takeritsu is the moon and the stars.
momozou is the moon. he thinks he can only shine for other people, like a leech stealing light from others. he glows, but he feels like he shouldn't. he doesn't know how much he can light up people's lives just by being his kind self.
ritsu is the stars. he shines so bright even light years away, even if he so badly wants to blend in as someone insignificant. when you look up close though, he's burning, burning away in gas and chemical reactions. a star awaiting its supernova. he doesn't know he's guided so much lost souls in the dark.

A is for Arrival...?
Summary: Remus and Janus are shopping ready for the new arrival for their family.
Note: The start of an AU and series because I’m just a sucker for any type of familiar sides. Romantic Demus and Royality.
Next Part: B is for Baby Time
.
“Hey Jay?” Remus suddenly stopped; his eyes enormous.
“Yes, dear?” Janus put on a dramatic Victorian tone, his spine straightening with his hand frozen poised with the packet of washing up sponges.
“Do we need to get birthday stuff?” Janus immediately scrunched his face, “No wait! Listen. You celebrate your kid’s birthday every year so surely you celebrate his first ever one ever. Right?”
Janus stared into the distance as he dropped the sponges on the floor, “Call your brother.”
“No,” Remus whined but still pulled up his phone and promptly shoved it into Janus’ chest, “He’ll only make fun of me if I ask it. If you ask it, then maybe he’ll presume he’s the stupid!”
“Did he celebrate Logan’s first ever ever birthday? What would you even call it? First day of existence?” Janus frowned as he speed dialled the number.
“If he did, he didn’t invite me!” Remus shrugged before picking up the sponges. He immediately crowded into Janus and smooshed himself into his shoulder.
They picked up on the second ring, Patton’s sigh answering. Something that they probably weren’t supposed to hear. “Hello Roman. We just have a quick question,” Janus chirped.
“Hey Janus. It’s Patton by the way. Wow, another question, huh?” Patton, meanwhile, gave Roman a stern look and thrusted the phone at him again. Roman pulled a face as he shrugged and ducked back down behind the sofa. Frowning, he put it on speaker so they could both suffer, “What did you want to ask?”
“Should we celebrate our baby’s first ever day? Like a birthday but for their very very first birthday?”
“What!” Roman shrieked before leaping back on to the sofa; ever so suddenly finding the strength to talk.
“What do you mean ‘what’! God, he’s such a douche,” Remus muttered.
“I’m a douche, oh am I? Why would you celebrate a baby’s first ever day. It’s their first ever day in this world! They get overwhelmed and scared so easily. It’s a big scary world out there and you’re going to shove a party in their face! The baby is barely old enough to move it’s own hands! It’s a baby!” Roman complained while Patton giggled.
“To treat this seriously for a second, when you finally get your baby, the very last thing you want to do is mess around too much. After all this time, all that waiting, you finally get this tiny fragile baby. A tiny itty bitty baby. All you’ll want to do is just sit there and watch them quietly. A party is the last thing you’ll think to do. Heh, me and Roman even forgot to eat that day and only remembered hours later,” Patton spoke softly with his own memories uplifting his annoyance. Roman smiled and knocked their shoulders together.
“...So is it worth buying like finger food in case we forget to eat?” Remus interrupted.
“Uh... yeah? I mean, yeah that would work,” Roman fumbled.
“Okay. Cheers. Bye!” Remus called out while Janus rolled his eyes, “Wow. We really need to get them something for putting up with all this.”
“Well I’m going to keep talking to them, you weirdo.” Janus ran his hand through Remus’ crazed curls but he was quickly shrugged off as Remus went to evaluate which bleach was best for their toilet, “How are you two?”
“Yeah, all’s good here! Just your typical day, what are you doing?” Patton chirped.
“Baby shopping mixed with some normal shopping. Extremely exciting, I’m sure you’re jealous,” Janus felt his voice go soft at just the mere mention of his coming baby.
“Aww! That’s so sweet,” Patton sighed, “I miss that so much about Logie. Baby clothes shopping is the only reason worth becoming a dad.”
“Oh Pat! Such slander, I’m impressed,” Janus laughed.
“Oh hush! Everyone knows that baby clothes are the best cutest things in existence. Aw, are you going to buy Halloween clothes! Me and Roman saw some adorable skeleton onesies today and I came this close to buying it for the baby.”
“Yeah, I think at this point we’ve bought him more Halloween clothes than normal baby stuff. That’s the whole reason we still have to do some shopping. There were these pumpkin shoes and socks. Oh Pat! I swear if I wasn’t so macho and cool, I would’ve cried. Baby shoes are just so tiny!” Remus raised a brow at his squealing voice. But then he also knew exactly what Janus was talking about just from his tone alone. Those shoes were actually pretty cute.
“They are right! Aw, do you know any more about the baby?”
“Well...” Janus drawled while Remus took a breath. They agreed that Janus was going to deal with this breaking news.
“We met up with the mother yesterday.”
“Oh! My! Oh! Oh, Jayjay! That’s amazing! How was she?” Remus quickly snatched the phone and flicked it to speaker. Janus raised a brow at him but he was only met with the most mischievous smirk back. He frowned but turned back to continue talking only now with Patton’s voice squeaking out across the aisle.
“She looked exhausted. I felt so bad for her. Meeting up for a coffee looked like the very last thing she wanted to do,” Remus said.
“Bless her,” Janus sighed, “She was lovely.”
“Aw, that’s good. We never really got to meet our surrogate, how come yours wanted to meet?”
“Well, she apparently had a bit of a health scare. All is good! Everything is all good! But she just wanted to sit down with us and actually go through everything that happened. So we sat and talked about the health of the baby. Again, all is good obviously. But... so... we may or may not have found out our baby’s gender,” Janus winced once the squeal erupted over the phone. Remus cackled at the amount of people who turned to look at them with dirty looks before he turned the speaker off again. Ah, yes wouldn’t be a trip to the shops if Remus couldn’t spread some mild chaos.
“What’s their gender!” Patton screamed before launching up from the sofa. Roman was giggling as Patton jumped up and down and spun him around.
“We’re having a boy!” Janus smiled. He would deny the glow in his chest for this rest of his life but he couldn’t help but grab Remus’ hand. Remus smiled, thankfully, and squeezed his hand with his own lovesick smile. Their baby boy.
“Oh a boy!” Patton squealed high enough for dogs.
“Typical, not one girl in this entire family,” Roman chuckled.
“Oh congrats guys! When’s the due date again?” Patton sighed.
“10th of December. I almost feel bad for the boy. He’s going to have to put up with the whole Christmas birthday combination.”
“I’m still upset that he wasn’t a Halloween baby,” Remus frowned.
They chatted for a few more minutes before Janus finally hung up. They were still holding hands- they would look exactly like a couple from a lovey film if they actually dressed like normal people rather than Disney villains. All they needed to do now grab was some more normal baby outfits. A very simple easy task. Just look at some clothes and chose some cute functional clothes.
But every single time... every single time, they would find the most abnormal baby outfits possible. That and they always spent a good ten solid minutes of staring at the tiny shoes. They looked like build-a-bear shoes. They didn’t even look real.
“I can’t wait until he arrives,” Remus mumbled as he picked up a hideous orange dinosaur patterned jumper set. Janus tried to hide the smile but he quickly placed his head on his shoulder as they stood there.
“Neither can I. He can’t come soon enough. Just like how you can’t put back that gross set soon enough.”
“You don’t like it! I think it’s cute.” Remus tilted his head as if that made it cuter.
“He’s so not going to be an orange baby.”
“You don’t know that! Does he even need a colour?”
“You’ve got green, I like yellow. He also needs a colour. While we can still have control over what he wears at least,” Janus stated like Remus was a toddler trying to argue that the sky was green.
“So we both have our ugly colours. Then he also needs an ugly colour too! Orange is a disgusting colour!” Remus thrusted the jumper in his face.
“Oh totally exactly, dear,” Janus rolled his eyes before he then felt the passion erupt from him, “Okay. Firstly, for your information, yellow is a beautiful colour thank you very much. You’re the one that chose the grossest colour of green to embrace. He can have purple,” Janus winced as he guided Remus’ hand back down to the shelf.
“Purple?”
“Yes. A beautiful colour. Not only does it screw over superfluous ridiculous gender roles, it also is close enough to match our dress senses,” Janus stated with a proud look. Remus opened his mouth but then snapping it shut with a respectful nod. Yep, that sounded like a plan.
They eventually found some normal tiny eeny weeny pair of jeans and they used all of their collective strength to stay clear of all the Halloween clothes and bought some presentable jumpers. Janus was finally starting to get fed up with standing around in a shop before he realised that Remus’ eyes kept flicking to a shelf behind them.
He never made any move to actually go look at whatever it was and he never mentioned it. Janus found every reason to keep looking at the same pairs of stripey socks to give him time but he still said nothing. It was so uncommon that Remus felt shy about suggesting something. What could be the harm? “What you looking at?” Janus asked while exaggeratedly turning around.
“Um... I just noticed...” Remus drawled off. It was just a discount shelf. It was stacked with just random broken items that clearly no one ever take any interest in. Remus shyly sulked up to it and pushed aside the chipped mugs and torn notebooks without any hesitation. He pulled up a baby blanket.
It was the exact same incredibly soft material all baby stuff was made from. The stuff where your hand magnetised to its softness. It was a quilted baby blanket in a pastel lilac. It was cute but it wouldn’t be on a discounted shelf without reason. There was a large smudge of black marker on its corner. But as Remus held it up, Janus laughed. It wasn’t quilted. It was sewn to be a spider web pattern around the blanket. Clearly an old Halloween gimmick.
He turned to ask if Remus was all ready to go then and was immediately punched in the stomach. Remus was all teary eyed and awkwardly looking anywhere but him. His fingers brushed through the blanket over and over again.
“Oh Reem,” Janus cooed and tugged the blanket from his grasp but he didn’t let go.
“I don’t even know why I’m tearing up!” Remus pressed his arms against his face. Janus felt himself tearing up as well. Something about how Remus’ voice would go all wobbly and pitchy when he was on the edge of tears just always got to him, “Just... oh this is so fucking stupid.”
“Well you’ve got us both crying in a shop at 9 in the morning. I’d say it sounds pretty dumb,” Janus smiled.
“Just... he could be our little spider. Just like how I’m your octopus and you’re my snake,” Remus’ voice was practically crumbling away. Janus felt a disgusting childish tear slip down his face.
“Oh Reem.” Janus hugged him, only so he didn’t have to experience the embarrassment of people seeing his husband’s gross taste in blankets of course.
“How much spider stuff have we bought him! Like that would be perfect. And this is purple and spider!” Remus felt a tear escape his control too but he just buried his nose in Janus’ hair.
“Oh you are such a nightmare of a husband. I’m taking you back to the husband shop and refunding you,” Janus groaned, he broke away and snatched the blanket from his grasp and shoved it into their trolley. At least it was cheap. Plus they would probably end up staining it with gross new born baby vomit anyway.

no use crying over spilled milk
→ yg x reader / platonic ot7
→ 3.8k
→ this is part 29 of my sm au spilled milk, but it could be read as a stand alone if you choose :) also not proof read well so i’ll fix that jnfsk
you clasped your hands together, violently shaking your legs up and down. the soft hum of music from your earbuds drowned out the commotion of the airport. despite the mellow acoustics of the song you couldn’t help but feel a bundle anxiety nipping at your insides.
you couldn’t help it even if you wanted to. and believe me you tried several times to stop shaking your legs after the lady next to you sent you a dirty look.
to say that you were a nervous wreck would be the understatement of the year. just ask your two friends jiwoo and chittaphon who had dropped you off at the crack ass of dawn to take you to the airport.
“wow this is a lot of trouble for some guys you met online.” chittaphon had said while looking at the dark road ahead. you raised an eyebrow and gave him a small shove from the passenger’s seat. he had always given you a hard time about the boys, but you knew it was from concern more than actual animosity.
jiwoo giggled and put her chin up to your seat to peer at the both of you. “ooo~ she looks mad.” she teased him with a big grin while poking your chin.
“ok, that was warranted…” chittaphon paused with an unreadable expression before cracking into a worried expression, “but seriously y/n if they end up being human traffickers jiwoo and i won’t hesitate to bail you out.”
jiwoo pulled away from the seat and slapped her flexing forearm, “i didn’t take taekwondo for nothing...they’ll never see me coming!”
their comments struck you as odd but you then realized it was their weird way of being sincere and it warmed your heart. and like you were going to a foreign country to meet some internet friends— so it was understandable that they were apprehensive.
“i don’t think they’re going to be human traffickers but thanks guys.” you shook your head quietly. “i know this is all crazy.”
the car went silent momentarily before chittaphon and jiwoo exchanged glances to each other. your usually talkative friends both said nothing as they looked back to you. suddenly a small feeling of doubt settled in your stomach.
your male friend knitted his eyebrows together earnestly, “i’m actually worried y/n, i mean you don’t really know them y’know?”
a twang of hostility hit your heart. you wanted to deny his words but part of you knew that his words were completely warranted. he and jiwoo were just looking out for your best interest but it still felt as though you were being scolded.
jiwoo however interjected before you could muster up a response, “but at the same time we understand how much this means to you, and if you feel truly up for it, then by all means we can’t stop you.”
your hands fiddled with the zipper of your jean jacket unconsciously. “it may sound odd but...” you paused trying to articulate your thoughts, “some of my happiest moments in a long time happened because of them. i’m an adult and i know what i’m getting into, so please have some faith in me. i’m just a nervous as you.”
“we aren’t saying that we don’t trust you it’s just that we care a lot about you.” his words held an edge to them but his tone was laced with some vulnerability. chittaphon wasn’t one for verbal displays of affection or words. the car continued forward as he spoke to you, “i’m actually really excited for you...i just don’t want you to be disappointed.”
now back to the present— a deep breath exited your mouth as the song got to the chorus. your head found its way leaned back onto the wall and your eyes closed. the soft rhythms perfectly contrasted with the abnormal beating in your chest.
it had been a little over five months since you’d met your seven friends in an app you decided to join on a whim. that night it didn’t even cross your mind that these seven men would reveal themselves as some of the best people you’ve met.
since that january night you’d grown closer to them than any other people, save for your two aforementioned friends. you wouldn’t be able to put the amount to fondness you had for them into words. texting them was comparable to a breath of fresh air. with all their eccentricities and personalities meshing, you finally found people you could lose yourself to, a group of weirdos if you will. which is what consequently led you to having an e-boyfriend and pseudo family— but that’s besides the point.
you had a certain warm feeling associated with everyone and the fact that you were meeting them this soon sent butterflies for sure...but since your conversation with your two friends you couldn’t help but hang onto that vine of worry and anxiety.
suddenly the song ended.
before you could get more into your head the intercom indicating that your flight was starting its boarding broke you out of thought.
you finally opened your eyes and instinctively looked down. you hadn’t realized that your phone had been going off the entire time. with a small frown you opened it and quickly skimmed through the conversation that was taking place.
you snickered at the last text you sent and shoved the phone into your pocket. you then briskly got up from your seat and made your way to your place in line.
—
jin stood in the middle of the airport with a handful of balloons and flowers. he looked visibly nervous to any passersby it would have seemed that he was welcoming his significant other home, i mean apart from the fact that he was surrounding by 6 other equally nervous men. each of them were equipped with various gifts and balloons.
jungkook stood in front with a sizeable piece of paper that ‘y/n!!’ written on the front with shaky sharpie. he had been biting his lip in anticipation since they had gotten there.
but the standout guy was of course mr min himself: dawned in a beanie and plain t-shirt yet still managing to sweat up a storm. he stood a little ways from the others with a small teddy bear and a few flowers. he hadn’t said anything from the moment everyone had stuffed into the van, so they thought it was best just to leave him be.
“dude you look like that alien in the doorway meme, lighten up.” taehyung approached him and put his hand on the other’s shoulder.
yoongi scrunched up his face and shot him a look, not saying anything. some of the others gave a weak chuckle in acknowledgment at the two of them.
“why are you so nervous for?” taehyung pried with a smug smile, and leaned up against his friend. “is min yoongi feeling a little bit shy?”
yoongi scoffed and smacked taehyung in the crotch, effectively getting him off his body. if he was being completely honest yes, he was feeling shy but also a flurry of multiple emotions. he also felt like throwing up because of it. however he wasn’t going to barf his guts out just because his girlfriend was coming for the first time.
“pipe down simpletons i think that group of people is from her flight.” jin declared loudly, getting the group’s attention again. the side conversations ceased and all eyes were forward. jungkook immediately put his arms above his head with the sign and waved it around.
“jungkook calm down…” namjoon turned to him in a soft tone, “she might not see it.”
a sizeable crowd from the entrance poured out into the area making it a little bit hard to decipher who was who. that is until hoseok spoke up.
“i think she sees it because she’s speed walking right towards us.” hoseok chimed in almost laughing upon seeing you speed walk with your oversized backpack and luggage.
suddenly, the sound of 7 man children screaming rang out through the entire place. it startled a few people but you didn’t mind and neither did they. you could just see their varying amounts of excitement as they raced towards you at full speed.
forgetting all traces of your doubt and worry your legs carried you until you went face first into jungkook’s chest. you didn’t have time to look up because suddenly you were smothered by multiple arms and hands. they closed in on you effectively wrapping you in a big human burrito that smelled like cologne and sweat.
even if you hadn’t technically met these men before something felt familiar. their presence was warm and welcoming. in their arms you felt like you were home. it felt right.
eventually, they all parted from you letting you finally catch a glimpse of everyone, “damn i didn’t expect you guys to be so good looking in real life.” you whistled in awe putting your hands on your hips. “i knew you were all—oh shit are those things for me?”
“that’s definitely y/n,” namjoon shook his head and looked around “i know these are all last minute gifts but they’re all for you.”
“you guys really didn’t have to…” you nervously laughed, it didn’t matter to you. you were just happy you able to meet the face behinds the texts finally. “but thanks guys i really appreciate it.”
you awkwardly looked at the items in the hands in their hands and then looked at them. their faces were filled with various expressions. but one looming question reigned superior: were you supposed to hold all the gifts or what?
—
and just like that you all had piled into a van with jungkook as the driver and jin in the passenger’s side staring at you. you sat squished between yoongi and taehyung in the 2nd row.
“how was the flight?” taehyung asked turning his head to you.
“i haven’t slept in 24 hours and i feel like i'm in the next dimension.” you said holding the teddy bear and flowers yoongi had gotten you. “but otherwise it was pretty cool.”
“y/n that’s really bad!” jimin pouted and wrapped his arms around you from the seat behind you. his chin rested on your shoulder while you shrugged dramatically.
“why didn’t you sleep?” yoongi asked quietly. you were pretty sure it was the first sentence he had said to you other than ‘here’ when he handed you your gifts. yet it still made your heart beat at inhuman levels. in a good way of course.
“i was just nervous.” you sheepishly admit. “i was really excited to see you guys.”
you heard hoseok laugh from the back, “you nerd!” unbeknownst to you namjoon shot him a look while jimin giggled absentmindedly at your and hoseok’s words.
“you must be really tired?” jungkook looked back momentarily to what was going on. the rowdiness was starting to distract him from driving so jin slapped his forearm and told him to focus.
you let out a loud laugh at the scene before you. much to your relief there was no weird initial awkwardness, it was just like hanging out with old friends for the first time in years. there was a sense of comfortability and familiarity which you supposed was probably the best thing to feel.
“so um do you want me to set up a hotel room or are you and yoongi going back to his place to do adult activities…” jin asked looking over his shoulder at you guys. the question had seemed innocent enough until he had gotten to the latter part. you almost choked on your spit while you could feel yoongi physically tense up beside you.
“jin...” namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose. his obvious disappointment could be heard from the back.
you already felt the eyes trained on the two of you before you even opened your mouth. you had forgotten for a second that that was even an option. your face heated up at the thought yet you dismissed it quickly, you had a greasy reputation to uphold. ”i mean if yoongi doesn’t mind then i’d prefer staying with him.”
he shrugged, “whatever you want.”
god having conversations about nsfw topics wasn’t this awkward in the chat. you couldn’t keyboard smash your way out of the embarrassment that came with the topic.
“jin that was very intense…” jimin partially whispered. it was almost as though he was thinking the same thing as you, “so vulgar.”
“thanks for the second hand embarrassment.” hoseok mused while scrolling through his phone, “i could’ve gone my whole life not hearing that come out of your mouth.”
“i just said what you were all thinking.” jin crossed his arms and leaned back into seat, “plus it seems more practical from them to spend time together considering the limited time they have.”
“yeah,” before you could dwell on the fact that you had to go back some time, taehyung nudged you playfully, “i agree with namjoon, you guys need all the time you can get.”
“have you considered shutting up?” yoongi leaned forward to call out his friend though he couldn’t ignore the heat rising in his face and ears. taehyung knew all the buttons to press and yoongi was not having it.
“oh am i making you flustered?” taehyung asked coyly, as if he wasn’t instigating in the first place.
jungkook intervened suddenly, “jimin why were you bent all out of shape if you and taehyung sext in the groupchat—“
namjoon let out a frustrated sigh with apparent annoyance, “ok this conversation is rotting my brain, let’s change the subject.”
so you guys did change the subject, several times actually. they told you about the sheer panic each of them had gone through when jin had dropped the bomb that you were going to make an appearance. they also told you how much trouble it was rounding everyone’s ass up. jin was the most vocal about how they had almost gotten into multiple crashes because of everyone being too rowdy. but i digress.
they droned on until the subject led itself onto food. “so um are we eating or what because i didn’t eat breakfast.” jungkook asked glancing back at everyone. “or do you want to sleep y/n…? you said something about being tired didn’t you.”
“sleep is for the weak jungkook.” you said with a deadpan expression, “and i’m starving so let’s go.”
“i know a place around here but i think you missed the turn.” hoseok mentioned loudly from the back. he proceeded to say somethings in korean which from your duolingo knowledge sounded like directions. you also noted that his voice was much more loud than you thought it would be.
“bet.” jungkook muttered to himself before he took an abrupt u-turn effectively making the entire car swerve and everyone scream profanities.
—
thanks to your big party the manager of the restaurant stuffed all 8 of you into a small separate room. which was probably the best considering that everyone was as chaotic as they were in the groupchat.
it felt a little weird considering each ‘dinner’ you had with them had been through a phone or computer screen. you guessed all those night being secretly envious of them being together all led up to this moment.
that same warm feeling from the airport seemed to encompass the entire room making it impossible for you not to smile.
the conversation was filled with callbacks to things said in the chat from your first encounters to when jungkook found out yeri was a lesbian (he still claimed that he never saw it coming but everyone just knew).
“i hate to say it but i think we should thank jin.” namjoon announced in the midst of the appetizer making everyone quiet down. “without him y/n wouldn’t be here with us right now—“
“you make it sound like he saved her life.” hoseok laughed, “it’s not that serious.”
namjoon raised both his eyebrows, “i’m just saying that because of his financial circumstances y/n would still be in america.”
“you’re absolutely right, but my love for y/n was to powerful for me not bring her.” jin beamed and then stuffed his face with some rice.
“disgusting.” you heard someone mumble making the entire table erupt with laughter. the conversation then went back and forth among everyone mimicking the groupchat closely.
in the middle of everything though, you remembered that your boyfriend was currently sitting next to you quietly observing everyone with a fond look.
his hand closest to yours was at his side while his other was busy stuffing his mouth.
your hand met his free one under the table, immediately you intertwined your fingers with his long ones. his face showed no sign of obvious emotion as he continued to eat. but you didn’t miss the way his eyes sparkle when he finally looked your way.
chittaphon was fucking wrong. how could you be disappointed?
“damn i have to drive all of you home later don’t i?” jungkook made a face of exasperation and shook his head dramatically.
“you’re the one who almost killed us earlier!” jin yelled loudly, obviously offended.
—
the ride up the elevator to yoongi’s apartment is more quiet than the ride to his actual apartment complex. and that was saying something because almost everyone had fallen into an alcohol induced sleep. anyway, he fumbles with the keys to his door as you stand there awkwardly holding your many gifts. a few people pass you by giving you odd looks before he finally manages to open the door.
you can tell that he’s nervous just from how damn long it had taken him. but it was endearing mostly. ‘too cute’, you think to yourself suddenly smiling.
he looks back at you and beacons you in, holding the door open.
his place wasn’t the most upscale, but you expected that given what he had mentioned in the groupchat. you didn’t live in the best conditions either due to your student loans but fuck capitalism am i right?
“so” he begins a little stiffly and puts your luggage next to a nearby lamp, “welcome to my place. i know it’s a little bit shitty...but it’s home.”
“it’s not shitty…” you plop your gifts on his couch haphazardly and offer him a genuine smile. you start walk up to him with your arms spread out. just by the fact that he was squinting you realize that he doesn’t know what you were doing.
“bring it in yoon.” you’re suddenly face first in his chest and now wrapping your arms around his small frame. he lets out a little sigh and shakes his head before wrapping you in his own arms. the two of you stand in the middle of the room for awhile before he pulls away.
“wow you’re really whipped for me.” he smirks to himself and pats your back, “i didn’t expect it this.”
“i didn’t expect you pat me on the back after our first hug either.” you stick your tongue out and pull away from him.
suddenly it hits you how tired you actually are, so you immediately sit down. your body sprawls out onto his couch cushions and you lie down. “bro i’m actually so tired.”
“you look tired,” he stuffs his hands into his pockets, “uh...wait here.”
he walks out of his living room and into his hallway. you can see his shadow from the dim light and vaguely rummage through what you think is a closet
“what are you doing?” you shout, boredly checking your phone and then throwing it to the side.
“i’m getting some stuff hold on.” he says back to you peeping his head out the corner.
you huff and decide to take the time to look at your surroundings. his apartment was pretty much on character, it was definitely minimalistic, but had some pictures of friends scattered here and there.
the thing that caught your attention the most though was a picture of a couple and two boys on his coffee table. it makes you sit up and lean to look at it. he never did talk about his family, if that’s who you thought they were.
he comes waddling back with a bundle of blankets in his arms. but then pauses the moment he sees you looking at the photo. for a split second it looks like he’s going to say something but then decides not to.
“what are those?” you ask confused at both the blankets and his reaction.
“well i don’t want to make you uncomfortable, so i thought that i could sleep on the couch.”
“did you forget that we are dating or…?” you raise an eyebrow.
he stood there like a sim character with low autonomy levels. silence filled the room before he just dropped everything and walked over to the couch.
“i didn’t forget i just thought you would feel weird. i mean we’ve never exactly done this before.” his hands cover his face and he takes a seat next to you. he leans back into the cushion and lets out a big huff of breath.
“yeah i get you, but this is a little weird. i’m so used to texting you guys that i wanted to keyboard smash everytime someone said something funny.” you scratched your arm casually, “i’m happy though—that we’re together y'know?”
he agrees and a lull in the conversation finally arrives.
being the nosy imbecile you were, you looked at the picture of the couple and boys again. you guess he noticed this because he speaks up.
“that’s my family.” he mentions plainly, figuring that he better fill you in than leave you in dark, “i don’t really talk much with them anymore.”
“oh...don’t you miss them?” you knew you were potentially treading through dangerous territory.
“no use crying over spilled milk.” he yawns and wraps his arm around your body. his voice is deep and groggy. he says nothing for awhile before quietly saying “you guys are more like my family now to be honest.”
soon after this, almost hesitantly, his hand gently pushes your head near his, and he kisses your forehead gently. just that little gesture makes your stomach flutter with butterflies. you beam and retaliate with a small peck on his lips.
he seems taken aback by your actions which makes you snicker and lay your head down onto his chest.
you can basically feel his heart beating outside of his chest. yet his face looks nonchalant save for the little blush on his cheeks.
“wow do you like me that much?” you tease him in almost a whisper tone. your pointer finger raises to meet his face and poke it.
he frowns and shakes his head, “sorry i like your dumbass self.”

Let It Snow, Dude
Here’s my Secret Santa gift for @senator-mothman! I hope you like it! :)
Ted had often hoped that one morning in late December, he would wake up to see a fresh blanket of powdery snow on the ground.
Unfortunately for him, temperatures hadn’t dropped below freezing for long enough to make his wish come true in a long time.
He supposed California wasn’t going to switch climates with Vermont any time soon, so all he could do was dream.
After a fight with his dad, Ted goes to Bill's house for some cheering up.
Read on AO3 or below the cut.
It was winter break, and Ted was ready. After a grueling four months of school, he finally had ample time to sit around all day watching MTV, hanging out with Bill, and practicing his most mediocre guitar riffs. His history homework was over for the time being, and Ted was going to make the most of it.
Winter break in San Dimas, unlike other places, didn’t have the same seasonal connotations that one would expect of the holidays. His hometown wasn’t exactly the ideal winter wonderland. For as long as Ted had known, it had never once snowed there. He supposed that the lack of freezing temperatures could be a good thing, but at the same time, snow could be worth the gnarly cold.
He’d often hoped that one morning in late December, he would wake up to see a fresh blanket of powdery snow on the ground, just waiting to be made into a snowman or packed down to make an ultra fast sledding course right there in his front yard. Unfortunately for Ted, temperatures hadn’t dropped below freezing for long enough to make his wish come true in a long time. He supposed California wasn’t going to switch climates with Vermont any time soon, so all he could do was dream.
Today, ‘making the most’ of his break meant sitting on the couch in his living room, watching some old action movie he had never heard of. It was a Saturday afternoon, and Deacon was out at a friend’s, so Ted had the house to himself. Well, himself, and his dad, who was busy finishing up some paperwork in his room. Close enough to all alone, he thought. It was in the middle of a black-and-white car chase that the telephone rang. Ted rolled off the couch, and rushed over to pick up before it went to the answering machine. He slid across the kitchen, and answered just before the last ring.
“This is the Logan residence,” He said. He had to be formal, just in case it was one of his dad’s heinous coworkers who wouldn’t hesitate to shout at him for a single usage of ‘dude’.
“How’s it hanging, dude?” Bill’s voice said.
Ted’s mood was immediately improved. “Hey dude! I haven’t talked to you in a most egregiously long period of time.”
“Ted, we talked for like four hours last night.” Bill said.
He was right. “Still, my friend, that was ages ago.”
“Most accurate. Anyways, Missy and my dad are gone today, so the whole house is free for us to rock as loud as we want.”
“Excellent! I’ll come over right away.” He hung up quickly, eager to leave as soon as possible.
Ted was halfway out the door when a voice sounded from behind him. “Where do you think you’re going, son?” Captain Logan said.
Ted turned to face him. “Just to Bill’s house. We have to practice in order for Wyld Stallyns to become world-renowned, you know.”
Captain Logan pinched the bridge of his nose, grumbling with annoyance. “How many times have I told you that your band nonsense has to stop? If you really want to be successful, go out and get a real job like a normal person.”
“But dad, dude-”
“And stop with the ‘dude’!” He was getting really angry now. “Did I raise you to talk like some, some delinquent?”
“Delinquent?” What did that mean, again? Something bogus, Ted assumed.
“It’s that Preston boy, isn’t it? He’s a bad influence on you, Theodore. I know all of this,” He gestured generally to Ted. “Isn’t my fault, so it must be him who is making you so abnormal.”
Abnormal? “What are you saying, dad?”
“I’m saying that you need to stop being so childish, and grow up already. Leave your band and friend behind, and start acting mature for once in your life.”
Leave Bill? He would never. “Bill is my best friend! I can’t ‘leave him behind’!”
Captain Logan’s temper was worsening. His face was cherry red, and he looked like he was about to explode. “Yes, you can Ted! And you will! It’s not normal for two young men to be close like you are. People are going to start thinking bad things about you unless you straighten out. Do you understand me? Or are you too stupid to get that one thing drilled in your head?”
Ted had had it. He could handle being called weird, being called stupid, and even being called a failure, but saying any of that about Bill was a step too far. “You’re bogus, dad! All you want is for me to be exactly like you! You know what? I’d rather be a failure with Bill than a success with you and your heinous ideas about what’s allowed and not allowed!” And with that, Ted turned and slammed the front door right in his dad’s face. He ran off before his dad could shout at him to come back.
Ted’s face was hot with rage as he ran all the way to Bill’s house, not caring that he was out of breath by the time he rang the doorbell to the suburban home.
The door swung open only seconds later, and he was greeted by Bill’s smiling face. “Hey dude! What’s-” He paused, staring at his friend’s face. “Ted, you look most troubled.”
Ted shrugged. “It’s my dad. He was saying some heinous stuff about me being a delicatessen, or something like that.” He walked into the house, closing the door behind him. “He was talking about how I should grow up and stop hanging out with you.”
Bill shook his head. “What a dickweed! Don’t let him get to you, dude. He just doesn’t realize how excellent you are.”
Ted smiled. “Thanks, Bill.” They went into the kitchen, where Missy’s expensive cooking appliances were littering the counters. “Still, it just bothers me, I guess. He doesn’t have these problems with Deacon…”
“Ted, it’s not your fault that your dad is so non-triumphant. He’s old. That’s what old people do. Criticize the youth to perpetuate a cycle of generational divide.” Bill said.
“Woah,” Ted said. “That’s deep, dude.”
“Nah, I just read it somewhere.”
Ted sat down at the table and began to run his fingers through his hair. “I dunno, dude. It’s just like… I feel like even if we become huge rockstars, he’ll never respect me, y’know?”
Bill nodded. “I get it.” He put a hand on Ted’s shoulder.
Ted looked up to see Bill’s soft features, and a comforting expression that said ‘everything is gonna be fine, dude’. Their eyes remained locked on each other for a moment too long, and Ted felt his cheeks heating up. He looked down quickly, hoping that Bill hadn’t seen him blushing.
Bill stepped away, and moved to open a cabinet above the messy counters. “I know what’ll cheer you up, dude!” He pulled a can of cocoa powder out of the cabinet. “Hot chocolate!” He set it down, and grabbed two cups. “Remember when we used to have contests to see who could drink the most?”
Ted remembered their feats of strength from when they were no more than nine or ten. “Yeah. Those usually ended with both of us hurling.”
“True, my most esteemed colleague, but this time, we will regulate ourselves.” He filled the kettle and set it on the stove. In just a few minutes, the water was boiling, and Bill mixed the powder, water, and milk in the mugs, before setting them down on the table. “Bone apple tea,”
“Thanks, dude.” Ted said, picking up the cup and taking a sip. It was, well, hot chocolaty. “Most flavorsome, my friend.” He said, quickly chugging the rest of the drink.
“Dude! You’re supposed to savor it.” Ted looked to see that Bill had barely even sipped his cocoa.
“Sorry,” Ted smiled apologetically. “I guess my old habits got the best of me.”
Bill shook his head, but Ted could see the hint of a smile on his lips. “Now I’m going to drink mine as slow as I possibly can to make you pay.”
“Bill,” Ted groaned, “Why must you torture me like this?”
After an agonizing ten minutes of Bill drinking his cocoa sip by sip, the cup was finally empty. “Do you see the errors of your ways now?”
“Sure, sure,” Ted said, grabbing the cup and putting in in the sink. He’d wasted enough time already. Now, it was time to get rocking. “C’mon, dude!” Barely realizing what he was doing, Ted grabbed Bill’s hand, and dragged him out of the kitchen and to the side door to the garage.
Okay. This was new. He was holding his best friend’s hand. It was casual, and Bill had hardly noticed. Ted couldn’t let go of his hand, or it would seem like Ted knew it was weird, which would make it even stranger that he had held it in the first place. But every second he held onto it, it made his heart beat faster and faster. He hoped that Bill wasn’t freaked out by the sudden, unexpected hand-holding.
“Ted?” Bill was looking at him, confusion in his blue-green eyes. “You okay, dude?”
Ted snapped out of his jumbled thoughts, and realized that they were already in the garage, standing there, holding hands. “Yeah, I, uh-” He quickly let go of Bill’s hand, shoving his hands in his pockets instead. “Sorry. I was just spacing out.”
Bill frowned. “Okay…” Thank god, Bill hadn’t totally freaked out at what had just happened.
Ted was reaching to pick up his (well, Bill’s) Fender when-
“Ted!” Bill yelled. “It’s snowing!”
“What?” Ted turned to see that, sure enough, through the small glass panes on the garage door, there were tiny white dots floating down against a light gray sky. “No way!”
“Yes way, Ted!” Bill slid the garage door open, and they two boys rushed out to see the snowflakes falling around them. It was light, and the snow seemed to be melting as soon as they touched the ground.
The two of them stayed staring at the sky as the snow continued. Ted stuck out his tongue, struggling to catch a snowflake on it. After a moment of trying, he managed to get one. “Dude! These just taste like water!” He said, turning to Bill.
“What did you think? They’re made of water.” Bill smiled at his friend.
“I dunno.” Ted caught another one. “I kind of thought they’d taste like peppermint.”
The wind picked up, and Ted shivered. No wonder it was snowing. This was the coldest that San Dimas had ever been.
“Woah, it’s freezing.” He said, rubbing his hands together to generate warmth.
“Give me your hands,” Bill said, reaching out to Ted.
Ted chucked awkwardly. “Uh, what?”
“It’ll keep us both warm. Like how penguins huddle and stuff.”
That makes sense enough, Ted reasoned. He held out his hands, and Bill took them. It was nice. Warm. He liked it. The wind stirred up dead leaves around their feet as the snow dampened Ted’s hair. It wasn’t a winter wonderland, but it was close enough.
Bill shifted a bit, and moved his hand so that their fingers were intertwined. But Ted didn’t question it. Even though this was new, it already felt normal, like the two friends had been doing it for years.
Still, Ted couldn’t get his mind off of Bill as they stood in the falling snow. Bill’s cheeks were rosy, flushed from the cold temperatures, and his eyes were bright, fixed on the sky above. Ted couldn’t help notice the way that a few stray snowflakes lay on his blonde curls and the way that his soft pink lips were parted just enough to see his almost perfectly white teeth. Ted wondered if Bill’s lips needed warming up, too.
Bill looked over to him, catching him as he stared. “What is it, dude?”
Ted glanced down, face flushed as he averted Bill’s gaze. He really shouldn’t have been staring like that. “Nothing.” He said, shaking his head.
“Dude,” Ted looked back to see that Bill was looking him right in the eye. Bill’s eyes moved down, trailing until he was looking at Ted’s lips.
Ted could feel his cheeks heat up as his friend let go of his right hand. God, he had just majorly screwed up! He was about to apologize to Bill when he felt a warm hand move to his cheek. Ted looked to see that Bill was reaching up to cup his face as his other hand moved to Ted’s back. Ted kept his eyes locked on Bill as the boy closed his eyes and leaned in.
His eyes fluttered closed as Bill’s lips met his, warmth spreading from his head to his toes. Ted moved his hands from his sides to rest on Bill’s waist as he held his friend closer to him. He could feel the snowflakes melt on his skin as they stood there, taking in the feeling of each other together like that, while the wind ruffled Ted’s hair.
After a moment, they both were out of breath. Ted opened his eyes as he broke the kiss. He looked into Bill’s eyes, which were wide in amazement, as they both broke out into laughter.
“Woah,” Was all Ted could manage as he broke out into a goofy grin.
Bill nodded, smiling just as wide as him. “Yeah, woah.”
Ted felt his heart swell as Bill leaned in again, this time much quicker, and held Ted’s face in his hands. When they broke apart again, it had stopped snowing. Ted couldn’t care less. Because in that moment, he only had one thing on his mind. Bill.
That day, in late December, in a town called San Dimas, something miraculous happened. Most people considered the miraculous thing to be a small snow flurry, the first in years, that had lasted only minutes.
But for two Californian valley boys named Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esquire, the real wonder wasn’t the snowfall, but what had happened during that snowfall.
What had happened wasn’t just miraculous.
It was, as the two of them would say, excellent.

“Don’t sit near to him!!!!!”
You sighed at the umpteenth call of your brother, giving him your worst sharp gaze, a look that could kill you in an instant. Jeongguk shrugged his shoulders, without being minimally affected by the anger he could see in your eyes, grasping your wrist and dragging you away.
He made you sat at his side and watched his bandmates, who sighed and lowered his gaze on his plate, starting to eat in an absolute silence.
The anger of that scene grew slowly within you so that just sitting next to your brother, you squeezed his thigh with all your strength with the intent of hurting him. And his jump and that little groan of pain, an almost useless attempt to conceal how badly he felt, were the greatest satisfaction for you.
“Can you stop? You’re behaving like a little boy. ”
“Shut up and talk to me in the most appropriate way!” He hissed in your ear and you turned your eyes to heaven, feeling the annoying sensation of his arm around your shoulders.
Jeon Jeongguk did not have the slightest idea of when to stop. He never learned it, at least not when you were part of the problem.
Being the little sister of Jeongguk, the Golden Maknae, the guy capable of doing everything (except standing on a mattress in the middle of a pool and talking to the girls), was always your biggest problem.
You could not deny that you loved your brother madly, also because you had only two years of difference and you were incredibly alike. Except on competitiveness, on that, you were quiet while he was taking everything as if it were a challenge.
And when he had decided to embark on the career of a K-pop idols, you were the first to support him every single time. To every audition, to every refusal, and when they finally called him from eight agencies, you were the only one who said him that you preferred a small agency rather than the Giants such as SM or JYP.
He had decided for Big Hit, because of the presence of a rapper named Namjoon in the same agency, but you were more than happy with that choice. Despite the hardships, the fatigue, the extenuate training hours, seeing your brother chasing his dream was something pleasant, it made you happy.
The problems were born after when he had debuted and he had become the national Jungkook. The Maknae of BTS, one of the most beloved groups in recent years.
And he had become incredibly, and perhaps in a way too oppressive, protective toward you. On one hand, you could understand it, he was afraid that they could use you to get to him, but you were too clever to fall for such tricks.
And the day you met Kim Taehyung his protection had reached incredible levels, verging sometimes even the ridicule side. You had never understood the reason for that attitude, but the protective older brother did not perfectly suit with Jungkook.
The silence fell into the room, while Jimin’s amused smile made you, even more, anger because they knew. They knew what was hiding behind your brother’s behavior but they did not want to tell you anything.
The clouds of smoke for too much anger came out of your ears, while you were forcefully biting your lower lip until it bleeds slightly. What made you angrier was the unhappy gaze drawn on the delicate and perfect lines of Taehyung.
You’d want to tell him something, reassure him that whatever the reason for this behavior you would have discovered it as soon as possible, you would have liked to be able to smile at him freely.
“I’m tired of this behavior, Jeongguk.” You hissed with grudges, trying to free you from his grip; “Can you explain to me why every time Taehyung is in the same room, you become a hysterical moody boy?”
“Think of your own business and I’m an Oppa for you!”
“You don’t look like a big brother when you’re acting like this.” You remarked and he engrossed the blow, crossing the gaze of his best friend.
There was an exchange of silent words between them, which you craved to understand. Hoseok gently patted on your shoulders and you could somehow calm your tense nerves, so you would get up by abandoning the place next to your brother and follow the boy, curious to know what he wanted to tell you.
“What’s going on, Hoseok Oppa?”
“I want to give you a little clue why your brother behaves like this.”
Your eyes lighted up to that phrase and immediately you threw your arms around his neck, hugging him into one of your famous bear hugs. Forcefully you hugged him, provoking his laughter and immediately his arms were wrapped around your waist
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.” You murmured in his ear, causing yet another excess of giggles.
“Then my clue is..”
You walked away slightly, loosening the embrace and eagerly waiting for the information you craved so much.
“Hoseok, you’re making me old!” You swear in a low voice, looking behind you to see if your brother was coming for you.
“My clue is that one of us might have a little crush on you.”
Your eyes were wide open, while your heart began to beat slightly faster than normal. You never thought that your brother’s hyper-protection was the consequence of his bandmates with a crush on you.
and immediately that rectangular smile, full of joy and incredibly contagious gave you the answer. You knew who had a crush on you and the incredible thing was that you had just confirmed that for once, in all your miseries 18 years of life, someone reciprocated your feelings.
“Thanks, Hoseok oppa! You’re the best! ” and hopping you came back from the rest of the group, sitting next to Jungkook who watched you curiously. You ignored his gaze and bent your head back to focus on the math book you were trying to study.
“Y/n??”
“Hmm?”
“Something wrong?”
Jungkook could be an annoying person, but he would never ignore your mood changes. You just did not know how to confess that you liked Taehyung, especially not in front of the direct interested.
Lightly you would pass your hand through your hair, trying to fix them behind your ears with no results and he began to caress your back with small movements of his hand, waiting patiently for your explanation.
“I have only problems with math and for sure you can’t help me.”
Again the silence fell into the living room because you had just silenced your brother in the meanest way you could think. But in your heart, you knew that he deserved it, for having kept you away from Taehyung for all those months.
“What a sweetness.”
“Sorry, I’m just stressed.” You’d be sorry without looking away from your book. He snorted and rose from your side, leaving the living room and going to close in his own room.
“Jeongguk!”
You would not give him five seconds of advantage, while the others started giggling for the dynamics of the Jeon duo. With a sigh, a sigh almost suffered because you knew what was waiting for you, you entered his room and you would raise your eyes to heaven in seeing the pout that he had put up in those moments.
Typical of Jeon Jeongguk, so you sat on the other side of the bed and watched him carefully.
A silent battle began between you two, but you certainly would not have succumbed; Not that time, not for something so important.
“There is something that you’re hiding me, Y/N.”
“I like Taehyung.” You said straight without wasting any words, while his skin whitened and his mouth was wide open, without letting out any sound. He was upset, his lines were worthy of his best memes, and you had to keep from bursting to laugh at him into his face.
“What.. What did you just say? ”
“You heard, Kook. I like Taehyung. ”
Again he moved his mouth in search of saying something clever, but nothing came out of the sharp line he had created with his own mouth. You arching your eyebrow, waiting quietly but your brother seemed more upset every second that passed.
“You’re going to feel sick?”
“Maybe, my heart is going at an abnormal pace Y/N.”
“You’re going to have a heart attack, good death.” You whispered with an amused tone, giving him a little pat on his shoulder while his gaze became even more upset; “I swear that I’ll arrange a funeral worthy of your name.”
“How dare you!”
“I’m daring because you deserve to be beaten to death!”
He silenced himself to that phrase while you get up from your little space on the bed, starting to walk back and forth to the room that he shared with Jimin and Hoseok.
He remained silent, curling up in his space, knowing that he should act differently; you continued to walk back and forth, trying to figure out what to tell him.
“Why? You knew Taehyung had a crush on me and you didn’t tell me anything. ”
“You’re my sister.”
“And what does the hell this mean??”
“You deserve the best.” He whispered avoiding to look at you and you knew that he was lying. You sat down again and raised his face putting two fingers under his chin, looking at him with intensity in his eyes.
Those eyes so dark and intense that made you understand why his fans went crazy for his gaze.
“Liar.”
“Taehyung is my best friend, I’m just afraid he’ll take you away from me.”
His confession shook your heart, you felt it crushed in your bosom for the too much tenderness that he had poured into every single word. Without saying anything, you surrounded his neck with your arms and attracted him to you, hiding your face against his chest. His scent attacked your nostrils, remembering you those days hidden in his bedroom in Busan.
He sighed, reciprocating immediately the hug and resting his chin on your nape, exactly into your hair.
“Are you afraid that I will give more attentions to Taehyung rather than to my incredible, beautiful, perfect and talented older brother?”
“He’s a good guy and he really likes you, I know he just wants to make you happy.. And nothing, I’m scared. ”
It was strange to hear Jungkook that he was afraid, he did not like to show his weak side and above all, he did not love to show that he was human. He preferred to be labeled as the Golden Maknae, rather than show his weaknesses.
“You know, we were always together, you and me.. and know that.. I mean you have a near to be boyfr–”
“It’s not true that I’ll be his girlfriend. I mean, he hasn’t confessed anything yet. ”
“Idiot, as soon as we get out of this room he will do.. Also for this, I was so overprotective before.. I was trying to postpone the inevitable. ” He admitted with a thread of voice, tightening more the grip around your waist so that your bodies adhered perfectly to each other.
There was a sense of home and protection in that embrace that gave you the peace of mind to be able to calm your brother too, so with a huge smile you moved away and cupped his face into your hands. Sometimes you were surprised that he was the older between you two.
“Jeongguk, you are my brother. No boy, no relationship can ever change the fact that you are part of me and you will be forever. ”
“You’re so fricking cheesy.”
“Don’t make me regret it.” You pinched his cheek forcefully, pulling him out a little scream full of grief while you got up and headed for the room door.
Before you go out, you rest your hand on the handle and turn towards him, but without ceasing to smile in spite of his absolute hatred gaze.
“What??” He asked, coming back to pout like a few minutes earlier.
“I’m lucky to have you, Kook. Because in spite of all you remain the best brother in the world. ”

Golden Flower episode 82
She wished she could stop. The image of his arms being held made her blood boil and evaporate through the membranes of her cells. Her breath became irregular and ominously faster than before and the forehead wrinkles got stayed prominent for a good while. “Acha apu, i have a few friends of mine who asked us to join them. Please come with me? I hope that's okay with you?” Eera only hoped she’d agree even though she had all the rights to say no. Thankfully she didn't. In no time they were standing in front of their own door with Shama holding on to the key card, ready to get in. “I'm just gonna give them a warning that we’re coming over” Eera put her hand over the mic of the phone and leaned towards shama. “Wait, didn't they already invite us?” Shama wondered why it was necessary to throw a warning. “Because they're boys” Eera cheekily smiled and patiently waited for Minhyuk to pick up. Just when she’d rolled her eyes for the infinith time this day and decided to text him, the other end responded. “Eera! What's up?!” Minhyuk spoke so brightly. Was that even possible for someone to speak brightly? Even if it wasn't, it made sense for his case. “Hey, so i was thinking of coming over to you guys, i have a friend with me too” “Yeah by all means, do join us. We’re kind of bored.. Except shownu hyung. He's dancing but I'll tell him to stop” Eera laughed out which she thought wasn't possible anytime soon given what she just came out of. “Okay we’re coming”. She hung up and turned to Shama. “I'll just grab a few things and change my shoes if that's okay?” “Yeah it's fine, no problem at all” Both of them entered their room first, in Eera’s case, to get things sorted out. Her head was everywhere and she tried not to collapse. “I have the biggest event ahead of me tomorrow, i can't let that ass ruin anything for me. I didn't let boys bother me all my life, i won't make an exception now either” She looked at the squeaky clean mirror after washing her face and drying with a snow-white towel. After she came out, she was determined than before. She knew it took her a lot to reach where she is now, there was no way she'd let it slide. She felt calmer and decided to focus on what's important and ignore the rest of the aspects that kept bothering her. She changed into comfy slippers from her fur boots, patted moisturizer on her face and applied pink tinted lipbalm. Shama was a little taken aback on how relaxed her getup became, even though she was going to hangout with an idol group. Shama knew that moment that she must be really close to the boys to be so comfortable with them. As soon as Eera put her hair up with a bun-rubberband, they left the room and marched towards their neighbor. As they entered the room, Eera found the boys as usual. It's almost like she knew what to expect. Hoseok was on his Mac book, changkhyun and jooheon were watching videos on YouTube. Kihyun looked like he took a shower, Shownu just lay there on the same bed as joo and changkhyun, and minhyuk and Hyungwon was on the other bed lying down, looking over order-in menus. “Seriously guys...” Eera chuckled but before she could say anything, she felt a hug approach her immediately from a small person. “Oh we've missed you..” Kihyun said after parting from his hug. “Missed me?” She hit him after the words dropped from her mouth. “Didn’t bother to drop by once after i left did you?” “We got busy and you were busy with work too, c'mon” “Yeah, don't blame it all on us” Hyungwon got up with a shining smile and changed bed to sit with Shownu, who’d now gotten up to make more space for everyone. “Yeah alright well, we all got busy.” She retreated, knowing there was no way she'd could’ve won an argument with these boys. “How are you now?” Jooheon stepped forward to hug her warmly. “Not good, you guys aren't there” She parted to hug Changkhyun who was almost waiting in line to hug his favorite noona. “I missed you so much noona” “Aww baby i missed you too” She patted his head affectionately. “Will we ever get a hug? It's like the maknae line gets the privilege” Minhyuk complained and pouted at the corner. Eera scoffed at him reached out to hyungwon and Shownu for a hug. “Have you been taking care of yourself?” Shownu asked gently after parting. “I'm trying to oppa” Minhyuk seemed offended for not getting the hug, almost beat himself for not putting himself first here. “Anyways guys, this is my friend from Sm and also my roommate, Shama. She's my unnie and she's a noona to most of you so treat her well” “Yeah we have already met” Jooheon cried out. Eera looked back at Shama and she just nodded at her “Yeah, we did” Her gaze shifted at Jooheon giving him a warm smile. Eera didn't bother asking how since they were literally neighbors and not running into one another would’ve been abnormal to say the least. Shama stood there all this time and watched how family like they were to Eera. She loved the air of the room, it was filled with so much love and affection. And these were idols to begin with. All the boys greeted her warmly and Hoseok got up to make space for both the girls to sit comfortably, even gave them pillows to use as armrests. “We ordered pizza and also Chinese food, hope you both are okay with it?” Hoseok looked at both of them with sparkly eyes as he sat in place of jooheon, who had now gotten up to sit beside Shama with Changkhyun and kihyun. “Yeah you'll have dinner with us tonight and it'll be here any minute now” Kihyun said as he wrote something down on his ipad and then shut it to put it aside. Eera knew he was writing or maybe tweaking to his lyrics. He writes a lot. “I'm cool with anything” She looked back at Shama and asked her if there's anything else she preferred. Shama nodded, and Eera noticed how down she was. Honestly, given the circumstances they'd witnessed just then, her feeling like this was pretty normal and Eera understood that very much. “Guys guys guys! Now Eera is working at....” Minhyuk got up suddenly with his one arm lifted in the air about to high five someone. “....SM ENTERTAINMENT” “OHHHHHHHH” A cheer broke out and the boys kept hitting and high fiving one another while Eera just sat there with a face that clearly said she'd rather not be here. Shama giggled from the sidelines, getting where the joke was going. “And CURRENTLY WORKING FOR EXO SUNBAENIM” “OHHHHHHHHH” cheers filled up and Eera just shook her head looking at Minhyuk, clearly she was the only one not enjoying this joke. “We should drink up to this” Shownu suggested and all eyes were on him. “Wait, i think we have dew somewhere here” Hyungwon got up and leaped over people with his long legs to get the dew bottles. Of course, as crazy as these boys were, they actually toasted to Eera's current position and after that, had a good dinner which had arrived shortly after 10mins. They talked for a good while almost for 45 mins, over their new album, how Starship was training them, kihyun complained a dozen about how messy the boys became and according to him, it was increasing “exponentially”. Hoseok whispered to Eera and let her know that he's working on songs and there is a chance starship might let him release those. This session didn't stay personal for long as JOOHEON broke it up and said “Oh we know what hoseok hyung is talking about” to which hoseok replied “it's still a secret”. Shownu let her know that he will be sent to variety shows because according to Hyolin, he needed to open up more. “That will be a great experience for you oppa” Eera brightly let shownu know and also tried to pour in some positivity in him through her uplifting smiling. Amongst all this, Eera noticed how grim Shama's face had become. She’d been like this all day, she enjoyed listening to stories and even talked to some of the boys but Eera knew her mind wasn't here to begin with. Shama finally had to break it out to Eera : “Eera, i am not feeling well, i think I'll go back to The room” Shama cried, her eyes floating in space. “Wait, I'll come with you..” Eera held Shama's hands and looked back at Hoseok and at the boys altogether. “Guys i think we should go now. Long day tomorrow right?” Eera cried out, looking at everyone's faces, trying to reason her statement. “Already? You could stay for longer...” Minhyuk suggested but it almost came out like a whine. “You're literally next door”. “No, i think you guys should rest up too. We have to wake up early tomorrow so yeah..” The boys understood her very well and didn't force any further. They knew that the management had to stay ready from before the idols reached the venue. Changkhyun gave Eera an affectionate hug and asked her to cheer for them tomorrow to which, Eera gladly agreed “You idiot, i will always scream for boys at the top of my lungs”. The girls said their farewells to the guys where they kept saying to cheer for them. As soon Eera closed the door behind her, she felt the void again. She felt the weight hit her and tried her best not to think about it. The walk to her room was slow even though it was right there. She kept looking down and tracing Shama's steps but it almost felt like the time was slower. “i can't think of that. I can't” She insisted herself.
