if anyones been thinking "wow nyx, youre 14 hours into this handsewing and youre still not done?" heres 1 minute of real time sewing the binding. this coutil is hard to get through :(

#not pictured: the times i have stabbed myself (many. the needle has started going backwards into my finger)#my hands r pretty tired now. skin is overworked & had a couple muscle spasms but im getting there!!!! made it to the last set of tabs #... i do still have the back of the top edge to do though :/#sewing #lady stede build #hand sewing #18th century fashion #also you can probably see my fucked up joints a bit as my finger literally buckles to try & push it through #the left hand finger hook though is SO smooth i love that. way less extension on my sewing arm :)#this is a segment of uh. 9ish minutes? i think i recorded?#i made it all the way around the top so i mean. time per stitch varies
