“I keep telling you, you shouldn’t stay out so late! It’s not safe!” Her mother had told her.

She’d never listen.

What was so dangerous? The dashing young men who danced with her? They followed her around with the puppy-dog eyes. Hardly dangerous, if you asked her.

So, she went out, and ended up walking through town at 3am.

“Excuse me, Miss. Do you mind if I walk with you?”

A woman, around her age, approached her.

“Of course not, please.” She gestured to the space on the path next to her.

“Cassandra.” The mystery woman, Cassandra, shook her hand.

“My friends call me Tia.”

“Well I hope we can be friends, Tia.” Cassandra smiled at her kindly. “Where are you heading?”

Tia pointed. “I’m a couple blocks that way. You?”

“Ah I’m heading the same way. Isn’t that lucky?”

Tia could’ve sworn she’d seen Cassandra’s eyes turn red for a moment, but chalked it up to the drinks she’d been downing an hour earlier.

“Are you new in town? I don’t think I’ve seen you before.” Tia pried slightly.

“You’d remember me if you had?”

Of course, Tia thought. This woman was gorgeous and made Tia feel… safe. And secure.

“I like to think I know most people here.” She settled on for her answer.

“Social butterfly, are we?” Cassandra’s tone was almost flirtatious.

Tia’s cheeks warmed up. She let out a strangely awkward laugh. Something about this woman had her so comfortable, so off guard…

“You okay? You seem a bit tense.” Cassandra noted.

“Me? Oh, yeah. All good. Just tired.” She said, trying to cover up her blushing.

Cassandra watched her in a way that made more blood flood to her cheeks. She felt relaxed, and slightly light headed.

“Are you sure? You’re not sick or anything?” Cassandra said, holding the sides of Tia’s face.

Tia immediately felt a strange feeling wash over her. It was like the comfort of Cassandra’s presence was washing over her whole body.

“N-no, I’m not sick. I’m okay…” she said, looking into Cassandra’s grey eyes.

“What’s worrying you? You’re safe. You’re okay. Breathe for me.”

And Tia did. She hadn’t even realised she was stressed until slowly her breathing calmed down and all she could focus on was Cassandra’s warm presence.

“That’s it… how are you feeling?”

“Tired. And warm.”

Cassandra smiled, revealing two sharp teeth.

“That’s good. Do you mind?” Cassandra gestured to Tia’s neck.

Tia shook her head with a smile, not fully registering what the other woman was asking her before fangs bit deep into her neck.

Tia had never felt such ecstasy.

Benny ignored you, staying on the floor for a few more seconds before slowly rising to his feet. He faced you with a wide-eyed stare and outreaching arms.

“I vant to drink your blood!” He said in a typical Dracula voice.

“You watch too many movies.” You said with a giggle before Benny pounced on you, biting at any part of you he could.

“Yeah, Rory, who mauled you?” Benny asked, slightly more amused by the sight than Ethan was.

Rory looked down at his arm, as if he had forgotten that you had practically used him like a chew toy yesterday.

“Oh! That was just Y/n.” The blonde said with a shrug. “But if you think this is crazy, just wait until you see them.” Rory laughed. “I got both of their arms and their neck!”

“...excuse me?” Ethan seemed even more disturbed.

“What? It’s how we say ‘I love you!’”

You and Ethan were in his room, deeply invested in a video game. He was playing while you sat on his lap and watched. 

You had developed a bit of a habit of biting Ethan. Not too harshly obviously, just a light nibble here and there. But sometimes, when you were distracted, like you were right now, your fangs would show.

Eyes locked on the screen, you shifted slightly in Ethan’s lap to give him a little love bite on the shoulder. But before you could take the bite, the game suddenly paused, and Ethan was giving you a serious look.

“Put them back.” He said, hand on your jaw to keep your mouth from getting closer to him. You gave him a confused look, and he gestured to your fangs.

“Oh.” You quickly retracted your fangs, smiling a now perfectly normal smile. “Better?”

“Much,” Ethan answered, hand dragging down from your jaw to your arm to give it a quick squeeze, as if to say thanks, before returning to the game. You made sure to give him a few love bites before resting your head on his shoulder and watching him play again.

The significance of Dusk in the mbav universe to Sarah:

She was obsessed with it as a human and then pushed her best friend who was also obsessed with it when she was first bitten and over the series her coming back into the fandom signifies her acceptance of the fact she has been changed. Mid s2 she dresses up as Rochelle which is the final time it's mentioned and is her fully accepting she is a vampire and being okay with it. Her friend who is obsessed with is doesn't get turned at the start of the movie but at the catalyst. And she uses the fandom to help the main protagonist because unlike Sarah Erica still adores it and her becoming a vampire cements that love for it. However as the show progresses it becomes more of a side interest showing that she was at first enamored with the idea of vampirism but she is slowly realizing it's not all amazing. But she still actively engages with it the whole time which shows her complete acceptance of her new identity. She even uses it to boost herself and she meets the main actor which is the episode in which the vampire council is introduced which shows her expands from acceptance to engagement. And in the episode welcome back Dusker, which is Sarah's episode where she gets back into the fandom and shows her acceptance, the show is main theme not just for Sarah but for Erica too, and shows their friendship growing through their mutual love of both the films and the acceptance of their new identies. And because before she was a vampire she was the head of the fan club and we see this almost obsession at the start of the movie it highlights the difference between Erica and Sarah but their unity too.

Summer vacation had brought winds of change in Whitechapel. After an eventful year together of dealing with the supernatural, we hoped for the chance to unwind a summer away from monsters and college.

You and Sarah had got a job as servers at the local diner and were so excited to be working together. Sometimes after your shift you'd go out to find a bite, hoping to find something that could satisfy your appetites. Afterwards, the whole gang would get together and find something to do for that day. However, most days you'd swing by Ethan's place after work hoping to spend more quality time with him one-on-one. He'd been working as a counselor at the local science camp and you'd help him make up activities to do with the children the following day. Other days the two of you would waste the afternoon away at the pool or on his couch with movie marathons. You'd leave his place around dinnertime, not wanting to seem rude for not having an appetite for Mrs. Morgan's cooking, and you'd walk back home. Later on in the night, the two of you would talk on the phone well into the night.

However, the two of you spending more time together didn't go unnoticed- especially by Sarah.

“Y’know I understand if you’re not ready to go public about you and Ethan but I mean c'mon. Y/n, c’mon, I'm your best friend you could’ve at least told me!”

Sarah had manage to bring up the topic as you told her about your plans to hangout with Ethan that night.

"Sarah, what are you even saying?” Letting out an amused laugh as you wipe down the counter that separated the two of you.

“Benny called me complaining about how he never gets to hang out with Ethan anymore ever since you and Ethan started going out or whatever."

"Oh that is so not- look Ethan and I aren't dating!"

"Look I don’t care that you’re dating Ethan, congratulations- but the fact that I had to hear it from Benny is seriously messed up.” Sarah huffed as she feigned a look of hurt.

“Sarah, Ethan and I are NOT dating. We just hang out a lot, that's all but that doesn’t mean we’re dating.”

“Uh-huh" Raising her eyebrows at me not even the slightest bit convinced.

“I swear!” You raise your arms defensively.

“Look, I knew it was only a matter of time and honestly I’m surprised it even took this long.” 

“What do you mean?” You shift your full attention to her, setting the towel in your hand down.

“What do I mean? Y/n I may be dead but I’m not dumb. Anyone with a brain can see that you and Ethan are totally in love with each other and have been for years.” She smiled knowingly at you.

“We are not in love with each other."

"Bullshit."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yes! Remember how crushed Ethan was when you were dating that frat guy and how he was there to help you through that mess?"

"He was just being a good friend."

"He drove down to New York for the weekend just so that you wouldn't feel alone."

The two of you just stared at each other, the memories from that weekend replaying back in your mind. It had come as a surprise when Ethan knocked on you dorm door with a bag full of your favorite snacks in hand. He had heard from Sarah about your breakup and didn't tell anyone about the drive he made to you, not wanting to ruin the surprise. The two of you spent that weekend wasting away eating junk food and watching movies in your bed as he offered his full support in your emotional state.

“Look, I'm not sure he even likes me, Sarah. For all I know he just sees me as a really good friend and wants nothing more than a friendship. Plus I’m a vampire, who knows if he’ll even want to be with me considering that he’ll get older and move on in his life, but there’s only so much ‘growing’ I can do before I have to start over again. At the end of the day I’ll just be seventeen forever.”

Letting out a defeated sigh, Sarah looked at you with a blank stare, she understood where you were coming from, your fears reflecting much of her own. Despite her empathy, she was determined to not let you sabotage an opportunity at being happy.

“Y/N, I understand your fears. Trust me, no one gets it more than I do," reaching across the counter she places a sympathetic hand on top of yours. "but I know Ethan."

"He’s been in love with you since like the day he met you and I swear I've seen him fall in love with you more every day. I can't tell you that it'll be easy or uncomplicated but I do know that if I were you- I'd take the risk. Cause thinking about the 'what if's' are more tormentful than any rejection could be.” 

As her words sank in, flashes of some of the best memories between you and Ethan flashed into your mind. All the adventure spent fighting the supernatural together, movie marathons, high school dances, how much it hurt to move away for college, the holidays spent together, and the parties you've dragged him to. You loved every moment spent with him - both the mundane and the momentous. Maybe you had been denying your feelings for Ethan all these years, probably due to fear but what fun is life playing it safe? Whatever problems that would arise you would deal with them one at a time. The truth sank in heavily within you- it's been Ethan all along, and you were too blind to have seen that before.

Reaching over the counter, you catch Sarah off guard as you smush her into a bear hug.

"Thank you." You muffled into her hair. With that you untie your apron tossing it behind the counter as you grab your bag in a hurry.

“Call me tonight and tell me everything!” Sarah called out as you made your way out of the diner. The walk to Ethan's seemed to be eternal- thoughts racing with each step you took. The closer the view of his house appeared, the more your nerves consumed you. Letting a deep breath in, you let a shaky exhale before knocking on his front door.

“Coming!” You heard him shout from inside, his footsteps becoming echoing loudly as he raced down the stairs before hurriedly opening the door.

“Oh, hey y/n! I didn’t know you were coming by today, my folks just left so we have the house to ourselves if you wanna keep watching X-Men First Class.”

As he smiled back at you sort of breathless from running down the stairs, you tried to savor this moment, in case it was the last one you had of him from before things could change.

"Actually I was wondering if we could talk.”

His eyebrows furrowed at the question as he was caught off guard.

“Uh y-yeah sure c’mon in.” He stuttered, nerves beginning to settle within him from your serious manner.

As you make your way inside the house you make your way up to his room with Ethan right behind you. As he shuts the door to his bedroom he takes note of the way you pace back and forth across his room.

“So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?” He said as he sat on the edge of his bed. You come to a halt in front of him and stare at him for a couple of seconds. He flashed a nervous smile and it dawned on you how off-putting this must be for him to see you so worked and not knowing why. You flash him a just as equally nervous smile before stepping over to his bed and sitting to where you were facing him.

“Ethan, we've been friends for a while now and recently we've been spending even more time with each other than usual. While I enjoy our time together, I’m afraid I haven’t been completely honest with you-” 

“Okay if this is about all the superhero movies we watch, we can watch something else. I'm totally fine with that." He blurts out cutting me off mid sentence.

"And we don’t have to keep building lego sets either if that’s what this is about.” He looked up at you with the most gleaming apologetic eyes ever which only made the nerves within your stomach intensify.

“No Ethan look-”

“We can do other things too. We can do cool things. We can take a road trip together out of town or go out clubbing more. Whatever it is y/n, I don't care I just wanna spend more time with you.”

“Ethan, I don’t care what it is that we do together!” I blurt out rather loudly taken both of us aback at how loud the statement came.

“Wait you don't?” Ethan's face scrunched in confusion.

“No Ethan! I don't give a shit what we do as long as we’re together because I don’t ever wanna stop seeing you because I like you!” The confession slips out of your mouth in one hurried breath and you catch your breath as you cautiously await Ethan's reaction.

Shock plagues Ethan before confusion settles deep within him. Surely you didn't just confess that you liked him? There must be some sort of mistake.

“Wait, you like me? Like, like me?”

“Yes you dumbass. I like like you." You rolled your eyes and smiled at how high-school the whole thing sounded.

“Ethan, you found me when I was going through my darkest times. You helped me find peace with being a vampire and getting over the pain that Jesse and every other guy in my life has caused me, and for that I will be eternally grateful for."

"Besides that you've been an amazing friend to me and I've always cherished our relationship but I can't help the way I've felt within these past few weeks. I know that there's a lot to think about, my immortality, me being so far away for college, long-distance, and I understand if these are issues but there things that we can work through." Looking up at him, you can practically see the gears turning within his head and you start to second guess if you made the right choice in confessing after all.

"I know it's a lot to take in and I understand if you need time and space to process everything that's not an issu-"

“I like you too.”

You bite your tongue as he interrupts you again, this time you being caught off guard by a sudden confession.

“You do?” Voice shaky as you look into his eyes with worry and reservation still boiling within you.

“Y-yea I’ve liked you since like forever…” He admits as he scratches the back of his neck, nervous habit.

“Y/n, I’ve liked you since the day Sarah introduced us but I was too…y’know…me to ever do anything about it." You laugh at how ridiculous he sounded.

"I'm serious! I mean there was no way in a million years a guy like me could ever get with someone like you. You’re way out of my league.” His voice lowers at the end in embarrassment.

“I still am but that doesn’t mean anything.” You joke feeling relieved when you see the corners of his mouth tug into a smile. He looks up at you before the two of you share a laugh together, and you felt the tension from between the two of you melt away. As you catch your breath you remain focused on him and deliberate on how to move on from here, still wanting answers.

“So what now Morgan?”

“Y/N, will you go out with me?” 

“Hmm I don’t know actually I’ll have to think about it- yes of course Ethan!” You shout as you lunged forward to hug him bringing the two of you onto the mattress with him pinned underneath you. Breaking into another fit of laughter, you pulled away to rest your forearms on either side of Ethan as he laid underneath you. 

“Hey Ethan?” You mused sweetly at him.

“Yes y/n?”

“Can I ask you to do me a favor?”

“Depends on what it is, if it’s to be your personal blood bank you’ve got to give me some time.” He teased with a smirk.

“No you idiot.” You shake your head with a smile. As you took in the sight of him beneath you, your eyes flickered between his lips and eyes and you smiled even wider as you caught him doing the same act. The air around you seemed to thicken as the beat of his racing heart echoed louder and louder within your ears. You can hear the way his blood rushed to his cheeks and despite the vulnerable position he was in, it wasn't his blood that you were craving.

“Kiss me.” You whisper looking pleadingly into his eyes as your breath fans over his face that was only inches apart.

Ethan slowly reached his hand forward to gently cup your cheek and you only leaned further into his touch. As he looked at your lips he looked up at you as if silently asking for reassurance that you wanted this. With a nod of your head, you heard his heart beat louder beneath you, beating so hard that you thought it would practically jump out of his chest- Ethan wouldn't be surprised if it did. He then closes the distance between you, capturing your lips into a soft kiss. You'd be lying if you said you never thought about what it would be like to kiss Ethan, the truth is he was a lot better than you had imagined. Your lips continued to move in sync as your hands crawled through his hair tugging slightly, earning a soft whine from him. Smiling into the kiss you made note of the sensitive spot for later.

Pulling away breathlessly, you laid your foreheads against him as you both caught your breaths.

“I could kiss you forever.”

“Well you’ve got a lot of catching up to do then.” You say before capturing his lips again into another kiss.

As Ethan snaked an arm around your waist, you melted within his touch. You felt safe within his embrace and you knew that you were home with him.

tw/cw: grooming. this is specifically for my mbav fans and followers

for those that do not know, a victim came forward about Atticus Mitchell and his grooming behaviour towards them. i don't necessarily wanna spend this whole post speaking about my feelings because i intend to speak about my content and what i plan to do but. i am so mad. i used MBAV (and DMC) as a comfort because of a grooming experience i went through from someone who was very much a person i looked up to and he very clearly had power over me because he was over a decade older then me, etc.

it so fucking pains me to now know something that has been a comfort for 8th grade me and on, is now tainted. i hope the victim(s, in case anything else comes out) is in a better and healthy place now. i wish them all the support and love because i can assume how much fear they had speaking out about it.

okay my content. i plan on keeping most of it up, i had a benny oneshot in the works which i will be scrapping. i can separate character and actor but currently it pains me for that. if anything comes out that Atticus or anyone in the cast/crew did anything while the show was in production i most likely will distance myself from mbav. (i wont delete my fics for Rory or my mbav blog unless literally Cameron also did something similar to what has happened.)

i might eventually write for Rory but don't expect anything full soon, i understand if people unfollow because of this news, i get it.

It's Halloween Time, You Know What That Means: My Obligatory MBAV Post!

So this is actually gonna be an outline for a fanfic I had an idea for a few years ago. I would work on it on and off, but I never had the motivation to fully write it out. I did however write out an outline of how I would do season 1 of the fic, so here it goes. I might still write this at sometime in the future, but I doubt it. Enjoy!

So this fic was going to be Benny x OC where the OC is Cali. Cali is secretly Calliope: the Greek muse of writing. She wanted to learn more about human and supernatural relations for a story, so she moved to Whitechapel. Also the episodes aren't in proper order because I was going off of Netflix and what made sense in my head.

Season 1 Outline

Lawn of the Dead - Cali moves to Whitechapel on the same day that the demonic animals start attacking. She bounds with Rory over writing fanfiction, and she meets the rest of the gang through him. Cali starts off hiding her true nature from the fang gang and vice versa.

Three Cheers for Evil - Cali would have been roped into the spying on the cheerleaders plot and magicked into a Stephanie's drone. Honestly might have skipped this one because the episode itself would not have changed much. At some point she runs into Grandma Weir and Grandma senses something off about her.

Friday Night Frights - Cali can see the ghost coach and remembers how he used to mistreat the nerd of Whitechapel. She misses out on the wrestling match because she is meets up with Hades in the Underworld and convinces him to unleash the Gym Locker of the Nigh.

Blue Moon - Rory and Cali find themselves hanging out more and feeling rejected by the rest of the group. Cali because she still isn't in on the vampire secret and Rory because of the whole werewolf thing. Rory accidentally lets slip that he is a vampire, and after the Werewolf!Ethan situation, the whole group. Cali does not reveal herself yet because she's worried that it will spoil her research.

Blood Drive - Cali is helping Sarah deal with cravings. When they go after the vampire nurses, the gang wants to leave Cali behind because she is "human", but that is short lived after she kicks the vampire nurses butts.

Doug the Vampire Hunter - Cali is starting to feel guilty about not telling her friends what she really is. She plans to tell them, but those plans are put on hold when Doug shows up in town. After he goes on the hunt for Sarah, she comes up with the LARPing plan and uses her powers to make it more believable.

Guys and Dolls - Cali is actively trying to tell her friends the truth, but everytime she tries to seems like something else comes up. When the doll comes to life, it drains Cali of some of her lifeforce and makes a comment about being stronger. Afterwards, the group confronts her and she tells them the truth.

Double Negative - Cali is getting used not having to hide her muse abilities in front of the group. When Evil!Benny comes around, he tries to persuade Cali to run away with him. She considers for a moment (before she realizes that it's an evil doppleganger) but is unsure why.

Smells Like Trouble - Cali walks into school is a horrible cold. The body that she came down in is prone to mortal needs and weaknesses like disease and hunger if she is on Earth long enough. Her nose is so clogged that she can't smell anything, so she is not affected by the love potion. She starts feeling jealous about all the attention Benny is now getting, but is not willing to admit it to herself yet. She goes over to Grandma Weir's house for a cold remedy, and they have a heart to heart. When she finds out that Benny made a love potion, she blows up and separates herself from the group.

Die Pod - Cali is still ignoring Benny. She puts in her earbuds to listen to music and becomes the girl infected by the plant. Most of the chapter is in Benny's perspective while he, Ethan, and Sarah work to save Cali. Afterword, Benny and Cali have a long talk and are back to being friends.

The Brewed - Cali, Benny, and Ethan are fighting against the zombies. Cali gets bit instead of Benny. She doesn't mention it because she assumes that she can't be zombified due to her being a Muse. She doesn't realize she's wrong until she's too late. As she's turning, she uses her last breaths to kiss Benny. The kiss slowly turns into a bite as her transformation completes. Afterward, Cali insists that she only did it because she thought she was dying and that they should just be friends.

Three Geeks and a Demon - Tensions are high between Benny and Cali as every time Benny tries to bring up the kiss, Cali shuts it down. When he suggests the seance, they get into an argument, and Cali leaves. Cali finds herself hanging with Erica for the night. Erica doesn't get Cali's crush on Benny, but she suggests Cali give a shot just to stop all her moping.

Jesse's Girl - With the dance coming up, Benny and Cali decide to try going to the dance together. They're plans are interrupted by Jesse coming back. During the fight, Cali gives Jesse a run for his money, but she isn't fast enough to stop Ethan from getting bit. The season ends with Cali and Benny deciding to try being an actual couple.

I didn't fully outline season 2, but there was going to be a throughline of the longer that Cali was on Earth, the more mortal she would become. After the Hottie Ho-Tep episode, she would go back to Olympus to recharge only to make a dramatic re-entrance at the talent show with her sisters to take down Serena. The end of season 2 was going to have Cali defeat Stern and the Lucifractor but have her lose her immortality in the process.

Fandom: My babysitter’s a vampire

Request: “ Um if you don’t mind can you write for mbav? Something along the lines of the reader and Ethan try a fake relationship thing cause Ethan asked her to? Like to get to Sarah/ or get her attention. And everyone is shocked cause they thought Benny and the reader would date instead cause all 3 of them are childhood friends”

Genre:Fluff mostly but I guess a little angst torwards the end

A/N: This has a little Ethan x reader too but over all it’s Benny with a guest apperence from jelous!Benny torwards the end (or at least that’s what I was going for)

“Wait, you’re dating?! Like for real dating?!”

 You clinged tighter to Ethan’s arm “Yeah, we are” but you weren’t. You didn’t want to lie to your friends and it was honestly making you kinda uncomfy but you were doing it for E.

“Ok so how long has this been going on for?” asked Benny. You and your entire friend group were gathered around his locker and you decided to break the news to them about your and Ethan’s “relationship”, which was all bullcrap. He had asked you a couple nights before to pretend. He was hoping it would get him closer to Sarah.

“Um, no more than a month” E said, trying to sound as confident as possible and doing a fairly good job at it. Of course you saw right through him but everyone else seemed to buy his act.

“Well that’s...interesting news” Sarah laughed awkwardly

“You think so? Why?”

The group went silent for a moment

“Well, just cause” Sarah started, nervousness laced into her tone “I mean I would have guessed that Benny and Y/N were going to get together eventually.” Rory and Erika just nodded in agreement while Benny tried to suppress a nervous laughter.

“I mean, come on guys” he said “ I’ve known Y/N for just as long as Ethan.” 

“Yeah, but you two just always seemed, I don’t know, closer?”

“Well” Ethan interrupted “ seems like you were wrong on that one.”

Suddenly aware of how rude she sounded, Sarah babbled some lame excuse and left quickly, face red from embarrassment. Rory and Erika left as well, each in their own direction, but not before congratulating the couple once more. Benny was the only one left.

“You good Benny?” E asked

“Yeah, I guess it’s just interesting seeing you like this”

“I hope you’re not mad or anything I mean we…” you were quickly cut off by Benny

“No, no, absolutely, not! I’m really happy for you guys! My two best friends are in love, that’s really cool!” A pink tint made its way onto your cheeks hearing Benny say “in love”, even though you knew it wasn’t true. E smiled at you and hid his face in your hair. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he placed his hands on your hips, swaying you two back and forth for a moment

“Alright, well I gotta go. Chem starts in a few” you told your boys and headed to class, not before hugging both of them and leaving Ethan with a quick peck on the cheek

As soon as you got to class however, you texted your “boyfriend”

“Think that went pretty well”

“I think so too. Everyone seemed to buy it!”

“I know!” you said and the conversation ended like that. 

You switched your attention back to your teacher, who was discussing your next assignment but even though your eyes were on her, your mind was replaying Sarah’s comment on repeat. You and Benny, huh? You couldn’t say you disliked the idea or that you’ve never thought about it. You’ve always felt different when hanging out with him compared to all your other friends.You felt more free and comfortable. You couldn’t stop the smile on your face from the fuzzy feeling you got just thinking about Bens and you together.

“So how long are we gonna be doing this for?” you texted Ethan. Now that you thought about it, you could never date Benny after this. The sudden realisation made your stomach twist in knots. He would never even go on a date with you if he thought you to be Ethan’s ex! Bro code or whatever but you couldn’t blame them!

“I don’t know for sure, I don’t see why it should last more than a couple months.”

“Ok” you didn’t mind helping E. He was a great guy and one day, some amazing girl is gonna see that and be all over him, even if it’s not Sarah! And he’s going to fall in love and have a beautiful wife and a happy family and this thing you are doing right now is just gonna be a silly high school memory to look back at. You tried not to overthink everything like you usually do and go with the flow, have fun.

It was surprisingly easy to do. Holding hands and occasional cheek kisses didn’t mean much and you never had a “proper kiss”, telling everyone you were simply not fans of PDA. It didn’t feel much like you were a couple, just closer friends. Touchier.

About 4 months down the line, you and Ethan go on your last “date”, which really just meant pizza night at Morgan’s.

“Thanks for all this Y/N, I know you didn’t have to and it might have been awkward at times but it means a lot that you went with it all this time” Ethan says sincerely while pouring you a glass of soda

“Don’t be silly E! You are one of my best friends. I would do anything for you.”

“Yeah but, now you and Benny won’t be…” he didn’t finish his sentence, as if he wasn’t sure if bringing this up was even a good idea or if it was gonna make you mad. You told E about your crush on your best friend not long after your first day as a “couple”. You couldn’t lie to him and quite honestly, you needed someone to vent to. The more you thought about Benny, the more it hurt and while you weren’t mad at Ethan for bringing it up now (you knew he had the best of intentions), it was putting you off

“Let’s not talk about that tonight” you said softly

“Right, yes, of course! Sorry” you giggle and reached out for your glass of soda, raising it up

“A toast!” you declared dramatically, making E laugh “To our breakup!” Ethan raised his own glass and clicked it with yours 

“To our breakup!” he said before you both took a sip of your drinks

You laid down on the couch, getting ready to watch Scare Finder. Your head was resting on one of Ms. Morgan’s decorative pillows and you placed your feet on E’s lap. He rolled his eyes at you and you giggled

“I love you!”

“I love you too babe” he joked before laying down next to you and wrapping you in a hug. The couch was a bit too small for the both of you to lay down side by side and you felt the left side of your body  hanging off the edge but E’s arms were around your waist, holding you and you felt safe

“Can we..” Ethan whispered nervously “can we keep cuddling during shows even if we aren’t boyfriend- girlfriend anymore?” 

“Yes of course” you giggled

“Good, cause this is really comfortable” he whispered in your neck

“I know, I love it too”

 Your breakup was a much bigger deal than you anticipated.Your friends seemed not only shocked, but heartbroken too. You didn’t tell them anything about why you ended your relationship, saying it was too early and you didn’t feel like talking about it but that you were still close friends and nothing was going to change

Things went back to normal afterwards, except now you were single and so was Benny and you couldn't help the invisible pull, dragging you closer and closer to him. Everyone of his silly jokes made you crack up and you couldn’t even be mad at him when his failed spells ended up in a big mess that you and the friend group needed to solve. You hadn’t realised how much you missed him until you broke up with E. Whether or not that relationship was real, it felt like a real reason to stay away from Benny. It felt like you were taken because everyone else belived you to be. You couldn’t make a move on him because everyone knew you to have a boyfriend but now you didn’t and you couldn’t help yourself from looking at B in a different light.

You were over at his house, helping him pack some herbs he had to organise for his grandma, as punishment for wasting all her old ones on some spell. You were stuffing dried leaves in tiny jars, while Benny was busying himself attaching little tags to them, with the name of each plant.

“Thanks again for coming to help me, you didn’t have to”

“Anytime Bens, you know I’m always here for you” you looked at him and smiled sweetly. He looked into your eyes and said

“I know, Thank you” you nodded and switched your focus back on the plants, hoping he wouldn’t notice the blush on your face. Lucky for you, he started telling a story that happened in his geography class and things slowly fell into their usual, casual place, at least up until you had to leave.

You placed the last little jar in its respective spot on the shelf

“I think this is it, right?” Benny asked

“It should be”

“Perfect, I’m in dire need of a snack. You want chips? I have some upstairs”

“No, it’s late, I should head home”

“Um, ok yeah. No problem” but none of you moved after that, you just looked at one other for a little bit, until the awkwardness got too much and you took your backpack and headed to the door

“Thanks again” Benny said right when you reached the door

“No problem” and then time froze again. You got lost in his pretty eyes and barely noticed his chest rising and falling faster with every second that passed until, you both found yourselves in each other's arms, kissing deeply and desperately, as if you’ve waited all your life for this. Your hands tangled in his hair, pulling at loose strands, his hands running up and down your back, bringing you as close to him as possible. All your senses were intoxicated with him and finally, the little pit in your chest disappeared. Your lips fit together like puzzle pieces but than, all of a sudden, Benny pushed you away aggressively

“No, I can’t do that!” his back turned to you, but you saw the red in his face and his hands went to his head, massaging the back of his neck just like you had been doing

“Benny…”

“No, no, you are Ethan’s ex and we can’t do that! I can’t do that!”

“B, listen to me!” you tried to step towards him but at your slightest movement, he jumped back, finally turning to face you

“Y/N, that was a mistake and I’m sorry! We shouldn’t have done that! It was a mistake” your eyes stung from the tears threatening to spill down your cheeks

“Don’t say that…” you could barely hear your own voice and were genuinely surprised when B replied

“Of course it was! As much as I wanted to do it and as right as it may have felt, it’s barely been a few weeks since your last relationship with MY BEST FRIEND and your best friend too and we can’t, I CAN’T do this to him! You, you guys dated and…”

“But we didn’t!” you said

“Of course you did, are you out of your mind?” Benny looked at you, teary eyed and desperate “I saw you, we saw you! Holding hands and cheek kisses! He had his arm around your back every moment of every goddamn school day and every time I wished it was me! He had all of you and he could hold you during movie nights and spend all his free time with you and kiss you and run his hands through your hair and everytime he did it I imagined that I was in his spot, hoping you would look at me with the same love and admiration that you looked with at him but now it’s too late! It doesn’t matter that he didn’t cherish you better while he had you because I still can not take you! I can’t do that to him!”

“Benny it wasn’t real!”

“What does that even mean Y/N?” he was yelling now, but you knew he wasn’t angry, just hurt. You saw the tears in his eyes and how hard he tried to stop them from running down his face.

“We weren’t ever dating! We just pretended!” the madness in his eyes turned to a question, an invitation for you to continue “It was all a show Bens. He wanted to impress Sarah. He asked me to fake a relationship with him.”

Benny leaned over the table, resting his body on his arms. He seemed to be thinking for a while, until he said “That’s a stupid idea”

You laughed “I thought so too when he told me” Benny seemed to think some more before saying

“Such an Ethan idea to have” which only made you laugh more

“So it was never real?” he asks you finally

“No! It was just an act” but even now, Benny couldn’t say anything. He was looking at his hands nervously. You took a deep breath and said the one thing you could think of

“He knows if that’s what you are wondering” the boy looked at you with questioning eyes again “Ethan I mean”

“Ethan knows what?”

“That I like you” Benny straightened and looked at you with soft eyes once more, you felt your cheeks heat up and turned to walk away but Benny quickly grabbed your wrist and pulled you into him, holding you in a tight hug. 

“So, does that mean I can kiss you again?” a small smile tugged at your lips

“Please do”

Thanks for asking this question! I was planning on putting a statement out about this soon anyways lol. I edit all of the podcast episodes by myself and they take quite a long time to do, especially considering I have other things to do in my life as well (what a shocker!), so having more time to edit them is very helpful for me! I'm always trying to improve the podcasts presentation and get better at editing along the way, and I love every person who has been sticking with us through it all!

Once we upload the season one finale episode on June 3rd, we're gonna take a little break from the show, but there will be a special mbav movie episode of the podcast coming out, along with some extra videos to make the break feel a little less like a break! Damsel in Shining Armour - Benny Weir x Reader

Benny Weir, Benny the magic man Mephistopheles, Benny rabbit, and plain old B. These are the many names my geeky yet lovable boyfriend goes by. And honestly… I just call him pretty boy or babe. It gets the job done. 

Anyway, this lovable dork is like I've just mentioned, a lovable dork. And today, the dork was kind of kidnapped… by some vampires. So here's a retelling of what happened! Because, I can! It all kind of started when Benny was careless with his magic. I don't have a specific example of when or what happened in mind but you know how Benny is. 

"Have you guys seen Benny?" Ethan had asked me that morning at school while leaning against the lockers next to mine. We usually all meet up at whoever gets done last's locker and this morning it was obviously me. "Sadly I haven't E. If I had and he needed to go somewhere I would've let you know first." I spoke as I got the books I needed for the first half of school. "Maybe he'll turn up sometime during class?" I had shrugged off Benny's absence and walked off to my first class.

By the time lunch had rolled around we hadn't heard from or seen Benny and both of us were starting to get concerned. "So, where do we think he's run off to?" I mused and propped my head up on my hands after sitting opposite Ethan at the plastic top table. "I have no idea… anytime he's ever tried to skip school he's planned it way in advance and told me about it way before." Ethan groaned while rubbing at his eyes in frustration.

"What up guys?" Rory suddenly had appeared behind Ethan and though I saw him getting lunch a moment earlier it still startled me a bit when he spoke. Nothing compared to how jumpy Ethan was though, like he'd been shaken up like an alcoholic drink. "Benny just hasn't shown his face all day and we're worried is all Rory." I had placed a hand on one of Ethan's to help calm him while I answered Rory.

"Oh really? That sucks… do you need any help lookin' for him?" Rory offered and I motioned for him to sit next to one of us. "You can smell people's blood and tell them apart right R?" he nodded while also shaking his hand to show that's sort of how it works. "I'm pretty sure I'd only be able to tell which smell is Benny if I've had his before, which… I haven't." I sighed and told them to follow me.

I led them to my locker out of which I had pulled a vial filled with blood. I tilted it around to make sure it wasn't dried up and it flowed a little slower than fresh blood usually does. "Benny gave me this the other day and said to give it to either you, Erica, or Sarah if he went missing. I had no idea why at the time but i guess this is what it was for." I chuckled at my shitty realization when Ethan grabbed the vial from me. "He gave it to you and not me?" He questioned, tilting it around as I had earlier but he looked at it more intensively than I had. 

"Yeah, I guess. I don't know why he gave it to me instead of you to be honest, you are more responsible than either of us." He hummed and handed the vial to Rory who immediately popped the cork off and gave it a quick yet deep sniff before downing the whole thing. "So? Any difference?" Ethan urgently asked while carefully watching Rory. 

Rory had started walking down the hall and around the corner to the front door of the school. "Follow me guys!" He raced out the doors and we waited for him to come back and realize that not all of us have vampire speed. Which he did after about a minute. After which he grabbed one of both Ethan and my hands and then sped off out the doors again. 

We made a few stops while Rory was trying to follow the smell of Benny. A few times Rory got distracted, as he does sometimes, and Ethan had to remind him what we were in the middle of. 

Eventually we ended up at the edge of town at an old warehouse, the logo chipping on the side suggested it might've been used to house the stock of an old soda company that I'd only heard of once or twice from Grandma Weir. Plus there were broken glass soda bottles outside the building that helped with the context clues.

"Wait… what happens if Benny is in danger? Do we actually have anything to defend ourselves and help save him?" I stopped Ethan and Rory from moving toward the door and looked at both of them worried. "Well for one thing Rory is a vamp so he's good and I always keep one of the daggers Grandma Weir gave us in my pocket just in case. So we should fundamentally be fine." Ethan reasoned and pulled the dagger out of his pocket slightly to show me and I nodded.

We slowly opened the warehouse door, Ethan taking point and Rory and me following behind. When we all got in and had carefully closed the door we looked around and saw nothing. Though, I heard faintly from the back of the warehouse the sound of Benny being a smartass to someone who I figured was one of his captors. We double checked to make sure that no one was in the wide open area and when we didn't see anyone we all started to walk across to where Benny presumably was. 

What we didn't see was a handful of vampires hiding up in the shadowed rafters that jumped down and landed around us. Rory immediately was in a fight with two of the vampires that laid on my left. Ethan stabbed the vampire to the right of us after ducking and weaving around him. When I started to back away from the one approaching me from the front to stall for time I bumped into the one that stood behind us. Rory jumped across from where he was to push the one in front of me away so Ethan or I could run. 

They rolled around on the concrete floor fighting and for a minute I stood mesmerized then Ethan pulled me away and started fighting the one I had bumped into. "(Y/n), go find Benny. We'll take care of these two guys." Ethan ushered me forward and I nodded before running towards where I had heard Benny's voice from faintly before. 

I stumbled into a room that was lit up inside and saw Benny tied to a chair facing away from me. "You come back to hear me explain how your plan to steal me was a mistake?" Benny sassed and I chuckled. His head turned as far as it could to the side which wasn't quite far enough to look directly at me but he must've noticed that I wasn't one of the vamps that kidnapped him because he visibly relaxed. "Who's the damsel in distress now?" He let out a held breath as I walked closer "How about I get you untied pretty boy?" I asked with a smile and he nodded vigorously. I laughed as I untied the rope around his wrists and then let him untie his ankles himself.

"Thanks for being my knight sweetness, I really needed one today." He admitted while placing his rope burned hands on my waist and giving me a kiss on the forehead before a peck on the lips. "It's no problem at all babe, I'd do it anytime." I smiled up at him and ruffled his already messy hair.

"Did you find him? They didn't kill him did they?!" Ethan bursted into the room breathing heavily while somehow still yelling. I laughed and turned to a wide eyed and smiling Ethan. "Nope, he's all good. He's definitely still breathing and has a pulse." I laughed and Ethan ran over to hug both of us. The boys enveloped me in a warm and loving hug when Rory walked in with blood on his clothes and breathing heavily. I motioned him over and his face lit up before using a bit of vamp speed to get across the room and into the hug.

"And that's what happened while you and Erica were at school today. Sorry for not telling you but I figure you already deal with enough that we should probably give you a break." I tell Sarah over video call and Benny leans over into frame from his position on the bed and gives a wave before placing his hands on my waist and demanding that I get off call with Sarah and cuddle him.

This is my first finished fic for Benny Weir and I'm super excited cause I've loved mbav since it came out and I was 10 back then lol anyways I just want to say thank you to anyone who read through this. I'd appreciate any critics if anyone has any!

The Brewed

Notes: A little treat for my MBAV followers. You can thank @faithiebrock01​ for the request and I hope I fulfilled your expectations! This episode was hard to write for because it jumped around so much.

Summary: Follows the plot of Season 1 Episode 11 “The Brewed”

If someone had told you that morning that you were going to be up against zombie versions of your high school teachers-

Well, you probably would have believed them.

You grew up across the street from Benny and Ethan and consequently were best friends with the nerd squad.

And you’d been through a lot. So, really, it wouldn’t have surprised you.

But any warning would have been nice.

Because barricading yourself in the girls bathroom wasn’t how you wanted your afternoon to go.

“Ethan!” You cried. “Benny! Someone! Help!”

With your back against the door, you fumble in your pocket for your cell phone. Hitting Benny’s number. “Come on, Come on, Ben, pick up your phone.”

“Y/N?”

“Benny!” 

“Oh, hot stuff, thank God you’re safe! Where are you?”

“In the girls bathroom by the science lab. Where are you?”

“Too far away from there.” Benny said. “We’re in the bathroom on the other side of the school. Sarah’s not picking up, Erica’s MIA , and we’re not desperate enough to call Rory yet. But don’t worry. Teacher’s will never enter a student washroom.”

“I don’t think the unwritten rules of education apply when they’re mindless zombies, Ben,”

“You know who’s fault this really is? Sarah’s. ‘Why don’t you fight your own battles.’”

There was a banging noise and Benny screamed before the line went dead.

“Benny? Benny? Hello?” You started panicking. What happened? Did the zombie teachers get Benny?

You chewed on your lip in worry.

Yeah, you were worried about Ethan, too, he was your best friend, but Benny...

Well, with Benny there was always something else there. A aching feeling in your chest whenever he would flirt with other girls, butterflies in your stomach when he would compliment you or save you from the supernatural thing of the day. You loved all your friends, but Benny...you loved Benny more.

There was banging outside the door and you pressed yourself up against it, trying to keep whatever it was out.

“Y/N! It’s us! Ethan and Benny!”

“Benny?” You threw open the door and jumped into his arms.

“Hey, I’m here, too,” Ethan pouted.

You smiled and quickly hugged him.

“Come on, let’s go before they come back.”

As you all made your way to the science lab, they caught you up to speed on the zombie situation with the coffee, the ectoplasmic refractor, and the pig brain.

“Who would have thought that the bio-lab had such big pig brains,” Benny said, staring at the jar with a weird kind of joy.

“I guess, I did,” Ethan replied, grabbing the handle to the teacher’s lounge.

“Into the lion’s den, you muttered and you all stuck your heads in the room.

“Ok, over there, follow me,” Ethan whispered, crouching and crawling under the teacher’s foosball table.

Ethan went first, followed by you, and then Benny who was covering you as the zombies walked by, groaning.

“Ok, so,” Ethan hit Benny’s arm as he watched the teacher stalk by, his hands grabbing your arms, protectively. “we throw the pig brain, grab the coffee, and we’re home free.”

“I don’t think you understand the meaning of home-free.”

You glared at Benny as his phone rang.

“Turn that thing off!”

“Oh, so when I tried to call you again you didn’t answer but now-”

“Not the time, Y/N!”

“Hello? I can’t talk right-  What? Really? That’s amazing.”

“Benny!” Ethan whisper-shouted.

“500 minutes, unlimited text. 30 bucks! That’s good, right?”

“Hang up!” You scolded.

He did so and stuffed his phone back in his pocket.

“Ok. Pig brain..” Ethan said, unscrewing the lid. “...is go.”

He threw the jar and watched as the zombies made their way over to it.

“All right. All right. I’m going for it.”

He quickly crawled over the the coffee dispenser and pulled a cup from the stack. “Ok. Ok. Right here. Ok. Ok.”

“Too many, oks, Ethan,” You whisper-shouted.

He turned around and screamed in surprise as one of the teacher zombies eyed him. “I dropped the sample.”

Benny pushed you behind him. “Take, Y/N. I’ll get the coffee. You guys go!”

“But Benny-”

“Go!”

Ethan dragged you out of the room and you both hid around a corner, breathing heavily.

You heard footsteps and looked at Ethan worriedly.

“Benny?” He whispered uncertainly. “Is that you? Benny?”

The footsteps drew closer and closer.

You threw yourself in front of Ethan and yelled, making Benny, who was the perpetrator of the footsteps, screamed and clutched the coffee maker to his chest.

“Benny!” You said, sighing with relief.

“Benny, are you okay?” Ethan asked.

“Never better. Check this out.” He leaned against the lockers with you and showed off the coffee maker and then-

“Cool!”

You all stumbled backwards in fear as the masked Rory appeared from seemingly nowhere. 

“Is that hot chocolate?”

“Rory!” You whined.

“Gotcha!” he exclaimed, pulling the mask off his head. “Check out what I swiped from the teacher’s lounge! Hicks took this from me in September!”

“Wait, you were in the teacher’s lounge?” Ethan asked.

“Candy, games, TV, couches!”

“Zombies?”

“Really?” Rory asked, innocently. “I just thought they were all really grumpy.”

Ethan sighed, shaking his head. “Whatever. We have to get this coffee to the chemistry lab.”

“Chemistry?” Rory said, wrinkling his nose and shaking his head. “Boring. I’d rather smack me some zombies.”

He put the mask back on. “RV away!”

He disappeared with his super speed.

“We better rearm,” Ethan said and Benny sighed, leaning his head against the lockers. 

You help Ethan dislodge the fire extinguisher and you all head to the lab.

“Let’s get this cure going, huh?” Benny says and you narrow your eyes at him.

“Are you okay?” You ask.

“Never better. Let’s go.”

Sarah hands Ethan the ectoplasmic refractor.

“Oh, thanks,” Ethan says. “Did you see my mom?”

“We exchanged a few words,” She replied.

“Benny, are you sure you’re okay?” You said, placing your hand on his forehead. “You’re really sweaty and burning up.”

“Yeah! I’m fine,” He pushed you off him. “I’m pumped! Let’s do this zombie cure!”

“There’s definitely something going on here,” Ethan said, looking into the microscope. “These cells are like neurons. Like brain cells, but they’re mutating.”

“Ok. Mutant neurons. Cool.”

“Benny-”

You were cut off by the banging at the door.

“Company!” Sarah shouted. “Speed up the geeking!:”

“You can’t rush science!”

“You can if you don’t want your brain eaten!” You replied, handing Sarah the fire extinguisher.

She blew them back from the door.

“What happened?” Ethan questioned. “The neurons are gone.”

“What?” You asked.

“Just looks like plain old coffee now. It’s like it’s cured itself just sitting there.”

“Maybe it has to be fresh?” Sarah suggested, hitting the fire extinguisher again.

“Hot! That’s why the zombies hate the fire extinguisher. It’s cold!”

“Great...” Benny said, swaying a bit. “So we just wait here until January?”

“Can we just blast the air-conditioning or something?” Sarah asked, frantically.

Ethan laughed nervously. “Sounds like a plan. Benny, pack up. We gotta fight our way to the mechanical room.”

“Who are you kidding?” Sarah said. “They’ll break you like a fingernail. I’ll do it.”

“Oh!” Ethan laughed again and Benny clutched his upper arm. “If you wanna go.”

“Totally. Next zombie rescue is on us.” Benny said, practically leaning his whole weight on you. “Brain...”

“Benny, what’s up?” Ethan asked.

“He’s been bitten!” You cried, pulling up his shirt sleeve.

“Benny! Why didn’t you tell me?” Ethan asked.

He hissed in pain as you inspected the bite. “I thought you might...get cure...Fix...Benny. Can I bite your head?”

“Y/N...” Ethan said, grabbing you by the upper arm and pulling you away from Benny as he backed away slowly.

“Where the hell is Sarah...” You mutter.

“Benny, just stay with me. Not right with me, but, you know. ‘Cause of the biting thing.”

Benny’s head was in the table now.

“Just hang on, Ben, ok?” You said. “Hang on!”

The zombies moaned as they burst the door open.

Benny fully transformed and turned on you.

You screamed and you and Ethan grabbed onto each other.

The window crashed behind you and more zombie arms grabbed at your shirt and arms, you struggled against them and Ethan pulled you away with him as you both were back into a corner.

“Come on, Sarah,”

Ethan grabbed the fire extinguisher and blew it at every teacher it would reach.

Benny, the abnormally strong zombie, pulled it from Ethan’s hands.

“Benny!” You screeched and he looked over at you with dead eyes, he started coming towards you, he was face to face against the wall with you when-

The air conditioning kicked on.

One by one, each zombie hit the floor, their cells going back to normal.

You gasp as Benny hits the floor in front of you. You fall to your knees next to him and Ethan followed suit.

You pull his head into your lap and stroke his head as he started going back to normal.

Sarah comes back in. “We good?”

Ethan sighs. “Yeah. The zombies are all cooled off and catching some Zs.”

He yawned. “I get tired just looking at them.”

“You know what we need? A coffee.”

You laughed wearily.

“No. I’ll pass, thanks.” Ethan replied.

Benny picks his head up off your lap slightly to mutter. “Half-calf, low-fat, latte mochaccino. No foam.”

His head falls back into your lap as you giggle.

He looks up at you, picking his arm up to run his hands through your hair. “I love your giggle...”

You only giggled again and press a kiss to his forehead. “I’m just glad you’re back to normal. I was a little scared for you there.”

He chuckles. “You missed, you know,”

“What?”

“This.”

He pulled you into a kiss, lips meeting lips instead of his forehead.

Sarah and Ethan shake their heads.

“And the zombie movie comes to an end. Happily ever after.”

**** “I can’t believe I like that guy,” Sarah said with a wrinkled nose as “Cute Boy” and “Lazy Barista” talk to the press.

“This stinks. We saved the day.” Benny said, an arm around your shoulders.

“We?” Ethan said with a laugh. “You almost bit Y/N’s face off.”

“You mean like this?” He replied before kissing you all over your face, making you squeal and laugh.

“Augh. No. Gross.”

You laughed, pushing him off you. “Sorry, Benny Boo, but we unsung heroes have to take the high rode. Right, Sarah?”

You all looked over to find Sarah had disappeared.

“I hate their vampire speed.”

Sarah knocked the coffee cups out of the posers hands and the three of you watched them look around confusedly. 

“Great! The high road.” Sarah replied, coming back.

A very long time ago I suggested a MBaV au then later took it down because I didn’t think that many people watched the show so not many people probably knew what I was talking about. I’ve decided to bring it back.

I had art to go with this (Which I might have posted earlier so my apologies if this is the second time you’ve seen this au) but people didn’t seem particuarly fond of it and I was worried that the art would be offputting from the actual concept.

Anyway, MBaV stands for My Babysitter’s a Vampire and it was this cheesy supernatural show I watched when I was a kid. This au has a few differences from the show, either because the time frame doesn’t fit (MBaV is set in the modern day, TGS is Victorian London so some things don’t match up), because I don’t properly remember the episode (It’s been a long time, not everything will match up. There are some episodes that I didn’t see at all.), or just because the change seemed better fitting for the au.

Dr Jekyll is a powerful spellcaster who, after a mishap with a spell years ago, accidentally split himself into two. While Jekyll is known for being one of the older and more skilled spellcasters in London, Edward has a bad habit of messing up spells, either by not reading through the consequences before using them or reading them backwards. He’s technically still powerful but it’s difficult for people to tell when so many of his spells go sideways.

The pair can hide memories from each other and both use it to screw with the other.

Jekyll runs a society for the supernatural, trying to keep the supernatural side of London from messing around with the normal side too much. However, the society has a cover of being a society for the sciences so it attracts a mixture of regular humans and the supernatural meaning that:

A. The supernatural side of the society has to be hidden from some of the society’s members

B. They’re not actually sure how many are human and how many are supernatural, leading to some more malicious monsters slipping in.

Lanyon, meanwhile, is a seer. By touching people or certain objects he can receive visions of the future or the past but they’re not always clear.

Throughout his life, these abilities have allowed him to learn a lot of things he didn’t want to know about - he always knew when other people were just trying to use him, he always knew when something bad was going to happen to someone, and it left him rather cynical and detatched. He does his best to avoid contact with people to avoid getting these visions.

However, he starts to get particularly bad visions from Dr Jekyll, hinting that Edward Hyde will eventually start being a danger to Jekyll. As a result, he’s doing his best to figure out what the deal with Edward is before it’s too late or, at least, get rid of Edward before things can come to pass.

Rachel and Henry don’t seem to take him seriously about Edward (Rachel doesn’t want to believe that Edward could hurt Jekyll and, therefore, reasons that Lanyon’s visions aren’t telling him everything and Jekyll, obviously, already knows everything and wants Lanyon to stay out of it before he learns the truth.)

Rachel is a fledgling vampire, bitten and turned by Moreau, the leader of a vampiric cult. She hasn’t drunk human blood yet which means she’s weaker than most vampires, hoping that, if she remains a fledgling (continues to not drink from people) she might one day be cured.

Jekyll helps make a blood substitute for her so she never has to drink from a human.

The Elephants are an all female all vampire group so Lucy and Elsie are very supportive of Rachel’s vampirism and often give her advice on the matter. (Although they don’t really get her aversion from drinking human blood.) Lucy is a very old and powerful vampire.

Eli was killed by Moreau when he ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Frankenstein is a necromancer who came to London looking for the  powerful spellcaster she had heard so much about, wanting his help to cure vampirism entirely. However, the moment she arrived she ended  up in an altercation with Moreau, leaving her injured. To her annoyance,  she had to pick up the cover of being a scientist looking for a cure  for her son’s terrible condition (The son being Creature.) and was taken in by the society while  she searches for the spellcaster in her spare time. To her extra  annoyance, every time she slips away and starts trying to track the  spellcaster, it always somehow seems to lead her directly into the path  of “the naive human” Dr Jekyll leading to her being put back to bed every time.

In all fairness, Jekyll has perfected the ignorant human act.

Things become trickier however when her spell finally leads her to Edward Hyde instead, leading her to believe that he’s the spellcaster. Edward doesn’t correct her or even let Jekyll know about this, wanting to prove himself as powerful as Jekyll.

Eventually, he starts searching for a powerful magical artifact which could help them. A magical artifact with absolutely no corrupting properties at all. Ever. It’s perfectly safe and will not at all ever send Hyde, already the personification of evil, towards trying to eliminate his good half and take over London. Of course not.

Jekyll knows that something bad is afoot but, with Hyde blocking his memories from him, he doesn’t know exactly what. Neither does Frankenstein realize her mistake until it’s too late.

The lodgers:

Helsby is a mermaid. When he’s touched by water, he turns into his mermaid form and his singing voice can send everyone around him into a rage. After he causes a lot of chaos around the society, Lanyon, Rachel, and Hyde set out to try to defeat him in a music contest. If he loses, he has to stop. This plan goes sideways when Hyde marches in with a trumpet cursed to make the most horrible noise possible and basically forces Helsby into submission instead. And destroys Lanyon and Rachel’s eardrums in the process.

Jasper is a werewolf as always. He came directly to the society, looking for help with his condition, fearing the danger of his werewolf half. Werewolves and vampires have a natural rivalry but Rachel just decided that the taboo of it was just more romantic and fell for him. When the full moon came, though, everyone found out that Jasper just turns into a harmless dog. Rachel was a little disappointed but still loved him anyway.

Cantilupe is an ancient god who slipped in with the intent of collecting followers in the society to bring about the apocalypse, pretending to be a zoologist. However, she then met Lavender, a newer human zoologist who viewed her as her senior and constantly looked for Cantilupe’s help with her work. Cantilupe decided she was fond of this tiny human and stopped trying to end the world. Lavender still isn’t aware that her senior is a literal god.

Maijabi is a spirit that can inhabit mirrors. His cursed mirror was accidentally taken in by the society where he began to manipulate people who looked into his mirror into harming people around them to get revenge for his death after dying in a prank gone wrong. As it turned out, though, Lanyon could see him for what he was thanks to his powers. After stopping him, Jekyll used his magic to make him visible to other people so he can sort of live again. He still can’t touch people without passing through them.

Sinnett is human but, at one point, a sentient tree ends up getting into the society and taking control of all of the automatons, technology, and clockwork in there, including Sinnett’s arm. He helps arm the trio with flamethrowers to fight the tree but they couldn’t get the last bit of tree of out Sinnett’s prosthetic arm. Now he has to deal with an evil tree in his arm which occasionally tries to convince him to destroy the world. He tunes it out.

Tweedy is also human but he’s a “paranormal investigator” who came to the society looking for ghosts. Most of his equipment suspiciously goes off around Rachel (She is undead and all) and everyone has to keep trying to hide the numerous ghosts and zombies in the society.

Bryson is the ghost of a once famous aeronaut looking to regain his lost fame. He tries to force Lanyon as the only person who can see him into helping him with this but Lanyon knows absolutely nothing about aeronautics.

Other things:

Once, as a lesson to try to teach Robert, Rachel, and Edward to work together, Henry secretly used a spell to send each one of them into their own pocket dimension based off of each of their fears. Initially it was supposed to have safeguards in place to keep the exercise safe and keep the fears mild.

Hyde was given the fear of being alone (A world completely devoid of people)

Rachel was given a fear of losing herself to her vampirism (A more powerful and evil version of herself)

Robert was given the villain from a play he watched recently which frightened him. (An automaton dentist gone rogue.)

However, either by Hyde messing around with magic to try to free them all or by some malicious outside intervention (Because it would be mean for Jekyll to do this himself but I can’t miss out the angst of a proper worst fear episode.) the safeguards got removed and the worlds started to twist themselves to everyone’s deepest darkest fears.

Hyde ended up chased by his own friends, turning on him after they discovered his secret.

Rachel was chased by the ghost of Eli, blaming her for his death.

Robert got a monstrous version of Hyde from his visions, the version of Hyde he knew was someday destined to kill Jekyll. (Hyde was very flattered when he found out.)

All of them try to hide their fears from the others and the worlds continue feeding off their fear and becoming more monsterous and twisted as time goes on.

They all only just escape.

Jekyll and Hyde have been seen in the same place before which doesn’t help anyone figure out that they’re the same person. Thanks to messing around with an old cursed camera from Jekyll’s collection, Hyde accidentally makes an evil clone of himself. Everyone kind of notices that Hyde’s acting a little worse than usual but Jekyll’s the only one who knows that something wrong’s going on here (Because that’s himself just standing there mocking him.) and Jekyll has to try to stop the evil Hyde alone, unable to tell anyone why he knows that isn’t the real Hyde.

Jekyll once accidentally hired a carriage haunted by the ghost of a dead vampire and everyone had to work together to stake it because it wouldn’t stop running people over.

They don’t talk about it.

The horses came out fine.

Hyde once tried to resurrect an old pet of Lucy’s to attempt to impress her (Pets don’t live awfully long when you’re immortal after all.) but ended up bringing to life every dead animal in the area. Every last one of them turned out violent. After getting rid of most of the animals, they found one little zombie dog that somehow didn’t become violent. Jekyll took it in and named it Zosi.

MBAV Zombie Apocalypse AU

Now I can't write for shit which sucks cause I really want to make this into a fanfic cause I love basically anything with zombies or vampires and to combine them both is like a god like thing to do of me LMAO kidding BUT I'm just gonna put down ideas I had for the fanfic since I probably won't write it

•It'd be a lot more serious than the show and I'd make a lot of the characters suffer teehee 💓 very unlike how the episode "The Brewed" went

•Benny starts joking around a lot at the beginning to try to lighten the mood but Ethan tells him it's not the time for that and then they both get into an emotional talk about the whole situation they're in ;_;

•At first I had a hard time deciding if I wanted them to be older when it happens so they aren't living with their families and it'd be a whole thing where they TRY to get to their family so they'll all be together if anything really bad happens but then decided against it so they'd be with them at the start

•(About to get to more major stuff) Benny loses Grandma Weir and his spellbook and has a very big emotional breakdown after they get trapped inside a small shop while Ethan is bleeding out from his leg which I won't get into detail about owo

•Ethan loses his parents- I won't get into detail about how they die since it's nothing big but it does make Ethan and Jane cry a shit ton but they fight through it

•SpeaKing oF- Jane will live not gonna say much else just wanted to put that out there

•I almost thought making it to where Sarah, Erica and Rory weren't vampires but I don't wanna go too far from how the series actually is since I'm already making it much more serious than the show

•Rory slowly becomes actually very smart- the whole Apocalypse thing really starts to get to him and he tries hard to be ready for any bad situation they may get into

•I wanna include a ship in this fanfic but I'm not sure what ship because I'm very sure everyone wants Bethan but I need to satisfy my needs as well and there aren't very many Ethory/Bennory fanfics ;_; I know I'll include Serica as a side ship though

•Major character deaths? Maybe.
