Anderson’s Guide to the Birds of North America, Chapter 1: Lover Boy

Summary: Fourteen scenes from the lives of Blaine Anderson, grad student and avid birder, and Kurt Hummel, clothing designer and Vogue writer, from before their first meeting in the spring of 2020 through falling in love.

Note: Back during the COVID lockdowns I wrote a couple hundred words of Klaine lockdown meet-cute. I thought I would write more, but I guess I didn't feel like writing about the COVID lockdown during the COVID lockdown, so I never did and I never posted the tiny bit I had written. Thanks to Klaine Valentine’s Challenge 2025, I’m finally doing the thing! I'm trying to keep each chapter to around 500 words. Thanks @spaceorphan!

Chapter 1: Lover Boy

Blaine was going to go insane.

He knew he should be grateful. He had it better than a lot of other people. He didn't have to worry about where his next paycheck was coming from, because he didn't get a paycheck, because he was an idiot who had, for some reason, decided his fascination with birds was enough to carry him through another five years of school at minimum after completing college. More to the point, he received monthly distributions from a trust fund his grandparents had set up for him in their wills, and though it didn't make him filthy rich, it gave him enough to live on without having to worry about finances.

But he never would have moved in with Cooper if he’d known they'd be locked up together for weeks (or would it be months?) on end. He loved his brother, but his brother was a lot. At least they had separate bedrooms, plus Cooper had the recording studio and was staying fairly busy with audiobook work. Unfortunately, Cooper did not keep all of his acting and voice exercises to the studio. Nor did he keep his opinions to himself, no matter how many times Blaine said, “I'm not changing what I'm making for dinner,” and “This is what I choose to wear and your opinion has no bearing on the matter,” and “I'm sorry you can't go to the gym, but no, you do not have my permission to use me as a dumbbell for bench presses.”

Blaine was spending increasing amounts of time shut in his bedroom with ear plugs and noise canceling headphones on, working on compiling and coding his field research notes and, when that became too tiresome, checking recently submitted species sightings on ebird.org for potential errors.

Today, he was listening to his Upbeat Sexy With a Twist of Romance playlist—the one he used to listen to while getting dressed for a night out on the town. Oh, what a different time that had been. Now instead of gelling his hair while crooning along to Freddie Mercury singing Ooh, love, ooh, loverboy, whatcha doin’ tonight?  while hoping to get laid or better yet find love, he was bobbing along to the song while entering numbers into a spreadsheet.

But that could be good, too. The rhythm of the music combined with the spreadsheet sent him into a near hypnotic trance that made him forget time and boredom and COVID. It was as close as Blaine got to heaven these days.

A sudden weight on his shoulder jarred him out of his trance.

His brother period of course. Just when Blaine’s mind had found some semblance of peace, Cooper had to disturb it.

He removed his headphones and one ear plug. “What is it, Coop?”

“New lockdown project: I’m going to turbocharge my manscaping routine. I need waxing tips.”

“You interrupted my work for that?”

Cooper waved at the computer screen dismissively. “You should be thanking me. That must be incredibly boring. What do all those numbers even mean?”

Blaine looked at his brother. He looked at the numbers. He looked at his brother again. “I mean this with all due respect, but I seriously want to kill you right now.” He closed his eyes. He took a breath. “I'm going for a walk.”

Blaine had already been for a walk that morning. It was the migratory season, so of course he had. He’d gone out with his binoculars as soon as the sun started twinkling over the horizon. He’d ticked off twenty-seven species, including his first American redstart of the season along with plenty of palm and yellow-rumped warblers, but apparently two hours of birding in the morning wasn't enough to keep him sane.

He jumped from his chair, pulled on a jacket, and grabbed his binoculars. “I'm going to walk until I no longer feel murderous. Love you!” The door slammed behind him.

Silly Love Songs

I wanted to wait to post this piece until valentine's day because that's what it's for, but loook!!!!!!!!!

happy early valentine's day to all you klainers out there. I'm actually really proud of this piece. The original reason I did this wasn't actually so much for Valentine's Day itself, but rather the valentine's day episode ''Silly Love Songs (2x12)'' and the fact that I really wanted to do a piece with these colors. If there were ever favorite colors to be had, pink and red are absolutely mine. so enjoy this klaine piece before valentine's cause why not!!!!!! I'm probably gonna post this on my main (@henry-the-queer-artist) as well

Klaine Valentine's Challenge Day 3

Texas Hold 'Em

Notes: For this challenge I'm writing snippets in my Mediator!Klaine AU. More info here. This is early on in the story, when Blaine and Kurt are first meeting.

“Was this house an inn back in the old days,” Kurt asked, “where people got into shootouts over gambling losses? Did someone catch you with an ace up your sleeve, or start a brawl over the riches you’d mined during the Gold Rush?” He observed the ghost’s rather nice outfit. “Or maybe you were some type of railroad baron. I don’t see spurs on your boots, so I assume you weren’t a cowboy.”

The ghost rolled his eyes. For someone who was definitely not born in the modern age, he pulled off 21st-century snark very well.

“I was not a cowboy, no, although my father owned a ranch.” He gestured out the window. “This whole neighborhood used to be my family’s land. This room is approximately where my quarters were, before the old house burned down.”

Kurt sat down in front of his vanity. “Oof, did you burn to death? That’s a rough way to go.”

Kurt usually tried to be more gentle when first discussing the manner of a ghost’s demise, but he wasn’t at his most tactful. It had been a long day, okay?

The ghost fixed Kurt with an almost patronizing stare. “It burned down in 1965.”

“Got it,” Kurt said. “So what, a horse trampled you? Smallpox? You fell off of one of those scenic cliffsides and into the ocean?”

“You have quite a macabre imagination,” the ghost commented.

“Comes with the job,” Kurt said.

“And what exactly is your…job?” The ghost asked.

“I’m a mediator,” he said simply. “Bridge between the living and dead. When someone kicks the bucket and has unfinished business, they come to me to tie up loose ends so they can move on to whatever’s next. So, what are you hung up on, uh…”

“Blaine,” the ghost said. “My name is Blaine.”

“Kurt,” Kurt replied.

"Hey there, Lone Ranger." 

Kurt looks up from where he's sitting on the floor, knees up and ankles crossed, as Blaine drops down next to him with a commercially pleasant smile -- though that's not indicative of much, since that seems to be Blaine's default expression like Santana's resting bitchface or Finn's perplexed forehead pucker. "Hi," he says shortly, because he'd come to sit in one of the unmonitored halls for a reason and doesn't feel the need to be welcoming. Blaine makes a small, nonspecific sound of commiseration.

"I know something that'll cheer you up," Blaine says, and follows it immediately with, "--this morning's numbers were rough, and I think we're both in the same boat with being down in the polls, but the best thing is to forge ahead instead of letting it weigh us down." 

With an arched brow, Kurt regards the other boy for a long moment, perversely until he sees Blaine's temples start to get a touch damp, the smile start to strain.The momentary spike of mean satisfaction is just that, fleeting, and he sighs inwardly before he says, "What's so fun that it'll take my -- our -- minds off dipping in the viewer polls and potentially getting voted out of the show and sent home covered in embarrassment and failure, the butt of memes and talk shows for weeks if not months if not years?"

Blaine blinks and breathes out a whoooo, barely audible, but recalibrates fast, something Kurt notes with interest. "Finn and Puck figured out how to work the deep fat fryers in the cafeteria," Blaine says. "They're frying everything they can find. Frozen cauliflower, those little round frozen peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, potato chips--"

"They're making fresh potato chips?"

"No, they're double-frying normal potato chips." Blaine pauses, considers. "They're not bad, actually. If you get past the singed taste." 

Kurt huffs derisively, letting his wrists dangle against his knees and thunking his head back against the wall. "A glowing review. I'll pass."

"We could maybe use the pancake batter to coat some candy bars and deep fry those. Better than potato shards?" Blaine starts reaching for Kurt's wrist to coax him up, but stops when Sam and Quinn come down the hallway, hands latched together between them. "Sup," Sam says with a lift of his chin towards them, which Blaine answers while Kurt tucks his own chin a touch lower and watches them go by. Quinn doesn't even look their way, her chilly, brittle smile reserved for Sam only, her posture the envy of dressage horses and hat racks. Their blond hair seems to provide its own source of light as they continue to sail down the hallway and out of sight, a yacht passing by two bobbing sailboats.

Kurt's startled out of his reverie by Blaine moving in closer, turning towards him instead of keeping his back flush against the wall. "They don't even really give a crap about each other," Blaine says, voice dipping lower as it sinks into more secretive levels, and Kurt feels a swirl of unease in his stomach. 

"They've been inseparable since Sam found the only shower room that's still got hot water. They probably bonded over sharing a bottle of highlight-preserving shampoo."

"No," Blaine says more insistently. He has extraordinarily thick, weird eyebrows, Kurt notices for the first time, like circumflex accents over the o's of his eyes. "It's been since they got their numbers and were dipping way below Finn and Rachel. That's when they got together." 

Kurt's teeth clack together in his mouth at Blaine speaking aloud what he's started to get a gnawing feeling about lately. The purpose of what they signed up for, this live reality programme about the making of a show choir through the unusual but attention-grabbing method of a survivalist situation in an unused high school, it wasn't about dating or romance or any of that. The pitch had been for performers, people with talent and moxie and charisma and screen presence, not people who intended to get by with looking pretty and sucking face 

When Rachel and Finn had declared they were together, and they'd immediately soared in the polls, Kurt had talked himself out of it; they were both talented and Rachel's looks were entertainment good, not magazine good. But Quinn and Sam were like Dresden dolls more than any sort of real competition in the talent department, with their adequate singing and dancing that happened to come out of appallingly photogenic faces and figures. Possibly a secret hairstylist they'd secured to give them an advantage.

"This is exactly what I didn't want," Kurt says sharply, drawing his knees in tight now, feet pulled in together. "I told myself that this would be a different sort of show, one based on ability and merit and not just whatever look is hot on social media right now. But no! It's the same old thing, isn't it? The so-called prettiest people get everything without having to try." 

"Hey, now," Blaine says, tilting his head. "You and me are pretty too." He bumps the back of one hand against the crook of Kurt's knee. "You a smidge more, but I think that'll work for us." 

Kurt raises his head slowly from where his chin had sunk down against his chest. "Oh, no," he says, and scoots to the side, watching in gathering concern as Blaine correspondingly scoots closer. His smile is just as commercial as before, but now there's something else to it, something more focused and determined, and that's much worse because damned if Kurt doesn't like being the spotlight of somebody's full focused attention. 

"Blaine -- it's Blaine, right?" Of course he knows the other boy's name, but if they're going to play a game then Kurt's not going in with the weaker hand. Blaine seems unfazed and just inclines his head, smile inching towards amused. "Look, Blaine, while I enjoy romcom tropes maybe more than your average person, to the point where I watch people go about their daily lives and immediately visualize their minor mishaps happening as meet-cutes, this isn't the route I want to take to be part of the New Directions. I want to win my spot through my gift and my hard work and, yes, being pretty, but that's not the main thing people should admire about me. And sure as hell not because I hook up with the flashy prep." 

"Whoa there," Blaine says, smiling full-on now, "hook up? I'm not that easy." He laughs and it's breezy, confident, which is annoying but also takes the awkwardness out of the whole thing, so Kurt un-tenses, just a bit, as Blaine continues with a shake of his head, "It's an advantage. We've obviously got the raw material needed to make it, but this isn't an even playing field, unfortunately, or we'd know the outcome already. It's a show, it's dramatics, it's will-they-won't-they." He sings the last bit, a plummy MGM flourish: "--that's en-ter-tain-ment!" 

"Trying to win me over with show tunes is … well, all right, it's effective. But this still isn't the avenue I want to stroll." Kurt thins his eyes at Blaine, considering, and the other boy takes it as an opening to make his pitch.

"Look, Kurt -- it's just for the cameras, and I'll do all the work. It doesn't have to look as though…" Blaine reconsiders whatever he'd been about to say and reroutes, "I'll woo you as if we're lovers in some silent black-and-white film! Big gestures, romance coming out our ears, I'll be so smitten that the audience is gonna fall in love with you through me, they'll be dying to see where it all goes and if I manage to win your affections. Or at least a duet." Blaine has his hands clasped now, pressed over his heart, and he tips his head in the direction that Sam and Quinn had gone. "One a damn sight better than 'Lucky'."

"Low-hanging fruit," Kurt says, but his heartbeat has tripped into double-speed, and he licks his lips, shifting to cross-legged so he can face Blaine. "I have conditions," he says, and Blaine turns even more towards him to say, "Naturally. We should both come to an understanding so there's no misha--"

"You need to find a KitKat and get it deep-fried for me."

Blaine halts in mid-reasoning, then he hops nimbly to his feet and sweeps a flourishing bow. At the crown of his dipped head there's a wave to his hair, little promises of curls, and Kurt files that away, too, in the moment before Blaine straightens. "Whatever your heart desires," he says in a silky murmur, and then more normally, "--next time we'll do this stuff for the cameras, okay? No point wasting it where nobody can see."

"Okay," Kurt says, and if his answering smile is a touch flat, it's just because he doesn't need to care.

Hi, it's me. After two years, I am back with a sequel to Not Another Teen Drama. This has been in the works for over a year now at this point. I found inspiration and then lost it. I had about 4 chapters written, but I just couldn't continue on. I lost motivation. Then, I saw that @klaineccfanficlibrary is running their annual Valentine's challenge again this year. I figured, if anything was going to motivate me, it was this challenge. Since the first story was written for the same challenge two years ago. It will help if you read the first story, Not Another Teen Drama before you read this. So, here we go.

This is my contribution to the Klaine's Valentine's Day Challenge 2025.

Kurt's fashion sense while attending Dalton

I was comparing some outfits from S2 when I noticed Kurt seems to stop accessorizing his Dalton uniform after Special Education - which makes a lot of sense with the main Kurt plot of that episode, with Blaine advising him to fit in with the Warblers (and Dalton.) Kurt's individuality takes a blow and it has lasting effects, until the end of the arc, on his main self expression: his fashion.

The Dalton arc taking place over the winter (okay, well, from November to Spring, to be more precise) gives Kurt an excellent chance and excuse to still show off his wardrobe through winter coats and scarfs (which he loves!), but he notably does not take it and chooses to make the uniform the center piece of his ensembles, rather than trying to style over it.

The first non-uniform outfit (generous wording) we see from him is in The Sue Sylvester Shuffle. He seems to have a very straightforward goal: match Blaine, who at this time wears some of the most unoffending and average outfits on the show. His style (if you can call it that) is less preppy at this time (with the exception of the black polo shirt in PQ) and more of a cross section of socially acceptable and loosely in style. A lot of jeans and neutral, dark colors.

The scarves they wear here still sport the Dalton colors - navy blue and red. Even Kurt's coat seems to be a dark shade of blue (from what I can tell.)

S1 doesn't have a lot of winter clothes to compare to (it doesn't help they are mostly indoors, so I have a hard time deciding how much functionality these coats have and if he would layer anything over these) but these would be the ones I'd like to highlight to properly contrast Dalton!Kurt with - from Wheels (this seems to be same coat though?), Sectionals and Hell-O - where the overall look is much more fashionable and are the kind of coats and accessories I'd assume he would still choose. Perhaps even more extravagant, since he has very little legspace to express himself now, being stuck in the uniform (that he finds unflattering!)

But the lack of hat is honestly surprising to me, as a side note.

I don't even have to theorize too much about what I'd have expected Kurt's winter fashion to look like when attending Dalton, because the show does it for me in the first Klaine scene of SLS.

This cream color outfit that hides pretty much all of his uniform (but... I have to mention that the school issued pants probably fit with the color scheme really well - no full body shot of Kurt though, so. But I trust my style icon.) and contrasts him extremely well with Blaine.

I do not think it is a coincidence either - because the scene itself is about Kurt misunderstanding Blaine and thinking he will be confessed to this Valentine's with a serenade (aw...)

We have a scene before the next outfit, where during the Warbler meeting Kurt shoots himself in the leg and convinces the council to sign off on the Gap Attack.

After, though, we get this outfit, where the main focal point seems to be his Dalton tie. The scarf, coat and gloves are all very dark with no embellishments and he is also without a hat to distract you - your eye is naturally drawn to the bright red stripes, right in the middle. If you squint, the tie is the only thing you can reliably make out. Kurt trying desperately to emphasize this bond and connection he has with Blaine (even if it is just going to the same school) is interesting to me.

And we finally live to see the episode where he is fully out of the uniform too!

The red shirt + leather outfit may be the most interesting and flamboyant outfit he wears during these ten or so episodes. But it is still a very bright red - evoking not just Dalton, but Glee's own color symbolism of it being the color of individuality (here is a great post to understand this more.) And, once again, Kurt's show of individuality is associated with another heartbreak - this time the Anderberry kiss.

So if you are willing to be a little insane (and give a lot of credit to the costume department) this is a great look to emphasize his place in the story as of now: he does not fit in with the ND (who apparently did not even invite him and had to blackmail himself in through Finn) or the Warblers. He is a little bit of both but also neither because he is searching for a way to still be himself and part of a team at the same time.

I think the leather tie also leans into the Dalton uniform a bit. While Kurt is also just someone who likes wearing ties (he even irons them) it makes the outfit (and analogy) that much more cohesive.

The other outfit, I think is notable for three things: the cardigan is a very similar cut as Blaine's (only) coat, the color palette is grey and it, once again, has a tie. A very far cry from the bright red, leather and pins outfit from a few days before, understandably so.

And then we reach Sexy, here the center piece seems to be the Dalton blazer, with the red scarf, tucked in tie and v-neck all effectively making up a color block to emphasize it. Not to mention, this is the exact same outfit Blaine wore just an episode prior in BIOTA.

We also see him at home once again, with the same gray color scheme of a knit black sweater and a grey shirt underneath.

Reaching Night of Neglect and seeing Kurt and Blaine effectively match each other is now extremely commonplace.

This all comes to head in BTW - the first outfit of note is when he has a talk with Dave. The tie is switched to a bowtie, notice the scissors brooch for "cutting ties" and how much more... S1 Kurt it is.

The other outfit is seen after his transfer is official. The coat may the most unconventional we've seen so far (it also reminds me of a straitjacket) with the keys dangling from his neck. The Pavarotti analogy, him "finding his voice", keeping the keys proudly on display that he will not lock himself away any longer (and may even be more open to asking for help) all make perfect sense here. Not to mention, while the color scheme does not deviate all that much, it is a much more refined look.

I'm including these two mostly for completion's sake, but they do cap off the other story lines told through Kurt's fashion pretty neatly - the first one is weird, it is flashy and layered. He really is back!

The other one may be the most pedestrian look of his (before S5, at least) but the 'Likes boys' displayed boldly in black and white is just a sweet moment after everything that S2 threw at him. Even if Kurt says this was a pretty good year, lol.

I took January off, because I could. I have been playing video games (what's new?) and reading. I actually reread Patrick Ness's The Rest of Us Just Lives Here, which was an inspiration for Just Some Guy, so that was neat. I have actually been thinking about fic. Here are some ideas that I was thinking about in the past month:

A Persona 3 fic where all the S. Links are informed about the ending. This is kind of a huge undertaking, cause there are a lot of them. I did divide them between Makoto and Kotone, just because I could. I have written nothing for it, though.

Another installment of the SJAEU called The Return of the Nightmare Man, which is what it says on the tin. It was just something I randomly came up with as a daydream to pass a sleepless night, and maybe it will be something. I also haven't written anything for it.

I went ice skating and I annoyingly kept saying "oh my god, just like Check, Please!" and it reminded me that I have a WIP of Bitty pranking skating coach Jack by pretending he's absolute ass at ice skating. I haven't revisited it yet, but maybe I will.

I've been messaging with @cerriddwenluna for another "Klaine in the Netherlands" fic. It's a meet-ugly based on something that happened to me. I was biking and this random twat was standing in the middle of my lane to make a photo, edit it and probably post it. It wasn't till I rang my bell that they left. And I hated it, but I thought "how can I Klaine-ify this?" as I do. I am thinking of turning it either into just a little oneshot or a 14 small chapter multichapter fic for the @klaineccfanficlibrary's Valentine's Challenge. Anyway, whatever it is, have six sentence of this:

There's a man standing in the middle of Kurt's path, and he's holding up a phone to make a photo of [something]. Tourists. Kurt cannot blame him. He remembers when he first moved to [city in the Netherlands] and he also spent a lot of time taking in the sights. But he can blame him for the fact that this asshole is obstructing his path. He waits for this man to finish taking his photo, but then to Kurt's dismay, the man doesn't move when he's done and instead takes his sweet time to post it online.

Fun fact, this isn't Blaine. He'll show up later.

Klaine's Valentines challenge 2025

'I need you now'

Chapter two, February 2nd

That morning when Blaine woke up Kurt was already gone. His bed was made, their shared bathroom smelled just like him and his parfum still lingered in the air. He checked his phone, hoping for a message from Kurt, a hint as to where he could find the boy he just gave his heart to. It seems that luck was not on his side today. There was a message tho, his best friend and fellow Warbler Wes asked where he was and if he had not forgotten their last rehearsel for today's  performance. Blaine shot out of bed, got dressed and raced to the Warblers common room.

Kurt had barely slept last night, his mind kept wandering of to last nights events. Blaine had wanted him, he had let Kurt touch him, but Kurt couldn't continue with the actions that were going to follow. He thought of himself as a fool, a coward. He had wanted Blaine al this time, and he had him right between is legs, but his insecurity had ruined everything. Tears fell from his eyes, he had to stop before this river became an ocean. The truth is that he wanted Blaine to like him so badly, he had wanted to touch him, kiss him, maybe even more, but he would never take advantage of him. Blaine might not have been as drunk a usual he had been drinking and Kurt didn't even know if Blaine would remenber what had happened between them last night. "

At around 7.30 in the morning Kurt gave up on his sleep and decided to get ready for the day. He knew he had to seek for advice for the current isue and take his mind of it as well. The only person he could think of wasn't his best friend Rachel or his other best friend Mercedes. No he knew they couldn't help him with the matter, they were both cluesless for love and couldn't give him the advice he needed. Instead he searched for a number in his phone, dialling it when he finally found it.

'Q I need your help.'

As soon as Kurt stepped into the place where they had agreed to meet he saw the blond girl sitting at a table with two cups of coffee before her.

'Thank you so much for meeting me on such short notice, I didn't know who else to talk to.'

Kurt sat down across from her, taking the coffee she offered him.

'Ofcourse, that is what friends are for. Now shoot, what happened that you need my advice?' Quinn's eyes searched his face, looking for clues why he needed her advice and not that of his best friends.

'I found of that Blaine likes me too, and something happend last night and I don't even know if he remenbers, because he had been drinking and I don't know how far gone he was.' Kurt felt tears sting in his eyes as he told Quinn everything that had happened and everything they had said.

'Kurt you need to have a little faith in yourself, the boy already likes, if he doesn't ask you out he is clearly a fool.' She put her hand over his and looked him in the eyes.

'Kurt if he doesn't put in any effort he is not worthy of your time, if you want to know if the remembers last night, jog his memory. Pick your heart up off the floor and try again.'

She let go of his hand to pick up her coffee.

'I do need to go now, but I want to know how this ends and if you need more advice you can always call me.' They hugged eachother and then got to their seperate ways again.

Kurt was already in the common room by the time Blaine had walked in. They were barely 5 minutes apart, both were responsible for the slip in Wes his good mood. Today they would perform in a nursing home close by. Kurt loved to see the smiles on the elder people as they watched them perform a song he knew they would love.

Blaine sat next to him, their legs touching and it immediately brought him back to last night.

'You were gone early,' Blaine whispered in his ear. Kurt turned his head, lips at kissng distance.

'I had to go somewhere,' he whispered back, turning his attention back to Wes as he was explaining the last things before they had to go.

Their performance was a hit, they had sang ''Faith'' by George Micheal and everyone had loved it. Afterwards they had stayed a moment to chat with some of the people, Kurt didnt want them to feel alone and loved talking to the elders, hearing their life stories.

During the song Blaine kept looking at Kurt, he had to do something, he wanted to know how Kurt felt after last night and he wanted to apologize for stepping out of line.

'Kurt will you join me for a stroll in the garden?,' Blaine held out his hand for Kurt to take.

'Ow go on boy, he won't wait for you forever,' said the older lady whom Kurt was talking it. She gave him a last wink before Kurt took Blaine's hand and let him guide him to the garden.

'The flowers look lovely, don't you think?' Kurt stopped in front of a patch that was covered in peonies, one of his favorite flowers. Blaine got to his side and picked one of the flowers, giving it to Kurt as a present.

'Thank you Loverboy, they smell amazing,' Kurt decided to take Quinns advice and use the same name he had called Blaine last night, hoping he would remember.

Blaine's face got al flustered, a hand covering his face.

'Kurt I am sorry about what happend last night.' Kurt's face dropped, so he didn't actually like him, mental not made.

'I should have put more effort in it and asked you out first.'

Kurt's eyes shot up again to Blaine's face. 'You just looked so good, I had a few drinks and I just really wanted to feel your touch on my body,' Blaine's voice was getting hoarse thinking about the events from last night.

'Well I know not everybody has got a body like you,' Kurt started getting interupted by Blaine's laugh.

'I know, I see you looking at me whenever I get out of the shower.' Kurt's face got warm, he thought he was very subtle whenever he looked at Blaine's bare chest, turns out not so much.

'But I gotta think twice before I give my heart away,' Kurt said, smelling the rose again.

'Kurt I promise you won't regret it, will you please go on a date with me?'

Blaine looked at him, big eyes filled with nothing but love for the other boy.

'I thought you would never ask.'
