What inspired you to write it?

I was rewatching Into Darkness with my family and That Scene made me a little crazy and i'm like. "what if they confessed instead" and it kinda spiraled

2. Where did the title came from?

From Jim's plea to Spock to help him not feel scared, where in that moment Spock was failing. He was so scared of loosing jim, his literal fucking soulmate (which he doesn't know yet).

And then they literally kiss, and its the last thing Jim does, and he looks away, because he cant bear to let spock look him in the eyes as he dies, doesn't want to haunt him like that. and you can see spock's fingers move to match his aND THEN HE DROPS HIS HAND

4. How long did it take to write it?

I worked on it for probably a solid 8 hours. It did take me all day but I also think I may have stayed up all night writing it because I was just, so into the plot of it.

5. How long did you think about writing it before actually writing it?

1.701 seconds. literally. Spock screams Khans name and I was opening my docs and writing. fingers flying across the screen at inhuman speed.

my absoloute favorite. I have it screenshotted and everything. completely obsessed with Sergeant and everything they review of mine. it makes me go feral

22. If you would rewrite it, how would you rewrite it?

oh lol, i intend to rewrite, i am rewriting it. I'm adding details, fleshing out more scenes. there were things I wanted to add, more stuff to include. And I wanted to post the fic so bad that I gazed over it and left it on the back burner. Living in my head rent free, or more like squatting, kicking up a mess and demanding to be noticed.
