bed rotting x shigaraki hcs
✶⊶⊷⊶⊷❍⊶⊷⊶⊷✶
the first time tomura saw you bed rot, he thought you were sick.
"are you okay?? are you getting up?"
when you explained you just...couldn't...he nodded and crawled into bed next to you.
he and you both understand it's not the healthiest, but he's no stranger to a bad habit or two.
so when he learns that some days are just gonna be harder than others, he prepares like a mf
we're talking doomsday prepping.
he and a few other league members will go out and steal a bunch of shit: snacks, water bottles, etc
charges all the electronics and makes sure there are chargers nearby
gets nice clean pjs to lay in for you
regardless of whether its related to a chronic illness, mental shit, or not, he makes sure he learns what you need, if anything during that time.
because thats what he would want for himself :( thats what he needed. he understands it
helps you brush your hair out (he kinda sucks at it but hes doing his best okay)
sleeps next to you when you're sleeping, because gods know he needs it too
especially likes to watch shitty animated movies with you when you guts are awake
will send you memes/posts instead of showing them to you even though you're right. there.
you guys dont have to say anything to each other for hours on end, and you're still content just being there together.
plays dumb games on his phone
shows you him bullying villagers off his animal crossing island to get you to laugh
"i fucking hate barold hes so fucking ugly GET OFF MY FUCKING ISLAND YOU PLEB" (sorry barold lovers shiggy is NAWT a fan)
if you forget to eat, he will also forget, until you hear his stomach rumble and you both go "oh fuck"
adhd mode as fuck
gotta keep the big lights off for this
if you're the only one in that headspace, he'll do his best to just be there for you and make sure you take care of yourself
even if that means dragging you by a foot to brush your teeth or at least have a quick rinse in the shower
cause he knows if you dont, you'll feel bad for not
but he's very gentle and understanding always, because hes been there
and he will continue to be there regardless
all he cares about is that you're at least safe and healthy with him
cuddles and kisses you incessantly
just loves being next to you always, this just gives him an excuse to be clingy
✶⊶⊷⊶⊷❍⊶⊷⊶⊷✶
okay this was really cute, also helped me channel some of my own personal guilt ab bed rotting ;-;
thank u for the request <3
shit like this gives me the motivation to not only keep writing, but to be kinder to myself, because thats what shig would want. i hope this has the same effect for you guys.
love u all, take care of urself <3

Can I please request (^_^メ)
(OPLA Zoro x You) Where Reader is an Assassin or Ninja and is a Pirate hunter, When Zoro used to be one too, they would always compete who gets the target first. Sometimes Zoro wins, sometimes reader.
So, imagine Reader's reaction when they saw Zoro with the crew.
And also, Luffy, somehow by some miracle with his own style of talk-no-jutsu managed to convince reader to join them(≧▽≦)

Tumblr media
Honor be damned, you really wanted to kill him.
“Dirty play, demon,” you huff irritatedly, scowling at the asshole who skewered your target before you could. In a single clean slash, the head is relieved of its body and unceremoniously kicked into a bag. “We both know that one was mine.”
“Better luck next time.” Asshole. Stupid, selfish, infuriatingly attractive asshole. A million different ways you could end his life flashed through your mind and, with his back turned to you, became more of a possibility the longer you sat in your disappointment. The dock creaks beneath his receding footsteps and you spit a curse under your breath. The head now bouncing around in the pirate hunter’s hand would have had you living comfortably for months, not to mention buying some shelter for the stray dogs wandering your home island. Monsoon season was coming and you didn’t have nearly enough space to keep all of them dry. Finding food that wasn’t old bread and horse balls was hard in itself and shelter was just another task added to the to-do list. “You’re not gonna try and take it from me?”
“Why would I? You killed him; you get the bounty,” you reply scornfully, praying that whoever came up with the idea of hunter’s honor is torn to shreds by an octopus. “Guess it is your turn,” you concede reluctantly and take note of the blood dripping from the dirty fabric sack as he reapproaches. You’d have to clean your shoes when you were done. “I did take that guy from you in Flamingo Village, last week.”
“The one with the big, ugly hat,” he confirms and you don’t budge when he stands right in front of you. He had pretty eyes, you’d give him that. Too bad you wanted to slam your fist into his nose. “I was mad about that one.”
“Well, you got this one. Aren’t you gonna cash ‘em in?”
“I will. I’m just curious,” he says and his expression is unreadable. It bordered on amusement and suspicion with a little bit of awe. “You could have killed me a million times since I killed the target.” Already thought that, buddy. “Why didn’t you?”
“Like I said, hunter’s honor–”
“No,” he shakes his head decidedly and you narrow your eyes. “You’ve been following this guy for four days, watching other hunters fail to bring him in. My question is, why do you need this bounty so badly, and why aren’t you willing to kill me over it?”
“Technically, that’s two questions,” you deadpan and your heart does an unwanted little stutter when he scoffs, the tiniest smile pulling at his mouth. “If you really wanna know why I need it, it’s ‘cause I need to take care of some friends back home.” It wasn’t a complete lie, but you also didn’t need the most feared hunter in the seas knowing that you needed the money to buy squeaky toys and dog beds.
“Those friends aren’t worth killing for?”
“It’s sounding like you want me to kill you,” you fire back incredulously. “Do I need to worry about you, Zoro?”
“Look, all I’m saying is, all other hunters would be leaping at my throat as soon as I take their kill. I just don’t understand why you won’t, especially if it’s worth four days of stalking.”
“Maybe I like playing this little game,” you admit. It’s no secret to you that your job becomes incredibly boring at times. All the other hunters you come across take their jobs too seriously and believe that they’re purging the seas of evil. You, however, knew that the real evil was pacing around ivory towers and putting up the wanted posters. When you first met Zoro, it seemed like he didn’t take his job seriously at all. He killed like it was breathing and remained unamused at the melodramatic theatrics of flashier hunters. You ran into each other often because, besides being the only ones who survive their hunts, you were the top-earning hunters of your generation and ended up following the same pace every time. “I take a bounty; you take a bounty. I try to beat the pirate hunter at his own game; he throws a fit when I’m faster than him.”
“But, today I was faster than you,” he corrects and you stick your tongue out at him in defiance. “Who’s throwing a fit now?”
“Get out of my sight, demon,” you frown but you can’t hold it for long. It becomes a tired, melancholy smile and you start to make your way back to the town to book passage home. “Hope you enjoy all that Berry.”
“Let me buy you a drink with it before you go,” he calls after you and you freeze where you stand. “Consolation for kicking your ass this time around.” You shoot him a scathing look over your shoulder and take the bait.
“I did all the dirty work for you, asshole, so it better be three drinks at the least.” He chuckles softly under his breath and you roll your eyes, letting him catch up to you before heading to the nearest bar together. “I hate you so much.”
“No, you don’t.”
As time passed and you ran into him more during your hunts, that hatred turned into something different, an annoying feeling of excitement every time you heard a sword unsheathed or spotted someone with green hair. You found yourself checking your watch when you were ahead of him, counting down the hours until he caught up. You knew the sound of his footsteps and the rhythm of his breathing and memorized how the sun hit his eyes down to the iris. Sometimes, you’d work with him directly and split the bounty evenly once it was completed. During conversations to kill time, though he never admitted it, he liked being around you as often as he was. Eventually, you told him about your furry friends back on the island and started marking the places you’d been with a hasty drawing of a dog. It became part of your routine and the time that it took for him to catch up to you decreased exponentially as a result. You’re easier to follow, is what he said. On a particular mission where you were unusually behind, you were delighted to find his gross attempt at mimicking the mark scratched into the wooden bar counter.
You lose touch with him after a year or so of working together and you don’t expect it to hurt as much as it did. Word floated around that he was captured by Marines and posted up in Shells Town, but the same mouths reported that he escaped with pirates the following day. None of it sounded like him and it reminded you that you really didn’t know him at all. Still, you marked that silly dog into every barstool and backdoor you came across as you fell back into the same boring routines.
Taking a rest day at a floating restaurant called Baratie, you think you’ve found the perfect spot to scratch into the counter when you realize that someone has already done it for you. It was horrendous and nearly incomprehensible, but you choke back a sob when you run your thumb over the mangled wood. There was only one person who could have drawn the little dog so badly.
And it’s like your body senses him before your mind does.
In an instant, you’re hyper fixated on the familiar rhythm of his boots and the soft noise as his swords clank together with every step. There are four others with him, but you know his approach like the back of your hand. A boy in a straw hat whom you recognize from wanted posters rushes the bar, loudly requesting a glass of milk for himself and the finest rum for his swordsman companion. When he slides into the seat next to you, you can barely look at him, rendered defenseless from the conflict of emotions stirring in your mind. Thousands of questions were screaming to be answered but you couldn’t even open your mouth. The alcohol in your half-finished glass is all you can see.
“You found me,” he murmurs, flagging down the bartender and asking for a bottle of whatever you’re drinking.
“I wasn’t looking for you,” you reply just as quietly, watching his hand carefully replenish your glass before filling his own and downing it in a few swallows. You stop him from pouring another with a light hand on his shoulder and he wordlessly sets down the bottle, making you smile softly. “You still drink too much.”
“I don’t have you to slow me down,” he replies without hesitation, glancing at your fingertip as it traces the mark he made on the wood. “I’ve been putting those everywhere since I joined up with Luffy. Figured we’d run into each other at some point.”
“Luffy,” you echo. “That’s your pirate captain?” The irony of your situation escapes neither of you. If you were smart, you’d have every single one of them dead and bouncing around a burlap sack, just like the pirate all those years ago. But, just the same as the first time, you were stopped by a profound desire to be closer to Zoro.
“He’s not like other pirates. Not like the ones you and I know.”
“I’ll let the Marines know next time I bring in a head, then,” you laugh humorlessly, feeling the rum burn down your throat when you take another sip. You feel his eyes watching you carefully but you don’t look back at him. “I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to hear that.”
“They don’t have to hear anything,” he says in a low tone, one that sends goosebumps up your spine and has your heart beating a little faster. “They don’t have to hear anything from you ever again.”
“You’re not saying…”
“That's exactly what I’m saying.”
“You want me to just switch sides like it’s nothing?”
“This job has been nothing to you from the beginning, nothing but a way to feed strays that, thanks to you, have loving homes,” he reminds you and you exhale deeply. He was right, but part of you wanted vengeance for all the times you secretly wished he was still with you. “So, come with me.”
“Zoro, I–”
“You know, I’ve missed you so much I can’t sleep,” he shakes his head and sighs in defeat. “Every time we dock at a new city, I’m hoping you’re on a hunt because, as much as I care for them, they’ll never know me the way you do.” He looks back at his crew with something like sad fondness in his eyes. They wouldn’t ever know him the way you did, as a bounty hunter with no real place to call home and no real people to call friends. “It gets lonely when you’re not forced to be alone anymore.”
“And it’s lonely when you are forced to,” you add. “It’s lonely either way–”
“But I’d rather be that way with you,” he concludes. “It’s not bad when I’m with you.” You pause, collecting your thoughts and calculating how much money you’d have if you suddenly abandoned your current line of work. It was risky, sure, but something about risking it on Zoro made it feel a little less dangerous. “Your silence tells me I convinced you.”
“I’m not the one you need to convince; it’s your captain you should be talking to.”
“Trust me, he’s the least of our problems.” As if to drive home his point, a choir of cheers rises up from behind you as a loud belch sounds through the harbor.
“‘Our’ as in the crew, or ‘our’ as in you and I?”
“It’s always been you and I, hasn’t it?”
“It always will be,” you promise, letting your head fall onto his shoulder. He’s warm and safe and everything you were needing. “But, I need to teach you how to draw a better dog.” He hums in agreement, downing another glass contentedly.
“Yeah, you need to teach me how to draw a better dog.”

– Sanji with the 2° genre, prompt (u.) 🍡
You know, I never would've paired this prompt with Sanji, but I think its more harsh nature pairs itself well with a masculine reader, so that's what I'll do! This ended up being pretty long so everything is under the cut
Since this is the first one I'll be posting like this I'll just explain - anything where you only requested one character, I assumed was to be paired with a Reader, since I struggled with making a lot of them work as a solo thing.
Content/warnings: Sanji/M!Reader, hurt/comfort, getting together, reader is insecure, Sanji is kinda cruel at the start whoops, Sanji has a gay awakening
Tumblr media
You'd been acting off all day, you knew you had, and while the crew hadn't mentioned it you were aware they'd noticed and that they were beginning to worry. Generally, you kept in high spirits. Not today. It wasn't any much, your insecurities had just been getting to you lately. You also felt ridiculous for letting that spoil your mood all day, which was only making your mood worse. You were the least attractive person on the crew, in your opinion (outside of Chopper because who is calling a kid attractive). Most days, you let yourself be confident in the fact that it didn't matter because that didn't make you ugly and you had a good personality so why did looks matter. Some days it bothered you anyway.
You were docked at an island while the log pose set, and pretty much all of the crew had received attention from people (of their preferred gender and not), outside of Chopper, but again, he didn't count (and he'd still had a group of teenage girls call him cute). You? You'd not gotten a single comment or even a look. It just made your stomach twist. It was stupid and you knew it, but it was eating you up inside. Worrying about that just led to more worrying about other things and you were spiralling a little even if you were attempting to pretend you weren't. It wasn't working.
"What's your problem?" Sanji asked as he emerged from the kitchen having just finished cleaning all the dishes from lunch.
"I don't want to talk about it, Sanji." He'd not gotten much attention from women, but oh boy had Sanji gotten attention from men. He'd brushed every one of them off, rather unkindly, and that hurt too. You'd had a bit of a crush on Sanji for ages now, but moments like that told you that you couldn't ever share that fact with the cook.
"Then stop moping! It doesn't help anything, and it's not great for the mood on board." He retorted with a roll of his eyes, and you rubbed a hand over your face with a sigh. You didn't want to lash out, but you really didn't have the emotional availability to be kind in that moment.
"Sorry Sanji, my bad, I'll just pack it all up and ignore it all - God forbid I have fucking feelings." You snapped, pushing off the railing of the Sunny where you'd been leaving to walk away. You didn't want to deal with his shitty attitude today of all days.
-·—·--·—·-
You'd hidden away to calm yourself down, then taken a shower to release some of the negative feelings you'd had pent up. Residual negative emotions lingered, of course they did, but you were more prepared to push them aside and put on a happy face. You emerged on the deck and sat down with Robin to talk about the book she'd been reading, allowing yourself and your better mood to be more easily seen by the crew.
"What happened? You really looked upset." Nami asked after a few minutes, having come to sit in her usual spot beside Robin.
"Oh, nothing. Just had a chat with Sanji." You said with a shrug, smiling at them as best as you could.
"I hope you're not spoiling these ladies days with your foul mood." Sanji said as he appeared with two drinks, one for each of the ladies in question. Robin and Nami snapped their heads to look at him, unbelieving he could be so cruel.
"No don't worry Sanji - I took your advice and just got over it. Won't catch me moping again. I'll keep that to myself from now on." You replied, mock kindness on your face and in your voice. You weren't going to start an argument with him, but that didn't mean you couldn't be passive aggressive at least. He fixed a hard gaze on you, but kept his smile in place. Wisely, he said nothing, and left the drinks for Nami and Robin before swiftly returning to the kitchen.
-·—·-—-·—·-
You spent the rest of the day avoiding Sanji, even having asked Robin to save you a plate of food so you could eat away from the rest of the crew and mainly away from Sanji. She'd delivered your plate loyally, and just gave you a smile before leaving you to eat in peace.
Eventually though, the plate did need to be returned to the kitchen. It'd long since gone dark, and you were just hoping that Sanji was elsewhere by now.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," you heard muttered from the kitchen, pausing outside to listen to whoever was so frustrated inside, "can't even be nice just for once. He just makes me so-" it was Sanji, of course it was. You weren't sure what else you'd been expecting. But he was in there, scolding himself, and it sounded like he was doing it over how he'd treated you.
You didn't knock, just pushed open the door and let yourself in, plate still in hand. Sanji stopped stock still, staring at you as if he'd been caught doing something he shouldn't have. You gently set the plate down on the table, pausing for a moment before turning as if to leave again.
"Wait-" Sanji called out, making you pause. There was another beat of silence while the cook found his words.
"I'm sorry," he said softly, hesitating before continuing, "I was unnecessarily cruel. You didn't deserve that."
"Yeah." You simply said, because just saying that wouldn't make him forgiven. You'd never done anything to him, you'd both just always had a joking friendship, where you'd take playful jabs at each other. They were never genuinely cruel.
"I just-" he paused again, fighting with himself to find his words, "you make me.. feel a lot of things that I don't know how to deal with. I just look at you and it all.. bubbles up inside of me and for some reason the only thing that ever gets out is something mean. What I said earlier was too far, and I am sorry. I was just worried." He finished, and you finally turned to face him. Sanji was flushed red, wringing his hands as if he was fighting not to put them elsewhere - his hair your brain helpfully supplied.
"Okay," you started, nodding slowly, "but that isn't a good reason. You didn't even try to get me to tell you. You didn't probe at all, you were rude when you asked what was wrong and then accused me of ruining the atmosphere on the Sunny. That's what you told me and best you can come up with is you were 'feeling a lot of feelings'?" You asked, growing more and more angry, but also more upset. You knew you couldn't have Sanji the way that you wanted him, but you'd at least wanted him as a friend. Maybe that was too much to ask for.
"I'm sorry! I'm not good with words - I can't make my brain tell my mouth what I'm thinking and I really want to help you understand even if you don't forgive me." You would forgive him, you knew you would, this would be petty to lose him over and would jeopardise the crew. But you couldn't be the same after this.
"Try."
"It's different than with other people. You feel- you make me feel different. I don't understand why. I just look at you and it's like.. the whole world stops moving for a minute," Sanji leaned forward, resting his hands on the table and stared right down at the wood rather than looking at you, "I've never felt like that before. It's scary. How am I meant to deal with something I don't understand? So I'm mean to you instead because maybe then it'll go away? I know it sounds stupid. And then when we're out and people look at you.. something just comes over me. I hate it. I just glare at them until they back down because they're not allowed to look at you like that."
You understood suddenly what Sanji was talking about. All this time you'd been so sure of what you couldn't have and in the background Sanji was having his gay awakening because of you. You were desperately trying to hold back, but you couldn't help laughing. He shot up straight as if he'd been struck, wounded by your laughter.
"I'm sorry- I know this is serious. I promise I'm not laughing at you, just the situation really. Sanji.. you have a crush on me. That's what that is." You told him, slowly approaching to close the space between you two.
"No! I- I like women." He defended, but he was hesitant, as if your words had given him clarity.
"Sure. But you also like me."
The two of you stood, silent, staring at each other. You, waiting for Sanji to decide what the next move was, and Sanji, processing the new information. In retrospect, he realised it was a little obvious.
"I acted like a little boy pulling on a girl's pigtails." Sanji muttered, suddenly a little humiliated.
"Yeah, a little bit." You agreed, and the cook just sighed. You both fell into quiet laughter finally, the tension of the entire situation drifting away.
"So uh.." Sanji started after a while, you let him find his words before responding, "what now?"
"That's up to you. I've liked you back for a damn long while now, but you've only just realised. You can go and take your time to process that new part of yourself if you w-" you didn't get to finish your sentence before Sanji's lips were on yours for the first time.
Yeah, now you definitely wouldn't be the same after this.

lacy, oh, lacy ⟢ p. pevensie
Tumblr media
synopsis ➻ In which you finally unload all your nasty, ugly jealousy to peter, and he doesn’t really take it well
author’s note ➻ hi, this is my first ever piece of work on tcon based on lacy by olivia rodrigo, lmk if you like it :) just a little short blurb! I was thinking of making it a full fic with other tropes (keeping them a secret!), would anyone be interested? Ik the fandom’s kinda dead, so if u see this..let’s be moots!
Tumblr media
“LET GO OF ME,” you huffed, your arm whipping back from the gentle hold he had on it as you turned to meet his eyes.
Doing so just made you even angrier than you were. There he was, looking as perfect and regal as the day he arrived in Narnia. The moonlight casts its glow over the room for his glistening skin to shimmer. Silky, golden hair falling across his forehead, almost covering his deep, cerulean blue eyes.
While your hair was falling out it’s updo despite all the pins you had secured it with, corset coming undone from all the angry breathing and running up the castle’s stairs you were doing.
“You think you’re sooooooo perfect. Don’t you? You don’t have any regard for anyone OTHER than yourself. Do you think everyone worships you, huh Peter? It disgusts me to see you prance around this castle, in war meetings and in balls, giving orders and expecting everyone to follow them!”
Your finger comes up, jabbing it sharp into his annoyingly sturdy chest.
Peter takes a step back.
“‘Oh look at me, I’m High King Peter the Magnificent, Emperor of the Lone Islands, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion. I’m so gorgeous, and charming that nobody can resist me. Does it ever get so tiring being the person everybody looks to in a room full of people? Oh no, because I’m Arrogant High King Peter, I make everybody and everything stutter over their words and—WHO EVEN CARES! You’re so full of yourself and stuck up, GOSH! Nobody cares about your titles and I’m ALSO sure nobody cares enough to know them!”
An eerie silence falls over the two of you, Peter staring so intently into your eyes you feel as if he can see the true reason why you just said all of that—And you, finally coming to your senses and realizing what you dared to utter to your King.
Peter licks his lips and looks to the side before his eyes meet your own again.
“Well, you seem to know them. Considering you recited them all perfectly.”
Your face crumbles into shock, burning as you look anywhere other than his face. You want to kill yourself. You want to storm outside and maybe find a guillotine and then chop your own head off and you want to kill yourself—
Peter still looks mildly offended and takes a closer step to you. His cologne fills your senses and almost enchants you. He smells so good and he’s so perfect. And how could you say that to him?
“Almost like, you repeat it to yourself everyday.”
Your trembling hands fist the skirt of your dress, bringing it above your ankles so you don’t trip as you stumble backwards away from him, away from Peter..away from your king. Like you always should be.
“You think I don’t see the looks of yearning you send my way? Are you really that oblivious to think I can’t feel eyes burning into my back or my face everytime I’m a few feet away from you?”
You’re scared. You’re scared of what came out his mouth and what’s going to continue to come out his mouth. You’re so stupid, and God why did you say all of that? He knows, and he knows, and he knows..he’s going to ruin you. He’s going to tell everybody and they’re going to laugh about it and, and throw you into the dungeon and God, he’s going to ruin you.
“You say one thing yet you mean another,” Peter whispers, biting his full, pink bottom lip. His eyes racing back and forth as he tries so hard to get an answer, a reaction—out of you.
“Doesn’t it get embarrassing?” He questions, face morphing into a sarcastic expression. And you can feel it; feel him mocking you. Your colored eyes welling up with tears—and a reaction he gets.
“Everybody can tell. Everybody can tell when ‘Arrogant High King Peter’ walks into the room, you want him. You need him.”
And with that, he turns around and walks away. High King Peter, your King Peter, the love of your life—walks away from you.

I know i request alot but i love your writing smmm
Do u mind if u r comie with writing law’s reaction if he thought his girlfriend was cheating on him?like his reaction and if he confronts or not
Emphasize on thought (she didn't cheat he misunderstood)
Stay safe aurhor chan 🖤
Hiya bb, no worries!! I'm glad that you like my writing!! And you stay safe too!! But I also hope this is to your liking!!
[Heads up!: mention of hypothetical infidelity but isn't really abt that, Law is just an anxious babe, insecurity, a lil angst, afab!reader]
Tumblr media
"Are you excited about going home?"
You shrug, trying to play off the rise of nervouse excitement that swells in your chest as you answer Penguin. "A little, it's been ages so I'm not sure anyone's going to remember me."
"I'm sure they will," Penguin reassures you and you beam, though it dims a little as you're abruptly reminded of someone who had not shared your enthusiasm about stopping for supplies at your home island.
Law is never particularly enthusiastic about anything, but the soft smile he'd worn at the start of your excited ramble about where Bepo said you were heading had disappeared at a record rate. By the time you were done, his answers had gone to a measure of about two words if you were lucky, and you'd finally given up, heart sinking.
You don't know what the problem is. It's not as though you're planning on leaving the Heart Pirates, planning on leaving him ㅡ you would never. Though you've missed the comforts that always come with the thoughts of home, you're not about to abandon the home that you have now.
Law is afraid that you'll leave.
He doesn't know where the fear has come from given that it's baseless, but the enthusiasm and soft-expressioned way you describe your home island only furthers that creeping feeling until he's trying hard not to think about.
And truth be told, he wouldn't blame you if you did. Being a pirate is dangerous, especially when the bounty only continues to grow ㅡ and though he absolutely tries, he knows he can't promise your safety all the time.
You deserve stability and safety, a future that you can look to and find strong foundation in. You deserve more than what he can give you.
And though it hurts to think about the idea of losing you, Law tells himself that he'll support your decision, no matter what it may be.
To your surprise, there's more than a few people who recognize you, waving and offering greetings.
"Look at you, a genuine pirate now!"
"Staying out of trouble, right? Don't wanna see that pretty face on a Wanted poster!"
Law watches the way you interact with them and chastises himself for getting too into his worries of you wanting to stay here. It's clear that you miss it, but you never stray far from the small group that you've lead to gather supplies.
That is until there's a call of your name and Law looks over to find it to be an unfamilar man, perhaps a year or two younger than himself. He opens his arms, and jealousy rears its ugly green head in Law's chest when you dart forward to throw yourself into him.
He spins you, earning a shriek of delight from you before he sets you down. What he says next is inaudible, but he talks for several moments before your expression shifts to an unreadable one.
"Hey guys," you call, "canㅡcan you finish up without me? I'll meet you in a little bit, I just need to go do something."
There's varying murmurs of agreement, but something ugly blossoms in Law's stomach at the way your hand curls around the newcomer's.
When sunset rolls around and you still haven't come back to the Polar Tang, the ugly thing has curled claws deep into him and sewn its seeds of dissent.
Law knows you would never cheat on him, he knows ㅡ but the familiarity with which you'd treated the other man makes him wonder if you'd be happier with him rather than Law.
Again, if you'd be happier here.
Staring out at the town, it takes him a minute to register that the form growing closer is you, heart giving an uneasy lurch when he sees you lift an arm to your face. Had that other man hurt you?
A quiet "shambles" has him just a few feet from you now and you jolt, startled. "Law?"
"You've been crying," Law points out instead, the tear tracks that glisten on your cheeks. "Did that guyㅡ"
"He didn't do anything," you say, sweeping a hand over both your eyes to rid yourself of remnants. "He went with me to see my parents' graves. He's pretty much been my big brother since I was little, so he said he told everyone else that he wanted to be the one to tell me they'd passed."
Oh.
Law feels awful. He'd been worrying about you cheating on him, leaving him ㅡ and you hadn't been doing either. How could he think so little of you?
He steps closer, tugging you into his arms, heart aching at the muffled hiccup. He doesn't need to ask if you're okay when you're clearly not ㅡ and he feels even worse for the brief flare of satisfaction that you cling to him, fingers curled into his jacket.
"Sorry for worrying you," you mumble softly, "Should've come back sooner."
"Don't apologize." He pauses. "...it's me who should be doing that." When you pull away to look up at him, he looks away. "...I was worried you'd want to stay here. It's safer here, and you could find someone to give you what you deserve. Things I don't know if I can."
You stare blankly as you register his words, and he absolutely loathes the renewed shine of tears in your eyes. "Leave the Heart Pirates? The Polar Tang? You? Trafalgar Law, I would never."
He flinches at the usage of his full name, watching as you sniffle. "You owe me for making me cry again, idiot."
The uneasy tension in his chest starts to let up. "I do," he says. "I'll do anything you want me to."
You take the half-step needed to press your face back into his chest, your voice mumbled. "Can you shambles us back onto the ship? I'm tired and I wanna go home. My real home."
Relief floods his veins at your reassurance that you aren't going anywhere anytime soon, that he has nothing to worry about. That you're his as much as he's yours.
"Yeah," he answers. "Let's go home."

Professor Trein: Here are the things you need to submit.
Leona: Tch. That's a lot.
Professor Trein: Ha! You're the one who begged me to give you advance requirements to finish this semester immediately.
Leona: Well I want to get out of this school and be with my wife sooner.
Professor Trein: I know. *smiles* Anyway, the deadline will be next month. But you can submit them starting next week.
Leona: Yeah, yeah. Got it.
Professor Trein: Don't forget to invite me when your future children are born.
Leona: Sure. If you live long to witness that. Heh.
Vil: Working hard, are we? You might surpass us at this point.
Leona: What? Are you feeling threatened?
Vil: *smirks* No. It's just that...
Vil: Wouldn't that affect your quality time with your wife?
Leona: ...
Ruggie: Huh? What are you saying, Vil-senpai?
Ruggie: They never had a quality time.
Leona: ...
Vil: Ara... You mean to say her and Leona have never done things a normal couple would do?
Ruggie: Nah. I've never even seen them kiss.
Leona: That's where you're wrong. We'd kissed once.
Vil and Ruggie: !!!
Vil: Once? ONCE?
Leona: *getting irritated*
Ruggie: And you're proud with that? HAHA!
Leona: King's Roar...
Ruggie: Wait! Calm down, Leona!
Ruggie: Can you believe that?! Your husband almost turned us into sand!
Jack: What did you expect? Sir Leona is putting some effort for Her Majesty and you're making fun of him.
MC: *smiles* Ruggie, you should remind Leona to take it easy.
MC: I would love to see him relaxing than tiring himself out.
Ruggie: Okay. But he's really motivated to finish early this semester.
MC: I see. Then you should do the same too, Ruggie.
Ruggie: Huh?
MC: I got the message from Azul that he had successfully purchased the island. Now we're on to the next step which is gathering the necessary people that will live in there.
MC: You'll be one of them, Ruggie. And you too, Jack.
Jack and Ruggie: U-Us?!
MC: You'll be part of our pride. Therefore, you must exert the same effort your king is giving.
Ruggie: ...
Ruggie: Would I get my own house though?
Jack: H-Hey!
MC: Of course. *smiles*
Ruggie: Okay! You'll see me cracking those books!
MC's father: So my dear daughter is staying in Night Raven College with her husband?
A retainer: Yes, Your Highness.
MC's father: I see. You may leave.
*the retainer exits the room*
MC's father: ...
MC's father: I'll see you soon, my dear daughter.
MC's father: ...
MC's father: *cries* Why did you get married without inviting me? *ugly sobbing*

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 1610! Miles morales x reader
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ hc of playing acnh with miles bc I miss playing it
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ gag worthy fluff tbh, I need me a bf like miles
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ header by pastelwalks
Tumblr media
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ tbh he probably played before u two had gotten together but let’s pretend he didn’t rn
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ miles most definitely questions everything about the game
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷”why are we the only human??” “Why is the place being ran by a racoon?” “Who is this random otter in the ocean??”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷miles shaking trees and getting stung by wasp. After you told him that a villager can give him medicine he went up to one and they called him ugly LMFAO.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ I feel as if miles wouldn’t be picky when it comes to villagers, he loves all of them
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ skips all of blathers dialogue. “He talks to much” 😭
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷but because of blathers he remembers so many facts about dinosaurs, bugs and fish. He even recites them if he see it in public
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ “that’s a paper kite butterfly” “ I don’t now wether to write on it, fly it or spread it on toast”
“…what..”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ He isn’t really into the whole “selling villagers thing” and when he finds out you put your villagers up for sale on discord he judges so hard😭😭
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ “wdym your putting Moe up for sale???” “Miles he’s a ugly version of Tom, I don’t like him” “but FOR SALE??? That’s sounds like human trafficking”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ I feel like the villagers miles would like would be Dobie and Joey, don’t ask why they’re just adorable.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ now back to the actual game, miles would have BEEF with Tom nook (just like the rest of us)
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷” baby why do I have to pay a phone bill fee, he OFFERED the phone to me”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷imagine the first time he shoots down a ballon and it goes in the water LMFAO
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ when he has to build the nooks cranny alone, he would be so shocked at the amount of material he needs
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷”30?? 30 iron nuggets?? How am I supposed to get 30 iron nuggets if the rock only gives me two???”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ you start to treat him like he’s your sugar baby, giving him iron, regular wood (bc that shit is hard to get for no reason), flowers, literally anything
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷”hey baby, why’d you want to come to my island?? What are you dropping?? Is that MONEY, WHY ARE YOU DROPPING THOUSANDS OF BELLS??”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ he always says he’s gonna pay u back but you decline ofc
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ miles gets mad when he gets a sea bass for the 90th time so you offer for him to fish on your island only for him to get another see bass
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷” I got ANOTHER SEA BASS? If I hear this joke one more time I’ll start crying. “Baby here you try” *you pull a sunfish* *angry stare in disbelief*
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ he gets a little aggressive with Isabelle when she is trying to help the island get up to 3 stars and he keeps getting told “plant more flowers”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ now he gets 3 stars right, he’s fucking EXCITED like it took so long and he finally got it
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ miles fav k.k songs are kk crusin, kk surfin and kk western.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ I don’t think he has a theme going on, just kinda goes w the flow but loves watch island tours on YouTube
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷miles coming over to your island just to see you beating the hell out of a villager with your net and calling them names
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷”mi vida…. Why are you torturing them?..” “I want him to leave”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ most definitely has you design a Spider-Man costume for his character
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ I truly don’t know what his favorite season would even be, like idk I get spring vibes but it could be anything
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ having miles come to your island to catch the spiders that are harassing you. (I’m being so fr, the spiders scare me so much, if I see one I’m closing the whole game).
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ he WORSHIPS your island, like he loves it always praising you about it just UGH 😩 I LOVE HIM
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷” Amor??? Your island is so good, what?? How long did this even take?, you’re so talented I swear” “uhhhh haha it’s not that good” “ baby it’s AMAZING”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ acnh dates where Celeste is at your island and you both make wishes
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ “you know… my only wish is to be with you forever” “miles, you are so corny….I love you” “I love you to mi alma”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ spending the holidays together in acnh, like him wrapping up a gift for you during Christmas and you both exchanging them 😭😭 adorable
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ telling miles all of your island drama bc he swears yours is more entertaining
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ “omg baby, literally Raymond and Judy got into a fight the other day arguing about who’s better looking and Raymond said it was obviously him, so he was basically calling Judy ugly. THEN they had the audacity to ask me who looked better. “Whatttttt😮”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ he loves the game truly, he plays with you whenever you ask. He just got out the shower but you wanna play? let him hurry and put clothes on and he’s yours. Just got done patrolling after a long day but you wanna play? How could ever deny you with a face like yours?
Tumblr media
I literally love this sm, I might have to make another one with 42!miles and another with the twins 🤔🤔🤔 let me know if y’all want that bc I’ll have it done,

i trust ur opinions the most out of any skaighrhim fan i know of, you just never miss
i wanna know your sexuality headcanons
exactly.. speak! i truly never miss; but thank you 🤗💗💛 here i go precursor i think most skajrimlian males hate women so that will be explaining most thoughts here so just put a pin in that OK?
no asteriks in this post because it looks annoying 2 me ; brace yourselves
ulfric is definitely gay but only with relation to galmar (mutualism), he hasn't really ever liked anyone since enough to pursue. he is also gay only because he detests women and finds them disgusting after spending some time with elenwen in the torture dungeons, the events shuffling his neurons. same as ulfric, galmar is also light in the loafers, except out of choice. i just don't think he'd find the same 'excitement' in women. he sticks with ulfric atm because 1. of duty and 2. he's very much obsessed with the security ulfric's mental illness and need for reassurance brings him. He just makes him feel good! and ulfric's not even necessarily trying to. iykyk rikke is straight only cause she hasn't had the chance to experiment (always surrounded by men). she likes a responsible manly man. currently likes tullius and is failing at life Hard bc of it. probably used to like ulfric and/or galmar back when they were bffs but never got to join their men-only pond bathing sessions tullius is bis😁exual! and it drives him nuts, cause he's not allowing himself to get into male-on-male action fully. imagine that paired with his blossoming altmer fetish. it's a hard life to live let me tell U that ....... likes women when they're interesting enough and is more 'attracted' to men. he's more likely to Like an altmer woman. for men it's just a bonus. a big bonus. if he's an altmer. elenwen My daisy flower rose petal Goddess is straight but also i think she's above having a sexuality. i think she likes others based on how interesting she thinks they are, similar to tullius. don't waste her time elisif is bisexual but not in a way she's ready to comprehend with her frail mind (concussion after ulfric's shout that evaporated her boo boo hubby into slop also threw her against a wall), she just kinda searches for literal crumbs of Anything from anyone, will start liking someone if they're nice to her in many ways. bonus if you see her as a snelf like me: she tends to fall for th*lmor very easily cus she sees them often and likes being in their presence due to feeling some sort of familial elf-tie with them (tired of being around humans all the time) hmmmm.... these are most important so i'll talk about anyone else under the cut
fasendil my cuteums is the straightest man(mer) aliiive i think it's cus of the empire's influence. as i mentioned before tullius would have an eye on him but fasendil would swiftly reject him and lose any respect for him completely. he and rikke would be cute and have a very lukewarm Milk boiled water unsalted soup relationship, saying this nicely, i like them talvas my sweety ugly butterfly Apple fairy (sorry i didn't mean to call you that) is gay but he's not registering that information yet in 'canon' events; he's not really interested in love and isn't seeking it out. can't you see he's preoccupied.. with learning.. unlike you lowlifes.! probably never been attracted to a girl, doesn't think about them. he feels happier when praised by men, too. neloth is .... it's hard to tell tbh, but first and foremost i'd say he likes them YYYYOUNG (around 20-30 in human years) and prefers guys over women, just cus he thinks women are harder to deal with, annoying and r fussier. he probably isn't a fan of the usual affection that comes from women, makes him cringe really hard. prefers more of a hesitant type. why not say smth about this bozo: morgul is defffo gay. Bruh you left orc society to hang with ugly twink elves in some ashy stranded island?? 😂😂 bye maybe slitter lets him hit sometimes (is the pay that good?) lleril is an interesting case to me actually, i just remembered when i was reading up on adril it was mentioned he doesn't sleep in the same bed as his wife and it made me laugh really loud; Wow........ explains it all rly. lleril probably thinks nobody can tell he's gay even tho everyone.....can.......... and adril is literally walking around that dinky town doing backflips for him so.. Hm ancano is gay and likes the younger impressionable ones because nobody cares about his ugly ass ever. those always tend to be altmer, or just thalmor subordinates savos is also a blooming pansy with No experience. i think he's pretty good at making his feelings not known (and generally tends to not interact with a bunch of people) so yeah....... nothing LMFAOO this is why he needs some talvas twink action stat i think i ran out of thoughts for now but if anything else comes 2 mind i'll add it later😝

ARMAND IS NOT A MINIMALISM GIRLY I STG
my bad if this is an old news take I'm not sure, but I needed to get it out there regardless cuz I've got big thoughts.
So,, at least from what I've seen the perception around the state of the Dubai situation in amc iwtv is that Louis seems super miserable and "off" in the penthouse, and based on what we know of him in the books and in the show he is definitely not the type of character who would enjoy living in a sterile prison like minimalist hell, he likes coziness and warmth and humanity--which yes agreed. So the fair assumption to make is that since Louis doesn't enjoy his living situation, and he is living with a sterile off-putting ancient unknowable vampire who's cold personality aligns with the aesthetic of the penthouse, this probably means Armand is the orchestrater of this life style and is likely keeping Louis there despite his unhappiness.
I disagree!! With this!! I think assuming that Armand would hold someone prisoner is not out of line, but assuming that Armand would hold Louis prisoner in a house *like that* is just very unlike him. If Armand was the mastermind manipulator behind the penthouse prison that shit would be lavish, it'd be decked out. Louis would be so spoiled it'd be borderline ridiculous that he would ever want to leave. Armand is not beyond imprisoning his lovers, but he is beyond bad taste, and he knows home decor like a mf. His love language is essentially providing the people he loves with as much lavishness and belongings as they could possibly want until they hate him for it. Sugar daddy king. In devil's minion Daniel was arguably being kept against his will, yet he was being kept in a beautiful incredibly rich island mansion with every mortal possession he could ever want. Armand would not create the penthouse!! He would never stoop so ugly. I could only see him doing smth like this if he was furiously hateful of Louis,, like absolutely despised him, and idk about u but I do not get that vibe!! They definitely seem strained, but Armand very clearly wants Louis to be taken care of and protected.
So if armand is not designing the penthouse, who is, is the question now.. Well,, Armand may not be a character who builds a lifestyle with the intention of self restriction, dullness, and a lack of indulgence that feels prison like stale self isolating and full of agony, but you know who would? I wonder which vampire chronicles character would create a penthouse designed so that he can access as little stimulation joy or lavish possessions as possible, in the style of the monk, alongside an ethical yet plainly grotesque system of blood feeding that doesn't take human life. I wonder who would do that.. it couldn't possibly be Louis...the character who in the books denies himself new clothes or a nice house or technology because he "doesn't deserve it". Yah it's a mystery really. Lmfao.
I think Louis has built a prison of his own making bcus he sees himself as some sort of needy unhinged beast that needs to be caged in a scary under stimulating tower for the betterment of society. And Armand is assisting him begrudgingly under marriage and love obligation. The theory that the penthouse situation feels like watching a caged animal bite on its bars is one I agree with, but not for Louis, for Armand. Armand is restless bro he is on edge Louis is in his god damn self hating priestly self flagellation elementttt. They r both miserable and trapped but I think it's much more mutual then is often recognized. Throughout the season Louis is in control ASF and I don't think that was just an act. I'll see myself out now lmfao

HEY IM BACK
Haven't posted here for a while cause l kind of forgot this account but l have been thinking about Medea and Jason and their play again and U G H I love them so l drew Medea because she's a more complex and realistic character than all the feminist retelling characters COMBINED
Speaking of feminist retellings, here's a rant:
I think the thing that ticks me off the most is that they always make the women good, they're not allowed to be bad at all.
Circe has a lot of potential to be good with Madeline's unique ideas but it goes down the drain when you need to make women always good to be 'feminist'
Circe does a lot of bad things but in the end feels bad and eventually wants a punishment for it and HEY DONT
Let Scylla be a monster, don't confess the power you discovered and just... Idk? PURSUE A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH GLAUCUS NOW THAT HES SINGLE????
What was even the point if she wasn't even going to even be with him? I'm not just saying this cause l ship them or anything (l don't) but you just make Circe make Scylla a monster for no reason
I know damn well that Madeline could have come up with a better reason for her 'exile' (she doesn't even get exiled to the island, she just goes there BTW) you could have been like "Oh no one wants to marry me cause I'm ugly or whateva l guess l want a passion other than a man so l will live in this island from now on and pursue my interest in sorcery"
Is what l just made up good? No, l don't think so, but do you know what it is? FEMINIST. ITS FEMINIST BECAUSE ITS CIRCES CHOICE. SHE NEEDS A HOBBY AND SOMETHING OTHER THAN HER FEELING BAD FOR HERSELF AND ALWAYS BEING DOIBTFULL OF HERSELF. I THOUGHT FEMINISM WAS EMPOWIRNG
Let a woman be bad, not all of them have to be saints. If you make them have flaws and toxic traits you make them realistic and relatable which makes them likable

What's one of your favorite songs right now?
THIS!! IS THE HOUR OF MY FAVOURITE MUSICIANS PROPAGANDA
so. so. im a big fan of BLACK DRESSES. they are my favourite band forever. and i love devi mccallion's and ada rook's own music as well!!!!!!!
SHORT ANSWER: every black dresses songs and most of devi mccallion's and ada rook's discography + the ones i mentioned riiight in the end of this post
LONG ANSWER: i CAN'T pick ONE of my favourite songs bc im INSANE about music so im just gonna drop a small list of songs that are literally playing in my head as i type this bc background music is always in my head
i do have to say quite a lot of their songs have explicit language in 'em and are usually very loud if you decide to give them a listen, like i don't doubt that it's not for everyone but just giving a heads up...i love them for making me feel like im not alone in the struggle of not fitting in with this world...plus i love the weird noises and screaming in songs lol!!!
so here's some songs from albums that are in my head rn!!!! (if you want to skip my brainrot i added non-black-dresses-or-rookor-devi music that i enjoy in the end!!!)
- BLACK DRESSES (Album: LAUGHINGFISH)
CAN'T KEEP THE KNOTS OUT DON'T FORGIVE THE WORLD I STILL SEE EVERYTHING NO DAYS OFF
- Ada Rook (Album: UGLY DEATH NO REDEMPTION ANGEL CURSE I LOVE YOU)
TRU U (I WANT TO SAY. in this song. the chorus makes me think of artificer because i have a rain world brainrot but i literally dont know how and what to do with this i just love this song)
Tumblr media
COWARD 2 COWARD (honestly PROBABLY one of my MOST favourite songs.....ironically enough) VANISH/DOOM
also i have already mentioned on my blog but Rook's separated from her twin, a dying android arrives on a mysterious island. has a special place in my heart too and also smh vibes rain world to me idk why.... also i have another favourite in Rookie's Bustle - 920LONDON (i love this song and it made me very curious about the comic with the same name i wish i could get it...)
- Devi McCallion . lately been relistening to Fun Fun Fun, an MLP based album she released under aliases of Cats Millionaire! i love her pony songs!!! all of them!!!!!!!!
my FAVOURITE song from this one is def Exclusive Royal Canterlot Wedding Playset bc...thats how i found out about this album and it was the fact that its a chrysalis song made it 100% more special bc its such a fun song i love the allegory
but generally all the songs in this album are rn looping in my head...
also been thinking about I'm So Sorry and the song with same title from it.....it just makes me feel and i can't describe what it makes me feel but i just feel this song
also i really live Receiver!!
anyways sorry this post is so long i just wanted to brainrot about my favourite music bc I'M NOT NORMAL!!!
in addition: if you want to give something i like a listen but dont vibe with what i listed i also listen to Descend by Toby Fox (from Homestuck) on loop (this ost consists of leitmotifs only(im pretty sure???) and im not normal about that), i remember the entirety of June by American Murder Song by heart, i've been drawing an answer for my latest moon clinic ask yesterday with Ocean Breathes Salty by Modest Mouse ON LOOP. it just had THE VIBE of what it has hehe. i also recently found out that i really enjoy electro swing???? ALSO as a bonus: my favourite rain world ost is.............Grumblebum! another one would be The Coast...love the melancholic feeling of it.

"(Mercurials are unfairly critical of others, have you noticed?) and she frequently took digs at me and was one of those people who make jokes at the expense of others."
on at least 5 separate occasions throughout the years i, with the help of another friend, have had to sit down and explain to my mercurial friend that she has to think before she speaks and how you can't just constantly insult people 💀 she's genuinely one of the most critical people i know, some examples include her walking around every inch of my island in animal crossing and tearing apart everything she saw for like an HOUR. yes it was in a video game, and yes im still salty!! she also would ask to read my creative writing or essays and then annotate it with her criticisms WITHOUT ME ASKING HER TO 😭😭 i remember the first time she graded my short story i wrote for fun an F and i was just staring in utter disbelief
she also would constantly make fun of peoples looks in a joking way (myself included) and when i told her to stop she'd play innocent like it was just a harmless joke, begrudgingly apologize, and do it again like a week later. i've observed this sort of underhanded behaviour in two mercury women so i think they might have a habit of it? i get complimented a lot and yes i'm tooting my own horn here but i am very good looking however she had an OBSESSION with getting unflattering photos of me and then sending them to our friends "as a joke" and then would play the victim when i got mad. like sorry i don't want our whole social circle thinking i look like albino shrek omg
OMG BESTIEEE I FEEL SO SEEN IM GOING TO CRY,, WE SHOULD START A SUPPORT GROUP FR
the biggest reason why i cant stand Mercurial women is how theyre sooo deeply insecure that they'll tear apart others just to feel better about themselves
yearsss ago I got a really cute bag for really cheap and i was talking about it with my Mercurial friend and she said "it looks ugly thats why it was cheap" and she was carrying around a tattered, worn out, faded ass bag lmaooo
another mercurial girl who was average looking criticized practically everybody we knew for being ugly. she wore the shittiest clothes and criticized other people's sense of style
an Ashlesha Moon girl i knew never said one nice thing about me but often praised our other friends for no reason and made them sound like the second coming of Cleopatra,, i called her out on it and she told me "i thought you heard enough from others, i didnt know you were desperate for validation from me as well" 💀💀
THE BACKHANDED COMMENTS u mentioned??? bestieee we're all victims here 😭😭
so between 8th and 10th grade, i was in an extremely abusive homoerotic friendship with an Ashlesha Moon,,, she was always putting me down for no reason. i kinda sing,, i am not a brilliant singer but i have won prizes in school for singing so i know i dont suck as a singer. one time she asked me to sing for her on call and then she was silent and said "its not exactly brilliant but its not horrible i guess" 10 yrs later, i wish i couldve reached out through the phone to smack her face,,, i was in my poet era back then and tbh my poetry was pretty good if i say so myself and this girl??? always accused me of plagiarism,, i took it in my stride bc i was like "ok if u think im THAT good then what do i do" lol.
i could go on but ill stop here ,,, i hope i never meet another mercurial again amen

Chapter 6 - The Story Of Our Life
Tumblr media
As Jotaro noticed a man watching them intently from the bushes, the Crusaders ran after the stalker, only to find him once again, at his little residence, feeding his chicken. Joseph when to speak to him, only for the old man to react hostile and run inside his home, though not without gesturing for them to come over also. That was Avdol's father - Or, well, that was the story, at least. In truth, it was really Avdol in disguise. It took a while for the poor man to recuperate, and he also needed to do some... Shopping of sorts, so they could get a submarine and embark it, to get to Egypt already.
The party followed the old man into his own house, only for him to reveal himself as Avdol - And Polnareff made quite the scene, ugly sobbing and hugging the hell outta that man. Avdol was alive! Yay!  Even though everyone else knew, anyway.
They agreed to remain hidden in the house until nightfall, so no possible enemy could detect them and realise that the foe they originally thought dead, was actually alive. It took almost two weeks for him to properly recover - Like hell will he allow himself to get in such a state ever again.
"Yo, Avdol, what's that weird book?" Polnareff asked, a beer in his hand, still celebrating his friend's living status. "... It is not mine. I have not brought this here." Avdol's mutter sombered everyone sitting at the table. "It looks like an old tome. The cover seems to be leather, and it has a Sun depicted on it." Kakyoin looked at it, pondering over the mysterious book. "If I recall correctly, you've already fought all Major Arcana Stands, with the exception of The Sun and High Priestess." Avdol hummed in thinking. "So you think this book could be in relation to The Sun's Stand power?" Kisara asked, attracted by the vintage-looking book. "Should be throw it in the fireplace? Get rid of it?" Polnareff asked, looking weirdly at it. "No. Maybe it contains some kind of clue?" Joseph pondered. "One thing's certain - The enemy is onto us, and most likely on this island." "And he knows about Avdol. If he gets out of the island, he could alert Dio's lackeys." Jotaro gruffed, frowning at the book. "And if he heard us speaking, he knows of the submarine also, so he can make his escape." Avdol pointed out. "Let's check this book out then and see what we find."
Without even as much as discussing beforehand, Kisara and Jotaro extended their hands to touch the tome, coincidentally, at the same time - But as they did, their bodies fell faint onto the ground, and nothing they tried was capable of waking them up. Kakyoin and Polnareff dragged the two teenagers onto the bedroom, placing them comfortably on the bed and trying to figure out a way to snap them awake.
Noriaki remained guarding the two, with the others going out to investigate - The island was small and tranquil, filled with tall vegetation which could mask away any presence, but not thick enough so that, without proper searching for, they couldn't eventually find a culprit. Eventually, Frenchie found an old, skinny man, stalking them with a pair of binoculars from the top of the tallest tree on the island - He had a perfect view inside the house, through the window, and right at the two teens laying unconscious.
"An old man is The Sun?" Polnareff gaped at the prisoner.  "I'm 60, not old!" the old man growled at the frenchie. "That's ancient!" Joseph glared at the silver haired idiot. "Tell us about your Stand." Avdol grabbed the enemy by his shirt, shaking him angrily. "Why should I?" he cackled like a maniac. "I got your strongest Stand users in my trap - And there's no way they'll find out how to get outta there!" "Wh-What?!" Polnareff gasped. "There's no way! Jotaro and Kisara are super smart, they'll find a way!" "Like hell they will!" his grin was splitting his face in two."Only if they kill themselves like Romeo and Juliet, will they find the way out - Death!"  Joseph punched the enemy in the face before roughing him up well, back to the house. "This is your Stand, isn't it? We'll burn it to hell, and watch you burn with it." "If you want to burn your grandson, that is." the Sun was in no way afraid. "If anything happens to this book, they'll die, but I won't." Polnareff and Avdol immediately protested, but Joseph stopped them. "THIS book? You mean there's another book?" the witty man asked skeptically. "But of course! How else are those two lovebirds supposed to find their path in life, between the words of my tragic fairy tale?" he giggled creepily. "I know what your Stand, Hermit Purple, can do, Joseph Joestar. You have a TV - Why don't you turn that book into a movie? I bet these youngsters with focus problems would never bother reading. That's how our generation goes."
Joseph used the purple thorny veins to move the book in front of the TV, where they all gathered to watch the movie. They couldn't even believe their eyes when they saw the otherwise pixelated TV screen turn into two split images - One showing Kisara, and the other, Jotaro... But they looked... So odd. The four watchers didn't even hear the off-comments from that bastard; They were entirely attentive to the poor victims inside the TV, confused and very much afraid.

On one hand, Jotaro was dressed in the military outfit of a general, a sword at his hip, and attended by his servants; It was the first time either of them saw him so genuinely confused and uncomfortable, and without that hat of his to hide his expression away, he seemed to scare everyone around with his hardened frown and deep glare.
"Poor Master Kujo, I can't believe he was forced to marry such a useless demon-woman.""I heard they never even spent the night together. What's the point of a marriage if it isn't consummated? You can't make an heir out of nothing.""She's not even that pretty, and her blood isn't royal. She's just some stupid common girl - What the hell did he see in her? Is she a kitsune? A seductress?""They're just going to divorce anyway, so what's the point?""No man would ever like such a scary and opinionated harpy as his wife. They don't make good mothers."
"Shut the fuck up!" the watchers jumped in their skin as Jotaro's booming voice darkly silenced everyone; He was so angry that even they, from the other side of the screen, felt it.  "Master Kujo, please calm down. It is a bad omen to get angry on the day of the funeral." one of the servants bowed to him. "Your mother and grandfather would have wanted you to smile. For them." Jotaro looked at the man flabbergast, but said nothing; He just allowed himself to be guided to the destination. He seemed to be taken to a joint funeral of sorts.

On the other side of the screen, Kisara was being dressed in a straight plain black kimono, the top of her hair demurely pinned, as the other cascaded down her back. Unlike Jotaro, who exuded confidence and anger, Kisara almost looked like a trembling kitten in the rain. So scared, so petrified and so... Submissive?
"Poor Lady Kisara, being forced to marry that scary man. He may have wealth and status in the army, but he is a half-breed.""Yes, I heard no woman can stand him because he's so cruel.""And I heard he abuses the women until they run away from him.""Really I heard he has some weird fetishes. He may be handsome, but he's a pervert with no qualms."
"I fear for Lady Kisara's life, once that beast decided to bed her."
"Will you please quiet your gossiping already? You're giving me a headache." though not loud and hostile as the boy, Kisara's tone was cold and edging. "Lady Kisara, please calm down. It is a bad omen to get angry on the day of the funeral." one of the servants bowed to her. "Your brother and friend would have wanted you to smile. For them." Kisara looked at the woman petrified, but said nothing; She just allowed himself to be guided to the destination. She seemed to be taken to a joint funeral of sorts.

"Ohhh my goooooood!!" Joseph was the only one able to shriek loudly upon seeing his grave and his name carved on the stone - A second time. It was a funeral for four people.
Joseph Joestar. Kujo Holly. Kakyoin Noriaki. Jean-Pierre Polnareff.
"What the hell is going on?! We ain't dead!" Polnareff glared at the old man. "I made it so that those who don't touch the book are seen as dead." he cackled. "Of course, I thought Avdol was dead so I didn't bother; And what better way to make it painful for Joestar and Kujo, than to show them their precious Holly very much dead?" it took three people to keep Joseph away from outright beating the hell out of that fucker. "Let go of me! Imma rip him to shreds! That's my little girl!" poor Joseph was getting angrier with each of The Sun's ugly cackles. "Mr. Joestar, calm down! Your daughter is in good hands right now - But if we kill him now, there's no way of telling what might happen to Jotaro and Kisara!" Avdol tried to speak some sense into him. "Mr. Joestar, please - We have to find out what's with the other book." Noriaki's voice, though just as terrified for the life of his sister, remained somewhat grounded. "I want to save Kisara as much as you want to save Jotaro."

As soon as the two teenagers were taken to the funeral, they bumped into each other, and their eyes got wide with shock; Though Jotaro was completely stunned and unable to react, Kisara had thrown herself into his arms. "I'm so happy to see you. I was so scared. So alone." she looked like such a little, inoffensive kitten in his arms.
"It's fine. We're together now." he muttered, holding her a little awkwardly. "I can't take Star out." "I can't take Marilyn either." she said. "JoJo - Do you realise where we are?" "Not entirely." he grumbled. "It's like we were sent back in time." "This looks like the Meiji Restoration. Just a little after the defeat of the Shinsengumi." her fingers dug deep into his sleeves. "The Tokugawa Shogunate was ended, and the Imperialist regime was brought back. The borders are open for export and import, especially with the Americans, and the Western part of Europe; All kinds of people and culture mold together, everyone speaks a different language, wear different clothes, eat different things." the girl gulped, looking up into the boy's aquamarine eyes, which showed only a fraction of what he was feeling hearing everything Kisara was saying. "JoJo. This is a time of war, without being real war. People are killed for no reason, and the culprits don't go to jail under political pretense." "In other words, anything can kill us." Jotaro earned a solemn nod. "Did you see whose funeral we are attending?"
Kisara looked down, before stealing a look at the graves; As soon as she saw her brother's picture and name, she buried her face in Jotaro's chest and cried. "Even if it's fake, I can't take it." "Yeah... Me neither." he sighed, seeing the picture of his mum and grandpa. How eerie.
They remained quiet for the duration of the funeral, holding hands as a silent sense of comfort, before they were to finally return home - His home. It wasn't until the servants started gossiping again that they realised they were supposedly married, in this scenario. "So they were talking about you?!" the looked at each other weirdly. "But they said you're scary and abusive." Kisara blurted out at the same time as Jotaro scoffed. "They said you're an opinionated harpy." they had to look away and stifle their chuckle. "As long as it's you..." the girl smiled demurely. "... I suppose it's fine." the boy seemed content with the idea.
In spite of how creepy the idea of attending such a funeral, JoJo and Kisara found domestic bliss somewhat... Happy. As they investigated the house, they would speak about tidbits regarding this Meiji era, and how to get out of this book. Clearly, a book has pictures or words, it has a plot and a narrative line they must follow; And once they reach its end, they will go back in the real world. Right? They weren't sure how time passed in the real world, but hopefully, they weren't wasting as much time out there, as inside the story; By the time they explored his mansion, it was already late into the night, so they had to sleep.
"Is it okay if I sleep with you?" Kisara asked, a little shy, leaning on the frame of his bedroom door. "I'm... Scared of being alone." "Who knows what kind of weird rumours we'll hear tomorrow if my wife doesn't sleep with me." he chuckled, patting the other side of the bed. "Or maybe they'll think you're some kind of yuurei."  The girl couldn't help but scoff in amusement and get in bed. "To hell with their gossips. I just want to get out of here. This place gives me the creeps." Jotaro hummed in agreement. "I just hope the others don't touch the book and get here." he affirmed. "My only faith is in your brother. If Kakyoin doesn't get us outta here, we're screwed." "Wanna know a secret?" Kisara puffed lightly. "I always think people are trying to call out to me also when they call our family name. It's kinda weird." "I noticed that." Jotaro smirked a little. "You always twitch to turn a little on the side." they laughed a little, before silence took over them. "Do you think I'm scary?" Kisara shook her head. "Intimidating?" "Maybe a little, at a first glance." she admitted. "You're always frowning. But I get it. I wear my hat because I'm incredibly photosensitive. At the slightest light discomfort, my face is contorted." "Like when Polnareff stole your hat to pick fruit and Kakyoin had to give you his sunglasses because you were agonising dramatically." the girl grinned at his recollection of the memory.  "At least we got some nice fruit, from my noble sacrifice." she looked so content like that, recalling memories with their friends... Cuddled in his arms so cosy. "I always thought people could tell what I feel from the way I express myself. Guess I was wrong." Jotaro concluded. "But you always know what I'm thinking. How's that?" "I'm an Esper, of course." she only giggled, seeing his ridiculous eyebrow raise. "I can read people well, that's all. I am intuitive, and especially with people I've been around so long, it's pretty easy to understand their intentions." "Do you think mum knows I'm out there, risking my life to save her?" he asked. "Because even though I was the shittiest son in the fucking world, I care for her more than anything." "I think she knows that, yeah." Kisara reassured him, leaning up on her elbows to caress his troubled face. "Your mum is an Esper." "I bet she is. A fucking Angel." he gruffed, a little melancholic. His smile fell, and he looked up into Kisara's green eyes. "I'm pretty pathetic, aren't I?" "I never once thought that. In fact, I think you're pretty amazing." she shifted her position to stay on her knees besides him, cupping his face. "You are just a boy of 17, traveling the world and fighting all sorts of people who are trying to kill you, just to save your mum. There's not many who would do that." "I'm not alone in that." he pointed out quickly. "Everyone needs some help sometimes. There's no shame in that." she grinned. "Besides - Two months all alone on the road, with no one to chat with? Boring as hell. Imagine how lame it would be without Polnareff and his stupid jokes." she exclaimed with encouragement. "You're my brother's first and only friend, you know? He's always so happy to chat about your common interests with you. He's the happiest I've ever seen him before." she continued with her tender tone. "And I bet Mr. Joestar is happy too, to get this opportunity of bonding with his grandson. I doubt he got many occasions to see you prior to this, considering he lives on the other side of the world." "And now that we've finally got Avdol back, we've got someone to talk some sense into us when we need it." the boy nodded his head lightly.
"JoJo." the girl leaned down to kiss his forehead. "You can cry if you want. It's just the two of us here." her warm voice filled him with bliss and comfort. "You are just a man. You don't need to keep strong all the time. It's alright to show what you're feeling. It's alright to cry. You're not any weaker for doing that." the way his precious gem-eyes widened with shock hearing those words was so vulnerable and endearing.  Jotaro slowly got in a sitting position, looking down at the beautiful girl trying so hard to shield and mend his throbbing heart, as if it was a treasure of sorts. "Why do you try so hard for me? I don't get it. You're a stranger to me, we only just met a few weeks ago. You don't need to treat me with the same care you do your brother." "Are we not friends? Have you not already done the same for me already?" his silence was an answer also. "I care for you as much as you care about me, JoJo." she gently cradled his head into her chest, allowing him to embrace her tightly; She could feel the soft trembles of his body, as some tears escape his eyes, and fall down her neck. "Until your mum gets better, let me be your safe haven, JoJo. You can rely on me with anything you need." was this why women were so special? Because with a single touch, a single word, they can turn sorrow into content and desperation into hope? ... Hatred into love, even? "Let me protect you, JoJo. Tonight, tomorrow, and any time you need me. I will always be here for you."
Though the night felt short, it was fulfilling, for Jotaro now felt so much lighter, having expelled all of his worries and burdening emotions weighting his heart and soul so painfully hard; And now, at least, he was certain of one thing - Once he saved his mother, he's going to introduce her to Kisara. Suzie, Holly and Kisara, the only three women he will ever love in his life. The next morning they served breakfast together - Though he was dressed in the same general outfit, black and gold and  with that sword at his hip, Kisara was in the prettiest, most expensive-looking pink kimono with golden embroidery, and her innocent cuteness was only highlighted by the flowery accessories in her hair. Their breakfast was served in complete silence; Not only was Jotaro feeling beyond awkward for overflowing his emotions so easily, but he also slept in a girl's arms. She didn't seem to be uncomfortable or bashful in any way; On the contrary, rather. What a genuine woman.
Their plan was to go to her own mansion, in search for some clues - Yet they got stopped by a frantic man who threw himself at their feet. The watchers realised it was the character of the Stand user. "Master! Please, help me, Master!" the man clinged onto Jotaro's legs. "They're gonna kill me if I don't find someone fast!" "What's going on?" Kisara asked, sharing a worried look with her husband. "I run a geisha house, you see - But the girl the Americans requested  has fallen ill, and there's no one else who speaks English!" he was shaking violently with fear. "Those businessmen are going to have my throat!"
"How'd you know she knows English?" Jotaro grumbled suspiciously. "The lady looks like a foreigner, and based on her outfit and jewels, I assumed she is a noblewoman." sighing, Kisara placed her hand gently over Jotaro's biceps, gesturing him to lean over. "I think this is our story's plot turn. Maybe we should take it and see what happens from here." she suggested naively. "This isn't gonna end well." he muttered. "But I think you're right." "What may we help you with?" the girl asked. "It's really nothing difficult, I swear! I just need a pretty lady to pour sake for the guests and maybe play an instrument. I swear, nothing else - They won't even touch or look at you!" "Only if I stay in the same room." Jotaro gruffed with authority. "Yes, yes, of course - Americans love eye-candies like you." the groveling man nodded vigorously. "Look at your eyes - You're not pureblood Japanese, are you?" "That's not really for you to know, is it?" he threw the man off his leg. "Move."
The old man took them to a most luxurious Geisha house; JoJo and Kisara looked around subtly for any trap, but found none. With so many ladies around, a commotion was going to be easy to pull off. "Will you be okay?" the boy muttered in her ear, his hand unconsciously raising to move a strand of hair behind her ear. "I've done this before, remember? This should be piece of cake." this heart skipped a bit, watching that lovely smile and the soft pink blush caressing her cheeks. She looked other-wordly, so beautiful, so perfect that he was sure there was no word in the dictionary to describe properly the way she was making him feel. Was it the same for her, he wondered. Was she as as thoroughly in love with him? Was she seeing him as attractive too?
As they agreed, Jotaro entered the chamber first, going to lean back on the corner and pretend he doesn't even exist; And though he was supposed to keep an analytical eye open to investigate the situation, he was lost in the beauty of the maiden before him; The girl to whom his married in this fantasy world. He couldn't help but wonder if this happened because his heart yearned for her without as much as realising - But no, probably not, that sounds far too deep for a Stand power.
Kisara knelt on the cushion with such demure grace. "Good afternoon, Master. My name is Kisara, and I will be providing entertainment for you today." she bowed with such princess subtlety, and her voice was so soft and feminine, yet it somehow hid any emotions. "Ha! The old man sure provided today!" the Japanese businessman smirked, raising his cup. "Come pour us some sake." "Japan truly has some outstanding beauties." one of the Americans chuckled. "I've been around for a few weeks but I haven't seen any woman with hair and eyes of such colour! Hey, lady, do you have European ancestry?" Jotaro was quite surprised to see she wasn't answering or even raising her eyes to look at the loud men; Instead, she was kneeling by everyone's side, pouring them sake with such delicacy that it was lost on these vulgar fucks.  "Oi! You deaf? Why don't you answer me, woman? How disrespectful!" "That's a fine woman right here." the Japanese one hummed in approval. "Unlike your loud, obnoxious wenches, our women know their place. They hardly ever talk, just like pretty porcelain dolls, you see. Japanese women don't nag you endlessly, and they don't even get mad when you cheat on them!" Jotaro wanted to rip them all to shreds. How dare they speak so disgustingly about the women who take care of them, anyway? If they were all alone, they'd go to shit. "Is that so? Then I can curse and insult her, and she won't even bat an eye?" the American hollered a laugh. "Hey, missy! I want to rip that pretty dress of yours and fuck you on the table, in front of everyone." Kisara's passive smile hadn't even twitched. "I'll fuck a bastard in your womb for your husband to raise!" she rose again, going to the loud man to pour him some alcohol. "Or maybe I'll steal you away to America and make you my mistress?" her fingers weren't trembling from all those lecherous comments. Fascinating. "LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU, YOU LITTLE WHORE!"
As the American grabbed Kisara, manhandling her painfully into his lap, his grip on her arm no doubt close to creating bruises, the Japanese businessman had to grab the American's attention - Lucky him, otherwise Jotaro would have taken that damn sword and made him into mince meat for daring to touch his woman. ... Did he just really think that? 'His' woman? He's going crazy.
"You don't touch a Geisha." the Japanese man continued with a string of insults that the American couldn't understand. "Why not? She's pretty, I wanna fuck her." Jotaro couldn't even imagine the amount of strength and self-restraint she must be holding to not react or even tense up under the perverted, rough touch of an old fuck. "She's a Geisha, not a courtesan. You are in my country, so respect our culture. Nobody is allowed to touch Geishas. Let her go." the Japanese continued. "If she accepts your advances and pay, it's fine, but if she doesn't, you don't touch her." The American growled, pushing the girl off his lap, watching as she knelt back on the cushion once again, looking with the empty eyes of a princess doll. "Fine. Hey, woman, you understand me, don't ya?" he was so fucking drunk, even Jotaro could feel his reeking breath. "I'll pay you well; I can give you diamonds and jewellery and expensive clothes." she said nothing. "Answer me already, you nasty bitch!" "A woman must first count the amount of words she must speak, before doing so." Kisara's words made the Japanese man smirk proudly. "The rules of woman etiquette state that a woman must never speak more than the man." Jotaro wanted to bash his skull against a brick wall hearing such aberrations spewing from her pretty mouth - Who the fuck came up with that ruke anyway? There's no man who wouldn't want to hear Kisara's pretty voice; In fact, he wanted to hear it all the time, night and day and in between also. He was addicted to her voice, and like hell would he ever tell her to speak less - She's already barely speaking; And she never engages in small talk anyway, like Polnareff and his grandpa do often; Hearing her voice is a precious gem. "Do that calculus well, missy; I want a satisfactory answer." the American grumbled angrily. "I am married to a most wonderful man. I could never imagine even as much as looking at another." Jotaro's breath hitched in his throat, seeing that otherwise passive and empty smile turn into such a glowing look when speaking of him. His head was spinning a little. "You don't get it, do you? I'm the richest man in America - There's no way some rice-lover with a dick smaller than the chopsticks he eats with can offer you more than I can!" the American earned no reply. "How dare you ignore me again?!" "The Phoenix only soars the Celestial Heavens with her Golden Dragon." though the American had no clue what she was speaking of, the Japanese wanted the woman before him for himself. She was going to become his mistress. "And the Golden Dragon does not concern himself with the earthly chattering of mice." it took a lot out of Jotaro not to smirk smugly; The Phoenix and the Dragon, huh? Even he knew she was referring to the symbolism of the Emperor and Empress, ruling the empire together. What a lovely and poetic way of confessing her feelings for him, whilst also shading the fuck outta that lecherous jerk. "HOW DARE YOU--" but as the American attempted to grab the girl again, the Japanese businessman got roughly held by the shoulder and pushed back on his cushion. "If I have to warn you a second time not to act like a brat throwing a temper tantrum, I promise you, the deal is through and I will make sure you get deported." Jotaro couldn't help but notice the dark aura surrounding the Japanese businessman; It was him, the real threat, not that loud mouth. "Lady Kisara, if you would be so kind, will you play a song for us? It is clear that your beauty drunkened Mr. Howard, and is in need of some calming of his mind."
Kisara bowed her head demurely at the man, before getting up and looking around the room; There was a Koto on the ground, but she didn't know how to play that, and there was no flute or zither around; Well, in this time, she was pretty sure the Japanese hated the Chinese, so no wonder there were no such instruments around. Thankfully, a grand piano was placed close to Jotaro, and she smiled. She knew just what to sing.
Fill my heart with song And let me sing forever more You are all I long for All I worship and adore
In other words Please, be true In other words I love you
Kisara was sure Jotaro knew the song; Frank Sinatra sung it in '64, and with his dad's music preference and the romantic undertones, he was sure to have heard it around the house.  The American huffed in anger; How dare that woman reject him with such disrespect? But the Japanese was satisfied; The perfect woman had shown herself to him, demure, quiet, beautiful, graceful, intelligent, eloquent and artistic - And best of all, she looked absolutely untainted and innocent, like a pretty cherry blossom in spring. Miss Kisara was going to be his. He wasn't sure the symbols used to write her name, but with a name like that, they must be only the superlative; Empress and Cherry blossom, Goddess and Beloved, Hope and Flower; or maybe even Radiance and Star.  Either way, she was perfect.
But Jotaro wasn't thinking of all that; In fact, he was hardly thinking at all. Gazing at her from the corner of his eyes, he could see her side profile and the tender smile on her face as he sang that love song. Was it for him, he wondered. He sure hoped so. There was even a gleam of emotion in her eyes, and she must be fighting hard to stop herself from wavering, as she did when playing the flute for him. It wasn't the time and place for overflowing feelings displayed, yet he could feel it all. Her fingers caressed the clavier with such elegance, and the melody sounded like it was embracing his soul with so much love and adoration. He couldn't understand how she was doing it, but she was. Gods save him, he had fallen so hard for her, yet he doubted he could ever be the same again.
The meeting ended and the American and Japanese came to a rather nice deal; Yet although the foreigner left the room, the other one didn't. "Well done, both of you. You especially, little dove." the man towered over her, picking her chin roughly and forcing her to look at him. "The old man did a splendid job, providing me with a mistress." "Let go of her." Jotaro warned him in a threatening voice. "Let go? Why would I? She is my gift, don't you know?" the Japanese looked at the confused frown on the boy's face. "Ah, I get it! The old man fooled you, didn't he? You thought this was just a favour you were doing for an old man? How foolish, how naive!" he grinned lecherously, pulling the girl into his arms. "All the pretty ladies provided at my business deals become my mistresses." "Why do you need so many women, then?" Jotaro stepped forward, only for the man to take out a pistol, cock it and place it at her temple. "I get bored easily, you see. Women are like plucked flowers - They wilt eventually, they lose their charm, and become stale. I bore rather fast of the same reactions all over again. The same screams, the same thrills - Even the most princess-like woman, as quiet as she was, squealed like a pig roasted alive when I had my way with her." he sighed dramatically. "But I have high hopes for this one - She hadn't even twitched a muscle when that moron grabbed her! I knew she was the perfect little angel for me." "You are sick in the head." Jotaro spat with disgust. "You're her husband, aren't you?" the man smirked cruelly. "If you want your girl to live, well - Give me your sword and leave." "Do as he says, JoJo." Kisara's eyes hid a secret message; And Jotaro complied. "I don't want you to be hurt, my darling." "Haha, what a woman! Even with a gun to her head, she still cares for her husband more than her own life!" he cackled, shifting the gun towards the young man. "Sword. Now." "Take it, you sick fuck."
Jotaro stepped just in reach, the barrel of the fun to his forehead as he took out the sword with the scabbard inched towards the girl; And with perfect sync, he wrestled the gun away while Kisara grabbed the sword and killed the perverted man, falling limp to the ground in a pool of his own blood. "Great. We are criminals. Now what?" "The old man got us here for a plot reason; We were supposed to be here. Maybe there's some clue in this room?"
With a nod of agreement, they searched the place up and down, until they found a hidden room behind a bookshelf; JoJo pushed it out of the way; It was small like a cupboard, but placed on a pedestal, was a book looking just as the one they touched. Eagerly, they both touched it at the same time, thinking they'd be teleported back to their world --
Nothing happened.
"Fuck." they both groaned.  "So, what do we do now?" Kisara asked as Jotaro picked the book, opening it; He skimmed through it before urging the girl to sit down with him. "This book has our story written." he pointed to the words on the paper. "Then let's skip to the end and see what's up." but the ending unveiled left them somber. "So... You die protecting me, and I kill myself from grief." he scoffed, slamming the book shut. "Bloody likely." "If our fates are pre-determined, then perhaps, to escape the book, we have to defy what's already written. We stray from what's already written, make our own story." they looked up at the ceiling, leaning onto one another. "Not gonna be easy." he spat. "The book says the authorities are going to come over before we can escape." the implication that one of them must sacrifice themselves for the other to live was outlandish. "Do you know what that means?" Kisara shook her head vigorously; He knew her gesture was one to show she was unable to accept the faux reality they were living in. "I can't take you dying on me." she said. "Maybe there's some hidden button around, some escape tunnel - Anything at all."  "I already checked. There's none. We are trapped here, and time is ticking." Jotaro got up to his feet. "I'll lead them away from you; Wouldn't want a stray bullet to pierce the wall and get you." he said.  "You can't -- JoJo, no!" she shot up, clinging onto him fearfully. "You can't go! You'll die!" he nodded his head in acceptance. "I can't do it alone! I can't do this without you! Please, don't go!" "You're smart, stop whining." he cupped her face tenderly, smiling at her. "I know you're afraid, but you can do it without me. You just have to live. That's my intuition - And we both defy fate. Just live." "But I don't want to live without you." his expression softened, wiping away the tears with his thumbs; He absolutely hated seeing her cry so sorrowfully, his heart always broke painfully, one piece for each of her tears. "I am afraid, JoJo. I'm afraid without you." "Be strong - For me and for Kakyoin. Be strong just a little more, and when we're outta here, you won't have to be again. I promise." he kissed her forehead softly, a lucky charm from the heart, a most tender confession. "Kisara - Promise me you'll fight hard to return back to the real world. Your brother especially needs you the most." he leaned in to whisper in her ear. "And so do I." "Okay." she whimpered, her body trembling softly in his arms. "Please take care of yourself and everyone out there; Find the Stand user and figure out a way to get me out of here. I don't know how long I can bare staying in the awful story." "I bet the other have already found something. There's no way anyone can outwit Kakyoin, especially when it comes to your safety." the loud noise coming from a multitude of people slamming open the front door of the Geisha house signified Jotaro's incoming death. "Live." with one last promise, Jotaro urged the girl to crouch down and hide behind the pedestal while he goes out of the hiding room, quickly hiding the door with the bookshelf; It wasn't too heavy that Kisara won't be able to push once things quiet down a little and make her escape.
Tumblr media
"JOTARO, NO!" Joseph fell to his knees in shock, watching his grandson slice the many soldiers away as he kept getting gunned down with pistols, until he slumped to the ground, dead, and in a pool of his own blood.
They all remained quiet, except for the old villain whose maniac laugh resounded boomingly through the whole island. "I KILLED JOTARO! I KILLED JOTARO!" this time, it was Kakyoin who beat up the old fuck.
"You killed who, exactly?" leaning smugly on the door frame, Jotaro smirked down at the perplex old man. "JOTARO!" everyone gasped his name in shock. "You died! We saw you die!" "I was supposed to kill myself, but I didn't - I screwed up the book, so I lived." he huffed, grabbing the old man by the shirt. "Now - How do I get her outta there? Say it now, or I'll beat you until you can't hold your piss and shit anymore, and you'll need a straw to eat." they've never seen Jotaro so angry, so malicious; Though after the tender moments they saw between him and Kisara, it was only understandable. "I- I have no clue! I didn't even think it was possible to escape - I... I'm just as shocked as all of you!" the old man trembled violently with bewilderment. "You told the girl to live - That book is going to continue writing itself until it has no more pages... But I have no clue what happens when there's no more pages left!" "What if she destroys the book?" the old man shrugged, just as unknowledgeable. "You're fucking useless. I'll kill you as soon as she gets outta there."
Jotaro threw the tied up villain roughly onto the ground before sitting in front of the TV - He cringed, hiding his annoyed face. "Don't tell me you saw everything that happened." they nodded quietly. "Of course you fucking did." he had the sudden urge to slam his head into the wall until the bricks shatter, or his head does. "Neither of you did anything to be embarrassed about. Don't worry." with Kakyoin squeezing his shoulder and smiling at him, sitting next to him with some food to share, it almost felt like a blessing from a brother to his sister's boyfriend. "Yare Yare..."
But none of them could stand seeing the little lady shaking and crying with fear from the evilness of the killing outside, or the simple fact that Jotaro had gone to a sure death. She waited and waited until she heard no more noise, only the eerie silence of a graveyard weighting down heavily.
Fearful, she crawled from her hiding spot and pushed aside the large bookshelf, only to see the swiss-cheese like body of her dear friend and crush, her faux husband, laying limp onto the ground. She fell on her knees besides him; Jotaro especially couldn't bare to see it; He reached for the remote to mute the TV, unwilling to hear the wailing of the sobbing girl cradling his body in her arms, getting painted in his blood, all over her face and that pretty kimono of hers. It was gut-wrenching and blood-curling. It was dreadful.
Tumblr media
"JoJo, please, don't die on me! Wake up! Please, wake up. I'm scared, I'm terrified -- I need someone to take care of me; I can't stand being so alone; JoJo. Jotaro, wake up. You can't die. Please..."
The ladies of the Geisha house all gathered around, and seeing the bloodshed, they called the doctors and authorities; They quickly rescued the girl, hiding her away; She was a grief-stricken, hysterical wife who just lost her husband in such a horrible accident; She needed to be protected and brought back home. They cleaned her up and gave her a change of clothes just as glamorous, and offered to take her home; They just needed to know her name, and they knew where to take her, to her mansion; Well, it was supposed to be her family's home, but apparently, they're all dead or abroad, so she's the only one there. Even the servants only seem to appear randomly, out of thin air, but where they were hosted, she had no clue.
She was standing all alone, in front of a huge mansion. "This is gonna be fun." she muttered under her breath, shakily touching the door handle and entering her temporary home. She had to thoroughly investigate it from top to bottom. "Anyone home?" no answer. Of course not. Sighing, she kept her back glued to the wall and slowly and cautiously made her way towards the kitchen to grab a knife. It must have looked so comical for anyone watching, how overly aware she was, with a big ass kitchen knife in her hands, searching from room to room, in every wardrobe, every cupboard, every shelf and drawer even, for any intruder. Hilarious.
When everything was checked, she returned to the kitchen and slumped down on the kitchen chair. "Goodness, this is awful." she sighed, throwing the book on the table. "Stupid book, stupid Stand, stupid everything." she was already losing her mind from the uncertainty of every second. She opened the book and read the re-written story. "Suicide from grief? Hear that. Stupid book." she leaned back in her chair, looking up at the ceiling. "What do I do now? There was no clue... Nothing at all... Except for this." she took out the picture frame from inside her large sleeve pocket; Her fingers gently traced the glass of the picture depicting her and Jotaro on their wedding. "We look kinda cute together. What do you know." she smiled softly. "I hate that paper hat, you can barely see my hair; But he looks so good in traditional clothes. He's so pretty." she cradled the frame dearly to her chest.
Tumblr media
The watchers could only witness Kisara's descend into madness which loneliness and fear caused; From crying through the night, barricading the door of her bedroom with the bookshelf, to cursing that electricity wasn't yet brought to all houses, otherwise, she'd have all lights on in the mansion. She didn't know why no servants were coming over, but it was dubious.  Was she supposed to live like this, until the damn book was done writing itself? She had no clue.
One day, she went by the graveyard; Jotaro's grave was right next to her brother's. How eerie. She couldn't help but wonder if he was able to get out alive and well. "What am I supposed to do?" she asked desperately, hugging her knees to her chest. "I've got no ideas left. I'm going crazy. I'm too dumb for this abstract shit. Just get me out of here already!" she whined pitifully, before falling back on the grass. She looked up at the clouds slowly passing by, and she let the tears fall down her eyes; But she didn't sob anymore. She felt devoid of any reaction. "I'm not living. I'm surviving." she noted. "But how am I supposed to live? I don't freaking get it! I'm too damn stupid for this!" she held the frame to her chest, sighing. "And you just had to leave me all alone to deal with this mess. How selfish." she found comfort only in talking by herself. "There's no pain for those who die, but the living bare the burden of a broken heart for as long as they have left on earth." it's almost as if she was scolding him, through the TV. "If only any of you could give me a sign and show me the way out..."
The kitchen was filled with booze, surprisingly, most of it her favourite type; So what was left during grieving and insanity, but to drink away your sorrows? "Well - I turned 18, didn't I? Even the Gods can't strike me down for my sins." she chuckled, downing a glass of red wine; Her tension was going to go through the roof no doubt, but it was the sweetest drink in the house. "How does one live, anyway? I'm stuck in a house, a hundred years into the past, into a sick story that writes itself." she groaned, balancing idly on the hind legs of the chair. "I've exhausted all options that crossed my mind. To hell with all this - What do I know? Maybe I really am too dumb to get out alive." she scoffed, pouring more wine into her crystal glass. "Cheers to being dumb and alone, left to die in one of the absolute worst times." she got up suddenly, waltzing around the room aimlessly towards the window. "Maybe I should try being a Geisha. Would that count as living?" she hummed softly. "No, I can't do that. I have to start as a Maiko. It takes years to become a Geisha - Stupid me." the window wasn't budging open. "... What the hell is going on?" just yesterday she had the window open; What happened?
With a quick roundcheck, she realised that not only the windows, but the door also weren't opening. How awfully ominous. Was the book coming to an end? Was she going to die soon? "Well then - Even if I'm going to die, the show must go on!" despite the fearful tremble of her heart, Kisara rushed up to her room and changed her appearance completely; Her long hair was curled and with no accessory on it, her make up was done the way she saw Marilyn Monroe, and she put on a form-fitting dress of a light-pink colour. She almost looked like her stand. "Even the dresses are annoying. How can I perform on Broadway when there things are holding me down?" grinning shamelessly, she ripped the sleeves of her dress and made a few cuts where the seaming was most tight. "If I'm going to die, at least I'll die looking like a Broadway Star!"
Rushing back to the dining room she refilled her wine glass a fourth time, and with each song she performed, she had some more wine, to the point she wasn't sure if it was she, twirling, or her vision. From Marilyn Monroe's 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend' to Marlene Dietrich's 'Lili Marlene' and Edith Piaf's most famous 'La vie en rose', Kisara sang her heart out, with the most spectacular smile on her face - A smile that put the flowers to shame, and all the actresses would be jealous of her elegance and beauty. "I wonder if Polnareff would sing French songs with me." she chuckled, throwing the glass with wine into the fireplace, making the flame rage capriciously. "I miss performing with Nori. We were always the best duo. All the theater kids hated us. I wonder how he's doing." her grin was bittersweet, yet incredibly tipsy.
She grabbed the book and quickly threw it in the fire. "I'll burn the book before it can write my ending." she was pretty damn proud of her logic. "HEY, JOJO!" she yelled up at the covered skies from inside her home. "THIS IS YOUR FAVOURITE SONG, ISN'T IT? IT'S PRETTY FITTING FOR AN EMOTIONAL DEATH SCENE IN A TRAGEDY, ISN'T IT?" she chuckled carefree, as she grabbed another wine glass. "I'll go out in style, baby!"
I cry to the alleyway Confess all to the rain But I lie, lie straight to the mirror The one I've broken to match my face
Kisara could feel the temperature rising, yet she wasn't sure if it was the consequence of throwing the book in the roaring fireplace, or simply the physical effort in combination with the vasodilatatory effect of the red wine.
The trash fire is warm But nowhere safe from the storm And I can't bear to see what I've let me be So, wicked and worn
It was getting hotter and hotter, and harder to breath. The end was close, and it was evident from the dark grey smoke beginning to flood the chamber, and everything around.
So, as I write to you, yeah Of what is done and to do, yeah Maybe you'll understand and won't cry for this man 'Cause low man is due
Kisara looked out through the window, and she laughed - It wasn't just the mansion on fire, but the whole world which she could see with her eyes; The story world was being engulfed in flames, and it will turn to ashes along with her. How fitting of an apocalyptic ending, for this shitty script they were forced to play in.
So, low the sky is all I see All I want from you is forgive me So, you bring this poor dog in from the rain Though he just wants right back out again
She could barely keep singing for her lungs were burning; She kept coughing, and her mind was telling her to run the hell away, to save herself - But where? If her Fight-or-Flight reflex wished her to survive, it better give her a good enough idea, otherwise she was content falling to her knees and embracing death through suffocation - Although she thought it a fost wretched death, dying in the blaze of your own home. She looked up at the ceiling, her arms extended laterally and she was grinning and crying, but it wasn't out of fear or anguish, but from the smoke stinging at her eyes. Her make up must be a mess; Too bad it wasn't waterproof. She must look like a trashy racoon.
My eyes seek reality My fingers seek my veins
Was it a song about a homeless deadbeat of a man, or about a suicidal one? No one truly knew, yet the genius of Metallica was never lost on her, and clearly, not on Jotaro either, if he could boldly claim it to be his favourite rock song.  She wished she had the privilege of cutting her wrists and letting her blood fall into ribbons, to end it quicker and painless, just like falling asleep; Alas, her eyes were shutting close by themselves, and she fell to the ground, laying rather comfortably on the wooden floor.
"Please, forgive me." what a fitting end; A whisper left unheard through the deafening roar of the blazing brimstone and flames from the abyss to which the whole world succumbed to.
Tumblr media
Before the TV screen turned to pixels, the Stardust Crusaders were left to watch as the flames seizes the whole display, with only some planks and wooden structure from the mansion shown falling in heaps; No doubt, crushing the young lady under their weight - If she wasn't already charred to hell by now.  The old man, also, was subjected to a most interesting spontaneous combustion following Kisara's reckless book-destroying; And unlike her, he actually got roasted like the squealing pig that he was.
The room was silent, save for the TV static; Somehow, all members of the party were too afraid to go into the dormitory and see how the girl was doing. Was she still alive? Or was she in a coma? The uncertainty was killing them, but a most fatalistic answer terrified them just as much.
"Why is it that wherever the hell I wake up, I'm still alone? What a drag." the sound of a cough and a most hoarse voice snapped everyone out of their trance, and they hurried to the bedroom, where Kisara was holding her head, clearly in pain, based on the weak grimace on her face.
"KISARA!" Kakyoin and Polnareff jumped on the bed at the same time, hugging the hell out of the poor girl whose mind was still dizzy. "Take it easy, you two - She needs some space." Joseph grabbed the two young ones by the back of their neck, pulling them away from her. "It's good to see you again. Take it easy, you've been through enough." "Have I been gone long? It felt like an eternity." the girl was given some fresh water by Avdol, who encouraged her to hydrate herself properly, especially after what happened at the end. "A few hours. Just like a movie - And a shitty one at that." Jotaro's comment, as he leaned on the door frame, made her snap her eyes towards him. He looked in perfect shape, and with that smug smile on his face. "Hold up - How do you know about the fire?" his smirk only widened. "We, uh... We saw the whole movie, thanks to Mr. Joestar's Stand." the look of horror and embarrassed agony on her face greatly resembled that of Jotaro's, when he found that out. "... Maybe I should have just killed myself." her wry smile made her brother embrace her dearly. "I was worried out my mind. Not even the Stand user had any clue how his Stand was supposed to work; We had no idea what to do." he spoke his fears. "Yeah - How'd you know to destroy the book anyway?" Polnareff asked, only to see the girl grin. "I had no clue." she replied emptily. "It's the first time I win a gamble actually. I'm a pretty unlucky person, when it comes to gambling, so I'm surprised I actually won for once. Feels really damn good." The room was silent once again. "Same as me, I guess." Kisara shifted her eyes to Jotaro again. "You, shut up." she glared at him before wobbling out of the bed. "I haven't forgiven you for the shit you pulled-- Or the shit you put me through." "... Sorry?" wrong answer, Jotaro realised, as Kisara snatched his hat and started hitting him with it. "You think 'sorry' is going to absolve you of your sins, you heathen?!" it was hilarious for all watching, the short girl beating up the powerhouse that Jotaro is, with his own hat. "I'm going to kill you with my own two hands!" "Sure. You do that." the boy smiled, letting her flow out all of her frustrations and emotions; She's been through enough as it is. She deserved a break. Not only that, but Kisara was a loving and sensitive person; That damn Stand brought her to the edge of insanity - The loneliness, the guilt, the fear, the uncertainty, and death - All of them creeping onto her constantly, with anyone to comfort her, or even say a good word. It must have been hell.
It didn't take long for her to give up and let out a long exhale. "Okay, I'm too tired. Beat yourself with your hat." she returned the hat, shifting her exhausted gaze outside. "So... The Sun is defeated, right?" "Yes, he combusted spontaneously." Avdol replied somberly. "In theory, there's only High Priestess left, but she's a fearsome opponent. I heard her Stand can bind itself into anything mineral-based." "It's getting late. Kisara, are you fine to travel?" Joseph asked, realising the moon was long since risen on the sky. "Of course. Let us be on our way." she nodded her head in approval.
On their way to the submarine, Kisara hung behind a little, standing between her brother and Jotaro; Neither of them said anything, and when the girl held their hands, they gladly accepted it. Once inside the submarine, they kept their seats the very same way, and made sure no great noise would wake the girl up. She dearly needed the rest - And what better place to sleep, but between her two dearest people?

rin i need youre thoughts on roommate & uni!ellie (but who hasn’t fully come to terms that she likes reader yet) coming home from a tiring day full of lectures but hearing you talking about your most recent date (could make it abby for angst) whilst on the phone to your friend in the privacy of your own room, your door ajar which allows Ellie the sight of you and your flushed cheeks, not knowing why hearing how excited you sound and look whilst talking about someone who isn’t her delivers a ugly pang of jealousy straight to her heart
then you notice a severe lack of Ellie in your life for the next couple of days, you wonder if maybe she’s giving you the cold shoulder for accidentally leaving out your dishes again or leaving dirty laundry or something silly like that that roommates would get annoyed at each other for, until it gets to the point where reader looks everywhere around campus for Ellie, even to the point where reader has to knock onto Ellie’s other friends, Dina and Jessie’s, dormitory to ask if they knew where Ellie is but all you’re is met with is two slightly sympathetic stares and different versions of “I don’t know, sorry! Good luck.” and then a door being slammed in your face with hushed whispers arguing behind it.
But after a long day of looking, you can’t find Ellie anyway, so you retreat back home to her and Ellie’s shared apartment which feels deafly quiet with the lack of Ellie, but then to find a white letter on the counter Island which looks disheveled
and it’s a letter from Ellie explaining that she’s going to travel for a couple of months, ( like a travel year, but only for a couple of months ) with barely any explanation or without any idea of when exactly she’ll be back from travelling
also i love u rin u’re such a cutie
OH MY GODDDD?? HELLO?? IM ON MY KNEES??
pining ellie will always do it for me. her staring a little too long, smiling a little too hard when you say something, feeling her stomach turn in her stomach at the thought of you with someone else. yea itll just always hit.
and ellie leaving GOD GOD GODDDDD. ur crazy for this . how confused reader would be, the time going by so slowly but she also uses that time to sort of piece together why she left ohh yea
and Ily more ur even cuter

Right? Especially because Martin specifically describes him as not handsome but even before I read a description of what he looked like, I was like, I bet this dude is hot. I don't care what Martin says, Cotter Pyke is hot in my mind. Like, people may not like the Iron Islanders for plenty of good reasons, but don't be acting like they don't have swagger. These people fuck and they KNOW how hot they are.
my favorite thing about martin is how he tries so hard to convince you that so many guys are so hideous and ugly bc ~beauty standards but as a knower of the truth, nah mate they’re hotties. especially iron islanders.
and tbh in this whole world of like egregiously bad and evil no good people, those that act like the ironborn are uniquely the worst are just boring. like if ur gonna be evil and insane in an evil and insane society at least be a sexy pirate about it. contrary to what hbo would have u believe, they are in fact the hottest in westeros

my thoughts on TOTK because i need to ramble about it somewhere and my friend hasn't finished it yet
SPOILERS
i'm gonna go through the main quests/parts as i completed them
1) the opening, Great Sky Island, Temple of Time and landing in Hyrule
it made me really really really happy to see that Link and Zelda were still around each other like this, exploring stuff together and all. the awakening cutscene gave me chills and really all i could think about was finding Zelda.
discovering the Great Sky Island was fun, though i was used to my comfort in BOTW so it was quite a shock to not have the paraglider and get one-shot by literally anything. but i guess that's normal
then i really liked meeting Rauru though i missed having at least a clue of what was going on. like in BOTW, the king tells you "alright, the world is shit because this happened, Zelda is over there waiting for you, now u do u". there i had this feeling of being absolutely clueless for the first few hours of gameplay and it was frustrating at times.
Lookout Landing was a heartwarming sight, seeing people rebuild and stuff genuinely made me smile. i did feel a pinch in my heart when i recognized that it was built on the very ground where Link swore his oath as Zelda's appointed knight. but overall it was great and i loved the concept of the new towers.
2) the Temples and Sages
i started with Rito Village and the Wind temple. i love Tulin with all my heart and i have to say i use his ability the most. the temple was a pain to access and the cold was annoying but i had a blast with the boss battle. didn't really use Tulin's help there because it was really easy to do on my own but i enjoyed having a supporter during the fight.
i was favorably surprised when i found out that Tulin's clone would accompany me forever. BOTW was a pretty lonely game. peaceful and beautiful but lonely nonetheless. also seeing Teba give his son the Great Eagle Bow made me emotional i admit. i wish there were more references to Revali (and the Champions in general) but eh at least he has a Landing named after him. also where did the Flight Range go?
next i went to Goron City. it felt strange to not instantly catch on fire but well, i was happy with no more elixirs and ugly outfits (not a fan of the fireproof set). the battle against the 3 headed monster in Death Mountain was awesome and it reminded me of how fun it was to yeet Yunobo around. speaking of which i was so relieved when i got him back to normal because that rock boi is precious and seeing him being mean was not cool.
the Temple was a bit annoying tbh, i got lost in the rail system so i just went and monkeyed around climbing everything and flying everywhere. the boss fight was also quite forgettable though i liked using Yunobo's ability more. again, there was zero mention of Daruk (that i remember) and Daruk's Protection has been entirely forgotten. i know the goal isn't to live in the past but i find it sad to see it pretty much forgotten about in some areas.
after that i went to Zora's Domain and had fun yeeting splash fruit at the sludge. i almost had a heart attack when i saw that the Mipha statue had been replaced but i was so thrilled to see it relocated to where the Lynel used to be. they really built her a splendid memorial and she can really watch over her people from there.
i had missed Sidon and his smile, and helping Yona bringing him back to his true optimistic charming self was really great. i liked that since the Zora live long lives, everyone remembered me (Link) more than in other parts of Hyrule. oh and Sidon's coronation had me smiling ear to ear because i was so proud of my fish brother.
i had so much fun in the temple and its weird gravity, sometimes i go back just to jump around and dive in slow motion. the boss fight was correct, though it was annoying to go so slow through sludge.
finally, i made my way to Gerudo Town. the gibdos surprised me but by pure luck i had a fire lizalfos horn weapon equipped so i was never in any real danger. i loved organizing the defenses of Gerudo Town and fighting alongside Riju's warriors.
i loved seeing how Riju had grown since we last saw her, she and Tulin were like my young niblings and seeing them grow made me so proud. again i don't remember any tribute to Urbosa but seeing Riju's dual Scimitars of the Seven was a nice touch so i didn't say anything.
the temple was really cool and the boss fight made me rage quit once or twice so i consider it to be awesome. i thought i was gonna throw my Switch against the wall but then i remembered Zelda needed me so i took a breath and went back to the fight.
overall i really liked this part of the game, seeing my old new friends was very heartwarming and having their clones follow me in my daily life made the game so much less lonely than BOTW was.
3) Tears of the Dragon
no. i am still sobbing, throwing up, rolling on the floor. no. seeing Zelda finding not one but 2 loving parental figures only to lose them 20 min later, Ganondorf's ascension, Rauru's sacrifice, ZELDA'S SACRIFICE ABZBZBFKGNDKDLS I WAS NOT READY. i didn't find the memories in chronological order so when i found the one that hinted what was going to happen to Zelda i rushed them all and stayed up until like 4 am to see them all. the final one tore me apart and i basically cried myself to sleep (not really but almost). i actually had to go spoil myself online just to put my mind at ease because like what if we could never get her back???
after that and the Master Sword quest, whenever i saw Zelda not too far from a tower i'd go see her and rest on her head for a little while while imagining Link talking to her.
i was at a point where i didn't really know what to do with myself, i still had Gerudo Town to visit but eh i was a bit sick of boss battles at the moment. seeing the memories remotivated me and pushed me to finish the main quests as fast as possible to get Zelda back.
4) the Master Sword
as eager as i was to just go and beat up Ganondorf, i couldn't imagine doing it without my trursty blade, and also the reason why Zelda sacrificed herself. so i decided to go see the Great Deku Tree so seek counsel. after a quick in and out trip to the depth, i found a dying tree in no shape to answer my questions.
Phantom Ganon handed my ass to me a few times but once i got his attack patterns right, it all went smooth like a baby's butt cheek.
getting the Master Sword from Zelda's head made me so emotional, i had just seen a fanart of that scene where Link let himself fall while crying and clutching the sword against his heart. that was how i felt it really.
5) the Depths and Fifth Sage
so after crying my eyes, heart, lungs and intestines out, i had to continue investigating to know where the hell Ganondorf was. that led me to the Depth, searching for all the abandonned mines and everything. on the way i had fun in the battles against Kohga, i had missed his ridiculous... him.
i'm not the biggest fan of the Depths but hey, you can find pretty awesome stuff down there so i do spend a lot of time farming Zonaite and throwing Brightbloom seeds around.
finding and assembling Mineru's construct felt a bit ehh. the shrine like puzzles to get the limbs were thankfully not too long but really all i wanted was to get over with it. funny enough i was fully prepared for a big twist like Mineru revealing that she was with Ganondorf and having to fight the construct i had just built myself.
what i got was even better. like mech fight??? hello?? that was awesome though it took me some time to get the controls down. but ah as a kid who grew up playing Solatorobo, riding the construct was just cbfkdkd SO COOL.
6) the Final Fight
i'll just focus on the battles because the way to get to the Gloom's Lair or whatever was just like yeah sure go off i guess. chasing Zelda through the Castle was just a delay of what i knew would happen underground and then i mostly dodged the monsters except the Lynel because come on who has time for that.
the. EPIC. BATTLE. AGAINST. AN ENTIRE. ARMY. my Goddess fighting hordes and hordes of monsters alongside my friends with the most epic music was just so euphoric and cathartic and just fullfilling ahhhhgg. when i saw the temple bossed coming back to life i was gully prepared to take them on with my friends but nope, the game had other plans for me.
and what plans oh bloody hell this FIGHT? THAT is what i call a boss battle. in BOTW, Ganon wasn't hard to kill. like it had taken me less than 5 tries i think, 3 of them being just to learn the fight's mechanics. but here? the first part i got quickly, after all it was just a one on one against a (large) human sized villain. the pace was slow, there was no music, in a word : a warmup.
then he activates his secret stone and turns into a human emo LED. alright sure. and then his health bar replenishes. AND KEEPS GOING. i was expecting it to just go beyond the screen border at this point. and oh the clones, how many times did i accidentally get killed by one of them. having my friends fight them for me was cool but too many times i ended up ignoring them and taking a lost bullet becayse of that.
then comes the real 1v1 againt the Demon King. THAT was the fight i'd been waiting for. the final confrontation between the Hero and Evil, the final battle that would- he can Flurry Rush? what do you mean he can Flurry Rush?? alright then, i'll just be careful, good thing i have a good shield haha HE CAN FLURRY RUSH MY FLURRY RUSH?????? HOW WHAT WHY WTF ah at least i can Flurry Rush his Flurry Rush that he Flurry Rushed from my Flurry Rush. McFlurry.
after at least 20 tries, tears and a break because my left index was sore from keeping my shield up, i finally got to deal a final strike. and then oh my GODDESS THIS PART
Zelda rushes to my aid and together we face that giant Demon Dragon. she soars, allowing me to dive and land right next to one of the Demon's weak point. i attack it, then bet blown off. Zelda gets me back and we repeat the maneuver 3 times. finally, i dive one last time to the Demon's head and shatter the Secret Stone.
no more Demon, no more Ganondorf, it really is over this time.
7) the End
is it? the sky is peaceful, as i, behind my screen, thank the princess for her help and tell her that we succeded, i start floating off of her head. Rauru and Sonia appear and somehow channel their magic through my arm.
and there she is. my princess. my Zelda. the one i travelled through Sky, Land and Depth to find. the one i've been chasing for (in game) months (days irl).
and she's falling. shit. so i dive as fast as i can, i extend my freshly restored arm and.... i got her! a perfect echo to the opening, an exquisite parallel, i took so many screenshots of this scene and i will cherish them forever.
then i watched the last cutscenes, my Zelink heart that was already screaming exploded when i saw Link gently put Zelda down on the grass. she wakes up, sees Link, looks around and... "you really did it" no princess, we did it together. "Oh Link... i'm home" AAAAAHAHBBFNDKDBBF I SCREAMED i really screamed and thank the Goddess that i live alone because it was again 4am and had i been at my parent's place, Zelda's smile would have been the last thing i'd seen before certain death (not that i would have minded). i wish i could hug my princess in that moment. yes, you're home. i promised i'd get you back when i saw your memories so here you are. and you're never leaving me again.
end credits, i use that time to process what i just lived. then i watch the post credit cutscene, shed a tear watching Mineru rest in peace and the new Sages swear their oath. everything's good now.
and then i'm transported back to Castle Chasm. yay.
Additional 1) the Gameplay
as an engineering student, i had been waiting for this game for so long (only could play it a month after release because of finals) and it didn't disappoint. well to be honest i was used to BOTW's controls and though they were similar here, i missed using the cross' top arrow to pick a rune. minor stuff like that. BUT WHO CARE WHEN YOU CAN BUILD CARS, PLANES, ROCKETS AND TORTURE DEVICES
i fully started enjoying vehicle building when i expanded my battery. from then on i was unstoppable, roaming around Hyrule on my Turbo Deadly Flying Tricycle that shoots fire and laser beams.
also i'm a pretty peaceful being but i have to admit that nailing a Korok to a cross and pulling it around with your horse like "do you have time for our Lord and Savior Korok Christ?" is really really fun.
Additional 2) the World
also i loved the additions they made to the stables like the Pony Points system. and ah finally i don't have to talk to this random girl to change my saddle.
i'm a sucker for fantasy sky island so i was so happy to see some in Hyrule sky. though i wish there were a bit more or at least some bigger ones. Great Sky Island was nice but then in other regions, aside from a shrine here and a dispenser there i didn't spend a lot of time up tthere.
Hyrule was at the same time the good old same and a totally new and foreign place. cities and villages were in the same place but they were so different. Tarrey Town had grown so much (btw fuck you Rail Car guy i built this place you should pay ME). Kakariko had its new Ring Ruins, Hateno had developped a mushroom frenzy... AND ZELDA HAS STOLEN MY HOUSE??? HAY PRINCESS YOU HAVE A CASTLE AT LEAST LET ME HAVE THIS oh? is that my hair tie? and... you're writing about me in your diary? oh so we live together... alright then all good! also seeing the photo from Champion's Ballad exactly where i hung it in BOTW brought a tear to my eye. no, our omd friends aren't forgotten. and they will always be home.
i'll stop there because i'm hungry and i've been rambling for an hour and a half but this game is just so so so good. the story touched me a bit less than that of BOTW for some reason but it did make me emotional af. i wish we had a postgame which solely consists of completing the secondary adventures and like... farming in Hateno Village with Zelda but eh, be grateful for what you have i told myself. i think i will go have a cutscene marathon starting with Age of Calamity now.
Additional 3) the Side Quests
while i ignored most of them (will get to them eventually no worry about that), i particularly appreciated the Monster Control ones and the Lurelin line. these quests really made me feel how important community and cooperation are in this game. because you have your own community of heroes with the Sages and also the researchers, people who are in the heart of the story but there you get to see other communities. the losers with a valiant heart, fighting silver moblins with mops and buckets as helmets, the exiled fishermen who lost their town but with your help get to rebuild their home etc. this makes this game whole because it reminds you that yeah, there are always epic tales of legendary heroes, dramatic tragedies and heroic sacrifices but there are also smaller, equally as important stories. there's the story of how anyone can rise up and fight monsters and there's the story of how to rebuild your home after it was totally destroyed. and you get to be a part of all these stories, big or small. and that's beautiful.
also i liked stealing Zelda's horse again. you took my house i take your horse, fair is fair.
