#my biggest gripe is probably match length

The fun thing about classic game inspired online games like Quake Champions is that there's a ton of little quality of life improvements you could make without having to do any major reprogramming that would massively improve the player experience and make it way easier for new players to get into the game and if you try to implement a single one of them, the fan base will skin you alive.
#I'm not saying it needs to be a clone of every other arena shooter game out there#but there's just stuff that is pointlessly aggravating#my biggest gripe is probably match length#your timer shouldn't be your failsafe to end a round#the point count should#because of the idea is 'the timer will make sure the game ends even if the point cap isn't reached'#then by and large the only matches lasting the full ten minutes are slogs

u know my biggest gripe with reboot mw3?? the fact that both shepherd AND graves came back for literally no reason... the "jokes on you... i was never there to begin with!!!" trope they pulled with graves is already annoying but then he didn't really do anything LMAO (the most he did was create tension between farah and price and they didn't delve into that like at all other than one conversation that lasted all of three minutes if that)
at least shepherd had potential to be an interesting party in this game but then again they goofed up his part in the story too because he isn't integrated into anything worthwhile
just. man. they goofed this story up HARD there was so much potential for the story to be good but then they shoved three games worth of story into a 3 hour campaign
Yeah Graves and Shepherd were dummy grenades at best. Neither of them paid off as secondary antagonists. This game desperately needed to be two separate games, each twice the length, in which first Shepherd and the Shadows could be dealt with and then Makarov and the Ultranationalists.
IF I were rewriting mw3. Which I am not. But IF.
Makarov would show up once or twice as a prison transfer of some sort at most, MAYBE with a flashback mission to demonstrate what he was capable of at the height of his power. He was not alluded to enough in mw2 to present a credible threat—the reboot relies far too much on the original trilogy to foreshadow its plot. Why the fuck should I care about this squirrely frat bro I've never heard of? I know fuck all about the OG Makarov and I am not going to waste more of my precious time on this green earth watching three more games stuffed even more full of anti-Arab prejudice and pro-US imperialist propaganda.
I digress. Makarov's face would be shown in my mw3, but he would not be as active as he is in "canon". Instead, Shadow company, Graves, and Shepherd would take center stage as antagonists—I would utilize their alliance with the ULF to heighten the tension between Price and Farah. Shadow company would be taking advantage of the ULF's need for its support, perhaps, and meanwhile antagonizing Russian outfits on the outskirts of Urzikstan which are meant to serve as either surveillance or reconnaissance for a second invasion.
I imagine, coincidentally, those Russian outfits would be Ultranationalist in nature, because as mw3 suggests, Makarov has been scheming even in the gulag. Graves, of course, is poking the bear because war is good business for him. An Urzikstan at peace does not need a PMC for an ally. Shepherd will have been allowing it because, as has been established in 2 and 3, he's a glory-obsessed war dog whose primary priority is his own military legacy.
Interspersed would be plenty of moments for the characters to comment on what the hell is going on. Farah could reckon with Price's grudge against Graves. Gaz could further develop as Price's right hand man. Soap and Ghost could make out nasty style with tongue. Alex could continue to be the simp we all know he is. (I'd love to shoehorn Alejandro and Rudy into the plot but let's be honest, there's no room for them here. RIP vaqueros, we love you.)
All of this would CULMINATE with Makarov's escape from prison. Probably after Soap finally gets to set Graves on fire for real he would roll up with his hundred dollar haircut, call everyone stupid, and then Urzikstan would go right back to war because that's how this shit works. Russia and the US get into constant pissing matches and the Middle East serves as the convenient battleground.
All of the antagonizing Graves and Shadow Company have done would serve to galvanize a Russian public against the US, positioning Makarov as its very own Churchill and imbuing him with phenomenal cosmic power. Bada bing, bada boom, WWIII. Perfect scene-setting for MW4.
I maintain that if anyone has to die it will be Price. Price is the only one with the charisma to go toe-to-toe with Makarov from a leadership standpoint, so he has to go if we really want the stakes to feel high. In the VERY end, after 4 and whatever games follow it, Gaz would be the only man left standing of the 141. Having finally learned the kind of price that must be paid when the gloves come off.
Again. Blizzard-Activision. Pay me eight billion dollars and I will fix your games.
#answered#teehee this was an ask from my previous live reaction but i saved it for a special occasion

Mugen Musou / Krung Thep ~ Moon Troupe 2019
Over the length of my trip I saw a pretty fair cross section of this show—way back in mid-March pre-Krung Thep changes in Takarazuka; the live viewing of Takarazuka raku with Miya’s sayonara show included; and last week in Tokyo, the first full day of Reiko’s absence with the cast changes in place.
I solidly did not enjoy Mugen Musou. I love Tamaki’s Tsukigumi, I love Miya Rurika and was so glad I had the opportunity to see her last show, and no one’s treatment in Mugen Musou was able to save it for me. I think perhaps if you read and enjoyed the novel, and also love Tsukigumi, there’s a decent chance that you’ll like this. I did not read the novel, and it felt very much like I had to as a prerequisite.
There was an awful lot jammed into an hour and a half. The flow of the show bothered me; there were so many scenes, they changed so quickly, and none of them felt very substantial to me. In Saito-sensei’s attempt to cover as much plot as humanly possible, I think he lost the characters; while I understood generally what was going on, I did not immediately get who many of the characters were, how they knew each other, or why many of them were doing what they were doing.
That provided a poor setup for my biggest gripe: I recognize that I am an American, and I am not necessarily the intended audience, and that this is certainly a big part of Japanese history and culture, but in the year 2019, the whole samurai honor I-must-kill-everyone-just-to-prove-I’m-strongest thing is not very compelling to me. If accompanied by moving character relationships (which, I hear, the novel has in spades), I can definitely give it a pass; but in the absence of onstage character development, that as the standalone force driving the story was simply not interesting or relatable enough to me to be enjoyable.
With a few exceptions—and this probably just goes back to the overall lack of character development—I thought most of the characters were ill fitted to their actresses. I don’t even think anyone did a poor job, everyone really gave it their best effort; my hang up lies entirely with the directorial choices, and I guess the choice of this show in general. I find Tamaki the most charming when she’s fully in wholesome ideal husband mode. I finally watched Elisabeth recently and liked her Tod a lot more than I expected also, so that was a fair out-of-the-box choice for her. The samurai with something to prove for no good reason other than that he’s embarrassed about his dad did not hit me where I want Tamaki to hit me. Otsu is not really presented with much depth; she’s pretty demure, and she spends the whole show waiting around for men to come back to her and gets sad when they break their promises. I was hoping we’d get something that would allow Sakura to show off her strengths a little more in her Grand Theater debut (although she did play the flute for real). I wanted more pining between Otsu and Musashi, but I didn’t really get it, and what there was seemed kind of one-sided on Otsu’s part. Kojiro, too, was one-note; I’m not sure what there was to him other than “the strongest dude” (oh, and he wears a cross, so he’s CHRISTIAN. That’s BACKSTORY). Miya did her damnedest, and she did manage a kind of cold sexy anime boy vibe, but again, especially for her last show, this was just not the kind of character I most enjoy seeing her play, nor did it play to her strengths in my opinion (with truly all the love in my heart for this woman, I have to say she cannot swordplay her way out of a wet paper bag). On my first viewing I thought Ari was the villain, but after the other two I don’t think there even is a villain; Ari seems to be just a stern guy from a dojo (that Musashi passed through when he was weak and thus *had to* defeat in its entirety when he got strong). Again, I don’t really know what his motivation was, and the character didn’t show off any of Ari’s charms, or challenge her in a meaningful way to try something different. Very few other people got roles substantial enough to be worth mentioning.
I DID enjoy some specific things:
Reiko’s character, Matahachi, was my favorite, and her portrayal was my favorite. Matahachi had personality, and amidst all this very serious samurai glory business going on, he had sort of his own contrary subplot that I found much more entertaining. He’s a loyal friend to Musashi, but also lazy, kinda dumb, and utterly useless. He runs away from home with Musashi in the beginning, but while Musashi is off on his quest for ultimate strength, Matahachi pretty much gives up, spends a lot of time sleeping in a brothel, has to do manual labor for 5 minutes and gets tired of it, and eventually happens upon a dying man who is trying to carry some sort of scroll of certification to Kojiro. Matahachi is thrilled at his great fortune; he takes the scroll from the dead guy and uses it to steal Kojiro’s identity, attracting hordes of women and scaring away thugs on his “reputation.” His aging parents WALK OUT OF THEIR TINY HOMETOWN with the purpose of finding him and bringing him home, and successfully find him and embarrass him in front of all his swooning admirers. I saw Oda on the first day she took over this role, and I wish I could have seen her after a little more warmup. She didn’t have the charm that endeared me to Reiko’s Matahachi, but she sure can hold her own with the rest of the upperclassmen in terms of acting and stage presence.
Toki-chan as Akemi, a girl who Sachika’s character took into her brothel and raised, gave me the heart-wrenching yearning I wanted from Musashi and Otsu. In the very first scene after the prologue, Akemi and Musashi are walking and talking (she’s taken a liking to him). Musashi finds a bell on the ground and sticks it into Akemi’s obi. For the remainder of the show, Akemi jingles softly with every appearance and every movement, haunted via sound by the reminder of her unrequited love for Musashi, making all of her longing looks more poignant.
There’s a scene at the end where Musashi sees a ghost/memory of his father (Shimon). Dad is like WHY DID YOU DO ANY OF THIS? and Musashi doesn’t really have an answer. Same, dad.
I loved Krung Thep so much the first time I saw it. Then it went through some changes, and I cooled a little on it, but still thought it was really good overall.
It’s been a 2-act heavy year so far, and Estrellas and Krung Thep (as of me writing this 2 days before Yukigumi shonichi) have been our only revues. I thought that for the most part the music in Krung Thep was beautiful, not really in a jam to the soundtrack way like Estrellas, but in a really nice ambient way; there are a lot of bells and other interesting sounds that we don’t get as frequently. It also has a dazzling gold aesthetic, the kind of spectacle you want as a Takarazuka lover going into a revue.
There were for sure some questionable moments. The boy band number (albeit this time with Sakura at the center of the boys), which, much to my chagrin, seems to have become a revue staple regardless of director, was originally THIS SONG, which I happen to know and love thanks to this Japanese version, so I forgave its presence. This was one of the three numbers that got the axe before filming day, and they replaced it with a synth remix of the Takarazuka classic C’est Magnifique. That rendered it no longer forgivable. The chuuzume was very long and set to Shall we Dance, but like... only the chorus over and over and over and over again with varying flair. It was also turbans doing absolutely nothing to disguise Daisuke’s favorite Latin ruffles, and, if not for the King and I undercurrent, it wouldn’t have fit with the rest of the show whatsoever. A King and I medley maybe would’ve been nice?
Standout numbers:
The first or second number after the prologue (depending on when you think the prologue ends) is a Reiko vs. Ari kickboxing match. It’s hammy and ridiculous and goes on for two whole rounds, which seemed TOO LONG for how awkward it was the first time I saw it... but then when the fight ends, they break into a song about “male friendship” and how they love each other no matter who wins or loses. After that I was stoked, and on subsequent viewings appreciated every detail down to their girlfriends and trainers in the audience.
There’s a beauuuutiful barefoot duet dance between Tamaki and Miya
Mayupon in drag singing in at least 3 octaves flawlessly. There’s an alternate timeline, perhaps a brighter one, where I’m just in Mayupon’s club
Admittedly one of my least favorite revue tropes where there’s a nightclub and a girl and a terrible boyfriend and a new guy who shows up and someone gets jealous and has a gun and the wrong person always dies... but this time Ari is in hotpants
The Grand Hotel numbers in the sayonara show are probably too tough a contender, but the Krung Thep kuroenbi is not only great (messy tailcoats with rolled sleeves, mmmmm) but also almost the best little taidan gift for Miya in the whole thing. I don’t know how they’re going to splice the frames together for the DVD, but it opens with Miya singing a solo, and then she goes down into the floor as the kuroenbi is starting (making it look like she won’t even be in it). The rest of the otokoyaku dance a bit, then Miya comes back up out of the floor dressed to match, and everyone else hits one of those sexy lunges in formation, and then they all turn their heads to look at her in unison. Ugh.
I’m gonna miss Miya!!!!! And I hope Reiko is doing ok.

SW: The Last Jedi Full Spoiler Review
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a visual masterpiece. From the jaw-dropping setpieces to the minute details, TLJ goes full throttle and knocks it out of the park. Unfortunately, when viewed as the middle film of the new trilogy, a bridge between the setup and the finale, TLJ falls short in a few areas. These few shortcomings (along with a few personal grievances) is what holds TLJ back from being a fantastic movie.
I know plot holes and handwaving are extremely common in movies, and Star War films at that, but The Last Jedi has some of the biggest holes and handwaves I have seen. The murder of Supreme Leader Snoke was something that felt completely out of left field and when it first happened, I honestly wondered who the main antagonist was going to be for the last film, as one just died and the other apparently became a good guy. But when Kylo did his immediate heel-turn I felt even more unfulfilled as I felt Snoke’s death was for basically nothing and we never learned about the guy at all. Another major problem I had was with the hacker character. After Finn and Rose failed to contact their original target who wore the flower pin, they find this drunk guy who apparently is an expert cracker. My initial thoughts were that HE was the original target but lost the pin in a betting match or something, but that question is never answered or even hinted at. Then near the end of the film, when DJ betrayed them, he just… vanished. Gone, without a trace. It was so weird to having disappear so quickly right before the ship starts to explode, that I know we are going to see him again. But it felt like his purpose was just to advance the plot two separate times instead of being an actual interesting character.
Character Development in this film was a mix bag for me. Clear winners were Poe and Rey, and what seemed like losers were Kylo, Phasma (who I will talk at length about later), and unfortunately Rose Tico. Rose Tico I felt was such a strong and invigorating character through basically all of the film; her drive was relatable and her thoughts and actions were a fresh addition to the already stellar leading stars. My only gripe with her was her last second kiss with Finn, moments before she fell unconscious (I actually believed that they killed her off the first time I saw the scene and was confused and angry at it). While Rose did spend a lot of time with Finn in the movie and did regard him as a hero, I never saw before that any hinting or pinning for a relationship during any of their interactions together. My surprised mirrored that of Finn’s and I heavily believe that the kiss was a last minute addition to the script. It almost felt like something along the lines of “I don’t want to die without kissing a booooyyyyy” and felt extremely weak (Nothing against the actors however, this is 100% a writer gripe). Kylo was another loser in this department because I have no idea what path the development was headed. His interactions in the mindscape with Rey were interesting and provided character building for both of them, but at the climax where Kylo killed Snoke I saw the messiest transition of character. Kylo, who over the past two films have been shown to be a heel most of the time, with only showing signs of good in front of loved ones (Mom/Dad) and during the later conversations with Rey, finally took the apparent leap and killed the main big bad and had a face-turn. But not even 5 minutes of fighting off other baddies and having each other’s back, Kylo immediately heel-turns and decides to stay evil, even begging Rey to “join him”. This was such a messy exchange that I don’t even know what to think about him anymore. After murdering Han Solo in the first film, I was sure that Kylo Ren was going to be an interesting antagonist, but now I mainly feel confused about his character.
This movie is goddamn gorgeous and innovative. Even the Porgs, who I originally thought were just a cutesy addition for no reason, became impressive to me once I learned that they were created as a CG coverup because the cameramen could not shoot any scenes on Luke’s hermit planet without puffins, who were native to the island, being in the shot (I still don’t like how much screen time Porgs get). The inside of the different ships. Crait, Canto Bight, and Ahch-To were all so beautiful and detail oriented. The set pieces themselves were works of art: The self-sacrifice jump to lightspeed made by the Vice Admiral was something that made me audibly gasp, and the apparent death of General Leia was something that got me so emotional (seeing her drowned in light as a nod to her own obituary joke was truly something). It was apparent to me that the Star Wars universe was something extremely important to the artists and director, and is something that makes this movie truly special.
The biggest problem for me wasn’t the plot holes or the handwaved scenes that ultimately felt unfulfilling. The biggest problem with The Last Jedi was how the movie handled itself. There was almost an oversaturation of comedy where it wasn’t needed that I almost felt like I was watching an Avengers movie (Another Disney property). There were a few times where the joke or gag really nailed what it was trying to do, but most of the time felt forced and ultimately lowered the importance of the scene. Luke brushing off his shoulder at the end, Kylo and his pants-only talk with Rey, most of the scenes with the Porgs, Luke milking some strange creature for a gross-out sight gag, the entirety of Yoda’s appearance : All of these don’t really do much for the plot and only exist (in my opinion) to go for the quirky jokes and gags that now the Avengers movies are infamous for. It makes the film feel disingenuous during those moments, especially when the overarching conflict is the seemingly futile escape from the First Order. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want any sort of comedy or relief in these films: Poe’s call with Hux in the beginning of the film and C3PO and BB8 interactions were all golden and I really enjoyed them.
And now as I reach the end of this review, I can finally talk about some personal gripes about the film. While I only have one to talk extensively about, it is a big one for me, yet I do not feel others would care so strongly about it as I do. Rian Johnson… Buddy, Pal, Amigo…. You wasted CAPTAIN PHASMA’S POTIENTIAL! IT WAS WASTED IN THE FORCE AWAKENS AND I BELIEVED THAT SHE WOULD FINALLY HAVE A MAJOR ROLE IN THIS ONE, BUT NO SHE IS BARELY SEEN AT ALL THROUGH THE WHOLE DAMN FILM AND THEN GETS A LITTLE FIGHT WITH FINN (I did like her damaged helmet at the end though). But then YOU JUST THREW HER AWAY AGAIN BY HAVING HER FALL INTO A PIT. WASTED CHARACTER WASTED DESIGN WASTED ACTRESS WASTED!!!! I am going stand by what I said to my friends right after the film and I will stand by it until the last movie releases. PHASMA IS NOT DEAD SHE WILL BE BACK I SWEAR SHE WILL AND THEN SHE WILL FINALLY HAVE SOME CHARACTER SOME PLOT RELATED TO HER SHE WONT DISAPEAR UNTIL SHE DIES A WARRIOR’S DEATH!!
All in all, I really enjoyed The Last Jedi. I’ve seen it twice, and if one of my friends invites me to see it again, I will probably agree. But TLJ is definitely the weakest film out of the new movies that have come out, and perhaps it only feels so mediocre because it came right after Rogue One, my personal favorite one (out of the new films). To me, Star War films are kinda like pizza. And while this pizza might not be as good as my favorite pizzas, it is still a pizza and is generally enjoyable to eat. It is just with the higher standards that Star Wars is usually put to, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed.
7/10
#reviews#my stuff#saltyreviews#star wars#sw#the last jedi#I didnt really talk about Reylo because most of yall know my position on it#also it looked like Reylo was fucking deader than dirt at the end when she shut the door on Kylo#And i told myself i was going to let myself be opinionated on one topic#and i chose captain phasma for that#the love of my life#they dont appreaciate you like i do

What’s inside my makeup bag (cruelty-free)
I recently did a poll on my Insta Stories to see if you would be interested in a “what’s inside my makeup bag” post, and 95% of you said “heck yes!!!”, so here it is! Putting this post together has also been a good way of filling the lack of recipe creation lately. I’m currently on an elimination diet to test for allergies (the worst!!) and basically can’t eat anything fun, so there hasn’t been much testing going on over here. It isn’t forever though! I keep telling myself that I will be a normal human being again someday, hah. But I’m soooo grateful that I’m already seeing improvements in my allergic reactions since cutting out the ingredients that my test found I’m sensitive to. I’ll keep you guys posted if you’re interested.
Read on for the deets on my current go-to makeup products. If you haven’t checked it out yet, be sure to read my Favourite Skin Care Products post too.
Lips:
I’m going to kick this off with my favourite category—lips!
HURRAW! Tinted Lip Balm
Shade: Black Cherry
Cruelty-free, vegan
This tinted balm is perfect for kicking around the house! I love the subtle hint of colour this black cherry hue adds.
Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint
Shade: WCW
Cruelty-free, vegan (Note: Tarte is now owned by a parent company, KOSÉ, which is not cruelty-free.) :(
One of my fave lip gloss colours of all time. *heart eyes for berry tones* Biggest gripe? The tube is messy and lip gloss always explodes out the sides when I close it.
Couleur Caramel Lip Gloss
Shade: 805 Raspberry Red
Cruelty-free, vegan
This is a close runner-up for my favourite gloss shade. I actually like this one’s ingredients and packaging better than Tarte’s (no explosions!).
Kopari Coconut Lip Glossy
Cruelty-free, vegan
Ohhhhh yeah. You know I’m obsessed with this gloss. I talked about it in my Favourite Skin Care Products post too. I think of it as a 2-in-1 product because it’s a good lip moisturizer when you’re just lounging around the house (a little bit goes a long way), and it works as a fantastic “top coat” on top of lip colour to add a glossy sheen.
Dr. Hauschka Lip Gloss (*new)
Shade: 03 – Blackberry
Cruelty-free
Silky soft and made with mineral-based pigments, this is my newest go-to lip colour! It’s long-lasting and the Blackberry shade (03) is just perfection!
Foundation + concealer:
Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer
Shade: Glow
Cruelty-free
This is a primer, but I use it on top of foundation as a highlighter on my cheekbones, temple area, and bridge of nose. I love how refreshed it makes my skin look even when I haven’t slept much. I tried it as a primer and wasn’t overly wowed, so I prefer to use it on top.
Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation with SPF 20
Shades: LN4 and MN4 (I mix the two shades in the summer)
Cruelty-free, vegan
Oh BOY have I tried out a lot of vegan foundations. So, so many misses. This one was good enough to keep using, so that’s progress! My biggest complaint is the packaging (it’s awful, quite frankly, because it’s hard to get the product out and I’m not a fan of the applicator stick). Their shade selection is also quite limited. I have to mix two shades in the summer to get my perfect match! I also wish the ingredients were more natural, so I guess you could say I’m still on the hunt for my holy grail vegan foundation! This one will definitely do in the meantime.
Physicians Formula Concealer Twins Cream Concealers
Shade: Yellow/Light
Cruelty-free
I don’t use the yellow shade as I find it’s too noticeable on my skin tone, but I do use the light shade for around my eyes. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase this concealer as it’s super light and doesn’t cover that much. I also wish they had more shades!
Blush + brush:
Benecos Natural Powder Blush
Shade: Sassy Salmon
Cruelty-free
I don’t normally go for such a bold blush shade, but I fell in love with this one! It really pops off my cheeks and a little bit goes a long way. It’s my new go-to.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
Shade: Paaarty
Cruelty-free
This blush was sent to me as a free sample from Sephora a year ago, and I used it until every last bit was gone! I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase because I’m loving the Benecos so much.
Tarte Bronze & Glow Double-Ended Contour Brush
I love this double-ended brush. I use the small end for blush and the large end for translucent powder.
You might be wondering…Ange, where is the bronzer? The contour powder?! Lol. I don’t use them because anytime I have tried to apply them I turn out looking like I have dirt on my face. So I just kind of gave up! But this tempting 50% off sale at Sephora is making me want to try the Tartiest PRO Glow Highlighter & Contour Palette!
Eyebrows:
My brows have always been light and pretty much nonexistent (thank you to my dad for those genes!), so if I want to feel put together, I will ALWAYS do my brows. I first use the Benecos pencil to fill in patchy areas, and then I use the Tarte mousse with the bamboo angle brush (which is included!!) to bring it all together. Really love this combo for my brows! So easy, long-lasting, and doesn’t smudge.
Benecos Natural Beauty Eyebrow-Designer
Shade: Blonde
Cruelty-free, vegan
Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse
Shade: Ash Blonde
Cruelty-free, vegan
Eyeshadow + eyeliner:
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio
Shade: Warm Nude
Cruelty-free
I don’t use eyeliner everyday, but I always use it when I’m going out somewhere special, especially in the evening. I love this trio because it comes with black, brown, and bronze shades, which are the ones I normally gravitate toward.
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-In-1 Custom Nude Palette For Face & Eyes
Shade: Natural Nude
Cruelty-free
I love this all-in-1 palette because you can use it as a cheek bronzer, over your eyelids, or anywhere you want a pop of shimmer on your face!
Mascara + eyelash curler:
Pacifica Beauty Stellar Gaze Length & Strength Mascara
Shade: Supernova (black)
Cruelty-free, vegan
I’ve tried out a lot of vegan mascaras and this is my favourite “everyday” mascara that I’ve been using for a few years. It’s light and perfect for daytime, but you can layer it for a slightly more dramatic look too.
My eyelash curler is by Sephora!
Powder + concealer:
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-free Mineral Face Powder
Shade: Translucent Light
Cruelty-free
I have to say, this isn’t my favourite setting powder by any means. In fact, I find it goes on too powdery and I wish it were more dewy, so I use a very light hand when applying it. In the past I would use powder all over my face thinking that I had to get rid of any and all shine, but lately I only use a bit on my nose and a tiny bit on my forehead. I find using less powder really lets my natural (and makeup-accentuated!) glow shine through.
Update: I’ve been using 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Foundation Powder and I quite like it! It is vegan, cruelty-free, and free of 1,000 toxins.
Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer Stick, Light
Shade: Light
Cruelty-free
I use this occasionally if I need to cover a pimple. I think the shade is a bit too light for my skin tone though so I probably won’t repurchase.
PS: My black and gold makeup bag is from Shoppers Drug Mart!

The Samsung XE500C13 Review
The Samsung XE500C13 is a excellent small notebook for the two faculty and enjoyment, particularly for youthful young ones and regular vacationers. This eleven.6-inch notebook don't just features an incredible monitor and nearly 10 several hours of battery lifestyle but also arrives with 4GB of RAM,and that means you can count on reliable performance.Created for the curious people who would like to zip by World-wide-web searching, the new Chromebook passes as what we have usually needed Google to deliver all along; a svelte, very affordable and moveable technique to hop on the net.We have reviewed some before styles that have value upwards of regular laptops, leaving a bitter style amongst a lot of users who have felt ripped off at the limits of Chrome OS.Should you be seeking to carry out a great deal more than surf the world wide web and bask in cloud-based information creation, then this isn't the notebook to suit your needs. But,in case you are searching for an affordable solution with much much better content-creation operation - like,an built-in keyboard - then The Samsung XE500C13 is definitely an desirable solution. It is additionally a great offer msi gt72 2pe accu much less expensive than most Chromebooks we have reviewed, drawing it the closest any Chromebook has come to assembly Google's preliminary target of advertising the Chromebook affordably, than even a smartphone. And since its 32GB of storage is not taken up by Home windows ten, you'll find a lot of onboard storage for the particular data files. With the value,The Samsung XE500C13 is the ideal Chromebook for those on the price range.

The Samsung XE500C13 may well be affordable,as Google expected, however the design and style won't really feel low-priced.Its light-weight plastic development might not be lavish to match the newest crop of ultraportables, but its durable, and its spill-resistant layout will suffice for students medion s2217 oplader and writers alike. The eleven.6-inch exhibit has a similar 1366-by-768 resolution, which is precisely the same seen on both of those MacBook Air as well as Microsoft Floor; whilst you could should limit your side-by-side multitasking, retaining in your mind that Chrome has often favored tabs in any case. This factor stays skinny, extremely skinny nonetheless it packs components similar to a netbook. The truth is usually that it will not really suit into any of such groups fully, however it slices its niche in-between inexpensive and portable laptops. At only 2.five kilos, the Samsung XE500C13 is extremely portable, when providing a big ample display screen and keyboard that you could easily use devoid of feeling hemmed.Despite having the slender construct and entire absence of cooling fans, the system didn't get insanely warm throughout our exams.Over the Samsung XE500C13 is a full-size QWERTY keyboard, although Google have tweaked in a very way that its optimized for that Web-based chrome experience. It does not use a standard keyboard. For example, instead of the Caps Lock key, there is a focused research button, though the F1-F12 keys have already been replaced by Chrome-specific functionality keys. The Delete essential has also vanished, together with the Backspace important now performing double responsibility. As envisioned, the equal of Windows or Apple Secret's absent. The trackpad lg e2242c oplader is simply a single-piece,having a blank confront, which does not consist of the same old right- and left -click buttons, alternatively you've got one particular touchable clickable touchpad that supports one- and two -finger gestures.
Typing over the Samsung XE500C13's spill-resistant keyboard feels relaxed,as its keys are ever-so-slightly curved to fit your fingertips and maintain your fingers oplader asus adp 33aw oriented. The keys are very well sized and choose complete benefit of the width in the device, which happens to be good news for those with even bigger fingers. Both the Samsung XE500C13 plus the Stream eleven have one.two millimeters of important vacation, but it really can take sixty three grams of pressure to actuate a vital over the Samsung XE500C13,as opposed to sixty nine grams over the Stream eleven. When i took the 10FastFingers.com typing examination,I scored seventy six terms per minute having a nine % mistake rate. That's only a contact slower and fewer precise than my usual eighty wpm and seven percent mistake amount on my Microsoft Surface Professional 4's Type Address. My largest gripe together with the Samsung XE500C13's keyboard is its structure.I wish there have been extra length among the facility button along with the relaxation of your keyboard.Mainly because the Backspace secret is just under the facility crucial, you happen to be just an accidental keystroke from unintentionally shutting down the device.I also want the facility vital had an indicator light to enable me know how very long to push the button to turn within the device. At three.9 x 2.two inches, the Samsung XE500C13's touchpad is generous for an 11-inch machine. The material lg pa-1650-64 oplader of your touchpad feels awesome and sleek, like its palm relaxation. It is also extremely delicate,so we propose evenly tapping the surface area to navigate the product.
Features
This Samsung xe500c13 critique highlights essentially the most defining facet: components affordability, the special keyboard, along with the Chrome OS.This unit is designed for internet browsing.Loving the Chrome Web-browser practical experience on other platforms Then this Google's web-centric OS system will blow you absent! It arrives with web-apps which might be built-in with unrivaled offline functionalities. With the reduced still left corner, there's a list of dedicated icons. They consist of Google look for,Gmail,YouTube, and Google Push. It's got simple applications for instance the Chrome file sony acdp 100d01 oplader supervisor, calendar, and calculator among many others.Your peripheral device management encounter is unparalleled: at the time an SD or USB flash drive is plugged in,the content material pops up making it uncomplicated in your case to select the best files.Photos, documents, and documents are opened employing an auto-detected file opener. The ports choice is robust. It will come using an HDMI port, one particular USB 3.0 in addition to a USB two.0 port, headphone accu dell inspiron 17 5767 and microphone jack, digital camera, and card reader. It's built-in 802.11ac WLAN,Bluetooth and LAN connections. Its inside memory is 16GB because it really is cloud-based.When addressing an ultraportable system, ordinarily you would assume to get rid of quite a few capabilities.Obviously there is certainly no space for your DVD push, but by using a Chromebook you just do not will need just one in any case. It's not missing in other connectivity selections and ports having said that, with two USB ports,an SD card slot,an HDMI port, and an audio jack for headphones.Talking of headphones, you are going to unquestionably want to spend money on all those, due to the fact the built-in speakers are quite minimal top quality. That's an additional concession you just have to deal with due for the really lower cost. Not merely would be the speakers of somewhat sub-par good quality normally, but they also facial area downwards and so are positioned about the bottom in the chassis.Meaning you'll get muted audio regardless of whether you established the system over a table or put it with your lap.The place the Chromebook fails oplader microsoft area pro 4 within the audio aspect,it totally excels in terms of battery lifetime, and that is probably the only biggest attract to this funds design.Samsung has the Samsung XE500C13 rated for approximately 11 several hours, but most end users are possible to check out a lot more within the 9 to 10 range. That is however exceptionally remarkable for just a mobile system however, considering the fact that you are able to run this Chromebook all day long devoid of needing to search out an ability outlet. No matter if you utilize it in your house, the office environment,or college, you can rely on this product to keep likely irrespective of how long you might be web searching or utilizing Android apps.Obviously, you furthermore may obtain a regular lenovo u430 accu 720p webcam positioned over the screen. The cam's top quality isn't really going to earn any awards, but it gets the job performed if you prefer to Skype your friends and family over a normal basis.
Performance
The Samsung XE500C13 is driven by an Intel Celeron N3050 processor.Surely not the speediest, this CPU incorporates a clock pace variety between 1.six and 2.fourteen GHz,a cache dimensions of 2 megabytes and two physical cores. If that does not show you significantly, the benchmarks will: the N3050 scores all around 900 factors on cpubenchmark.web.That is a reduced score, there is no way to sugarcoat the actual fact that anything other that some multitasking will prove complicated to take care of.The fact that it operates Chrome OS is undoubtedly a good point, considering that program necessities dell p35e oplader are decreased and the devices are much better optimized for these low-end machines. It is really debatable whether or not the Samsung would have executed better by using a quad core processor in its place of the dual core set up,but since a lot of applications around the Play Store are reasonably perfectly believed out,I believe the difference may possibly also be negligible. As I mentioned before during this overview, the process memory asus a41n1611 accu for this design is rated at 4 gigabytes, which can be a major enhancement with the Chromebooks we are accustomed with, all getting just two gigabytes set up.All the things from world wide web applications to multitasking will operate smoother because from the additional RAM Samsung packed in there.Storage space is proscribed,as I am guaranteed you'd anticipate by now.The device arrives with 16 gigabytes of storage potential, plenty of to carry a good amount of money of information, photographs and whatnot, although not nearly near what anyone may possibly hope to need inside the long haul.Fortunately,Google offers each individual Chromebook with a hundred gigabytes of cost-free cloud storage. The sole downside is needing a web connection in order to upload and entry your documents on-line.Apart from that,I believe it is a very good offer and a reasonable compromise. How precisely is Samsung giving a 4GB program for such a small price tag There are some main trade-offs manufactured to be aware of,since they could make or split your buying conclusion. To start with and most importantly - you can find no contact display functionality along with the screen here. For net searching and emailing that won't make any difference in any way, nonetheless it does lessen the usefulness of some Android apps.In addition to the normal display setup missing a contact selection, this product contains a much, considerably decrease resolution screen compared to the 1920 x 1080 that's getting to be a lot more normal on laptops nowadays. To generally be good,at this display medion s2015 oplader dimensions it won't make substantially of a difference even though. You do not seriously will need a brilliant superior resolution on an eleven inch Chromebook display screen,as that would typically just provide to create more compact text more durable to read through. To get a fundamental website searching device,a 1366 x 768 resolution display just isn't a deal breaker like it would be having a gaming notebook.Even at that reduced resolution, you can expect to however get respectable visuals oplader asus pa 1650 93 when streaming YouTube movies or Netflix exhibits within the 11 inch display.Regardless of the reduced resolution,Samsung managed to provide a drastically brighter exhibit below than you'll find with quite a few other related priced units, and non-black shades specifically really pop.You can find a single odd draw back for your scaled-down Chromebook, having said that. The monitor bezels are shockingly thick to get a product of the size, which additional lessens an currently little viewing spot.
Because The Samsung XE500C13 works by using Chrome OS,there is ample no cost area on its 32GB eMMc flash memory for your information. In contrast to Home windows 10-based techniques using the exact storage potential, the Samsung XE500C13 features above 20GB of free area right from the box, versus the measly nine.68GB readily available within the Lenovo Ideapad 100S-14.While this free house signifies you'll have sufficient area for the hottest OS updates and Chrome apps, you should nevertheless put money into a microSD card or make use of a cloud storage services for example Google Generate to store your photograph or tunes assortment. The underside on the Samsung XE500C13 receives a tad heat. After we streamed a Hd online video for fifteen minutes, its underside arrived at a troubling 105 levels Fahrenheit, which is a substantially better temperature than our 95-degree comfort and ease threshold.Nevertheless,it in no way felt scorching in my lap as a result of the insulating plastic chassis. The touchpad and keyboard had been significantly cooler,at 81 and ninety one levels, respectively.Often, not all college or university techniques that price significantly less have hidden general performance issues. The Samsung XE500C13 is usually a spending plan process that offers the brightest 11.6-inch exhibit in its class, robust functionality with 4GB memory and virtually 10 hours of battery life.It does reduce corners, having said that, like shoddy vital placement toshiba satellite c870 one hundred ninety accu and feeble speakers, and also the regular limits of Chrome OS.In case you actually need Windows and Microsoft Place of work, then, the HP Stream eleven provides much better price. However, if you don't head Chrome OS,this compact Samsung laptop is often a strong alternative, primarily for school learners and anybody who primarily surfs the net.The underside with the Samsung XE500C13 gets a bit warm.Soon after we streamed a Hd online video for 15 minutes, its underside achieved a troubling 105 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a significantly increased temperature than our 95-degree comfort and ease threshold.Nevertheless,it under no circumstances felt very hot in my lap because of the insulating plastic chassis. The touchpad and keyboard were being substantially cooler,at eighty one and 91 degrees, respectively.
Conclusion
The Samsung XE500C13 is overall a greater, more potent device when compared to the former era. It's more cost-effective,much more strength efficient, much more powerful, lighter, thinner and has a new-gen WLAN card.Samsung has finally decided to adhere to just what the Chromebook market desires:affordable, great solutions, especially soon after the popular achievement of Acer's Chromebooks, which had been considerably less costly than Samsung's.I do think this Chromebook is usually a ideal buy for young students, for those who want a backup product acer aspire m5 481tg accu or for many who want an affordable, trustworthy travel companion on which to transfer shots, publish emails, diaries and search the web although to the go.

Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer Stick, Light
Shade: Light
Cruelty-free
I use this occasionally if I need to cover a pimple. I think the shade is a bit too light for my skin tone though so I probably won’t repurchase.
