Had a little brain fart earlier: looked at my smart watch and saw that the temperature outside was 28°. I thought, "Hey, that's not bad! I thought it was supposed to be cold today."
It was 28°F (-2°C), not 28°C (82°F). I don't know why I thought it was set to Celsius...
#i usually keep it in fahrenheit because america#but sometimes i do set it to celsius. usually so i can tell my non-american friends the weather#and also because i would like to be better at understanding celsius#but if someone asks me what the temperature is they're more than likely expecting the answer in fahrenheit#i mean. i do have a bit of a feel for it. enough to know that 28°C is unseasonably warm for january#but it's not like i can do the conversion in my head#my level of fluency is basically: <10°C = cold and >30°C = hot#maybe i *should* keep it in celsius...#blog
