What are your favorite things about Gilderoy? Gush about him please!!!!!

Oooh yes! I know about it! I had to have him!

What do I love about Lockhart…I mostly grew to love him because he’s hilarious, the fake, over-confident smile and the constant fuck-ups just make him a highlight in CoS (which is my favorite HP movie & book).

I really thought his Pottermore backstory was really interesting, if he wasn’t immediately the best at something, he would just give up and that teachers thought he would be a really successful wizard if he just applied himself. Him writing his name across the quidditch field which earned him multiple detentions. Classic. It was also cool that he wasn’t a generic evil Slytherin or associated with Voldemort in any way. He was his own thing. He was put in Ravenclaw for a reason, he was smart enough to come up with this whole farce and keep it up for long enough to become famous from it and most likely got rich. Also the fact that JK said Lockhart was the only character based off someone IRL is amazing lol

Kenneth Branagh is just hot to me, I’ve loved him in other films and I just think Lockhart is great at doing his job cause I’m attracted lol…it’s like…have you seen his dueling outfit?!? 👀
