Neji Hyuga X Fem!Blind!Reader

The golden sunlight shone through the thin white curtains of your boyfriend's room. The warm summer air flew through the window and you sighed as it flew over your skin. You also sighed at the feeling of your boyfriend's strong arms around you, and the feeling of his breath against the inside of your neck. The feeling of things had always been something important to you, because it was the only way you could really connect with them, and touch, especially with Neji, was special.

“Don’t you find it odd?” you asked your boyfriend, as you drifted your hands over his cheeks.

“Hmm?” he asked, sleepily in your neck. Neji’s voice had always been calm, and slightly stern, but when he was with you his voice always lost its sharp edge. Your hands drifted into his hair as you talked.

“That your eyes are brilliant. And my eyes are…far from that.” you spoke into his hair, hands rubbing his back. It was a thought that often consumed her mind. Neji’s eyes were an amazing gift, he could see things many ninja could only wish to see, but you? Your eyes lacked even the basic ability to see. Maybe that's what made the two of you so perfect for eachother. 

“Not really. Your eyesight rarely passes my mind.” he lied, tips of his ears turning a light shade of pink. Your vision was constantly on his mind, whether he was worried or not. He maneuvered so you could rest your head on his chest and he could draw small circles on your back. You were happy to hear what he said, even if he was lying. You feared often that your eyes bothered him. You knew you were high maintenance, and you knew it would be hard for Neji to adjust, especially because eyesight had always been his speciality.  

“I don’t find it bothersome,” he said, practically reading your mind. He moved his hands down to your waist, drawing little shapes there as well. You smiled and curled deeper into Neji, his warmth taking hold of your small cold body. He held you tighter, and a peaceful silence took over the room. The sunlight that used to be a soft gold color had become deeper, more red and orange, it lit up your soft skin, and Neji couldn’t help but stare. You looked angelic, your H/c locks drifting around your face, flowing onto his chest. Your eyes were closed, long lashes brushing your flushed cheeks. He had never loved someone before, and growing up he was barely shown love in general, so it was hard for him to get used to it. but you didn’t mind. 

He didn’t deserve you. But you didn’t mind.

Okay! Can I know which yandere admin like to write as yandere and which characters she generally likes plus the characters she finds visually appealing for now I want to know about Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul! Thank you💕

Generally speaking, my faves to write about from each fandom I write for you can find here. I've created this post last year so that people would know which characters I like writing about especially.

My favorite characters from Naruto are Tsunade and Kakashi. Tsunade is my first Anime love so that in itself makes her quite special to me. Kakashi became my other favorite in the later half of Shippuden. To me he is just a great character and whilst there is obviously stuff that you can criticise about everyone, that doesn't take away that to me he is one of my beloved ones.

Visually appealing in Naruto I find Ino who is from the Konoha 12 the prettiest girl in my opinion. Kakashi and Tsunade are a given, especially Tsunade with her activated Byakugou Seal or Kakashi with his activated Sharingan. Konan with her piercing and paper jutsus indeed looked like an angel and Mei was just attractive. Pain with his Rinnegan, orange hair and many body piercings just looked very visually impressive and memorable. The Uchiha I believe were so overhyped when I first joined the fandom that I was too properly satiated to fully get behind the hype. My favorite Uchiha is Sasuke, the most attractive one would probably be Itachi. Shoutout to Kimimaro and Neji who left the series way too soon. It's a shame that those genes will never be carried on.

Most attractive from the male characters in Naruto I find Tobirama and from the female characters it is Tsunade.

My favorite character from Tokyo Ghoul is Kaneki. Probably a really boring pick but since the Anime went quite a different way from the manga for the second season so a lot of characters and their stories were changed. Kaneki was just a constant presence so obviously I had a very easy time to get attached to him.

Visually appealing in Tokyo Ghoul I obviously find Kaneki too. The version I find most attractive is him with his black hair in the later seasons. Touka and and Rize are two very attractive ladies and Washuu could still get it. I actively bemourn the fact that Arima never got as much screen time as he probably got in the manga and to this day I don't get how Akira with all her attractiveness could possibly be the daughter of Kureo. I'm usually not a big fan of any kinds of beards or facial hair but Renji is an exception. Nishiki I did not like in the first season but he looked attractive. Itori, Uta and Kaya... Honestly, between Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul I definitely believe that Tokyo Ghoul has the more visually appealing characters due to the animation and overall character design.

Most attractive from the male characters I definitely find Ayato though even if I did prefer his hair in the first two seasons. Most attractive from the female characters is Eto for me. She is completely insane and sadistic but damn does she look good.

I wanted to expand more and talk about one of my recent reblogs. Recently, I've reblogged a post, talking about how I do not think Gaara is that well-written, and I stand by that. But I wanted to better explain myself, cause I've been living in fear that I could get hate from Gaara fans, for expressing that opinion.

So, first things first: I do not hate Gaara. I like his character, think he's quite compelling, and has wells of untapped potential. So don't take this as hate. Something that we all know by now is that most Naruto characters, especially the side ones, don't really get that much development if at all, and generally, aren't that well-written. Kishimoto really didn't put much thought into his supporting cast; it's only a select few that were blessed with the privilege of getting actual development.

Gaara sits in a weird, awkward middle zone, where we know he developed and changed as a character, if we are to define development as: 'how the reader can observe the character changing step by step throughout the narrative. They can identify development by noticing how the character's traits change as the story progresses.' Source.

So we know he most definitely developed. The main issue is that none of that is ever shown onscreen. We never get to see him go through the process of slowly struggling and changing for the best, as we all know the road must've been hard for him. That's the first issue with his character. The actual process of his development is completely skipped over, only to show us the final end result. It's frustrating because we can also all agree that seeing how it happened and how he went from isolated and shunned monster to respected and beloved Kazekage with the support of his sibs, would've been quite interesting. It could've been solved by just giving the sand sibs another Gaara centric arc centered around him trying to change, even if just filler.

Speaking of his sibs: let us just say his bond with them actually requires some fixing as well. I know I talked smack about what I called his 'Naruto obsession', but I also wanna make clear I don't hate Gaanaru or anything. I don't mind it if people like to interpret him as having feelings for Naruto, which is certainly plausible. You do you. What I have a problem with is when Naruto gets in the way of him actually getting a healthy relationship with his sibs. Now, I'm also not implying their sibling bond is toxic or anything is just...... that it's barely there. Gaara, at no point in the series, shows his sibs any real fraternal affection. Never thanks them cause they stood by his side, never praises them, never thinks of them, never even takes them into consideration. In my reblog, I'd already presented the Gaara rescue arc as an example, showing how, while Kankuro thinks of him, Gaara only thought of Naruto. At the end of the arc, Naruto was also the only character to receive Gaara's gratitude.

But another example is the war arc. I know not many people like this arc, and many people didn't watch it either. The thing is, in this arc, the sand sibs were kinda divided: Kankuro was made leader of his own squad in charge of Sai, Omoi, and other background characters, while Temari was on the same squadron as Gaara, with him as the commander in charge. Now, let's keep in mind: this is a war they're fighting in. They're risking their lives against some of the most powerful characters ever introduced in the show, and in war, you always go knowing there's always a chance you could never see your loved ones again. Of course, we also know Kishimoto on top of not being fond of developing his side cast, is also not fond of the idea of killing them off, even in the most dangerous situations. It's only one angel who died (rip Neji), but it's the main idea that counts: war is dangerous.

So I ask you: how many times did Gaara think of his siblings, or show concern for them in this war? How many times was he shown worrying about them and hoping to see them well again at the end of the war? The answer is: none. Now, to be honest, I don't wanna sound like a hypocrite. Cause while Temari has a scene or two showing concern for Gaara and his safety, Kankuro also is at no point shown thinking or worrying about his sibs. So, what I wanted to make clear is this: you really can't compare Kankuro to Gaara, lmao. Kankuro is one of the most minor side characters in the whole cast. He's literally a side character to a side character. I think that canonically, in the manga, he only has his one fight vs. Sasori and Deidara (who were using Shin, Sai's brother from Root). He also gets a meeting with Edo Chiyo later on, but that's it. Even his fight against the grandma was anime filler. He's pretty much written out of the arc after that, to the point some sand sibs fans started wondering whether Kishimoto had actually KILLED HIM OFFSCREEN. Of course, you can't expect Kishi to remember him. You can't hold Kank and Gaara up to the same standards. Gaara, on the other hand, is one of the most popular and well-known characters, who had many more fights and a looooot more screen time. So, it's weird that he wasn't given scenes worrying about the well-being of his elder sibs. Guys, Tem was on his team, and he couldn't even remember her to give her a few secs with their revived dad before permanently sealing him away. Temari's infinite dream was for her brothers to pay attention to her (and I'm sure her dream would've been solely directed towards desiring Gaara's attention, but to not make it unfair and not make Ga look bad, they included Kank as well. I refuse to believe K doesn't care about his sister's opinion. These two literally raised each other.) The reason I'm also bringing this up is cause you know what actually made Gaara lose his cool? Seeing Naruto show up on the battlefield to aid in the war efforts, of course.

Now, the point of the whole war was to kinda protect Naruto and Killer B, cause they were in possession of the only tailed beasts Akatsuki still hadn't gotten a hold of to complete their Tsukuyomi plan. So, Naruto was sent away on an island to train with B, where he was taught control of Kurama's power. By the moment he shows up, Naruto was also ridiculously powerful, beating enemies left and right. So I can't understand how Gaara shows no concern for Tem and Kank, but the moment he sees Naruto, he goes bananas. It simply does not make sense. Do you know how much better Gaara would've been if he only had a few scenes reciprocating Temari's concern and thinking about Kankuro? Just think bout it. That's literally all I'm asking for: Gaara's feelings for Nart are okay whether they be romantic or platonic as long as they don't ruin his family bonds.

And yeah, that's pretty much it. This post is long enough as is, but I hope I've explained myself on why I think Gaara isn't really that well-written and how he could've been better. Again, this is not hate. I wrote this just so I wouldn't get hate from anyone, so I hope my opinion is respected or completely ignored if you disagree. Goodbye, and have a good day/night 👍
