Tonight's dream was *chef's kiss*, because it had an interesting concept & some very cool characters. Let me explain:
I had a hard choice to make & I think it was between staying with a man that wanted to marry me & start a family OR breaking up & moving in with my friend, trying to heal my broken heart & soul. I say "I think", because I do not remember the very beginning of it tho I know that something happened, but I forgot it.
At first I could clearly see that I had chosen to stay with the guy who wanted to marry me. Ewan enters the stage, he was that guy. We lived in one of those old houses that in 1800 or so belonged to a wealthy family & it was made into apartment in recent times. You do not share anything with other inhabitants except for a hallway and a common entrance. I hope you get the picture?
Our place looked lovely & there was a garden outside our windows, different trees and bushes as well as a few old gazebos that were not in the best condition. Sometimes Ewan would get very sad, it felt as if he was very traumatized by something. I remeber having him in my arms, stroking his hair and whispering that it's ok, I'm here. He was very loving, actually. Such a selfless and sincere guy (I know there was a moment when he said "You finish first, you are the priority" and....) However, he wanted to start a family so bad. He even cried & went to a garden outside, saying that he never had a normal family & all he wants is to have one of his own. To have babies.
There's a hole after this episode as I do not remember anything more, but the next image is him, sitting by the same window & holding a child in his hands. Rocking the little bundle slowly & looking in awe. But then there is me... and I feel so miserable. This man that I love & that human he's looking at, so enamored... It's like they are so distant & the whole image is even a bit disgusting to me (why?? I have no idea...) I remember feeling defeated. The last thing that had stayed in my memory is that I was sitting with that baby, Ewan kissing my shoulder while saying "thank you for this life you've given birth to"... but me wanting him to shut up, tears coming to my eyes. I know I was thinking that how strange it is that we never met our neighbors tho. Two apartments were taken & I've heard voices as well as people coming in and out, but never seen them...
Then! My memory cuts to a very similar apartment tho not as spacious & probably with more small spaces instead of big one. I am in what appears to be my room, laying on a big bed with closed curtains & face damp from crying. It's dark and I am feeling so low & hopeless... An unknown woman with a bubbly personality opens the door and says something like "angel, you need to eat". I guess she's my flatmate? Cue to her laughing in her room (a tiny one) as she says we should have to go upstairs & visit our neighbors. Which probably means we were living on the first floor & they had an apartment in the attic. I agreed and we meet two older ladies who are widows & living together in this small, but very cozy place. They have a big window, floor to the ceiling, and the view is quite interesting: there are a few big trees, another apartment complex & a shop (now... this does not sound logic, because we only see a small park outside our windows & it does not seem like there are more houses around, but that's a dream so f*ck the logic lol). They say that they have their evening tea and watch outside the window, it's their favorite activity. We get along very well & I know that we develop a habit of helping them a bit: my flatmate brings them newspapers and fresh bread every morning whereas I buy groceries for them once or twice a week.
Later a guy starts helping me out while buying groceries & I start developing feelings for him. I don't see his face, but the feeling is so.. I don't know how else to describe it, it's like something is blooming inside of me. What is worse is that he's the grandson of one of the ladies & they somehow know about the feelings I'm developing. Me? I'm trying to push these feelings away, because I'm convinced that it's one sided & it would only bring me pain. Then there's a blank space once again as I don't remember anything and the next memory is that I am writing about how I'm feeling about the guy in my notebook when the lovely flatmate asks me to help her with something. After that I come to my room & there he sits, with his jeans only & a towel on his shoulders... the guy I'm developing feelings for. I see his face for the first time and it's no other than my local dude Arnas. Worst part? He's looking at me while holding that notebook in his hands. I swear I could feel my heart dropping to my feet, a cold sweat running through my spine... because he'd read what I have written. About him. Even in the dream it felt horrible... Somehow I ask him why is he there & he says that there's no hot water in his grandma's apartment tho he was ready to go to shower. So the old lady asked him to go to our flat and ask if we have the same problem. Yet I still stay there, horrified and ashamed that he found out about my feelings. But to my surprise he smiles, comes closer & slowly hugs me in a way that I can feel his whole body (I know I felt his firm chest with my nipples despite the fact that I had a t shirt on). And from there things develop very quickly (he undresses me, telling that he's sorry for reading that page, but at the same time he's grateful, because he's been thinking about me almost all the time). I find myself under him, thinking that his skin is so soft & even physically feeling him... well, going at it. Last things I remember are him, looking me in the eye and asking "Ar tau viskas gerai?" (are you ok?) and "neskauda? ar tau patogu?" (does it hurt? are you comfortable?) *
It's kinda funny that he spoke to me in our language since I never hear it in my dreams.
The craziest part: The reason I didn't see my neighbors when I was living my life with Ewan is because... it was me living with the flatmate & older ladies upstairs. A. k. a. my life if I had chosen to end things with Ewan. Basically living my parallel life next door to myself, in an alternate universe. I mean... 👀
*p. s. this specific part made me kinda emotional & I know exactly why... but I won't elaborate on this.
p. s. 2. No, but it would really make an interesting movie scenario!
#i'm still feeling the aftermath of this dream...#and specific emotions#this was wild to be honest#personal

The Yuus of Blue Apts. Chapter 13: Roommates?
It had been four days since Yuya’s ex-girlfriend had broken into his apartment, and Yugo was still trying to get over it. He had actually seen the ex, and he honestly didn’t understand why Yuya had stayed with her for so long. She looked like she didn’t take care of herself and Yugo could smell her from across the room. She’d smelled just awful. Though, as Yuri pointed out when the blunana mentioned it to him and Yuto later, it was possible that she’d taken care of herself when she was with Yuya and stopped after the breakup when she’d realized that she’d lost a good man.
The police had taken the ex away, but not before she’d tried to trash Yuya’s apartment. Fortunately all she managed to do was trash the kitchen before the cops showed up. Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri had pitched in to clean up the mess and restock everything, much to Yuya’s surprise and gratitude. But all four of the boys were quite stressed out about the situation.
“I don’t know, maybe I should move apartments,” Yuya sighed during the neighbors’ weekly game night after he came back home. The four of them had been having game night every Tuesday night for the past four months, ever since they’d met in person that fateful day when Yuri had gone grocery shopping. “It might be easier than just changing locks. I mean, she was willing to come in uninvited and trash my apartment. I wouldn’t put it past her to try to break in even if I changed them. But I would really miss you guys.”
“Well, a new apartment might be nice for you,” Yugo said. “And uh, my lease is up next month. If you do decide to move apartments, maybe we could be roommates?”
Yuya blinked in surprise, then smiled. “That could be fun! I’ve grown pretty fond of all of you these last few months. Being roommates could really be a nice experience. Plus, if I do move apartments, I might be able to find one that allows pets. It would be really great if my cat Core could live with me. I miss being able to play with him every night.”
“Well, since the topic is up, I was considering moving too, before I became friends with you all. I was so tired of the paper-thin walls and waking up every night to the upstairs neighbor performing Riverdance every night or whatever they keep doing. It’s so annoying. I really only stayed because I liked talking to you all. If you guys are going to move and be roommates, can I join you?”
“I wouldn’t mind!” Yuya and Yugo said at the same time, then blinked and started giggling. Yuto smiled and then looked at Yuri. “What about you, Yuri?”
“Well, I’m not gonna lie, the idea of being able to split rent for an apartment instead of having to pay the entire thing myself is quite appealing,” Yuri admitted. “I’d love to be able to save a bit more money. And the idea of rooming with you three is also very appealing.”
“Great!” Yuya said happily. “We could totally find a nicer apartment, with four bedrooms, and live together! Maybe we can even find an apartment that doesn’t have paper-thin walls!”
“Sounds like a plan!” Yuto said, as Yugo and Yuri hummed in agreement.

Context for my last post and small lore drop
When I was in school, from seventh grade to graduation, I did odd jobs under the table. I cleaned aquariums and did yard work for neighbors, I worked in a local slaughter house, eventually got into taxidermy and processing game animals, worked with the county to pick up road kill, worked on farms, sold art work, worked at my first (now deceased) step dad's auto repair shop - stuff like that.
I made decent money, it wasn't awful and I generally made my own hours.
What w a s awful was the way my family looked at it all. It wasn't stuff i could put on job apps because it wasn't 'legit'.
Mind you I was making a couple thousand a month combined from all this, most of the time I was on six to seven jobs a month for only 3 - 5 days a week.
I'd contribute about 25% of my money to which ever household I was living in that week (mom or dad), would spend some on tools and junk for work, a little for my own whims and then save the rest.
Before my stepdad passed away and shit r e a l l y hit the fans I had a sizeable chunk of money in my account.
After he passed my mom didn't really wait long to get a new boyfriend, it was within weeks of SD's funeral she came out and said she was seeing someone.
My SD passed away from an aggressive cancer. We watched him become Skeletor over the course of two months before he died. He was one of the coolest people I know - stood up for me when people remarked on how I dressed etc, taught me auto repair, encouraged me to do my jobs, all around a kick ass dude.
The guy my mom started seeing was the polar opposite. He bullied and threatened my older sister until she left out of fear then he started in with me.
We got into a fist fight because he threw may cat across the room for sitting in the garden window (a window that protrudes from the house to put potted plants in).
When he started abusing my mom, we got into even more fist fights which often ended with him leaving and coming back. Mom was sooooo enamored with this man she drove down our street at sixty five miles an hour while I clung to the truck door and step rail.
When she stopped and let me in I admittedly slapped her.
Eventually he fucked up. They went out drinking and a girl I knew from school was staying with us because her mom kicked her out for being a 'whore'.
He started whailing on my mom, threw her down the basement steps and sarted beating her in the basement - my friend ran next door to call the cops. I went downstairs, put my hand through the glass gun cabinet door and racked an unloaded shotgun.
He shit his pants and locked himself in the bathroom upstairs.
Both of them were taken to jail for the night and my sister and I picked her ass up the next day.
Five days later my mom suffered a massive heart attack, because of her bf I'd quit my jobs because she couldn't be alone with him. If I'd had been working she would have died. She had a month long hospital stay, my savings went to pay household bills and get her medication.
I spent three years of my life protecting her then caring for her for her to tell me she never wanted me when i was born and admitted to doing things when pregnant to try and home abort me - she didn't have Pre-eclampsia, I was c-sectioned otta her two months early because she didn't want me to turn out like my sister.
My sister has ADHD and a touch of the 'tisim - which same tbh.
For bonus context: In school my sister was so awful and unruly that if I had her teachers they treated me the same they did her. Like shit.
I was the proverbial black sheep for being Goth and holding odd jobs etc.
Now my sister's got two kids and is horrifically abusive to her husband - I hang out with her at times to get her out of the house so he can have peace.
Maybe, someday, I'll elaborate on my sister but, this is what you get for now.
Oh yeah, TLDR I worked under the table for cash for YEARS and my family dunked on me for not having a 'real' job, continued to be shit ass over it even while supporting one of them and now I have a 'real' job they're pissed I don't spend any real time with them 🙃

She knew living in the mountains wasn’t going to be easy. She especially knew that her husband worked really hard for them to have a wonderful life. Everyday, he drove up to the cabin he was working on for the two of them to live. He’d leave early in the morning and come home really late at night. ‘It’ll all be worth it in the end.’ She always thought as she worked around their tiny apartment in the city.
Iwaizumi recently got a job at a lumberyard in the mountains and the drive was too far from him to make daily, so he proposed an idea to his wife about building a cabin closer to his work.
“You know where you go, I go, right, Haji?” She asked him one night after he had come home from work.
So day after day, Iwaizumi worked diligently for her while she managed everything at home. Since she was a freelancer, it would be easy for her to move. They started saving all their money to make this happen. She was the one who drew the layout for the cabin and managed the decorations. She sat at her little desk in the living room when Iwaizumi came home one day with a smile on his face from ear to ear.
“Baby, guess what?” He asked, coming to her side.
“Yes, my love?”
“I’m almost done. In a month or so, we’ll finally have our home!” He said excitedly, pulling her up into a hug. He wouldn’t let her go with him to help or anything. He wanted her to be surprised. “Do you have the decorations ready?”
“I do,” she said, leaving his grasp and getting the paperwork for him. “You can at least let me shop for you.”
“No, no. I want you to be completely surprised.” Iwaizumi smiled at her. She rolled her eyes a bit and smiled back at him.
“Fine fine. Whatever you say.” She playfully hit his chest. “You’re too good to me, Hajime.”
“I only want the best for us baby.” He said, grabbing her hand and placing a soft kiss on it.
“Baby. You know you’re all I need, right?” She said looking up at him. He smiled softly at her and leaned in for a kiss.
“I think I’m the lucky one here.” He kissed her again.
“Let’s go to bed. You need to rest.” He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder, earning a giggle from her.
“Not without you baby.” He said, smacking her ass and going to their bedroom.
❅❅
The time had come for them to finally move. She packed their apartment while Iwaizumi finished up the final touches on the cabin. Everything was moved and she stood in front of the cabin, blindfolded and her hand in his.
“Is this necessary?” She whined out to him.
“Yes. I want you completely surprised.” Iwaizumi said, squeezing her hand.
“Okay. You ready?” She nodded her head furiously.
“So impatient.” He removed her blindfold and she gasped at the cabin in front of her. It was perfect.
“Baby.” She turned to look at him, her eyes welling up with tears before she threw her arms around him. “Iwaizumi Hajime, it’s perfect! You’re perfect! I love you so much!”
“You like it? Are you sure?” He asked, a bit unsure of himself.
“Haji, I love it so much! You’re the best husband a woman could ask for. You built this for us and I couldn’t ask for anything more.” She said, smiling at him. “Now come on. I can’t wait to see it!”
She grabbed his hand again and pulled him to the front door. She opened it and gasped again at the inside. All the decorations she had written down were bought, and everything was set up just like how she laid it out on the blueprint for him. She excitedly walked around the living area first, gazing at the beautiful fireplace in the middle of the wall adorned with beautiful furniture.
She then went to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen sink had a window above it so she could see the front yard into the woods. She then went upstairs and looked around at the four bedrooms, as she went to the master bedroom first and stared in awe at it. It was everything she wanted and more. The windows went from top to bottom and overlooked the mountains just like how she wanted it. And last but not least, the fireplace in the wall across the bed, her only request. She smiled and looked out the windows at the beautiful scenery. She was thankful their neighbors were far away so no one would be able to look in and snoop. Iwaizumi leaned on the door frame, with arms crossed and watching his little wife in awe at their cabin.
“Hajime.” She called to him, her hand extended. He walked over to her and grabbed it, pulling her to him. “Thank you. Thank you for everything.”
“Thank you as well.”
“Why are you thanking me?” She quirked up at him.
“For staying by my side through it all.”
“You know where you go, I go, right, Haji?” She asked, saying what she said before. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her.
“I love you.” He said, pressing his lips to hers.
“I love you, too.” She said, kissing him back.
❅❅
A month went by and they were fully settled in their new house. Winter had come, so Iwaizumi was outside chopping for firewood as snow started to fall. She stood at the kitchen sink, humming and washing some dishes as she watched Iwaizumi chop for their firewood supply. She wouldn’t deny that he looked absolutely hot chopping away, with the way his arms tensed as he brought the axe down, and the way his sweat dripped down his forehead while he wiped it away with his flannel.
She couldn’t help but rub her thighs together as she continued to watch her husband chop all the wood. One particular swing made him growl out at the wood and the glass slipped out of her hand, breaking it into pieces. The water splashed her apron and on the floor. She felt her cheeks heating up when she looked back out the window and saw Iwaizumi smirking back at her. She quickly grabbed the towel and cleaned up the water on the floor when she heard the door open and the sound of wood being dropped in the bin by the fireplace. Footsteps came behind her as she stood up.
“Spill some water there, babe?” Iwaizumi asked her, smirking down at her.
“Yeah. Silly me. I’m going to go change. Be right back.” She shuffled away from him and ran up stairs. The room was warm from the lit fireplace. She quickly took the apron off and took off her shirt when she felt hands go around her waist and lips on her neck. She gasped when Iwaizumi sucked on her sweet spot.
“I saw you watching me the whole time I was chopping wood.” He whispered into her ear, making her shudder. “Is my slutty girl that needy?” His lips attached to her neck again while his hands roamed the front on her body. His hands slipped under her bra and groped her breasts, prompting a moan to escape her lips as she pushed further back into him. “Ahh, someone is needy, I see. Why don’t I take care of that?”
He turned her around and crashed his lips to hers. Her hands went up to the buttons on his flannel and she started unbuttoning it, pulling it down his back and running her hands up and down his chest. She raked her nails softly across his chest, causing him to groan. His hand unclasped her bra and he tossed it to the side, his hands moving to grab them. He pushed her back gently as she laid down on the bed, breaking the kiss as he grabbed the top of her skirt and pulled it down. He shrugged his jeans off and climbed back on top of her.
“Did my little slut enjoy seeing me chopping wood?” He asked as lips lowered down to one of her nipples. She arched her back and let out a loud moan as his mouth connected to it. His other hand moved rather slowly to her clothed pussy as he sucked and drew circles around her bud. He bit a little harder, making her gasp.
“I asked you a question.”
“Yes Haji, I enjoyed watching you chop wood.” She moaned out as his hand started to rub small circles on her clit. He moved lower and could feel the wetness in her panties.
“Already so wet baby. All from me chopping wood.” He chuckled out and pushed her panties to the side, dragging his finger slowly up and down her slit. A whine left her mouth as he continued to tease her. Her hand went to his hair and she pulled a bit.
“Stop teasing me. Please!” She let out a loud gasp when she felt him plunge two fingers into her.
“Is this what you wanted? For me to fill you up?” He inserted another finger only to pull them all out, making her whine loudly. “Beg for me, slut.”
“Please Haji, I need you. Need you to fill me up.” He smirked before sticking his fingers back into your pussy. She moaned loudly when his mouth went back to her nipple, this time biting it. His fingers continued to pump in and out of her as she pulled tighter and tighter on his hair. She yelped when his thumb came up and started rubbing circles on her aching clit. She felt the knot in her stomach as she started to buck her hips up. Iwaizumi smacked her thigh, making her still.
“Please, let me cum. I’ve been a good girl, Haji. Let me cum!” She moaned out to him.
“You have been a good girl but I don’t want you to cum just yet.” He pulled his fingers out again. She felt tears start to well in her eyes at the loss of his fingers. He stood up and pulled her panties completely off as well as discarding his underwear. He pumped his cock a few times before going back on top of her. He grabbed her legs and pushed them up to her chest before lining his cock up with her pussy. He teased her by just putting his head in, the tears flowing down her face.
“I won't tease my little slut anymore. She’s had enough.” He said before snapping his hips into hers, bottoming out inside of her. She gasped at the sudden fullness that turned into a moan as he started to thrust his hips in and out of her. Iwaizumi clenched his eyes at the feel of her pussy squeezing his cock.
“God baby, after all the fucking we do, you’d think you wouldn’t be so tight.” He groaned out making her moan.
“S’full Haji.” She managed out, the tears still falling down her face as Hajime fucked her. His pelvic bone rubbed up against her clit and she felt the knot returning.
“I can feel it baby. Your pussy is tightening on me. Do you want to cum now?” She moaned out a yes, and Hajime let go of her legs and wrapped them around his waist. She clung to him as he started to pound into her, her nails scratching his back. She felt the knot getting bigger before it snapped.
“I’m cumming, I'm cumming! Oh god—Hajime!” She cried out as her orgasm crashed down on her. He picked up his pace to chase his own high as her pussy milked his cock. He grunted out her name as he spilled his load into her. After a few small thrusts, he pulled out of her, picking her up and taking her to the bathroom.
Once they cleaned up, she snuggled into his chest while the fire roared and the snow fell outside the window. She sighed happily as he kissed her hair.
“I love you, Hajime.” She whispered, her eyes closing slowly.
“I love you too.”

Tomorrow is looking up to be - absolutely terrible. Can I beg you for some RWBY or FFXV snippets, please?
Of course! I know it is the "tomorrow" you speak of but lemme see what I can dig up-
Team Gremlin:
There was silence for a long, long time. Nothing but Ruby’s sobbing and Yang’s pounding heart and the fear that pressed down on them from all around. Formless, but not nameless. Then she heard the stairs creak and for one moment Yang was sure that “Salem” was coming upstairs to get Ruby.
But then the door opened and Yang saw Dad’s boots, “Girls? It’s okay. Come on out.” Yang didn’t move, Ruby just sobbed a little louder and clung tighter to her. Dad sighed and bent down to peer at them, “You heard all that didn’t you.” He looked … not mad, but stressed. Maybe scared, and that made the fear worse for Yang. Yang clung to Ruby, her precious baby sister with silver eyes that no monster should be able to get to, and nodded. Dad’s face pinched, then he gave a smile that even she could tell was fake, “Come on out, girls. It’s okay. I promise. That was all just- that was adult talk okay? You don’t need to worry about that until you’re older-.”
“Ruby’s eyes,” Yang bit out, “R-ruby has Mom’s e-eyes.”
“It’s okay, Yang, Ruby, I promise. We’ll take care of it-.”
A creak of wood behind Dad and he frowned before straightening up and turning to face whoever was there, “I’ll be down in a minute, just let me-.”
“Taiyang,” Professor Ozpin sounded weirdly calm, more calm than Dad did, “may I speak to them?”
“…I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
A sigh, “I am well aware of your opinion on this matter, Taiyang, and I respect it. But they have already heard enough to be terrified. Telling them to forget it now is not only impossible but potentially worse than talking to them. You made your stance on this matter very clear, but that does not apply to your children if it will put them in danger.” Professor Ozpin’s voice softened, “Either I speak with them or Qrow does, but please. Let one of us help.”
Dad didn’t move for a long time, then his boots made for the door, “Fine. But don’t drag them into this more than you have to.” A deep breath, “Girls? I’m going downstairs to check on your mother, if you need anything, just shout, okay? Professor Ozpin is going to talk to you for a little bit. He’ll be very nice.” The last bit was said in the same voice he used when warning Zwei not to dig holes in the yard.
Dad’s boots disappeared and fancy black shoes came closer. There was a pause, then, “Would you prefer to stay under the bed?” Ruby whined and Yang glared without a word. She didn’t know what was going on, but Dad seemed mad at Professor Ozpin and everything was scary and so yes, she wanted to stay under the bed. The tip of his fancy cane tapped the floorboards a few times, then there was a hiss and a whirr of gears like from her parents’ gear and the tip disappeared. With a grunt, he knelt down and then lay down on his stomach like even Mom rarely did. He pillowed his chin on his crossed arms and it was so strange seeing a fancy, famous person lying on his belly on the floor of Ruby’s room that Yang snorted despite herself.
Professor Ozpin’s face crinkled into a faint smile and it looked real and warm, “Hello there. You must be Yang and Ruby. I am Professor Ozpin, I’m a friend of your uncle and your mother. Can I safely assume you heard the most important parts of that conversation? The Grimm and the silver eyes and,” the briefest hesitation, “Salem?”
Ruby finally pulled her face away from Yang’s shoulder to whimper, “I-is she gonna take Mom away and m-make her a Grimm? Is she gonna t-take me?”
“Ah. You have silver eyes,” Professor Ozpin murmured, then his face fell back into that faint, warm smile, “Your mother is alright now, and now that we know what is going on, we will be much more careful. I promise, I will do everything in my power to keep your mother and you safe. But to do that … I would like to tell you a story, and you must both promise me to never tell it to anyone. For the safety of you and your mother.” They nodded, hesitantly, even though Yang certainly didn’t want to hear anymore scary things today. But if it would help keep Ruby and Mom safe-.
Professor Ozpin’s smile faded, but his eyes were still warm, “Once upon a time,” he began, and they listened intently as the man with white hair slowly outlined a story that sounded right out of a fairy tail.
...
Always I Dreamed verse:
Summer had no idea what Professor Ozpin had been thinking, making her the leader of Team STRQ. Then again, the only other real option would have been Taiyang, and as much as she enjoyed his company and was coming to think of him as a good friend and teammate, he wouldn’t have been able to handle the Branwen twins.
Not that Summer was much better at handling the Branwen twins.
They hadn’t done anything to get the team in trouble, but she didn’t know how to deal with them. Taiyang made sense, even if he had a few oddly adorable hangups on things like “modesty” —they were two guys and two girls living in the same room, she didn’t really see what modesty had to do with anything when they weren’t out in public—. Taiyang understood her when she tried to … bond with the team, tried to get them to be more than just four strangers living under the same roof and tackling the same assignments in class. Raven and Qrow on the other hand…
Every time she suggested a group activity, they watched her like she was going to bite. Like they couldn’t fathom the point of learning more about or bonding with anyone outside themselves. Taiyang had suggested it was an out of kingdom thing, but Summer had lived outside the kingdoms until five years ago, and she had never acted like that. Her family hadn’t either. That feral behavior, wary distrust and eerie staring in the middle of the night like even the room wasn’t safe to sleep in without a watch wasn’t anything like what Summer and her family or neighbors had grown up with. The only ones who had acted even similar had been-.
Oh.
Now that’s an idea.

Blood of My Blood verse:
The next one was a whole month after Grandma Crepera had first appeared and only a week after the scary man with the mace, but three times was enough for Dionysus to be able to immediately tell what was happening when he blinked his way to awareness in a dream. He looked around uneasily, afraid of being yelled at by someone again, but … there was no one scary nearby. He was in a small little building inside a big, unfamiliar garden. The building was just a roof and little pillars holding it up and a stone floor to stand on with a little table inside and-.
A woman.
She was sitting at the table, working on something, but instead of it being paperwork like Grandpa or taking care of a sword like Uncle Cor, she was … spinning mud? She was making mud spin and pulling at it with her hands, changing its shape with her fingers, and Dionysus hadn’t realized he’d drifted into the gazebo to watch her in awe until she glanced up from her work and smiled at him. She went back to watching her mud, and when she spoke, her voice wasn’t echoing and scary, “Hello. Would you like to join me? I have enough for both of us to use if you like.”
Dionysus watched the spinning-spinning-spinning in awe, but shook his head and tucked his hands behind his back, “Iggy says I can’t play in the mud cause I’ll get dirty an’ it’s unb- unbe- bad for a prince.” He blinked up at her, “How come you’re playing in the mud? Iggy says old people don’ like mud.”
The spinning slowed to a stop as she stared at him and he wondered if she was going to get mad. But then she started laughing, an old, deep sound that felt nice, all the way to his bones, “This is not mud, Cheeky Prince, this is clay. People use it to make things like mugs and teapots and vases. Come, come sit and I will show you how.” She waved her muddy hand and set down a chair next to hers in a flash of magical rosy-blue sparks. So she was family, just like the last ones had been. Dionysus hadn’t known he had so much family before. Then again, he was pretty sure they were all dead, and that’s why they were talking to him in dreams rather than when he was awake —and a part of him wondered if that should scare him, but it didn’t, so as long as they didn’t act scary, he didn’t bother trying—.
Dionysus climbed onto the chair and watched her in curiosity. It still looked a lot like mud to him, but it was a different color from mud, so he supposed it could be something else. The woman was spinning her clay again, fingers deftly shaping and pinching and rubbing, “My name is Nyssia, though some once called me the Just.”
Dionysus thought of the Hall of Arts and all the pictures and statues in it, including some of Grandma Crepera, and wondered if she was one of the pictures in the Hall, “Just like Grandma Crepera?”
An amused twitch of her lips, “Yes, I am like Crepera. We are both related to you, but we are older than King Regis.”
He tilted his head, partially mesmerized by what she was doing with the spinning clay, but curious despite himself about other things. She was like Grandma Crepera and the others, but she hadn’t used a scary voice at all, “How come?”
She hummed without looking away from her work, “How come what, Cheeky Prince? I cannot read your mind.”
Dionysus pouted at her, because wasn’t it obvious what he was asking? But then he said, “You don’ have a scary voice like they do.”
Now she did glance up at him with a look like Grandpa had when he said something silly, “Oh, don’t I?” Dionysus jolted in his seat, startled, but not … scared. Her voice had echoed just now, deep and layered like when Grandma Crepera or Leon had spoken, but it didn’t make him feel like he needed to go hide. It reminded him oddly of the big, booming bells that hung from old church in his favorite movie, loud but mellow. He kind of liked it, but he was still glad when her voice went back to normal as she shrugged, “I merely thought you would not like it if I used that voice. So I did not.”

Rabble Drabble V: Advances
Colin fights off the advances of his wife in a drunken stupor.
A/N: Just so people know that I’m not completely heartless from the last chapter of my other fic. Here’s pure fluff. Enjoy!
Penelope glanced at the grandfather clock near the fireplace. It’s getting late and Colin was still not home. She wasn’t bothered much. It was a guy’s night out, after all. Whenever Michael, Benedict and Philip were in town, all the Bridgerton males made time to meet up and hang out. This guy’s night happened once every other month.
She’s not worried, knowing full well that Anthony would be responsible for the rowdy boys. But tonight, Colin had been unusually late coming home. She could not help but entertain her growing unease. She did just get married to him. She would be really pissed if Colin ended up making her a widow so soon.
She was about to call Kate when the doorbell rang. She answered the door promptly and was greeted at the sight of a disheveled Anthony keeping a drunk Colin upright. By the look of things, if she were to have taken her time from opening the door, Colin would have been sprawled on the ground, most likely pulling his brother with him.
“Hey, Pen,” Anthony managed to say between grunts. He pulled on his brother, who was swaying dangerously on the spot. In his van behind him, Michael pressed on the car horn obnoxiously, to Anthony’s consternation. Benedict’s hoot and Philips yelp was very audible in her quiet neighborhood. Penelope would have to bake cookies again to appease her neighbors.
“Fun night?” she asked with a laugh. She stepped up, anchoring her husband’s left arm over her shoulder. Colin, even in his drunken stupor, turned and bowed to the men in the car. He almost face-planted on the ground, if not for Anthony’s fast reflexes.
The prominent vein on the left side of Anthony’s forehead was ticking dangerously. Penelope hid her giggle since he might go off any second.
“Annoying gits,” Anthony mumbled as he shoved his brother into the house and into Penelope’s arms. “Always testing my patience. You got him, Pen?”
She nodded after hearing the car horn again. As much as she wanted him to help her with Colin upstairs, he needed to bring them home before her neighbors complained. She guided her husband to the stairs after saying, “Thanks Anthony. Close the door, will you?”
Her brother-in-law assented but added before rushing out, “Brunch tomorrow at mother’s, don’t forget!”
“Got it!” she shouted as he shut the door close. “Alright, my love. Work with me,” she pleaded when she tried to get Colin up the stairs without any accidents.
Colin shook his head, as if willing the booze away from his system, and took a good look at the stairs ahead of him. Then, he crouched down to all fours and slowly climbed up. Penelope was too flabbergasted to stop him.
“Not what I have in mind, but I’ll take it,” she muttered as she followed him, making sure he did not make a misstep.
He continued on until he reached the top. He stood up abruptly, with her guidance and made for their bedroom. Upon reaching the bed, Penelope stopped her husband from flopping onto the bed so she could take off his jacket, which reeked of booze. But before she could pull his sleeve off, he cut her off.
“Excuse me, madam,” he slurred insistently, “I am a kept man. I do not care for your advances as I am very happily married.”
Well, if that didn’t bring a bright smile on her face, she didn’t know what will. But she still needed to take off his jacket. “I just need to take off your jacket, love.”
He acquiesced however, he refrained her from touching him with a light slap of her hand. He took it off easily then crashed head first on the bed.
Penelope was torn between annoyance and affection as she cradled the hand that he slapped away. In the end, she chose to linger on the fierce devotion he showed to her. She was successful in taking off both his shoes. When she was close to getting his socks off, he moved his feet out of reach.
“No means no, lady,” he almost bellowed. “I’m married.”
“So you kept saying,” she retorted as she chased his foot to pull on a sock. After a tedious minute, she was able to take it off and the other one too amidst his elaborate footwork dodges. She inhaled loudly, trying to be patient with her drunk husband. At this point, she may be okay with being a widow since she just might kill him herself.
She sagged right next to him on the bed, her fatigue from the day catching up. She was ready to fall asleep when a scandalized, “Excuse me!” prevented her from falling asleep.
She scrunched her face and whispered to Colin, “You are really exhausting all my patience tonight, darling.”
“I only sleep with my wife,” he insisted again, with a slur. “My Pen is the only one allowed to this,” he said as he gestured to his body. To his defense, it was a pretty tantalizing body. But she could not help but wonder if his brain was rendered useless with the alcohol in his tantalizing body.
“Colin, just sleep, okay? I’m tired. You’re tired. Just go to sleep,” she appealed to him with wry fondness. She pulled on the comforter and tried to cover both their bodies with it. Unfortunately for her, he refused to cooperate.
He fought off the comforter as if it were armed enemies, both his hands in a karate chop stance.
“Colin! Just...oh my god,” she muttered under her breath. She’s never going to let him come back drunk ever again if he was going to be such a pain like this.
“My beautiful wife will have words with you, lady. Stop trying to molest me.”
She wanted to strangle him but his compliment gave her pause. “Your wife must have the patience of a saint.”
“My wife has everything,” he snootily replied. “She’s so witty and beautiful and insanely hot and funny and has the best rack,” his hands cupped the air daintily and she glowered at him, “and she’s sexy and she’s a great kisser and best of all, she’s mine.”
She wanted to wince. She honestly really hoped he didn’t talk about her breasts in public like this. But she would be lying if she denied being touched by his raining flattery. The muscles on her face tugged into a wide grin.
“She should be lucky to have you. You’re not so bad yourself.”
“I know I’m a catch,” her smile fell off, replaced by exasperation, “but my wife is leagues ahead of me. She’s the best. She’s absolutely, astoundingly gorgeous and that’s the least interesting thing about her. I’m awed that she chose me out of all the fools around her.”
Well, shit. His words tugged into her heart, churning her insides into mush. Even the way he smiled dreamily as he went on and one about her sent her into a giddy rush.
He continued, “I worship the ground she walked on. When she said she loved me, it felt like my life, only then, really started. Everything else was background noise. I’ll spend the rest of my life showing her how important she is to me. She is my dream fulfilled.”
Aww. This was better than his wedding vows. Her eyes misted as she tried to hide how touched she was at his drunken declaration. Penelope had to admit that drunk Colin was her favorite version of her husband.
She leaned closer to him to give him a fervent kiss when his palm connected with her face. It wasn’t a slap, more of a forceful push. His outstretched hand pushed her away from his side.
“God, lady, I just told you I’m married. I’m going to have to call the cops.”
All of the goodwill she harbored from his flowery speech about her vanished. How could he use her face to push her entire body away from him? He’s definitely going to pay for this tomorrow.
She left the bed at his unrelenting pushes. She grabbed a glass of water from the kitchen and a bottle of aspirin. When she came back to their bedroom, he was fast asleep on his side of the bed. She placed the glass and medicine on his bed stand.
He definitely was a handful but he was hers.
She laid down on the bed, careful not to wake him from his slumber. It did not take her long to pass out in a dreamless sleep.
She awoke to the glare of sunlight peeking from the drawn curtains a couple of hours later. She tried to rub her eyes but her arm was encumbered by her husband’s body. Colin, in his sleep, latched on to her side, curling his body flush to hers. She remembered his sweet words last night and grinned affectionately. However, she also remembered the way his hand connected with her face when she only wanted to give him a kiss.
“Good morning!” she loudly exclaimed.
Colin winced and cradled his head with a whine, “Why?”
His obvious pain was enough to balm the annoyance from last night. She ruffled his hair. “There’s water and aspirin there for you.”
He mumbled his thanks and burrowed even deeper into the crook of her neck. She giggled when he peppered tiny kisses on her neck.
“We have to be at your mom’s in a few hours. Think you’re up to it?”
He grunted a response, tightening his embrace on her. She reminded him of his mother’s special waffles and he seemed to be more amenable after.
“I love you,” she told him, after a beat of silence, as she caressed his head.
He peered at her. “I love you too. If I am to be greeted with this every morning after I get drunk, I’m drinking more often,” he answered with a joke.
“Please don’t,” she asked with a glare.
His face scrunched in confusion and all Penelope did was give her befuddled husband a sound kiss.

I bought a house in the middle of nowhere
“Yeah, I loved it, but she’d never move there.” It was something akin to that, at least. He didn’t mean any mischief, no deceit or planning. It was an honest take on what, at the time, was true. I saw the road into town on Google Maps, noted that it was closed during the winter, acknowledged the reality that a person can own a snowmobile, and I said, “we are not moving there.” But, all good truths are just dares in the making.
And here I am, living in the “there” I said I would not. Two years ago, I left my job at Headspace for a life reset. It was pre-pandemic, and Ben and I were planning a big road trip. Our perfect paradise in Topanga, CA, had crystallized itself as many people’s perfect paradise, and those “many people” all had more money than us. Our options to buy a home were nil, and home-buying was essentially all we wanted. Ben’s a builder and I’m a world builder, and we wanted somewhere to invest that didn’t belong to someone else. We packed the car with the tent and the bikes and the dog and all the things that come with tents and bikes and dogs, and off we went on our own Tour de l’Ouest, looking for a place to call home. We knew what we wanted, knew our odds of finding it, and hit the road anyway. Here was the dream list — concocted by two pie-in-the-sky dummies who married each other:
Not rainy or consistently windy
Notable access to the arts
Remote and challenging to get to/close neighbors
Wild West influenced architecture
Progressive community
Exceptional trail access out the front door
High-speed internet
In our budget
And my personal favorite: had to “feel right” Good luck to us with a list like that, but thus began our hunt. We camped in the snow, tried every dirty chai in the Rockies, and explored every town we could. Whatever a good time it was, it felt useless. Every town Ben was OK with, I hated. Every town I was OK with, Ben despised. And the few places we both loved required money we just didn’t have. We came home with our sails down, limping into the harbor of our rental. But as is the way with romantics, our dreams began to slowly eclipse our reality. Books fell victim to Zillow and Trulia. TV was replaced by the MLS. All writing time was dedicated to Realtor.com. Hours were spent pouring over maps, county records, and updating spreadsheets that tracked price per square foot compared to beds and baths. Over time, all that internetting led to one singular town of 180 people at 10,000 feet in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with a road that said “Closed Winters” on Google Maps. Look, I don’t know what happened. Ben found this town on a map, I said don’t be ridiculous, and after a year or so of him telling people I'd never move here, here I am, being ridiculous. Was it reverse psychology? Maybe. Was it the charming “town plan” that mandated all houses be rustic cabins and forbade AirBnB? Could be. Was it the fact that when I looked at Strava’s Heatmap, it showed what seemed like thousands of miles of trails just out the front door? I mean, yes. All these things played a part, but all I know for certain is that one day I woke up and said, “we’re going to move there.” Ben doubted this conviction (and the realities behind it) thus cementing it into place in my head. In a town of 180 people there’s only ~60 houses, which means maybe 2 or 3 get listed per year — but my spreadsheet had the proof: we hadn’t missed our chance yet in this tiny town. The data showed a strong likelihood there would be at least two houses listed within the calendar year. This, however, was also our last chance. The spreadsheet also showed that if we didn’t find a house this year, we wouldn’t be able to afford one the next. We called a realtor, made our case, and harangued her until she believed us that we were truly the kind of yahoos who would move to an avalanche field and stay there. And then it happened. A pocket listing. It was a darling home built in 1890. It had the beds, the baths, and the views. We were the first and only to know. We put in an offer, they agreed, and we would come to see the house in a few weeks. But in those few weeks, the circumstances changed. The sellers lost their own sweet deal, and they couldn’t sell yet. Their agent promised we had right of first refusal, it was only a matter of time. Ben lamented, I preached patience, and we went to see the house that was no longer for sale anyway.
It was a quiet winter morning in Covid when we drove across the packed snow to meet our realtor outside the house. The sun was out and the 13 degrees Fahrenheit felt warm. I unzipped my jacket, mask on my face. I took long videos and talked about where I would set up my office and where we’d put the bikes. As we closed up and I settled into a future where this house would eventually be mine, our realtor told us there were comps in the area — other residents quietly interested in potentially closing out. Would we like to see them? Sure, let’s.
One home came with an incredible commercial kitchen. The whole house was a whopping 3500 sq ft if my memory serves me correct, which falls under the category of “houses too big to find your cat in."
Another home had an open-air-to-the-kitchen bathroom.
The third was dark and overpriced with cracked windows and open beer cans scattered about.
And then, plans changed. “Hey guys, there’s actually one more house we can see.” The last house we saw was a log cabin, nestled in the hillside by itself, with massive A-frame windows looking out onto the peaks beyond. Inside was a labyrinth of a life lived long and large. The cabin was built and loved by a man we’ll call Jack. Jack was 82, and as we walked toward the front door on that sunny winter morning, he exited with two beers in his pockets, headed to the mountain to ski. Jack was an attorney — in his life he’d been both criminal and defender — and from the stories, somewhat interchangeably. There were artifacts from running in the same scenes as Hunter S. Thompson and Willie Nelson; there were stuffed birds, bad books, sheet-covered couches, smoked spliffs, and piles and piles of mouse shit. Every inch of the house was lived in, and not just by people. You think millennials like plants? No. This man likes plants. The biggest monstera deliciosa I’ve ever seen, spanning some 10 feet wide and 15 feet tall. Draping cactuses, spider plants, massive aloes, and an ambitious hoya carnosa clawing its way to the top of the massive fireplace. But there were problems. I’m trying to be diplomatic saying the house was lived in. The wood by the door handles was dyed black from years of hand grease rubbing against it. The carpet in the upstairs was soiled almost everywhere with bat scat. Newspaper was stuffed between the massive logs to keep the wind out. There was cardboard taped over almost every window, blankets nailed over the others. Half the doors wouldn’t open. It was unnerving to touch the crusted light switches. It was early enough in the season of Covid-fear that touching anything felt like gambling. On our way back to our rental in the bigger neighboring town, we shared our awe and our no-ways, lamenting how long we’d have to wait for the little 1890s fixer upper. That night, I sent the video I took of the cabin to my parents. “Can you believe this?” I asked. And do you know what my dad said? “Great log construction.” After that, the cabin was all we could talk about. “Could you believe those plants?” “Did you see how big those logs were?” “I just googled Jack, look at this.” “Do you know what the insulating factor of logs is?” “How much did he say he was asking?” It came down to the plants. Amidst all the chaos in that house, the tender care of those decades-old plants sung the clearest. This wasn’t just a place Jack lived in, it was a place that wanted to be lived in. We made an offer the next day.
Jack had six months to clear out his 30 odd years of collecting, and the town had six months to speculate about the worrisome Californians moving to their high-altitude, high-risk town. The town itself is an old mining town. It rests in a high valley, surrounded by peaks over 13,000ft, and is over six hours from the nearest major airport. Five people died around this town in avalanches this past year. The dirt road into town is littered with avalanche fields, warning visitors to not stop when driving in. The other way out is a pass road, only drivable in the warm months, but you could skin out if it was dire. Most August days, the high is in the mid-60s. The valley is blanketed in wildflowers, and the aspens littering the mountainsides suggest a promising fall display. The town had a heyday, a low day, and now it’s a community of preppers, adventurers, appreciators, and “get all these idiots away from me”ers. We don’t know these people yet, but the ones we’ve met have the same like to live hard attitude we do. Heli-ski guides, ex-CIA agents, woodworkers, bakers, teachers, just a general can-do group of people. The kind of people that see a California license plate and peer with skepticism between the thin gap over their sunglasses and under their caps.
You might say I’m romanticizing the place, but the residents are worse. Like all good old-timers, they’re full of threats: “wait’ll you see the snow drifts,” “let’s see how you do outrunning an avalanche,” “good luck with the winds,” “the last Californians didn’t last a year.” God, what does that remind me of?
“Yeah, I loved it, but she’d never move there.”
With every taunt, my teeth ground more enamel, fingers rolling into a clench. And maybe Jack recognized this intensity, because on the day of closing, he hosted a gathering for us in the town's open space. He had us introduce ourselves to the skeptical locals, and I made my case in court, eyes narrowed and lips curled. “I’m the daughter of a smokejumper and wildlife biologist. I grew up watching the wind and the door. I’ve lived in big cities, small boats, and more than one cabin. I always take the stairs, I never use air-conditioning, and I’m a very good shot.” I’m just a girl, standing in front of a town, asking them to give her a fucking chance. Jack stepped forward to speak. “You know, I had my doubts about a couple Californians coming to look at my house. But these people? These are the nicest people you’re ever gonna meet.” And then I helped Jack set up his cot so he could spend his last night under the stars in the town that kept him young. Cooper ran circles with the other dogs. People brought homemade cocktails and bowls of dip and we felt welcomed. Even the mayor, a fellow writer, came and she struck up a conversation. “I hear you’ve got a little bit of a following on social media!” She teased. “I guess, nothing wild.” “Well I just wanted to let you know if you ever geotag this town, I’ll drag you out of it.” She grinned. This was a special place. And every visitor who couldn’t handle the realities of being here threatened the very wellbeing of the people who lived here. This town survives on a delicate balance. They source their own water, manage their own roads, and fervently protect the land and the people around them. Their stories about racing avalanches, snowmobiling in the dark of night to the doctor’s house, hunkering down in each other’s homes as the storms pass — these stories were bylaws. You can join when you’ve proven you’re ready to join. By their own projection, they are hardy and steadfast people, and when they see a Californian, they see something fleeting. Many years ago, I worked in the British Virgin Islands. The people born and raised there were called Belongers. At the customs office, the placards above the lines literally read, “If you belong, stand here” and “If you do not belong, stand here.” Whether or not we belong isn't up to the town council, and it's not up to these residents. It's up to years spent drifting my old Mustang in the snow on the way to school, up to Ben's months and months spent in the backcountry, up to my years of reading fire reports and assisting with evacuations, up to Ben's ability to read the landscape and the weather, up to my doggedness, his diligence, and our pathological love to do difficult things well. It’s up to us, to these old logs, and to this valley. Doesn't mean we'll belong, but it does mean we'll try. And for the record, the road is open in the winter. But do these sound like the kind of people who’d tell Google that? Next week, a tour of the house that we get to call ours — stuffed with newspaper, run by plants, and filled with mice. P.S. Here's where we get our mail.

Thank you 🥰 Here's me going overboard again with a big ole excerpt from Lemon Boy
Coffee mug in hand, Peter steps into the front room with deep purple bags under his eyes, his hair a wild mass on his head, and yesterday’s clothes askew on his frame. If Harley didn’t know better he’d think he just got in from a wild night on the town. Actually, he has no way of knowing that’s not what happened except that Peter doesn’t strike him as the type. He judges him silently for a long moment, then goes back to enjoying his own mug of coffee as he scrolls aimlessly on his phone.
Peter sags against the wall with his nose in his mug and closes his eyes against the mid-morning sun as it glares off of parked cars and the shinier mailboxes. He doesn’t speak until Harley finishes his coffee and stands from the loveseat. “Was that you mowing at like 5am?”
“Heat wave is about to hit,” he says as he brushes past him. It needed done and the air conditioner can barely keep up with moderate temperatures. There’s no way he’s going to kill himself mowing in 105 degree heat only to come inside and not find any relief.
Peter follows him to the kitchen. “The neighbors are gonna hate you.”
“Nothin’ I can do about it.”
Mrs. O’Flareghty is the early to bed, early to rise type so as long as he doesn’t send her back to scowling at him every time they cross paths, he doesn’t care what the rest of the neighborhood thinks. They already think he’s crazy for mowing at the start of that thunderstorm last month. There wasn’t even any lightning yet and it was totally worth it to get to mow in the cool breezy storm rather than the awful muggy heat that followed. It is what it is.
Peter hops onto the counter and watches him scrub out his mug. “You could try not mowing before the sun is properly up. That’s something you could do.”
He sets his mug on the window sill and crosses his arms to face Peter. “The sun not being up was the whole point. Did you need something?”
“It’s Saturday. Any plans?”
“The usual. Why?”
Peter shrugs. “Just making conversation.”
“Why?” he repeats.
Peter flaps his hands in exasperation. “Because I like talking to you?”
Harley snorts hard. Yeah, right. “I thought you were done pretending around me.”
“It’s the truth!” Peter insists. “We get a good banter going when you’re not being all broody and mean.”
“You mean when you’re not pretending to be someone you’re not?”
Peter’s expression darkens and his easy tone turns hard. “Would you back off? I’m not doing anything wrong.”
“Make me, tough guy,” he says, straightening to his full height. “You get into all those fights but you let me walk all over you. Put me in my place. Speak your mind for once.”
Peter slips to the floor, face like thunder, and meets him in the middle of the kitchen so they’re toe to toe, eye to eye. Then he leans in and says, “No.”
Harley watches him go, his coffee forgotten on the counter as he returns upstairs, hands in fists, shoulders tight. He doesn’t stomp. He doesn’t stalk off. He’s measured, controlled, deliberate, and then gone.
A strange combination of satisfaction and disappointment coalesce in him. He wanted to push him until he snapped. He expected a show. He expected fireworks. Instead what he got was a glimpse of magma, contained and hidden, but bubbling steadily under a cracked surface.
Absently, he dumps the dregs of Peter’s coffee down the sink and washes the mug.
He expected shouting, dirty looks, and door slamming. He didn’t expect him to refuse to be pushed. He didn’t expect him to get angry and let him see that he was angry, but refuse to release it.
He sets Peter’s mug on the window sill beside his and dries his hands. He knows he’s being an ass but he can’t stop picking at him, testing him, trying to find his limit. Trying to find out, who is Peter Parker?
Send me a 🌹 and I'll respond with an excerpt from a WIP

The Angel Next Door - Chapter 2
8:15 am…
“Good morning. Sleep well?” My mom is way too chipper in the morning.
“Yeah. I guess.”
“Wow. Very detailed answer.”
“What? Do you want me to tell you how I drooled on my pillow and rolled off the bed twice?”
“Actually, kinda.”
“You’re weird.”
“What’s up slugger?” Dave walks in.
“Nothin’.”
“Wow babe, you’re kid’s quite the wordsmith.” I’m about to respond in a not-so-nice way, but I hold it back.
“When’s the pool gonna be ready?”
“It’ll be a few weeks.” My mom hands me a glass of orange juice.
“Thanks.” I start walking away.
“Hey! No food or drinks upstairs.” I turn to face Dave, really tempted to throw the OJ in his face.
“So no water? What about vitamins? Technically they’re food.”
“Haha, smart aleck.” He turns away from me and I flip him off.
My mom gives me a look that says “stop it!” and I just turn away, leaving my OJ on the nearest table.
When I get to my room I am very tempted to slam the door, but somehow manage to not do so. I open my window and just step out onto the deck to get some fresh air for the moment. And yet again there’s Asher. He seems to be playing some video games. So I reach into my room, grab a sock, ball it up, and throw it at his window. And he doesn’t notice. Son of a bitch. So I grab a pen and throw it. This time he notices and walks over to his window.
“What you doing?”
“Just playing some Madden.”
“Sounds fun.” I stand up, run across the roof, and jump across the gap between our roofs, landing directly in front of him.
“Shit! Dude!” He looks freaked out and I just start laughing.
“It’s all good. Now, are you gonna let me in and get destroyed in Madden? Or are we gonna just stand here like some weirdos from a 90s rom-com?”
“You’re crazy.” He steps back to let me in.
“I take that as a compliment.”
“You shouldn’t.”
I sit on his bed while he grabs another controller.
“I can’t believe you’re even awake right now. Did you even sleep?”
“I don’t sleep much.”
“So you’re super athletic and don’t sleep. Are you sure you’re not Spiderman?”
“Nope. Just a retired gymnast.”
“Gymnast?”
“What? You didn’t get gymnast off me?”
“Not at all.”
“Good.”
“How are you already retired?”
“Well I guess retired isn’t the right word. Just the one my mom uses.” I spot a photo on Asher’s desk and walk over. “It’s more that I got sick of it and left.” The photo is of him and what I’m assuming are his mom, dad, and younger brother and sister. “This your fam?”
“Yeah. From our trip to the Bahamas last summer.”
“Looks fun.”
“You’re parents seem nice. Saw them unpacking yesterday.”
“Dave’s not my dad.” I make sure to emphasize that.
“Oh. Sorry.”
“No problem. Most people assume that.” I sit back down next to him. “My dad’s out of the picture now. Dave’s the evil stepfather.”
“Sorry.”
“He’s just the stereotypical evil step-parent. It’s actually his fault that we moved here. Some business opportunity or whatever.”
“That sucks. I’m sorry about that.”
“You say sorry a lot.”
“Sor… Oops.” We both laugh.
“Now can we just play or are you scared of losing?”
“What? You’re the one that started talking about Dave.”
“Oh shut up!” I shove him and he shoves me back as we laugh.
“That was just dumb luck.” I stand up, throwing the controller on the bed.
“Dumb luck? 12 times in a row?”
“Oh fuck you.” Asher laughs. “Let’s do something else. Go out or something.”
“Where?”
“I don’t know. Out.”
“You sound like my mom.”
“I haven’t met her, but I’m assuming she’s amazing.”
“Eww.”
“Let’s go.”
“Wait. Let me at least tell my parents.”
“Fine. Come on.” I open his bedroom door and standing right there is his mom.
She smiles at me, looking very confused.
“Hi. I’m Spencer.”
“Hey.” She looks very confused, but luckily Asher comes walking up.
“He’s the new neighbor.”
“Oh! Really good to meet you. I was planning on dropping by to say hi to your parents later.”
“Oh, they’d love that.”
“I didn’t even hear you come in earlier.”
“Oh… yeah… I’m very quiet.” Asher and I share a funny look.
“Well, Spencer and I were just about to go out. Can I borrow the car?”
“Sure. Where are you guys going?”
“Oh… um…” Asher is nervous and part of me doesn’t want to save him.
“He’s going to show me around town.”
“That’s nice. You guys have fun.”
Asher and I run out to the car.
“Do you need to go and get shoes? Maybe tell your mom and Dave that you’re going out?”
I look to the house for a second.
“Nah.” I jump into the car and I just see Asher smirk at that.
“Is he really that bad?” He asks as he drives out of the driveway.
“Worse. But everyone loves him. He’s only awful to me, and never in public.”
“Like… is he…”
“No. He’s not physical. He wouldn’t even dare. I would knock him out with one hit and he knows it.”
“Damn.”
“Let’s move on to something else.”
“Like what?”
“Tell me a summary of your life… in 60 seconds.”
“Oh…”
“Begin!”
“Shit! My name is Asher Angel…”
“Angel?”
“Shh. Since I was a kid I’ve been very into acting and singing. Got my first big gig at the age of six. From there on I’ve done a lot of plays and then a few small gigs before getting a major role on Disney Channel’s Andi Mack. I’ve released multiple albums. Then I got the role as Billy Batson in Shazam.”
“Five seconds.”
“Oh, and I love Top Golf, basketball, and my sibling’s names are Avi and London.” I just look over at him, unable to speak. “You good?”
“Um… describe good.” We both laugh. “Well, now I feel ridiculous. How did I not recognize you? I’ve seen Shazam!”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I liked it a lot too.” Asher can’t help but laugh. “Well, now I’m embarrassed.”
“Don’t be.”
“And now my life story feels pathetic.”
“I doubt it. No way your life could be boring. The first time I saw you you were sneaking off your roof.”
“ It’s fine. Let’s move on.”
“Come on. I won’t judge.”
“Wait! Stop here!” I point to our left.
“What? The playground?”
“What? It’s empty.” He pulls over and I quickly get out of the car.
I rush over to the bars. I jump on them and just start swinging around.
“You’re crazy.”
“Come on. Who says a playground is just for kids?”
“Everyone.”
“Well, kids can’t do this.”
I know this isn’t the safest, but at this point, I don’t care. So I push with all my force and spin around the pole. I spin a few more times before letting go and doing a simple under swing dismount.
“Shit!” Asher starts clapping.
“Thank you. Thank you.” I bow to him.
“I think it’s so cool that you can do that.”
“It is pretty cool, isn’t it? Bars aren’t really my thing though. I’m more of a floor guy.”
“Floor guy? That sounds a bit gross.” We both laugh.
“Eww.” I step back and quick front handspring.
“Shit. Can you do the splits?”
“Of course. But not in these pants.”
“So why’d you quit? You’re so good.”
“Swings!” I run to the swings.
“You’re really good at avoiding things. You know that, right?” Asher sits on the swing next to me.
“I know. You got a girlfriend?”
“Wow. What a transition there!”
“And?”
“No. I don’t have a girlfriend. Well, I did, but we broke up a few months ago.”
“Bummer.”
“And you? You leave a girl behind?”
“Oh god no. But I’ve had a few boyfriends. Not a recent one though.”
“Oh... “ I love seeing people’s faces when they realize I’m gay. “Sorry I assumed.”
“It’s fine. Most people do.”
“So you’re out?”
“Yeah. For two years now.”
“If you don’t mind me asking, are your parents fine with it?”
I sit there for a second and just stare forward. Part of me just wants to run, but I’m honestly just too tired to keep running.
“Well, my mom was fine with it. She told me she knew for a long time.” I feel my heart racing, thinking about all of this. “As for my dad…” I literally begin feeling my chest moving at a dangerous speed.
“You okay?”
“Not really.” I find my eyes tearing up, but then I just laugh.
“You sure.”
“Not really.” I laugh again. “When I was six my parents divorced. And I was given the choice of who I wanted to live with. I choose my dad.”
“Oh…” I can tell he’s intrigued like it’s a telenovela… and it is.
“So I lived with him. But I still saw my mom every weekend. We were close. But I was much closer with my dad.”
“That’s nice.” I can’t help but laugh at that and he just looks at me confused.
“Two years ago I came out to my parents. My dad couldn’t handle it. He kicked me out. I didn’t even get to pack. My mom picked me up and she had to pack all my stuff.”
“Damn. I’m sorry.” It is a struggle to not let my tears out right now.
“It’s all good.”
“Have you talked to him at all?”
“Nope. Haven’t heard a single word from him for two years now.”
“I can’t imagine that.”
“It’s fine. I’ve moved on.”
“There’s no moving on from that.” And then I snap, tears slowly falling down my face.
“God I wish I had my flask right now.” Asher and I both laugh a little. “Ugh, I hate this.” I wipe my tears.
“It’s not a bad thing to cry.”
“I know…”
“Really. Emotions aren’t a bad thing. If you ever need to talk about anything just jump on over.”
“Thanks…” I look at him. “Are you sure you’re straight?” I laugh, but I notice he doesn’t.
“Wanna go get some ice cream?”
“Look who’s avoiding things now?” We both laugh. “Come on. Ice cream sounds perfect.”

Be Your Own Anchor
Chapter 1
Hi! The name is (y/n). Just a bit of background before we get this rolling… My parents decided that we would be moving from (hometown) to California, specifically Beacon Hills. I’m still annoyed with the fact that I have to leave my friends, and literally everyone I know, but as they like to remind me, I can’t do anything about it. I say parents, but I don’t know my real dad. Or mom. I’m adopted and have some… slight anger issues. Probably part of the reason for the move, too much trouble with this school. So new town, new school, new friends, same issues. Anyways, let’s see where this takes me!... I guess.
We finally made it to the new house. I got out of the car and stretched, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, and grabbed my suitcases, heading towards the house. Heading through the front door, I studied the rooms I passed through. A family room, a parlor, a dining room, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a basement. How much room do we need? As I finished looking around, I opened the doors to the bedrooms, finding the bedroom upstairs at the front of the house to already have my boxes and bed inside. The room was large, with high ceilings and a large bay window with a window seat. It was a light shade of (f/c), with the canopy from my bed having already been placed and hung. I decided to place my bags down, and head downstairs to help my parents with the other items in the car. There would be time to deal with my room later. I grabbed the last of the boxes, only two, and having realized they were mine anyways, took them straight to my room. I had never really had much around my room, only a couple of posters, and some knick knacks that had been given to me from trips.
I reentered my new room and grabbed my black-out curtains from one of the boxes in my arms, heading to the smaller windows on the sidewalls to hang them and open the windows. I stood there for a moment, the sun beating down on my face, soaking in the warmth, before turning to grab a shelf for the small trinkets I had always kept on it. My bed was in the middle of the wall, opposing the large window, meaning I could at least look at the stars if I wanted to while attempting to sleep that night. Moving always made me jittery. I decided to unpack, hoping it would get rid of some of the jitters of sleeping in a new house. Making my way to the closet, I pulled out the hangers that were in there, placing them on the floor in front of my bed, and hung the clothes from my suitcases on them. Making the last trip to my closet to hang the freshly hung clothes on the rack, I turned to my jeans, folding and placing them in the dresser to the right of my bed, and grabbed all my shoes, placing them all against the wall- back flat against the wall, each pair separated by exactly one hand width. Once finished with that, I placed my books on the bottom shelves of my bookcase, my movies above them, and my video games above my movies. By the time I had finished unpacking everything, it was only 7:30, not bad timing.
I made my way to the window seat and saw the slightly slanted roof that would be perfect for sitting on... if the window would open, that is. Trying my luck, I pushed the window up, doing a small fist pump in victory when it opened, before stepping out to sit. Taking out my phone to check snapchat, my head snapped up at the sound of yelling ahead of me. I sighed, thinking it was my parents and turned to head inside, before catching the sound of the unfamiliar voices, and glanced around. Across the street from me were two teenage boys goofing around, throwing a football between them. One must have felt my eyes on him because the next thing I knew I was on the receiving end of a goofy smile and wave, and he was on the receiving end of a football to the head. Goofy-grin-boy, as I had opted to call him, shook his head, rubbing the side where he had been hit, before tackling the other boy. I gave a small chuckle, sighing and heading inside. He was cute, in a goofy, adorable kind of way. I should make sure he’s alright, after all it’s my fault he got hit… I grabbed a jacket and some shoes, and headed outside, but by the time I reached my front lawn, the boys were nowhere in sight. I glanced around, trying to spot them anywhere, when my eyes were drawn to a beautiful, baby blue Jeep CJ-5 in the driveway the boys had been at. I hope one of them owns it, because whoever does, they have good taste (and a new best friend) and would be meeting me in hopefully just a few minutes. I decided to just knock on the door and try my luck, seeing as my luck had already been decent today. As my hand moved up to the door, I saw movement from the corner of my eye, in the window, and turned my head. I could just barely see where the curtain was billowing from having been moved, and turned back to the door, shrugging it off. Raising my fist to finally knock, the door opened, and I gasped slightly, taking a step back.
“Sorry! I suppose I should ask if that boy is alright…” I was looking at the ground, mumbling the last bit beneath my breath. When I received no response, I glanced up, only to be met with goofy-grin-boy. I smiled and let out a small sigh of relief, “My name is (Y/n), you okay? I saw you get hit with the ball earlier, thought I would check on you and introduce myself…” I trailed off, hoping he would finally answer.
The boy returned my smile, and we sat in an awkward silence until his friend, who I hadn’t even noticed come up behind him, replied for him. “Hi, he’s fine. I’m Scott, and the one who is surprisingly silent is Stiles.” I gave Scott a small wave and giggled at the fact that apparently Stiles is never quiet. At my laugh, Stiles seemed to shake himself out of whatever trance he was in and smiled sweetly at me. I shook myself out of my head, No, (Y/n) you can’t go around liking your neighbor. No.
“Well, it was nice to meet you, but I don’t want to bother you guys. Um, just one question: is there anything, like mysterious, to do for fun around here?” I said, creating way for my exit. The boys looked at each other before looking back at me, grinning.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“One: You have to promise not to tell anyone this, or what we find/do, ok?” Stiles looked at me and I nodded. He ushered me inside. “Ok. So, two joggers found a body in the woods.” Scott looked confused. I was excited.
“A… dead body?”
“No, a body of water? Yes, dumbass, a dead body.” I chuckled at Stiles’ reply to Scott’s obvious yet naïve question. “And the cops are out there searching.”
“So? What are we waiting for? Are we gonna go look to see if we can get close?” I looked between Scott and Stiles, waiting for an answer. Stiles looked at me in excitement and awe, and Scott looked nervous. “Ok, well… if you guys aren’t going, will one of you point me in the right direction? I want to check out a dead body.” I looked between the boys once again, hoping that someone would answer me or better yet show me the way. Stiles grabbed Scott by the arm and pushed me lightly towards the jeep. “Wait, this baby is yours?! That is amazing!! I love CJ’s!!” I admired the jeep, nearly flipping out. Stiles chuckled and just nudged me a little further towards the beautiful car. I climbed in, my excitement peaking, and moved to the back, Scott and Stiles piling into the jeep. I sent my mom a text saying I made some friends and was hanging out with them as we left the street, headed towards the woods.
“Wait, if they found a body, what are they looking for now?” Scott piped up as we began trekking our way through the woods.
“That’s the best part: they only found half.” Stiles explained and I was smiling like someone had just given me a puppy and a whole bunch of money on Christmas.
“So, what part of the body are we looking for?” Scott pressed. I could tell he was nervous.
“I don’t know.”
“What if the killer is still out here?”
“Huh. I didn’t think of that.” We kept walking. I kept pace with Scott since he seemed to be having a hard time with what we were doing, using his inhaler every few minutes.
“Maybe the severe asthmatic should be holding the flashlight?” Scott called to Stiles, who by this point was way ahead of us. Stiles had crouched down slightly, stopped, and as Scott and I came up to him we saw the reason. Maybe 10 yards ahead of us, the sheriff and his deputies were searching. Scott pulled me in front of him, right behind a tree, motioning for me to be quiet. Stiles turned around, screamed like a little girl, and went tumbling to the ground. The beam from a flashlight shone upon him.
“Hang on, hang on. This little delinquent belongs to me.” The Sheriff was looking at Stiles and I could only guess he was talking to the deputies with him.
“Dad, how ya doing?”
“So, do you, uh, listen to all my phone calls?”
“No, heh… well, not the boring ones…” Stiles trails off and I cringe.
“Now, where’s your usual partner in crime?”
“Who, Scott? Sc-Scott’s at home. Said he wanted a good night’s rest for the first day back at school tomorrow. It’s just me. In the woods. Alone.” I looked at Scott, seeing him shake his head slightly.
“Scott?! You out there?” Everything got quiet as he waited for an answer “Scott?!” Another pause of silence. “Well, young man, I’m gonna walk you back to your car. And you and I are gonna have a conversation about something called ‘invasion of privacy’.” I inwardly groaned and deflated. Stiles was our ride, and now, he and his dad were going back to the jeep. We wait a few minutes before starting the trek back to our houses. I heard a snap off to one side, my head snapping towards the sound as I try to pinpoint what it was, only to meet a pair of glowing red eyes.
“Sc-Scott? Um, would you mind helping me?” I whisper, not moving my body, trying not to set the animal off. Scott must not have realized he needed to be quiet, because he walked without a care in the world, and the animal leaped, attacking. I held my arms up in front of my face, screaming Scott's name, before a sharp pain tore through my side and I landed on the ground, making me gasp and bite my fist, the taste of iron soon sinking into my mouth. I do my best to stand up as fast as I can, holding my side, before turning and running. I ran until I tumbled down a small hill and came face to face with the dead body of a girl. Her eyes stared into the nothingness. Only, she had no legs. I screamed, backing up, only to tumble further down, and land against a fallen log, hitting my head. Scott followed soon after, and a herd of what seemed to be elk or deer came charging towards us. We scrambled to duck out of the way and waited until they passed, before standing up and heading home, trying to ignore the howl that came from where we just left.
“Um, would you mind giving me your numbers that way I can find you guys tomorrow? If you don’t mind that is.” We switched numbers and I went inside, heading to my room to pick out an outfit and send a message to them both so they had my number, before laying down and falling into a dreamless sleep.

Paul Lahote x f!reader wisdom teeth
Y/N POV
Paul wanted to take me to my appointment only to film me waking up from the sedation and show the pack. I needed a driver and didn't have the energy to fight him on the issue, so here I am in the car with a giddy giant wolf puppy. Hopefully, I won’t say anything too bad when I wake up. Or maybe I can sweet talk my way into getting Paul to delete the video so I don't die of embarrassment.
Paul glances at me as he's driving, sensing my anxiety before the procedure.
"Don't worry Y/N! The doc said that it should take about 45 minutes and that they do this stuff all the time! You'll be fine! And if not, they'll have to answer to me."
He grabbed my hand and gently kissed it to help calm my nerves. He can be so caring when he's not riled up by his pack.
I leaned closer to him and smiled. " I know. I just can't help but feel anxious you know? It'll be the first time since I've been completely vulnerable to the world and I'll practically depend on you for a while after the procedure. I don't like feeling helpless. I need my independence. Plus it's going to suck not being able to eat my favorite foods." As I turn my head back to look out the window I pursed my lips at the thought of not being able to chew food for a while.
We enjoyed the silence as we continued our drive to the doctor's office. My heart sped up even faster as we pulled into the parking lot.
I turned to Paul and looked at him earnestly. " We can still back out. Are you sure you'll be able to take care of me with your broken arm? I'm sure you have better things to do than look after me."
He chuckled. " I wouldn't miss this for the world, babe. You know I'll always protect you even if I'm near death. A lousy arm won't stop me from protecting you. I couldn't think of a better place to be right now than being next to you."
" Awe that's so sweet Paul! Sometimes I wonder how I got to be so lucky." My heart turned to mush at Paul's declaration.
" Also, I can't wait to see you after the procedure! You'll be so out of it. It'll make a great movie for our next pack movie night!" Paul winked at me after giving me a smirk.
*Sigh* He just had to ruin the moment with his big mouth.
A nurse comes to get me once we're all checked in. I glance back at Paul one last time before going to the back. Taking a deep breath in I mentally prepare myself.
Paul's POV
I nervously look at my watch. It’s been 45 minutes already, why hasn’t she come out yet? If that doc messed anything up, today will be his last day practicing. Five more minutes pass and I get up to ask the front desk what’s taking so long. Before I reach the window, I can smell and hear Y/N coming.
The first glance at her made my heart turn to mush. The way she looked so out of it and helpless, reminded me of a drunk Y/N. But this drunk version of Y/N had regressed to a helpless toddler. Two nurses were holding onto her arms, trying their best to help her walk and make sure she didn’t fall to the ground. Apparently, Y/N was so out of it she didn’t know how to walk properly. The nurses were trying to get Y/N to lock her knees so that she wouldn’t collapse and take two nurses down with her. Deciding to put the nurses out of their misery, I walked up and took Y/N from them.
“Thank you, guys! I’m sorry for the trouble she caused you!” I waved them goodbye and they watched me now struggle to get a drugged up Y/N 50ft to our car.
We finally made it to the car and Y/N seemed to be slipping in and out of consciousness. Once I got her seatbelt on I encountered a new problem. Y/N kept flopping down to her left. Boy was her neck going to hurt when she woke up.
As we are about five minutes away from the office, Y/N jumps up from slouching, startling me to death. She turns her head slowly towards me and I see a look of confusion hidden by her glazed eyes.
In a muffled voice thanks to the gauze, she quietly asks, “Who are you?!”
I chuckle in my head. Out loud I tell her, “I’m Paul, your boyfriend.”
She gasps as best as she could and exclaims, “ You are?!” She then proceeds to slump back down as quickly as she jumped up earlier.
This is going to be so much fun. I glance over at her periodically. A smile is plastered on my face as I study her features. Her cheeks are protruding from the gauze in her mouth, giving her the essence of a chipmunk stuffing their mouth.
Suddenly, Y/N pops back up and stares at me with her deer in the headlight eyes. “Who are you?!”
Laughing once again, I tell her, “ I’m Paul, your boyfriend.” I wonder how many times we’ll go through this charade.
Surprised yet again, Y/N slumps back down into unconsciousness.
30 minutes pass and I think Y/N has allowed a deep sleep to take over. Boy was I wrong. Without warning yet again for what felt like the 20th time, my little chipmunk pops up again scaring the ever-loving Jesus out of me.
I hear her sniffing as if searching for something. Her face lights up like a child’s on Christmas Day. “I smell pizza!”
“You can’t have pizza. We have some soup for you at home.” As I give Y/N the news, her face quickly morphs into the face of a child being told no for the first time in their life. My heart broke at the sight of her face. I would give her all the pizza in the world to make her smile.
As if forgetting her discovery of pizza, Y/N takes another quick sniff and shouts, “ I smell pasta!” She’s clapping her hands with the biggest grin on her face.
Again I have to break her spirits and tell her about the soup. Instead of smelling something else, Y/N quickly slumps back into the unknown. Peace engulfs the car.
After about 5 more times of Y/N popping up and smelling foods, we finally make it to our apartment. Remembering how difficult it was to get her to walk with the nurses, dread came over me at the realization that we live on the 3rd floor of our complex and we don’t have an elevator. If at all possible, I wanted to avoid picking Y/N up like a rag doll. I didn’t feel like cleaning up puke this early in the morning. I make my way to Y/N’s side of the car. I gently shake her to wake her up.
Startled, she stares behind me, looking around. “ Where are we?”
“We are at home! Time to get you upstairs!” I make a motion to grab her right arm to support her. As I try and support Y/N with one arm, I silently curse myself for injuring my right arm. Even with my super wolf powers, to say that my left arm was severely lacking compared to my right was an understatement.
The first few steps towards our complex gave me false hope. Things seemed to be going fine, except Y/N kept blacking out. We almost fell face forward when she blanked out mid-step up the curb. If our neighbors saw us right now, they would definitely call the cops on me thinking I drugged Y/N and was going to do something bad to her. I would never in a million years do something as disgusting as that. People like that are cowards and should be destroyed.
We finally make it to the stairs after fumbling for a good 5 minutes only to have traveled a couple of feet. I stare up at the 3 flights of stairs we have to take, the journey looking daunting. Fed up with how slow and how little progress we have made, I decide to throw Y/N over my shoulder and walk up the stairs. I made sure to take the stairs slowly, trying not to push my luck, there would be no puke to clean up so help me God.
Three flights of stairs later and we land at our apartment. I set Y/N down and we make it to our bedroom. I stopped her right before the bed and tell her to turn and sit down hoping that she’ll turn and sit on the bed. Apparently, all she heard was sit, and down she slumped to the floor, almost taking me with her. As I huffed getting up, I stared at her sweet blissful face, almost getting mad at her, almost. I won’t admit it to Y/N, but I had more than half a mind to leave her on the floor. But I couldn’t do that to my precious Y/N. Trying again, I pick her up off the floor and I am able to successfully get her top front half onto the bed. Although it may look like she was being smothered, I took it as a small victory. That is until she started sliding back off of the bed. Quickly I used my good arm and knee to stop her from undoing all of my hard work. I slide her body onto the bed and take off her shoes. Immediately after getting her right shoe off, she flips over in the blink of an eye. I leap to the other side of the bed, praying she doesn’t roll off before I get there. Thankfully, our bed is king-sized, stopping her from exerting too much energy to continue rolling. Instead, her final position has her spread out like a starfish, on top of the covers with her goofy smile front and center. Needing a drink after this fiasco, I head to the kitchen and grab myself a beer. I slouch on the couch next to our husky, Meliodas, thinking of all the stories I can’t wait to tell Y/N when she wakes up.

Clothes on
Pairing: phan
Genre: smut
Summary: after what happened on Phil's house, he asks Dan to talk. One thing leads to another and he discovers Dan's neck is quite sensible
.....................
Promp request: If your open to promts, I would really love it if you did one about the first time phil discovered dan's neck thing. I've seen it done before but I just really love your writing! Thank you!!
A/N: Thank you so much for your kind words!! Sorry this took so long to write, I hope you enjoy!
part 1 here (read it before if you want some context)
........................
It's been a week since "the incident", as Dan calls it, the regret of it happening made an appearance about two days later when he had to take his chemistry exam and his mom told him not to worry and that the study-time with Phil would show up. With flushed cheeks Dan managed to get the best grade on his class, but also a semi erection.
Thank you, Lester.
On wednesday Louise, his best friend, mentioned how Phil hasn't been around much, meaning he didn't make insinuations towards Dan all week. Dan fakes a smile, not knowing how to respond to that and shocking himself at not being gratful for not having Phil and his inapropied comments around.
Is friday now and Phil is sitting in the table in front of Dan in the cafeteria. Well, Phil, his best friend PJ and a girl Dan has seen in a few clases but never learned her name. He is not rude, he just has a bad memory. The fact that she is sitting next to Phil has nothing to do about it, he swears.
Dan shakes his head and looks back at his food, Louise is busy taking her English exam and since they don't share that class, Dan is left to have lunch by himself. He looks up again at the same time the girl takes Phil's hand and pulls it into her lap. Phil goes with it, caressing her leg a little, just like last Saturday he did to Dan.
Stop. Dan tells himself, not wanting to go down that memory lane again and let alone in that moment.
When he focus his view one more time, he is meet with a pair of blue eyes looking back at him. Phil winks at him and Dan almost chokes on the fries he is eating. Obviously this doesn't go unnoticed by Phil, who smirks at him.
"Are you okay?" Phil mouths.
Dan rolls his eyes, turning away. But the older doesn't take that as an answer and walks towards Dan's table.
"Are you okay, Danny?"
"What do you care," Dan answers with an agressive tone than even surprises him.
"I do. Why are you so angry, though?"
Dan looks at Phil as he sits down, a look on his face that says "what are you doing?" but no words leave his mouth.
"Dan?"
"I'm not"
"You clearly are upsed" Phil points out. Is not like Dan's responses are the nicest towards him anyway, but he can tell something is up.
"Now you know me?"
"Is because of last week?" Dan looks at him with a mix of shock and shyness on his face. And that's enough for an answer. "Dan-"
"Don't" he cuts Phil off. But blue eyes look and him sternly.
"We have to talk. After school, I'll take you home."
Phil doesn't wait for an answer and Dan doesn't bother on even thinking on one. He knows Phil will wait for him either way and even if Dan tries to avoid him, they are neighbours so that wouldn't last long.
...
Just as expected, Phil is waiting for him on his car right in front of the school, Dan climbs in after telling Louise is something his parents make him do, so she doesn't ask more questions.
"I thought you wanted to talk," Dan says after they ride in silence for a few minutes.
"You're so angry today"
"You already pointed that out."
"And I made a question you didn't answer." Phil's actitud changes to a serious one, making Dan more nervious about the conversation.
"Why would I be angry about that?"
"You are. What I want to know is why."
"I don't know" he answers because he honestly doesn't know what makes him angry. He wasn't angry after it happened, in fact he felt pretty good but he is not telling that to Phil. He wasn't angry when the exam bonner happened, he was embarrassed. He wasn't angry when Phil wasn't paying attention to him anymore, he was sad.
Wait.
"Oh..." Dan let's out in realization.
"What?"
"N-nothing."
"Dan." Phil turns to look at him, only to see Dan is fidgeting with his sweater's sleeves to then focus on the road again. "Listen, I'm not gonna force you to talk to me, but if I did something that made you mad you need to let me know so I can apologize."
There's silence in the car once again until Phil parks in front of Dan's house and the younger one doesn't get out.
"I've never done that." Dan says, and as he noticed Phil is confuse, adds. "I mean, I've make out before, but you know... Never... Not like... What we did."
"Oh" now is Phil's turns to realizes things. "Dan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pressure yo-"
But he still doesn't get it.
"No, no." Dan cuts him off, again. "That's okay. You didn't pressure me into it... I enjoyed it..."
Phil can't help but smile a little at that confession.
"Don't get cocky" Dan demands when he sees him.
"Sorry. Why are you upset then?"
"You didn't..." he takes deep breath, "you stoped being around, you didn't say anything to me the whole week. And then," Dan stops himself not sure if he wants to keep telling Phil all about how he feels.
"And then?" Phil encouraged, he has turn around all he can in his seat to look at Dan properly.
"A-and then... In the cafeteria your hand was on her lap and I..."
"And you got jealous?" Phil is a bit surprise and chuckles, finding Dan adorable for acting all shy about it.
"Is not funny!"
"No, is cute"
"Phiiiiil!" Dan covers his face with his hands, feeling how warm it is from the embarrassment of the confessions he just made.
"Aw, baby. I'm sorry," Phil tries to moves his hands away. "Sorry for saying you are cute when you are the cutest"
Dan groans and uncovers his face to glare at Phil.
"Sorry for not talking to you, too." Phil continues, "I thought it was better to give you some space, I didn't know how you would react if I approached you,"
"And..." Dan urges him to go on.
"And I'm sorry I let Lenna put my hand on her lap."
Dan smiles at him, Phil words are genuine but his curiosity (and jealousy) gets the best of Dan and asks "why did you let her?"
"Because you were looking" Phil answers with a smirk and Dan kind of wants to punch him. But Phil is quicker than him and closes the space between them and in a matter of seconds their lips are barely touching.
"Wanted to see if you got jealous," he moves his mouth closer to Dan's ear, "Wanted to see your reaction so I'll know if you were interested in more"
"M-more?"
"Uh-uh" Phil kiss his neck softly, "In me. In us." he leaves another kiss, a bit more firm and it causes Dan to tremble. "Are you, baby?"
"We... We should go inside." Dan answers, finding the will power to move Phil away and open the car's door. Leaving Phil to chuckle victorously to himself.
Dan managed to open the door to his house and leads them into his room without Phil taking off his clothes until they are upstairs.
"This is my room" Dan says nervously, covering his shaky hands with his sweater sleeves once again.
"Is nice." Phil says, looking around in his way to sit on the bed. "C'mon here,"
Dan obeys and walks to stand in front of him. Phil holds his hands, "I know people think I'm an asshole and just fuck around but I'm not, Dan. I mean, yes, I've had sex with some people," this is not a surprise to the youngest and he appreciates Phil's honesty, "but if you don't want to do anything we don't have to. If you want to stop, you tell me and I'll stop, okay?"
Dan nods, looking at Phil's eyes to know he means it and then back to his hands that even when they are been hold by Phil, are still shaking.
Phil pulls him in, puts Dan's hands on his own shoulders and holds Dan by his waist until he gets the hint of what Phil is asking for. Dan straddles his neighbor and is pretty sure the guy can feels how his heart is beating so fast.
"Fuck, this is a nice view." Phil says, getting back Dan's attention. "You in my lap, all flushed. You look so damn good."
"P-phil..." the youngest wishpers
"Tell me what you want, baby boy"
"K-kiss me?"
They meet in the middle, Dan has to bend a little since in this position he is taller than Phil for once. The kiss is a bit messy at first, the tension of the whole week making its way into it but soon they find a rhythm, one that is soon follow by Phil's hips bucking up into Dan's ass.
"Hmmm" Dan moans against Phil lips at the actions.
"I missed those sounds" Phil breaks the kiss, letting Dan breath and his moans to not be muffle. If there is something he regrets about last week is the fact they have to keep quite and he couldn't hear them properly.
Phil takes a look at Dan's face, noticing how the pink on his face match the color of his sweater and how his lips open to let out a moan when Phil repeats the movement with his hips.
"So hot," Phil murmurs against his lips, kissing him firmly before kissing his jawn and making his way to Dan's neck, making him shiver when his lips touch a particular spot, the same way it happened in the car. Bringing one of his hands up, he tills Dan's head to the side, making room for himself, and testing a theory he kiss him there once again.
"Aaah" Dan moans particularly loud and his hips move against Phil's erection, causing the oldest to groan, his lips still on Dan's neck and causing pleasure once again.
"Oh god!" Dan is glad both his parents work until late and he has the house for himself all afternoon. He knew his neck was a sensible place for him, but didn't expected to have that reaction to Phil kissing him. Maybe is the contrast of Phil's soft, warm lips and the cold, hash feeling of the olderst' piercing against his neck at the same time. Or the movements that are just a reflection of how much experience he has compared to Dan.
Either way, it feels like nothing the has feel before.
One of his hands moves up to the back of the punk's head, but he doesn't know if he wants Phil to stop or continue, so for a second his fingers just play with the black hair. Phil takes all that as encouragement and sucks Dan's skin into his mouth, just hard enough to leave a mark, and gently so it stills feels good for the guy in his lap. Dan moans even harder in respond and tugs at Phil's hair.
Phil licks the spot after leting go, sutting the pain a bit and sending more shivers down Dan spine. "You're sensible there," he says all proud of himself. And keeps kissing to see if he can find another good spot.
Dan is overwhelmed, he is just sitting in Phil's lap moaning not even realising he is humping against Phil until the oldest holds him by the waist, stoping Dan's movements.
Dan groans, words are to much work for his horny brain and sounds are his only way of communication right now. Phil finds this funny aparently, he is chuckling against Dan's neck while he kisses and licks.
"I think you can cum just by this," he says refering to the actions with his lips, "you're so horny anyway, all I need to do is kiss here," he touch slightly with his thumb, "and suck here" this time he kisses, "and you could cum untouched. Should we try, baby?" he kiss again, Dan moans predictably and tries to move his hips unsuccessfully.
"Yes, yes. Please... I-I need t-"
Dan doesn't finished his sentence because Phil's lips are moving right after the first 'yes'. He sucks particularly hard, this time making sure it leaves a mark and Dan throws back his head screaming in pleasure as he hits his climax.
Phil holds him for a second, but can't help the movements of his own body as he sees the image in front of him. "F-fuck, Dan." he groans, doing his best to not just buck his hard on into Dan's ass right there and then.
Dan moans at the feeling, puching down into Phil. "You're hard" he says dumbly, still a bit out of breath.
"How can I not? You just came from a hickey sitting on my lap,"
"Ughh" Dan complains, embarrassed by what just happened, hidding his face against Phil's neck, who laughs lightly, only causing more friction against his own erection. He moans and Dan push down again.
"You wanna help me cum?"
"Uh-uh" Dan nods.
"Shit. You really are incredibly hot." he holds Dan by his hips once again, moving him in a rhythm Phil finds satisfying.
Dan holds against the leather jacket Phil is wearing while letting him have control of his body's movements as the older pleases for his own satisfaction. Groans leave the youngest throat as the movements become more rough, Phil stops moving Dan's hips and now is bucking into him while holding the chestnut in place. Is like he is fucking into him and that thought is just what Dan needs to let out another loud moan.
"You like that?" Phil asks satisfactorily, "You would love for me to fuck you, don't you? Oh god, I'll love to do it, baby." he rambles, himself moaning too at the thought of what that would feel like. The encounter of last week giving him a good idea of it, "I'll love for you to ride me," he admits, "Just like this but without clothes, nothing between us. Oh, that would be so fucking good. Tell me you wan it, babyboy."
"I-i want it." Dan answers as fast as he cans. And he knows he is not as experience as Phil in the matter, but seeing him so turn on gives Dan confidence to keep talking. "I want you to fuck me. Want to ride you. Want to feel your cock inside me, d-daddy."
Hearing Dan, the innocent soft boy, saying those things and calling him that is what helps him reach his orgasm.
"F-fuck," He bucks up particularly hard as he cums agains Dan's ass, imagining what it would actually feel to cum inside of him.

OK, scratch that other and let me replace with Kero & Yue and an abandoned or empty place!
Kero + Yue + V
"Knewww you'd be here!" Kero shakes himself out till he's a more comfortable size.
"Keroberos. We're outside."
"Like you blend in."
Yue looks away, and the win goes to Kero. It's true, he's following Sakura's rules with his mouth, but acting like it's much longer ago. Clow didn't care. Lie around, wings out, in full view of the neighbors, whatever. Anyone could call him a witch, and he'd agree wholeheartedly. So straightforward, right? A bit of an oddball, but honest.
Or something.
Kero makes no attempt to go into the house.
"Anyway," he stalls, "Do I know you or what? The second they move out, bam, there you are-"
"I was invited."
"Wait, what?"
Yue glides past him through the doorway. Kero hangs back as much as he can.
"When was this, I never got a call!"
"Earlier. He said to let everyone know to take what they want now, because all the furniture's being shipped over to him in a few days. And then..."
"And then?"
"And then the house is being torn down."
Kero whistles.
"Man. I can't believe it. Are Sakura and the cards already here?"
Yue pauses in his tracks, looks over his shoulder guiltily.
"She's in school right now. I'm going to let her know as soon as that's over."
"Ahh, I see. Safety-checking first. Smart."
Yue raises an eyebrow.
"What's there to safety-check?"
Kero gives him a look that says What, are you stupid?
"Uhhhh, because it's been a while? We knew what not to touch when we were used to it but, A, we super aren't anymore, and B, our good friend Eriol may have inherited the tendency to leave a surprise behind him?"
"He said it would be safe," Yue says, like that confirms everything, and Kero only lets it go because it means he asked.
The house, inside, is new and old and old and new and undeniably heavy on their heads. The longer they spend in the house the less of his cheerful self Kero is. His shoulders grow hunched, his tail tense, pointing sharply outward, keeping his balance, his ears flattened.
He stalks around the empty kitchen, paws through cabinets, commenting- "Oh, Sakura would love these little plates." "Score, he left like, a full cabinet of spices!" "Eeeeyuck, aughhh, that's not ketchup, that's a potion."
"I thought you were the one worried about safety?" Yue says. He nearly smiles.
"Exactly! And now Sakura won't make my mistakes." Kero crosses his eyes, sticks out his tongue- it's changing colors rapidly. Nearly laughs, nearly relaxes his posture, then thinks better of it. Yue actually giggles. God, everything goes topsy turvy in this place.
"Hey, Yue," Kero says, a bit unkindly, "You want your old mug back?"
"He kept it?" Yue asks, breathless. It's an old joke. Little more than a handle on a ceramic crescent moon.
"Sure did. Kept most of his old stuff, from the look of it-" (suddenly Yue has gone from picking at the corner of a tablecloth to directly over Kero's shoulder) "-and added a lotta things, too. Oooh, butterfly cookie cutters!"
Yue, elbow deep in a cutlery drawer (Yukito might want this ladle), loses interest as soon as he sees how much is unfamiliar.
This place changes him too, not just Kero. Feet on the ground and the house feels even larger for doing so, or he feels smaller, doesn't matter. He holds a new pan over an old stove, mimics flipping something as if to try and understand the last person who did so, looking somewhere between awe and joy and misery.
Kero decides, and this is how you know he's really shaken, that he's had enough of poking around the kitchen. He pads into the living room.
"Hey, he took the chair!"
That gets Yue's attention.
"So he did."
"He took the chair with him immediately. Didn't wanna risk any of us taking his bad vibes chair. The guy's a hoot."
There isn't a single photo of the old crowd, Kero notices. Lots of art, most new, and a few pictures of Spinel and Ruby in old frames. He doesn't say anything about that.
"I'm glad we're doing this together," he says instead. "Nobody should be in this house alone. Even Eriol knew that, bet that's why he made those two. Probably why it'll get torn down now."
"I can't believe it..." Yue says. "Torn down." He realizes fully what will happen and grows mournful, like the house is about to be executed. "He's never done this before."
This is true. Clow and his- household? Creations? Disciples? Kiddos? Roommates? Clow and his roommates have moved many times, but the empty houses generally got taken over by some relative or other, or occasionally preserved for a later return. There's one, at least, that's a proper haunted house now, and these days it sells tickets every October. Clow always, always, built things with eternity in mind. This is a first. When Kero reaches the end of that thought, he understands.
"To distinguish himself, I guess. But in a way I actually agree with him there. Maybe I'm just biased..." he thinks about hopping up in his old window seat- in Spinel's old window seat. He doesn't. "But I'll be glad to see it go."
"Why?" Yue whispers. He's daring Kero to say something he'll disagree with. Kero knows it, takes the bait anyway- is it bait if you know good and well what you're doing?
"It's a bad place, Yue. Bad things happened here. It's full of that feeling."
"Don't say that," Yue says, near begging, "about one of our homes."
"It stopped being my home when it was taken from me," Kero says sharply.
"It was given back."
Kero hisses.
"Oh, I'm so glad-" he starts, full of fire and poison, and then cuts himself off. He looks away from Yue, takes a deep breath. Yue hasn't seen him do that in a long, long time. Sometimes, when it's obvious to even someone oblivious and hotheaded as Keroberos....
"All right." he agrees, flatly, defeated. It's worse to be given up on entirely than to be argued with. "It was given back to us."
"Tell me when you want to go upstairs," Yue says, staring deep into the empty fireplace, basking in the warmth of the fire that was here decades ago, avoiding the burn of the one that was there a few months before. "I'll go with you."
"Do you want to?" Kero's voice is low, quiet. He bumps Yue's leg with his cheek. "You could stay at the foot of the stairs."
"Mmm... yes. I'll go."
"Cry it out before the others get here too. Smart."
"I'm not going to cry."
"You'd better, or Yukito'll be bawling on your behalf."

Flower Song - c. 3 - JJ Maybank
Request: So Ik you said you’re not taking request but I had an idea for your creedance (?? I already forgot what it’s called sorry my memory is fucked) series where you’re babysitting your niece again and you ask JJ to help her change and everything after a bath and you walk into the room and hear him singing the flower song from Tangled :( I could just imagine him softly singing while she’s drowsy trying to fight sleep so that they can continue singing 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
A/N: I really just need to write fluff.

You were on the phone with your sister, cleaning up the bathroom after Bea’s bath, throwing towels in the hamper to take to the laundromat tomorrow morning, while JJ put your niece to bed.
She was the only four year old that you knew who was capable of turning bath time into a mess, rubber duck toys and a Seasame Street submarine lay in the wreckage as you scrubbed some forgotten bubble bath out of the tub and promised your sister that everything was under control.
“Yeah, she’s been great. I’m gonna go put her to bed now.” You said, putting her toys in a basket and rearranging the bottles of wash and shampoo.
Your sister’s husband had a work trip to Hawaii for two weeks and your sister had jumped at the opportunity to go along, leaving you in charge of Bea and the house. It was less than ten minutes after your sister had pulled out of the driveway that JJ had ridden his dirt bike up, backpack on, with every intention of staying for the two weeks. Your sister and your brother-in-law liked to travel, usually without their daughter, and you were happy to have the house because it meant another place that JJ could crash. And because you couldn’t help the escape into your brain, playing some sort of convoluted pretend that you and JJ were together and this was your house and your kid. It was innocent, really.
“Are you listening?” Your sister stressed, voice an octave higher than necessary.
“Yes, what?”
“Miss Lana said she saw JJ around yesterday,” your sister said, ratting your neighbor out as a snitch, “no boys, remember?”
“He stopped by for like .2 seconds.” You lied.
“I don’t want guys in the house. This isn’t some excuse for you to have your boyfriend over.” She replied, trying for the sternness that your mom had at some point, long before you could remember. Neither of you really knew how to be parents, siblings, children. It was all just a part you played.
“No guys, I swear.”
“We’ll be home next Tuesday,” she promised.
Once she was off the phone you finished in the bathroom and headed down the hall to Bea’s room. You’d left JJ in charge of putting your niece to bed once the phone rang and you realized it was your sister. He’d taken the toddler down the hall, holding her in his arms when she complained that she was too cold to walk by herself.
JJ had taken her into her bedroom and set her on the bed, going to her dresser to pull out pajamas. “Alright your highness, which pair? Butterflies or...penguins?” He asked, holding the two oversized t-shirts up for her. She stood on the bed, wrapped in her frog towel, the hood up over her wet hair, lips pursed as she thought over her options.
“Butterflies!” She pointed to the one on the left and he stuffed the penguin shirt back in, making her laugh when the drawer wouldn’t close all the way.
“We don’t know who did that.” He teased, giving her clothes to dress in while he checked the shelf for a book. He knew the night routine better than her own dad. JJ had been helping you take care of Bea long enough that it was second nature.
“No books!” She announced, tossing her towel across the room with a flourish and flopping onto the bed.
“No books? What then?” He laughed, coming over to sit on the side of her bed. She sat against the pillows, her arms around the stuffed bear JJ had bought her for her birthday.
“Sing!” Bea decided, “the flower song!”
The three of you had watched Tangled three times in the last two days; it was her new favorite movie and she was slowly learning key words in the songs. JJ knew exactly what song she was talking about. “Alright but I’m warning you my voice is not up to Flynn Ryder level.”
“Flynn doesn’t sing that song.” She giggled.
“Right, well I’m no Rapunzel either,” he pointed out though he knew it wouldn’t keep him from singing if Bea asked.
He really did love being here, spending time with you and Bea gave him that sense of family that he’d never gotten to experience in his own home. He knew you were a lot like him, carving out places on the island where you could belong but none of them ever feeling quite like a home. This, the three of you together, was the most home he’d ever felt in one place. And he loved Bea but that wasn’t the reason he’d started volunteering to babysit with you. He was trying his hardest to show you that he was responsible, that he would be a good boyfriend, and hoping that maybe you would change your mind about being just friends. You didn’t know he felt that way about you, he’d never said anything, but after your slip two weeks ago he couldn’t help hoping that you saying you loved him meant you actually loved him.
You carried the full laundry basket down to the front door before heading back upstairs to check on Bea and JJ. Since your sister was gone, he had been staying in your room while you slept in your sister’s room to be closer to Bea in case, she needed you. Once you reached the top of the steps you could hear the familiar sound of JJ’s off-key voice and Bea’s half-singing/half-shouting to a song from Tangled. You stopped just outside the door, listening as JJ repeated the song over, biting your lip to stop yourself from making any noise. You could hear Bea starting to waver in her wakefulness and you backed up further toward the stairs.
-
“You can pretend to wash dishes all you want, I know you were listening to my incredible singing skills.” JJ teased, coming into the kitchen and pulling himself up onto the counter beside the sink.
“I wouldn’t call them incredible...I also wouldn’t call it singing.” You replied, jumping back when he flicked water at you. “JJ!”
“Don’t be mean to me. I single-handedly put Bea to bed...that’s some record shit right there.”
“Yes it was, I’m in awe of your child rearing abilities Jay. I can only hope to be as good with kids as you someday.” You said, rolling your eyes at him.
“I’ll teach you my ways. For a price.” He added as an afterthought.
“A price? What kind of price?” You asked, “ice cream allowance?”
“A date.”
You paused, water pouring over your hands and the plate you were halfway done scrubbing dinner off of, heart pounding in your chest at his suggestion. You tried to calm yourself down, remind yourself that it was all probably a joke on his part. Just JJ being funny. “A date?” You couldn’t help asking though.
“Yeah. You, me, Bea can even come, a movie, maybe dinner. Possibly just some netflix and chill.” He replied, “A date.”
“Are you shitting me right now Jay?”
“No, I’m dead serious. I wanna go on a date with you.” He said, “so lets go.”
“Okay.”
“Okay.” JJ slipped off the counter and leaned over, kissing your cheek. “I’ll see you in the morning. We can talk day and time.”
“See you in the morning.”
You watched him walk to your bedroom and close the door behind him, fighting the urge to let out some embarrassing version of a squeal once he had disappeared, knowing that he would definitely hear you. Part of you didn’t care though, he had asked you on a date, something you had been imagining for so long now that you still had trouble believing the conversation you’d just had actually happened.

Masterlist.
You can’t lie. The fire warning from a location close to Vicki’s house surprised you. In less than fifteen seconds you are already wearing the heavy equipment, ready to drive the fire truck through the border of Santa Madre, crossing it by the private door you have to avoid the fact to wait for other cars to step aside and let you pass them away. The sirens can be heard all around the mexicali dessert, speeding up as soon as you see the smoke screen close to Riz’s lands, with furious engulfing blazes burning down a whole house. The police patrols are leading you the road, having to overtake them because of their low velocity. That doesn’t help you, and your boss shouting at you to do it either. Stopping the wheels dead with a dry noise, you all jump out of the heavy vehicle under the attentive looks of the neighbors. But you can’t think about it, about their whispers, not about the guys looking at you from Vicki’s porch. You’re too busy hearing the orders while García helps you to wear the equipment and the helmet covering your head completely. A house. Two floors. One garage. Kitchen, bathroom and living room in the first one. Three dorms, two bathrooms and a built-it closet in the hallway. A woman screaming through the second window on the top floor at your left.
Your legs move faster than ever, as they trained you for years. You’re leading the team, organizing where they must go. Two men on the first floor. Two women and you on the second one, while the other four are outside trying to set off the burning with the hoses from the truck. Whenever you cross a door, it’s like coming into hell. The heat is scorching. You can feel how your body melts because of it, going upstairs and controlling the fire around you to not get fucked up by an unexpected flame. The doors are closed, grabbing the axe on your back to hit the center of them, so the rooms can breathe a little. Knowing by that technique where the fire originated. The color of the smoke says a lot about it. The blacker, the closer you are to the epicenter.
“BE FUCKING HURRY, TEAM! THIS SHIT IS GONNA FALL DOWN!” You scream, as loud as your throat let you, while they begin to explore the dorms.
It’s easy to find the mother and her children, feeling some water refresh your equipment when you get closer to a window. You’re always the last one to go downstairs, making sure no one else is there. Through the walkie you can hear your boss shouting at you to go out, before the house gets destroyed. The water is not helping to turn off the fire. But when you’re about to do it, you hear a high-pitched cry coming from the built-it closet. Closed. With all your force, you hit the doorknob to break it and open it. A small dog jumps into you, scared, crying and moving his tale. A mix of emotions that you’re fast to deal with. Leaving the axe on the floor, you open your jacket to tuck him under it, zipping it again to protect him from the flames. He’s not going to die there, and later you will figure out why he was locked down inside a wardrobe. Running again towards the stairs, you have to throw yourself back when a roof wooden beam falls over them, covered into flames. Just one second. You have just one second to go backwards, disconnecting from the world, from the screams of your boss, from the screams of your mates calling you through the walkie. Just one second to remember where the whiter smoke was. Just one second that can cost your life if you don’t act quickly. You’ve been in worse shit than this. Fuck, you will adopt that cute puppy that just in one second stole your heart. And you smile at him, just one second.
Turning around above the heavy boots, you run to the second dorm kicking the door to come in. The flames are burning down the walls, leaving enough space to reach the window. Hitting the glass with your elbow to break it, you stick your head out.
“BRING THE BLANKET! BRING THE FUCKING BLANKET!”
As soon as your team finds you, they run to the fire truck to grab a big blanket to positionate themselves under the windows, stretching it high enough to jump onto it. You take just one second to surround your chest with both arms, holding the dog tightly under your grip, before placing a leg over the frame to boost yourself out. In the fall, you turn your body to give them your back. You can feel the animal stirring scared under your arms, hugging him a little more, until bouncing twice on it. Your team helps you to get up when they leave you on the floor, unzipping your jacket to calm the dog crying, under the claps and the cheerings of the viewers there as if it was a fucking tv show. No, that’s not Chicago Fire mexicali version. That's real life, where you can die in just one second.
Your girls from the hospital unit grab the dog to put him in an air mask, checking that he’s okay while you take off the equipment with some help. Your boss spills a water bottle over you, when you are already off from the uniform to refresh your skin and your face.
“WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING ABOUT, (Y/N)?!”
“I COULDN'T LEAVE HIM THERE! WHY THE FUCK HE WAS LOCKED DOWN?”
You try to find the family between the patrols, the gossips and your team. But before you can find them being assisted by the paramedics, you find the crew. They’re assorted looking at you and, among them, Creeper on the brink of collapse. His face is the last thing you see before falter to the ground, with your heartbeat over the sky.
You have a deep breath, taking off the mask that covers your face, coughing and puking some salive over the edge of the hospital bed. Bewildered and stunned you try to focus your gaze, hearing a lot of voices like far echoes. The light is blinding you, putting a hand on your eyes and shaking your head, while the calls get clarified, finally hearing your name. A doctor takes off your hand to cheek your pupils and your throat. Apparently, you swallowed too much smoke and that provoked you to faint. You can hear how he talks with some men, assuring them that you’re okay and that you just need to rest.
“My mo-mouth… tastes like… ugh, shit”. You cough again, feeling some pain doing it. “Tastes like a fucking… ashtray”.
The soft laughs flood the room, opening slightly your eyes enough to see your boss, Bishop, Marcus and Creeper close to the bed. Your boyfriend sits on the edge, holding your hands and leaning forward to kiss your forehead, pulling away some bristles of your hair.
“Damn, mami… You scared the shit outta me…” He whispers with a low broken thread of voice.
“I bet you… were… fe-feeling hotter th-than that house, watching me in… action”. You mutter between some more coughs.
“(Y/N), how do you feel?” Carlos, your boss, comes closer to caress your left cheek.
“Ready to… work tomorrow, jefe”.
“Yeah, fuck you, (Y/N)”. He replies breaking into laughs. “I will sign your withdrawal for some days. Rest as much as you can, arai’?”
“Yes, daddy, I’ll… be a go-good girl”. You joke with him, before seeing him leave the room to keep your mates informed.
“Do you need anything, querida?”
“Nah, Bish… I’m just tired”. You answer trying to get up on your forearms with Creeper helping you to lie somewhat comfy. “Where’s the dog?”
“Frankie is taking care of him in the station, until you get out. He thought that maybe you wanted to adopt him”.
Your eyes go up to your boyfriend, twisting his neck assorted on caressing your hands.
“Neron?”
“Hm…?” Shaking his head, he comes back to the real world. “Yeah… Yeah, sure. We can bring him with us”.
“We will let you rest, mija”. El Padrino narrows one of your feet, sending you a kiss through the air before leaving the room and closing the door.
“You okay?” You ask then, coupling your body among Creeper's arms.
“You know…” The half mexican clicks his tongue, accommodating his head on the pillow lying down. “I like your job, it's cool and you save lives, but… I've never seen you working and that… shit really scared me, baby. Seeing you jump outta the window, the explosion after that…”
“Wait. What explosion?”
“You were leaving in the ambulance when it happened, I saw it through ma' mirror”.
“Aw, you were following me like a doggy?” You tease him hugging his back, and pecking his face.
“Shut up, crazy bitch… I was fuckin' worried thinking I've lost you”.
“Nah… not until you… motherfucker… ask me to marry you”. Pointing his chest with your forefinger, chuckling, you highlight every word. “Then, I can die”.
“Ain't gonna propose to you to keep you alive”. He says laughing, while you hit his chest with pursed lips. “I fuckin' love you, mami. If I lose you, I die”.
“Now you know how I feel every time you leave our home, Creeper”.
“Yeah, okay, but do you love me too or what? I'm trying to be fuckin' romantic”.
You laugh again between some coughs, covering your mouth with a hand.
“Let me show you how much, papi”. You mutter raising a leg over his waist, to push him closer.
“No, no, no… We ain't gonna fuck here”. He breaks into laughs, trying to survive to your puppy eyes. “Shit, no. Someone could enter…”
“And, what? I was about to die, they will understand it”. You sob trying to pity him.
“You can make any efforts”. He says pulling away your leg, but it comes back holding him tighter.
“Touch me at least… C'mon, Neron… please…”
“Baby, stop moving!” You can't help but rub your body against his, complaining with some noises.
“C'mon Just a little… please”.
“Bab—”.
“C'mon! You know you will end up doing it…”
“Fuck… I fucking hate you, bitch”.
“Okay, douchebag, I get it. But touch me”. You beg him biting his lower lip.
“If you feel like you're dro—”.
“Fucking touch me, Neron”.
The man laughs softly, moving his hand on your waist down to your pelvis, tucking it under the green pants of the hospital. Creeper has the other arm surrounding your neck, while your fingers get tangled in his shirt as he's closer. His fingertips tour the fabric of your panties, pressing the center slightly moistened, licking your lips with his tongue before kissing you. Lying a little on the mattress, your boyfriend accommodates himself over one of his sides while you curl your right leg.
“Don' fuckin' scare me again, ah?” He whispers onto your lips, with his dark eyes fixed on yours. You just nod leaving a short kiss on his lips.
When you feel one of his fingers easily sliding into you, you can’t help but have a breath biting your lip. He does it slowly, enjoying every gesture on your face, pulling it back with the same pace to thrust you again. He’s torturing you, and you know it, as if it was a punishment for worrying him. But soon, his hand begin to move somewhat faster, containing some moans to avoid being heard by the doctors and the patients that walk through the hallway. Creeper loves when you fuck in public, hiding from the rest, and you have to try to be the most silent possible. Your hands press his head when he strokes your needy clit, gasping straight to his lips and closing your eyes for some seconds. Now it feels better than ever, having thought just for one second that it wouldn’t happen again.
“Do you think you can have another finger, ah?”
“Shit, yes, Creep'”.
A fleeting smile appears on his mouth, pounding you without expecting to be this fast. You have to collide your lips against his when you experiment that pleasure, bringing his hand to your limits, to drown a delighted scream. You're so wet that he can drown them inside your pussy without doing any efforts, fucking you as you begged some seconds ago. The fact that you can be caught for a nurse and that he's constantly drinking your gestures, maintaining your gaze with his, makes you feel out of control moving your waist against his hand.
“Fuck, papi…”
“You want a third?” He asks with his voice getting somewhat hoarsely.
“Please… Please”. You whisper with some difficulties because of your breath.
“Enjoy it, mami”.
The third finger gets digged into you harder, covering your mouth with a hand that your boyfriend slaps and takes to the back of his head.
“You asked for, carry with consequences”. He growls speeding up the moves of his wrist.
“Fuck, Neron…” You cry resting your forehead on his over the pillow. “Make me cum, please… I need you to do it”.
The half mexican kisses you, tucking his tongue inside your mouth in a filthy kiss, desperate for finding yours and mixing your salivas. One of the things he loves the most is when you beg him, being at the edge of the orgasm and spreading your legs for him, to do with you whatever he wants.
“Not yet, baby”. He denies shaking his head and pulling away his hands from your pants.
“'Fuck you doing, Neron?” You complain frowning, out of air. “If you don't finish, I'm gonna rip off every tat—”.
“Pull off your clothes”. He interrupts you chuckling, and grabbing your throat with his wet fingers.
Arching your back and sliding the pants and the panties through your legs, he helps you with the horrible green shirt.
“Open your legs”.
“Wh—”.
“(Y/N), open your legs”. He demands squeezing one of your thighs.
At the moment you obey, he settles himself between them crawling down your stomach without taking off his eyes from you. Sitting up on your forearms, lying against the bed backrest, Creeper sinks his face in your wet pussy sucking your clit in the meantime you place your legs over his shoulders. If there is something he does like a master is eating you out. His tongue toures your entrance and your clit with passion, pounding you with the same three fingers that started that game of being silent. He knows well what you like, how you like it and where he has to press to make you cum.
You can't help but place both hands on his head, caressing his back with your shaky legs, putting you closer from the ecstasy by hitting your g-spot with his long fingers. A soft moan escapes inevitably from your throat when his free hand finds your breasts, pinching one of your nipples, massaging and squeezing it brisling every inch of your skin. Your eyes are on him, watching how much he is enjoying pleasing you, but controlling your breathing to not make you cough. If you do it, he will stop and you will be lost. But you're okay. More than okay. His warm mouth devouring you is like touching the sky, the effort he makes to tease you and make you cry out his name, wanting someone to hear you. But you're an expert. He has done it a lot of times and you always win.
“I'm so close, papi…” You mutter with a trembling voice, arching slightly your back, when his fingers go harder and faster nailing in your wetness.
And it doesn't take you much more, covering your mouth with both hands and closing your eyelids, drowning his full name on your palms. Creeper pulls out his fingers, nailing both hands on your thighs, drinking your juices desperate to taste you until your body can't fight anymore against his lips sucking you out.
“Fuck, baby”. He says after leaving a last lick all over your pleased pussy with the full extension of his tongue, crawling up to your mouth while your legs get intertwined with his. “You're my favorite meal”.
“I want you to fuck me, please”. You beg him between some kisses, trying to recover the air. “I can feel you… so fucking hard, Neron…”
“Not until we're home”. He rejects you wrapping your body with both tattooed arms. “For the moment, settle for this”.
“Papi…”
“No”. He repeats biting your lower lip, rubbing the rigid fabric of his jeans against your wet core, making you moan again.
“You're wanting it as bad as I want it”.
“I just want you to get better. Then, I'll fuck my future wife all the time she asks me for”.
