I spent the last 11 months working with my illustrator, Marta, to make the children's book of my dreams. We were able to get every detail just the way I wanted, and I'm very happy with the final result. She is the best person I have ever worked with, and I mean, just look at those colors!

I wanted to tell that story of anyone's who ever felt that they didn't belong anywhere. Whether you are a nerd, autistic, queer, trans, a furry, or some combination of the above, it makes for a sad and difficult life. This isn't just my story. This is our story.

I also want to say the month following the book's launch has been very stressful. I have never done this kind of book before, and I didn't know how to get the word out about it. I do have a small publishing business and a full-time job, so I figured let's put my some money into advertising this time. Indie writers will tell you great success stories they've had using Facebook ads, so I started a page and boosting my posts.

Within a first few days, I got a lot of likes and shares and even a few people who requested the book and left great reviews for me. There were also people memeing on how the boy turns into a delicious venison steak at the end of the book. It was all in good fun, though. It honestly made made laugh. Things were great, so I made more posts and increased spending.

But somehow, someway these new posts ended up on the wrong side of the platform. Soon, we saw claims of how the book was perpetuating mental illness, of how this book goes against all of basic biology and logic, and how the lgbtq agenda was corrupting our kids.

This brought out even more people to support the book, so I just let them at it and enjoyed my time reading comments after work. A few days later, then conversation moved from politics to encouraging bullying, accusing others of abusing children, and a competition to who could post the most cruel image. They were just comments, however, and after all, people were still supporting the book.

But then the trolls started organizing. Over night, I got hit with 3 one-star reviews on Amazon. My heart stopped. If your book ever falls below a certain rating, it can be removed, and blocked, and you can receive a strike on your publishing account. All that hard work was about to be deleted, and it was all my fault for posting it in the wrong place.

I panicked, pulled all my posts, and went into hiding, hoping things would die down. I reported the reviews and so did many others, but here's the thing you might have noticed across platforms like Google and Amazon. There are community guidelines that I referenced in my email, but unless people are doing something highly illegal, things are rarely ever taken down on these massive platforms. So those reviews are still there to this day. Once again, it's my fault, and I should have seen it coming.

Luckily, the harassment stopped, and the book is doing better now, at least in the US. The overall rating is still rickety in Europe, Canada, and Australia, so any reviews there help me out quite a lot. I'm currently looking for a new home to post about the book and talk about everything that went into it. I also love to talk about all things books if you ever want to chat. Maybe I'll post a selfie one day, too. Otherwise, the book is still on Amazon, and the full story and illustrations are on YouTube as well if you want to read it for free.

Hello friends. Okay, I spent some time offline, and did speak in length to a dear friend in England today. I think I understand a few things more. Firstly... there are no rules. And this is my timeline, and I get to change it as I see fit. When I first came to Tumblr it was for one purpose, I kid you not. I knew that Meghan Markle was in her supposed first pregnancy... and I knew it was a lie. I have carried a baby, I know how it works, and she was in my opinion lying. This timeframe coincided with my recent awakening of world events and falling down other rabbit holes.

I was gung-ho on both. And I must say, the world events thing did not serve me well on social media. I have never found it beneficial to argue with others about things we do not agree with. And so a few months into my profile building here on Tumblr and connecting I set my own rules on what it is I am here for. And trust me... the people I have connected with mean so much to me. Now then... I do follow some who I only give out likes to and more private conversations. You know who you are. So for the record I am going to be clear of who I am.

I served under Ronald Reagan while in the Navy. I was always more on the conservative side, although I used to joke that as a Californian, I was sitting on the wall in between and fell over to the right. I used to think a lot of liberal policies sounded good on paper, but that in reality they did not work very well. That has been proven to be true in my estimation. But let me be clear. I do not think the Republican view as it stands today is working out either in a bulk of cases, especially in Washington D.C. Our government is seriously compromised within both parties, and I am also speaking of all branches. Neither party is what it once was, and if you are not aware of what the Global agenda is for the common person I cannot help you. And it is not my place in life to even attempt it. We all journey as we do.

I then found my feet here. My goals were to talk of things I am interested in, loved all my life, and to find some fun in my days. When I stick to that... I thrive. But I am finding that as many more are awakening to the fact that our world is slipping away... we are all talking more. And the planned divisiveness is impacting all of us.

It is going to get worse. No matter what your stand is. And I completely believe this summer is going to get rough in the US. Very rough.

So what did I decide? Well... I want to be here. If I drift off, which was surprisingly easy this week, I do not get to enjoy dishing on all things royal, art, history, travel, spiritual life, pets, and the love I have for friends I have made here.

I may veer off to world events. I am no longer affiliated with any political party. I do not believe there are many in places of power who have our best interests at heart. When the WEF says that population control is a main agenda, I believe them. I have done my studying and digging... and I understand. History is repeating itself, but there is no one who will be landing on a shore in Normandy to save our world any longer.

I am not going to try to influence a single soul here. Nope. I just want to vent a bit on how dumb and ridiculous Harry is, how narcissistic I find Meghan, how much I admire Anne, and my hopes for Catherine's full recovery. I also want to read your posts on cute furry creatures, other lands and travels, inward journeys, art, and whatever else it is in life the day brings. But I admit that I may slip, and I go off on a world event. I apologize for it now. Just scroll on by if you would.

I had a tough time since last summer. I did. But that is what life can bring. And hopefully we grow. And in the end it will be what we take with us. Many changes do come on life's paths.

I’m 4 episodes into Beauty and the Beast and I just think it’s so interesting how basically every single woman in this show seems to fall for Vincent almost instantly. Like the whole lion-man thing is NOT an issue, or at least never for very long. Meanwhile almost every man who sees him is like, “I HATE THIS FREAK HE HAS TO DIE!!”

Low key convinced that the writers had a pro-furry agenda, but I genuinely have always loved Ron Perlman so I’m living for their push to make him a heartthrob, despite the intense prosthetics. It’s what he deserves tbh.

I was also able to confirm my hunch that Guillermo Del Toro was watching this show at some point. Found an interview from a few years back where Ron was talking about his career trajectory and he mentioned that his casting in Hellboy was because GDT had seen his monster work and was interested in him.

Whatever this claymore can be called-

That claymore is called Bunnymoon! Saïx gets that in Days if you equip him with the Mystery Gear, which is said to "draw forth its wielder's personality". I think it's really charming and actually very telling of Saïx's character tbh - that deep down he's a kid that grew up far too soon, that looked to the skies and romanticized space and travel (the rocket) and also is fond of soft and cute things deep down (the rabbit). While the alternate weapons level of canon-ness is dubious at best, I really love how much each weapon shows off aspects of the characters they equate to. The name of Saïx's weapons are very interesting, but Bunnymoon and Just Desserts are very much faves of mine haha

The rabbit motif also comes from the tale of The Rabbit In The Moon, which is an Asian folktale; in said tale, if I remember correctly, a rabbit offers all it can to help a beggar in need, and then offers to sacrifice itself by walking through fire. The beggar turns out to be a god of the sun, and carves the rabbit's likeness into the moon, and so the dark spots on the moon are meant to represent the rabbit's noble nature. Which. feels very fitting to me in a lot of ways haha. There's also Saïx's hair lowkey looking like floppy bunny ears lmao. I like the rabbit connection and I think its a super interesting angle but I tend to relate him to other animals!

Theres obviously the wolf/werewolf motifs and I am always a sucker for that. I'm a gay furry that likes big hairy beasts what can I say. Werewolves 100% do it for me and I really like writing Saïx as wolfish - a pack animal that struggles with such a lack of familiarity around him and so lashes out and forces itself to work so independently, much to its detriment.... I love that Saïx's journal text in KH2 talks of him having a 'savage nature' and, in my writing and lfotr especially, I often characterise Saïx's ability of Berserk as its own thing, a sentient part of him, a werewolf-esque part of his personality that he consciously can understand and interact with almost. Everyone in my chat will tell you tho that I very much have a catboy Isa agenda lmaoooo. Listen. Listen. it stems from the werewolf angle but hear me out. He deserves to purr when he's happy and comfortable. He deserves to knead biscuits on those he loves as he gets comfortable and fall asleep against them. He needs to show affection by gentle headbutting as he goes past. He needs attention, and will hunt for you and bring you gifts, and he should secretly enjoy being petted and that man is a cat hahaha

I really miss that team, and I really love Jasper. This is how he got the Valhalifax, and how he came to get Kiki Familia as his mentor.

The Salt is lost short circuit that takes place in a Halifax where all the water has disappeared, leaving a vast salt flat behind, and a coven works in secret to try to bring the water back.

I finished a book this year, and it's a book that wouldn't have happened without Blaseball. I wanted to give my Blaseball OC, Oliver Trashcat, a story of his own, and what I got out of it is basically a love letter to Blaseball. There's nods to the fan culture, entire goddamn Garages lyrics, Talker arch types, and even a couple of cameos. I'm hosting it on Itch, and also posting it here one chapter at a time. It's pay what you want on Itch, which mean if you want to just download it for free, please do! I love these people and I want to share them with you all.

Assorted “Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog” Opinions, Complaints, and Observations

(This post and this post serving as references.)

- The Classic Era remains the comic at its best. It knew exactly what it wanted to be at the start, a silly colorful kids’ book promoting SEGA’s mascot, but then decided it wanted to get more serious with a continuous narrative and character development, and for the most part (excluding the stuff Ken Penders did with Knuckles) it did it well. The first 15 issues are totally AoStH-style silly, the next 10 issues have a more dramatic SatAM-style undercurrent, the following 10 issues flip it so that the AoStH-style silliness is the undercurrent, and the last 15 issues are totally SaTAM-style drama, with the only weird instances of tonal off-ness being the more serious Princess Sally miniseries early in and the more goofy Sonic Blast special later on (and we do NOT talk about Sonic Live!, it isn’t canon so it may as well not exist.)

- Discounting the Knuckles series and many of the increasingly asinine Super Specials, I am also incredibly fond of the Adventuring Era, which was full of good writing, world-building and characterization for everyone not being written by Ken Penders, and was even able to pull off a Sonic Adventure adaptation that made sense in the context of the series and was better than it had any right being given the troubled circumstances behind its production. The comic series during the Classic and Adventuring Eras WAS Sonic for me throughout my childhood.

- But like many, the Declining Era is where the series lost me. I don’t blame Karl Bollers for this; a lot of his writing was still solid. But the editor for some reason or other decided to push the serious tone too far and add romantic furry teen drama to the equation for good measure. Worse still, after #105 Robotnik suffered from some massive villain decay and a general loss of direction. THE villain of the series began to feel like an afterthought, and it pissed me off. With that said, I’ve....kind of softened on the Declining Era in recent years. It’s still not good, there’s plenty wrong with it (especially the artwork), but compared to the era that followed it’s perfectly tolerable, and #125, with some re-working, would have made a decent series finale.

- Yes, the Miserable Era was the nadir of quality in the series and Ian Flynn being hired was a marked improvement. No, I do not agree he was the savior of the Sonic comics he’s been made out to be - not in the Renewal Era, not in the Burdened Era, not in the Reboot Era, and not even in the current IDW Comics. There’s just way too often where his stories are transparently advancing an Agenda(TM). And whether or not you agree with the Agenda(TM) being advanced is irrelevant, because after enough instances of it happening you just get sick of the characters and world of Sonic being manipulated for Agendas(TM). I feel like prime examples of this are the King Scourge arc and the Iron Dominion arc. Ian previously wrote some truly epic sequential story arcs that lasted anywhere from 2 to 5 issues, as is the norm for this series. And yet these two arcs lasted 9 issues and 12 issues respectively. Why? Because Flynn had an Agenda(TM) to push these edgy reinventions of old lame villains as major league threats in order to show just how talented a writer he really is. The co-running King Naugus and Mecha Sally arcs were a similar deal, as was the Zeti stuff in IDW. And it’s all just so tiresome, just as tiresome as anything Penders and Gabrie put the comic through.

- One thing I appreciate both the Archie comic series and SatAM show for is establishing a distinct world, supporting cast and mythology for Sonic long before the games got around to doing it. With that said, I liked Archie’s better since it had elements of the games and AoStH in addition to SatAM, and the stuff that was taken from SatAM was mostly executed better; the glaring exception being the characterizations of King Acorn and Sally post-Classic Era.

- Speaking of which, worst characters over the course of the series: King Maximillian Acorn, Geoffrey St. John, Drago the Wolf, Hershey the Cat, Tommy the Turtle, Colin Kintobor Sr., Evil Sonic / Scourge, Fiona the Fox, Monkey Khan, the entire Iron Dominion, Dr. Ian Droid, Locke and the Echidna Brotherhood, Dimitri and most of the Dark Legion, Monk, Hunter, Tails’ douchey parents, Zonic the Zone Cop, Mecha Robotnik, Thrash the Devil, and Lara-Su.

- In regards to shipping, the Sonic/Sally/Mina love triangle was stupid and should not have been a thing, and then after #134 Sonic and Sally should have remained broken up and Sonic shouldn’t have pursued any form of romance afterward. As for Knuckles, he should have had a period apart from Julie-Su where they both better figured themselves out without the other around, and then they could get back together (in a poly threesome with Rouge).

- The reboot was largely for the best; even without Ken Penders’ lawsuit bullshit there was so much baggage weighing the series down and it had drifted so far away from the rest of the franchise that a reboot honestly felt logical. Don’t think I’m absolving Penders though, as such a reboot absolutely should have happened on better terms than the forced way it did.

- I will always maintain that the place we ended the series at was, in fact, a good place to end the comic series. But sadly, it wasn’t a good place to end the reboot, which for all intents and purposes had only just begun and had so much more that could be done with it. I will always hold some resentment toward SEGA for not just allowing the reboot to continue under IDW, especially when Ian Flynn keeps trying to make the IDW series like the Archie series anyway.

- Favorite story arcs: Sally’s Crusade (#17-18, SP1), the Uncle Chuck arc (#30, #32, #34, #37-38), Mecha Madness (#39, SP6, #40), the Death Egg Saga (MS4), Endgame (#47-50/SS6)*, the Naugus Trilogy (#64-66), the Return of Robotnik (#72-76), Sonic Adventure (#79-85 + SS13), Sonic Adventure 2.5 (#124-125), Return to Angel Island (#138-141), Darkest Storm (#162-164), Order From Chaos (#168-169), Eggman Empire (#175-177), Enerjak Reborn (#180-184), Mogul Rising (#185-188), The Egg Phoenix Saga (#198-200), Genesis (#225-230), and much of the Shattered Earth Saga (#253-272 and #276-287).

So... Deep breaths.

I'm starting on the Starlight Brides series, and... Oh boi. We have some issues.

So, the first book, Alien Minotaur Prize, by Hattie Jacks, is actually good. It's not on my top 10 books, but it's an ok and even fun read.

Again, it's a Mail Order bride, because you read one book like that and now Kindle thinks it's the only kind of book I like/want to read. At least until I actively look for another kind.

So, Ginny is being threatened, and has to sign up to the Starlight Lotteries, that no one really knows it's a Mail Order Bride program, thinking it will get her off the ship Brittania. So, baby girl ends up getting married to an Alien Minotaur king.

From scrubbing air vents for a living to a queen? I wouldn't complain either.

It's a good book. Some scenes could be taken off, as they're only there for the spice, but they're well written, and there are some time gaps that could be filled with some character and relationship development but I understand that it's just them falling into a routine so it doesn't really make sense.

Now, we get to book 2, Aliens Werewolf Prize, by January Bell, and... I couldn't write about this one without having something else as a reference, so I decided to put them both together.

Aileen works on the shittiest possible job at [Unnamed Space Station] where humans are the lowest of the low, cleaning a perv brain in a jar and caring for a sentient tentacle in an exhibit. She and her best friend registered for Starlight Lotteries years ago in search of better options, and they just got accepted! Now, she's going off to marry a Werewolf clan leader (they all have political agendas to look for a bride), and y'all know the rest.

However!

Ok, the Minotaur is not one of my top 10 books, but it's a good read.

The werewolf? Girl, we got some issues to work out here!

So, Book 1, we have many named characters, even if they don't even talk, we see that the characters have a relationship, respect and understanding for the people around them. Ginny got a full Entourage just so she wouldn't feel lonely!

Book 2? I think we have, like, 5 or 6 named characters, and most of them don't show up for most of the book. Like, my girl spent time in the kitchen, the chef made her food, and not a single word was exchanged in the whole scene! And we clearly see that time passed because the chef had to make her food from scratch! That was some wasted potential on world building and character development just... Defenestrated!

And he showed up to her with a FULL ON 50 SHADES SHIT ASS SEX CONTRACT! Like, I know that they're mail order brides, and that comes with a contract about their safety, a trial period, some money/dowry they'll get if things don't go as planned... And that's understandable. They're being thrown in a whole new situation and need a safety net.

But a sex contract? To establish their boundaries? No. That's a big ass no no and a red flag if I've ever seen one. Boundaries should be talked about and respected. There's no need for it to be written down on a healthy relationship.

Also, book 1? Ginny goes out. She spends time knowing the people, the cities, she pulls her weight for the position she now holds. She even spends some time with her new husband before getting officially married.

Book 2, is... Rushed. She gets the job, spends a day at a Starlight Hub Station Thingy to get prepared, gets in a shuttle to his homeworld, gets married, he takes her to a vacation house or whatever, they fuck and... That's it?

Also, darling, this is a werewolf romance book. Why the fuck is it that the only time we "see" his wolf form is when she's going back to the main home, and she vaguely mentions a) hearing distant wolf howls in the night when he's not in bed with her, and b) having his furry form cuddling her. Where's the fear/excitement that comes with seeing your werewolf partner change for the first time? Trying to comfort them because the change hurts? Bring unsure if you should tuck tail and run, or jump them?

And, as much as I don't really like it when a book is just sex scene after sex scene for bulk, shock value or "the horneez", we have one scene, that keeps jumping from POv, which is extremely annoying and breaks the immersion in the scene.

Ok, fine, the biggest sin this book committed is being too short. I want to know more about those wolves. I want to see them better, understand their lore and story.

That's not the point. The romance, although a bit rushed, is ok. It's not a bad romance (gaga ooh lala aah 🎵🎶)

But it lacks what makes it a good romance to me. And it has one red flag too many for my taste. Not even Dark Romances are that level with Boundaries!

Overall, book one is a 6/10. Not bad but could be better, I have a couple notes, but I understand that using them would make it into all but a slow burn series. And book 2 is a 4/10. Could definitely be better. Hell, could be 10 pages longer.

Yes, some sort of "Lawful Neutral from Neutral Good" pathway here with divine means of warfare and social intrigues. Definitely gonna enforce most of it in my notes and stories but yeah, it is much later game stuff.

Have fun with me breaking havoc in the late stages of this campaign play-through man. But the early game should be fair deal enough considering I leave much space for them to shine and for me to prepare.
