TRANSLATION COMMISSIONS OPEN

Heya, been a while since I made a post about this, I'm Renne from the (mostly one-man) translation group Shuten Doujin Translations, or"SDTLs" for short, we specialize in translating adult manga/hent*i from Japanese to English, if you're curious about our works you can search "SDTLs" in the adult manga site of your preference, such as e-/exhent*i or nhent*i. (We're always open for commissions but I thought I should make a new post promoting them since the circumstances have changed since last time.)

While adult manga is our forte, it doesn't need to be specifically that, it can be short (sfw or otherwise) comics or scripts (though probably not something the length of a book) as well as just editing b/w manga (everything but single doujinshi/manga chapters have different fee rates, so please inquiry about specifics). Our translations are JP→ENG⇆SPA

If you're interested in commissioning us here's a breakdown of the main info:

$25 (USD) base fee + $6 every 200 translated words (+ $any extra editing, transparent text, heavy redraw, etc., up to a maximum of $25 [might require outsourcing]) x 1.08 bullshit p@ypal fee.

With that pricing, an average 20 page chapter with simple editing would be roughly $40~$55 depending on the word count.

Strictly forbidden content includes: /o/icon, sc@t, bestia/ity, and other similar extreme fetishes. (Note that even if it doesn't feature any of that we might refuse to work on it for other reasons.)

However, please take into account that:

Since the total cost is based on TRANSLATED WORDS I won't know the exact amount until the script is done, I can give a rough estimate but it can be wrong, if the difference is too big I'll let you know and we can reach an agreement.

Because of that, there's no upfront payment, an invoice will only be sent once the script is done and there's a 100% guarantee that I'll complete it once it's paid.

There is a queue and it's suceptible to the length of other commissions as well as personal events in my life, be patient but don't doubt messaging me to ask for updates if I take too long.

New File! Horny Party Bro

(I don't know how seriously Tumblr takes bad words so I'm afraid, lmao. Excuse the l33tspeak hereafter.)

The file name is a deliberate throwback to that era of 2010-2015 files on WMM which always had that format of "Adjective, Adjective 2/Noun, Masc Noun": i.e, "Big Dumb Jock", etc etc. This is a new exploration of the masculinization concept wherein I take advantage of your brain's implicit biases and knowledge of stereotypes to make you act a certain way.

Here's how it works. if a guy works out, it's likely he does other stuff we associate with that cliché: eating clean, getting his steps in, watching sports... even if he didn't do those things initially, his social brain gradually influences him to perform other behaviours related to that new facet of identity over time, to help him find a tribe. In this way, like links in a chain, your knowledge (and lust) for masculine stereotypes is exploited here to drag you further along it, making you more the man you wanna be. Because let's be real... you don't wanna be complex. You wanna be a trope; a caricature of masculinity. A big, buff, physical dude with nothing on the brain besides hole, sports, partying... etc. The platonic ideal of a man is a lusty, impulsive frat boy after all.

Raising funds to help pay freelance taxes!

Turns out I owe a lot more than I expected this year, and unfortunately that means I need to open up some emergency commission slots to cover the costs (and also the taxes I owe on the commissions I take to pay for this, so I don't have to do this again next year).

I'm opening 10 total slots to do this! I'm open for full color, full body pieces for $80.00 USD each. This includes my undie commissions, outfit design commissions, and illustrations. If you need more examples of my work, you can use the #hackfarts tag on my blog!

You're welcome to claim multiple slots, too! Each additional character you add to a piece (+$80) and each additional background (also +$80, might be more based on complexity) will claim another slot from my 10 total goal. general stuff:

please check out my rules as well before commissioning! my rules there apply here as well. i write character x reader, for all of the fatui harbingers. i do write sfw things like fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, romantic or platonic, etc. i do not write anything too dark, toxic/abusive, yandere, cheating, nsfw, etc. i can do headcanons, fics/oneshots, boyfriend/girlfriend texts, etc. i have the right to decline a commission.

pricing/payment:

for writing: every 1 word = ¢1, every 100 words = $1

for texts: a bundle of five texts = $2

if i go over the word count you requested, you will not need to pay extra.

process:

1. dm me on tumblr (please don't be a blank blog and have an age somewhere.) we will talk about your request and i will decide if i will take it.

2. i will write it. i may contact you for further guidance/info on what to add to your request, and if there are any delays and so on.

3. after i finish writing your commission, i will ask for you to send the payment to me over ko-fi. once i’ve received payment, i will send the writing for you to read and see if you’re satisfied. you can tell me if there are any mistakes or edits you want to be done. with your permission, i will also post it to tumblr for everyone to enjoy, and you will remain anonymous.

I use Kofi to take commissions, you don't need an account to buy there. It works like this :

1) Go on my commission page and select the slot you're interested in

2) You can contact me before or after taking a slot if you have questions/need infos :)

3) By paying you confirm the commission and the slot is taken. I usually ask for a full payment in once, but don't hesitate to tell me if you need to several payments so I can adapt to your budget.

4) While I work on the commission I give you updates regularly in dms (on Kofi or your socials if you prefer) and I show you the different steps. I ask for your review on them.

I only allow 3 changes on the sketch, every additional change requires an additional fee :)

5) I send you the final file with WeTransfer for digital artworks. I have never done international physical shipping before for watercolors, so thank you for being patient and indulgent on this !

Hey, guys! I'd like to address a personal issue which actually concerns everyone in this fandom. Please, read and react somehow🙏 For those on the bojere fanbook server, that's going to be pretty much the same as what you read yesterday. If I'm too direct or accidentally overshare, sorry, keep in mind that I'm autistic

So for quite a long time I felt secretly disliked in the fandom. I am a very anxious person, I hang on every piece of feedback that I get so it bothered me a lot. I wasn't allowed to participate in the Käärijä zine and they never explained why and I almost didn't get in the bojere fanbook as well but at least the mods were kind enough to communicate the issue

So the mods told me yesterday that people felt uncomfortable about me taking part in this and having me on the server. I felt very down the whole day and didn't understand shit until Moko and Due gave me the explanation. The issue was "radfem" in my bio on Twitter. They explained to me how my associating with radfem made them think I was potentially threatening to other people on the server, especially the queer folk. But the thing is I turned out to be quite different. I consider myself to be radfem cause I've had a lot of traumatic experience with men (SA, abusive relationship), I don't want any other women to go through something like I had to experience, I am with women, I'm fighting for our comfort and against the patriarchy. Also I am from Kazakhstan and we have big issues with women's rights here including all kinds of abuse and femicide for which men tend to not get in jail. You might have heard how our ex minister of Economics abused and k*lled his wife and didn't get in jail until the case reached the news. That's all, that's what it means TO ME to be radfem. So I guess this radfem is different to the one you're used to. I am not transphobic and I have never thought my views had anything to do with queer people. I have always been nothing but respectful towards queer people, online or irl. I have nonbinary friends who are comfortable with communicating with me. As a cis person, I may not understand something, but we tend to talk anything through in order to understand each other better, not waiting for any of us get hurt accidentally. So I suggest the same - if you need further clarification, you can ask me questions in reblog or dms and I'll answer. Also I'm open to literature suggestions to get to understand you guys better💕

Also regarding Russian-Ukranian issue in case anyone has a problem with it

Since I'm openly Russian speaking (though being from Kazakhstan and half Ukrainian myself), Ukrainians might have an issue with me and I perfectly understand why so I try not to bother them. However, some of them didn't want to leave me and my friends alone. You might have seen this big Russian-Ukranian fight on twitter in April, mostly taking place in JO fandom. The thing is that (again) people don't dig deep and assume I am pro Russian since I speak Russian and happen to not be able to speak Ukrainian or Kazakh (in Kazakhstan we mostly speak Russian). Me and my Russian speaking friends were bullied, our personal info was leaked without our permission and one of us got threatened to be physically hurt once she arrives to a JO gig we are all going to. Of course I protected my friends and myself, maybe not in the best way possible. Luckily, we were able to talk everything through with the guys and no one means to hurt anyone anymore. I suggested doing commissions for donations and I still do that if you're interested. I am pro Ukrainian and pro Palestinian and genocides suck

If someone doesn't want to communicate with me for whatever reason, just don't, what's the problem. But don't limit a person before clarifying things, I beg you. Please, I really want to be on good terms with everyone. I wish peace to everyone 🙏
