would you like to find out pt. 2 (diabolik lovers modern college au)
pairing: ayato sakamaki x yui komori (feat. kanato and laito)
summary: everything started with a reckless, "I wanna know how it feels like to date."
themes: mostly humor with mentions of nsfw
note: part 1 here
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ayato absentmindedly playing and picking on his food was a rare sight, and it irritated Kanato as it ruins his appetite first thing in the morning. He had been doing it since the whole blonde-dream-girl-he-met-at-a-party-run-off-from-him-the-next-day-after-they-had-sex fiasco. Of course, he endured his brothers teasing him to no end, saying how he got dumped for the first time after a one-night stand (because it was rare; like hello, Ayato Sakamaki, the IT boy of Ryoutei University, the infamous college basketball champion.) It wasn't until the jokes don't sound funny anymore and Ayato wasn't eating takoyaki that Kanato and Laito believed this girl must be some serious shit.
And Kanato, being the prick he is, decided to stab his bacon and eggs so loudly in the morning, uncaring if Laito was staring between his older brothers awkwardly. While the concern was there, Kanato can't help but get irritated at Ayato's constant wistful and hopeless romantic longing.
Ugh. Love and all the neuro-shit.
"U-Umm..." Laito started, feeling Kanato's patience slip away, "Ayato-kun, aren't you going to eat-"
"Let him starve himself over some girl who dumped him," Kanato cut in, the stabbing motions not ceasing anytime soon. How dare he anger him? If that's what he wants, then that's what he'll get.
But Ayato was stubborn. Laito gulped nervously at that.
Oh, no.
Kanato slammed his fists on the table. "Okay, what do you want? Just say anything because I am getting sick and tired of your endless moping."
Ayato sighed again, stopping from his usual ministrations. "You can't help me. You don't know her."
Kanato huffed. "Bullshit. We already saw her leave the day after, remember."
"But you don't know where to find her," Ayato countered to which Laito found himself agreeing with.
To be fair, they don't know anything about this mysterious Yui Komori girl. But if they were to have first impression guesses, the girl seemed the honest yet clueless type. She also has the good girl type, the obedient one who always follows her parents' bidding because she is good like that.
However, the girl attended the party in their house and spent that one night with Ayato. That new information doesn't match their impression. Nonetheless, this Yui Komori can quite be a breath of fresh air. After all, this would be the first time Ayato flirted with a girl from the university since all his exes came from different schools.
"So this Bitch-chan has the curiosity of a cat, after all," Laito mused teasingly. "Not a goody two shoes, I see."
"I've asked random people from my course if they know someone called Yui Komori, but they don't seem to recognize one," Ayato said bitterly.
"Hmm... Ayato-kun, what if she's not really studying in Ryoutei University?"
"Nah, that's impossible." The redhead frowned. There's no way Yui would lie to him about studying in Ryoutei. Besides, the only ones invited to their party were people from the university.
"Well, I guess we could just help you look for this Yui Komori," Laito offered with a beaming smile because if this is what it takes for Ayato to stop his endless sighing over hopeless longings, then so be it. Then he turned to Kanato, giving him the "help me out here or else I'll do something despicable to your belongings" look.
Kanato only sighed in exasperation.
What a drag.
Tumblr media
It took four days before Laito informed Ayato something about Yui Komori. It happened one day while he was seeing this one random girl he hooked up with from the Philosophy Department. After their intense sex, she mentioned something along the lines of: "I know that girl. She never skips all the classes. But Laito-kun, she's a bit boring, though? Are you sure you're looking for the right girl?"
And another fun fact: Laito had the same class with the Komori girl at 3pm every Tuesdays.
So Ayato became Laito's substitute, sitting in an unfamiliar class with brand new faces. He looked around for any sign of pale blonde hair and flower hairpins and pink until he spotted her. She was careless and lively, giggling at something her classmates said. Afterwards, the class started, the professor making his usual roll call.
"Sakamaki Laito?"
Ayato raised his hand. "Here."
The professor didn't care, but some of the students whispered, "Eh? But that's not Laito, though. It's the Ayato one."
At the mention of his name, Yui whipped her head back and saw Ayato, sitting five rows away from her. She immediately turned away and tried to shrink from his presence.
What's he doing here?
Once classes ended, Yui quickly got out of her seat and rushed towards the door, letting the crowd of students from the hallway take her until Ayato couldn't see her anymore. Ayato sighed in defeat. It was a one-time chance, and yet he failed.
Tumblr media
"So what now?" Laito asked, munching on his salted caramel popcorn as he watched this new movie he rented with Kanato at their living room. "You'll have to wait for Tuesday to see her again."
"I don't have time for that," Ayato countered. "My practice schedule has been moved to Tuesday next week."
Kanato buried his face into Teddy's head, hugging the stuffed bear closer. "We could ask Reiji to give us a copy of her schedule. He's doing an assistant teacher job until next month," he suggested, then he remembered, "Nah. It's a bad idea. As if Reiji would let us know someone's class schedule. He abides by the rule."
"Looks like there goes your hopes and dreams, Ayato-kun," Laito remarked in despair.
Tumblr media
Or so they thought.
Why? Because Kanato passed by Yui Komori in the hallway on Thursday. What's more? Her class is held at room 403 from 1pm to 5pm.
He knew because he skipped one of his minor classes and see where this blonde girl will move. He even approached one of her classmates and pretended he was quite interested, making some nonsensical flirtatous remarks on her because the girl looked so easy.
"O-O-Oh that?" the poor girl tucked her hair behind her ear and shyly handed out her class schedule. "Y-You can check it; I don't mind. As long as we see each other after this."
As if Kanato will let that happen.
Tumblr media
Ayato was chugging on one of his water bottles in the kitchen when Kanato approached him and said, "I saw your dream girl today."
The redhead stopped at that, turning all his focus on the middle triplet. "Where?"
Suddenly, Kanato whipped out his phone and typed something. Afterwards, Ayato's phone beeped and when he opened it, he received a picture of a class schedule.
"I met a girl who goes to all same classes with that Yui Komori," Kanato informed. "Make sure to use it wisely or else." Because I am so tired of you being so lovesick as hell.
"O-Oh," Ayato was glad. Finally, he could see her again. "Thanks, Kanato."
"Just buy me two pints of ice cream."
"Sure."
"I want the new biscoff one and the chocolate chip cookie."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
Tumblr media
Yui was bored. Apparently their professor for their 4-hour class this Friday afternoon was absent due to sudden cold. She sighed in her seat, contemplating where she could go since her next class would be for 6 pm onwards.
"U-Umm... Komori-san!" a female classmate called.
"Y-Yes?"
"Y-Your boyfriend's calling out for you."
"Eh? Boyfriend?"
Then she saw some of her classmates whispering to each other, glancing briefly at her before going back to their own businesses. Yui decided she should find ot who this mystery boyfriend, although there's only one person that comes to mind.
I hope he's not who I'm thinking.
"Yo, Chichinashi," Ayato greeted, the familiar smirk flashing on him. "It's been a while."
Yui blushed at the familiar nickname, the whispers behind her getting louder.
This was the start of a roller coaster story.

is it bad i’m not a big ayato or yui fan but i can’t help but love their cgs the most? they just look so precious together and that makes me want to protect their happiness ☹️❤️
// Don’t worry, you can like a character without being a huge fan. ^^
I agree with you so much though! I talked here about the Diaboys with the best cgs in different categories but when it comes to romance, Ayayui clearly triumphs!
It’s really hard picking favorites but I feel like these ones are the cgs I’m the most fond of:
The way they look at each other in the LP cg is too much for my heart…! Yui looks SO IN LOVE and I like to believe that she showed Ayato the exact same face when she told him “I clearly remember the reason why I fell in love with you, Ayato-kun. But it also feels like I've loved you all my life, and maybe I've gotten addicted to you before I knew it.”, in an official short story. 😭💘💘
It’s cool how both Yui and Ayato look so mature in the HDB good ending cg. Maybe it’s due to their outfits but Ayato in that tuxedo and Yui in Cordelia’s dress will forever stay iconic.
Dark Fate is my favorite game and I hope the artist was paid well too because they absolutely served! Yui smiles so purely there and the way Ayato looks at her makes it even better! Plus, he took her to that flower field in order to cheer her up and it worked uwu.
I talked about the DF wedding cg here but I will never get over it. Hands down the best DL wedding… it looks straight up from a fairlytale! ( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ ᴗ ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ )
I feel like everyone adores that VC Ayayui cg and no wonder! The hug, the kiss and the fireworks scream PERFECT ROUTE ENDING!
I was actually debating which CL kiss to choose but I ended up with this one because it just looks so romantic?? I mean, just look Ayato’s hand on Yui’s waist & cheek and Yui’s hand on Ayato’s chest~! I feel bad for saying this but that scene makes me cringe so much however, the cg redeems it for sure. 🫶🏻

Weeping Angel
Tumblr media
From author: I'm in the mood for ayayui angst, so here's a short story I pulled out my ass
A gush of wind flew past her threads of gold, causing her to shiver uncontrollably. The night wrapped around her frail frame like a velvety cloak, studded with iridescent stars, decorating the darkness into something that could only be described as straight out of the palm of God.
She clutched her rosarie, blue fingers wrapping around the red gems on the cross. She silently prayed for forgiveness, for repentance, for survival. God wouldn't answer, he couldn't hear her over her screaming cries. As her fingers brushed past the stone walls of that oh so cold mansion, she could only think of all the horrible atrocities that she'd been through, of the vile acts that have been committed in those very walls to not just her, but to hundreds of women alike.
Her footsteps quiet and swift as she took off, shoes nowhere to be seen. Her bare feet crunched the leaves and pebbles under her as she muttered quiet prayers. Vampires were nocturnal, they were built for the dark, molded by Satan himself to hunt any creature that dare show its face in the pale moonlight of the earth.
Wrists were bruised blue and black from the chains Ayato had put her in. She can't remember what led to the argument but she did remember how he threw her to the floor and choked her almost completely lifeless. She woke up bound to the dungeon's walls for who knew how long until Subaru set her free. His eyes filled with guilt and disgust as he watched her from the balcony, waiting, lurking, for the right time to leave.
Yui's heart raced as the creatures of the twilight zone all started to harmonize, singing, begging for her to turn back, go back to the only home that would accept her as she was. She shook her head and ran further into the forest, randomizing her directions so it'd be harder to track her down, or at least that's what she hoped for. Could she truly outrun a vampire? Outrun Ayato?
Why was she even running? She's only endangering herself with a false paradise, her dream to make it out of there alive was just that, a dream. No- no, she had to keep running, she had to keep moving. The reason doesn't even matter now, what mattered was that she made it back home. Home... What a strange word. After everything, did she even have a home anymore? If everything she's learnt about her father- NO! She kept doubting herself, doubting even those around her. At that rate, she'll never hear the chatter of strangers on the streets again, or smell her father's cooking, or see the way the sky lights up for the Nagasaki lantern festival, she'll never feel the safety of her bedsheets comforting her after a scary movie.
She can't give it all up, she can't lose her sanity, she can't lose herself. The path in front of her was pitch black, she couldn't even see her own two hands. Snap. Her body froze as her breathing came to a halt. Yui's feet were glued to the ground below her. Her heart pulsed beneath her supple flesh, trying to burst through her chest. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on its edges as this beastly abomination lurked closer to where she was. She didn't have to guess, she knew it was Ayato, she could feel his predatory gaze stalking her. After living with them for so long she grew accustomed to the sound of his movements, of his footsteps.
She held her breath and in an instant she made a run for it in a random direction. Taking off with as much stamina as her body could siphon. Before she could take two steps in front of her, she felt her wrist get twisted as it was yanked backwards, almost popping her arm out of her socket. The injured female cried out in pain as the aggravated red head wrapped his arms around her body, her back pressing into his stomach. Ayato buried his head in the crook of her neck as tears flowed from his prey, almost choking on them.
"Let me go Ayato- Stop it! You can't do this to me anymore!" Yui screamed as she thrashed about, trying to free herself. Ayato slapped his hand over her mouth, refusing to look up from her neck. "Just shut up! I get it! I fucking get it! You want to leave-to run away with some other man and live some kind of fantasy! Well too bad.... I'm all you get.... All you have so you better-"
"ENOUGH AYATO!" Silence drowned them both as neither decided to take reign of the conversation. Yui decided to speak up knowing that Ayato would just turn this whole thing around on her. "I don't want other men- sometimes I don't even want to leave, all I wanted was you..." Ayato spun her around, clutching her bony shoulders, holding her still in place as he watched the expression on her face.
"Wanted?" Ayato repeated. If his heart could beat, it would be going crazy right about now. A cold sweat overtook him as his panicked gaze scanned her lifeless one. "I thought that maybe if we met each other under different circumstances we could've actually been friends, but..... Holding onto thoughts of 'what ifs' is only making me more miserable day by day." Ayato's grip on her began to falter as his body convulsed and shook.
"We can still-" Yui covered her ears and shook her head. "Just stop it Ayato, please! I'm not done." Yui said as she began to tear up once more. "It's gotten to where it isn't just me this is affecting, i- we can't live like this and it's become apparent that you're not going to change." Ayato gulped as a small stream of tears made its way down his face. Her heart aches as she wished she could just wipe his tears and make this all go away, but this isn't something that she can just make disappear, not this time.
"Heh..... Even when you're in so much pain, you're still thinking about others, after everything I've done to you. God you stupid woman, why can't you just be selfish for once!?" Ayato shouted out at Yui as a flood of emotions enveloped him.
"I am! I AM!" Yui retorted back almost violently. "I am being selfish Ayato... I'm not talking about you." The desperate vampire blinked away his tears. "Well who the HELL are you talking about?? There's no one else but us!" Yui's throat grew dry as she tried to figure out how to word her thoughts. Ayato grew impatient and began to shake her shoulders, demanding an answer.
"I'm pregnant! I'm.....oh god-.........I'm pregnant." That last part came out as a whisper as she fell to her knees and began to sob into her hands as Ayato stood there dumbfounded as the world around him began to spin. He crouched down next to her and wrapped his arms around her once again, taking her into his chest. "Yui-" His words were cut short as blood began to pool in his mouth.
Yui sat there as her hands clenched Subaru's knife. She split his flesh open and watched as the crimson liquid dyed her hair and clothes. His limp body fell with a thud as she wailed like a ghastly banshee, screeching into the night sky, as she held his pale face in her equally pale hands. Tears poured onto his bloodied body, coating him in cold mourning. She couldn't fix this, she couldn't pretend that she was ok anymore. Ayato was simply irredeemable.

I read your post about Ayato overhype and I 200% agree with you and appreciate you for writing it. I also read that other person's Ayato analysis and I just gotta say that that cursed fig defense is so dumb. First off that shit wasn't a thing when More Blood came out. It's not mentioned or referenced even once in any route. Because why would it be? It wasn't even thought of when the first games came out. Second even if it were a thing and Ayato truly was cursed, then why doesn't he experience the effects of the curse in any routes apart from his More Blood one (and, according to this particular Ayato stan, Ruki's)? Why doesn't he go crazy from thirst in Kou's route? Or in Subaru's? Or in Shuu's? etc etc. Also, if the curse is truly that excrutiating and debilitating then shouldn't Ayato be a complete and utter mess in the other characters Dark Fate, Lost Eden etc. routes? But he's not. He's totally fine. Because the stupid curse isn't canon to the games and you can not and should not use it to explain or justify his awful behavior in Ruki's MB route.
I'm sorry this got kind of long but I just needed to get this off my chest because it bothers me so much when toxic Ayato stans insist he is oh so pure of heart, an innocent victim and that he unlike the other characters can't be held accountable for his abusive acts 😑
(feel free to vent out in my ask box I don't mind. and sorry for the late reply, life is hectic)
the curse thing is such a loop/plot hole because in more blood EVERY diaboy gets thirsty after starting to have feelings for Yui, so yeah that curse thing isn't canon. and exactly! if that's the case, why isn't ayato suffering from thirst in other's route. okay let's not include MB considering the argument "they weren't close enough" but by the DF, all Sakamaki and Mukami boys warmed up to Yui, so Ayato should be suffering from thirst/curse in other's route????
I liked ayato, but after youngblood when I saw some people(not targeting to anyone, and I'm not just talking about Tumblr), not liking other people shipping Yui with any other boy because "they are not canon" made me slowly detach from AyaYui. otherwise they were in my top 5 a few years ago.
youngblood was just a fanservice. it was good for Ayato fans but Rejet messed it up. first the curse thing then the degrading of Shu and Subaru's character by making them "betray" ayato. which irks me because we all have read flashback scenes of these two from the VERY FIRST GAME, and we are completely aware with how sweet and gentle they were in childhood.
In CL, in Shu's route, it was shown how much he deeply cares about his brothers despite not showing it. so does it go for Subaru in Carla's route. you hear it? not in his OWN route but Carla's route.
the only difference is, because of trauma they weren't sure how to express it and always doubted/hesitated to trust or show true feelings to each other because of what happened to them. they all went through different experiences.
Ayato is Ruki's rival, just like how Subaru is for Kou, and Shu for Yuma. Ayato just came to take away Yui as a prey. "his thirst wasn't controllable and was locked in a dungeon. it was definitely the curse."
the curse didn't even exist at that time. it was just Rejet's plot to progress Ruki's route because if we remember, Ruki asked Ayato, before he took away Yui, if he had feelings for her and ayato replied with, feelings??? that's nonsense, the only value she has is her blood. It was a scene of confirmation to make Ruki realise his feelings and stop thinking "Adam is what she needs and not a snake" so that he can finally betray Karlheinz for Yui and run away with her, free her from this hell.
in conclusion, we have seen every diaboy saying how unique and special Yui's blood is, also a very rare thing (i guess?) so because of instincts as a vampire, Ayato only wanted to find Yui to drink her special blood.
the curse thing can never be canon because everyone gets thirsty in their route, EVEN SHIN in his BRUTE ending in DF. so are they cursed too??? no they aren't 😭
some actions can never be justifiable, I'll even say that about my own fav characters like Shin, Subaru, Carla, Reiji, etc.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Ayato 🏀 and Yui 🌸
Author: Admin Irsa
Genre: Romance, Tragedy
⚠️ TW: Violence, Toxic Relationships, Forced Pregnancy, Forced Relationships, Punishment, Death, Bullying, Blood Mentioned, Abusing ⚠️
Admin's Note: Inspired by Ayato's HDB bad ending. It just came in mind. As, I said before that Ayayui used to be my fav when I started watching dl this fic was in my mind. Dropping it for some Ayayui fans out there! I hope you all will like it!
Tumblr media
🌸Silver lining🌸
Yui trembled as she tried turning her head. It was incredibly painful for her to do such a small task. The coldness she felt in the room didn’t help either. She tried screaming, but her screams were muffled by a cloth pressed to her face. Her hands were also tied with tight ropes. She couldn’t help but cry at her luck, fate, and misery. She felt so helpless in this situation.
Ayato had gone crazy. He stopped listening to Yui and her pleas for mercy. Instead, he now only does things his way he wants. She never thought that the person she loved the most would become the person she desperately wants to escape from. You aren't scared of the person you love right? Then why does she feel scared talking to him?
She heard the door open and saw Ayato. This was the same person she loved with all her heart, but also the one who killed his whole family for no good reason. She didn't think his possessiveness could get any worse.
"Hah! Look Chichinashi I bought you food!”
Ayato came closer to Yui, who was currently tied to bed. He set the tray of food aside and reached forward to loosen her gag. But before he could get the knot unraveled, he looked her in the eyes.
"No screaming or bitting my finger! You know what punishment awaits if you do that, right?!"
Yui nodded her head weakly. She was tired of protesting, but in her heart she didn’t give up. She didn’t want to give up hope that he could change.
He needed to realize that his cruel treatment of her was wrong. He was supposed to keep her safe. How could she ever possibly be safe if he killed his own family? It certainly wasn’t a good thing in her mind.
Ayato smiled at Yui and kissed her forehead before removing the cloth from her face. With her mouth unobstructed he helped her eat. Grabbing something edible from the tray next to him, he began to force feed the imprisoned girl. He was glad that Yui did not retaliate. She ate whatever he provided without saying a word. She was mentally exhausted from this unfortunate predicament and physically worn from the restraints. Everything started to blur together…
{[ ___________🌹_____________}]
Ayato looked over at Yui, who quickly dozed off after her meal. She was now sleeping beside him in an awkward position. Slightly concerned, he looked at the ropes tying her to the bed post. It was clear that Yui was restless. It was impossible for her to get comfortable with tied hands. Noticing this, Ayato untied her for the bed time. She couldn’t do anything while she was asleep anyway.
Ayato didn't know why Yui was rejecting his love and affection. His logic and reasoning behind keeping her tied up made perfect sense to him. He thought of every possibility in his head… why is she sad and scared? Why would she care or be upset that he killed all his brothers? She even cried after he told her that he did it all for their love. Why is she not happy that they are together now?
These accumulating thoughts made Ayato very angry. He couldn’t believe the way she was behaving that night. Shouldn’t she be happy knowing that he loved her and was willing to prove it. He killed everyone in that mansion…except for her.
He only did it for Yui. He only keeps her locked in the mansion because he wants to protect her. Everything he does is for Yui. He was willing to display his love in a violent and brutal act. Shouldn’t that count for something? For her alone, he would kill anyone… even himself. He would give his life for her if he had to and die as well…
He glared at Yui’s face with a mad glint in his eyes.
"You belong to me. to Ore-sama, to Ayato!"
*Timeskip*
Ayato was furious to wake up and find out that Yui had disappeared from his side. She was nowhere to be found on the bed, but her impression in the mattress was still warm. With Yui not next to him, he frantically pushed himself off the bed and headed towards the bathroom door. He practically ran to the door, but when he turned the handle it wouldn’t budge. To his surprise, the door was locked. It enraged him even more to learn that Yui was being so secretive. He knew she was locked inside because he heard the toilet flush. To get to the bottom of this, he pounded the door with his fist until the hinges practically flew open. With no shame whatsoever, he entered the bathroom to invade her privacy. The first thing he saw was Yui’s frail body leaning against the counter for support. She looked very weak.
"Yui!"
Ayato made his way towards Yui and hugged her.
"A-Ayato-kun,” she whimpered.
Needing something to stable herself, Yui pushed herself off of the countertop and gripped Ayato’s shoulders. It has been a long time since he had hugged her. Ayato took her in his arms gently. She didn’t understand how or why their relationship became this toxic. It didn’t matter to her in this moment because he was being so gentle now. She cherished the sweet moments like this, which have been fewer and fewer as of late. He hugged her like she was a delicate stuffed animal. Maybe Ayato would finally come to his senses if she was patient?
Suddenly, Yui felt small inhales of breath on the top of her head. Was Ayato smelling her hair? This gave her an uneasy feeling, as if something bad was about to happen. The grip on her waist was getting tighter and tighter too… was he already back to his crazed self?
"Ayato-kun! I need to take shower... I am dirty," she pleaded.
He looked at Yui and stepped back to give her more space. With any other person, this could have been viewed as a kind gesture. However, Ayato was far from human, let alone someone kind or decent. With one swift pull, he yanked the sleeve of her dress, revealing some skin. Yui used her arms to push away his hand. Her clothes were getting ruined from the fabric being stretched.
Stunned by this reaction, Ayato used his free hand to roughly pull her hair.
"What the heck!? Are you crazy!!? You really don't learn!”
"P-ple-ease. A-Ayato-kun… stop… please! I want to take a bath alone!"
"Hahh! I told you that there’s nothing to hide. I think you should get used to me seeing you naked!"
Ayato continued to chuckle after hearing more of her desperate attempts. It only humored him. In his fit of laughter, he reached at the hem of her dress, ready to pull off another piece off. Tear after tear, her outfit is ripped to shreds. By the very end of this encounter, she is dressed in rags. Still, she tried to shield her body and cover herself. She never surrendered her decency or her will to resist… however pathetically.
"Ayato-kun, please stop!"
With this final warning, Yui gave him a hard push using all her strength. This caused him to stumble away from her. Yui hoped that this would make him finally back off, but it turned out to have the opposite effect. With seething rage, he raised his hand to hit her across the face. Yui closed her eyes and silently prayed it wouldn’t hurt that bad. But in the midst of this action, Ayato’s expression changed. His hand came to a full stop only inches away from her face. Ayato looked at Yui’s fear-struck face filled with tears. He couldn't hit her. He just couldn’t… but why? Is she really that scared of him? He loved her too much! With a twinge of regret, his hand came back to his side.
"Fuck it!!"
In the next few moments, Ayato stormed out of the bathroom. Yui was relieved that he left. Once she knew he was far enough away, she looked at her reflection in the mirror. At this point, she knew holding in her emotions any longer wouldn’t happen. She slumped to the bathroom floor and cried out to her heart’s content. She was scared of Ayato. Why was he still forcing her to do things she doesn't want to do?
{[_____________🌹____________}]
Yui laid in bed and stared at the ceiling above her. She wanted to fall asleep but the grip on her waist didn’t allow it. With this, she sighed and stayed as still as humanly possible. This didn’t stop the vampire from touching her though, it wasn’t long before she felt a hand creeping up her inner thigh. The hand rested and caressed her thigh for a few seconds until it continued to move upwards, stopping at her breast.
Suddenly, Ayato flipped Yui over by the shoulders and kissed her neck. His sharp fangs sank into her skin. Blood immediately started dripping out of the wound and this made Yui feel very faint. In an instant, he climbed on top of her and started taking his clothes off. After he was finished with himself, he undressed the small girl beneath him too.
"Ayato-kun."
"Yes?" he replied while leaving a hickey at her collarbone.
"Whatever you are doing is wrong! This is wrong!" Yui said as she felt tears in her eyes.
"Shut it! I am so over it! Say one more thing and you will regret your words, I swear!”
Feeling it now inside her, Yui felt so much pain and couldn't hold the moan. Ayato continued his movement....
*Timeskip*
Yui emptied all the contents of her stomach. Her stomach hurt so much and she was certain it was because she was being starved. Ayato had been giving her less food for being disobedient.
Feeling nauseous again, she vomited over and over agin. After all was said and done, she slumped down to the floor. She felt very weak and her vision was blurry. It didn’t matter how hard she tried either, she couldn’t lift herself up or do anything.
When the bathroom door opened, Yui quietly observed Ayato with his usual maddening expression. When he noticed Yui helpless on the floor he picked her up and placed her on the bed.
"I will get you some food!" He said as he made his way towards door.
"Food won't help, Ayato-kun! I need to see a doctor because I am not feeling well… "
He turned to Yui in a fit of anger once again.
"Like Hell! I won’t let you out again. I think you are forgetting that this was the reason for your punishment!"
"Ayato kun… please... I am not lying. I’m really not okay!”
"Stop making excuses! I am over it! You are staying with me whether you like it or not! You are mine and only mine, so get this thing in your thick skull if you want to live peacefully!"
With this final remark he turned and left the room. Yui gripped her stomach because she felt the sharp pain again. Tears pricked her eyes when it finally dawned on her that this was reality. An unbearable and inhumane reality…
What did she do to deserve this kind of treatment? Ayato should be listening to her because—
Her eyes widened when she noticed a wet spot forming between her thighs.
“It can’t be…”
Other words formed in her head but nothing else escaped her lips from the state of shock. In a panic, Yui whipped her head to the right to look at the calendar on her desk. Her eyes scrolled row after row for a certain date. Looking down again, she continued to choke back tears.
She was sure that the baby inside her belly was going to die.
This realization hurt her more than anything she had ever experienced. She wanted to be a mother, but not like this. She wanted it to happen under different circumstances under her own free will. As her eyelids became heavier and heavier, she looked down at the pool of blood. The scarlet red blood clashing against the white bedspread made for a messy scene. It was a mess and she was a mess. Her clothing was still disheveled and since Ayato kept her from taking a shower she was filthy. The pain was too much and the room was spinning. Yui clawed and gripped at the bedsheets to distract her mind. What was she going to do? Although it was incredibly painful, Yui was at least grateful that it kept her awake. She needed to stay awake for the sake of her baby. A dozen different ideas transcended her mind on how to escape this terrible situation. She didn’t want to die like this. Could she call out to Ayato or would it not even matter?
She couldn’t do anything to save her own baby.
As if her prayer had been answered, Ayato stormed into the room. Yui was covered in blood and laying on the mattress, but anything Ayato did was of no use. It was too late. Yui took her last breath as Ayato dropped to his knees in agony and grief. He felt like throwing up. He wanted to scream and curse at the world.
He looked at Yui’s face and felt like his heart was breaking and twisting inside his chest. The only thing he could do was hold her in his arms. Her body was still warm, but there was no life in her eyes.
"Yui! Wake up! Please… look..... I’m sorry. I promise I will listen to you… and be the person you want me to be. My love… please stop… wake up."
He shook her violently and slapped her face repeatedly to wake her up. No matter what he did, she entered her eternal slumber. Never to wake again.
Silence goes by and Ayato stares at her limp body. Something about it was kind of ironic…maybe hysterical?
"Hahaa...Ahaahaa.. AHA"
Ayato’s laughter echoed through the empty mansion.
His brothers are gone, sure, but Yui was the only person he was living for. Now he is left all alone. He couldn't help but laugh at his misery and bad luck.
"Hahhh... I love you Yui" he said as he cradled her lifeless body close to his chest.

Lovesick • AyaYui Oneshot
‼️𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐮𝐢 𝐱 𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐨‼️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW: Murder, suicide, loss of sanity, mentions of dismemberment
A/N: I wrote most of this at 1 am, and this is my first time writing AyaYui, so please excuse all grammar mistakes and this dogshit oneshot.
Growing up Catholic, Yui was taught to love everybody and not have malicious intentions toward others. And for 16 years she succeeded, in being caring and kind to people no matter how they treated her. So why was it now that every time she saw another girl talking with Ayato, she wanted to smash that bitch’s head into a wall until she was screaming for mercy? Even seeing a girl glance at him made her heart twist as her brain conjured up a bloody scene. What was the sudden change? Yui couldn’t understand why she felt such hate towards these girls she’d never spoken to, or why she felt such a primal need to harm them for taking an interest in what belonged to her.
Yes, hers. Ayato Sakamaki was hers. It’s fated, and Yui knew it is. Why else would her God have made it so she found Ayato on the couch the day she arrived? It had to be destiny. Ayato had to be hers. And he was hers… right? Who else to be hers but Ayato?
Just the thought of him made Yui’s thoughts fuzzy. Her stomach fluttered as if hundreds of butterflies were flapping their heart-shaped wings. He plagued her thoughts day in and day out. Every night she dreamt of him. Her sweet Ayato. Speaking with him wasn’t any better for her, either. Her cheeks would turn red and she would stammer, often resulting in Ayato’s ridicules. Not that Yui minded his comments, she was just happy to have Ayato giving her his attention. After all, she was the only girl Ayato needed to give his attention to.
But Ayato didn’t seem to follow Yui’s unspoken attention rule. He broke it constantly without realizing, and that upset the love-struck blonde. She followed him discreetly, taking notes of his schedule and habits. Yui noted that every month, Ayato would take a new girl into the library for some feasting fun. And from around the tall, wooden library shelf stood the brainsick blonde. She watched quietly, her blood boiling and her teeth clenched tightly to the point of breaking into thousands of shards, which she would’ve gladly swallowed if it meant getting Ayato’s attention away from the bitch he had his fangs clamped into. Before the feasting could finish, Yui would leave with a gore fest playing in her twisted head.
She had had enough of Ayato’s cheating. They’d never officially dated, but Ayato had said before that he would be her first everything. And Ayato was going to remain her first everything, even if it meant getting her hands a little dirty.
Ayato hadn’t taken notice of it before, but it seemed like every girl he’d feasted on would miss the next school day, and the one after that, then the one after that. Rumors would circulate about the missing girl before being completely masked over by another missing girl, another fling of Ayato’s. The pattern of missing girls seemed odd, especially since every girl mysteriously vanishing had some sort of relation to him. Sure, it weirded Ayato out, but it didn’t stop him. Nothing would stop the fearless Ayato. But nothing was going to stop the obsessive Yui, either.
It became clear to Yui that Ayato wouldn’t stop even if every girl he touched or spoke to went missing. So she decided to up the ante and leave her precious angel a warning in his shoe locker on Friday. And on Monday, when they had returned to school, Ayato was greeted with the rotting head of his latest fling. A note was tied to her hair with a pink ribbon. Careful not to touch the disgusting decomposing head, he plucked out the note and read it:
‘Stop fooling around with those other girls. They don’t deserve you like I do, my love.’
Ayato seemed disturbed more by the note than the head. He had Reiji take care of it as always, too bothered to take care of it himself. Ayato acted as if he didn’t care, but realistically, he was offended. Who had the gall to demand the great Ayato Sakamaki’s attention?! And who-…
Staring back down at the note, Ayato curiously put it up to his nose and sniffed it. He cringed at the smell of death and rot that stuck to the paper, but there was a sweet smell to it. A smell that was all too familiar. A smell that plagued his senses from the second that little blonde stepped into his mansion.
But chichinashi? The thought almost made him laugh. Yui was the last person to do such a thing. She was a devout Catholic, denouncing all things even remotely sinful. Her puritanical mindset couldn’t even comprehend the idea of sex before marriage, much less homicide. It just couldn’t be Yui, it couldn’t be. But from the corner of his eye, he had noticed her watching him hold the note. Her expression was dull, but her eyes were glinting with excitement as her lips struggled to not curl into a grin.
Ayato kept this discovery to himself, mostly because of its absurdness, but also because he knew his brothers wouldn’t believe his theory. They would have laughed him out of the room for even suggesting that it was Yui terrorizing the girls of Ryoutei high. Part of him doubted it as well. That shy little angelic girl who had chosen him to take her blood when she’d arrived, he just couldn’t imagine her doing such a thing. Perhaps she was next? Ayato almost scoffed at the idea of Yui going missing. There was no way she could, they knew her every move. The walls had eyes, after all. And the walls liked to talk, and lately the walls had talked of Yui acting odd.
His shoulders slumped over as he gnawed at his bottom lip. Ayato had sat in his room since he arrived from school, obviously troubled by his own thoughts. It was uncommon for Ayato to have something like this bother him so easily. Yui had noticed his behavior from the second he stepped into the limo. Was it her warning that had upset him?
Unable to shake the question from her head, Yui had prepared takoyaki for Ayato and brought it to him in his room. It was her way of apologizing and putting her thoughts at ease. Carefully, she held out the plate towards him.
“Ayato-kun, I made you takoyaki. Please accept it,” she whispered, her cheeks ablaze as she stared down at her shoes. Lost in his own thoughts, Ayato blankly stared at the plate of takoyaki in Yui’s hands. His green eyes lingered from the food to her hands, his lips parting slightly from what he saw. Ayato took the plate from her and watched her walk away. Before she could leave, he stood up quickly and set the plate aside.
“Hey, Yui?” He said aloud, garnering the attention of Yui. She turned around to face Ayato, shocked that he had used her name, and not some degrading nickname.
“Yes, Ayato-kun?” She asked bashfully, trying to hide the obvious blush on her face. She could hardly hear herself as her heartbeat pounded in her ears, and her skin got feverishly hot.
“How long have you been killing those girls?” He asked, blankly staring at her. Silence followed the question, Yui’s heartbeat stopping as the color drained from her cheeks.
“Pardon me? I think I misheard you.” Yui tried to remain polite and calm as Ayato stalked toward her.
“That note I found in my locker today. It smelled like you.” He stood before her, staring down at her petite, trembling figure. His hand seized her wrist, eliciting a gasp from Yui. “And I know for a fact that I don’t leave scratch marks on you,” Ayato said. He suddenly tore down the long sleeves of Yui’s shirt, exposing the defense wounds on her arms. Scratches, bruises, and nail marks littered Yui’s skin. Some appeared to be fresh, while others were fading away. Ayato looked at Yui, expecting her to denounce the accusation, or give him a reasonable explanation, but she just stared back at him with a small frown.
“You sure know how to pick them. They put up a good fight. That headless girl even got a few hits on me, but she couldn’t survive a chop to the neck. God did not fate them just to be with you.” Yui paused, looking at Ayato’s face before frowning. “Don’t give me that look! It’s your fault they’re dead. If you just stayed loyal, then they would still be alive! But I can forgive you if you’ll forgive me. You’ll forgive me, right sweetheart?” Yui stared at Ayato, watching as his face morphed into disgust. Fear laced his green orbs as he pulled away from Yui.
Yui’s sickly sweet smile slowly dropped as he backed away from her. “You won’t forgive me…?” Her head tilted slowly as her eyes welled with tears. “I did this for us…” Her body shook. Rage flickered in those cold pools of pink. “But it seems you’ve taken me for a fool. You don’t believe in our love, Ayato? Is that it?” Her voice raised, causing Ayato to scoff.
“Are you out of your mind, chichinashi?” He tried to remain stoic despite the small wavers in his tone. Yui’s lip quivered as she saw the disgust and discomfort on his face. “Yours Truly won’t be held down by a human. You’re acting like Kanato. It’s pathetic.” Ayato used insults to mask the feeling of impending doom that was bubbling inside of him.
“Pathetic?” Yui gasped softly, like she couldn’t believe it. “B-But I did this for you! This was for our love!” Yui confessed as tears spilled. She tried to blink through her blurred vision, trying to find some look of remorse or admiration from Ayato. Why couldn’t he appreciate what she had done for her?
Distraught by his rejection, she took out Subaru’s knife from the band of her shorts and walked towards Ayato as he foolishly cornered himself. She raised the knife above her head, slamming it down into Ayato’s chest. Cries erupted from Yui as she repeatedly stabbed him, pleading for forgiveness as Ayato’s shouts and cries filled her ears. When the cries ceased, and Ayato’s body collapsed, she collapsed with him. Her body laid against his, tears dampening her face as his blood smeared against her. Seeing his still beautiful face, her heart clenched as she realized what she’d done.
“My dear Ayato, you will be mine forever.” She gripped the hilt of the knife, ripping it out of his chest. She positioned his arms around her, her head nuzzled into his neck as she wept. “I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me, my love.” A small whimper came from Yui as she buried the knife in her chest. She went limp against Ayato, both corpses resting peacefully in each other’s arms.
Thanks for reading :3 Sorry if it sucked lol

Yui: Ayato-kun, where exactly are we going...?
Ayato: Dunno.
Yui: Wha-!? Did Ayato-kun take me out on a date without choosing a spot...?
Ayato: That's a bother, no? Why not just explore everywhere?
Yui: (I mean...it's surely different than what I had imagined but it doesn't sound bad, I get to spend more time with Ayato-kun!)
Sure...
Ayato: Great! How about we start with that Arcade right there?
Yui: Yeah! Let's go!
Location: ARCADE
Yui: (Woah..! You can win that huge kitty plushie from that claw machine!)
Ayato: Oi, why are you staring at that thing for so long?
Do you want it?
Yui: Well...it's pretty cute! But I doubt I'd be able to get it as I'm not the best with claw machines you see...
Ayato: If chichinashi wants it, Ore-sama will get it for you. Ore-sama is good with these machines, you know.
Yui: (..! For me!?)
Ayato-kun...
A few minutes pass
Ayato: Tch- this thing is rigged for sure.
Yui: Ayato-kun it's fine if you don't get it...
(I'm happy Ayato-kun tried after all!)
Ayato: Aah? Who said anything about giving up! Watch this.
He manages to get the plushie
Tumblr media
Yui: Ayato-kun, you did it!
Ayato: Hell yeah I did! See, Ore-sama will get anything for chichinashi!
Yui: Ayato-kun...
(He truly tried his hardest....for me. Ayato-kun is truly the most hardworking person I know. I feel like I'm falling in love with him over and over again...)
Ayato-kun, I love you.
Ayato: ..! Why'd you say that so randomly?
Yui: Sorry..
Ayato: Idiot, don't apologise....
...I love you too, Yui.
Hey, let's go somewhere else now. I think we might end up spending all of Reiji's money- I mean my money here.
What about that takoyaki stall right there?
Yui: Sure!
Ayato: But before that...
Mwah
*Surprise peck*
Tumblr media
Yui: ..!! Nn..
You tease!
Ayato: Hehe!
Let's go now!

(because i need content to post but i’m weighed down by my third year undergrad exams)
so this list is courtesy of the AO3 statistics page, i’ve never actually looked at this before so i thought it’d be a nice lil post. i am excluding blue is the new pink, my 100 chapter crossover with vanitas no carte and pandora hearts, because obviously that’d be the highest.
~~~
5. for forever
3. give me a day and i’ll give you a purpose
i loveee the shuuma fic already, do you know any other good multi chapter dl fics?
thank you for reading it! I think I'll post the next chapter tomorrow ^^ here are some multichapter fics I've been thinking about lately!!
into the flames - shuuma royalty au, shu is a prince and yuma is his servant. I know I've recommended this before but this fic is like, too good to be true. complete, 4 chapters, gets nsfw at the end
tl;dr - chatfic that is very silly but it's also VERY easy to get emotionally attached. this is the laikou bible. ongoing, last update in 2020 but You Have To Trust Me Okay it's a good time
i will find any way to your wild heart - reijiruki, subakou, ayayui, azusa/kanato, shuuma. modern high school au where the characters struggle with addiction, internalized homophobia.......I don't want to spoil the rest but please read the tags and warnings if u have any triggers!! sammy's fics are angsty and the payoff is great. (currently ongoing, updates regularly, almost finished, most recent chapter made me Yell)
soldier, poet, king - shu/yuma/reader. you transfer to ryoutei academy and get paired up with shu and yuma for school projects. x reader fics usually aren't my cup of tea but I was drawn to the shuuma and slow burn tags :'D and I like the way this author writes! not kidding about the slow burn thing; this fic is ongoing and I get the sense we've barely gotten started. I'm excited to see where it goes!!
Hey do you like Ayayui?
I don't like Ayayui. I love Ayayui. 🤗
As I said before, I love all the Yui x Diaboys ships and there is not a single ship that I hate or don't like. I even like Kanato x Yui, which in my opinion is the weirdest DL ship.
If I praise a ship more or make more posts about it, it is because I like that ship more, and it is not the reason that I don't like other ships.
In this blog, which is my personal blog, I prefer to focus on things that make me happy and warm my heart more. Yes, I am talking about these two:
Tumblr media
I love them. I really love them. This ship warms my heart 1000000000000%.
People who are hating Ayato are trying to be different way so bad frfr. He’s not more hate-worthy than any of the other guys because they were all abusive after all, even Azusa.
At first I thought he was annoying af (I thought everyone was annoying tho) but after watching him grown in other games I came to the conclusion that Ayato is a great character. He acts childish as a coping mechanism because this guy has been locked inside almost his entire life having to study and prepare for being heir, so his childhood has been really taken away from his, I really can’t put the blame on him atp.
He acts immature sometimes but bffr so do all the others. Ayato is capable of a bunch of things and very prone to change into a better person. I would truthfully say that he’s a very emotionally mature person given that he takes responsibility, owns his mistakes, shows empathy, admits when he needs help or when he’s burning out and isn’t afraid of showing his vulnerable side. That anon who insulted Yui for choosing Ayato over “a man like Ruki” undoubtedly didn’t understand Ayato and neither Ruki. I don’t want to get the Ruki stans mad but this guy is an enormous hypocrite who gets satisfaction out of people’s despair, is that really what anyone would consider “the perfect man”? Besides Yui fits with Ayato way more and I would rather say that Ayato is the man Ruki will never be.
// Everyone certainly has different tastes, therefore it's okay to dislike a character, but to hate one is already quite puerile. I don't get why insulting fictional characters would make anyone feel better about themselves.
In all honesty, I have always liked Ayato's childish side. Even Yui admits loving when he acts that way and that’s because he’s genuinely adorable. If someone became so comfortable with me to the point that they asked me to pat their head, I would feel happy, lol. There are people who don't want to have their privacy invaded but they should understand that 99% of heroines always like when their love interests get clingy and want affection from them, so it’s not anyone’s fault they can’t relate to them.
As for maturity, that’s something you gain from experience and it’s also more like a form of professionalism. Nobody is mature all the time and what someone might label as “immature” could be, from another perspective: fun-loving, counter-cultural and so on. In Ayato’s case, his immaturity comes from poor impulse control because he never received the life lessons that would have helped him understand when certain behaviors are inappropriate. I do agree that once he experiences certain things, he becomes very emotionally mature and that side was best shown in LE and especially in CL.
Speaking about Ruki, I remember Rejet describing him in an official book as a fake person, which is in fact not a lie, haha. He’s truly a manipulative character, who plays multiple roles so as to get what he wants. I’m glad Yui didn’t fall for him in Ayato’s MB route because the Ruki presented there wasn’t his real version, he was only acting nice to lure Yui. I can’t deny that he is able of being boyfriend material after you conquer his heart but I do admit that Ayato is actually a better version of Ruki. Having a lot of knowledge and being a good strategist doesn’t make you the dream guy of every girl, there are more important things out there.
One of the main reasons why I ship Ayayui is that they are both brave, bold, authentic, and mentally strong, and people like this need to stick together. I like how neither of them is afraid to confront or even disagree with Karlheinz; Yui's "I'll be the one to decide my life and future." (DF) and Ayato's "I don't need your powers, I choose my own destiny." (CL) are two of the most powerful words ever spoken in Diabolik Lovers because they demonstrate that they will not allow themselves to be Karl's or anyone’s puppets. Both of them may be dumb at times, but being badass can take many forms; it isn't just about fighting an enemy or devising elaborate plans.
I agree with you to some extent, but not completely. I think the reason some of the boys left Yui in Lost Eden was just because they don't want to hurt Yui because she is the most important person in the boys' lives. Maybe in this case, Ayato was more daring than the other boys, but I didn't like LostEden very much. In the HDB and Blood seasons, I didn't see much love between Ayato and Yui, and in my opinion, Subayui was much better and sweeter than Ayayui. Shuyui too . In comparison, Yui behaves more maturely when she is in front of others, but when she is in front of Ayato, their relationship becomes really childish and I feel that they are not like a couple at all.
. Yui's relationship with Ayato becomes dangerous when she says that if you like, beat me to calm down. Well, it's more like Stockholm syndrome than love, but she stands up to other boys like Yuma and confronts their bad behavior. It's more like a couple. Real couples fight and point out each other's bad behavior, but Yui and Ayato's relationship is not like that, Yui is even willing to be beaten by Ayato and this does not give the vibe of couples at all. But all this is my opinion. Can I know your opinion on this issue?
That's an interesting point to bring up, because I personally never got that kind of vibe from AyaYui post-HDB/MB but I tend to not really take those two games into account when grading the ships because there's not a single healthy relationship in them. ^^;; While there might a few sweet moments sprinkled in between, all of the boys torture and abuse Yui to the point where a normal relationship between them could NEVER be justified, even if they have a change at heart.
As for their relationship being 'childish'. I can definitely see why it may seem less serious compared to some of the other ships, but that's actually why I enjoy it so much. Because let's not forget that Yui is just a 17-year old girl. Shouldn't be able to have those silly moments? And in that case, Ayato is her perfect partner in crime. :p
