there is no decoration.    well   -    not from the little stuff they’ve already done come the wintry festival.   but    ———     there is no decoration,   no traditional meal that would’ve been related easily to the celebration hans is certain everybody else is celebrating tonight and tomorrow and    …    hans is awestruck.    he swallows his disbelief almost painfully,    a feeble attempt really to re-connect with reality,   but still finds himself somewhat floating.   floating?   if hans could,  he would’ve shaken his head:   he’s caught so surprise he’s even spluttering nonsense.   how graceful.       ❝    you didn’t have to———    ❞

and just like that,    his eyes turn towards her:    big, green eyes,   wide smiling lips,   and a beaming expression hans knows he would never forget for the rest of his wretched and damned life.   and oh,   how beautiful.    in his heart,  it aches:   she is love,   and thus,   she is everything.     the steps taken towards her before he has her in the air,   clasped by the waist,    and spun around are quick,   but he’s recklessly gentle    ———    or he’s trying to be.    he doesn’t want to hurt her.   but physical contacts are awkward,   and hans is mostly driven to do most purely from instincts.   this time,   it tells him to hug her,   and hug her he does.   

she is warm,   and hans’ chest is trembling.

As the Internet (and Grant) likes to remind me, I turned thirty two today. I was actually pretty scared to wake up this morning - the older I get, the more I feel like society places a ticking time bomb on me to get so much done and shove in my face of my impending mortality. Well, universe, suck it. I’m thirty two and I feel fantastic. I’m a mother with two beautiful children who helped their Daddy make me breakfast and who gave me hand painted cards, I’m a girlfriend to the most amazing, selfless, and compassionate man I know who planned out a whole day AND upcoming weekend for me to feel loved and special and appreciated, and I’m a friend to so many beautiful women and men who went out of their way to shower me with love, praise, and gifts. I could not be more content and in love with the way life has panned out for me after thirty two years. It’s not all sunshine and roses, but it’s pretty damn close to perfection as I’m going to get. Thank you to @theflashgrant for surprising me with a birthday lunch (I’ll dryclean that tear soaked shirt for you) and of course, to @supitskeegs for making me the luckiest and happiest birthday princess in the world. I can’t tag everyone who made this day special for me or I’d never get to sleep but you know who you are.  From the bottom of my heart, I love you and I wouldn’t want anything but the life I live.
