While Flynn loved to lean into how gifted he was in the looks department, he had to grudgingly acknowledge that while he might have been born with great hair, it was only going to stay great if he had someone who knew what they were doing take care of it. Just any old barber shop was not going to cut it. Yet, being as he had never settled down before, any good stylist he had visited tended to not get a repeat visit because Flynn had usually moved on by that time, whether by choice or by necessity if the cops were hot on his trail. But now, actually having been remaining in one place for what was an amazingly long time by his standards, Flynn figured he might as well have a go at seeing if the local salon would be worth making a repeat visit. Hoping they took walk-ins, he opened the door and peered in, his presence being announced by the ding of a bell. "Hey, uh, just wondering if you do walk-ins? 'Cause it's been a while and the old coif could use a little, you know, re-coifing."

Most people probably would not assume that Colt did anything special when it came to his grooming. And in truth he did not go above and beyond in that department. Why would he, when he spent a lot of the time covered in grease and motor oil? But he had also been born with a great head of hair, and he was rather proud of his curls and liked to keep them looking in top shape. So when he had heard that there was a good salon in town, he had decided to drop in--and now had been going there ever since. The fact that he had hit it off with the owner also went a long way to ensuring his status as a returning customer. As Morgan greeted him, he waved a bit and then headed back to the wash chair. "Good t' see you ag'in too," Colt said, settling himself in the chair while Morgan took care of his hair, "I been good. Keepin' busy at th' garage. I ain't so great at bein' careful wit' my hands th' way you are, so it's better that I jus' have t' mostly bang on stuff."

It wasn't that they didn't like their new job, it was just a heavy workload. Still, the best part of the job was getting to meet new faces and form new relationships they might not have otherwise had. One such person was Colt Phillips, a man with luscious hair that needed tender maintenance to keep at its peak beauty. Morgan was more than happy to provide.
As their last customer was leaving, they could see the large build of their next one coming through. "Well there he is, the big man himself! Come in, sit in a wash chair, let's get started!" They followed him to the back and gently lay his hair down in the sink. As they wrapped a towel around his broad shoulders, they smiled down at him. "So, how have you been since the last time you were in?"

There was something special about Transformations beauty salon, in Chelsea's humble opinion. Maybe it was just the fact that all the other beauty salons hadn't treated her hair with due respect, blindly trusting that her natural strawberry blonde could take color like a sponge; maybe it was that it beat doing a two-handed homemade mess over her sink; maybe it was that it just passed the vibe checks better than the other places she had ventured into; but regardless, walking in to the salon after a month or so of letting her blonde roots grow out felt like coming home.
“Mx Morgan, I’m ready for my dye job,” she said dramatically, pulling the orange sunglasses off her face and striking a silver screen-diva pose.

"You know what, I'm thinking big." Ollie said as they spun around in Morgan's chair. "I also think I wanna go a little brighter than normal." They needed an update, something fun. Something fresh. This was their time. Ollie came to Morgan's salon that morning with the intent of one: catching up with their dearest friend. And second, to update their do. Not that they couldn't do it on their own. Infact they always enjoyed the time it took to wash, detangle and do their own hair. But, there times when it had to be done by a professional.
"Okay, so what has been up with you? I swear I haven't seen you in forever. Which frankly is my own fault, I've been so busy."

HAPPIESTPLACEHQ TASK 11 - INTRO & CONNECTIONS
fawn weathers ~ fifty-six ~ baker ~ she/her (cis woman, asexual) [ bio / muse / headcanons / spotify ]
Character Information
Being the middle Weathers sister means being a mediator and a peacemaker twenty-four seven. That, and years of sinking into the background against her more popular sisters, have made Fawn someone determined to prove herself.
Once she outgrew the Weathers household, she has been globetrotting and travelling all over in search of her calling: as a freelance writer, as a yoga teacher, even having managed to open a bakery (albeit short-lived), but nothing stuck for long.
Has been fully dedicated to being her niece Rose’s caretaker for the last couple decades, and as she’s coming into her own and spending less time at home, it gives her auntie plenty of time to pursue her own goals.
Fawn’s been getting better at standing up for herself and complaining about what she doesn’t see as fair... With mixed results.
Wanted Connections
Bowling Buddy: The Redwood Hollow bowling team is always in need of people willing to put in the effort to get into nationals. Most of all, Fawn needs someone that matches her drive for victory and passion for the game.
Fellow Wine Aunt: Beyond the tight-knit community of the yoga ladies and the bowling team, Fawn could do with someone who just likes spending some time with her. Doesn’t need to be an aunt, certainly, nor fit the typical image of one: they just need to be willing to chill and have a kombucha with Fawn by the lakeshore.
Plot Ideas
Grass Is Always Greener: Fawn is a very positive, easy-going person... But for some reason (probably very petty, likely out of sheer envy) this other charming, completely decent person just makes Fawn bristle; or, maybe Fawn is the unaware Mr Flanders herself in this situation. Could lead to all sorts of fun hijinks and misunderstandings.
Business Partner: For the third time (or is it fourth already?) Fawn is trying to open her own bakery in town, and is determined to make it succeed. This is the instance when she needs to admit she can do with some help; and this miraculous, risk-taking partner might be the one to take this enterprise off the ground. Then again, they might also be swindling poor trusting Fawn for all she’s got...
Empty Nest Syndrome: Twenty years passed by in a flash. Little Rose is all grown up, and Fawn wants someone else she can mentor and care for like her own child. Even if she’s barely fit to be a mother, whoever the next person she takes under her wing is will definitely be as loved as if they were a part of the family.
Taken Connections
Friends: @mxmorganmorph, @gwen-pleakley
Bowling League Pals: @iceice-best, @robertpxrr
Other
I would love for the other two Weathers sisters, Maria and Flora, to show up, and get a real sibling dynamic going on!
Any other older characters, such as Patricia Marianne or Delbert Doppler, might have an easier time relating to Fawn and her experiences.

Tina finally graduated. It felt like it took four hundred years and two days to get there, but now, at the end of those four hundred years and two days she was now the proud owner of a piece of paper with a shiny sticker on it. In and around that she had finally actually told James that she maybe, possibly, potentially had a job offer at Morgan's salon and that she totally hadn't neglected to tell him about it on purpose.
The next step, after telling James all about it, would actually be telling Morgan themself. So, she had popped her head into the salon, brandishing the shiny stickered paper with a smug grin. "Not to brag or anything but I totally passed, just like I told you I would."

thread for @mxmorganmorph
"𝐎𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐲, 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧!" James said as he welcomed his guest, they had told him they had something to discuss with him and like usual James was more than willing to make time for someone. He walked them to his office, and helped them with their seat. "𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞." He chuckled sweetly, ever since being engaged to Tina Bell James has been on roses, moonlight and fairy dust. Which meant James was in an extraordinary great mood.
Sure there was the issue with Peter. And he was certain that Oliver needed his time more than ever - he was working on all those things right now. After all he was Oliver's best friend. And friends didn't abandon each other.
If only Peter would realize that.

basil, bluebell, hydrangea, lotus, 🍌
basil : does your muse have a love - hate relationship with anyone or anything ?
He has a love - hate relationship with technology. He’s aware of its benefits, but he hates it, and he’s sure it hates him. He’s forever losing his temper with technology whether it be his phone, laptop, the till at the bar. The bar has a scoreboard of ‘Patrick vs Technology’ and Patrick is losing...by a lot.
bluebell : does your muse learn from their past , or are they prone to repeating the same mistakes ?
He learns but he’s also human. Sometimes when humans learn their lesson they sometimes forget to put it into practice.
hydrangea : how much does your muse value communication in their relationships with others ? are they prone to being misunderstood ?
He values it, but he’s also terrible at it. He can be misunderstood because he struggles to find the words to express how he feels at times.
lotus : has your muse ever felt as though they’ve been reborn ? have they ever desired the feeling of a fresh start , or a better understanding of themself and/or the world around them ?
He’s never felt the feeling of being reborn, but he has had the desire to have a fresh start, now more than ever thanks to Ella. External factors like Hayden will make that difficult if not impossible.
🍌 : is my muse inclined to help others, or will they only do it when it benefits them, if at all? what makes them this way? has it ever gotten them into trouble, or inconvenienced them?
Patrick is inclined to help the people he’s close to because he cares about them. He’ll help people at the bar because it’s his job but other than that I wouldn’t expect help from him.

basil, chrysanthemum, holly, iris, 🥝
basil: does your muse have a love - hate relationship with anyone or anything?
Rachel has a bit of a love-hate relationship with TV. She wasn’t allowed to watch much of it growing up, but if she was very careful she could sneak a glance through the ajar living room door if Mother had fallen asleep. Now that she can watch TV whenever she likes, she finds that she isn’t all the interested in it after all - she would rather be outside doing something than stuck inside watching the screen, trying to figure out if she’s missing a reference or not. (She really does not understand anything that happens in the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S)
chrysanthemum: how does your muse express romantic love? how do they feel about love as a concept?
Rachel doesn’t have much (see: any) experience in that department, though I don’t think it would be too dissimilar to how she expresses platonic love. She is aaaalll about spending quality time with the people she loves, taking care of them and experiencing new things with them. I suppose the only exception would be that there would be a few more kisses and cuddles thrown in there for funsies, ‘cause they seem kind of nice.
Love, as a concept, is so broad, and she hasn’t totally narrowed it all the way down to its parts yet. It sounds lovely though!
holly: how strong is your muse’s sense of intuition? are they aware of it? do they ever fear that it is only paranoia?
Rachel likes to think that she has a pretty strong sense of intuition, though that could be disputed. She can be incredibly naive at times, far too trusting and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt even when, by all other evidence, she really shouldn’t. She has only met a small handful of genuinely horrid people in her life, and has now convinced herself that her worries and fears about other people are ‘Mother’s’ paranoia and not her own. Rachel tends to miss social cues that might help her otherwise but so far she hasn’t been sorely disappointed, convincing her that her intuition (that everyone she meets is inherently good) is correct.
iris: if your muse could convey one last message to someone they have lost or left behind, what would it be?
For all the anguish that it caused her when Rachel finally realised that her Mother wasn’t her real Mother, and that her whole life had been a lie, Rachel sometimes misses her, despite knowing in her heart that she really shouldn’t. Everything happened so quickly, and with so little time to process anything, that Rachel felt like she never got to say goodbye to the woman that raised her. From the moment she stepped foot in the police station she was questioned a million times over, and thrust into a home and family that she never knew. From there, she had to testify against Mother in court, despite (at the time) not realising that she had done anything wrong. She may have ill feelings toward her now, but there was never closer. The last time she saw her she was being whisked away after sentencing, never to be heard from again.
So, Rachel would like to say goodbye. That’s it. Just goodbye.
🥝 does my muse have any ‘unusual’ habits, interests, and / or talents? do they hide it, or are they proud of it?
Do you have all day? Spending the vast majority of her life alone, Rachel had to find a plethora of ways to keep herself from getting bored. She talks to herself often when working through problems (though less-so now than she used to), absolutely hates wearing shoes and will absolutely call you “friend” within the first five minutes of meeting you. Her list of hobbies could fill an Encyclopedia of Hobbies, some of which include singing, candle-making, reading, crocheting, playing guitar, and seeing how many pens she can stack on top of each other before they fall to the ground. Learning is one of her favourite things to do, and she’ll often be seen sneaking into lectures that she hasn’t signed up for; Astronomy and Star Charting 101 have been a particular favourite, even though she doesn’t understand half of what’s going on. Rachel doesn’t hide all of her talents, though a few are maybe just a little too embarrassing to let out into the open, but for the most part, especially where art is concerned, she is quite proud of what she has achieved.

abatina, angelica, chamomile, peony, 🍎
abatina : is there anything in life your muse has changed their mind about over time ( due to becoming more educated on the topic , certain experiences , etc . ) , or that they would change their mind about under certain circumstances ?
Not really. Paxton is an open-minded person, despite him always looking like he’s pissed off. He knows that the other line of work that he’s involved in is illegal and morally wrong, but he hasn’t made any moves to remove himself from that side of things, nor is he likely to.
angelica : where does your muse draw inspiration in life ? what motivates them ?
He’s not inspired by much, or anything tbh. Paxton’s motivations to doing this is money, survival, his brother and loyalty to Hayden. It’s the basics.
chamomile : what is your muse likely to take away from a painful experience ? are they one to be haunted by adversity , or to use what they’ve gone through to become stronger ?
Other than the trauma -which he’s got in spades full- he’d take away anger. That fuels him to be stronger, to be better. Paxton bottles up any emotion he’s ever felt and moves on.
peony : what would a ‘ happy life ’ look like in your muse’s eyes ?
Not living a double life and being able to actually have people in his life. He’d be fine with getting to live the rest of his days and chilling as an old man. Paxton doesn’t ask for much in life.
🍎 : how stable is my muse’s mental health? have they been diagnosed with any mental illnesses and / or conditions? do they have any undiagnosed mental illnesses and / or conditions? do they or should they attend therapy?
Not stable at all. From the outside looking in he looks perfectly fine, just someone quiet that keeps to themselves and prefers his own company, but he’s not mentally stable at all. He dances a fine line between silent tortured soul and unbridled anger. The stuff that he’s seen and done throughout his life have taken a toll on him, but he keeps that under a very strict lock and key. Should he attend therapy? Yes, absolutely. Will he? No, absolutely not.

angelica, belladonna, gladiolus, peony, 🥝
angelica : where does your muse draw inspiration in life ? what motivates them ?
Usually, the main things that have kept Berlioz motivated throughout his piano-playing career were the pursuit of the mastery of his instrument, the success and respect of his peers, and the admiration and love of his mother. Recently, however, he’s been having quite some problems finding that inspiration...
belladonna : how does your muse respond to silence ? do they take comfort in soundlessness , or seek to fill the void with noise ?
It truly depends: if Berlioz is accompanied by people he trusts, like his family and his few friends, silence is usually very much welcome. The world generally seems too noisy and chaotic for him, and he much prefers the neat, rhythmic logic of music. Soundlessness, in that sense, is a break from both, a moment to catch his breath. However, if he’s surrounded by strangers or in an already awkward situation, the silence can quickly turn unsettling and even ill-intentioned: when strangers look at him in silence, either on the street, on a meeting or in a theater, Berlioz feels he’s being judged and analyzed, and the lack of knowledge on what others think of him in that moment can feel almost painful to him.
gladiolus : describe a moment from your muse’s life that they will never forget .
Berlioz will never forget the best performance he ever had: he was eight years old, his mother had bought him a new dark grey suit and a red tie, and she had told him he looked like a little gentleman. Even his siblings had complimented him, and wished him luck... And he played four pieces: Beethoven’s “Pathétique”, Bizet’s “Serenade”, Schubert’s “Piano Sonata No. 13″, and Debussy’s “Suite Bergamasque”. He received a round of applause that lasted almost five whole minutes. Berlioz had been practising for that recital for two months, since he wouldn’t have a break between each piece, and he put it upon himself to play each piece back to back, straining his little fingers to the limit. When he stood up after playing, there were tears of joy in his eyes.
🥝 : does my muse have any ‘ unusual ’ habits, interests, and / or talents? do they hide it, or are they proud of it?
If someone considered Berlioz “unusual” or weird in any way, especially if it is in any way negative regarding the “special boy” moniker he gained in his early childhood, he would die of embarrassment. Whatever interest he has beyond his trademark piano playing he keeps it to himself, since he’s never truly certain of how others would react to it. Berlioz has tried some “habits” while in high school to be seen as a “cool kid”; he tried to pick up skateboarding –and completely sucked at it; he tried to take martial arts classes –and got his skinny ass handed to him; he even went to a party once and tried weed, resulting in him becoming paranoid and calling his mom to pick him up while locked up in the bathroom at the edge of an anxiety attack, even though the amount he had consumed was almost imperceptible. The actual weird habits Berlioz has and hides include meticulous tweezing of any weird-placed hairs on his hands, especially on his knuckles; bird-watching and identifying, which he usually does when he’s dozing off after a particularly long piano session and ends up staring through the window of the music room; and a very shameful, very secret love for magical girl anime, especially Sakura Card Captors (which he watches in the original language, of course).

mxmorganmorph:
–
Morgan matched Sally’s smile with their own, giving an acknowledging nod at her thanks. Sometimes words didn’t need to be spoken between them. They just knew.
“That makes sense. You just got back in town, you probably don’t want to overload your plate. Trust me, I know,” they said, thinking back to this time last year when they’d returned from West Virginia, only to immediately decide to take on opening a small business. It was successful enough–they were here after all. But it had definitely been some of the toughest months they’d had since coming to Redwood Hollow. “There’ll always be time to pursue whatever dreams you have. If you decide you want to design, the world will be waiting. And I’ll be there to support you the whole way!”
Their heart was racing a little by the time they ended their rambling. They didn’t even realize how truly anxiety-inducing all this was until they finally got the chance to talk about it. Still, they took Sally’s words to heart, breathing deeply and steadily as she spoke. “Thank you, hon. I really appreciate that. I know you’ve been doing some of your own work so…any tips you have for bookkeeping, I’d appreciate. That’s the thing I’m struggling the most with right now–I was a theater kid, not a math kid. And with tax season coming up…” They shuddered. “I don’t even want to think about it.”
.
During a small pause, Sally quickly gave the venue another look. She could already imagine it bustling with customers, sunlight streaming through the windows, silhouettes dashing through the mirrors, peppy music underscoring conversations, and Morgan fluttering about, excitedly talking and gossiping while working their magic. She reached for her hair, brushing it off her coat lapels, wondering if she would (if she should) ever become a patron of the beauty salon. Of course, Sally was certain that Morgan could make her look like someone out of a movie premiere, bright eyes, glamorous hair, maybe even neat nails. But it was strange to think of herself going through such radical transformations herself. It was something to consider, though, and to pin somewhere in the back of her mind, for when the beauty salon was up and running.
“Oh, but I do want to... Well, not overload, but definitely get back to the hang of things,” Sally was quick to explain. “I liked taking some time off, but I was constantly thinking about stuff back here at home, of all the things I could be doing instead... There’s definitely some relief in being back where I’m needed,” she shrugged bashfully.
Sally’s eyes opened wide. “Yes, sure! I’ve kept the books of my household ever since I was eleven,” she stated with a little proud smile, as if that was any solid proof of unmatched abilities as an accountant. Nevermind that, just as Morgan had been quick to point out, it probably wasn’t for the best for her to be overloaded with work again. “I can help you with that, just show me what you’ve been working with and I’ll give it a look.”

bachelor’s button, carnation, oak, sage, 🍋
bachelor’s button : does your muse actively seek romantic companionship , or cherish the liberties of being single ?
recently remy has realized he’s gay, but has only shared this information with his confidante and closest brother emile. remy says he thinks this is meaningless, as he never really considered looking for a partner –choosing instead to dedicate his life to cooking; and yet, his status as an outsider in his own community doesn’t help to his growing sense of loneliness. he would say that he enjoys being single, and just generally doesn’t give it a lot of thought; but sometimes, very rarely, remy does wish he had a partner that could love him and support him. still, he doesn’t really know what being in a romantic relationship would entail, and truly, the mere idea gets him more than a bit flustered.
carnation : what is your muse’s relationship with their gender ? how do they express or not express this relationship ?
remy began his transition when he was fifteen, though he can attest that it was more for the sake of the other’s perception of him (to avoid constantly having to correcting others’ pronouns) and to alleviate his growing body dysmorphia. while he was pressured to stick to traditional feminine gender roles in his earlier childhood, he never felt comfortable in them, and mostly did whatever he felt like doing. he always found himself more comfortable among his male “cousins”, which while at first thought it weird, quickly accepted him as one of them. his female “cousins”, on the other hand, did use to mock him quite a lot back then, which only pushed him further to seek the company of other boys. still, remy isn’t particularly bothered by his presentation: as far as others respect his pronouns and don’t annoy him with personal questions, he’s quite happy with who he is and with the gender he currently has. it has to be said, however, that he knows very well that one of the reasons his nana was so encouraging for him to learn how to cook and provide for his family was because of who she thought he would grow into; the fact that she died before remy could put into words and tell her who he really was, and the question of whether or not she would have loved him enough to accept it, does nag at him from time to time.
oak : who would your muse consider the strongest person they know ?
without a doubt, it would have to be his father. as much as they argue, remy believes django to be the strongest person in the world, able to go through the hardest things a man can go through and still manage to be kind. that is saying something, really, since he does know a lot of people in his extended family: a lot of them went through separations, sickness, crisis and difficulties, but for remy, as much sympathy as he has for them, django is special specifically because, even though he had his own problems to take care of, he managed to find time to raise his sons and take good care of them, no matter how much they misbehaved. sometimes, when remy regrets the things he said to his father during their discussions, he thinks he doesn’t really deserve his father’s patience at all, especially in comparison to emile, who has always seemed more like the perfect son their father had always wanted: strong, reliable, confident, but also loyal, obedient, and easy-going.
sage : what is your muse’s legacy ? what do they want to be remembered for & what might they actually be remembered for ?
everything remy wants is to have a legacy, a name for himself, the reputation that comes from doing that which he loves: cooking. he’s desperate to be recognized and admired for his talent, to create cooking schools, encourage others to find the time to dedicate themselves to cooking a tasty meal, to pass their own knowledge and family recipes to their children; in short, to share his passion and enthusiasm for food with others, and be remembered for it.
he doesn’t know it yet, but the fact that he transitioned quite publicly in his family, and at a young age, showing others in his community just what the whole process entailed, and just how supportive, even despite the initial confusion, the whole family was, has other kids from the family questioning their own relationships with their gender; in a few generations, he’s more than likely to be the reason a lot of other people in the clan feel confident enough to come out to their family, and fondly remembered for it.
🍋 : what kind of diet does my muse have? do they eat regularly, or the standard 2-3 meals a day? do they have to be reminded to eat, or are they likely to remind others? do they cook, or have others cook for them? do they eat healthily, or not so much?
remy makes his very best to not skip a single meal. he’s the one who most often than not reminds the rest of the family of the importance of a good breakfast, or of drinking enough water. he also tries to be home to cook all the meals, since neither django nor emile can so much cook anything more than plain white rice and boil some premade pasta. however, of course, this is greatly affected by the ingredients they can manage to get: fresh fruits and vegetables are hard to find in his neighbourhood, and spices, while more common, can be extremely expensive. most of the time, remy has to get by with canned food, basic ingredients like bread, rice, flour and pasta, and salt and pepper. still, he makes his very best to put a creative spin on these staples and have something more substantial and tasty than his father’s trademark awful overboiled white rice with a runny egg on top.

anemone, chrysanthemum, lavender, parsley, peony
anemone : how does your muse view the world ; as a cruel & unforgiving place , a land full of wonders , or something in - between ? where does that world view come from ( what experiences , life lessons , etc . ) ?
Certainly, somewhere in between, which changes wildly depending on Sally’s mood or recent experiences. She has a sense of wonder and a strong appreciation to the beauty of the world; but she’s also extremely cautious and since she was very young her father has given her a marked distrust of anything that may be too good to be true. Living quite the sheltered life, Sally doesn’t have a lot of evidence that the world is truly the awful place her father makes it out to be, especially since, from the moment she began to socialize a bit more and get out of her comfort zone, Sally has known nothing but support and love. Still, her fears reign her desires to continue exploring and finding out more about the world; it is still something Sally’s working on.
chrysanthemum : how does your muse express romantic love ? how do they feel about love as a concept ?
Sally tries to be as practical as possible, and mentally, she knows that love is a bond developed by animals to protect each other and ensure their survival; and still, emotionally, she does see love as a romantic, beautifully poetic thing. This doesn’t exactly change the fact that Sally has a lot of difficulties expressing love, especially the romantic kind: she wants to love and be loved, and since she was a little girl she has dreamed of a romantic partner; but she’s far too shy to act on her feelings, and as such her expressions of love towards her crush are almost indistinguishable from those she gives to a friend.
lavender : how easy is it to gain your muse’s trust ? once their trust is broken , how might one go about mending it ?
Despite her caution and anxieties, Sally does believe most people are good at heart, and as such she’s not particularly suspicious of others’ intentions. She is, nonetheless, wary of sharing too much information about herself -since you never know if someone may turn out to be an ax murderer -or exposing her vulnerabilities too much. She tries to maintain the attitude she presents at work, mostly: approachable, helpful, kind and respectful. If that helps people trust her, then she will repay that trust with trust.
When that trust is broken, however, Sally can go either way: be completely heartbroken and desperate, locking herself up and retreating into herself for weeks; or become apparently numb while being quietly, seethingly resentful. Mending that breach of trust depends on the gravity of the situation; if it has been light enough, it may be fixed with a good apology or a kind actions; if it has been severe enough, however, it could have no way to be mended.
parsley : describe a holiday your muse enjoys , and why they enjoy it .
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween. As much of a scaredy cat as Sally may appear, she adores all things spooky and creepy: she believes it’s the one time when the scary things are all fake, all a game, and this encourages her to participate and have a good time. It helps that she loves costumes, storytelling and baking sweets: since she was young, it was the one event in Redwood Hollow that she always wanted to be present for, to be out and about; and, surprisingly for her, as long as she promised to get home before ten o’clock, her father allowed her to go trick-or-treatin’ with the rest of the kids. For Sally, Halloween is the best holiday there is, and she looks forward to it every year.
peony : what would a ‘ happy life ’ look like in your muse’s eyes ?
For Sally, a happy life would be one in which she is loved for who she is, not for what she can do; a quiet life with a simple steady job, a place of her own, and time to cook and bake and read and listen to music. In her fantasy of a perfect life there’s always a partner by her side, and perhaps a few children, but as often as she tries to imagine it, the details are fuzzy.

The salon had only been open for a few months but already they were starting to get regular customers that they were becoming attached to. Chelsea Katz was certainly one of them. They looked up from the counter as the bell dinged and a huge grin spread across their face.
“Well it’s about time!” They replied, pushing off the counter with a spin to meet her around the front. Plucking the sunglasses out of her hand and putting it into their head, they circled behind her to see what they were working with. “Oh yeah, it is definitely time for an update,” they agreed before motioning her along to the back.
Sitting her down in the chair, they draped a large black smock over her and fluffed her hair. “So, what has the great Ms. Katz been up to this last month? Find any fun stories?”
Chelsea run her hand through her curls, to better display them to the specialist. She flashed Morgan a smile and followed their commands, got comfortable in the chair, and raised her chin for them to adjust
“Oh, the great Ms Katz hasn’t had a good lead in ages,” she huffed. “Just puff pieces and the like. I’ve been searching high and low for some good stories in this town, some good bits of news... But they’re tricky, and they’re found better hiding places than usual.”
Chelsea glanced over her shoulder at her hairdresser, and sighed. “Alfredo Gusteau-Sør has strolled into town, if that’s something you’d be interested in knowing. Mrs Bạch had a garden party that I was not allowed into. The Hootenanny had nary a scandal nor a scene... Which I guess is a net good, all things considered.” She looked back at herself in the mirror, before looking back at Morgan. Her eyeglasses looked good on them, she had to admit. “But what about you? This place seems to have more life to it than the last time I passed by.”
