Beep beep portrayal talk! I love the use of cultural references in your work with your OCs and how their cultural background informs much of their portrayal and how regional differences are taken into consideration. I also do love the use of feminism and shifting attitudes about women in particular with Tsuyuko’s narrative and how time alters the way in which she is perceived, but does not negate the forms of discrimination she experienced in the past and that they are still carried with her.

Personally I think one of the joys of rp for me is when we get to dissect cultural significance and how it ties in to how people perceive my muses and how my muses also perceive the world surrounding them. Growing up as an Asian in a fairly conservative environment that upholds religion and tradition over virtually almost everything, female hysteria and feminism in general are somewhat of a divisive topic among the people to be discussed so openly when everything is always black and white, so writing it through a fictional medium is likely the safest form of analysis and dissection without having to actually delve into the actual discourse itself... because who wants to get into discourse among the many echo chambers in social media tbh? Absolutely not me.

And of course, everyone already knows this, but I'm a huge research nerd and it's one of my passion in writing! I want to be respectful from the cultural source where I take my portrayals from, so I always try to make it closer to reality, while invoking and subverting tropes at the same time. I know ultimately roleplaying is just a hobby, but it's never bad to expand your knowledge on certain topics you're deeply interested in. In fact, professional writers should take more note of that because if hobbyists can be passionate about their research to make it as respectful and accurate as possible in their make-believe writing of a fictional character, then pro writers with officially published works should be able to abide to the same standards.
