I do think post game (in my delusional daydreams where illario is forgiven and he and lucanis are working together and trying to reconcile) there is a lot of jealousy from illario for how goofy lucanis gets to be around rook. Like he says in the game they're his best friend and I personally think a lot of the humour and jokinng he does in the game is a direct result of rook's influence and trust (because he was funny in Tevinter Nights but Illario didnt really respond to it and he's a lot more closed off around his family for obvious reasons) i think illario would struggle because on one hand he's jealous his cousin is so happy but also happy for him but also he wishes he could do that but also he was never allowed and he never had that positive outside influence that let him relax just a little bit and let the good parts of his personality shine, and I do think there are good parts! I think it would be really fun to explore rook interacting with him post game as well and seeing if they have the same effect on him

if you had asked me a few years ago id actually tell you that my personal ideal lavellan storyline would have involved her taking on the fragment of mythal. and solas being horrified by it LOL

now, knowing the dynamic between solas and mythal, i dont think i still would have wanted this. it would be horrifyingly tragic. like true classic greek play makes you feel sick kind of tragic. and i do enjoy that but i think it would have actually ruined my life if they went there.

as for what i think it might look like, i think we already have an idea. we did see flemythal and the inquisitor react, and flemythal says she does the people proud. or that they kneel too easily LOL. shes mostly indifferent. morrigythal and the inquisitor also seem fairly close in veilguard, at least far closer than they were when we left them 10 years ago. "speaking from the heart, inquisitor?" was PERSONAL but playful and fond, imo. the way morrigan looks at lavellan when she talks about solas each time also makes me think they've talked about everything. i actually really enjoyed the tidbits of their friendship we saw. bonding over a shared ex boyfriend you will always be famous. even when the ex is shared by uhhhhhhhh ancient goddess fragment hanging out next to your soul.

as for how fragment mythal would have reacted... honestly i dont think she would have treated lavellan that differently from how she treats rook, aka as a mildly interesting bug that has crawled across her carpet that she is contemplating squishing or taking outside in a cup. depending on how it behaves.

we dont know the extent of her ability to "watch" the world but considering she knows about pretty much everything we can assume she is aware of solas and lavellan. and shes even in the same room as them at one point and does not say or do anything. i really dont think she gives a fuck LMAO. i think fragment mythal sees herself as truly god-like and thus she would probably not really clock lavellan as a threat. i also think she does not care about solas enough to be truly jealous. i also think there is a part of her who wants him to be happy because why free him if not? i think all of these things exist inside of her simultaneously and as a result she would prob just be a haughty bitch to lavellan like she is to everyone else. maybe with a few extra zingers thrown in about solas to taunt her and see if she rises to the bait. maybe she'd lay the "test your worth" on a bit thicker because she'd want to see the mettle of the mortal who got the dread wolf's heart.

as for how lavellan would treat mythal that would be sooooo varied based on everyones personal lavellan that i get why we didnt see it in game. mine would be pretty pissed off but she would have a healthy amount of the fear of god in her and probably not be openly antagonistic. but definitely snarky. there is also a place for mythalavellan toxic yuri in my soul but thats a conversation for another time. ultimately i think mythal is putting lavellan in a cup in a rare moment of solidarity and empathy and putting her outside. but not gently. she kind of throws the whole cup out the door y'know and goes "ew. good luck with ur ugly fucking boyfriend" and continues on with her life unbothered. to seek revenge and a horrible reckoning ofc

Egyptian Ben 10 AU!!

A long while ago i got the idea of making an au where ben is an Egyptian Orthodox Christian (the idea entirely spawned off a joke my friend made about a hypothetical ben like that having to explain his fasting to rook)

At first the idea was gonna be that his parents are Egyptian immigrants and he was born and raised in Bellwood, but last second before finishing his character bio i decided to flip everything over and make this AU *in* Egypt

The timeline i have in mind for these bios are all at around right after the highbreed arc, but also before season 3 straight up starts. I feel like thats a good jumping-on point

In terms of aliens mostly i just get to explore what the aliens would look like as teenagers since uaf and ov didnt really do much with that (they didnt even bother giving wildmutt a tail) and have fun trying to make his flannel into outfits for the aliens. Hoever if i get any cool ideas for entirely revamping aliens id definitely do it

I tried to make fourarms darker skinned not sure if its showing. Id have done the same with stinkfly but the uniforms colorscheme wouldve crashed. I wanted to try giving wildmutt black fur because this ben has darker hair but nothing really quite worked hsjhds wildmutts obnoxious orange is just too iconic

Prep school is mostly an american thing, here the closest equivalent for the early 2000s would be an international school. Also i changed lawyer to doctor as thats the sort of "go-to" job that makes a lot of money, lawyers in egypt arent usually as fortunate

Here she doesnt wear her uniform this is just how she dresses. I tried to fit the cat motif like OS but i couldnt really think of something that fit. If i were drawing UAF or OV gwen in my own take id have given her cat imagery but i think for Jwanas personality it actually makes more sense for her to be boring and lose the cat

Jwanas also a lot more angsty about her magic (and it is magic) since her parents and basically entire surrounding community both Muslim and Christian are very against magic and consider it sin. Shes also a lot more angsty in general because like the bio says shes under alot of stress and is very jealous of ben, which is conflicting because ben is also her best friend and she doesnt wanna feel this sort of animosity to him. She also doesnt realize how much he looks up to her as someone who is a lot more intelligent and disciplined than he'll ever be (for example the concept of jwana having the spark isnt here, ben just can never learn magic because he doesnt have what it takes)

Kevin much like ben is more or less the same as he is in the show. With jwana i went with my own take but Ben and Kevin are more of, culminations of what i think are their best parts in the series and then just fleshing that out more

I felt like the outfit he has in earth-prime works best with a few touchups. Prime kevin has consistently had that rugged guy-who-lives-in-a-garage look so despite being the most basic outfit it works the best with a few touchups

I did change his anatomy, i wanted to make him look like a mutant freak. I gave him this sort of frankenstine's monster posture (a small reference to him being an amalgamation in os). He also has these stretch marks all over his body since his material absorption doesnt just create a coat around him but also alters his skin itself (so these markings arent there for os-era kevin) He also has a lot of weird bumps over his body

This kevin is 100% mutant no alien shenanigans. If i do aggregor i'll uhhh think of something else for him to be. His transition to the lightside is a lot longer and for the majority of the highbreed arc hes not even there hes more of an occasional ally if he feels like helping

Was his dad a plumber or not im not sure tbh, im leaning towards not though

Shinning light on Epel's character, he does indeed feel conflicted. He fears Cloche's paranoia and vulnerability after the incident is what made them to be closer. If that's the case then he hates it. Dont get me wrong now Epel's the kind who "fell first and fell harder" but he wants to be sure that his Relationship with Cloche even as friends is genuine. He wants to be sure that the closeness Cloche develops with him is not related to her incident even in the slightest. While he still sees glimpses of OG Cloche with how she responds it still makes him uneasy with how he got closer to her in a few months then he could in a year. He knows Cloche doesn't like him back. The way she looks at his vice housewarden with love in her eyes, he wishes he could be that person. (Dont be jealous of that wannabe Dora 🫶)

But he knows he'll never be. But that doesnt mean he wants to cut all ties with Cloche. She is still special to him. He can move on but he knows that wont be the case for a good while but till then he'll be there for Cloche in her time of need when rook is ojt for internships.

Now thats enough angst on my side since now i just feel bad 😭

Going straight for the angst path I see- Not that I’m complaining- I’m all for it!

Waiting for Cloche’ epiphany arc to come, when she finally realizes she shouldn’t have taken Epel and his feelings for granted when he’s gone for good. Before the incident, Cloche would have known about Epel’s one-sided affections for her (at some point), but she’s more confused why he would like her. With that, if Epel ever confronts SY!Cloche to set things straight or were vocal about missing the old Cloche, she’d feel upset and lost.

As the person experiencing the changes, Cloche views the new development as growth. OG!Cloche was distant, always trying to not be a burden, and now she’s opening up her heart to rely on others willingly. Cloche, herself, didin’t think the incident changed her, but was an excuse for her to act upon the fears she already had. How Cloche sees herself vs how Epel sees her, would make for an interesting conflict of misunderstandings. Since Epel wants to be there for Cloche, he probably wouldn’t voice his personal conflicts, and Cloche is too prideful to open up any more.

The few remnants of OG!Cloche that Epel can find, is mostly her uncaring, “so be it” attitude. Despite having been there for her for so long, he’s still bitter that a simple “Salut” from Rook on Magicam is enough to make her …smile. (Barely. The corners of her mouth can tilt up by 1mm, I guess.)

When SY!Cloche does feel better, she wouldn’t apologize to Epel, but more so give a word of acknowledgement. She’d drop the bomb out of nowhere, when they’re just alone, without any warnings at all. And ofc, in OG!Cloche fashion, it’d be hella dry but gets the point across. She is chewing on her pride (she cannot swallow it completely.)

AU or headcanon list (whichever you prefer! ) for Rook finding out she's pregnant but not knowing which Seed is the father

So this might not be what you wanted. But here’s some not quite mentally stable Rook + soft poly Seed and plenty of angst (:

Each encounter with the Seed brothers should have never happened, and yet she kept going back to them.

It started as just sex. John was first she thought she could distract him from his atonement. It worked but she didn’t expect it to be that good, she definitely didn’t expect to catch feelings for him.

Next was Jacob. That was more curiosity than anything else, she knew there was no way she could distract him, she just wanted to see if he was as good as his baby brother. The Soldier was different, surprisingly soft and tender but yes just as good and just as feeling inducing.

By the time she found herself alone with Joseph she felt compelled to make it a hat trick. Yet again the sex was mind blowing. The Father kept no pretenses, there was nothing to read into, like there was with other two. He said exactly what he felt and what he wanted. Rook found him surprisingly refreshing both in and out of bed.

She began to fall in love with them, each in different ways. John understood her deepest fears and self hate in a way that made her feel seen and understood. Jacob protected her and more than that he pushed her to be better. Joseph gave her security, made her feel a wholeness she could not describe. Eventually as she fell harder and harder for each man, she began to care less and less about her duties as Deputy.

None of them knew about the other and she had finally planned to tell them all and ask (beg if she had to) them to understand, but then she puked. It was while she was leaning over the toilet that she finally realized it had been two months since she had her last period.

Rook felt like an idiot as she rushed to find the nearest pregnancy test she could find. Though in her defense she had quite a lot of other things on her mind what with a holy war going on, not to mention falling in love with the enemies. Besides she had lost so much weight she just chalked it up to that.

During the two longest minutes of her life, she couldn’t help but become excited to have the child of the man she loved, no matter which one. And once the time passed she became overwhelmed with love and fiercely protective of the life growing inside of her.

Her will to fight the Seeds and the Project had already been fading fast, that little blue plus sign made it evaporate completely. She would no longer be fighting nor would she be putting her child in danger.

The thought took her smile away as she thought of the Seeds’ reaction to her news. It could go great. They could accept her and her preference to be in relationships with all of them. Or more likely, one of them would get jealous or act out in rage. Before this bombshell she had been willing and wanting to take that risk. Now though? Now the risk just wasn’t worth her child’s life.

So she ran. From her lovers, her friends, her enemies, everyone. It was still impossible to get out of the County but she managed to avoid capture and stay healthy for close to two months.

After finding some prenatal vitamins and some food in an abandoned prepper stash she had managed to lay low and keep on the move.

That all changed one day, in the Whitetails, when she came across a hunting party. She had tried to run at first but when they had chased her into a lake she realized running was futile. So she lifted her hands in surrender and went with them willingly, she didn’t want to be hit with a bliss arrow and risk the effects on the baby.

The cultist threw a bag over her head, and didnt take it off until they left her in a room in an underground bunker. Rook paced the area, her anxiety made it impossible for her to stand still.

A quick look around the room showed that it was actually quite comfortable. Small but cozy with a queen size bed an ensuite bathroom. It seemed more than a simple couidence that the walls were painted her favorite color and the sparse books on the shelves her favorites as well.

While the door wasn’t locked, two armed guards kept watch just outside. She didn’t have the energy to fight them but more than that she didn’t want to any chances.

Instead she decided to take a warm shower. Once out of the shower she put on the clothes that were left for her, they didn’t fit. Four months earlier they would have fit perfectly but in that moment they were all too tight. The fabric puckered around her breasts and her still small baby bump poked out of the shirt, luckily the pants were drawstring.

She decided to sit on the bed using the blanket to cover herself up, they would be find out soon enough but she could at least control when. Once settled, her hand instinctively cupped her stomach.

With nothing better to do her mind wandered to thoughts of her baby’s father, well possible fathers. Even though she was filled with apprehension, there was another part of her that longed to see them again. She had missed them for so long.

The sound of voices outside brought her out of her musings. Her heart nearly lept out of her chest when Joseph walked through the door. Jacob and John followed in after him.

An odd sense of relief washed over, causing her to jump out of the bed without thought. As she rushed towards them, the look on their faces stopped her mid step.

John was the first to notice as his gaze almost instantly snapped onto her midsection. His jaw hung open. Jacob became perfectly still while his eyes widened, a hand reached out to touch her before falling back down at his side. Joseph was the only one in the room who didn’t seem surprised. He wore a bemused, almost knowing, expression.

The middle Seed was the first to move as he stepped forward to cup Rooks cheek, her only reaction was to lean into it. “My love, is this why you have ran from us?”

Hot tears began to run down her cheek as she moved her head in a nod. “I-I had to. I couldn’t risk it, I wouldn’t!” Her voice quivered while she tried to reign in her emotion.

It was Jacob who spoke next “You were protecting it-sorry the baby,” he corrected after a glare from Rook “from us?”

“Why would you think we would hurt either one of you dear?” John questioned his voice soft.

The deputy could only look at each of them before hanging her head, the tears had started to fall falster. She was unable to find the words to tell them that she didn’t know which of them was the father.

“Oh dear one, neither of you have nothing to fear from us. We are in love with you and hope you feel the same way.” Joseph said as his thumb stretched out to catch her tears.

John added “We hope you want all of us but if not we will let you be, as long as you stay here.” His head head hung low as if he was expecting her rejection.

When Rook’s head turned in confusion Jacob’s rough voice broke in “Yes you can be with whoever you want as long as you let us protect you both from the collapse.” He had begun to move toward her again.

She stood there in shock for a few moments as the tears subsided. “I-I, you all know?”

The all nodded but it was Joseph who said “Yes my love, when you ran from us we all confessed of our time with you. There was some,” he paused to gather the right words. His eyes shifted to the other two who hung their heads in shame for a moment “some confusion and discussion. But we ultimately decided to let you choose.”

The Deputy was silent for another moment before she smiled and walked closer so that she could touch all three at the same time. “All of you, I choose and love each of you.”

Joseph smiled in his knowing way, John and Jacob let out sighs of relief. She kissed them each, full of joy to be back together with them.

After, Jacob lightly touched her arms to guide her back to bed. “You did good Kitten, but now you don’t have to worry. I will keep us all safe.” His deep voice placating every ounce of anxiety she’d been carrying.

“Yes dear, and I will provide for us, I will ensure that you and our child have everything you need” John’s voice was full of confidence again. He helped her into to bed so that she was leaning against Jacob, and lifted her feet in his lap.

Joseph was the last to join them as he got in the bed sitting next to her and took her hand into his. “And I will guide our family into Eden.” There was a smile in his voice as he looked over his beloved and his brothers.

With those last words she settled in to the bed, falling into a restful sleep surrounded by the ones she loved.
