it's fascinating that in these last arcs, there's through line of keiwa's hypocrisy when it comes to the goddess. he's angry at her but still wants her to grant his wish -> didn't want to join's ace dgp at first bc there was no way for the goddess to atone for her sins -> and now that he's w/ tsumuri, a person w/ the goddess' powers, he doesn't hesitate to use her to get his wish to be more powerful to be granted

Exactly! The whole thing was never about anyone but his family. About the people he knew. And his own desires. Which, yes! Is fine! Let him hesitate and waffle and figure it out: but it’s telling.

Keiwa really chose to create a new Goddess. When he considered not fighting to protect people because he couldn’t make the last one atone.

And you realize he hasn’t truly changed much.

...an anon said (i'm previously mxbbadperson so that anon ask doesn't exist anymore unfortunately) jayce forcefully attic wife-ing viktor by kidnapping him and another anon said that they're freak4freak (and there's also trans viktor!) SO

viktor gets kidnapped and the first thing he notices is that:

this is such a nice room???

his cane is right next to him

doesn't think man look familiar (taliesin? talbot? tal...is? talis? didn't he talk this man off a ledge once upon a time?)

and viktor is terrified and asks what the man wants from him and he's surprised that the man answers that all he wants is to take care of viktor

viktor asks the man what he means by taking care and the man answers that the man wants to feed him and makes sure he rests and gives him all the soft and beautiful things. viktor is still wary but... the man seems to sound sincere

viktor carefully asks him if the man will let him go, the man says no, he won't because he finally has him now. viktor expects that of course so thinks about what he can do next. since the man wants to give him food... viktor demands food and a bath and he expects the man to be angry at his demands so viktor is shocked that the man nods and eagerly goes to fetch them

viktor thinks about what he'll do. he shouldn't push, he's still in the man's home and the man is big, can easily overpower him, but the gears of his mind are turning. the man comes back with a robe, toiletries and a change of clothes. viktor takes them all while keeping his eyes on the man. the man asks him what's wrong and viktor has made his decision then and there. he starts undoing his cravat.

the sound the man makes actually makes viktor grin, a small one but victorious and predatory. the man whirls around, trying his best not to look at him and viktor orders him to stay where he is. to his delight, the man does. viktor takes off his waistcoat, shirt and trousers. he picks up his cane and comes closer.

he watches with delight as the man's shoulders tense more and more as he comes closer. when viktor is right behind him, he orders the man to turn around. the man flinches, shuffles his feet. viktor waits. and to his absolute delight, the man does. his eyes widen as he takes viktor in his camisole and undergarments. viktor meets the man's eyes. and he murmurs if he means it, that he wants to give him all the soft and beautiful things. the man's eyes sharpens, daze lifting. he nods jerkily and stammers out that he does mean it!

viktor nods. he wraps his hand around the man's cravat and... he pulls him down. the man goes, eyes widening even further. viktor looks at him considering. he is handsome. and shockingly obedient. viktor whispers if the man will give him himself. he watches delighted as the dark of the man's eyes overtakes the hazel. yeah, the man says hoarsely, yeah, i'll give you myself

viktor's face softens. ah, right. he remembered now. thank you, jayce, he says gently. and he feels the shudder go through the man. you remember me? jayce whispers, utterly ruined. viktor nods, i wondered if you were doing well, i saw you leave with your mother and... i was relieved that you looked well. jayce's eyes shine. anything, viktor, i'll give you anything. i'll hold you to that, viktor answers.

viktor lets jayce's cravat goes and steps back, jayce leans forward to follow. first, you'll watch me bathe, viktor declares. and jayce turns red, all the way up to the tip of his ears to down his neck under his shirt collar. viktor waits. the man straightens. he doesn't leave. oh, viktor is so delighted by jayce.

viktor tells jayce not to close his eyes or turn away. viktor tells jayce to follow him and jayce does. viktor was scared then and is still wary now but his delight can't be stopped. viktor takes off his camisole and undergarments and jayce makes another cornered and wounded sound. viktor takes a bath while jayce stands there awkwardly. when viktor climbs out of the bath and puts on the robe, he innocently asks jayce if he can help him, hand held out.

jayce shuffles his feet. he goes and viktor wraps his arm around jayce's elbow. viktor sits down on the bed and tells jayce that he's hungry. jayce eagerly says that he'll go get some and goes. when he reaches the door, he turns back to viktor. viktor knows why. he softly says that he'll still be here when he returns. jayce's expression is one of such relief. he goes to get food. and as viktor waits he thinks about what he's going to do

two days later, sky meets viktor at some random person's house. viktor is eating lunch, a man sky has never seen before sitting beside him. viktor tells the man to give them space. the man hesitantly does. sky asks viktor if the man is one of his new boyfriends. viktor huffs, he isn't because it's... complicated. viktor thinks about it, well actually not complicated at all. he's my kidnapper

what! sky yells. and that he's staying, viktor finishes as if he didn't just give sky a heart attack. sky sputters, your kidnapper? your kidnapper?! and you're going back to him?! viktor shrugs and says he's not that bad, all things considered, he's actually a rather awful kidnapper. he's still your kidnapper, sky yells. and he let you come see me, viktor counters

and you're going to stay with him? sky cannot believe this, what is viktor saying?! and viktor nods. sky looks around the room they're in. this is a cage, viktor! it's a nice cage! viktor argues. sky looks at him utterly flabbergasted. there's cake, viktor gestures at the table. sky closes her eyes, janna give her strength, this man might actually drive her to tears

people calling ace a jerk or asshole annoys me bc it's obviously not true even in the first arc. yeah, the dude is an asshole so that's why he helped an infected player recover and tried to change another player's mind even though /not/ doing both would have helped him win

and... even ace not being as bad as he "looks" is said right there at the end of ep.2 w/ the donation

I don’t think (from watching episode 7) that Ace was really a jerk.

You could argue that he was ‘using’ Keiwa or that he ‘manipulated’ him and what not but let’s be honest here

Even before Ace did anything Keiwa wanted to use boost buckle PLUS no one told Keiwa to do what he did alone. But Keiwa was set on doing it himself and not relying on anyone and / or putting anyone in danger and therefore what happened afterward was his own fault.

All Ace did was save his life, thereby getting a powerup he knew he would get from the secret mission.

What was he gonna do? Tell Keiwa about the secret mission? So Keiwa can get the powerup and win the game? Lol no.

That wouldn’t make any sense to anyone playing a competitive game unless you genuinely didn’t care about winning.

The only part that was Ace being a jerk was him putting up a front / using the mask of ‘jerk’ in order to (1) toughen Keiwa up to stop being so damn trusting of other competitors and (2) push him/everyone else away because Ace obv doesn’t want to get too close to anyone.

That’s why he keeps making everything conditional 🤪.

viktor is a radio dj and he has a caller that only calls when he's on shift. he's had a shitty week and it call comes crashing down on friday when he gets a call from his always caller.

and what comes after is viktor trying to talk his always caller down from killing people and helping people survive. and viktor notices that all of his always caller's victims are people who've caused him problems one way or another. wait. no. that can't be it. right...?

viktor breathed in. the phone went off. he had a guess on who it was. he clenched his fists then opened them slowly. he picked up the calle. 'this is 41.1, Song of Your Heart and this DJ V talking to the all-nighters. got a song for me, caller?'

'v,' that familiar voice said. viktor swallowed. 'i'd like,' a thoughtful hum, 'slow dance with you by saint eva.'

'what a romantic,' viktor managed to say playfully. he went looking for the song. fuck, fuck, anything to keep his mind calm.

the caller chuckled. 'feeling romantic! only two people left now.'

viktor grimaced. fuck. 'can't you just let them go?' he asked again.

'no, i can't.' viktor gritted his teeth, why the fuck not? he put the song on. he was ready to play it. it was baffling that he was still doing this even after everything, what the fuck was wrong with him? he breathed out, right, he had to keep calm.

'not even for me?' viktor pleaded. there was silence. viktor waited, his heart loud in his ears.

a sigh. 'okay,' the caller said softly. viktor's shoulders relaxed, holy shit that fucking worked?! 'but you know what that means right?'

viktor's stomach clenched. oh goddamnit, he was gonna have a stomach ache on top of the stress?! 'what?'

'that i can see you now,' the caller said excitedly, even breathless with it. viktor's stomach dropped. well. he won't have a stomach ache now, he thought hysterically. 'wait for me, v. i'll have that slow dance with you.'

'thank you for calling!' viktor blurted out. he hanged up then pressed play. I'm waitin' for that slow dance, so I can feel your arms around me, a woman's voice started singing. I could be your best friend I could be your centerpiece, I could be your soulmate, I could be your everything.

he turned around in his chair and looked at his door. it was past midnight and he was the only one around. the walk from the booth and his car was a long way. he grabbed his cane. he had to get out of here.)

Yeah, so I was thinking with the red string of faith/love being created between Michinaga and Ace with their canonical stuff doesn't seem to work for me unless I add extra feelings into Ace because well he's Ace.

And he isn't that emotionally connected to Michinaga and I don't think he treats that rivalry seriously either, more like he's over it.

Like he will feel a normal amount of guilt if he directly killed Michinaga and maybe even is fine with the feelings that came to be due to a misunderstanding (i thoroughly believe Ace has not killed someone who was actually a good person and hasn't attempted to kill him first, death by elimination doesn't count).

So I don't think Ace's feelings for Michinaga could create a new red string of love if we follow that path.

I do see it happening from Michinaga's end though, like you did specify- Him chasing behind Ace with that Red string.

After all there's a thin line between love and hate. So it's a possibility for Michinaga to fall for Ace before Ace would even think about that.

So a pre-existing red string of fait is the only string I can think of between them. One that binds them together irrespective of their current feelings and history and them having to work through it.

I do think Ace could form a bond with Neon and Keiwa a lot more easier...

Neon being the first from DGP games we watched where he shared about his mother and the way Keiwa seems to be sticking with him and trusting him despite their history.

But I think it would have been the best with Win... Maybe faster even, cause there was some real good chemistry even in the few moments they interacted (well made me have many thoughts at least.)
