#my actual reason for hating seb leaving and modding it out is that i hate how inconsistent it is with all of the other characters

trying to think of like ‘in world’ explanations for why sebastian stays with antony even though he lets anders live, and i’m envisioning it being a mixture of antony clearly being angry and enraged really at anders after the explosion, while at the same time begging everyone not to force him to play executioner (because he’s barely clinging on to all he’s managed to build and its slipping through his fingers faster and faster and executing a friend would feel like the final nail) and i feel like sebastian would have enough sympathy to at least agree to help antony fix the situation. like while its 100% for gameplay reasons and not taking choice from the player, the fact that sebastian doesnt even fight against anders, just leaves, makes me think about how he also does not want to play executioner (going back to hiring someone else to kill his families assassins etc) and seeing someone he loves and respects beg to not be forced into that role i think would effect him.

Howdy! I’m playing da2 and I just can’t make up my mind on who to romance! I know you’ve said your fave out of the da2 romances is Isabela, but what about everyone else? What are their pros/cons? I don’t mind spoilers! I’m playing as Marian hawke and a warrior, if that helps! I ask you bc out of all the da blogs I follow, I trust your opinion tho most lol

Merrill Pros:

Her romance dialogue is so sweet it’s just basically you and her exchanging compliments most of the time

Gets a whole new magical outfit after moving in with you

Is like the only LI who has no hesitation to say she loves you--(In fact she quite literally shouts it)

Merrill Cons:

Sometimes (or often, if rivalled) her dialogue comes off as uncomfortably worshipping Hawke/self-loathing. Merrill sweetie you are amazing please love yourself

In combination with that Hawke often has the chance to baby her, when she is a fully grown woman with extreme intelligence and independence and doesn’t need you to decide things for her (again, worse if rivalled)

Basically please don’t rival her I really hate it, and support mages

Anders Pros:

Can get really, uh... intense with his #RevolutionRomance

Gains an actual home rather than living in the sewers

One of the two LIs who directly influence an act’s major plot, which adds a bit of... relevancy, I guess? Not sure what word to use. Omph, maybe?

Anders Cons:

I personally wish his romance dialogue wasn’t different depending on if you romance him as a F or M Hawke

Needs to raise his standards--You can say you maybe don’t want a mage to die and he’s like head over heels instantly

Again, please don’t rival him/side with the templars, he will allude to planning on killing himself after everything if you don’t kill him yourself

Fenris Pros:

While he gets this via friendship too I just really like how he finally is able to get close to someone

His romance scenes are soap opera level I s2g

Most of the fandom agrees his voice is the most pleasing to listen to and yes I am adding that as a pro

Fenris Cons:

Ghosts you for like three years--I mean he kinda explains why but still my man WTF let me help you

At least I sometimes get the same vibes I get from Merrill in that he’s almost too engulfed with Hawke, to the point of saying like Hawke’s his only reason to live etc

If you plan on siding with the templars he’s an easier option, but if you plan on siding with the mages it can be a bit more difficult; but definitely not impossible if you just act wisely.

Isabela Pros:

I will stand by my opinion that she has the best romance but that’s a lot because I absolutely love “Oops I accidentally love you” stories

Not positive on this, but it at least feels like she has the most opportunities to actually flirt with her

She will leave the game permanently at the end of Act 2 if you’re not careful; I suggest looking up how to keep that from happening

Sebastian Pros:

Is really the only romance where I personally think is okay if rivalled, though I still absolutely prefer friendship

For a man who claims to have been quite the party-goer he is awfully flustered when flirted with and it’s v cute

Is the only LI to tell Hawke literally everything--I like how the DA:2 characters all have their own things going on outside of Hawke’s life but sometimes it can get frustrating when they chose to keep things from you, because of course as a player you are curious, but Seb has no hesitation to involve Hawke with anything

Sebastian Cons:

I’m pretty sure it’s because he’s a DLC somehow, but you cannot flirt with anyone else or his romance won’t register

Definitely has the least amount of LI content

You will have to kill Anders unless you want to break up with him (or mod the game)

Before I get into this I just want to state that I’m very well aware of Alejandras ignorant comments and actions but people on tumble need a break from hating sm ! First, before seb even acknowledged her on his ig we know she was baiting. We disliked it Bc it looked fake and insincere. We complained about her numerous bating. Now she’s stopped baiting and what do I see people doing? “Wheres ale and why is she quite”, “why isn’t she posting”. Umm, shouldn’t it be good news she’s not longer baiting? Why are people so pressed for her to do one thing and when she does they complain and want to know her whereabouts! This is fan behavior . Secondly, I also saw people say(again before seb acknowledged her), “if it’s real why don’t any of his friends hangout/follow her” and then we see his friends hanging out and some follow her and AGAIN we complain. I dislike what Ale did. That’s just common sense but I get how seb can be paggro about him living his life. Every single thing this man does is commented on. I agree hold people accountable but some of y’all are straight up bullies. Commenting on how awful her outfit on the bday video is or how she doesn’t have her hair up when making pasta. I thought we disliked her for her actions but why are we constantly coming for her physical looks?? If this is indeed a Pr, yall(not you mod) are feeding into it! Tracking her every step and seeing when she likes pictures to determine where she is?! So if she’s gaining this new found attention it’s coming from some of you. We come to these gossip blogs (myself included) for gossip! Let’s stay that way instead of straight up bullying people. How does body shaming seb and her align with accountability?? That’s what some of y’all do. And that’s where you’re bullying. WE ARE ALL HUMAN. I bet if we were placed under such a microscope we put seb in we’d even be more flawed. Accountability ≠being rude. And if in fact seb is aware of this and still continues to live like this why are we pressed? It’s his life again. We all have different narrative of who seb is and we’re most likely wrong. This is where the pain from fans comes from because they want him to be this perfect person but he’s not. Is he going to apologize for traveling during a pandemic? No, he is not. Is he going to stop “dating” a racist because fans have asked him to? No he’s not. Yall “fans” continue to send him hate so much for ale and while I get that that feeling is valid if it truly upsets you so much, leave. Like if y’all are so “disgusted” by his behavior then leave. Because he’s not going to change Bc fans want him to. He will change Bc he wants to and he’s stated that numerous times. This is super long and I apologize but people need to start realizing words can hurt. And just because your reasoning behind saying stuff is to “hold him accountable “ doesn’t mean you actually are. He’s human so treat him as such!

It's one thing to hold people accountable for the right reasons, but that doesn't give anyone the excuse to attack anyone for physical appearance or make fun of people to further that anger.

I'll be the one to admit that I think Alejandra is pretty. She's got a good-structured face and her dimples add to her attractiveness in my opinion.

Do I like her? Absolutely not. Do I support her? No way in Hell. But I'm not going to make bad comments on her looks or anything else besides her controversies to confirm that I don't like her.
