There was quite the sense of urgency as Nagito’s fist banged against his classmate’s door, with no regard for the hour whatsoever.  He was soaked to the bone and shivering, but felt no regard for his own wellbeing, as someone else’s took priority. In his arms, wrapped in his jacket to keep warm and safe, was a small kitten. Nagito presumed she was white once upon a time, but dirt and mud clung to her fur. She, too, shivered. Her meows were weak with little energy behind it; after all, she had little to spare. 

 He knew enough to know she was clearly homeless and starving; and as he’d watched her limp away from him and into a dark corner, he realised she was also injured. It took nearly a full hour to coax her from her hiding place, crouched in the rain, with his jacket poised to bundle the kitten in. With no vets or shelters open at this hour, and an abundance of fear for the cat’s health, he came to the one person he knew could, and would, help. 

 “Tanaka-kun, please open up! I know it’s late, but it’s an emergency!”

Masahiko staggered down the hallway of the dorm building, attempting to make as little noise as possible. After all, if the damned hall monitor caught him again, he doubted that the man would be amiable. Rigid upholding of the rules, set in stone, no flexibility. No chance of charming the tight uniform trousers off him, either; he’d tried last time. 

Still, it was his job as a host, why he was at Hope’s Peak in the first place. It just didn’t seem to occur to him that drinking and staying out so late was what was expected of him.

However, an advantage did occur to him, as his hazy gaze landed on that cute goth boy from another class, the one with the scarf. Beautiful, in an old-fashioned way. Pale, good bone structure, and he did like the way that dark, edgy aesthetic all came together on him. 

He stopped, footsteps halting, leaning seductively against the wall. “Hello, handsome,” He purred.

“Beautiful night, hm?”
