it’s dripping with folklore, and that’s exactly what I wanted to ask next. The lore in the film is intense, but was it based on real legends? “There’s so much actual myth in the lake itself,” George revealed, “but we didn’t tap into it directly. We were more fascinated by the idea that the lake is so vast and secluded, there could be anything out there. You get lost so easily.” That sense of disorientation plays beautifully into the film, making it feel like you’re wandering in the fog, unsure of where reality ends and the unknown begins. Navigating the Complex Layers of Caddo Lake There’s no denying that Caddo Lake is complex. From the overlapping timelines to the supernatural occurrences, it’s a film that demands attention. I asked them about the challenges of constructing such a layered narrative without losing the audience along the way. Held explained, “The key was ensuring both protagonists were always emotionally in sync, even if they were in different timelines. That kept the audience tethered to their stories.” George added, “Whenever we lost that rhythm, it was a sign that something needed changing in the script.” Shyamalan’s Influence Of course, no conversation about Caddo Lake would be complete without discussing the role of producer M. Night Shyamalan. “We came to him with a fully realized script,” Held shared, “but his involvement was crucial, especially in post-production. He helped refine some of the film’s most intense moments, bringing in his expertise with mystery and suspense.” The influence is palpable, and it’s not just in the twists. The pacing, the reveals, and the atmospheric tension all have shades of Shyamalan, but Held and George’s unique vision shines through. The Emotional Core Beyond the thrills, the film packs an emotional punch, especially in its final moments. I asked them how they crafted such a bittersweet ending. “We knew we didn’t want to tie things up neatly,” Held said. “Grief and loss are messy, and we wanted that reflected in the story.” George added, “Ultimately, we wanted people to walk away wanting to call their loved ones, to remind them that these relationships, even when fragile, are what really matter.” Final Thoughts - Caddo Lake* is a film that leaves you thinking long after the credits roll. It’s a thrilling mix of supernatural suspense, emotional depth, and folklore, brought to life by two brilliant filmmakers. If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re missing out on a beautifully crafted tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat, while also tugging at your heartstrings. As Held said, “We hope you want to call your mom after watching.” Read the full article

TMA/Pokemon AU Lore Dump
This is for a series of drawings I’m working on right now (tagged on my blog as "tma pokemon au).
First things first: Pokemon canon is extremely loose in general, and differs depending on whether it’s based in the games, the anime, or the manga. This AU will be set in a world that uses a hybridized games/manga canon, combined with a tasty shot of realism.
The result is a version of the Pokemon world that lends itself very well to survival horror -- packs of wild creatures with elemental powers roam rural areas, kept at bay only by humans commanding beasts of even greater power. Pokemon training is an extremely valuable, but extremely dangerous profession. The study of Pokemon abilities thus becomes something vitally important, from the chemical reactions that allow fire types to generate high heats to literal telekinesis. (If you’re interested in this premise, I highly recommend googling “Pokemon: The Origin of Species”.)
So, while marrying a horror podcast to a franchise about taming colorful monsters might sound like a strange choice at first... yeah. It’s still a strange choice. But, the introduction of pocket monsters to the Magnus world doesn’t have to compromise the horror, and I think it could actually add to it in interesting ways!
With that out of the way, let’s get into the lore of this au (specifically the setting and the interaction between Pokemon and the entities)!
The setting will be based far more strongly on the real-world UK than Galar, the Pokemon equivalent. This reduces the baggage that comes with trying to stay true to the culture and geography of Galar, which could drastically alter the plot (in Galar, “Scotland” is in the south, while “London” is in the north, for example).
In this universe, cities are densely occupied by people seeking stability and protection with “gyms”, organized groups of Pokemon trainers who defend their city from the threat of wild Pokemon. Rangers serve a similar, but less centralized, function for rural areas.
None of the main cast other than Melanie and maybe Daisy would self-identify as Pokemon trainers. They each have Pokemon of their own for companionship and help in emergencies, but their partner Pokemon are for the most part not battle-trained. This is why they each only have a handful of Pokemon: any more than three would become an unnecessary expense for the layperson.
Most trainers are between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Teenagers are generally encouraged to undertake a journey lasting for between a few months to a few years -- this ensures a strong new generation of trainers and gives kids a taste of independence (assuming they don’t, you know. Die).
Of the main cast, Jon is one of the few who never went on a journey of his own. At least one of his parents died via Pokemon attack, and his grandmother was not eager to send him out into the wild. That suited him fine; he always knew he wanted to be a researcher, anyway.
Pokemon, as a general rule, are much more likely to serve entities than to be their victims (the opposite is true for humans). Within that, some Pokemon species are more likely to be monsters/avatars than others.  For instance, ghost types are manifestations of the End, the Espurr line serves the Eye, and all Pokemon serve the Hunt in some capacity.
The Magnus Institute is a research center with the stated purpose of investigating strange occurrences specifically related to Pokemon: a Paras’s spores infecting a human host, a group of tame Bisharp suddenly snapping and murdering their trainers, a Houndoom whose flames can’t be extinguished, psychic-types that seem to be able to communicate no matter the distance between them...
They get a lot of fake cases, as in canon, so have a similarly dismal reputation -- and it doesn’t help that they don’t even conduct scientific research on Pokemon.
Over time, the archives squad starts to puzzle together the truth. This is a slow process, made worse by the fact that they’re studying anomalous animal behavior in addition to the paranormal. Eventually, they begin to realize that these phenomena are not limited to individuals, but point to species-wide trends: their companion Pokemon have motives all their own, and in some cases are following otherwordly agendas that run counter to the needs of their human partners.
Case in point: Jon’s Espurr. Though he welcomes it into his life, it is much cleverer than a normal animal, and knowingly manipulates him into the Eye’s service. Similarly, Melanie’s Honedge encourages her natural inclination towards the Slaughter.
Next up, I plan to write a timeline of how the presence of Pokemon interacts with canon events (a.k.a. I choose the time and place for everyone’s cute animal companions to die tragically).

Contract {Mafiafell} Lore Post
🌼Howdy! I have had this itch to write up something that has been stewing in my brain for months. I know for a fact that you all enjoy my personal universe lore posts and I am sorry I have not done them in a bit. I haven’t been able to draw so that has prevented me from typing them up. That said I really enjoy these so I am going to do them anyway and add the visuals later! I hope that is alright with you all. Now that we got that disclaimer out of the way... there is a lot to get through sooooo let’s jump right in!  *Due to this being a hellish lore there may be triggering or disturbing material ahead. Please be mindful of the warning! Thanks!
------------------------------------------------
Universe type: MafiaFELL
Relationships: Red, Frisk, Gered
Alternate “Nicknames” Info:
Red: Cuban
Boss: Luciano
Gered: Costello
(Various others)
Main Plot Synopsis: During the era of the 1920s and set within a film noir aesthetic. Frisk is a small PI (Private Investigator) hurting for cash and jobs in the big city. In an effort to make a better name for herself she begins to investigate the rise of crime and strange occurrences happening around her. There are suspicious disappearances, missing person reports, and extra violence that couldn’t be missed by human eyes, right? It just does not seem to add up. Determined and with nothing to lose she is able to put together a series of connections by using some none too savory contacts.
She finds out that the potential epicenter of these events is tied to owners of one of the swankiest and popular clubs in town. It is also suspected that it is a speakeasy but that is not what has drawn her attention. It would appear that the family running the place has been a mystery to nearly everyone even though they have been around longer than they can recall. No one knows what the owners look like. It is all highly speculative. Photographic proof says otherwise as she tends to find a set of figures at each scene. They wear impeccable pinstripe suits and fedoras but... it could be anyone, right?
Regardless of the information that she has collected, she decides to go undercover to the club, Ossibus Ignem (Fire and Bone in Latin), in order to confirm her suspicions. She decides that auditioning for one of their most prized gigs is a good way to get into their inner circle and perhaps get a glimpse of her potential employers. Frisk wants the truth and nothing but the truth even though this plan is incredibly risky. Even if the brothers, as she finds out later, are not the cause of these events they could still be nefarious. No one likes a spy, especially one within their inner circle.
As she enters she realizes that it is packed like the rumors have told her. She does not get out much due to her job but she is dressed to the 9s in a beautiful dress of the time ready to put her plan into effect. Instead of waiting around she heads to the bar where she is spotted by the seemingly charismatic bartender which she manages to strike up a conversation with. She tries to pick his brain over a drink that he generously slides her way. It would seem that the establishment is already breaking the laws of prohibition. That much is already confirmed.  So how have they not been caught?
He seems like the friendly sort, platinum blonde hair and a dazzling smile. Frisk being a PI calls into question how perfect he actually looks but puts the thought off. She could have sworn his eyes were far more vibrant gold than what was humanly possible. When she glances at him again however they appear to be light brown instead. Things are already strange as she continues to speak with him only to find out that he is, in fact, one of the brothers that work at the club. It turns out to be a family business. He introduces himself as Gered Fontaine.
Eventually, their conversation is cut short by Gered taking her to the back of the house where presumably his brother is waiting for her to do her little gig. She paces back and forth nervously in her dressing room only to not watch where she is going, running into a tall individual. His pinstripe suit, fedora, and bright red tie cause her to pause only to be greeted with a shiny golden toothed smile. The strange thing about it is that it is shaped into a fang/ canine tooth. It is a little off-putting but the stranger introduces himself as the younger brother of the group, Cuban Fontaine.
Someone that she had no doubt is in all the photographs that she had collected. Ultimately he seems nice enough telling her that if she needs anything to let him know and to take her time with her audition. He does appear to have a mischievous flirty side to him especially with her which she tries to distance herself from. He does not make that easy as she can tell he has already taken an interest in her.
She performs and it would seem that she has a pretty singing voice that leaves the entire crowd roaring in applause. This obviously catches the eyes of the brothers who are now more than interested in her and she gets the gig. Other than a few of the accidental slip-ups the boys seem fine with her being around them. She doesn’t pose any threat. After all, she is only human.
Frisk begins to enjoy her undercover position but finds herself slipping further and further away from her original objective. The Fontaine family put her up in the loft above the club and treat her well. She learns more about them and more about the family itself. They are pretty open with what they do not even hiding the crime lord status that they are under. Being associated with the brothers is dangerous and therefore they want to make sure she understands what it means to be under the name of Fontaine.
She is surprised by their honesty and immediately they gain her trust and vice versa. That is until she realizes why she is there in the first place. After one of her performances, she manages to get into one of the boy's rooms, snooping around. Only not to find what she would be expected of a bunch of crime mafiosos. Instead, she finds arcane symbols, tomes, and various other occult items that would lead her to the conclusion that they are in fact dealing with something far beyond the mortal realm. At least that is what she thinks.
Only to find a secret room with even more concerning items. One such item is a series of documents showing the various victims she had been investigating. On top of that information, she finds even darker dealings than she suspected and papers scrawled with a script she has never seen before. As she turns to leave the room she freezes to hear Cuban’s deep baritone of a voice. He is none too thrilled as he interrogates her but she can’t see his face. All she can feel are skeletal like claws at her shoulders. It’s all in her head, right?
When he turns her around she is faced with Cuban looking quite human explaining to her the predicament she now finds herself. As her confusion grows he keeps her cornered only to be given two choices. One is that she binds her soul to him in the form of a contract and the other, death. Obviously, she chooses to live which Cuban is delighted by. After this event she is able to see the true forms of all the demons in the club, having a panic moment seeing them mingling so easily with unsuspecting humans. Cuban, Luciano, and Gered are the most terrifying being skeleton looking demons. From then on she works in the club learning more and more about their true selves.
Frisk’s Contract:
Frisk’s soul is unique as it appears to be linked to the past ancestry of mages. Due to this her soul is far more powerful and can utilize more of their own abilities. The first contract she ends up bound to is Cubans. In exchange for her life as well as their own protection of her, she works at the club as their little songbird. She becomes an undercover agent to infiltrate the boy's enemies or rivals since the human soul has the ability to mask demonic presence. This deal gives her more than she bargains for like gaining some of Red’s abilities. She ends up with a second contract to Gered for other reasons (spoiler). In addition to using these abilities, the contractee also is able to wield the demon's weapon of choice. Each one corresponds to a specific demon. The higher level the demon the more powerful.
Reds:
(Weapon: Beast- skeletal magic fire beast claws)
(Primary Familiar form: Cat)
1. Teleportation
2. Gravity/levitation
3. Hypnotic/manipulative song magic
4. Beast summoning (aka Gaster Blasters)
5. Being able to read the thoughts and souls of others
Gereds:
(Weapon: Reaper- A skeletal scythe with a blade made of magic) (Primary Familiar form: Raven)
1. Silver tongue- able to talk anyone into anything
2. The ability to see through the eyes of the dead
3. Inhuman agility
4. Second life
5. Dark magic/ curses/hexes/corruption
Fusion:
Fusion is an interesting scenario since Frisk is contracted to not one but two princes of Hell. She gains many abilities and one of those is being able to fuse her mage soul with that of her demonic counterpart(s) creating a fusion of herself and their own hellish forms. The soul, however, can only stand so much and if it goes beyond its limit the human soul could be damaged permanently. This form is dangerous for any human soul.
Hiding in Plain Sight:
One of the reasons that humans are none the wiser is due to the fact that the demons use magical glamorous to appear human as well. They can also manipulate the mind through abilities like compulsion or illusion. The only humans that would be able to see through this guise are humans that are mages or ones with strong souls. Those that are contracted also are able to see through these guises if they so choose. It can be overwhelming at first.
Frisk’s Ancestry /The Mages:
Humans in this universe do not believe in the existence of monsters very much like our own world. They are nothing but stories and myths. Demons are the exact same. There is a story that may allude to the fact that demons were created from monsters as punishment for humanity's evil. That is neither confirmed or denied. What is known is that demons used to walk the surface regularly a long time ago.
Humans in their quest for power made contracts with these creatures in exchange for their souls, something that demons covet to gain more power themselves. Those that made these contracts became mages, having demonic magic infused within their very being. As every demon is unique so were the souls. The mages were formed after 7 survivors managed to break their contracts retaining the magic within their souls. As they began to have children that magic too was passed down. Humans with any type of magic are extraordinarily rare and one mage soul can rival over 1000 regular human souls. Frisk appears to have a connected blood relation to one of these surviving lines.
A Hellish Civil Battleground:
The truth of what is going on the surface can be summed up as a demonic civil war. The hierarchy of Hell dictates that the most powerful of demonkind are the elite and as with any type of power it is highly coveted. There are three categories of demons in order of hierarchy.
The seraphim (aka Princes/King)- The royalty of Hell. These are demons you do not want to mess with. The elite. In total there is a prince for one of the seven kingdoms of Hell. There are also uncrowned princes as well. These demons can do as they please and enjoy their revelry up on the surface.
Imps (Monsters)- born denizens of Hell that can keep a foothold on the surface for only a short time. They need a bind such as a contract to keep a presence. The soul determines power/magic. They have to be summoned and contracted or else they are banished back to Hell. They can also possess human bodies but the body will start to degrade and decay after some time.
Changelings (Humans)- changelings are demons stuck in Hell and can never set foot on the surface. They are most typically souls that were broken in the firey pit and twisted into demons themselves. Hell’s royalty does not want to destroy the surface. In fact, they rather enjoy it, though they can make contracts it is more for amusement then power. It is said that demons consume souls to fill the emptiness they once lost but that could just be a myth. It is a fact, however, that the consumption of human souls will give them power. They do not wish to scare off potential delicious human souls so they do not senselessly cause havoc or if they do they clean up their mess.
*The imps are why they are in the city. Their job is to keep them in line but unfortunately, the Imps have started to go rogue and have no regard for rules or order. They have been making contracts with one human to keep a foothold on the surface only to slaughter others mindlessly and causing havoc. This makes it difficult for humans to want to contract for fear of being slaughtered as well as beginning to shift the balance of power. The imps are gaining more and more power due to the souls they are now consuming at an alarming rate. The king is none too pleased hence the Princes being tasked to clean up the surface. It just so happens it is during the era of the ’20s. Making them into mafia crime lords.
How to Break or Nullify a Contract:
Each contract formed is by a person to person basis but there are some things that can break or nullify the contract.
 1. The demon no longer desires the soul- Rare but possible. If the demon contracted no longer wants the soul they can break the contract if they so wish but that means that the human's magic will still be maintained and able to be passed to their children.
 2. The human is killed before the stipulations of the contract are fulfilled.
 3. The demon violates the contract set forth.
 4. The human soul is no longer classified as human.
*note the way that Hell works and functions follows my own Hell lore. A post that I will make shortly and is an addendum to this world I have created.

Attack on Titan Chapter 115 Review
youtube
This series keeps on giving. Whether it’s insane action, crazy drama, or emotional backstory, it has plenty to offer. It also contains a great mystery to many elements of its lore. This chapter wasn’t action packed and yet, I was very thrilled by its content. It’s going to be for a while before we see the inevitable end, but the build-up, the suspense, and the twist are enough to keep the audience excited and anticipated. Bottom line, this chapter was outstanding.
Before the chapter takes off to the wonderful journey, we have a short scene with Hange, Floch, and others, where they are very near to the location of the explosion that sent the fans blazing. It’s there to let the fans know that we are in for a rude awakening, one that would spark controversy. We will get to that fairly soon. Fans, myself included, have been aching to know whether Levi and/or Zeke have died or not. We first go over with Zeke and to answer that question, yes, he is dying. He did take on the lightning spear, so Levi wasn’t kidding. With that said it begins a very emotional “sendoff” for Zeke that truly got me sympathetic.
Let me start by saying the presentation is astonishing throughout the scene. Not only the artwork is clean and solid, but the visual and paneling are stellar with deep meaningful display. I grasp the heartfelt and sincerity of Zeke slowly passing out with his last vision of unachieved dream. Even the horses that slowly collapse got me emotional. Zeke’s fading words are depressing to read. Not only he’s dying, but he sounds deeply regrettable. It’s really the moment of farewell.
The flashback ensue and for many, it means his time is here; it’s the end of Zeke. I definitely bought it. That said the flashback does answer many questions, including ones we didn’t know we wanted. It picks up from the last time where Zeke and Tom discussed about eradicating Eldians. I thought the flashback last time was splendid and touching, but this last piece nailed it.
It was this moment where Tom gave him words that would set Zeke’s goal permanently. One info he didn’t share with Marley is about the War Renunciation Vow that can be broken. He confirmed it that the Founding Titan is present there and can work into their plan. Zeke cannot obtain the Founding Titan, but he can support the Founder and convince the holder to their plan. It’s the matter of trust that Tom counted on Zeke to make it happen. If so, then their dream can come true. Sadly, it would be their final moment.
As fans know already, Zeke is the Beast Titan currently, which means Tom must have been consumed. I thought this part is pretty sad. Tom was set to be eaten by Zeke to pass down the Titan. Although he won’t be around to watch Zeke, he will be in the afterlife to support and watch him to make their dream come true. Zeke agreed to carry on, addressing him as someone he wanted to say proudly: dad. That hit me hard. I really love this backstory between the two. I won’t say Zeke is forgiven, but I can really understand and emotionally connect.
Yelena has stated before that she has seen Zeke or Beast Titan as her God, so the following scene is not really new. The only noteworthy of it is how much she has been influenced by him, easily manipulated in a sense. Actually, this would be beneficial to the later scene. The point is she has been converted drastically. I don’t know if Zeke feels guilty or not, but it doesn’t matter much for he has an army to back him up.
One of the answers that I didn’t expect to get but quite welcoming is how Zeke learned about his biological parents through the report on Eren. Reiner and Bertolt reported the details on Eren and how they confirmed he’s undoubtedly the holder of the Founding Titan. He also learned about Grisha and where he was last seen. That’s how Zeke learned about everything, which is simple enough; however, my interest came from his reaction to it.
It was agonizing for him to learn so much about his family’s whereabouts after his departure. He also realized his mother was changed into a Titan and Eren confronted it. We all know how it ended; killed by his half-brother. It pained him to know his douchebag father was alive and made a new family. Could you imagine the pain that spawned from your own father carry on to another? Care or not, that’s heartbreaking. What’s also heartbreaking is he believe Eren shared the same fate as him. No wonder he told him back in the last arc that Grisha isn’t worth believing. That’s strikingly touching.
The last piece of the flashback is the most interesting one of them all. It’s when Eren and Zeke have a conversation back at Marley before the festival. It is very interesting in many ways. To begin with, the true plan is revealed and it’s actually from Zeke himself, hence the first part of the flashback. In other words, euthanize Eldians. This is very strange, but more on that later. Eren had a decision to make and what persuaded him to confront with Zeke was the moment from his father’s memory.
It’s finally explained on what Eren has seen during the ceremony where he holds Historia’s hand. If you recall, he went through many visions of the event where Grisha killed the Royal Family to obtain the Founding Titan. He finally witnessed it and from that moment, he gained a new thought about his next action. He revealed the tragic event to Zeke, essentially caught on the notion of Grisha’s awful act. It has some disturbing images to display with eerie words such as killing those children like a bug. To top it, he even went far as saying as killing them was a necessary for his existence. Translation: killing the Royal Family save everything. That’s messed up.
He did note that Grisha’s action was still a mistake as well as his own existence. It’s like we gone back to Uprising Arc Eren before his rebounding development. Because of the memory, he agreed to Zeke’s plan. This is really strange. Isn’t Eren all about accepting life or being blessed to live? Shouldn’t that be Zeke’s character, hence being the foil character to Eren? Is he serious about it or is it a lie? It is possible to be a lie since lately, it’s suggested that he is the same as always when looking upon life. If so, that is sad that Zeke is only bought in, but what choice does he have? Eren holds the Founding Titan.
The closing scene is pretty sincere. They couldn’t hand shake in agreement, so catching the ball would do. It’s a great symbolic of passing down the torch from what he shared with Tom. Whether Eren is truly hiding his actual intention or not, Zeke felt like he has bonded with a brother he never thought he wanted. Basically, it’s a bond he has grown fond of to cherish. Seriously, it would suck if Eren is lying, which has a strong chance. Zeke has grown greatly to me as a character. Now, he’s going to die; unable to fulfill that wish. It’s really sad.
Then a mysterious girl appears in a vision.
I didn’t understand what was going on. I thought the girl was someone he has long forgotten or cherished or something. It wouldn’t matter much, seeing Zeke has died or very near. His dead expression did sadden me. Then a random Titan appears, from the ground I assume. It opens its guts for some reason and place Zeke’s body inside. That was a strange moment. I really didn’t know what to make of it. It was just strange, but it won’t be the end.
The fall of Survey Corps continue with an interesting insight of the mental game. The opposing force, The Jeagerists, are taking over with more soldiers surrendering or even change side. Yelena is now feeling like the big boss with her overly confidence attitude. All she was missing was to say, “Excellent.” To think, I actually trusted her. Pixis keeps his head up despite the situation, but more importantly, disappointed with some of the soldiers who changed side. Some changed side because they believe in Eren; some changed side because they are enslaved by the poison they drank, Zeke’s spinal fluid to be exact. Shame.
The interesting part is despite Pixis being a hostage, he still outclass Yelena in their mind game. Pixis is mentally strong while taking shot at Yelena, who is mentally weak from insults. On the surface, she supposed to be dominant, but Pixis keeps bringing her down by showing her contradictions and misguided belief. He put her in her place when they talked about saving the world, when in reality, it’s only saving an island. Pixis is still the man; show her the reality.
That said the visual shows her looking pretty rough around the edges after logics were thrown at her. It’s clear Isayama deciphering her as a mental case; one in which needs a reality check. She’s perhaps mentally scarred by following the self-created cult with Zeke or Beast Titan as her God. I don’t know if Pixis will help her change her view or not, but as long as she stands by her belief, she is guaranteed to witness her early tragic fate.
The next scene is…very interesting…in a controversial way. I’ll be completely honest with you. I was spoiled earlier because it was a hot topic around the time. I am of course referring to Levi’s status. Before I share my own two cent, let’s go over the scenario. Hange and others arrive to the scene with a random Titan on the ground and Levi. Now, it’s time for the verdict on Levi’s status. Hange approaches to him and confirms it to everyone: he’s dead. Popularity poll? What’s that?!
The display of Levi’s body is gruesome to say the least. He has shards on his face, a really bad scar, and he lost some of his fingers; fingers to use the blade to hook on or trigger. Hange confirmed his status, but Floch insist to check his pulse. A strange phenomenon occurs from where that random Titan is at, but I’m going to skip that scene for now. Because of that occurrence, Hange takes the chance to take Levi and dive in to the river to make their only escape. That’s the last of them for this chapter. Levi is dead as the spoiler suggested.
I don’t think so.
The setting seems more favor to a lie or maybe even misunderstood. Hange looked at him and that could have been reasonable enough to buy in. What got me thinking twice is Floch. He wants to check the pulse to see if he is dead or not. One guy wanted to shoot Levi in the head, but it’s only Hange that told them he’s dead. Was it to prevent kill confirmed? Also, Hange was pissed when Floch suggested to check, as if to say, “Shit, once he knows, he’s done for.” Lastly, why would Hange take Levi with her if he’s already dead? You can argue that she wants the body for proper burial, but that doesn’t seem likely.
In my opinion, this is a good way to handicap Levi for this scenario. It’s no wonder it was shown how godly he is or was when he took on Zeke. This way, the Survey Corps would have a tougher time to take on Eren and his faction. Not to mention, he’s not only out cold, but he lost his fingers; essential in combat. You could argue that he will die in the next chapter, but the chance is about a half. He’s an Ackerman and he was caught indirectly, which is vastly different from Zeke, who ate the explosion directly and critically.
It’s uncertain at this time, but I do believe Levi will live. Now, how can he recover? I can see Hange and Levi going to Historia’s location and get his treatment somehow. Will that be enough? Probably not, but time will tell. If anything, I love the setup because it had everyone on their edge of the seat. Sure, some may stop reading because of their favorite character has died, if that’s the case. It’s suspenseful and the next chapter could make it or break it.
Now we return to the scene with that random Titan and it’s very interesting. Everyone caught the wind, literally, and they see the man they have been searching for: Zeke. Basically, he is resurrected. I really like the symbolism of his awakening; from heavy rain for his tragic end to the ray of light for his renewal beginning. It’s as if he truly is the God that Yelena has visualized. Hell, he’s naked as well, so it couldn’t be a coincidence on the symbol. It’s very interesting because of how it happened.
According to him, he met up with a little girl, who was in the vision earlier. She saved him by reconstructing his body in the sand. Could this girl be the original Ymir; the one from the legend? What’s enticing is the scenery Zeke was in; the one he called “Paths.” It’s the same vision as what Ymir saw after consuming Marcel. To be honest, I thought she was literally in the sandy place with a beautiful sky, but I thought wrong. It’s a special world that only two (so far) have seen. To them, it’s a bliss. Zeke is moving forward to the plan and without any distraction, he will meet with Eren in no time. Very intriguing…
This begs a lot of new questions that managed to remain under the established lore. Zeke has seen “Paths” like Ymir, but what exactly triggered it? Is it simply just wake up after their “sleep?” Why is it only those two so far? There could be more but on record, it’s them. Is there a change within Zeke, like has he changed his approach or everything remain the same? For that matter, why that little girl saved him? The way how it was illustrated highly suggest that Zeke is truly the key to everything. Amazing, because that’s what Isayama once mentioned about his character. He’s sticking to his word; I like that. So many new questions, but this arc has become very interesting. But why stop there when you can have a great exciting cliffhanger.
We’re back to where Gabi is held prisoner. She is still perplexed about her status and “devils.” I don’t blame her for feeling confused, especially since she wasn’t able to complete her development when Eren interrupted. Speaking of Eren, there he is, being the tyrant he is, but he does offer her a cooperation in order to save Falco. That’s surprisingly nice of him, though the mention of Sasha’s killer does irk me. Does he hold a grudge against her? She is frozen by his presence; he definitely reached boss status. Sucks to be her and the guards are just watching her suffering.
Hey, wait a minute. Is that Pieck in the background? That guard looks like her. That or Isayama is out of female character’s design. Out of nowhere, that said guard straight-up stabs the other guard right in the throat. Holy shit, it is her! Pieck! Damn, what a badass entry. No wonder she has tons of fans; in and out of story. Now this is a conflict that I thought I would never see; Pieck versus Eren. This is going to be damn exciting. Poor guard though. He’s just dying there from the stab to the neck; no one there to save him. Shit happens I suppose.
All in all, this was an outstanding chapter with plenty of unlocked secrets and new ones. It’s told in a very emotional story that could have been a wonderfully tragic sendoff, but there’s another plan in mind that has its own exciting road ahead. The best part is how it was presented. Whether you like the artwork or not, even if it was drawn really well, the visual presentation is fantastic, deciphering the characters’ behavior and emotional turmoil. Also, how it was paneled felt very meaningful. The ending left me excited, though Levi’s situation is alarming. I believe he will pull it off, but we’ll see. Whether you dropped the series or not, the road ahead shows a sign of great promises.

Info and Junk about my Power Rangers Fanfiction
⛔WARNING: SUPER LONG POST⛔
Like I said in my last post, I've been working on the story for two years and between that time, I've worked on the title, the characters, villains, and everything in between. And without further ado... here's the lore of the story:
The official title of the story:
Power Rangers Wing Commanders
The Plot:
Coming from another dimension, Dark Sparrow and his army of space pirates are planning to conquer earth and enslave everyone that lives on it. Now, it's up to a new team of heroes to take to the sky and save the day. They are, Power Rangers Wing Commanders.
The Setting:
The story takes place in the city of Finn Hill. A massive city in Southern California where humans and anthro animals co-exist with one another (and no, there's no beastiality). The city is also known for its landmarks and it's famous Mayor, Pheobe Tsubaki.
Tumblr media
Locations (so far):
Finn Hill High School: The main high school where Jeremy, Roy, Adrian, Kayla, and Lucy go to when they're not out saving the world from intergalactic villains and monsters. Like every other high school-they got tons of classes to go to, piles of homework to do, and dealing with annoying school bullies; all five of them almost have the same classes together and during lunch or study hall, they would always discuss strategies on how to take down one of Dark Sparrow's monsters.
W.C.O Headquarters: The Rangers' main HQ and home base of the Wing Commander Organization (or W.C.O for short). The base itself is a massive helicarrier that hovers over the entire city 24/7 and monitors for any monster attacks or unusual activity; the Rangers' zords and wing-cycles are held in the cargo bay. Once they've been activated (either by the rangers or by Professor Foxworth), they get transported to the launch bay and prepare to launch.
The Finn Hill Mall: A huge mall that is located in the downtown area of the city and is the main hangout spot for Jeremy and the others to chill and relax after a long day of being superheroes. Inside the mall, there's a local music shop that goes by the name of "Music Fever" which is owned by Kayla's father and uncle, along with that, there's also a smoothie shop that is called "Green Paw Smoothies" in which, is owned by Adrian's family.
Dark Terrarium: This is Dark Sparrow's massive spaceship and his base of operations. Inside this ship, Sparrow and his minions hatch up ideas and plans on how to destroy the power rangers, how to conquer earth, and what monsters to create. Also, the ship itself is packed to the brim with state-of-the-art weaponry and a deadly laser beam that can decimate planets.
Side Characters (So far):
Nelson Skuller/Billy Blake/Mira Thompson: A trio of school bullies that pick on the Rangers on a daily basis and just for the fun of it. But whenever they get confronted by a monster or by a couple of Nexors...they usually turn tail and run away, or even attempt to fight the odd creatures (and fail miserably). And whenever they try to pull a prank or a stunt, it always backfires on them.
Principle Bernstein: The head principal of Finn Hill High School. Due to being a brown bear, some of the students and other teachers tend to find Mr. Berenstain both "intimidating or scary". But in reality, he's a pretty kind and gentle mammal-but if he catches you causing trouble or skipping class...his mood will automatically change and he'll end up giving you either a good scolding, two weeks detention, or a possible school suspension.
Kelsey Hudson: A 16-year-old border collie who is an old childhood friend of Adrian's and a huge fan of the power rangers. When she found out Adrian was a ranger, she completely lost it and was happy for her friend (she even has a blog dedicated to the heroes); but whenever she sees Adrian or the others get hurt during a battle, she gets super anxious and worries about them a lot. After the monster is defeated and everything, she gets reassuring comfort from the rangers to let her know that they're okay and both her and the city is saved once again.
Episodes (So Far):
1. Wings of Change Pt 1:
An intergalactic space pirate named Dark Sparrow and his alien armada have arrived on earth and are on the verge of taking it over. Until an unlikely team of heroes comes together to stop them.
2. Wings of Change Pt 2:

25. Carnival Mayhem Pt 2: With the remaining rangers under Jackal the Clown's control, it's up to Roy to conquer his fear of clowns and save the day.
26. The Younger Years: While fighting the time clock monster-Jeremy, Lucy, and Adrian got turned into kids. Now it's up to Roy, Kayla, and Ashton to change them back.
That’s all I have for right now. I’ll make a separate post for the main core team of rangers, the main villains, and other main characters. When I get the time, I’ll add more info and whatnot to this post. So until next time, have a good day/night, stay awesome, and may the power protect you!

Nyth’s List of Witchy Podcasts
Tumblr media
So, anyone who knows me knows that I’m pretty big into podcasts. Being a professional dog walker, I have a lot of time to be able to listen to all the crazy stuff I want while I work. Since this is my witch blog, I wanted to post of list of my favorite witchy/pagan/spiritual podcasts so other practitioners out there can enjoy. So here they are! These are podcasts that I have listened to all the way through, or at the very least, completed large enough chunks of them to trust that they are well researched and well made. I plan to add to this as I listen to more shows as time goes on...
Like with anything, take what you hear with a grain of salt and ALWAYS do your own research, follow your own beliefs, think hard, and decide for yourself before following any advice or info given in these shows.
The Podcasts
Across the Hedge  A new podcast about living Heathenry, the first few episodes of this are rather rough, as it appears that the hostess is still finding her groove, but by episode four, each episode pleasing and interesting to listen to, packed with information regarding culture and society, house hold witchy tips, herbs and oils, and a nice roundabout description of what it means to be a practicing Heathen in a modern world.
Ariel’s Druidic Craft of the Wise Lectures While the background of the DCW is still debated to be sketchy or not, Ariel comes from a very loving and understanding place in his lectures and provides insight on how to better manifest positivity and effectiveness into our daily lives. Based around the Seven Hermetic Principals, they are insightful and plentiful, as there is a lecture for just about any life problem.
A Witch’s Primer Also created by Ariel comes this list of episodes geared towards teaching witchcraft to anyone wishing to learn in a nondenominational structure. While the style he teaches still feels rather Golden Dawn/Wicca, he gives a nice rundown of everything from the very basics like tools and colors, to thought-form creation and mental manifestation. He even includes meditations to help teach grounding, centering, meeting spirit guides, and trance states.
Chasing Foxfire Some of you may know the infamous Cory Hutcheson from the podcast New World Witchery (if not, see below). In this brand new podcast, Cory displays his deep Doctoral knowledge of folklore and mythology. Even with only three episodes so far, this podcast is wonderfully done, and packed with information and interviews with experts on lore from across America. It is also soothing to listen to!
Down at the Crossroads My favorite podcast, hosted by Chris Orapello, a guy from my area with whom I share mutual friends! DatC has sadly moved away from it’s earlier format and now consists of long interviews with pagan and witchy folk from around the nation, all stuffed with phenomenal information between tracks of excellent pagan music. However, his first 32 episodes are amazingly well done, and are filled with information from historical lessons of the occult, hermetics, the essence of magic, interviews, and his well written and deep personal thoughts regarding the magical life.
Inciting a Brewhaha The loud mouths and introspective minds of Fire Lyte and Velma Nightshade come together in a completely unedited, fun, and very debate filled crossover-podcast, in which the host and hostess deeply discuss magical ethics and practice. While the show is sometimes a little crazy because of there being no script and no editing, their conversations are always hilarious and thought provoking, even when I don’t necessarily agree with them.
Inciting a Riot Fire Lyte hosts his own controversial show in which he conducts well researched and well thought out news casts of news from across the world and in paganism. He also holds interviews with great minds from the pagan/witchy community, debates with friends, and reads poetry relevant to recent events. While energetic and loud, he has great insight and is very well read, and I get a lot of my more accurate news from him.
Lore Alan Mahnke hosts a beautifully written and well directed podcast full of amazing, historical stories regarding strange and eery occurrences across the world. From spooky tales about ghost ships, to nail biting tales of serial murderers, each episode is about true events and how their details have have gradually changed over time to make them sound like modern day horror stories. With a great voice and an exceptional music score, this podcast is a must listen, even if you’re not a witch or pagan.
Magic and the Law of Attraction Madame Pamita of the Parlour of Wonders and “Hoodoo How-to” hosts her very own show that is perfect for magical practitioners of any phase in their learning. Whether you’re brand new to practical magic or a weathered old crone of the craft, Madame Pamita makes this show easy to understand and filled with great information, spells, and witchy tips. With a fun and catchy 1920′s style theme song, and a voice like butter, it’s a good place to start if you’re interested in great sounding witchy podcasts.
Myths and Legends  This show is great for anyone who loves mythology and folklore, not just pagans and practitioners. It covers mythology from all over the world, including Greek/Roman, Norse, Celtic, Russian, Native American, and Asian myths, the original tales of familiar stories like Cinderella, and even modern stories that stem from ancient tales that few know about. There is also a “Creature of the Week” segment that talks about one interesting creature from the folklore of the many cultures across the globe, which is always a hoot. All told in the quirky and fun style that Jason, the host, puts together himself.
New World Witchery Around since the the early 2000′s, Cory and Lane are two magical partners that discuss everything you could want to know about American Magical traditions such as Hoodoo, Powwow, Appalachian Folk magic, and the few other traditions born in the early days of the USA. With a laid back, light-editing structure, this podcast is experimental an full of interesting discussions about spellwork, ethics, and folklore. With yearly Samhain, Yule, and Beltane specials, full episodes of professional folklorist, Cory, telling American folk tales, and each episode covering a new and interesting topic, this podcast is packed with thought-provoking information.
Reiki Nomad A wonderful little podcast for those interested in learning about and practicing Reiki, this short series goes deep into the history, lineages, styles, and modern uses for Reiki, as well as discusses it’s diversity in both the spiritual and non spiritual worlds. Perfect for beginners and/or Masters looking for new ways to approach the Japanese healing art.
The Wiccan Read-Along Podcast Though I’m not Wiccan, I have to say I really enjoy listening to this podcast, if not simply to travel back to my days of beginning with Scott Cunningham. Still somewhat new, this podcast acts much like an audiobook for three (and more to come) books based around Wicca, though the reader, Phoenix, often has great insight and her own blurbs and helpful criticisms regarding the books she reads from.
The Wigglian Way A very full podcast of music, magic, news, and spirituality from two Wiccan’s living in Canada. Their show is full of interviews with authors and artists within the pagan community, news within the pagan and witchcraft world, and hilarious conversations between themselves and their friends. A long time podcast this show has hundreds of episodes to pick and choose from on any subject you might want to explore.
Witches BrewHaha The second of my two favorite podcasts, hosted by the magnanimous Velma Nightshade. With a perfect radio voice, Velma takes to the air with a show full of great segments on crystals, herbs, practical magic, book recommendations from her enormous library, and thoughts about news and articles in within the pagan community. She is sassy and smart, fun and fabulous, and she and her coven mates who join her on episodes are all full of wonderful advice and personality.
There we have it! Feel free to add your own in the reblogs!
