"So you actually aren't coming?" Ryan asked her long term girlfriend Paige. "I can't make it mama, i'm so sorry" Paige was grateful that the two weren't on facetime. She was trying so hard to not tell the truth. Paige wasn't the best at lying, but she really wanted to give Ryan this special gift.

Ryan and Paige have been dating for over a little of four years. The two met while they were both at Overtime headquarters. After their first time talking they were inseparable. They had agreed to make long distance work and hope that one day their lives would settle, so they could move in together and start their lives.

Since basketball season has started they have barely seen each other since they were on different schedules. The last time they saw each other was when Ryan flew to Storrs for their game against Maryland. But that was back in November, it is now February.

Ryan had missed her girlfriend so much. It was beginning to hit her hard. All she wanted was to see her especially on her big day. "Are you at least going to watch?" Ryan sighed walking into the locker room. "I'm going out with the team tonight, but if it is on somewhere you know I will" Paige spoke trying to not break her heart more.

"I love you" Before Paige could respond Ryan hung up the call. Paige knew she was upset, but really hoped that this would work. She hated when her baby was unhappy. Paige was currently on her flight to Texas texting Ryan's sister about how much she hated hurting her.

Of course Paige couldn't do this big surprise by herself, so she allowed for KK and Auzi to come with her. Ryan loved the two girls, so it would be great for her to see them too.

Ryan slipped on her bose headphones and changed into her warm ups. "Ryan you okay?" Jordana asked her. Jordana Codio was her best friend on the team. "I'm good" Ryan smiled, but it never reached her eyes.

It was officially time for senior night to begin. Ryan met up in the tunnel with her mom and her sister. Ryan was an a very emotional person, so she immediatly began crying. "Stop crying crazy, nothing has happened yet" Her sister laughed giving her a hug"

Ryan began walking wiping her tears off her face and smiling as the crowd cheered. Finally being able to clear her eyesight, what she didn't expect to see was her girlfriend standing beside her head coach.

She stopped in her tracks with her hand over her mouth. Paige laughed walking up to her giving her a tight hug as Ryan broke down into tears. The love stricken crowd began to "aw". "Stop crying mama" Paige spoke wiping Ryan's tears off her face. "I want to kiss you so bad right now" She spoke quietly releasing her from the hug and holding her hand.

Coach Schaefer walked over to Ryan hugging her and giving her the microphone. "This is so awkward. Um, I just want to thank Coach S and all the rest of my amazing coaches for helping me improve throughout these four years. I have loved playing for this team. A huge thank you goes out to my mom, sister, and paige for helping me through all of the mental and physical breakdowns. I love you guys so much and I am not a cute crier, so I'm going to stop talking now" Ryan laughed hugging her coach again.

The crowd busted out into cheers and claps. "I am so proud of you" Her mom told her wiping her tears. "Thank you mommy" Ryan walked off the court hand in hand with her girlfriend. "You made me cry meanie" Ryan smiled nudging her girlfriend. "I'm sorry baby, but I wanted to surprise you on your big day" Paige pulled the girl into a hug placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Go win" Paige told her smiling at her.

Right after the last buzzer Ryan ran right over to her girlfriend engulfing her into a hug. Ryan wrapped her legs around Paige's waist and secretly kissed the side of her neck. "You did so good mama" Paige smiled rocking the two side to side.

"Don't leave! I'm going to go take a quick shower and then I'll meet you out here" Ryan jumped off of her. Looking around making sure the coast is clear. She threw her hands around her neck kissing Paige's soft lips. "I love you" Paige spoke between kisses rubbing her hands up and down Ryan's back.

"don't go anywhere okay?"

"i'm not going anywhere" Ryan walked off smiling and throwing her arm around Jordana's shoulder. Paige watched the now overjoyed girl skip off to the locker room.

She really did find her person.

Fake dating Laura/max…, genius!

aaaaaa thank you! It was a fun lil idea I'm still toying with, but if anyone wants to use it they are welcome, it's something a lil silly but fun with a side of angst.

So the idea is that Laura and Max break up after a few years of long distance (I'd say bc Max wants her to focus on her studies instead of him but idk) but then after like maybe a year they get an invite to Dylan and Ryan's wedding (yes they are getting married to get everyone back together to party and for the tax benefits.)

The twist is no one knows that Laura and Max broke up because neither had the heart to tell the others. It would be a lil fic about rekindling love through pretending to still be together and I thought it was a fun idea to toy with. (I LOVE pining sm and just the idea of 'we broke up but I'm still totally and utterly in love with them' gives me LIIIIIIIIFE)

You looked carefully at everything.

"She- she acts like a puppy. Never goes out of reach, but explores everything."

"Probably, because she's never been here before." Alex pats her sisters shoulder gently.

"Yeah." Kara huffed, resting her hands on her hips. Alex walked around the kitchen counter and joined her mom with the spaghetti sauce.

You sat on the ground playing with some of the toys you had found in the attic, now had them set up in the room you were staying in, when Kara walked down the hall, stopping after hearing you talking to yourself saying,

"You should totally go out with Ken, barbie." there was some clutter before she heard you continue in a deeper voice. "I am totally asking Barbie." And a slightly different voice answered. "Barbie is totally not good for you Kenny boy. She's good for me. I'm way more hotter than you." Kara scrunched her nose not sure what you were playing, but walked in, a smile on her face.

"Emma, what are you up too?" You turned to look at her.

"I'm playing Barbie life in the dream house, and Ken and Barbie are about to go on a date and Ryan is trying to sabotage-" Kara was laughing and you furrowed your brow, also frowning at her.

"This is serious. Ryan," You picked up the Ryan doll and showed it to her. "is going to try and take Barbie from Ken. And then Raquel..." You sighed and leaned forward, then crashing into the ground, now laying on the rough carpet of the cozy room. "When's dinner?"

"Dinner?"

"Yes, dinner? Or do you call it supper?" You waited a beat and before Kara could say anything you blurted out yoyr newest question, "What does Supper even mean? Kara, what does it mean??"

"Oh, no, no. We call it dinner, yes, it should be ready soon! I don't know what it means." You stood up and walked by her down the hall, in search of Alex and Eliza. Kara stayed in the your room trying to clean up your mess, that was the toys scattered everywhere.

"Alex...?" You asked out into the house, walking around looking at random things.

"Emma?" Her voice was loud in your ear, but you could tell it was from across the house. You then walked towards her and bumped back into Kara on your way.

"Oh hi Emma!" Kara greeted you from the ground, she sat on her knees, putting some toy cars back in the bin. You look down at her and smile weakly saying Hi back. Suddenly tripping over the "Barbie: Dream House" house and laying right on my face. The pain rushed mainly from your nose and straight into the tears that were soon to follow, with a loud crashing noise right behind it. You just stayed right where your fall had taken you. Meanwhile, Kara was being a bit more proactive and came to your aid. She pulled you up from where you laid, and looked you over.

"Emma? Are you okay?" You could barely hear her, a few tears had dropped from your face, and your bottom lip was trembling. You couldn't hold your cries back much longer, at the moment just letting a few whimpers go.

Alex and Eliza had been cooking dinner together and heard the crash, both quickly coming to where the loud noise had come from. Panic spread on the mother and daughter's faces as they ran into the room. By that time, you were sitting up crying your heart out.

"What happened?" Eliza asked before Alex could even get a breath in. Kara started to stand to explain how you had tripped, but you pulled her back down and clung onto her, wailing into her front. She immediately tried to comfort you.

"She tripped over the Barbie house!!" Kara had to shout, while she rubbed your back and shushed you slowly. Alex went to get the first aid, noticing the blood slowly dripping down you leg, and Eliza went on back to check dinner.

"Emma, can I clean your leg?" Alex gently asked you, then going to touch my shin that had a long cut from some sharp edge of the Barbie Dream House. I wiped my snotty nose and leaned my head back on Kara's shoulder as she did. The blood on my shin, threatening to stain my sock, when Alex wiped it off in one clean swoop. Kara's hand smoothy went up and down my shoulder.

"I'm sorry" You mumbled to anyone that was listening, which was both of the sisters in the room, each of them going to say it happens and all they care about is that your alright now. Which lightened your spirits.

"We can get you a bandage and then dinner!" Alex cheered, hoped to get you excited. You nodded and walked down the hall holding your stuffed animal from your bed, being lead by Alex into the Kitchen. Kara was quick to follow, wanting to eat dinner.

"So what exactly is growing in the garden?" Kara asked her adoptive mom, Eliza. You however were zoned out slowly moving your noodles around the plate it sat on. Thinking about how you were going to ask for a cookie and then moved to what Alex and Kara were talking about, to why the noodles are so hot, to how come everyone else gets wine glasses while you got a cup of milk, then went off thinking about how cows could have gotten from krypton to earth.

Eliza explained to everyone at the table what plants were growing outside. They were all obsolete to you, there plants, not something that seemed so useful to you. Alex glanced over at you noticing you hadn't touched your food much more than the first few bites she saw you take. Her warm hand reached over slowly, and sat onto of yours. You jerked your head up, making your silverware hit the table and silence fell. Kara and Eliza both noticed a moment was happening and Eliza just went off again with Kara. Letting Alex and you continue.

Alex gave me a smile as a question and you answered with my your own small smile, then going to grab your fork and start the meal again.

"It's nothing."

"I don't think it's nothing."

"Everyone zones out from time to time, Alex." Eliza explained to her daughter.

"I think she is just still adjusting. It took Kara almost 2 years to adjust." Kara scrunched her nose at the comment.

"By 2 years I was an earth expert, by the way." Kara scoffed, crossing her arms. Eliza pursed her lips and continued, "Kara, Alex, she's adjusting, and so if that means zoning out, so be it. She's probably thinking about things she hears and just needs more time to think about it."

Alex took this answer as a good substitute for what was chewing at the back of her mind.

"Hey Alex?" She looked over my scrunched up face. "Why is krypton so far away?" Alex is just as confused as I am, and questions me further.

"Well, I just wish I didn't have to live so far away from home." Alex came over and stood near me, lower her voice, into a softer tone.

"I know you feel like your far from home, but me and Kara and Eliza are always going to be here for you-"

"What does Kara think of me?" You cut in, and then quickly leaned back in a panic and give a small apology for cutting her off.

‘vibe’ by 1TEAM. so remember when i said i was done with boy groups...well have you heard of 1TEAM. these boys are seriously the cutest, just look at them! and i love the vibe of this title track (pun intended). seriously it’s a jam and i would 10 out of 10 recommend listening to the b-side tracks as well! i appreciate that all the tracks have their own unique style, ‘countdown’ goes hard and is a great juxtaposition to the title track. i will definitely be keeping a eye out for these boys. (also they are very active on instagram and i appreciate that!)

take off - the 1st mini album by wayV. finally the comeback we all deserve. this shall have it’s own post because seriously it deserves its own post. i am still processing the music video. like seriously as a winwin stan i have a lot to process. all the tracks are perfection! ‘let me love u’ makes me weep with all their sweet vocals. ‘say it’ honestly terrified me with the first 5 seconds reminding me of some slytherin ring tone. it’s such a great track! its dynamic and that build of the track, it’s great and that ‘oh na na na’. 11 out of 10 would recommend the album and the mv!

WE ARE SUPERHUMAN - the 4th mini album by NCT127. so NCT has been ruling my time and energy ever since i had the opportunity to see them live (let’s be real they ruled my time prior hahaha). ‘highway to heaven’ is my jam and ill be that person to say it can rule as a title track. i loved the music video it’s simple, classic, and a vibe. i love these boys and every single song on the EP is a bop! i love these talented men, and seriously they never disappoint. i just have one question, do they have time to sleep?!?! like seriously, they’ve released the EP, have completed comeback stages, concerts, traveled north america. like what the even?! they deserve some sleep after all they have served us over the past two months!

i’m the one by MXM. i have no idea where i first heard this song! but it is seriously a bop and i am obsessed with this track. it is light, fresh, and everything you need in a summer jam.

her private life OSTs. seriously these tracks have been on repeat. thanks to this drama i was introduced to IN2IT again, and i have had ‘it’s u’ on repeat. also introduced to ONE, and ‘heyahe’ is a vibe. it was so unexpected to see that he was a rapper, to be honest i would have pegged him for a vocalist with his sweet face. ‘smile again’ by RUNY. like dang this is a bop and jam, i love listening to it just chilling at home cleaning. it’s great! ‘maybe’ by lee hae ri makes me weep, but in a good way. it’s just iconic and her vocals are beautiful. 

dramas & movies. *spoilers alert*

a werewolf boy. this was a rewatch with my friends. we were struggling to pick a movie to watch and we decided upon this classic. everyone really enjoyed it, and i am glad they were able to see park bo-young as a young actress, because they just finished watching ‘strong woman do bong soon’.

swing kids. this one i watched while on a plane ride! it is seriously not what i expected, it was a historical film that took place in a pow camp. it was a lot to process, and probably wasn't a great idea to watch on a plane with hundred other people, because i ended up weeping like a baby. but all is well and the film was incredible. i wanted a happy ending but about five minutes in i realized whatever was coming my way was probably going to be at best bittersweet. i would recommend watching this one, it was a spectacular film that touched upon various issues, and hardships that many people faced at the end of the war. kyungsoo is the reason i have been keeping an out for this film, but it was an incredible film in it’s own right, and i’m not just saying that because my bias of EXO was a part of the film. the cast as a whole did a wonderful job conveying the struggles and emotions felt. i would 10 out of 10 recommend.

side note: i just heard word that our boy kyungsoo will be off for military enlistment in july. what a great way to end the month, thank you to sm for the super last minute notification. it’s fine no emotional breakdowns were had here TT. i just hope that he stays healthy and does his best. i will be patiently awaiting his return. 

her private life. this one. y’all this drama. seriously insert *slow clap and standing ovation*. i loved everything about this drama our main leads stayed my existance with their story. our boy ONE burst out a new bias and someone who needs to release more music, like please and thank you (still waiting for a random OST to appear). i love me a classic drama with flashbacks to childhood, and friendships that are unexpected. i loved how he found her fan-girl side endearing, and i desperately need that in my life. and hello, ryan gold is extremely dreamy and we all need a ‘lion’ in our life, am i right?! i would recommend it 9.5 out of 10!

my only complaint is that i wish that shi-an found out that deok-mi was his fansite. that would have been the most precious moment of the whole show i can guarantee that!

he is psychometric. of course i had to watch this one, our jin-young made his official male lead debut. it was really good, and kinda dark, lots of mystery. i appreciate a good drama that ties in long lost childhood memories, that reconnect our otp. it was pretty great, and i did not expect his hyung to have committed the horrible act that he did. very unexpected and wrecked my heart because *heart eyes* and i wanted him to be a good guy. i would recommend it 8 out of 10. 

radio romance. this was a super cute one, and a kind of ‘oh i have no other dramas to watch since i am watching all live dramas’ kind of pick. but oh how thankful i am to have stumbled upon this gem. the main actor was also in ‘splash splash’ love and i am falling more in love with him like seriously. i appreciated the flash backs as always a classic, they knew each other as children story. i love how she really became an oasis for him to get to know himself and grow as an individual to find his own voice. it was a good one, i would recommend it for a cute drama! and all the pretty bows are at the end, even the second female leads gets her boo! i would give it an 8 out of 10.

i hate you juliet. watched this one on a whim because it was on the viki discover page, but i actually don’t recall much from it sadly. the episodes were short, and if it had been longer i don’t know if i would have finished it. super predictable but i don’t know how the main leads ended up together i was totally team joon mo.

love o2o. another chinese drama, who am i? this is seriously a great drama, and i loved the concept of her being a gamer, and how they met in that avenue before ever meeting in real life. they were super cute, and he is super attractive. of course they encounter all the hardships that a major-rich-hot-senior in college-entrepreneur  would encounter when in a relationship with the cute-poorish-girl from a small city. but it was great, a lot predictable, but everything you want for a cute summer rom-com drama. i would 8 out of 10 recommend.
