This is amazing 😍!!! The colours are great as is, but I do wish for a time machine to see just how vivid someone who clearly knew what they were doing was able to achieve at this piece's peak, befor time and light exposure.

I wonder if people ever planned around this...choosing their stitches in such a way that if an object was to be unravelled and reknit/sewn/woven down the line, the variegation of faded and preserved spots along the yarn would make a pleasing pattern?
