Kyojuro crawls underneath the blankets just as the sun begins to rise, rays of light sweeping across the bed. He pulls the sheet over your heads and hugs you close, enveloping you in a soft cocoon.
"Cold!" You startle awake, flinching as he presses his cool skin against you.
Kyojuro plants a kiss on your forehead. "Sorry…"
Still groggy, you blink at the sunlight filtering through the sheet. "You're late."
He smiles, bright enough to rival the early morning sun. "I was watching you sleep."
You make a wry face. "That would sound creepy coming from anybody but you."
"I love watching you sleep—you're so beautiful."
Bedhead, cheek imprinted with the wrinkles of your pillowcase, oversized pajama shirt turned halfway around—you can imagine just how "beautiful" you look.Your preternatural lover, however, is, as always, an absolute vision.
His golden hair curls softly around his face, framing bright ruby eyes and that dazzling smile, his canines coming to sharp points. Blue veins spider along his temples and down his neck to the bared pale skin of his muscular chest. They flow down his belly and disappear beneath the waistband of his pajamas—incidentally, the bottoms to the shirt you're wearing now.
Eying those veins, you coil a strand of his hair around your finger, then let it unspool. "You haven't eaten yet."
"Not since dinner."
You flick your eyes back to his mouth, the white pearl of his canines. "You want breakfast?"
Kyojuro's face darkens and, for a split second, he is every bit the predator you know him to be. His gaze moves to your neck, lighting on the neat, twin wounds he gave you the night before. You swallow, stomach fluttering at his unabashed hunger. But it's momentary—his expression quickly softens to its usual sweetness.
"Are you sure…?"
A smile tugs at the corner of your mouth. "I love breakfast in bed."
He hesitates. You ruffle his hair, "That was an invitation by the way."
Kyojuro scrunches his face as you give him the golden retriever treatment, closing one eye as you tousle his waves. He reaches up and catches your hand. Bringing it to his lips, he presses a kiss to your palm.
"You're so good to me," he murmurs.
Shifting, he kneels over you, pulling the sheet tight across his back, pinning it against the mattress with his forearm to block out the morning light.
"You don't want me to close the curtains?"
"I don't mind," he says. There's a slight edge to his voice, an eagerness that tingles pleasantly between your legs.
Matching his mood, you shrug out of your shirt and shove it aside. Your bare skin prickles at the cold emanating from his body, nipples coming to pert buds in the chill.
"You really are beautiful," Kyojuro says.
He cups your cheek with his free hand and strokes the corner of your lips before drifting down to your throat. Your breath catches as the tip of his thumb just brushes one of the wounds.
His brow creases with concern. "Does it hurt?"
"A little," you admit. "But it feels good, too."
Kyojuro hums, his grip tightening ever so slightly, closing around your naked throat. You can see the confliction in his eyes—the temptation to give in to his most base desires warring with his fierce love for you, his fragile and very much mortal mate.
Your pulse quickens and he flinches as it races beneath his fingers. It's frightening, titillating, knowing you're at the mercy of a killer, but there's no question in your mind—Kyojuro would never do anything to harm you.
His fingers loosen, just as you knew they would, and he moves to your breast, palming your soft flesh, teasing your nipple with the flat of his hand.
Kyojuro's touch glides down to your belly. "Do you know what you look like to me?"
"A snack?" you tease.
Your joke sails over his head—he didn't even hear you, he's so transfixed by the dip in your waist, the curve of your hip. "A goddess."
Again, coming from anyone else, a line like that would never work. But, lying beneath him, soaking up his tender, loving gaze, you blush—a fact Kyojuro doesn't miss. He responds immediately to the high color in your cheeks, erection tenting his pants.
Slipping your fingers beneath his waistband, you push it down, tugging his bottoms over the mound of his ass and his straining erection. Kyojuro kicks them off as he pushes your thighs apart, still gripping the sheet with his other hand.
For a brief moment, you each pause to admire the other—his twitching length and the leaking bulb of his head, your hips angled in offering and the sweet nectar almost dripping from between your legs. Then, as if in mutual abandon, you embrace each other.
Kyojuro slides forward, covering your body with his, cock nosing at your slit. You take him easily, stretching around him as he groans, burying himself to his base. You close your hands over his hips as he begins to thrust, rutting into you with smooth, rolling licks.
He presses his forehead to yours, "Feels so good…"
You hum in agreement, basking in the way he fills you up, his length reaching the deepest part of you, your walls stretching deliciously around his girth. You turn your head and Kyojuro buries his face in the crook of your neck. His lips brush over your wounds, a fluttering kiss followed by the drag of his tongue, slick with hungry saliva.
"Can I?" he asks, breath icy on your neck.
Biting your lip, you answer—reaching up, you tangle your hands in his hair, pulling his mouth against your throat. Kyojuro throbs inside you. Groaning, he snaps at your neck, teeth sinking into your flesh. You gasp and moan, warmth flooding your body.
Teeth and tongue working against your skin, Kyojuro's pace quickens. He drinks you up greedily, pulling long draughts from your neck, rutting with primal need. Closing your eyes, you hold him to you as your head begins to spin. You bring your knees up and wrap your legs around his waist, clinging to him.
A whine rises from Kyojuro's chest. He nuzzles your neck, making needy sounds, gulping you down. A swoon presses you back against the pillow. It's hypnotic—the rhythm of his hips, his cock dipping in and out, and his tongue on your bleeding throat. You can feel your climax building, your flush leaking out into Kyojuro's starving mouth. Fingers caught in his hair, thighs clutching his rolling hips, you cum, moaning against his temple.
Kyojuro thrusts through it, feeding your core as it clenches around him. His teeth sink deeper into your throat—the predator satisfying himself, taking everything you're offering. He bucks fast and deep, desperate, urgent. Growling, bite tightening, he thrusts to his base, cock spurting hot inside you.
Still holding you by the throat, he doesn't release you till he's spent his last drop. He eases his teeth from your neck, drawing a shiver from you as he laps once, twice, at your wounds.
Pushing himself onto his elbows, he looks down at you, smiling as he catches his breath. The predator has been sated, and the drape of the sheet over his head looks like a veil, the light shining through, a halo. A healthy flush colors his cheeks, the tracery of blue veins all but vanished from his skin.
You brush the hair from his eyes with trembling fingers. "That was some wake up call…"
Kyojuro's smile widens, "I'll get you something to eat."
You shake your head, "The curtains." His smile fades. "Don't worry about it. I'll eat something when I get up. Just come here."
Kyojuro shifts, stretching out beside you. He slides his arms around your waist, and pulls you close, tucking you under his chin. Pressed against his chest, you can hear his borrowed heartbeat gradually slow as he begins to drift off. You nestle against him, safe and sound in the arms of a killer, and go back to sleep.

How exactly does clothing work for the monster guys in your inhuman AU? Is there anything like specific means of dressing or accessorizing? For centaurs, nagas, driders, harpies, etc. especially. Clothing and accessories would have to be tailored around the parts of their bodies that are inhuman.
Ah, I've talked a bit about this in another post's reblogs.
@fidenciothecryptidgent said-
"My personal theories would be that the majority of day to day clothing is fairly loose with straps to help adjust to go over tails or wings or spines and plenty of clothes tend to have backless versions or even what's basically a removable back but maybe fashionably hidden (maybe buttoned down or kept tucked etc). Wide bottom pants might be favored depending on how clawed everyone is in the non human au (firmly believe Lion claws on feet will shred up any pants that are tighter than regular fit or boot cut)
I always imagined the equivalent of low back pants with ribbons/ties to go over tails as the standard for day to day outfits for folks with tails
Backless stuff for the wingeds or those with back ridges and a not so small amount of tube top type of clothing for ease (depending on floof on shoulders and chest cause having hair etc stuffed under clothing is uncomfortable) or just sleeveless shirts with wide arms for some since there's probably plenty with ridges, feathers or spines or even wings on their arms and if you need something to keep your arms warm then you'd get the appropriate thing.
Fancier stuff is gonna have to be fitted and tailered
But that's just personal opinions and theories lol"
Which makes a lot of sense. Now as for something like a drider or a centaur, it will only be the human part covered. Something like bottoms would be too much effort to make and wear aside from something to just keep their junk covered.
Also, for things like shoes he once again added-
"The world is likely fairly catered to getting battered from foot traffic and having to tough out strong nonhumans. I imagine depending on the feet such as hooves they'd probably wear something like large booties (think those giant dog shoes etc) but with good sturdy layers. Sturdy rubber sole, stiff middle layer to help with support so that the rubber sole isn't worn down too quickly while added support plus a cushiony layer on the inside for comfort and to make sure the middle layer isn't crunched on from the weight.
I wonder if due to the difficulty of trying to cater to so many different body types there would be a greater variety of accessories but for functionality. Like spray on rubber for shoes if you need better traction (similar to spray on waterproofing you see in hardware stores and outdoors supply stores), ways to add straps (basically broad straps/sashes that can kinda button/pin to stuff if the clothes don't quite fit or have enough strap etc). Basically just way more ways to help things fit."
So yeah, the custom clothing business would be making big bucks since there would be a lot of different body types needing clothes.

You know how you always find it strange that your ‘little insignificant’ plot bunnies are the ones that get traction….well here I am on the soulmarks AU still losing my mind. Like LOSING IT.
I love soulmarks, antematter converted me with bloom, which is astoundingly beautiful, and my attraction is that they’re so sweet and heartwarming and tender - but now you’ve completely transformed them for me. The idea of Anthony being feral over her mark, the possessiveness, his and Kate teasing him with it. You’ve changed the game. I can’t stop thinking about it.
Once again, you nailed it!!!!
Hahaha it's so true. I clearly have no idea what people will be into, because I can't tell you how many times I've been like "this is random but whatever I already wrote it" and then people are into it and have all these headcanons for it. It's so fun.
Antematter is the soulmark queen! I also really like The Universe Laughs At Anthony Bridgerton by TeaBrigadier.
Don't want to be pushy since you said you didn't intend to expand on the drabble but Mark sounds like it would be such a sweet and spicy story. (I want to see the dude try it with "close enough" 👀)
Well I wasn't planning to write any more because I wasn't thinking there would be a lot of plot/drama. (Not that you can't have those things with soulmate fics...I just didn't envision this fic that way.) But if everyone would be down for a one-shot where they're just really horny and in love and there's no angst, I'll consider writing it.
Your soulmark AU is one of the best I’ve ever read, truly. And I love that we got just a snippet of them together at the end, idk, it just really works in this. I enjoy when you expand your AUs with headcanons though, do you have any in particular for this one?
Thank you so much! I think we've tackled a lot already (you can go through the "for you i am fragile" tag if you missed any posts). Here's a few more:
Kate likes to bite Anthony's shoulder during sex, right where his mark is.
They fudge the details of how they met (a common theme in my fics, I'm realizing) and then Ben blows it by accidentally letting something slip from that night and his family is like what???
Anthony didn't want to meet his soulmate because he blamed the soulmate connection for why Violet was catatonic after Edmund's death. So he never actively searched for her. But when Ben called to say he found Anthony's soulmate and was going to sleep with her, it just didn't sit well with him, so he went not really intending to do anything but know who she was and cockblock Ben. And then they saw each other and it was pretty much all over from there. But it does still scare him, feeling so much for someone and potentially leaving either of them in that kind of grief.
I think this is true across most AUs: Kate always thought she would hate having a guy stuck to her like glue, but she loves it with Anthony. Neither of them truly understood what having a soulmate would feel like. They quite literally can't get enough of each other.
Kate's Amma and Appa were soulmates, but Mary and her Appa weren't, so Kate just grew up feeling like you could love and be happy with someone who isn't your soulmate and people put too much pressure around it.
Anthony says I love you after a month. He doesn't love her just because they're soulmates, but everything he knows about her shows him why they are soulmates. They are so alike but also complement each other in the most important ways.
Kate also never thought she would like possessiveness, but by god does it work for her with Anthony. Any time another guy hits on her (which happens a lot, because look at her) Anthony has her in some dark corner growling "you're mine" and she melts in his arms.

How affected (if at all) are you by your stats and comments?
I find it can be very stressful and both uplifting or depressing so I’m wondering if it ever gets better
Hi! Sorry, I meant to reply to this earlier today, but then I got distracted by the bird distribution system.
I won't lie, I am affected by it. I'm really very lucky that I do get a lot of engagement on my work, especially Remi's Version but I'm a people pleaser at heart and I never had many friends so I've always just wanted people to like me 🤷♀️ Just being brutally honest. It's a nice change to be appreciated or considered 'good' at something.
I try not to look at numbers too much. Comments are the big one obviously, they're very uplifting and what keeps you going and I do notice how many I get. Everything else I try not to really see.
I think it helps that I like to write things almost to completion before I post them (Truth & Talon being a notable exception) so they're done and I'm not reliant on engagement for motivation.
I also take note of what's realistic to expect before I post too. So like...the Empyrean's a weird fandom. People don't seem to like Modern AU's that much and a lot of people won't read pairings outside of Xaden/Violet. Nothing against those people or anything, it's just...strange. It's very different from my experience in other fandoms. Because of this, I know going in that if I post a Sloane/Dain piece or a Mira/Drake piece, it's getting nowhere near the traction a Xaden/Violet piece would get.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I don't know if that feeling ever goes away, for me it's rooted in my trauma lol, I think I've just gotten lucky enough that it's not a big issue for me right now 😔

hello twst tumblr... particularly those who enjoy idiavil... i don't know who to share these ideas with so i have decided to post them here.
the idiavil brainrot is constant. persistent. so is the twst brainrot in general but not a day will go by where i don't think about idiavil at least once. this has caused a whopping 21 different fics ideas to form in my brain. some i like a lot more than others and so i wanted to ramble about my favorites. these may eventually show up on my ao3 (EdgarAllanFruitbowl), possibly posted on here as well, but i'm kind of drowning in school work and just life in general so idk.
ANYWAYS!!! i have a few general fics i wld like to write (arcade date, mutual pining, ghost au) but i honestly have more oddly specific ideas.
first of all, a pokémon fic. i like the idea of them being in the pokémon canon universe, but the idea of a fic where idia just infodumps about pokémon and vil builds a team and they battle eachother... it tickles my brain right. i personally feel like vil would enjoy pokemon but idia would be more into it... i think vil enjoy stuff more like animal crossing and stardew valley. idk i just can't exactly picture him playing pokémon or the legend of zelda and enjoying it like idia would.
NEXT FIC IDEA. this is one of two mutual pining fics i have written down. it's less mutual pining, more idia being idia and vil just isn't sure how to feel about liking idia romantically. very specifically, i got the idea from won't say i'm in love from hercules. i ADORE that song, and it just feels super vil-coded to me. i mostly imagine the "muses" in this situation (basically just the people trying to get vil to stop denying his feelings) would be ortho and epel. epel because he's also in pomefiore (and i also LOVE HIM), and ortho because of the film studies club (but also because he'll have relevance since it's idiavil). ortho wld know about how both parties are interested but he wld keep it a secret. i also think that ortho and epel wld be like their matchmakers... i love ortho and epel as a duo, i think they'd wreak a lot of havoc together. other than that it's kind of basic compared to my other fic ideas but i still love it a lot.
THIRD FIC IDEA. i only recently came up w this one and jotted it down frantically on the bus so i don't rlly have much of a concept yet but an actor au, either stage or like tv actors. i know acting is out of character for idia but he could always be in the tech crew... also its an au i can write him a little ooc if i want.
FINAL FIC IDEA I WILL SHARE FOR THIS POST. I SAVED MY FAVORITE FOR LAST. BAND AU. ok so it's more like a singer/stand alone artist au. i think abt this au so much it's not even funny. i have a ton written down but this post is already long enough so i'll sum it up, if for some reason this idea gains traction i'll post more abt it again. this takes place like one or two years in the future? idkfs yet. idia and vil are both individual artists but enjoy each other's music a lot despite the contrast in style. after a few interviews and messages they end up making a song together, which then turns into a few songs, and oh no now they're in love. i eat breathe sleep this au i don't even know why i haven't started writing for it yet (because i have adhd and school is kicking my ass) . ANYWAYS THATS IT. i thoroughly enjoy rambling abt these fics but also idiavil in general so comments/responses are encouraged if u feel like it. i will probably respond at lightspeed unless i am sleeping. farewell idiavil nation 🫡

---------
"I don't believe in fairytales, Genya." Rika stated with a mear shrug, her eyes leaving the young innkeeper as she glances back at the picture etched into the aged paper of a wolf, baring its large teeth at a little girl cowering against a tree deep into dark woods. She closes the burgundy leather clad book, setting it back down atop the dark oak front desk that Genya had tapping his finger against, the tapping in sync with his anxious leg bobbing, causing small whines to leave the old floorboards.
He only grunts in response, his jaw taught as he almost seemed to be grinding his teeth behind his tight lips. It wasn't new to Rika about his behavior, but something about it of all nights felt... Off.
"What? Don't believe in the Big, Bad Wolf?" Genya stated - almost genuine, and Rika would have considered it so if it weren't for the slightly raising of his brows that implicated his comment was supposed to be taken with humor.
Rika returned it with a grin splaying across her lips, bringing a hand up to the end of her crimson colored hood, tugging at it like one would tipping a hat, the action causing some of her Prussian hair to fall at her shoulders from where it had been hidden behind the vibrant fabric. "If that were true, I wouldn't have a job, now would I?" She strides across the room, not leaving Genya's train of eyesight - both not daring to break it just yet.
"To say The Big Bad Wolf would be insinuating the folks around this village believe we're dealing with a Werewolf problem which, of course, is ridiculous." Rika says, Genya tilting his head ever so slightly, eyes squitning just a tad, as though he wasn't curious by the theory, but almost offended.
"Even then, the problem is as obvious as finding the difference between water and wine." Rika gives a lopsided grin, leaning a window at the front of the dimly lit inn.
"Sheep and other wildlife disappearing or found mangled is a simple conclusion: it's just a pack of hungry wolves - actual wolves, I mean. And they just need to be relocated or taken care of."
She turns to the window, using two of her fingers to pry open the dark fusia curtains, just enough to take a peek outside and see her horse chewing at a few weeds that had crept from a few floorboards beneath near the stone streets. For some reason, she didn't feel comfortable on the idea of leaving him out there any longer, wanting to get him to a stable soon before the sun had fully set in only a few minutes.
"Look at that moon... It's beautiful tonight." Rika spoke, her voice a little softer now, dual colored eyes trained on the full pale beauty in the night sky, glistening against her iris’s of blue and pink. "Wven in the dark of night, something about their always being a light, even behind murky clouds... It makes you feel safe, doesn't it?"
"Funny." Genya spits bitterly, his voice breathy and muttered - but Rika caught the venom, almost feeling as though it was aimed at her. "It's funny what the moon does to people." He finishes after a second of silence, now seeing he had Rika’s attention.
Genya's execcent tapping against the counter came to a halt as his nail dug into the carvings, making a small squeaking noise at the traction of his nail splintering into it. He pulls away from it, trudging toward where Rika once was, eyes trained on the book, his buckled boots dragging across the floor, making a noise that didn't bring comfort to Rika, her brows furrowing.
"For most, it brings comfort, a feeling of safety," he picked it up, flipping through the pages, his fingers skimming along the assorted jumble of paragraphs and such, matched with pictures and depictions- his dark eyes lingering on a picture of a man, almost in aogny as his body began to morph into a clawed, fanged, yellow-eyed beast.
"For others, it's a curse, an omen, a warning... For people like me." He snaps the book shut with a feirce 'crack!' As the pages collided shut once more- earning a little flinch from Rika, who had now forgotten her attention on the sky outside, and kept her cautious gaze on the man in front of her.
"Genya... You're scaring me." She speaks, her voice faltering ever so slightly to prove that point, but she still kept her ground, finding her hand slowly making its way toward the hilt of her weapon, hidden behind her cloak.
"I know." Genya bluntly confirms, finally standing to his full height instead of hunched over the table. Something about him made him almost look taller now. "I can hear your panicked breathing."
The statement had already set enough alarm bells off in Rika’s head, enough for her to start backing away from her close friend- which she immediately regretted, cause Genya must've taken it as a challenge, and with each step she took backwards, he took a step forward.
"What good ears you have." Rika would have said it in a sarcastic dry tone if it weren't for the tremor in her voice, keeping her vocals to a mere mumble.
The pit in her stomach grew deeper and steeper with each step, unable to tear her eyes from Genya, almost in fear that if she did, he'd take that chance and jump at her. Hell. She didn't even want to blink. She felt so... Hunted.
"The better to hear your pretty little heart racing with."
In that moment, watching the cautious steps he took, the way his body almost hunched like an animal hiding in bushes and trees, his eyes trained and laser focused, not a sound coming from him other than his voice. He was like an animal stalking.
And she was prey.
"I can see it too. See your heart pounding in your ribcage... I can see it all." His eyes were like empty sockets, nothing but a blazing gold in place of iris’s that put the dim candlelight in the Inn to shame.
"W-what good eyes you have." Again, Rika stated, and with each one, she was beginning to see a side of Genya she knew she wasn't supposed to see. As a matter of fact, one she was supposed to ever find out about.
"The better to gaze at that face of yours morph into fear." Genya explained almost subtly, like it was passing conversation, his voice low and quiet - different from his usual behavior and mannerism. Rika didn't like it. This wasn't Genya. This wasn't her Genya.
It only took one final step before Rika felt the sensation of the wall, and the pit in her stomach formed so large that she was surprised it hadn't swallowed her whole. The beating in her chest started to sound louder, thundering in her ears so hard in almost hurt. The grip on her weapon stayed firm- but that's where it stayed, her body almost frozen with fear and defeat, leaving her unable to draw put and ready herself for the ever coming attack.
And now, finally unable to escape, she watched helplessly as Genya got closer - painfully slow in doing so, as if he was enjoying the sight as she realized she was cornered and unable to run. Not this time.
His lips curled into something sinister, all teeth and no smile, suddenly, pearly white fangs on display, prodding from his dark gums, his jaw tense and causing the muscles along his neck and collarbone to strain.
"W... What big teeth you have." Rika swallowed thickly, her throat feeling suddenly dry, her body both hot and cold as a sweat begins forming on the back of her neck, and a chill slithers up her spine, like daggers drawing into her skin. Her face was hot, and she thanked heaven above it was too dark to see the red shade her skin had began to become.
At this point, Genya is already too close for comfort. His now clawed hands were splayed out at each side of her face, his face far enough Rika begin could examine the new features starting to become apparent under the moonlight still creeping through the sliver of opened curtains... But he was close enough she could hear the low growl emiting from his throat with his slow rise and fall of his chest.
Genya opened his mouth as though to finish this little banter of words between them, but he simply laughs, a low, slow laugh, his head lolling to the side as he brings his face close to the side of her own, his almost manelike hair tickling against her tan skin, causing goosebumps to ripple along her shoulder.
He brings his hand down from where it was perched, his knuckle barely brushing against her cheek, the cold meeting her warmth was enough to even make him shudder. Tugging a long strand of her dark hair from where it was hidden behind her pointed ear, playing with the strand between his fingers.
"Now that you believe it," He starts, his voice gravelly and low, animalistic, something she hadn't heard out of him before. "Tell me something, Rika..." His breath was hot against her ear, making her hiss ever so slightly between her teeth, trying to cock back from the feeling, but only making contact with his other arm, caging her in.
"Are you scared of the Big, Bad Wolf?"

Hi again, Miru! Sorry to bother, im always so curious. I've got two questions: 1. Do you think Onceler AU askblogs could still do well in this day and age? Im still seeing some of them alive but they gain very little traction most of the time, barely enough to even keep going. 2. What does lerkimpails mean? Keep seeing it a lot, no idea what it refers to. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!! :D
Hi! Don't be sorry! Around 2014-2015 the regular fandom tags like #onceler and #the lorax started getting filled more and more with outside people hating on the fandom, so the fandom agreed on using more discreet tags so that we could see things without having to sift through all the negativity. You can see all the alternate tags here: https://swaggermimint.tumblr.com/post/110118338700/we-need-new-tags
Not all of them are relevant anymore obviously, but as you can see, #lerkimpails is a tag for anything related to askblogs. Over time though and with so many new people joining the fandom, awareness of those tags got lost, but I'm sure some people still use them and/or follow them today.
As for your first question, I am wondering...what is your definition of "doing well"? Do you need 100 notes per post to consider it "enough traction to keep going"? Or maybe you can be satisfied enough just enjoying something with your friends..? If you're only making an askblog expecting to get attention then in my opinion I think you'd be setting yourself up for disappointment... When I worked on my first Audrey askblog in 2012-2013, all her posts back then had an average of only 2-8 likes and 0 reblogs, and half the time I had to send anon asks to her blog myself, but I kept going because I was just so excited to put my ideas and headcanons out there for those 2-8 people, and I still consider it one of the most fun times I've ever had in the fandom. So it all really depends on your perspective and mindset! If you're passionate about something, you will naturally keep going, and the right people will find you and support you.
That all said, if there's an askblog you want to see more of, and if you have the time and energy to do so, you could be brave and engage with them! Send them asks, share them with your friends, tell the mod you like their oc etc, I'm sure everyone agrees it can really make someone's day.
#miruask#etsulovesonceler#i feel like this past year my irl stresses have left me more exhausted than ever so i don't have the energy to engage as much as i used to#but it's nice to see others still doing it! ;v;#i hope your day is wonderful too

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you for the tag @aawrightworth!
1. How many works do you have on A03? 31!
2. What's your total A03 word count? 259,660! ...woah
3. What fandoms do you write for? Mostly Ace Attorney! Though I do have another published fic for Dungeons and Daddies, and a couple more WIPs for other fandoms in the future
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Woo fun!
The Things We Agree to Believe are True
Double Date
Taking the Lead (NSFW)
The Essential Guide to Avian Development
And I Will Stay with You Through Spring (NSFW)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? *Yes,* absolutely! Honestly, comments (and responding to them) are probably one of my favorite parts of actually publishing fic. I get a lot of joy from writing them, but seeing and hearing from other people that liked them too, or share the same headcanons? *chef's kiss*
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Honestly, probably my most recent one, Her Brother's Keeper. I don't typically write "bad ending" fics, so this one was definitely a big step for me haha
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again, most of the things I write have happy endings, so this is hard 😂
I personally really love it when "the war is over" and they can finally just get married and be CHILL so I'd have to say either "The Things We Agree to Believe are True" or "The Essential Guide to Avian Development."
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really, thankfully! I've had a couple comments from John Phoenix here and there but I don't take it personally.
9. Do you write smut? Sometimes! I have a bad habit of writing smut that Must Have 10K Words of Prelude First, and while I am trying to "break" that habit, I actually really enjoy a story to go with it!
10. Do you write crossovers? I actually did write one for the Wright Anything Zine a few months ago! Of course, it was DnDads x Ace Attorney, and I... need to publish it lol
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Oh goodness, not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No I haven't! I haven't had much of anything with that much traction though, but it would be cool in the future!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I would love to! I was actually talking through it with a friend a while back.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship? Of course I love Narumitsu, but I don't know if it's my "all time favorite..." I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head!
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Ironically enough, it's also the first Ace Attorney fic I ever wrote! It's a farmer Phoenix AU in which Miles also has amnesia, and over the course of his recovery they of course fall in love (dawwww). I would also love to add more to the Elfworth series! I have. His whole life planned out lol
16. What are your writing strengths? To be honest, I'm not completely sure! I like to think I can come up with original plots or ideas, but I know I still have a lot of work to do.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Sometimes I have some trouble connecting my points or writing "effective" scenes, amongst other things. (dang now these questions are making me want to keep up with this...)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I don't do it too often! Typically if I do include it, I'll either use something that is very common knowledge or provide a translation in the author's notes. Having said that, I've written some unpublished stuff for Avian AU where Phoenix and his mother are talking, and in *that* case I just wrote the dialogue in English with a clarification that they are speaking a different language. I'm always so nervous about getting a translation wrong though lol
19. First fandom you wrote for? Ohh man. Probably My Little Pony or Minecraft to be honest. Don't ask; you'll never see them and they're written in missing notebooks anyway 😂
20. Favourite fic you've ever written? AHH THIS IS SO HARD! I love a lot of my fics just so so much. I absolutely adore Avians and the Elfworth series, just because I love writing AUs and coming up with lore and everything. I also really really enjoy Kindergarten Cop and Great Big Leaps because I love writing little kids and how they act because they make me laugh.
I think overall, though, my most favorite would have to be "The Things We Agree to Believe Are True." It was fun, experimental, and just a really euphoric way to write a new story as I was getting through my senior year. I had a blast with it, and I'm always so thankful that it got so much support, as well!
Feel free to ignore the tags if you like (I know I'm hopping on this a little late lol), but answer if you feel like it! @kbots @edwirdon (and also just a blanket tag for anyone that might feel like answering!)

HI ANNA<3 here i am with more asks. 1 again :), 5, 12, 18, 22, 30 ?
HI ABBY <3 :D thank you for the questions!!
the last sentence you wrote
Instead she purchases two hundred gold pieces worth of ruby dust, still the apprentice she has always, always been.
this is actually from a little story about my wizard jane :) she's in this thing right now where her dead mentor is alive again (kinda) and is communicating with her/puppeting her in her sleep through that eye she stole. has she figured out that that eye maybe needs to come out? well, if that happened, she could someday be alone, so no.
5. first sentence of the fifth paragraph of an unpublished WIP (sifting through 1000000000000 WIPs)
The radio crackles, promising favorites of yesterday and today, and Pike knows that fucking guitar intro—of all the songs—I love you like organ failure / It’s never, ever gonna get better.
this document is called 'yeah screw it pike pov' because maybe nobody cared about the last au but god damn i had a great time with it so there will be more
12. a trope you’re really into right now
i've been nonstop every night for the last week reading 'reborn as a villainess' stories. so you could say i'm into it. it may have taken over my life a bit - i kinda wish it was more of a thing in the fic spaces i'm in! i like 'OC/Self-Insert dropped into the world' a lot but i think it would be very fun to do this 'ooooooh what if fate has already doomed me' that all of these stories explore
18. if you keep them, share a deleted sentence or paragraph from a published fic
i don't usually keep them! i know it's something a lot of people do, and i'm sure i have a few in a paper notebook somewhere, but if something in a fic isn't working i just say goodbye and delete it
22. do you ever worry about public reaction to what you’re writing? how do you get past that?
oh constantly. not in a 'will this be popular' way (i write my own ideas and i never think they're going to gain a lot of traction, since i tend to write for things that are a few years old/have really established Big Fics already) but i do have that little voice in my head that says 'if you get one single detail wrong... someone will comment about it and you will Die.' but that has happened before - the one that comes to mind is d20 fans talking about me mixing up the names of the side schools - and guess what? i did not die. the more old and established something is, the less afraid of this i actually am (star wars is old enough that so much stupid shit has happened in it who cares if i let them use paper. i'm not taking your fucking star wars vocab quiz i'm writing about these people wanting to fuck so bad it makes the galaxy look stupid) but in the past it has lead to me talking myself out of writing things, which is pretty sad!
i just try to remind myself that this is For Fun, and that i have never actually been exploded for getting details wrong in a fanfiction that, again, i do for free in my spare time that maybe forty people will read. it's a mixed bag.
30. share a fic you’re especially proud of
you may think i'm going to talk about small jobs for the millionth time because it is my beloved my shining star my castle in the air but in this case! i would like to give a little extra love to and stand by with the champagne which is. undeniably. about barbie princess and the pauper. it's fun!! it was UNBELIEVABLY fun to write. it's silly and a little bit emotional and references the songs of a movie i played until the vhs wore out, i wrote it on a whim last summer, and i hold it in my heart <3

🚿🦗🤷♀️and 🏡
🚿 Where do your best ideas seem to strike? I know the joke here is in the emoji, but I do genuinely get a lot of my ideas in the shower. I'm using "ideas" loosely here, because I get Big Fic Ideas fuckin. all the time without any warning. But usually, my actual writing starts with dialogue and I fill in the thoughts and description around the central conversation, and for some reason, it's so easy for me to come up with natural-sounding dialogue while I'm zoned out on muscle memory in the shower. It's also a fun way to make the natural facial expressions and gestures that accompany the conversation without getting weird looks, because no one can see me. :)
🦗 Do you write in sequence or jump around? Depends on the fic. For one-shots or shorter fics, it's usually in sequence because it's contained enough that the general layout of it is just kinda in my head. For longer fics or nebulous AUs that don't have an established plotline, I jump around more. Mostly because if I have an idea for a scene, I need to write it down or I WILL lose it. And if I get to the point where it's supposed to go and decide I need to rework it or not use it, that's fine, but the alternative is getting to that point and thinking "man, I had that really good idea a month ago and I can't remember it." And that sucks so bad.
🤷♀️ What's a fic you didn't expect to be popular, but really took off? This is tough because I don't really ever expect any of my fics to be popular(tm). I don't think of myself as a Big Name Writer in any of the fandoms I've written for, so I'm always kind of surprised when something I write gets enough traction to escape my immediate sphere of friends and fellow freaks (affectionate). For Halo, the one that surprised me was the very first ask prompt I answered (the johntana national girlfriend day one). That one still gets a weird surge of notes from time to time that a lot of the other short prompt fics don't. For non-Halo, I think it was the one I did for a Borderlands art trade, the one where the reader is part of the camera crew for the Calypso Twins. I thought it was going to be too specific to appeal to as wide of an audience as it ended up getting.
🏡 What is your perfect writing environment? Pen and paper + silence or unobtrusive music and no interruptions. Physical writing keeps me from worrying about it being perfect on the first try, so I can get a bunch out at once and worry about edits later.

I want to ask about ALL THE FIC but I'll restrain myself. Okay. How about mommies & daddies always come back?
Y'know how it's great when you read a fanfic and you can tell that the author clearly knows a lot about a certain topic, enough to be able to be oddly specific about it? That's this fic for me, and the topic -- working in early childhood education.
It's an AU where Pike is Kaylie's daycare teacher at the time that Scanlan comes back into Kaylie's life, and them falling in love and navigating what the means as Scanlan's figuring out fathering and co-parenting and Pike's incredibly conscious of how she plays into that dynamic. it's actually a bittersweet tale -- with a hopeful ending, of course, because Pike and Scanlan will always find their way back together regardless of how long it takes them to go on their own paths.
the title comes from something that I overheard while working at daycare, a fellow teacher comforting a child with the words -- "Mommies and Daddies always come back". which I then turned into a whole AU because I was like,"...How would someone like Pike, with her past, respond to hearing something like that?"...as one does!
as with a lot of my AU ideas, this idea is more or less completely plotted out in bullet points. at the moment, I don't think that I'll ever get to it, but who knows! I'm officially moving on to brighter and better pasture in my career in 2024 and mayhaps, one day, I may just be wistful and nostalgic enough about my daycare years to wanna write a lil fic about it.
here's some snippets from my notes:
Chapter 2: introduce Scanlan
Chapter starts with Scanlan coming to pick up Kaylie
Some of the other teachers are eyeing him as he comes. Pike laughs with them but doesn’t join in despite her co-teacher egging her on
It’s been a couple months since Scanlan has started picking up regularly.
Kaylie runs up to Scanlan and Pike notes how similar they look to each other - same strong brow and big smile. Though Kaylie has her mother’s green eyes.
As they walk away, Pike watches them go and flushes when Scanlan looks back at her and smiles.
Charming, indeed.
Chapter 4: first date
That night, she calls Scanlan.
“You told Sybil about us.” Scanlan doesn’t hide anything. Yes, he did. He told Sybil as soon as he knew that he liked her. Pike reflects that that explains some of Sybil’s terse behavior to her a while back.
Pike expresses her concerns to him. She doesn’t want to ruin the delicate balance that Sybil and him have been working towards. Scanlan admits that he’s had some of the same worries, but he’s willing to give this a try if she will.
Pike asks him out. He agrees.
Chapter 5: Limbo
What do you want?” You. This. But, Pike pulls back. She’s still Kaylie’s teacher. Everything Scanlan has with his family is still so new. They can’t do this yet.
Not yet.
They share one last kiss before parting ways.
Chapter 6: Epilogue, Years Later
Pick-ups are a bit more awkward but, soon enough, Kaylie graduates and moves on to Kindergarten. They stay in touch. Scanlan pursues his music further. Pike eventually returns to school to pursue social work.
They grow separately yet together.
Pike watches Scanlan gain more traction on Youtube, including one viral hit. She attends a couple of his local shows. When she scores her dream job, Scanlan is one of the first people she texts about it.
About two years later, they run into each other.
~It’s a beautiful new beginning~
#WIP meme#Pikelan#some of these ideas i hold the endings close to my chest#but i'm so sure that i won't get to this one that i'm like 'ENJOY IT ALL!!'

20 questions For Fic Writers
thank you so much for taggin me, @colettebronte
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
All of six (although some unfinished) fics. However, I have written about fifty all in all, most of them are just up on my old livejournal. I haven't posted them on AO3 because no one would read them anyway.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
159 307 words.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently Brigderton. And I have this Stucky WIP that I really do still intend on finishing. Other than that, I have written quite a bit for Doctor Who, Torchwood, SPN RPF and of course, Harry Potter (Remus/Sirius forever).
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
our love is these days' piano (penthony)
R&R (rose/doctor)
(and in between i drink) black coffee (spn rpf)
be kind, unwind (spn rpf)
water out of wine (the aforementioned stucky wip)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I used to reply to every comment, back on LJ and on AO3 as well, but I was not prepared for the amount of comments I got for OLITDP. I couldn't keep up and ran out of new ways to say "thank you so much <3" so I haven't replied to any in a while. But every comment I get on the final chapter will definitely get a response.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
None that are on AO3. Life is stressful enough as it is, I just want my blorbos to be happy. Some of my earlier HP-fics were kind of angsty, mostly because I didn't quite do AU's yet. So there were lots of sad character moments for Remus and Sirius.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Pretty much all of them? Back when I started writing fics, I wrote a few with sad endings, but now I'll keep it ambiguous at the very least.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
One person commented on the first chapter of OLITDP that I should "be more obvious with self inserting and write OC/Anthony." Does that count?
I found it hilarious because a) I don't see how there's anything wrong with writing OC's and b) I genuinely was not self inserting.
But other than that, no. I haven't nearly gained enough traction to get hate.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I (anonymously!) wrote one smutty fic once and I still feel uncomfortable about it. As far as writing is concerned, it's just not my cup of tea. So much respect to the people who do, though.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Alas, no crossovers. If I ever think of a good idea for one, I would love to try my hand at it, though.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of. Again, I'm not even close to well known enough to have something like that happen.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
See above.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! I co-wrote a Remus/Sirius-fic with one of my LJ-besties at the time. I also started writing a fic with another LJ-friend that basically was Hogwarts: the Marauders Years. From what I remember, it was quite good, but it never got posted, I think.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I can't possibly. I can tell you for each fandom, but I could never choose just one. I could perhaps narrow it down to Remus/Sirius and Stucky. And Ten/Rose. And Jack/Ianto. And J2. And Penthony.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The Stucky WIP, without a doubt. It's possibly some of the best writing I've ever done. I think.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm definitely not saying I always hit the mark, but I do feel that whenever I've written something I'm kind of proud of, it's usually to do with explaining someone's feelings without outright stating them.
I like delving into the psychology of emotionally stunted characters and trying to convey exactly how ignorant they are about their (and others') feelings. And I think I'm usually best at that when I write dialogue.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
DESCRIPTIONS. I HATE THEM. THEY ARE THE WORST. If I get stuck on writing a chapter it is always, 100% that which I get stuck on.
Like for OLITDP, 65% of the coming chapters has been written, all through dialogue. Getting from one spoken line to the next, however, is THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've written a few school plays, which have been in my native tongue (Dutch) and that's okay. But it would feel weird writing dialogue in a language which is not part of the fandom. Maybe I could squeeze in a few lines of badly written French if the plot really called for it, I guess?
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter, which was my main and only fandom for about 10 years.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Maybe my Stucky WIP? There's some bits in there that are quite good.
I'm also quite proud of Be Kind, Unwind (my first J2 AU and first and only finished Big Bang) and Cut Here (a J2 version of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).
Honourable mention to Midnight, which is a (partial and unposted) rewrite of a Harry Potter-fic I started writing almost 20 years ago. Not necessarily because it's particularly well-written, but I did enjoy taking some of my older work and rewriting it in my current style. It's kind of neat to see how my writing's evolved.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading my silly rants on my silly writing.
Tagging @writingwhilecaffeinated, @doom-cookie1, @princessgotham21 and @queen-of-the-wallflowers15 and everyone who feels like doing it!

20 questions for writers
i was tagged by @isnt-it-pretty! thank you for the tag!!! this looks so fun!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
currently 4 (but there's another on the way soon)
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
30,992 atm !!!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
i've posted my work for haikyuu!! and genshin, but i also write for mdzs/cql and honestly. whatever fandom gets my attention. (i have an inuyasha wip im working on, and some orv stuff too)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
i actually only have 4 works but:
follow the tide (with the monsters on your shoulder) for genshin
the world is simplified for kings (to them, all men are subjects) for haikyuu!! (yeah the title is really long but. i'm fond of it)
to touch the sun (and keep on soaring) for haikyuu!!
i will die facing the sun for haikyuu!!
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
as far as i know, i've responded to every comment i've received !!! i love engaging with my readers. it's also easier since i don't have any really popular fics.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i don't tend to write unhappy endings and i also only have 4 fics posted. but to touch the sun might have the angstiest ending in the sense that tooru's issues still aren't resolved by the end of the fic. my snf au (current wip) ends on a bittersweet note on account of the mcd inherent to the premise.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
my happiest ending so far is probably the world is simplified for kings, since the brazil fling get to have a nice time as they fall in love with volleyball. i will die facing the sun also has an optimistic ending, but it isn't guaranteed that oikawa will win at the olympics.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
i'm not well known enough for that LOL
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i haven't yet but it's in the cards !!!
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
i don't write crossovers for the most part. i write fusions/AUs and those can get pretty wild. the craziest is probably my wolf's rain au. i don't think i'll ever write a crossover but i wouldn't count it out!! i've read some good ones. maybe i can be convinced.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of. i don't think any of my writing has enough traction for that.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
nope but maybe ill translate some of my own work. and i'm open to it if anyone offers.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
none currently posted!!! but i do have a project i'm working on with a friend.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
all-time favorite is really hard bc ranking the strength of my hyperfixations against each other is just cruel. my all-time favorites (plural) are probably haikaveh, iwaoi, and levtsukki.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
ideally. follow the tide is not one of these. i have a lot planned out that i just haven't written or posted. the one that i probably will never finish is living tomorrow. it's an iwaoi relationship study that i really, really want to write but have lost my connection with. i need to find my thoughts on them again and recalibrate and rewrite my current draft if i'm ever going to finish it. but maybe i will!!
16. What are your writing strengths?
i'm not sure. i think i have a remarkable ability to commit to the bit with weird fusions and au's but i haven't really posted those. no matter how silly the idea, i can usually get pretty invested (like my wolf's rain au writing and fanart), and that doesn't really depend on how interested other people are in it. support is nice but not always necessary.
one of my main goals in writing is to get in a character's headspace. i'm a big fan of immersion and understanding who they are and how they think. i try to capture that in writing while adding lots of small personal details to help flesh out the character's life. based on some of the comments i've gotten, i haven't completely failed.
of course, if anyone has any ideas on what my writing strengths are, they're free to let me know <- blatant fishing for compliments
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
erm. well i have thousands of words in unpublished wips so. probably motivation. poor planning. a lot of it is inexperience. my imagery, repetitiveness, poor dialogue or description. those are all things to work on. if i were to look back at my published works, i'd probably cite a lot of the things i've improved on since then.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
oh no this one's controversial. well, i think that if you're writing dialogue in english (or whatever language the fic is in) and your characters are speaking another language. you have a few choices. if the characters say something in another language but you translate it, i would italicize that (ie. "Thank you," he said in Spanish.) if the characters are saying something in another language and it's written in that, i don't really mind whether it's italicized or not, BUT i think it has to be well executed. sometimes that depends on using the term properly, or also on. how in character it is for that character to do that. as a bilingual person, switching between languages/speaking other languages can get pretty complicated, so it really all depends on execution. i don't think that everything has to be translated in the text at that moment, but i think that everything should be translated eventually. footnotes are a good idea!!!! or it should be revealed later in the text, or in the author's notes. but i don't like it when it's never revealed or translated at all.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
warrior cats on ff.net but we dont talk about that. haikyuu on ao3. i wrote some inuyasha stuff in google docs in between but never finished or posted it.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
that i've posted? follow the tide. that i'm writing? ack. i really really like the snf au!!! but i like a lot of my other ideas too (daemon au my beloved). im very fond of my mdzs pacific rim au.
i'm tagging @conartisthaiji @monstrsball @wormcoded and anyone else who wants to participate !!

38, 41 (I’m always cruising for fic recs!) 42 & 48 ❤️
Thank you so much for playing!!! I appreciate the asks, and apologize for the amount of shit I about to write. I messaged you about losing this draft, but apparently tumblr just sent it to the bottom of my draft pile, so here we go! Putting it under a cut, because I went so overboard.
38: Did any of your fics get surprisingly popular (whatever that means to you)? Which ones? Why do you think they were so successful?
Alright, so this one is a little complicated. On the one hand, my most popular fic by far is Flint And Steel, but while the numbers definitely shocked me the most, it didn't surprise me. Most of my stuff is of side-pairings and f/f stuff, which isn't as popular in this fandom, so of course a fic with the big three of Jaskier, Geralt, and Yennefer is gonna get more traction in the form of shares and comments. The ones that surprised me though? The first two installments of my lady laiden smut series, Sweeter Than Pride and Collars of Many Kinds. Those two got awesome comments and bookmarks from people I didn't even recognize. And the sheer number of hits on them means there's definitely people re-visiting them, which is the highest kind of flattery on my smut fic.
41: Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
I refuse to choose only one, so buckle up, you're getting six. Also, to everyone I @'d, I hope you don't mind, I can remove it if you prefer.
I Am Bound To You (With A Tie I Cannot Break) by @on-a-lucky-tide. He did a fucking incredible job at conveying very complicated emotions in actions, and made me cry for entirely too long. I want to develop this skill so badly.
A Beginners Guide to Exploiting the Kaedweni Tax Code For Fun and Profit by @heronfem. If you ever want a masterclass in translating characterization to a modern au, this is IT. It's a massive Laiden-centered project with the whole found family along for the ride, and they handle the large cast beautifully. I've never really done a modern AU, but if I do and it's half this good, I'll be thankful.
Lives in Legacy by @tantumuna. This fic is is not only long enough to make me pass out in envy, every word counts. It explores a truly dark omegaverse with Eskel and Geralt, and there aren't words to describe it. I felt truly indescribable amounts of pain while reading this, even during the healing, and I'm so glad to have done it.
Snow and Dirty Rain by ajfanfic. It's a lovely little series of 70s lesbians Geralt and Jaskier living through that era as queer women and adopting butch lesbian Ciri. It's just a wonderful, well-researched AU, and I want to emulate that kind of grounded world.
Worthy of the Honey-Comb by @castillon02. It's a portrait of Vesemir coming to terms with Kaer Morhen's destruction and having to step up for the remaining wolves and form a new image of what it means to be a wolf witcher. Combines flashback and present moment so well it makes me ache.
Ballads by @linearao3. This is not a witcher fic like the rest, but it is one of the best examples of synthesizing omegaverse into a book's canon. This made me feel so many things, and again, all the details and worldbuilding just make it spectacular.
42: Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason?
My dear @hellinglasses has become a dear friend and has always been a wonderful cheerleader. Ever since the day she sent 9 comments on all my fics to my dry-as-the-desert inbox. Her efforts have helped me write so much more than I thought I could, and while I love going back to re-read them all, this one om Calm Before The Storm is probably one of my favorites.
This comment by Ledgea will forever hold a place in my heart, because it was the first comment I ever received, on the first fic I ever wrote. They made it into an amazing comment thread, and it was just so encouraging to me as a first-time writer. (EDIT: I put the wrong comment by mistake, because i was trying to limit myself)
48: What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
According to my history, the last fic i (re-re-re-re-)read was Cock in the Henhouse by the wonderful @halehathnofury. It's a hilarious, filthy Geralt x Eskel anthology, and I have entirely too many feelings about it. Excellent for a night when you just need to feel good all over.

So I'm currently going through this myself, oddly enough. I think, based on my own feelings about it, it would be good to ask yourself "why sun and moon"? The variety and familiarity of them I think makes a lot of things easy to start, but at some point it benefits from not being attached to the DCA. The designs and concept of celestial robots isn't unique to them, so you shouldn't be afraid to do "sun and moon but not fnaf" concepts. If the idea benefits from being an AU then by all means.
But me being someone whose ideas are always immediately forgotten, if they even get seen in the first place, regardless of the use of an AU I think you may have more fun if your instincts are saying to be original. My current projects both started as DCA AUs but after a point, I realized it was limiting to them.
The Free Runners don't even exist in our world. At this point, they're independent things that only share colors and naming themes, and even then it won't remain that way. They're not DCAs anymore.
The Hedgerow House was an idea to draw DCAs based around horror concepts, but after my friend pointed out they didn't "feel" like DCAs and how I'd be limited conceptually because of them, I dropped that aspect and focused on the horror instead. Now, I'm extremely happy I did.
No it will not get as much attention potentially as it would if it were DCA, but in my case at least it doesn't matter since any DCA content that wasn't fanart of another AU simply didn't get traction. For you, though, it may be your artistic side trying to tell you it's bored. That you need something new.
I think you should try the originality route. If nothing else, you may end up with something you enjoy making, even if it's not as popular.
I'd look at it either way simply because Space Western is my favorite guilty pleasure genre and I'd love to see more content of it, DCA-related or not.
Sorry for the long post, but this hit right in my gooey center so I wanted to share my feelings on it since I'm right there with you. <3
Hi guys, thank you for visiting my blog. I’m happy that lately, you liked my artworks of different fandoms such as Stellar City/Cyber Crew/Space Friends by @8um8le and short comic of Fairy AU by @ayyy-imma-ninja and Sundrop and Moondrop Space Western AU
Yesterday, I drew cowboy Sundrop and I planned to drop cowboy Moondrop and the new character, but at the moment it stopped me. I realized and asked the question myself “What I’m doing? Why I’m drawing this AU if it will be forgotten? Why I’m using these two characters and then dropping them in the middle? What if I will make characters which they will look like Sundrop and Moondrop but with different appearances? What if people will hate me? What if this idea of Space Western AU is bullshit?” These questions bother me a whole day. I should be honest I don’t know: should I drop the idea of Fnaf AU and create something new? I already dropped fnaf au fantasy and should I drop it?
Just tell me, give me some advice, help me.
Sorry for bothering you, have a good day.
